I use this phone till now, amazing. the battery can stand 3 days for normal using. the camera and also mp3 player are awesome although its 2 mega pixel. But, all the keypads come out. I type all the keypads... use it since 2007 and it is fine. over all, I am satisfied with this phone *hug LG KG300*. not only LG KG300, now, I use Galaxy Gio and Curve 8330. Love them all

I ve tried some 20 phones already that includes Samsung, Nokia, Sony, other LG, Karbonn, and my latest addition note 2.. the headphone + sound clarity was the best(LG Dynamite was its name).. no other phones were this good.. I bought my KG300 in 2007 and it still works well up to today. I love its camera, I captured most of my photos during 2007-2009 with it, before I bought a "real" kodak camera in 2010. I love this simple cellphone but the world is changing, it's about time I buy a new one, the android thingy. Thanks LG, I do love the ride with KG300.

ani is wrong, in lg kg 300, java support, can install java files but you should make jad file of jar files, then you can install java, also suggestion for "ani" that you should go to lg service center and tell them you are not enable to install java then they will help you to reinstall your software and after that you can install any java games or application. thanks

You guys know lg kg300 its just a waste of money. on specification of this cell phone its given as it suports java. but in real it does't support a single java apps or games. the company lg is just betraying us by saying it suports java. now i won't prefer lg cell phones.

Best phone, I ever had.. 5 years, still works like a charm.. Crispy display.. The only problem is its headphone, works exactly 7 months(6months is the warranty) Cant get duplicate headset.. original headphone clarity is so good. After getting this, used nokia n70M, samsung e250, sony elm, few lg models.. uncomparable, best among all.. ^.^

Hi, I am using this handset since 2007, the only problem which i am facing with this handset is it's compatibility with java applications. I downloaded opera mini, snaptu and mig 33 java applications but nothing seems to be working properly, in fact snaptu is not at all responding. I opened opera mini several times but it works very slow, once i started the app opera mini and made a cup of tea, i drank my cup of tea but opera mini was still not able to open web page.

I used this mobile for 3 years. The d-pad and keys close to it are now held only by a sticky tape and the menu and call keys no longer funtion properly. This mobile gave me many pains because of its slow user interface and long responce time, small battery life, near useless camera esp indoors and its inability to use the java-apps that intended for 240x320 display because of its slow speed. Its time to thro it in the bin and get another one.

I've been using it for more than two and half years and it fulfills my requirements. When i bought it, no other company was offering so many cool features bundled in a mobile like this one. I bought box packed in PKR.7600 when nokia was offering VGA camera, no memory card slot and no bluetooth in this price. Real quality phone and durable as well. It has its genuine stero headphone and data cable as well. In those days one could not imagine such things with a nokia.

lg kg300 mobile is really good.it is the best one i've used upto now.i am using this from 3 years without any problem.message inbox memory is an area of concern.the data being recieved via bluetooth is being stored in phone memory.it is a concern when data with a memory greater than 56 mb is being recieved.the mobile is a bit slow when images are being watched in image viewer.

The LG KG300 is a complete waste of money. Too much pure quality functionality, too much slow. Almost zero resale value. I baught at Rs.7500/- at resale it has only Rs.500-Rs.1500 value in just 12 months. This is similar to the China made 3rd grade quality phone.

No Shahzad bhai... there is no such option in LG KG300. It has a limited sms memory which is of about 75-80 messages.. This is a real draw back for this phone.

I've been using this phone since 2007, and have explored each and every function of it. The looks are attractive, but other wise the features are too low. extremely slow phone. Camera quality is very poor(indoors) while its fine outside in daylight. GPRS is very slow. The browser is very slow too. it takes a lot of time to scroll thru the page. JAVA support is extremely limited, and the memory alloted to the processing unit is very low reultng in extremely slow games, softwares, etc. (mig33 takes 30 seconds to load!!) MP3 player is good. The speaker sound is Superb. much better than the sonyericsson walkman phones !! Display is great ! But offers no themes ! Boring ! is not very user friendly. u cannot mark items and send via bluetooth. Limited SMS memory. Bluetooth searching and powering on/off is slow. And if you are viewing images in the album and u press "back" the list starts over again from the beginning and you have to scroll to the pic you were viewing, which is a painfully slow process !!!! i bought this phone for 8000Rs. Pakistani. Still have it, and it's still working ! Not good for a fas paced person looking for satisfacton ! but will do for kids and people who just want some fun ! :)

I am using this phone from Dec 2007...phone is superb..!! its comparitevely cheaper; its MP3 musics sounds well...but the pics taken(even though 2MP camera)inisde the room(Night)is not better than 1.3 MP cameras.;when taken outside in d sunlight its OK... other problems are dat its very difficult to get the additional softwares for this phon and maintenance cost is high (eg:only 2 chng keepad it is Rs.425/-) if u care ur phone well its well n gud phon;u can take internet 2 connect 2 PC,only .3gp video files wrks in this nnn bit slow when overloaded.. LG KG300 for internet is very low. sistem for GPRS is very difficult to activation.

Invalid file error can be due to waterwall or some other security system in your computer which doesn't allow data transfer to other systems (your phone in this case). If you want to verify--> try data trasnsfer from other computer. Also waterwall can only be overcome by data transfer through Bluetooth (if your computer does not have bluetooth, use a Blue Soleil USB Dongle)

HI, I have read the review and found veryuseful. The review is very much comparable to mine opinion about LG KG 300. I am very comfortable with it. But yesterday I tried to transfer some files from Motorolla V3 through bluetooth, my phone hangged. And since then it hangs whenever I reboot or restart it. The screen blackouts and phone tries to restart by itself. It seems that its 'On' key is pushed permanently. Can you help me? Is this a button problem or a software corruption? Hi Friends, This Phone has both good and bad qualities I am using this phone from since it was released (Dec'2006). I found one problem that its vibration mode is not working sometimes. Its battery life is poor. Eventhough there is 1 point of battery, the phone is turning of automatically after you receive any incomming call. It is having codecs problem while playing an MP3 file. it plays only some mp3 files that are decoded according to this phones spec.

I've come across a unique problem in the set just after 1 year of purchase. Its USB storage has some problem because when I download something from my computer it appears that its downloaded but actually it is not because that video or mp3 doesnt work and shows a message that "this video file not valid". I have been using my KG300 for ~20months now and I have started seeing the regular LG problem in this too: The phone enters Headset mode anytime automatically and comes out of it when it wishes so! My phone has not come out of headset mode for past 3 days, and now I am roaming around with headphones all the time :-(I guess all LG phones have this problem after a long usage but mine has not finished even 2 yrs. So, doesn't matter which category of LG phone you have (cdma/gsm, inexpensive/expensive), you end up with this problem, besides all other LG phone problems (I mean heating).By the way, I have been very careful in handling my phone and do not abuse it (No falling down, throwing away business for me..). And now not getting through their service centre numbers. Let me keep trying.. :-(

I would like to tell u to plz dont buy this phone its just has got looks nothing else for example u cannot install themes,animated wallpapers,screensavers above 100kb not allowed,camera quality good in daylight but very poor in night and under lights,sound quality is good but u have to increase it by going in engineering mode,after 1 year it will start giving problems mine is started restarting and LG service station just upgrades the software but of no use then they will say now it has circuit problem spend a big amount which is not possible, the price too is also very big for new phone Rs6600 u get far better phones in this price with more features i purchased at 7500 now crying, its not got even a resale value in india the max i get now is just 1800/20009(that too in exchange of new phone), sometimes it is not able to catch network too at some inner places,battery is medium not too low not too high,just 5 ringtones u can keep as mp3,message tones avl are just 5 that too inbuilt u cannot dwnload,ringtones customizaton is only for group not individuals,bluetooth also dont work if u have more then 10 paired devices u will have to delete all the paired devices then it will accept file transfer from other phone, so my reveiw is that i made a mistake by buying this phone now its your decision to buy or not after considering this reveiw. Hope this will be useful to u all looking for new phone.

I have recently Purchased KG300.When we take the photos they are normal in case of Daytime ,but during evening or in Tubelight the photos taken are worser than VGA camare. one of the draw back of kg 300 its outbox for messege does not show timing when we send message. i mean message date and time. the service center person eulogize about nokia phones. service provided is very bad not satisfied by their service at mulund. i think the person employed are unexperienced or need more knowledge.

Hi. I have been using LG KG300 for one year. It is very nice and good looking. Yes there are some limitations in it but overall its a very good phone. I want to discuss its advantages and disadvantages: Advantages: very low price, superb LCD with no camparison, large LCD size, very fine sound, excellent for music no noise, camera is superb and it is certainly better than all nokia and sonyericson phones of 2mega pixel. you can enjoy MP4, 3GP movies, extenble memory, scratch free body and screen. Disadvantages: its not a good set for gammers. you can't enjoy playing games. low sms storage capacity, sometimes little bit slow down, no themes, poor internet surfing capabilities Overall it is an excellent phone for listening music and photography and enjoying movies.

I have been using LG KG300 for about last 8 months. I have noted following drawbacks: 1. You cannot add words (like names etc.) to its T9 dictionary. 2. a phone number from its call register cannot be stored to already existing contacts, you have to create a new contact. These above mentioned problems are quite strange, as we don't find these even in most ordinary handsets. For GPRS, I have tried, its is pretty OK. It works fine with my computer as well. The only limitation comes when downloading, it cannot download files biggger than 350KB. With PC, no downloading problems at all. You cannot install JAVA applications like miniOpera. Overall It is good multimedia phone, 2MP camera. It plays MP4, 3GP, MP3, wave, amr files. I hope above information will be useful for some of you. Thanks

its all rubbish that lg kg300 needs modem drivers to connect with pc. it do not need anything. just switch off your mob and connect it with pc using usb cord which comes with the phone. and it displays two options on the screen one for phone memory and other for memory card . chose open files and it will display the data.

LGKG 300 is a good phone but there is a bug in LG KG 300. My mobile switched off when i tried to receive file through blue tooth. after some research i found that My device(exists in Blue tooth) is full. I deleted one device name and it is fine now. If My device is full then it will not accept any file from any new device.

someone asked is it advisable to purchage this phone .... well 1.6 year ago when launched it had cost benefit.... Today many low cost phone like nokia 3500(5000rs) nokia 6300(7500) N72(7800) etc as well as sony and moto phones are coming with same price range (6k-8k). These phones offer - -Better sound -Better Battary backup -Speedy java wich can load high memory games and application (KG300 cant) -and a better resale value. If i have to choose i would have given more weightage to these factors than to a price difference of just 1000-1500.

@Abhi In tone setup go to the incoming call and then the ringtone you want to remove or replace go to its options then then select Dissociate to remove it or replace for replacing the ringtone with another one.

Lg KG300 set is Best But it has some problems .You can not Forward or Fast Forward audio Songs .Videos direct play in Full screen.You can not play Video in Normal mode. .You can not change the theme. .Battery time in stand by mode is 48 or 50 hours if you listen FM regular then battery time is 8 or 10 hours and if you play videos or others activites then battery time is 3 hours normally. .camera result is normal. .its image viewer Media is not so good it has very slow speed when you open a picture If you have any problem with your LG KG300 then contact with me.I try to solve your problem. regarding ur query at gsmarena about KG300 for zooming image. Note that In Kg300 zooming is possible through "Multimedia/image viewer Software". This s/w opens images stored @ photos folder in phone/card memory. Directly opening an image file directly(via my stuff browsing) will not allow zooming.. not even full screen view. So to view an image in zoom mode keep images into photos directory and use image viewer. If you want a separate directory... Then other way round is - use mobyExplore or other java software to rename directories... The photos directory to some other name and your directory to photos.

Arun, you can record uy call conversation. during in call go for OPTIONS, in it u can find voicerecord option, through this u can record ur call conversations (no limit).

regarding phone call recording make/receive the call. once connection has established you will see options written in the lower left part of screen. now press the option button ( the one above the green button through which you receive the call). press it . A menu will be displayed. The 6th item is Voice recorder. select it. You can directly reach to that option by pressing option button followed by 6.

The LG300 and LG200 are very similar. So the stuff below applies to the LG300 too. It is totally possible to: 1. Connect to PC to edit/store/backup phone book. 2. Create the standard LG folders (audio, my music, video, mss, received, etc.) in the phone memory card (60mb) and extra SD card (1 gig). 3. Copy media stored on the phone memory card (60mb)to my computer. 4. Download, transfer, and store Java games to the phone. Overall: This phone has fantastic features. But the user manual sucks. So you have to spend time doing research on how to get it to do the above items I mentioned. I tried to give the quick and dirty for each. Hope this helps. I just love this phone now. Of course, its not perfect but its pretty close.

Lg KG300 set is Best But it has some problems .You can not Forward or Fast Forward audio Songs .Videos direct play in Full screen.You can not play Video in Normal mode. .You can not change the theme. .Battery time in stand by mode is 48 or 50 hours if you listen FM regular then battery time is 8 or 10 hours and if you play videos or others activites then battery time is 3 hours normally. .camera result is normal. .its image viewer Media is not so good it has very slow speed when you open a picture If you have any problem with your LG KG300 then contact with me.I try to solve your problem. When I have purchased this phone I thought it will be a good one but in few days I realise that it is one of the worst. Its display is brillient other features are also up to the mark but phone is extremly unreliable. Specially while using blue tooth, its software get crupted. It happend with me a number of time. This phone take hell out of me. Whenever I went to LG service center for repairing I have seen a huge number of people with the same problem, not with only KG300 but with other LG phone models too. Jam packed LG service center clearly means that phones from LG are extremly unreliable. Its software is also not User Friendly. Another big handy cap is you cannot customize MSG tone.

for those who want to connect kg300 with pc. 1. go to LG site and search for software for KG300. you will get PC Sync , Modem driver , USB driver. Install usb driver for mass storage mode. (for winXP user this may not be required) . this will make your phone behave like a Pen drive. Connect it thro data cable and see "My Computer" to find new drives created for Phone memory(56MB ) and SD Card. for PC Sync (not supported in win98 or below) - Install PC Sync software and COM Port Driver provided with PC Sync. now connect the phone and select COM port (and not Mass storage). check device manager to see the new COM port created for your phone connection (COM4 or COM5 etc). now start PC Sync and go to setting and select the correct COM Port. alternatively you can try various com port options avialable in PC Sync. For one choice PC Sync will show activity and in 30-40 seconds load your data on PC screen. You can edit contact/save it . No other activity is provided. regards arun india

to tabish regarding connecing phone to PC mass storage mode is to use phone as Pen Drive. if You choose this mode then phone will shut down. If you have a PC having WinXP/Win2000 then A windows will open and ask you to play/browse etc the device. select browse. In case of Win98 you have to install a USB driver. In case of COM Port nothing will happen as such. You have to install the COM Port Driver for it. You will also have to download and install Phonesuite form LG site (Search for Kg300 software). This will allow you - 1. to copy/save your phonebook 2. To Connect to Internet through GPRS ( Depends on GPRS provider)

for installing jar applications in kg 300 u require jad files. u can download the jad file maker from the net. After creating jad file u copy the .jar and .jad file in ur mobile. Thereafter, install the .jad file. ur software is loaded. hope this solves the problem.

IT IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ IT (might be helpful) hi guys.i've been using this phone for last 4 mounts.truly should say that i found just a few problems or better to say disadvantages that comes bellow: 1-the internal processor is weak (for example when you press MENU,it takes 2seconds to load or when you move some data it takes too long) 2-you cannot save your sms on memory card and it only got 2 options as sim & phone that both are low spaced. 3-sms incoming tones are limitted to just 5 low volumed rings that usually is unhearable. 4-the framware says the bluetooth path is changable but it only can get incoming BT in ( phone memory:\recive ) directory. 5-if your LCD suddenly broken you must pay one thered of the phone price to just change it. 6-i have nothing to say right now

Many new Users of KG300 are feeling problem in sound of the set,for Improving sound follow these steps,sound will be improved a lot: Regarding 2945#*# after pressing it you will see "Engineering mode" on the screen Below are the options present 1)Version 2)Network Info 3)Device 4)Audio etc. Select "Audio" option,then u will see following options 1)Set mode 2)Normal mode 3)Loud sp mode 4)Headset mode 5)Ring tone 6)speech enhencement 7)max swing firstly select "set mode" and select "Normal mode" then press "back" button and then go inside "2) normal mode" Inside that u will see 1)FIR 2)Speech 3)Keytone 4)Melody 5)Sound in these options firstly select "FIR" and set it to "FIR 5",this will improve your mobile call receiving quality to great extent next select "Melody" inside this option you will see Volume 0 Volume 1 Volume 2 Volume 3 Volume 4 Volume 5 Volume 6 in this Volume can be increased till 255 but make Volume 6 to "205"and Volume 5 to "185" near about. Dont increase too much sound it will detoriate the quality,do not change any other setting.after doing press right soft key ,you will see option "Update parameters".press ok, and your settings are done,Believe me it will improve the sound qualities to a great extent and your all sound problems will be solved.

Hi I just discovered the great function on this mobile >>> That is Video player and video recorder The player allow U to play movie MP4 (xvid+ LC-AAC) 176x144 at 29.97fps full 2" screen---->very smooth,no glitch,no hang,sound an pic flow wonderfull with no size limit (the longest for me is 1 Hr) this video player as good as nokia N73 and 5300 real player -with plus upto 8x fast forward and seek bar for recording -no limit- the longest 1 Hr Recording use around 25-35% batterry (1 scale) --->2 mitutes for save file with size 84 MB this function better than any Sony Ericcson (Sony SUCK on Video ..U know?) The bad is.. video only support no more than 176x144 for play and record

Man LG KG 300 is a good phone with a brilliant screen ... Its processing speed does not decrease with even a 1 GB SD card ... and its good enuff for music ... the only thing is that it runs only a few applications properly ... and that its application running speed is quite SLOW. The minus things in this phones are Low battery life, bad camera quality, Below average earphones, and slow operation... But this phone is great for watching movies. Step One :-) Connect Your Phone Set to your PC through USB , and Save a (.jar) setup file on your Mobile's Memory . Then Discoonect it from Your PC and Switch the Mobile On. Now go to MyStuff in your Cell and go to the file you just stored in your memory through PC. In the options of that Java Setup File you will Find INSTALL , Click taht and its Installed !!!!!!! TADA !!!!!!!

hi arunendra i wud like to comment on the functioning of operamini.i have tried both the lofi n hifi versions.although this phone supports java midp 2.0 and should ideally be running the hifi version like a charm,sadly this isnt the case.u can see the slow performance whenever u r scrolling.the lofi version howerever is much better in this regard.but from what i have noticed is that both the versions crash after brwsing for a while.the beta 4 however,tho a bit slow,doesnt and is the one that gets the work done. last time i checked the operamini wap site wasnt able to detect my lg kg300 therefore implying that its not officially supported (or checked for its probs by the opera staff).nokia phones usually get detected n that means that they have been tested although their might not be a customised version for evaery phone,but it ensure compatibility.

for gaurav and others : friends regarding software download.. please note that this phone support java so java software and games can run on it. two things to be noted : 1. JVM is very slow so phone not suited for playing high activity java games like racing fighting etc. 2. total space provided for java is 2mb... this meant you can have approx 15 java software ( with avegage size 150 KB) other symbian based software (for nokia phone) will not run on this phone. i have tested/used following java software/game working good 1. Chessmaster ............ Very good but slow compared to nokia 2. OperaMini 3.1 Very good ... dont use operamini beta v4 .. not working 3. MobyExplorer .... excellant... very fast and efficient 4. i have both lg kg300 and nokia 5300.between this two,i prefer more lg kg300.firstly lg gives out music on headphone 10 hours & in speakerphone 4 hours.when i bought it around 11 months ago,it was more.nokia gives out music on headphone 7 hours & in speakerphone 3-30 hours.it is only 3 months old.sound quality in both is superb.in both phone camera is almost same,lg one is slightly better.But biggest problem in the nokia mobile is it's screen,it's fragile.my phone's screen allready cracked twice.so go for lg kg300

@Unknown: Bluetooth Problem: Try what Dynamite2 has said. If that doesn't solve the problem then do this: Goto Bluetooth->My Device-> Options. And select delete all. Now restart your phone. And try connecting again. @Unknown: Bluetooth file Storage: Goto to bluetooth Settings->FTP settings->Shared Folder. Now change it to any folder you want, in card or phone. Regarding your second problem, format your memory card. And one thing, transfer of files from the card to memory or vice versa can take ages. Especially the audio and video files. And sometimes they get corrupted too. Search for "Moby Explorer" from Bermin Software. Its a very efficient file manager and text editor. Its a java application. Using it u can manage the files of the phone easily. And you can transfer multiple files to and from the card or memory easily. File transfer is blazing fast. @Neha: Camera Problem: The only downside of this great phone is the camera image quality. Its very very dull. And the quality is below average. For the best possible images, there should be high lighting. I mean you can get better photos only if its shot in direct sunlight. Inside rooms they appear like black and white. In dark conditions you can increase the brightness by increasing the EV to +4. If you know Photoshop, then the low quality images can be enhanced easily. Just adjust the image levels.

don't forget that KG300 has 240x320 display but KG200 has 128x160 and KG300 has play/pause button (and shot cut to MP3 player) on the top left. better screen, convenient MP3 button, bluetooth that make KG300 more worth than KG200.

Hi all, I boughr KG300 just 10 days befor. It has all the facility of N73. But i faced one problem and unable to get rid of it.I got 1 fax message. I am not able to read that message. I just checked in google how to remove the fax icon. Some one told to remove the Sim to another mobile wait for few minus and then exchange the sim back, so that the fax message will not come any more . I did like that but still the fax icon is displayed in the screen... Pl do give me any solution for this. Pl do try to help me out. Waiting for the positive anser from u all.

Another way of increasing the ringtone volume. Goto to media player. Navigate to setting and set the equalizer to "treble". Now all ringtones will be little louder than before :)

Regarding 2945#*# after pressing it you will see "Engineering mode" on the screen Below are the options present 1)Version 2)Network Info 3)Device 4)Audio etc. Select "Audio" option,then u will see following options 1)Set mode 2)Normal mode 3)Loud sp mode 4)Headset mode 5)Ring tone 6)speech enhencement 7)max swing firstly select "set mode" and select "Normal mode" then press "back" button and then go inside "2) normal mode" Inside that u will see 1)FIR 2)Speech 3)Keytone 4)Melody 5)Sound in these options firstly select "FIR" and set it to "FIR 5",this will improve your mobile call receiving quality to great extent next select "Melody" inside this option you will see Volume 0 Volume 1 Volume 2 Volume 3 Volume 4 Volume 5 Volume 6 in this Volume can be increased till 255 but make Volume 6 to "205"and Volume 5 to "185" near about. Dont increase too much sound it will detoriate the quality,do not change any other setting.after doing press right soft key ,you will see option "Update parameters".press ok, and your settings are done,Believe me it will improve the sound qualities to a great extent and your all sound problems will be solved.

The Fax icon is not much of a problem .... just get your friend's mobile like (nokia 1100) and exchange your sim .... after few minutes ... replace .... then the fax icon will go off .... in message settings ... swith off broadcast message .. and remove fax type messages from the message setting on (all profile)including current profile. :-)

Anu, In kerala it will cost you in between Rs. 7000-7300. And there is no software problem in the phone. Its just a java update, not a problem. ow all phones have this update pre-installed. So no need to worry. And regarding the battery read my previous posts. Battery backup is low, but it will last for 2-3 days if you want to use it as a phone only.

Asif, I think you have bought the phone long ago, I mean some months before. Its because the first models which they released didn't support java applications. But after that they added this feature in the phone. Now all KG300 and KG200 supports java apps. Your problem can be solved very easily. Just take it to an authorised LG centre and ask them to update the software in your phone. LG has released a free software updates for all such phones. After that you can install and play java games easily.

SkEn, Installing java softwares is easy. Simply keep a java application with .jar extension in the phone memory or card. Then navigate to that file using the phones explorer. On the file's options menu you can see an "Install" option. Select it and the application will be installed. After installing the application can be found under the Application menu in "Games and Apps".

I bought this phone last week. And its simply amazing. The display is excellent and very bright. The resolution of 240x320 on a 1.9" screen along with 262k colors makes even the minute details very clear. Watching movies is cool. Overall the plus and minus ones are: Plus points: 1. 262k colors 2. 2 megapixel camera 3. 240x320 resolution. 4. Keypad navigation is easy. 5. Can be used as a mass storage device(pen drive). 6. Video playback is smooth. It supports landscape fullscreen mode, which I wanted. Moreover video can be fast forwarded at 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x speeds. 7. Video caller id. 8. Video screen savers. Wow! this is a new feature which I haven't seen in any phone till now. The way videos appear on the screen when kept idle looks fabulous. 9. Memory card doesn't slow it up even a little bit. 10. Music Player is ok. 11. Capable of recording videos in both 3gp and mp4 format. 12. FM radio with unlimited FM recording. 13. Micro sd card compatible. 14.Service Light. Actually this was a feature in old Samsung and LG phones, but now they have brought it back again. And in this set, the blue light looks classy. 15. Sound quality comparable to a Sony ericsson. It handles the highs well; but the lows are not audible sometimes. 16. Menu navigation is fast. There are more, which you can explore for yourself. Now the cons: 1. No flash. 2. For the pictures to be good, they should be shot in extreme lighting conditions. Looks blurry in low light. But if you know a bit of photoshop, then that won't be a problem. They can be fixed easily. 3. Bluetooth transfer is little bit slow. Version is 1.2 and doesn't have A2DP. Means, you can't use a stereo bluetooth headset. 4. Photo browsing is very very slow. But this is only for very huge images like 1600x1200. for images in the resolution of 800x600, its ok. 5. Mp3 sounds very low. If you want to keep an mp3 as a ringtone, then you have to use some audio editors to increase the volume. 6. Audio Player doesn't support multiple playlists. 7. Camera has no autofocus. But you can't find another one which has got autofocus at this price tag, except K750. 8. Body is not scratch resistant and is extremely smooth and glassy that it got slipped out of my hand many times. 9. Vibrator is not upto the mark. A nokia set shakes wildly in the pocket when a call comes. But this one makes a silent hum, which sometimes creates a tickling situation. 10. Earphone is not good. Sound quality is below average. 11. Memory expandable to 1 GB only. Not enough for me. 12. Audio player doesn't support user equalizers. Only some preset ones are available like bass, rock, jazz, etc.. 13. Battery backup is very low. The big screen eats up the battery quickly. If you fiddle with the multimedia features like watching up movies or playing games, then the battery will drain in 3-4 hours. You can compensate this by reducing the brightness to 2 or 3. But still then it gives only 1.5-2 days standby and 4-5 hours talktime. Seeing all the pros and cons, I still like this phone very much. Because of the very low price tag, Excellent super display and 2 MP camera and sound. I would recommend this phone to everyone.

About LG KG 300, I would just like to say its feature in one word and that is AMAZING. It has all the features which one would like to have in any mobile. I use to be the fan of NOKIA but the problem with them was , all the facilities which i needed i was not able to get in one phone. KG 300 is just mindblowing. It has 2 MP camera that is sufficient to take photo and print on 10X15 cm photo paper.Calrity is amazing. Musicplayer is classic. FM Radio is good. You can even record into amr or wav format from radio which i have not found in NOKIA 6230i Sony K750i. You can lock phone and keypad. Also there is facility through which you can disable phone if its lost. It will only work with you sim. Video call, mp3 ringtone bluetooth is just good as N73. I advise people to try this phone. It is common people's phone who would like to have phone with all facility but would not like to hurt their pocket. JUST GO FOR IT.

"If anybody had any sort of sound problem in his KG300 set he may customise his setting according to him,it is very easy just try. 1)type 2945#*# on the screen,you would see "engineering mode" on screen with many functions listed. 2)go to "audio" option,you would see many options inside it like set mode general loudspeaker headphone firstly set mode "general" by going inside set mode. 3)then clik "general" option 4)you would see "melody" option inside it click on it 5)there are volume levels inside it.click on volume6 and there you will be able to see something like 160 mentioned.this is volume level,this can be increased till 255. 6)but i recommend not to increase it beyong 210,because it may distort the sound quality and may affect the speaker of the phone.If u set somewhere nearabout 204 - 210 ,you will see very good results of sound 7)further there is "FIR" option inside "general" menu,set it to "FIR 5",it will improve the receiving sound quality durind a call to a great extent. 8)after u have made changes press back button u will see a option "update parameters",press ok .and see the difference yourself.if there is further any problem please feel free to mail me at [email protected]"

If anybody had any sort of sound problem in his KG300 set he may customise his setting according to him,it is very easy just try. 1)type 2945#*# on the screen,you would see "engineering mode" on screen with many functions listed. 2)go to "audio" option,you would see many options inside it like set mode general loudspeaker headphone firstly set mode "general" by going inside set mode. 3)then clik "general" option 4)you would see "melody" option inside it click on it 5)there are volume levels inside it.click on volume6 and there you will be able to see something like 160 mentioned.this is volume level,this can be increased till 255. 6)but i recommend not to increase it beyong 210,because it may distort the sound quality and may affect the speaker of the phone.If u set somewhere nearabout 204 - 210 ,you will see very good results of sound 7)further there is "FIR" option inside "general" menu,set it to "FIR 5",it will improve the receiving sound quality durind a call to a great extent. 8)after u have made changes press back button u will see a option "update parameters",press ok .and see the difference yourself.if there is further any problem please feel free to mail me at [email protected]

I have purchased LG KG300 last week for Rs 7,450 .This is amazing mobile,with all multimedia features packed inside it,display is quite good on big LCD screen which is the best feature I like in it,good camera ,good video recording nice sound,USB charging, Battery backup is less but using 50% brightness and average use of applications it works for minimum 2 days,it is java enabled ,512 MB MicroSD card free with it,what else.In my opinion in this cost this is the best mobile available in the market.So do not wait ,go and get ur hand set now and enjoy .

hi,i am using this mobile for last 5 months, It is working great. it is not getting slow when i am using 1 GB memory card.no hangs also. some of the + points are: 1.camera is very good. 2.very good mp3 player. 3.battery life is good for talking,u can use it's battery upto 4 hours for talking purpose and u can listen music 13 hours using headphone.(tested). 4.screen clarity is very good. 5.user friendly software. some -pints are: 1.image viewing is slow. 2.message capacity is low(80) 3.inbuilt games are bad. in a whole it is very good phone at a price Rs.7600.bcoz at this price what it is offering no phone in market can challenge it.

i bought this phone 3 weeks ago, i think this is the best phone that LG has produced. It's cheap, it costs about 1,6 million rupiah in indonesia. It has a good screen resolution and also 2mp camera. Bluetooth is okay, it doesn't connect to nokia, especially 3250 but it works to the other brands such as motorola and samsung. It has a good music player, especially if you buy a 2,5 mm connector to 3,5 mm u can connect any headphones that u like. Try to connect it with sony or senheiser earphones, you'll be amazed, the sound quality is much better than SE walkman phones. Compare to x700, LG is better, bigger screen and resolution and good mp3 player.

Download from GSM ARena - Click "Manual" icon below the picture of KG300. Download "PC Sync software". Install it into your computer. 2. Power on your phone. Connect your phone with your PC using USB cable, your have to select option "Mass Storage" OR "COM PORT". In this case, select "COM PORT" then your phone can connect to the internet via COM 3,4, or 5. (Note: Select Mass Storage" then you will have G: drive for extended memory and H: for phone memory to organise your music, images, photos, and sounds). 3. Run PC Sync software you have already installed. Go to Settings, select COM PORT as the phone give you. Click "PhoneBook" icon, then answer "yes" the "Do you want to connect". 4. Enjoy, from now you can keep your phonebook safe. Note: If you want to restore your CSV file from your old handphone (difference sequence of data), you can translate your CSV data to XLS or DBF using Office of Dbase program. Add/Delete/Arrange the data column which match the KG300 format). The format you set has to be based on the ACTIVE fields of LG phonebook you choose. Please read your manual. Good luck!

Hi all Overall a good phone .keyboard is ok, soon you get accustomed to it. The menu is typical of LG and SE types very very friendly.Blue tooth is wonderful, sound quality excellent from speaker phone too. Equalizer is good, mp3 playback volume is not as loud as nokia but quality definitely better than some nokia sets. battery life is a concern undoubtedly.I knew it beforehand.But somethings have to be compromised if you need a FM recorder, 2MP camera with unlimited recording, voice ringtone, excellent screen, very good video playback(thats what i wanted - this phone has a video playback with full screen and you can fast forward and rewind the movie and also adust its speed of playback 1/2 to 4x....now isnt it wonderful. Its much lighter than nokia models and its caveats have to be ignored in light of its unique features. Its for those who need a 2MP camera phone with FM recording, memory card expansion slot,dedicated music and camera keys, conversation recording,USB charging, bluetooth, full screen playback(excellent) and live in area of good signal quality (that increases the battery life to 3 1/2 days - my battery lasts 3 days and if i dont use a camera it lasts 3 1/2 days go get it

I don't think this phone is good for lots of message sending. Battery life is a big minus, excellent screen is a big plus. Software, named PC Suite, is another minus, and so is the fact that Windows XP 64 bit drivers are not available. Camera quality is good, sound is OK. A strange problem I am facing it that sometimes, not always, the phone asks for "Power ON ?" after the alarm has rung. This message should only come if phone was in "off" mode when alarm rung, but it comes even if phone is on. Moreover, irrespective of whether I press "Yes" or "No" in response to above message, the phone switches itself off. This creates a slight problem. Another infrequent problem is that phone switches itself off when time comes for some scheduled task, without giving alarm for that task. These must be software related problems, but "factory reset" option did not help.

I just got this phone today. And have already fallen in love with it. Got it for Rs 7710 (Delhi) with a free 512MB micro SD card. For it's price, it is seemed to be the best one around. Had thought of getting a Sony, but the only advantage that Sony had was the sound, but it cost much higher. Will post a detailed review on my blog once I'm though with testing it for every feature. It does deserve the 'Dynamite' nickname.

I just got that phone. Believe it nor not it is much better than my old phone N70. It is the best phone ever and I think LG is doin great work over its electronic devices. Now I hate nokia and there is no way I would ever buy a nokia phone again! Its camera is not slow maybe yours is abnormal it has the best camera anyway LG is known for its smart cameras! Well if u did not know and if u dont believe just go ask! And maybe u must use it in a more careful way to see its good sides!

hello,,,fazia ,,,,for u..lg kg200 camera is better then kg300 it only because it is not better then kg300 ...the clearity is better in kg200 camera because its screen resolution is 176x220 with 1.3 mp camera and kg300 has 24x320 with 2 mp camera so that ,,due to small scren size of kg200 with better resolution of 176*220 the camera quality is seem to better,,evenly kg300 is also better but its screen is small bit large wit more resolution so that is camera does not handle its screen

Hi.. its true that the qlty of the headphone isn't up to mark but u can plug in any gud qlty stereo headpones we normally use in our PCs. This gives u high qlty audio output far better than other popular mobiles arnd. The Speaker sound is very loud n clear... far better than walkman series in the same range...

It is good phone with this price. Its price in Lahore (Pakistan) is Rs.9300/= with 128MB Card. Its Advantages & Disadvantages are: 1. Although Camera is 2MP but pictures and videos are not as Samsung X700 which has 1.3mp Camera. 2. Many user are complaining about battery time - I am using this phone for last 3 months my battery time is 3 days. (if any one has problem with battery time - keep LCD brightness low even at 1 point. This will certainly increase battery time. 3. JAVA Applicantions - When the set was launched in start it was not java enabled but now new it is java enabled. the user who have not java enabled in KG300 or in KG200 they should visit Sadar Karachi or Latif Centre, Near Hafeez Centre, Gulberg, Lahore for java updation. 4. It is very easy to install java application or games in KG300. Just copy JAR file in any folder of KG300 and by using my stuff go to the folder where JAR file placed when you click on JAR file you will say Install option and its Ok. 5. There is no option to install theme. 6. Bluetooth compatibilit with other phone and computer is ok. 7. Keypad is not very comfortable. 8. Wallpapers are not easyly available on net. However www.emobilez.com has good collection of wallpaper for this set. 9. Sound quelity is good. KG300 is a good mobile. But the user who had used Nokia set before can be little disappointed from some of its features. Like, it can save very few FM channels, Can't add more than one telephone no if person have two home/office nos., battery doesn't last for longer period & SPECIALLY, it doesn't have PCSync software that can syncronized sms, note, themes, aplications(games/softwares). Hi All, Its arun from delhi I bought kg300 in december and it's working fine. Recently I got a software upgrade after which i am able to install java games. Delhi guys can contact LG customer care and get no or nearest service center. Thereafter call service center and ask for upgrade. My service provider told me that the upgrade is meant for solving restart problem (and not for java). i took a chance and found that new upgrade also provides for java games and application installation. after having upgrade you only need to copy a jar file into phone/card memory and open it. Installation program will install it. new phone may already have upgraded software. You can check whether your phone shows only games or "games and application" in multimedia menu

I last week bought KG-300 on recomdation of my girl friend on a special occasion. Its a superb phone. It costs in Karachi local around PKR 10,000.00. For the price its a steal. The look of phone is classic.The curves are outclass. The color is black my favorite. The most notable and worthy part is its LCD screen which is large and display quality is more than what I expected.Vibrant clors. The clarity of display is even better than K-750 and many SE models. Altough I am big Sony Ericsson fan and have used J-230, K-700, K-510, 300 and 200, but this LG KG 300 is noticebly better than my previous sets. THe music player's sound quality is awesome; and its built in equalizer change the beat and its effects to suit the number played. THe 2 MP camera gives superb photos with adjutable COLOR TEMPERATURE. The camera results are impressive with pin sharp details. Even if you blow up the picture on 17 inch PC monitor the pixels remain intact, however bigger scren Plasma TVs would show pixel grid. THe phone incorporates built in image viewer in which you can zoom and alter the original size of the taken image. The ringtones in default is also very clear and has variety of superb rhythems to suit one mood. THe music and video down loading can be conviniently done via USB cable provided with the set. I have installed a 512 Micro SD is more than sufficient to store dozens of stills and movie clipings. The Video recording is far better than SE K-510 and fast motion scenes are handled with smoothness and pixel grid is bare minimum. The photo saving steps are bit slow but this minor flaw is compensated with a thmbnail view option of images which you can easily scrol through in a single go. THe voice clarity on its ear piece is outstanding and its hands free option also gives a clear audio and you can easily hear the person on its external speakers. The FM recording is definetely a PLUS, I think no other phone in its price range gives this feature. THe key pad is very soft and perfect to write long SMS messages. Besides these the KG-300 features host of other features which a modern set should have. Many people have complained of its short battery life, well this is true but it should not give rise to a serious issue, for three days the battery remains at centre level even if you have long chats, but if over fiddle with multimedia options then the battery level drops considerably as the LCD display consumes batery power. But for a normal user like me the supplied battery is not a problem at all. Over all the LG KG-300 is beautiful mobile; and is highly recomended to all new buyers who want a good quality communication device with latest features at an affordable price.

hi ans for some queries media format supported amr,aac,wav,mp3,mp4,3gp only. it records fm in wav or amr, quality is not very good but ok it can play fm,mp3 in background and with loudspeeker, we can not download themes and can't lock folder. blootooth version is 2.0 and. it takes approx 15 sec to transfer 1 mb file. it's display is very sharp. camera is slow. a second capture time stores 70-80 smses (50 phone + 25-30 of your sim) no java installation possible. contack lg service center to see if any java upgrade is launched

I bought this fone last month as it had everything what I needed, 2.0 MP camera, FM radio, music player compact design, competitive price. I am very content with the performance of the fone so far. I am still not too sure about the battery life as when i used it in India , then I had to recharge it almost every 2nd day and when I took flight to Germany , it was showing almost half battery and after 15 hours when I wanted to use it to make a call while landing it said no battery, shutting down. Here in Germany it is doing great with no battery issues. Thats what as I said before, I have to check carefully how the battery performs. The butons are cute & easy to use. The menus are also great with a new feature of directly jumping to specific menu items by clicking a number istead of one by one scrollong down, which makes things faster in LG. It has additoinal slot for SD trans flash card which is good. The pic quality is very good. The camera has lots of features to make pic taking a happy experience. The video cam is also good. In short it is a great fone with loads of features in a small package.

Pls ans my questions : 1) Is the Bluetooth ver 2.0 ? is it slow or comparable to other new bluetooth phones ? Coz just y'day i saw Samsung E250, it boasts bluetooth but it took ages (abt 25 mins) to transfer a 4 MB mp3 song on to it. 2) How is the daylight readability of this phone ? 3) Is the camera really slow ? 4) My LG G1800 can store upto 275 sms, does this new phone store 60-70 sms only ? 5) Can i install games ? other phone sw like smartmovie, camera related sw on this phone ? hi, i have both kg 300 and nokia 5300.music playtime in nokia 5300 is about 9 hours and in kg 300 it is about 13 hours.(both tested). talktime in nokia 5300 is about 3 hours and standby time 10 days and in case kg 300 it is 4 hours and standby time 10 days.

abt battery life, well, in no way comparable to nokiya phones. The talk time is 3.5-4 hours where is standby time is fairly high (more that 10 days). battery is largest consumed by display and the speaker, so if you are fond of playing games, or listening music(without earphone) you will see a bad performance(recharge needed in 20-24 hours) in general phone need a recharge in every 30+ hours.

hi bought kg300 few months back.Was the first one to write a reveiw if you remember.The only problem i am facing is with the GPRS.I use a idea connection with unlimited access on my laptop.The speed is Ok but much less when we use a Nokia N70 and moreoever this thing HANGS when you access more than one site or by itself and the phone shuts down. Any opinion or remedy for this.Its not a network problem as it doesnt occur with nokia sets using the same service provider. This thing has led me to discard this set and go in for nokia as nokia sets have good computer software and interface. Awaiting response before I throw this away.

also, Fm recording quality is not good. it records mono sound 32.4 kbps/8 khz. whereas common mp3 are actually stereo sound 128 kbps /44 khz. still it is manageable for old songs still sound good. but one should not go for this phone merely for fm recording.

Did someone use a different headphone with this set with better sound? regarding phone... it a good one no doubt, however people must keep in mind that to get something great one has to loose some minor things. The greatest thing abt this phone is it's unbelievable price and lot's of features. All features are quite good. Battery life is not bad actually, and it depends how much and what for you use ur phone. Laargest amt is consumed by display, keeping the light minimum enhances battery performance. some shortcomings which often irritate are : 1. A better sound quality of headphone could have made this phone a gem. 2. image viewer have no change directory option, and so it shows images kept in photos folder(subfolders are also not shown). A direct opening of a photo show only preview with no option to enlarge/rotate it. so you cannot organize your phone. 3. Speed is slow, which makes internet surfing etc a bit time taking. 4. Camera is very good, but it takes alnost 2 seconds to save the image, if the object moves within one second, unexpected result may come. it makes multy capture option useless. Video camera is also very good, but when you record in night mode the frame rate is reduced and so playbake is not smooth making night mode useless. further i don't see any use of special effects that camera support. 5 SMS's -- only 60-70 messages could be stores(it includes your sim memory). You can not save message in a separate directory like nokiya phones. 6. FM- requires pressing keys 1-9, so only 9 channels can be stored. auto scan is faulty as it skips channels. for changing channel you may have to press a key two times - once to make keypad action and then to change channel. If fact when you press a key for FM channel change it activates display and eats battery. these problems,if you see are not too big to loose a good offer. well i can speak a lot but time and space do not permit me... ask any doubt in the same forum... regards Arun, Delhi

Don�t take a chance. Music is good, u can set MP3 as ring tone. B U T� Charge time is 4 hrs and talk time is 2 Hrs. SMS capacity only 85 and u cant move to mmc.

Yes it has speaker phone and FM recording function. This phone is OK if you want to use it just for playing MP3 or FM radio. It is not suitable for playing games or MP4 because low memory and low speed

I am from Indonesia. It is true that only 2 MB allocated for Java. In the case of Opera Mini, eventually I managed to run the 2.0 Version, which works just fine. The othe day I was using the 3.0 version, and it took for ages to finish the end user agreement thing before starting to browse. Midnight Pool works but a bit lagging. JBenchmark2 KG300: Total 23 (as comparison, Motorola E398 = 44) Hasil MatraxBench KG300: Total 101 (as comparison, Motorola E398 = 131) No problem with me, I only use java for opera mini, mig33plus, some kind of note-taking applications, file-explorer like moby. They are small program and work just fine.

@rahul... we can definitely forward the MP3 via bluetooth....are u facing any probs.... may be u are saying this bcoz u were trying to do it from the MP3 players list.. actually u have to do it from file manager and simply go to whichever file u want to forward...may it be MP3 or .ABC or .XYZ or any damn file.... Good thing is that while forwarding via bluetooth u need not exclusively enable the bluetooth... it automatically gets ON when u wish to forward and automatically OFF when done... isnt this GOOOD....

@umair well i simply cant understand what exactly u meant to say... can u please elaboarte it more.. i mean i hav contacted the LG service center and they dont hav any such thing like "ENABLING JAVA".... if java has to be there there needs to be a java option in menu like in other LG phones... on going to options when we come across any .jar files it shud show "install" option like in other LG mobiles.... but this one doesnt seems to show any of these symptoms.... and on other side many other mobile sites claim of this phone having java MIDP 2.... but the lg site doesnt. Im Using that phone..Overall its performance is gr8, we can remove operator logo, displays is really excellent coz i also have D900 of Samsung whose display is simply the best but when i compare them both i fell both r almost same but kG-300,s display was little bit sharp then D900, Camera without Flash is very good but in sunlight/daylight conditions, video quality is just ok coz it can play MP4 Video but cannot shoot mp4 video coz its recorded video reminds me the video of Sony Ericsson w800 but its little batter then that, Good feature of video is that we can forward or rewind video while playing same like we do in VCR, Battery timing is average like Samsung i found its talk time up to 3hours, but the drawback inthat phone i feel is its signal strength which is not good like Motorolla, Sonyericsson or nokia.....But Still i have and i like that phone...

Hey Guys, I'm OWNED. This phone has all the essential features and it avaialable at a 4 figured price - which is what makes it the best in the cadre. Mp3 player with presets, minimizable which means u can read/type text messages while listening to music. Pic and video quality are awesome. The display clarity speaks for itself. Plus you can set up video ringtones too - YES it is possible. But you need to have you contact listed in the phone memory and not the sim. You can download the pdf version of the manual and PC software from the LG website. Having said that, like they say nothing is perfect, here are few of the bugs that I have come across. Messaging - If you reply back to somebody's message, the phone keeps that number as a default number to where all the text messages would be sent in the future- till you delete the primary message that you replied to. I replied back to my boss's message, then composed a new (romantic) message for my fiancee and sent it. You can guess what happened. Had to explain a lot to my boss. Anyway - here's the problem - Normally any phone would first allow you to 1) Type a message 2) search for the contact 3) Give you the option to send/ edit. However in this phone sequence 2 & 3 are interchanged. So its like 1) Type a message 2) Give you the option to send/ edit. 3) search for the contact And that's where the whole messup starts. Since the phone already has the number, that you replied back to earlier, stored in its memory it starts sending the message automaticaly. So. Any bright ideas to fix this bug? If you do please lemme know. Other areas of concern - Loading games and GPRS (which I don't use much). Cheers Krish

Java support is available in the phone. but it has been introduced in later versions. you can check the menu(multimedea->Games & Apps)if it is showing 1.Games 2.Applications 3.Java Settings then it means java support is available in phone older s/w version will show the same menu as multimedea->games and if you go inside the options will be the games directly as fruits go, bunny golf etc... In this case java is not supported in your phone and need to upgrade the phone s/w for java support

i bought this phone 3 weeks ago, i think this is the best phone that LG has produced. It's cheap, it costs about 1,6 million rupiah in indonesia. It has a good screen resolution and also 2mp camera. Bluetooth is okay, it doesn't connect to nokia, especially 3250 but it works to the other brands such as motorola and samsung. It has a good music player, especially if you buy a 2,5 mm connector to 3,5 mm u can connect any headphones that u like. Try to connect it with sony or senheiser earphones, you'll be amazed, the sound quality is much better than SE walkman phones. Compare to x700, LG is better, bigger screen and resolution and good mp3 player.

Download from GSM ARena - Click "Manual" icon below the picture of KG300. Download "PC Sync software". Install it into your computer. 2. Power on your phone. well after doing a lot of research a found out a way to install java games on lgkg 800, hope this one works for kg300 too. 1. Hand phone Connection and �LG Contents bank� Software. LG Contents bank software included in CD. You can download picture and ring tones from PC to Hand phone using LG Contents bank. But is often found by the problem of connection because mistake of procedure. Step which must be done to use this software is : 1. Switch on modem at hand phone (chose menu setup connectivity modem). 2. Connect USB cable from PC to LG KG800 Chocolate. 3. Close menu and lets it slide remain to be open. 4. Run LG contents bank software. 5. Press �Connect� and chose USB connection. 6. Now you can download picture and ring tones from PC to LG KG800 Chocolate. If you found error message �Timeout�, release USB cable and repeat step by step. 2. Add Download Java Games Menu at �LG Contents bank� Software. With LG Contents bank original only can download picture & ringtones. For add download Java Games menu, follow step : 1. Close �LG Contents bank� software if you opened. 2. hi, I bought it yesterday. It is PRS. 10,800.00. It has some limits and problems. Like ringtones, sms/mms tones limits and gprs connectivity and java applications installation problems. The material use of whole body is quite cheap and scratches but design is kool. No edge, no infra. All other features are good enough. But cannot compete SE K750i PRS. 11,200.00 and Nokia 6230i PRS. 12,300.00...

Hi all, Its nice to see Kannan's suggestion on www.gsmarena.com regarding the setting of GPRS of KG300. Thank you. However, in Delhi, I have subscribed for Net On Phone (NOP) from my Airtel Connection by dialing *202*1# and for that they have deducted Rs. 99. It was some 4 days back. Since then, I have been talking with many Airtel Executives to give me the IP Address, port no., setting etc. But everything is in vain. The Airtel Executives simply says that this handset (KG300) does not support any NOP, GPRS etc. and it is not in their list of compatible mobile. Can you help me. Also the Bluetooth connectivity range of KG300 to Nokia is just within few centimeters. If you go just few feet away the connection failed. Is there any setting for Bluetooth device in this phone (KG300) so that the range increase??? Another thing is that, How to send ringtone from KG300 to other mobile (not via Bluetooth)??? Hello Mr. Gopal I read your article on gsmarena.com As far as differences between KG 200 & KG 300 concern I will not suggest you to buy anyone due to its bad battery backup and looks. But after all that if you want to buy, then go for KG 300. Because it has good resolution 240*320(128*160 only incase of KG 200 )which will give a sharp-edge picture. If You are getting this resolution-Phone at this pricing then it is Pretty much fine. Because in my knowledge there is no such phone available with this resolution and on this price. you can go for Sony Ericsson Z550i inspite of KG 200. it is a great phone having all necessary features and dashing look too. This is a marvaleous phone . It has almost all features of N70 at low cost. MP3 player is good. Sound volume is comparative low. Camera is excellent. For all such features we have to compromised with battery.

we can ofcourse minimize the mp3 player. Keep the background play option ON(in the player). then music will b played in the bkgrnd while u browse other things. This is same with Fm as well. to maximize the player..juz press on the mp3 shortcut side button

hi all just wanted to add. It has a wonderful logbook.it stores 120 last calls,40 each of missed, dialled and received. sms capacity is limited by what I dont know but stored around 70 sms in phone memory before it gave an error. just a trick toincrease battery life in any mobile (for those who dont know it already) 1 - decrease display brightness to minium 2- dont use vibration unless needed 3- switch of GPRS or bluetooth when not needed. 4- shut down keypad tone 5- decrease display light time to minimum. 6- ring tone volume set to minimum required 7- switch off phone when not required 8- avoid using phones in area with very poor network..(you will not be communicate even if you get a call so why consume battery) 9- li ion can be charged before full discharge so doit regulary and do a full charge after full discharge once a month 10- never over charge too frequently. once a week by mistake isok but not more.use phone at optimum temperature to increase battery life. So rest is ok. enjoy much better streaming video on LG kg 300 than on SE phones..maybe its 262k display does the trick.

Hi all bought this phone on the day of its launch in India.Did not find any reviews in english on the net so could not do much research. Overall a good phone but of course nothing like nokia or SE.Its just that it has almost all the features an ideal mobile should have at this price except 1- No document viewer 2- no 3rd party software support 3- difficult PC sync 4- no TV out as in samsung models 5- non exciting games 6- not so easy GPRS connectivity 7- no FLASH, macromode or lens cover Apart from this this is a gem of a phone. keyboard is ok, soon you get accustomed to it. The menu is typical of LG and SE types very very friendly.Blue tooth is wonderful, sound quality excellent from speaker phone too. Equalizer is good, mp3 playback volume is not as loud as nokia but quality definitely better than some nokia sets. battery life is a concern undoubtedly.I knew it beforehand.But somethings have to be compromised if you need a FM recorder, 2MP camera with unlimited recording, voice ringtone, excellent screen, very good video playback(thats what i wanted - this phone has a video playback with full screen and you can fast forward and rewind the movie and also adust its speed of playback 1/2 to 4x....now isnt it wonderful. Its much lighter than nokia models and its caveats have to be ignored in light of its unique features. Its for those who need a 2MP camera phone with FM recording, memory card expansion slot,dedicated music and camera keys, conversation recording,USB charging, bluetooth, full screen playback(excellent) and live in area of good signal quality (that increases the battery life to 21/2 days - my battery lasts 2 days and if i dont use a camera it lasts 21/2 days. Somebody gave this phone 5 5 5 points , I think it deserves more. rest is foryou all to decide.

I bought this phone after reading all your comments. I am sad. Its not good compraed to the price. The MP3 player sounds bad and the sounds is jerky. Also the keyboard is not accurate. Finally, the software is extremely unfriendly. What else can u expect from a phone thats not even made by LG (someone in Taiwan makes it!). My piece is 5 days old and i am ready to seell it back for Rs7000. Should stick with Nokia, or Motoroal (if you want a change!)

I bet your hand will automatically move towards your wallet to own this piece. Trust me it happened with me. The phones`s Mp3 player has a better sound systen than the ringtones.. I could not hear the phone ringing even at the highest volumn. That is quite odd. What do u all think? Yes the screen is big, but was not used and taken advantage of. Did you all see how small the battery bar and reception line was? That was a major waste of space..:(
