  • My first Meizu was M5c(almost accidentally, then I was always more inclined towards Galaxy Note, I bought M5c as an no money temporary solution), it is an above average solid budget phone,and I get what people dont like... FlyOS and Home 3D button, but you switch to GooglePlay effortlessly(2 min) and Home button copied the best stuff from Android and Apple(you literally need 2 min. to check what all it can do and to get accustomed to it). But Meizu became my household brand when I bought PRO6 4gb/64gb and figured out Meizu is on to something here,got blown away just how great it looks,feels&works. Unibody(from one part of metal) is great, it's among Top 5 thinnest phones out there(I compared it with Mi A2 and Poco F1 and they look like they are from 2013, just how fat & plastic they look/feel compared to), it feels great in hand,doesn't slip, build feels so solid, camera&flash is great, it's fast and never gets clunky BECAUSE the first time in history of smartphones: leftover "bloatware" of FlyOS is actually totally useful stuff(that keeps phone fresh and fast+some apps i didn't even knew i need(like autorec phonecalls, also whole toolbox is useful) I didn't saw on any other smartphone.Also, design is finally something different(no notches or such nonsense), it feels like vinyl of smartphone world, it has small but loyal following who "get it". Meizu put some real thought when they build them, 5,2" is perfect if you use it as an daily driver,fast with 1 or 2 hands,feels great when gamin or watching movies. Also, I never had a problem with hardware , ever.. and I'm at my 4th Meizu(Pro6 Plus).. And then I saw Meizu 16th White( most beautiful smartphone on the planet, bar none) and guess what will my next smartphone be :)! Remember, this come's from Samsung Galaxy Note ex-fanboy and I know I sound almost as some shill , but if there was ever an unjustly bad-rep brand than it's Meizu.

  • Regret every second that I bought it. Works fine for a year, and then begins restarting out of nowhere and each reboot is like 10 minutes, because of it's operating system Flyme, which is being released without checking at all.

  • Not a lot. there are times the GPS needs calibration. but most of the time it's decent-ish.

  • the GPS is pretty decent tbh. it does it's work and calibrate fairly fast. it does needs help from WIFI and the cellular antennas when the distance error marginality is large. but all in all. it's decent. not as crappy as everyone claim.

  • I have same opinion, the stores of Chinese phones put on their devices bad roms, I had a meizu mx5 and I was very disappointed and sad after my purchased, but if you install developer ROM of flyme os English/Chinese Use root and topntp The cameras improves almost 3 times of autofocus quality, battery life and everything I'm sure is going to be the same with pro 6

  • Very good phone, good camera. Fingerprint works very well. The only complaints is about the news popping up often in Chinese, and I can't get rid of that, except by rooting... but then the sync on Meizu account is lost. All network I tried are working well (Asia, Europe)

  • I have the phone fm 3 months. I'm quite satisfied since I was coming fm iPhones. Generally the phone is fast, stable, and with a good endurance. Using his quick charger is at 100% in not more than an hour. Photos are nice as screen resolution. Dual sim is efficient, tested worldwide flying around the world as data performances. I'm using original software only with 2 sim from different countries. With a sd slot available will be perfect.

  • Can you believe this phone using Super Amoled but cant even reach infinite contrast level like the other phones using amoled screen? Meizu is so bad at callibrating their hardware. The color accuracy of white is way off. It pretty much bad. Not just slightly but really really blueish. What the hell Meizu? That blue wallpaper not hidding your flaw at all.

I read specifications and bought that few month ago and i had lots of problems. 1 - GPS doesn't work (i tried everything to fix but still couldn't fix) 2 - it was fast before but getting slow day by day, i don't believe this numbers (4gb ram, deca core) 3 - network is disappearing sometimes 4 - doesn't have NFC 5 - i am living with charge, ok, its true that quick charging but the same way quick decharging 6 - warranty doesn't care if you have problems, they are recommending that give phone for a month and not giving you phone instead, 1 month i have to wait without phone. so i am trying to sell this phone half price and planning to buy a phone from the real companies like as sony or samsung...

  • Please don't get the Mate S. The Kirin 935 is a pretty shitty chipset. If you're really into Huawei, get Mate 8/P9 instead. As for Meizu, I still think the Pro 5 is much better than the Pro 6. Pro 6 is not worth its price. Alternatively, the MX6 is not bad too.

  • I had the same problem with my mx5. You have to use the developer version of flyme. It has the newest drivers of camera sensor. After change to original dev ROM my camera improves a lot Old ROM 4/10 Dev ROM 9/10

  • The thing is that ZTE Axon 7's camera hardware is good but their software ain't. So there's an quite easy solution to this issue, just install Open Camera app from PlayStore and use it instead of the default camera app. The camera quality improves drastically after using Open Camera instead of the default camera app.

  • I have been using the phone for 2 weeks and here are my observations. The phone is fast, you wont feel any slowdowns on your daily use even when playing the usual games. The battery life is impressive considering the size. Compared to my older vibe z2 pro with the 4000mah battery, the meizu lasts around the same time. The quick charge is fantastic, I can confirm the claim that the battery gets charged in an hour. The speakers are really nice compared to other phones I've used. There are only two main complaints about the phone. The first one is the camera quality. Sometimes the pictures are underexposed, other times overexposed, not to mention that sometimes the white balance goes way off the scale. The second issue has to do with the annoying aggressive memory/power management scheme. It is anoying that apps close automatically after 3 minutes from screen lock. No amount of setting adjustments seem to fix it. So should you get one? well if you like the style of the phone go for it. If you are looking for power look else where. I heard ZTE is releasing a beast of a phone.

  • i always been a fan of meizu. Before, the specs of meizu flagships are comparable to other manufacturer's flagships but now I think they are lagging behind. I like them because before, they only release one phone per year, and i think that's great since they only releases one phone per year, they could focus on firmware updates and support but i was disappointed, they started to release more phones annually, and failed to provide firmware updates on previous models (or it took ages). I love the implementation of their home key and the slide up to view the tasker. capacitive keys are pain in the ass when playing games or watching in landscape mode and also, why the heck the camera settings are always in portrait mode? is it that hard to rotate the ui when you are trying to shoot on landscape? anyway, great design.

  • I love the screen size and the reduction over the pro 5. The screen on the pro 5 is just too big! I really wanted to buy a new ANDROID flagship this ya as my One M7 is getting on. Still works great but the drops have been taking their toll on the poor thing. Unfortunatly, all flagships released so far have failed to impress me. I wanted the HTC 10 but the removal of the front speakers has turned me away. Samsung or LG, do not even go there. I will never buy one of either brands. This is why i was looking to the Pro 6. Its nice, Yes it looks a bit like an iPhone which I hate but otherwise, I like it for the price. The let down is the X25! I would have purchased it had it used an 820 or even a damn Exynos. Guess ill just wait another year. I do love the Nexus 6P but i cannot stand vanilla Android not that ugly black window on the back.

  • Indeed, this new phone doesn't deserve the "Pro" tag. It would've been better if they named it just MX6, because that's what it's essentially is. It's MX6 pretending to be Pro 6. A smaller display, a processor which may be have same power as 7420 but uses inferior quality DDR3 RAM instead of DDR4 RAM and smaller battery. This phone is undeniably a downgrade from Pro 5.

  • X25 isn't as good as 7420 and it is way less powerful than 8890 Octa. 8890 Octa is way more powerful than not only X25 but also Snapdragon 820. Meizu Pro series phones always used to be powered by top of the line Exynos chipsets, but this phone clearly is a bummer, no doubt X25 has almost the same amount of processing power as 7420 Octa but 7420 Octa supports faster DDR4 RAM so overall app launch and load speeds of 7420 Octa is still better than X25. This phone is essentially a downgrade from Meizu Pro 5.

  • Battery life ain't gonna disappoint because Helio x25 is efficient and i4 processor is also efficient in playing heavy games because there is running only two big architectures a72. Remember it has full hd amoled display and 10core chip running from low to high which will give you the best battery life even though it has only 2560mah and I'm sure it will give at least 7 hours usage and fast charging which is more than enough for a day. Those who don't play games will have amazing battery.

Just take out any 1-2 items and you will have a LOSER.

  • Meizu m3 note has 4100mah but this has lower mah. M3 note arrives about 2days with that battery and screen. But pro 6 cant do it. It arrives 1 day but it cant arrive the second day.. So i am going for mx6 or m3 note... Also m2 metal.

  • No OIS...I've been using pro 5 for 6 months now the only downside is the lack of OIS..no reason to upgrade to pro 6

  • It has got 91.000 score from antutu.with mediatek helio x25! It is great but it has 5.2 inch full hd screen. I was waiting for 5.7 quad hd resolution. I think it maybe pro 6 mini..

  • My next phone... If i were in meizu company i would put infrared port for remoting tv etc. And do it 4100 mah like m3 note. You can do this because it is bigger thsn m3 note and more expensive . goodl luck meizu!

  • I hope it is MediaTek ..... Exynos is lagging on the games like gta SA. Mediatek is a batter choice.

  • Meizu now uses MediaTek Helio X25, those it supports LPDDR4 & Qualcomm quick charge 3.0? The leaks on it's design & specs are becoming more & more interesting as it move closer to it's annoucement date, I am anticipating the release of this phone to become my next upgrade.

  • Meizu seriously loves to troll all brands, especially Samsung, it uses the same Exynos chip as some of the flagship Galaxy devices but beats them and their Snapdragon counterparts down in terms of not only benchmark scores but also in terms of real world performance. Sometimes I think Samsung must learn a thing or two from Meizu regarding proper OS optimisation. Their Touchwiz UI is nowhere as smooth as the beautiful and intuitive FlyMe OS.

  • Can anyone who owns a Meizu smartphone tell me is the M fast battery charging equivalent to Qualcomm's quick charge or something entirely different? Would it be the same charging technology as Samsung's since it uses Samsung's Exynos chipset? Please enlighten me.
