Meizu Pro 7 Plus - User Reviews

 • This phone doesn't seem bad, except for the fact that it was released after the much better built Galaxy S8.

 • multitasking is S U C K

 • Well I have Meizu Pro 7 Plus since 2017, got it online from China for some 350+100 = 450 EUR at the time. First had a problem when after getting out of the airplane - phone didn't want to start. Luckily in Cairo / Egypt - Meizu has certified service so repaired the phone in a week. Problems continued with unclear microphone, people I talked to over the phone complaining about the low sound. Next thing was and still is back camera which "shifted" and gives no focus, you need to slap it few times so that camera comes to its place to make focused photos, no service wants to deal with it unfortunatelly, front camera is great though. In general, phone is fast, very good looking, batery is solid, fast charging fills it in half an hour which is great. Display resolution has no rival on the market now. System updates are not automatic which is annoying, you have to download the ZIP file from Meizu / Flyme web site, unpack it on your phone and update your phone. Never did it, having in mind possibility that phone does not start after update and service shop is nowhere near (in Austria).

 • This phone is terrible. It got 6gb but multitasking is suck. Every app reloaded when launch on multitasking.. useless 6gb of ram. Crap. PUBG graphic setting LOW. Mediatek is just can't.

 • This phone currently sells for around $220 at my place. Is this still a good buy in 2019?

 • A good substitute for my long and almost deceased 2 year old iPhone 6... this one looks fancy enough for my taste... See you soon bud

 • This phone will never have Oreo or Pie because it's a Mediatek

 • The ideal smartphone. Better than a notch or a hole in the screen. Why Samsung or Apple didn't think in this solution?

 • This phone looks nice and pretty impressive. It would be better with an expandable storage and probably running on Qualcomm SD. But I'm not judging. The idea of having a small display behind to use it like an Always-on-Display on a Samsung.

 • Half perfect, because Meizu don't give a sh.t on Global users, Flyme updates (big or small) are very scarce and some China ROM features are missing. This model and his smaller brother, Pro 7, have only two Global ROM updates available since their release date. Only the last one, from June 2018, brought Android 7.0 (released back in 2016) and I'm sure these phones will die with this version.

 • Hai there, anyone using this phone.? Can u please let me know, does this device support mtk engineering mode.?

 • What's wrong with using the cloud?

 • Because we can transfer the video or files in sd card

 • I mean, it only does one of those things wrong. I'm curious, why is micro SD card slot important to you?

 • Any issues with app compatibility with the X30 on the Play Store?

 • Two things: - removing 3.5 mm jack - no SD card slot Stupid companies make stupid decisions

 • In Hyderabad any service centres On top of what is the display glass

 • which prosser

 • it seems pretty good.....but i didn't see any display protection

 • I love Meizu's UI and experience. But not their devices. Frankly.

 • Is because it's underpowered. Sure. 10 cores architecture is welcome feature. But we need more graphical power!

 • yeah I know, but he also seem to state that you are a Meizu fangirl coz you like Meizu, which I assume he thought of the company as Japanese one :3

 • He referred to my nickname: "Kiyasuriin" (Kee-yah-Soo-ree-yin) xD

 • does he know that Meizu is not a Japanese brand? :3

 • (Geez! Stop erasing my stuff!) First off. I care for both design (as a woman) and preformance (as a gamer and devoloper) Can you show me another phone that looks as unique as this? (And I don't mean that russian dual screen shit. I want two colorful screens!) I have a rather compact phone, the standard S9. And the iPhone 8(from work. I use it as my iPod touch when I don't need to work on iOS projects). And my PDA. (Costum built. Let's keep it like that. A mini Meizu Pro 7. Just better) Secondly. The fact I use japanese like name DOES NOT neccesarily mean I'm a Japanese person. Sure. I do love the japanese culture. And I consider myself Otaku. But nope. Not japanese. I'm actually from the EMEA zone! ;D

 • sorry for the "BULL$HIT" part I just don't like mindless sheeps saying this is AWESOME just because they are fans (you look Japanese so I thought you were a Meizu fanboy/girl) but seriously what would you do with a lowlife MTK flagship? another thing weren't you looking for a compact flagship? go for IPhone 8 or sony Xperia XZ2 compact ;-)

 • People have different needs, mate. Really. For me it's Okay.

 • BULL$HIT D:< no water protection no SD blow average proformence no radio super thin adaptor (F2.0) dual noise reduction camera is $HIT (look were that got XIAOMI XP) no smoth FHD or slowmotion recording maybe good for a cheap flagship but other wise :P no disrespect but the look isn't everything if you don't believe me then see ZTE nubia's dual notch glass phone (AKA dropping phobia)

 • Perfect phone. By all means... If it had SD card it's absulutely worthy.

 • no NFC

 • worth, MTK X30 is good, 10nm is a huge upgrade

 • I buy meizu pro 7 plus last week it's not support uber driver app in Australia eny suggestions for that

 • hi there is it worth to buy?????

 • Yes. Just the global version

 • does this phone supports Arabic Language?

 • this is the same like Nexus 6p lol, just better

 • Meizu Pro 8 Plus will be the best mobile design. All screen front bezeless. And same tiny screen at the back for selfie.

 • Less GPU? If u say about the CPU I agree it is a beast, but the GPU?!?!?! Dude, the GPU is just way too weak, weaker than the Adreno 530, and u are saying that the MEDIATEK X30's GPU is more powerful than the SNAPDRAGON 835?!?!?! Benchmarks already show the truth man, it scored lower than SNAPDRAGON 820 in almost all aspects except for GeekBench, if u want to confirm check it elsewhere, and now u are saying it have better GPU than SNAPDRAGON 835 when the truth has already been spoken? Stop embarrassing yourself...

 • Yes i agree, but the way you present you opinion sounds like you are an idiot (no offence). The Oneplus 5T is a better buy. Reasons: 1. More reliable chance of future software updates 2. Higher quality camera 3. A much, more powerful processor and integrated GPU 4. Snapdragon processor power efficiency over the un-optimized Mediacrap processors; so the 3500mAH will be drained faster because of the terrible efficiency of Mediatech processors. 5. Reliable brand 6. Up to 8GB of RAM 7. Optic Amoled display 8. Larger screen to body ratio

 • Using this phone since August... No Lags... but I'm disappointed with the software updates... No updates since October 😏😏😏

 • I highly respect 16:9 ratio. Please give us bezel-less and sabre quad-DAC inside.

 • go for one plus 5 for less Resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels and less GPU :)

 • love you bro . completely my thoughts

 • when will it come to India?

 • At this price range better go for oneplus 5

 • It's Already available on PC Express

 • when will it come in phil

 • when it will come to india??

 • no need of front camera

 • Just as i said before the review came out.Significant noise in the low light pics. Finer detail eaten away. Now we got proof. Next time go with a f/1.6 2um ish single camera with OIS.

 • r u srs?

 • well its android soo no go

 • They should keep producing Pro 6 plus cuz no one is gonna buy this one. Nothing about this phone is flagship.

 • i was really waiting for this review. Had my hopes high it will cross 100h.

 • Excellent phone i just love it. Great in everything. And the price and specs is outstanding.

 • Lol

 • "Only" 70h undurance rating. Disappointing . Worse than Pro 6 Plus.

 • why you speak like you had used the phone already? your comment is just based on specification on paper which is utterly useless. "when will the selfie hype finish?" - never. as long as we have face, we will have selfie. "we dont care how you look?" - we care, its just you who dont care. "STOP making selfies. You're pathetic! " - no, your comment is pathetic, seriously. kids should not allowed to comment here, kids are full of hatred when we let them go wild in the internet.

 • i recommend you use nokia 105,it doent have the things you remarked as useless so for you 105 is best choice

 • complaining about every launched smartphone as if u wanna buy them all or as if u placed an order so that they make for you alone. Then go for v30, note8, s8, or wait for mate 10 or mix 2 or iPhone 8 to be released and buy them all. Or open your company. I love this phone.

 • - NO SD card slot - NO waterproofing - Mediatek chipset bleah - Everybody knows it's a lottery buying a chinese brand - you get outdated eMMC memory but they lie to you saying you get the latest USF 2.1 (cough cough Huawei cough) - That secondary screen is pure useless bs. When will the selfie hype ever finish? We don't care how you look like. STOP making selfies. You're pathetic! No THANKS! I'm not interested!

 • Helio X30 is same level as Snapdragon 835. Both uses 10nm design and Helio X30 have Cortex-A73 cores which can be competed with Kryo cores on Snapdragon 835.

 • how to set clock on second screen, after wallpaper been setted?

 • if you want to do serious photography like family picture to frame on the wall etc. you will need a dedicated real camera..smartphone camera is good nowadays but it will never beat the dedicated camera.. my smartphone is 20.7mp with sony sensor, but whenever i look back picture that i took with my old broken point-and-shoot 4mp canon, it never fails to amaze me. with the same amount of money to buy flagship smartphone nowadays, you can get a very good dedicated camera and mostly have high megapixel count to suit your needs.

 • i think it w'll be great. cuz helio x30 process is 10 nm.

 • well it wont..no meizu came with flagship snapdragon chipset so far..i dont think helio x30 is far away from snapdragon 835, lets wait until gsmarena done with the review.

 • you don't have any idea about the capability of MTK Helio X or P series, SDfanboy

 • Can anyone confirm if this has Band 4 for T-Mobile US?

 • Impressed me about rare came portrait selfie but if this phone come with Snapdragon 835 or 821 i will buy it suddenly i promise

 • Has anyone managed to get their hands on the pro 7 plus? Is it top notch? How does the battery last?

 • I agree with your point. But a good photographer can compensate using flash, low ISO and longer exposure. In film days,I can only afford iso 400 is good enough for low light. I guess these phones are made for people that use the point and shoot mode only.

 • You know why many phones using lower megapixels like such as 12MP and not 16MP and above? It is to increased their performance on low-light condition. And you said 12MP is too low or whatever you said, simply, I give you two pictures. First picture was captured with only 12MP but super sharp, high details and natural on colours. The second one was captured with 23MP but blurry, low details and oversaturated. Which one you'll choose?

 • From which site please provide the link..

 • No ois!?!

 • how fast is mCharge 4.0? i remember in pro 5 mCharge 2.0 got 67% in 30min in realtime but battery was 3000mah~

 • How can I get this phone?

 • I'm waiting for my phone too.. ordered via Aliexpress 6gb 64gb black

 • I already got mine, just today.

 • Helio X20 can easily beat sd810.

 • For me, picture is to preserve memories for future. 12mp is way to low for future device. May argue that it is enough for prints. Will for my and older generations with degrading eye sights we prefer to see our photo on the big screen tv. Which currently the highest resolution is 4k and ~8mp. But if I am taking pictures for the furture, I need it to look good for the 8k TVs so my son and grand son can stand in front of the TV and say grandpa looks good.

 • the sensors and apertures used is important... not the mega pixels... even 8mp can capture good pictures...

 • That is one way to say a big fat lie. Do you know how snappy the 16nm Helio P20 is ? 10nm X30 will be much snappier.

 • But the kryo in SD820 can beat it

 • Cortex-A57 in SD810 can't beat Cortex-A73 in X30

 • No ios or eis

 • In fact even soc without any big cores run better IRL than 810 on most tasks (except maybe some game loading)...that includes helio P20 or qualcomm S625... X20 with the same 20nm process is faster too...maybe you can find some apps that don't use the decacore properly, but most will (most incredible exemple is that Chrome doesn't use it properly, cortex A72 aren't used at all on it, when Chrome Dev/Beta/Canary are ok since many time) X30 can be compared to 835 (except on 3d benchmarks)

 • You must speak about results published un december... That's pre-series! As my X20 scores better, about 1550/4500 in 20nm, X30 on 10nm will give obviously better results... According to A73 and 2.6ghz, I think single core will have between 2100 and 2200pts. And as geekbench 4 seem to penalise high number of cores (compare to geekbench 3), I think about 6000pts. Wait and see and forget scores of december!

 • Emm no? Even if they have a "godlike" deca-core, the single core and mulit core scores in GEEKBENCH 4 is lower than current high end chipsets. Are u sure they will shiver? Or is MEDIATEK scared of them that's why they released this chipset which is a disappointment in the single core and multi core since it is a deca-core and got beaten by QUALCOMM's high end octa-core SNAPDRAGON 835? SAMSUNG's octa-core EXYNOS 8895? Apple's QUAD-CORE A10?! Lol

 • No it's not. In fact, even SD810 beat X30 most of the time in real life performance.

 • Phone looks great lets see what first of its user will say.

 • r11 and 1+5 dont have ois

 • one plus 5 have ois?

 • no..the dumbest thing ever is edge and misaligned fingerprint location

 • MTK for power and cost saving. we still dont know how Helio X30 perform so no talk until the day it release.

 • I agreed with you, it does not support memory extension might be a drawback of this phone. But may I know, nowadays which flagship mobile phone support removable battery? Maybe you can let me know as I also looking for it. Thanks....

 • yup, that's the way it is!!!

 • is that hard to flip your phone just for notifications??? I mean, is not a big deal, just flip it, iam not criticizing this second screen feature, come on how many phone companies do improvements this days??? it is something new, this make other people considering to rethink their next device and offer us some good stuff over there!

 • Megapixels too low. 16 is the minimum for good sharp photos.

 • I always have my phone on the table face down so this would be very useful to see my notifications without flipping over my phone.

 • Pro This phone really charged so fast. Con This phone don't have ois just like oneplus 5, oppo r11 and zte .

 • No SD Card slot? Not enough memory. Non-removable battery. No deal.

 • Deca-Core ! WTF !

 • Come on mate!! Stop this mockery and go get a life

 • Man, where Exynos soc for Meizu Pro series now ? Pro series this day using MTK..

 • Well there is one useful thing about it and that is if you love selfies, you can use the main camera while framing the picture using the secondary screen. Apart from that, yes. Just a gimmick. I mean why? Just pointless. Am I going to get one? Hell yes.

 • in my head.. pro related to higher spec (procie/ram) ..the other for size...

 • Will this phone good for Rogers in Canada ?

 • This is one of the dumbest things I have seen this year.

 • Wow released a few days ago...this is the first time ever seen a Chinese company making a new innovation with secondary screen on the back. Nice smartphone with a MEDIATEK HELIO X30, on par with SNAPDRAGON 820/821 smartphones. But still not sure if the camera is on par though. That price point is cheap though, around 500 euro

 • apple will be claiming this as there innovations, after Steve all phone models out there with real innovations are claimed to be ''apple's'' job by their doomy fans

 • Mediatek MT6799 Helio X30. Great to see this finally introduced. Will have Snapdragon and Samsung shivering in their boots.

 • Unusual secondary display on the back! However, in my opinion that's good+useful (perhaps) INNOVATION and you'll see in near future in iPhone 10/11 To Meizu ! Can you keeping your innovation!? Hopefully

 • put the "Pro" and "Plus" in a phone name is weird sometimes

 • Phone is really awesome, but the price was heavy..

 • The secondary screen from the picture looks exactly like an AOD from S8

 • Wow that additional screen looking good, another Android vendor innovations will be claimed by apple soon

 • No band 4???? Aww I was eager to import this phone!

 • I will love to play with this

 • There is no ois or eis?

 • This e-8nk display looks cool But in a bad placement
