I am from Pakistan, Lahore. I own this phone too. I dont know which model of lg vu3 i have, but the thing i know is it wont support warid LTE as i have confirmed it from warid's franchise. This phone suffers alot from some sort of battery disease XD. It shuts down whenever it wants and then keeps on rebooting until it dies with zero battery.

All Vu 3 models from Korea have LTE Bands 1, 3, 5, and 7. Type 5457#*300# on the dial pad. Go into LTE MULTI BAND Test Mode. You should be able to select appropriate LTE Band once you are in that menu.

LG does provide official update by connecting to PC via USB.

All 3 versions of LG Vu3 from Korea have the same LTE bands built in. 5457#*300# will get you into the programming screen. "LTE MULTI BAND Test Mode" You can choose appropriate LTE band once in that mode. LTE 1800 is LTE Band 3. LTE Band 2600 is LTE Band 7. Or you can always set to LTE Band All. You should be able to connect to 4G after you select the right frequency.

I have the Korean Specification VU3 and it does have the card slot, it also came with two batteries and a TV ariel (not usable outside korea) There is an international variant which does not have the card slot or extras that the Korean one does, so check the version before you buy

I bought this phone in China, is the best phone I ever had. Powerful and fast. I have the dark blue version but I bought the white for my wife and the green for my mom... The battery is the only issue. I had traveled across the globe and if the local simcard has 4G , it connects like a charm... Waiting for the VU 4 and the official lollipop upgrade

Hi all. I just bought a used lg VU f300 in pakistan. My problem is that 4G is not working on it. People say my phone has different 4g band frequency than available 4g band in my country which is 1800 MHz (FDD-LTE Bands 3). Now how would i know on which 4GLTE band my handset can connect to 4g? As there is only one (800Mhz) frequency is mentioned on gsmarena. As all korean handsets have three different varients i.e. S, L, K. Like f180S,f180L,f180k. How can i find out about my device, whether it is f300S, f300L or f300k? As my phone is showing no information about its varient.

I have one and actually using it while typing this message. The fone itself is great ... but the only flaw was the battery itself, even thou it has a spare one when I bought it the battery runs dry fast when I'm using it for surfing the net or just watching news from any sports app. Wish i could replace it with a higher capacity battery it can last one day tops when your just using SMS and making calls only.

If it does come to you, it will be over USB connection to computer, and likely not over-the-air. My LG GPro2 was that way.

Hi Jam, you check in software update if it has updatable version of Kitkat already then be sure you have a strong WiFi connection and be sure it is fully loaded battery. If you already have the above mention basic connection then start it update via OTA. It automatically detect and continue updating your software version it takes long to finish. If in case you lose connection do not continue cancel it and resume back to zero after a couple of hours. It will restart by own until everything has been in good state. Good luck no worries mine was successful just sharing.

thanks but problem was already solved. In fact I already rooted my vu3 by following instructions from lgviet.com site. Now I'm very happy after I discovered the software called Xposed Framework.

Mine is F300K and there's no char limit in SMS. But yes rooting is necessary. just try your luck at lgviet.com but use chrome browser for automatic english translation

The orginal LG Vu came with a gsm version. The LG Vu 2 was never released with a gsm version. The Lg Vu 3 will most likely never be released with a gsm version. Unfortunately. I have the original vu and love it. I wanted the Lg vu 2 gsm version, but they never came out with it. Lg is missing out. There is a market out there for the gsm versions of these phones.

This is the perfect Phablet not too awkward to hold like taller ones and it won't look too big if you hold it to you ear. Honestly the taller phabs offer no advantages to this one. The styling of this beast is too good for other phabs in the competition. Will definitely buy this when it hits the market. Hopefully sooner here in Philippines.

So LG didn�t cancel its Vu series. Maybe there is still a market after all for phones with screens that has 4:3 aspect ratio. It maybe short & stout but the 4:3 aspect ratio is actually better for reading ebooks and web browsing.
