Meizu E3 - User Reviews

  • Flopped device

  • Hi. It is available on the Chinese market, also for the entire world via Chinese retailers, like AliExpress. One question, though, as it may be not clear: The phone has the Chinese version of Flyme OS ROM and the retailer will install a multi-language ROM, including Google services for the buyers outside China, but then it they say "no OTA". I am curious to see if the process of installing a multi-language ROM will affect the phone, being able to receive OTA software updates. If so, better let the phone with the original ROM (you get in in English, anyway).

  • A review, please!

  • Hi meizu, Come to indonesia, Meizu e3 very interesting

  • It is already coming with Google apps inside.

  • Is the front camera pixel size really 1.4 micron? I doubt...it might be 1.12 micron, but I didn't get any sensor, focus information anywhere. If it' s really 1.4 micron Sony sensor, then by using Gcam pictures will be awesome

  • Me too!!!

  • It is available for 250 euros approximately.

  • Still wondering why high end phones don't have FM radio ... Is that such a serious problem to put a FM receiver chip inside?

  • Not available on AliExpress. Meizu E3 is the most selling phone in China in the segment.

  • You can order it on AliExpress...

  • 53% for 30 minutes is fast ? I cant decide on what i get. Either i get M6s or this as there dimensions of how tall they are as 152mm on M6s and 156.8mm on E3 are not that much. I like that it has 3.5mm and type-c as i have a phone now that have type-c but is really budget range and i want to replace it but i like to have type-c. The low budget Leagoo Kiicaa Mix that i have charges over 50% in 30 minutes to but has 2950mAh battery in it.

  • where can i buy this

  • It's funny because I just replaced my Moto Z for a Meizu just because I wanted Flyme. Pure Android (or almost pure) s**ks. It's so boring I couldn't stand anymore. I've had Nexus, TouchWiz, Flyme, MIUI, Nokia X android, Motorola android, and I definitely prefer modified Android because most of them have features that pure Android will probably never have.

  • I really wish this device worked on LTE in the USA on T-Mobile

  • It is possible to install Google Play and all services. It has English language.

  • Everything is great (almost perfect), except no Android One and no Project Treble (apparently an Android 8.x feature), so no go for me. :( Redmi 5 Pro is also SD636, but the dimensions and the rounded screen... Impossible to find a phone that everyone needs. :)

  • Meizu E3 will be the xiaomi RN5 killer. It's only drawback is it's UI because it comes with Nougat even in 2018 and may be it will take forever to get an update to Oreo if comes. Hope it'll get update soon then it'll be a beast in this price segment.

  • Meizu E3+LineageOS= beast

  • Does it have English lamguage with google play store?

  • Are these phones are ever coming to India as still M3Note and M5 are the only phone available here and even the M3Note does not have volte option as of now.

  • This phone is beast.

  • This fhone runs SD 636

  • How does this phone compare with Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone 5 which have similar specs. What will be their price range in India. Will it be able to create some competition to Note 5 Pro in India

  • How does this compare with Redmi Note 5 Pro and Azus Zenfone 5 which have similar specs.

  • Phone is fantastic and the price is even better.

  • will it work in uk?

  • Meizu always outperformed Xiaomi in craftmanship and their customized UI/OS. The RMN5's back is way too ugly and their MIUI cann't be compared to FlymeOS for providing use a seamless experience.

  • Good phone. But I think Xiaomi redmi note 5 pro(note 5 Chinese) is better. Meizu have better back camera but front is better on Xiaomi. Also Meizu is very bad with updates,so I think that this phone will stay on Nougat forever. And soon is coming Android P, and this will be 2 gen. behind. Also Meizu is not available in many countries, and service support is terrible. But it's good to see another low price player on Chinese market, with good specs.Thay will put price even lower.

  • Still nougat? Even xiaomi redminote 5 have update to oreo and support project treble. The thing is xiaomi better in updating their os even my redmi 1s get miui9. Unfortunately the android base still in lollipop. With project treble support I hope every oem's could give android update quicker.

  • nfc?

  • I love the side positioned fingerprint sensor. A stock android option would have made this an awesome model.

  • I like to display phone 1×2

  • It looks like they will use a sd636 which is a really good chip in terms or performance and efficiency

  • Depending on availability and camera quality I might buy this over the redmi note 5 pro. They are quite similar deals (both really good btw), and the things making me hesitant about buying a note 5 pro are the charging speed and the design, both of these problems aren't present in this phone.

  • I really dont think this phone will run mediatek. But its a rumour isnt it? Lets wait few days so we can see whats inside this beast.

  • Looks far worse than promising. That large ram and large camera all packed up in a little chipset that is an Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53.Probably some weak media tek chipset. They could have went with far better chipset like SD 660 or the helio X25/27.

  • Looks promissing for a really good price.
