Hi Friends, As my suggestion, don't buy micromax mobiles. Why means not only me, so many people are facing problems with these micromax mobiles. And one more thing servise centre is very worst service. Actually I brought A90S micromax super pixel mobile at mobile store hyderabad in 2014 November as a cost of 10k, with in 11 months software problem and service center replaced with new phone, again now am facing software problem. So, this is best worst experience of micromax mobiles. Kindky once visit micromax service center before purchasing new micromax mobiles.

Sir, first of all your issue is just a software problem which occurs when you do not restart ur phone occassionally,cuz restarting is essential for all Android phones cuz if not restarted regularly it slows down as RAM usage increases giving less available RAM causing lags hence it fails to load some app,as in ur case com.android process is not started.

I am using mmx a90 for past 1 and half year...I face no problem at all. But couple of days back, a90 display got broken. I went to service center. They said display is broken and touch is working fine. But i have to change both as it comes in combo. And the price they told to me is 7500/- which is way to much to get it repaired. Micromax need to improve servicing if they have to have a strong hold in India. Its been 2-3 years now since micromax is launched, now they will face the real problems of servicing. Nokia is back, samsung is improving and there are many other players. I really liked micromax mobiles. But they need to sustain.

hi im rahul i bought micromax a100 from pune but due to some technical fault i have to return it . It was a new phone then i have to switch to another model no. that is a90 but after 1 year it started gibing me problems some time it shows ANDROID.COM IS NOT WORKING , WIFI PROBLEM CALLING PROBLEM , HANGING PROBLEM ,THERE ARE LOTS OF PROBLEMS. Hi, Its been one year now since I started using Micromax A90. Awesome phone for me. Till date I'm connecting to internet from Wi-Fi at my home so never felt the need for the use of GPRS. But now badly in need of GPRS for the internet purpose.. :( I have access point name, proxy evrything set in the mobile(I confirmed from customer care as well). After that I have cleared the browser cache memory as well. Still unable to connect to internet. Can anyone please help me with this issue? Thanks in advance.

This is for all those who face lags and hangs on the a90, first of all its Android you cannot expect smooth long lasting performance from Android unless you restart occasionally, all droiders Shud know that, so I have a better idea that will make you phone run smooth as butter on everyday usage. Go to Settings>scroll down to schedule power on /off>select a time when you don't use your phone like when you are sleeping for eg. Power on:4:34am, power off:4:30am make sure that the power on and off boxes are checked(tick mark, by clicking on the small squares) This make a full restart of your Android and will ensure a smooth performance in everyday usage. Also I have this mobile since over a year and 2months did not face a single hardware or software issue. I have no regrets, except when it comes to hardcore gaming leaving that this phone is the best for everyday usage in terms of price bracket and having the best quality of display in its budget segment. Micromax A90 has very poor battery life.A dual sim phone like this require a minimum of 2000mAH battery. 512 MB RAM is very low for internet browsing and gaming and so this phone hangs a lot. As internet itself is expanding,atleast 2GB RAM is reqiured in android OS for smooth browsing. Also camera quality of this phone in dim light even with flash is very poor. I very well know this phone has been released 14 months back,but inorder for better functional and user friendly phones in future may this serve as a guideline.

well. Google replaced GTalk with Hangout. So, you will not find Gtalk anymore. If you have phone that was packed with Gtalk, it will be replaced with Hangout upon update from Google Play. However, you can roll back the update and then never choose to update to Hangout by altering the Play Store setting to manual update. I like the simple Gtalk, hence rolled back to it. Similarly, Google has merged Navigation with Maps. IMO, it's a bad move!

My system micromax a90 giving me lot of problem,mainly hang up. Two times I have approached the authorized service center and updated the software.The problem still exist. A red rectangle is appearing at the boarder of the screen why?Why I am not able to operate the Navigation.After opening typing of destination the app is getting closed.The service center insisting me to leave the mobile for two weeks to investigation and repair works, in fact I have to be there without phone or I have purchase another,Is it possible? why don't you give a base phone to fill the gap till repair work is over at least in warranty period.Please look into this matter.Most of the company give chances to upgrade the system why micromax not thinking that way. with regards nandakumaran K [email protected]

Hi to all! I just noticed that this post claims a date on which I too visited the center to check if I could get an upgrade to Jellybean. I am primarily a Blackberry fan and my regular phone is a BB Torch 2. The A 90 is for all other uses! From the way the story is told the writer seems to be having some personal problems with Micromax or seems to be paid to write these kind of reviews. I can list 23 people I know who had given me a reference before I bought my A90. None of us have any problems at all! Personally, I like the Samsung S4 but it is 3 times more expensive! As a value for money phone, Micromax A90, Karbonn, Xolo, Wicked Leak Wammy are all very good value for money. If one is looking for Sony or BB quality then God help!

Over priced device. The processor that it use is 4 year old. Even it has a micin ram. That's from a china brand. Even the screen is china brand. If you don't know the processor is 800mhz OVERCLOCKED to 1ghz.this is why its gets over heated, rebooot frequently and charging takes way long. Don't buy this phone. If you want a uber phone gets Lumia 620 or even Lumia 520. If you want android go for htc one v or htc desire. You can even buy canvas hd its better than this

Hi guys, Today I visited the same charai service center to complain the problem. i was in mood to fight. I reached the center at 11.30 am, parked my bike and moved ahead. As I opened the door a lot of shouting and chaos was there(which was not audible outside), I was surprised what's going on there!!! A person was scolding the service center guys badly. I left the door opened so that road siders can also enjoy....:) :) soon I understood the matter. That guy was having some problem in his phone and was told to replace his motherboard, he waited for 3 months for this replacement but nothing happened. There were extremly heated arguements between service center and that guy. Suddenly one lady at service center told him to wait for half an hour, and assured him that his mobile will be shortly repaired. This assurance made that man cool down. He was sitting in front of me and was looking very calm. I was waiting for my turn, after 15 minutes i saw two policemen entering the service center. I thought they too are the victim of Micromax devices. When they came inside one guy of the service center shouted in marathi--'tey iss ahe, tikde basla ahe, chasma wala' (The guy is sitting there, wearing spectacles). The guy was really shocked (even others too). We couldn't figure out why police is here. The policeman asked that guy why did he abuse that lady. we all were surprised as he had not abused anybody. The service center falsely accused that guy. The guy was a bit nervous, he calmly explained his suffering and all the matter to the police. I and other people also agreed with him and explained our similar suffering. There were 6 more people(total were 8 customers) facing the same problem . Now situation took U turn. Police had understood the situation and asked for the Manager. A guy wearing atleast 15 rings in 10 fingures, 7-8 bracelets appeared claiming as the manager. When Police asked him to follow to police station as Police took cross complaint from all of us, the 'Manager' immediately refused to be the manager. Police warned all the service center employees for their drama and false complaints and asked to deal with the customers for their problems. When the police gone, that self claimed manager said the service center is not going to take any Micromax device and they are now no longer the Micromax service center. He said they will repair only those mobiles which are registered in their system and will just close the existing requests. They returned all the micromax customers. They said they will not work with Micromax and the other Micromax service center of the city have also applied for the cancellation of agreement with Micromax. So guys this is the Micromax!!!

I visited the same service center(Charai, Thane on 9th March) where they told me that motherboard needs replacement and I will have to submit the phone for 20 days. Today(6th April), after approx 1 month when I didn't get any message from service center, I contacted Delhi customer care to know the status of my case(local service center either does not pick the phone or simply iterate "You will get message when your request is resolved"), the Delhi cust-care guy informed that my service request was already resolved and I can collect it(Though the Thane service center didn't bother to inform me). After spending so much time still my phone's motherboard has not been replaced and it's having the same problem, service center has again merely flashed the OS. Guys, it's really a crap so think twice before buying.

I am using this phone phone since Oct12. The phone had the occasional problem of rebooting right from start. Also the volume in recorded videos is very low and the phone lock does not work sometimes till u restart the mobile. Since the last month it has started to switch off automatically both during use & standby mode. I am yet to visit the support center (only 2 places in mumbai for Micromax Smart phones - Andh W & Dadar W). Lets see what they have to say about the problem. My friend too uses this phone and though he too had the issue of rebooting & the lock button not working , Luckily for the him he does not have the automatic shutdown problem.

I got this by November 1 2012 for my birthday, after a very long search i got it for 12650 in Chennai. its very got to use. I had one problem while i got it (i.e.) stereo not working i hear it in mono only, but after little confuse i gave it to service center after one month, the service person understood my problem and rectified it in one day, now my phone is working fine with nice bass boost function, its super to hear in micromax headset only not even in sony headphone. I give 90% satisfied for this phone. As gps works in outdoor only and it takes long time to lock with location. About the camera it super, even the front camera result is good in skype. guru, your problem must be with the APN settings which is present in wireless settings. if you are using airtel then write "gprs.com" in the APN field which is present in "wireless and network/ mobile network/ access point names/ APNs".

Hi I purchased Micromax A 90 on 4th Oct 12, unfortunately I lost the charger within couple of days. I have tried all over to pirchase a new charger but till date no where is it avlble. I fail to understand what is the fun of buying such excellent set if accessories ate not avlble. Secondly will company be responsible if we ise some other charger & impacts mobile set. Experiencing A 90 - Pixel for the past 90 days, its an amazing handset. Only thing to remember always when the battery is below 20%, never use the phone because of high radiation. "A budget phone with packed up features." Resolution of both the primary and secondary camera are fabulous. Internet is speedy, try using 3g Connectivity. No Buffering.

I am using this Micromax A90 since 10 sept 2012.... all is absolutely fine with this phone , but very short battery life as it takes a lot time to charge and battery discharges very fast .If I start my phone by 10 am in the morning with 100 % battery on board , then it discharges to 10% by 5 pm in the evening with a very normal use of phone for calls and sms and nothing else. Also since last few days I am facing a problem of the screen as it is sometimes showing several lines at the bottom of the screen and thats too disturbing. My suggetion.... though the cost is very moderate Rs 13,000/- .... the durability of the phone is a big question mark.

hi i had the same problems - low ear piece volume, low video recording volume etc. had gone to the service center. they replaced the ear piece and it worked fine as some pieces had defective ear pieces. as per the service center one big and silly problem is that some pieces did not have a hole drilled at the back panel where the mic is placed on the mother board. they just changed the panel and video recording sound is normal now. the quality control guy was not feeling well i guess : ) or there is no quality control department at all : )

I bought this phone a few days back. Good screen and colors. Camera is good in day light and Average in low light conditions. Built quality is good. Slim and sleek phone. Touch response is good. GPS settings need some tweaking. Battery performance is above average. Needs tweaking with Auto sync, screen brightness, data controls etc for saving battery. Plays downloaded 720p hd videos from youtube smoothly. Sound quality is good for indoors and low for outdoors. Voice clarity is good without distortion but a bit low outdoors. Installed third party app to boost volume of ear piece to use in noisy places. Not a big issue for me. 500 mb for apps, 2gb internal memory for music and videos. RAM 484 mb with 100 to 150mb free depending on your usage. This phone is true value for money. I am happy that i dropped the idea of buying the samsung galaxy s duos.

it has an exciting 720p video capture and continuos auto focus.. its quality is awsome!! and another thing owners of a90 having problem with gps lock download gps status and gps test both have an option of a-gps to clear cache..after clearing the cache , gps locks location in less than 3secs.. enjoy!!

The pinch to zoom function is not working properly. while zooming in and out it loads links available on webpage. Tried this on myntra.com when you zoom in or out on the list of articles it wrongly loads the link below your fingers even when you have not selected it. The camera is below average. If you zoom in on taken pictures they will loose pixels. There is lot of noise in the images. Not worth 13k.

As I said I had to keep to volume to full to listen to the other person who was talking...audio quality was fine...there was no noise atleast..but was very low...I am upset because even such a basic feature was not tested by Micromax and niether the earlier buyers never noticed it after recording videos

I read this about the low audio output from recorded videos in many posts on both flipkart and gsmarena.....hence tried it with my phone too.....recorded a video and when I played it back had to keep my ear near the speaker.....So this is a bug with the product and not my piece alone.....Flipkart can replace it within 30 days....I still have 20 days left.....will try to test few more functionalities....and check.....These Micromax guys haven't tested even such a basic feature of this phone......I am looking for an alternate app which i can use for video recording.

MICROMAX A90 Review I am using this phone from last one week which I bought it from Flipkart and I observed the following two issues: 1) very low audio capture while recording video/audio. After recording the video when I play it back it gives nearly zero audio output. 2) Unacceptably low in call volume. Have to always keep the volume to max levels to listen to the caller.

For 2G In Tata Docomo - u will get speed of DN - 122kbps stable as per speedtest.net...In short surfing is very good..while in 3g it is fluctuating between 4 to 5 Mbps.... Have used idea 3g in that it is stable between 5.5 to 6.5 Mbps... Speed reviews based on mobile speedtest.net

The phone is not bad, only biggest issue for me is that talkatone and magic jack both don't work well on this phone. With Magic jack I have to use my headphones only then I can hear anything not from the phone earpiece not even the speakers. Talkatone works ok but then starts throwing an error saying the device does not have a mic? On the other hand the huawei honor works just great with these two apps, confirming that it is an issue with a90 and not the apps. I am going to see if there is a fix, which I doubt but does not hurt to try. I may try rooting the phone as well.

hey guys.. this is just to help all fellows confused about A 90..wether to go for or not. i m using this phone since a month...and i must tell you at least 10 people have ask me which phone is this..:) looks great..display awesome.(dont bother abt 256k or whatever it is.) super amoled is the best.. functionality smooth to respond..may be half second lag in opening heavy..but it dont shows in swiping screen or routine processing.. light weight..slim too.and and the most loved part is camera..i cann't just explain you..in 13000 if i m geting this much clear n fast to respond camera then i m really lucky to have it in my hand. cons are some very high HD games may not run..some shows bad touch respons like temple run.. built is not that much tough.. otherwise everything is great..dont wait much just get it..:)

hey........finally i got A90 from Poorvika in chennai. very limited stock arrives and i got one of them. i really loved this mobile...good display and camera quality. dont waste money for going 25k or 30k. Go for A90 - worth for our money. Cons: sound is not what i expected even when playing music, speaker is very poor, but when earing in earphone, its decent.

Hey guys..! I dont know what some ppl have against mmx..! To be frank,I was also quite apprehensive about shelling out 13k for a mmx mobile! But believe me,3 months after using this mobile I can say it was my best decision ever. By far the best screen quality in this price range and it is as smooth as you would expect from a good phone. HD games work without lag,good camera quality! Nocalls dropped,Internet speed is good..! I was using Xperia Neo before and due to an accident I lost it,so I know what a good phone is like. SO guys believe me,if you want to go for a decent phone in 13k bracket,go for it! Dont buy duos or tipo..I have handled both of them and I would nvr swap my phone for any of those..! If you have ever used a Galasy S2,you will see the sheer resemblence between the two phones,not just looks-wise but performance wise too...! Go for it...! You won't regret it..! And about the price differnce,I will give you guys an anlogy:INTEL and AMD chipsets! Both give the same performance and are equally good,but you will have to shell out around 8k more for an Intel chip with the same performance.Brandname!Thats what they charge you for,and the advertisements.

hey bro don't entrap in juicy specs.... This mobile has totally dump quality it's just crap I tell you reson I bought this made in China crap phone just one month ago. 1 totally plastic cheap look rear plastic cover sound like cracking 2 display has fault when in standby auto lock its shows white fades.... dhabba like 3 totally pour sound quality in earphones as well as in speaker even in senhhisser headphones so after this no consideration for quality. 4 one of weakst service assistance or after sales service totally weird people runs their service center 5 its hang a lot n sometimes became so warm so it has hardware problem too 6 camera just shit over bullshit totally bakwas quality in photos noticed noise in daylight so not options in night even that capture hd video in 3gp quality again big mazzzak. N I so disappointed after using it has lots of faults n when I went to service center they didn't accept that faults with unacceptable arguments like parts not available n this is not actually fault n all that for display they told these kind of fades n dhabba its common in AMOLED display. what a made fool to people so after bothered for 15 day I just sold out to mobile to mobile shop for half price n bought new Samsung galaxy s advance i9070. yaa its quite expensive as compared to A90 but now I feel totally worthy for my each ruppie its just fantastic so great build quality. no sounds on back cover at all. Now I understand why samsung takes extra 8000. For total consumer satisfaction. so plzzzzzzzz don't go with made in China GIONEE GN 868 duplicate or assembled or something. Go with wise choice.

Just as the tag line says �Nothing Like Anything�, unlike any other mobile I used so far, have been facing so many problems with this mobile, every time I hold this mobile I feel like throwing it away. I wonder if Micromax does quality check before releasing a product into market, faced following issues with this mobile � 1. Very frequent refreshing while messaging - which is in turn resulting in huge delay while chatting. 2. Mobile is hanging while using Internet � pathetic internet experience. 3. Not able to play games - no point in calling it a smart phone. 4. Not able to download apps, even if downloaded after Hercules challenges not able to use any App - no point in calling it a smart phone. 5. Not user friendly - taking ages to find out easy way of usage. 6. We have to switch-off and on, each time we use Internet � got to close all the open apps. 7. Not able to open attached images from mails �no point in configuring mail box with this mobile. 8. Long time to charge and consumed in no time- tragic battery life. 9. Not able to forward messages - fed up typing the same message again and again. 10. Not able to write message and then add contacts - already typed message will be erased. 11. Lock button is not functioning properly - only way to switch on the mobile. 12. Not audible when we are outside � surprised that a mobile in 2012 doesn�t have noise reduction facility. 13. Calls can only be heard in left ear � very surprising, but this is the reality. 14. Voice imbalance in the headset also - could not feel the music as it has to be felt. 15. I've been using this mobile for last 3 weeks, still no issues, nice touch,rom(for apps) is approx.500MB, 2gb( for data storage) user available, 512MB ram,for heavy users,battery backup is for one day... gud enough. Everything's working smoothly. Camera is just OK.(dont go after it just for camera).Flash's good. and for gamers...512MB ram would not be enough. I'm loving it. ^_^

MT6575 chipset is an old story now. Micromax should bring in phones with MT6577 (Dual-Core) (reference "BLU Vivo 4.3") and MT6588 (Quad-Core) chipset with their own additions like Aisha, etc. Camera and sound quality needs to be improved. I can smoothly play hd games like virtues tennis n fifa n asphalt for hours. stock music player is ridiculously hopeless for music lovers. so i am been on winamp pro its easier n faster with superb sound quality far better than power amp. camera quality also superb yaa who will give auto focus 8mp camera in 12500 again it's capture stunning photos in daylight. noise is significant in lower light but who cares in nights. hi...pls stop bitching about low end features and product copy...its a great phone in its price range of 12500 INR.its single core and yes, mmx will soon launch a dual core A90 and A100. Video call works fine with apps,but not supported over sim(anyways it sucks).If you're looking for a low cost phone which looks and perform decently, then this is the phone 4 u..otherwise stop bitching and go buy iphone or S3..i bought it because i loved its AMOLED screen and it look almostly like S2(yes,i'm a big fan of S2)..

They gave me DOA letter for replacement from my local store. but due to the unavailable stock from few days, storekeeper gave me cash back. Now pls give me your valuable review about battery performance, who used this phone. anyone have faced this kind of battery problem?? pls suggest me...should i wait for micromax A90(is it worth to buy?) or go for HTC One V??

actually u cansee videos on website like youtube and others... but on other website, there are advertisement in flash format...that u can not see...that flash is not supported...and thats not only on micromax A90...but its on all phones which have android 4.03 ICS...adobe on its website it said...we are in developing flash player for android 4.0 ICS....so dont worry it will soon come to market for free of price...nothing to worry about for that... but issue is that which i have described below your comment about battery...all other battery issue, it has really awesome feature...really...

but in a90 u have chipset which is not there in a100.also it has a super amoled screen nd its ppi is 217 which is much better than a100.you can compare both mobiles and see the diferrence yourself.it has a 8 megapixel camera which shoots HD video n it also plays Hd video but in a100 u only have a 5 megapixel cam whch not even shoot HD video......!!

Hi Guys, I am using Micromax a100, its been 20 days now no problem at all. 1.Battery is good its 2000mhz(all Android phones works the same, SamsungS3 battery is 2100 mhz ) 2.Touch is not that good as the high end mobiles has ( S2, Experia, galaxy phones ) 3.Plays allApps , it also plays the Live Tv (35 channels) . Especially when the camera is turned on . I am looking for Micromax A90 as wanted to see how the SuperAmoled Screen will look , i will compare with my A100. If i dont find any diff i am happy with A100. A100 Price- 9500 A90 Price- 12000 Only diff is the screen (SuperAmoled Screen is what they have promised ) IN HYD its still not available . Bought this phone 4 days ago. its neat and nice device by Microsoft uptill now. I was using Optimus 2x. ICS 4.0.3 works smooth. 8MP camera works nice in sunlight but not good in poor lighting condition. Both the SIM cards works awesome. Battery life is far better than Optimus2x. With 1 hour of data connection, one hour of wifi, 30 mins of music its 22hrs and still 47% remaining. Amoled screen, really vivid colours. and I liked default wallpapers chosen by MM. Music quality is good buy 2X is best may be 2X headphones are good. Need to cehck with that. Have not tested GPS yet. NO default video player provided by MM. But there are many players available on play store and MTK chipset played most of the file formats. In 13000 what else you want?

as i use my lappy with my nokia C7 via Nokia suit(formerly k/a ovi suit),it shows during connection 460 kbps....bt during downloading i observed its abt 200-390kbps in my phones connection manager...n its actual count bcoz i got abt 100mb file within 2-3min...even once in my phones browser during downloading i got 800kbps to 1.2mbps n i downloaded abt 10 movies with in 40min bt that movies are not in high quality....over all im satisfied with it...bt how can i use A90 with my pc as a modem....plz guys gv ur opinions.....thanx in advance...

Got my MicroMax A90 yesterday. It sure looks like the phone has 4GB of internal memory. But it seems to be broken down as follows, its partitioned as Internal Storage ~512 MB, Phone Storage ~2 GB, OS probably takes the remaining space, guess ~1.4GB. So I guess there is ample space but just that the stock partition setup may not be too friendly & needs monitoring app installations & its location. Though it can be changed with some searching, it may be a sore chore for a newbie muddling through deep settings menu options. This should have been taken care of by micromax atleast . Its a nice phone as such especially because of the display & the amount of power it saves. I changed the background, themes & almost every thing to black & thin non-blue lines. I'll explain the tech reasons for this later in the review. But camera really sucks at any sort of artificial lighting even when its well lit(I mean good lighting from a photographers POV). Pictures in good sunlight look ok. Now coming to the meaty part, the display which is what makes this phone attractive. AMOLED screens are not like LCDs(which have constant power consumption regardless of what color or content they are displaying). From what I've understood so far, AMOLED's power consumption, on the other hand, depends on what color or content is being displayed. These are organic LEDs which are turned on & off individually(No backlight here like LCDs). So a black screen/background & clean green/red/combo lines are good for conserving power. The green/red part comes from the way the pixel matrix of AMOLED is laid out to increase its life, because AMOLEDs for all their advantages have a poor life(especially blue plixels which have even lower life than red & green), especially the blue. This is the reason for the PenTile display on the Galaxy S III & the like. So far, I've managed to squeeze out 2 days with occasional Wifi/3G, GPS usage. It takes some micromanaging & turning stuff off & keeping it in low brightness or auto but still I managed to get 2 days, which is pretty good for a smart phone today, especially a dual sim one. Another thing to note is one is the SIMs remained switched off when 3G is not being used. It may sound very nerdy/geeky but the reward of going to such detail in information & (micro)managing is the 2 days standby reward. So let me try more of the A90 & post about any further progress. Do provide feedback about any mistakes I've made about facts or my understanding anywhere above & I'll correct as & where necessary.

i guess u should know that in A90, u get 720p HD Video capture.. whereas in A100.. it is 640x480 video capture only... in A90, GPU is PowerVR SGX531 wich is much much better than Adreno 200 found in A100.. nd mind me.. avg ppl dont use more than 2 fingers on the phone so multitouch is fine.. bigger screen phones dont fit in the pocket nicely unless u carry it in your purse and for your rest of the cons.. plz ccmpare their benchmark and nenamark 2 scores :D

its a job well done by micromax.. The high price is due to the super AMOLED display which they bought,probably from samsung. The processor core i.m not sure if its single or double. Micromax has also promised jelly bean update for this phone soon. It has stock android without customisations which will decrease load on processor.

never buy mmx product....presently i am using micromax A70 for 11months and it is already damaged..touch screen and touch buttons are damaged,bluetooth is not working after 15days of buy...mmx mobile service centers are worthless they take 1-3months to repair mobiles and in many cases they fail...so be aware of mmx products...initially they look good but after 6months u will understand how 3rd class dis mmx products are..so strictly NO for MICROMAX MOBILES....
