This phone is good even for 2019.. This phone has all the features I need like Edge, WhatsApp, Skype, etc. This phone has an app shortage, but that is not a big deal, because now that I have been using this phone (for 3 weeks), I have to go outside and do activities other than looking at the phone all day. This phone is so light weight, that sometimes when I sit down and, I think I just lost my phone. Great phone for someone that just needs a phone and does not want to spend a lot.

One of the best phones, it is truly a beauty on a budget. I am getting regular updates (April 2019 update) plus the apps that I use are all available like Facebook, Insta, Whatsapp, Flipkart, Amazon, BookMyShow, etc. Awesome mobile. To anyone who needs a solid dependable work phone THIS is an excellent choice. Those who have plenty of time to waste definitely go for Android or ios.

Updates are good, but not for Lumia phones. Where I work we had more than 200 of them, but after updates phone strat acting weird, didnt show call or message, freezing all the time random restarts.... We get rid of tham and switch to androit. Not that Android is bug proof.

Recently another update was seeded to the Lumia 650. Also the Lumia 30 still gets updates. I think mainly security patches and some bug fixes. But Windows still pushes updates for an OS long overdue… very good.

If you dont like it - nobody pressed you not to buy your googles androids phones! What a propaganda here when talking about a Win phone! Windows 10 mobile is not discontinued but they dont produce anymore phones (Microsoft), there are until now critical security updates receiving. Find more information about! Win 8 phone instead is already discontinued. But every mobile OS had advantages and disadvantages. Besides, why everybody is forced now to buy/have/use only and only androids in 2018? Where is the freedom to choose in a free market?!? Android is a monopoly google OS, mainly for children in their 20-s. A stupid OS, childish, cheap, full of viruses and bloatware! I've had this phone for for a little over 2 years now. I like the way the OS looks, and how you can customise your home screen. It's a really nice modern looking GUI. Unfortunately the phone has far too many flaws to make it worth buying. First note that Microsoft has discontinued their mobile phones, so that should be enough to sway you. Other flaws include a buggy OS prone to crashes, slow browser (Internet Explorer), slow phone in general, low app developer interest, No access to anything by google (No google maps. Which reminds me; The native map app is awful and unreliable), bad setup for volume control, low ram, No noticeable advantage for using the phone with a PC running windows. I'm sure there's more issues, but I can' think of anything more right now. I've probably convinced you by now, though; Don't buy this phone

Gotta be your install. I'm on my 4th Windows phone and every one has a fast open. Less than 15 seconds with storage memory maxed. I'd hose it and reinstall. if there's a Microsoft store near you they'll probably help you out to make sure it goes correctly. In case you're thinking "shill," I've been using an PowerBook/MacBook for more than 15 years. I'm cheap, but willing to pay for value. Windows phones are a GREAT value.

Going to be my first and last Windows 10 Mobile device. I can't stand the OS, as it's buggy, slow and it takes ages to reboot. Sometimes the camera fails to start, or it hangs and Skype on there really does show how bad it really is. The battery doesn't last long after several months, so I'd avoid this one.

It is up to Jio to support VoLTE on Windows phones. The phones listed below are capable. T-Mobile in the Czech Republic supports VoLTE on Windows phones with their app and SIM with no update from Microsoft required. Link to their VoLTE information. I can not provide a translated page because it is secure https. They support the Microsoft Lumia550, 640 LTE, 650, 950, 950 XL directly, no firmware update required, just their app. Your problem is with Jio, not Microsoft as seen with this example below. Link in this forum from a user that used T-Mobile in Czech Republic SIM and was mad about the app that was installed and changed his phone. He did not understand he was getting VoLTE.

Microsoft phones taught me how a bad UI and bad software can ruin something that could be a good low end hardware. They didn't even cover basic things, not to mention horrendous lack of features! They could make software better, but they didn't care. It was more important for them to keep up with PC and laptops, since that's their main source of income. I used Windows PC's for my whole life, and my opinion is that it sucks too. I don't have enough money for a MAC and there's no PC with Android. So when my current computer dies I'm getting a tablet. I've had enough of both - Windows and Microsoft!

'Microsoft' as we all know on a big level. But i'll say that they are only got success in computers and laptops but not in phones due to lack of applications running in it and for their stores. Phone is working well and given fine processor and ram but offered a sleek design aluminium frame which is better than any other phone. Storage and ram is less given in this phone because storage is less due to its updates size and ram is for working. Battery power is not enough for this phone, radio is available in this phone but after update its application have been removed, nfc not working well,touch sensivity sometimes is not good.sometimes its speed get slows down and stucking in b/w. But window phone teach us in a very disciplined manner to use it, due to its limited apps and features. Camera is good and not good also because it depends on its angle that how we click it, It is for both front and back. If i talk about its back panel so it's fine and easy to clean it. Sound quality is fine. It screen size is enough and good for users. But its screen protective glass have not worked well. As my phone display broken easily in my pocket. Rest are the things are working good. In this phone i liked three things its sleek design with aluminium frame, back camera and its flash place and main thing is its weight. Its appearance window 10, wallpaper and UI theme are pretty good. Actually the weight of this phone is very light.

The call quality is very good and clear. I would go for the Lumia 650 of those three decices because it has Windows 10 out of the box and I updated it a few days ago, it was a big update. Might have been the Windows 10 fall creators update but I haven’t checked yet. The phone is light and has a good 5 inch OLED screen with glance feature and double tap to wake. And it’s cheap.

Maps working (thanks Nokia) u can do calls (lol), browser (edge) very good, pretty dam good phone. P.S. I don't play games (I have PS4 pro for that), i don't using camera ( I have Nikon for that), idon't use FB, INSTAGRAM ant ect, (I have real life for that). I agree with you, the worst phone i ever had, the unlabled chinese one are hundred time better than this piece of s**t, apps crashing all the time, frequent reboot, you need to restart the phone to use the earphones, otherwise you will get an 0x000000 error when tryin to play music, youtube shows "video cant be encoded", apps wont install, pictures are ruined by the "add finitions" option that you can't disable, random notifications, sometimes you recieve message without any sound, ........ This is a really poor performing phone and Apps crash on a regular basis due to the low RAM and substandard processor. Windows 10 is also a defective op system and has plenty of bugs. In less than a year even the phone loudspeaker is not working due to some loose connection. I had the NOKIA 730 dual sim before this and that was far better. Microsoft is a failure where making phones are concerned. Will be switching to NOKIA or iphone soon.

In fact I am waiting for the Alcatel Idol 4 for Windows because wow, that things looks good. Also I like Alcatel as a brand, and the Idol 4 for Windows is a very good product for what you pay for it. Sadly it's still not available in my country and I don't think it will be since it's out already for a long time. The choice here if you want Windows 10 mobile is only a Lumia. But eBay can help me out perhaps. Though I'm still using my 930 since 3 years.

Here in USA we got Alcatel Idol 4S Windows which has flagship grade specs at $275, if it is available in Europe you can go for it. It's better than 950 XL.

Creator update messed up my phone!! It's freezing so often I have to turn it of at least 10 times a day. If it does not freeze then it won't open WhatsApp to share a web site link from Edge. It deletes all tabs on random occassions, and today it deleted all web site links lined to start!! Plus it messed up my start screen. When I went checking I now saw that another update took place without my agreeing to it just month after creator update messed my phn up. As sw designer and tested myself if this phn did not have call recording service enabled Id threw it in the bin!! But Cs it has I catch lying bastards w poor and fish memory so am keeping it for just that!! Not worth buying or if you do buy, never allow first or any other update to get to it. It's not worth the agro!!

I had memory full up hence the latest update was possible only yesterday. And I seriously regret going for it. Speed of Edge appeared improved for full 1hr, and after it I have to constantly turn phn off as it freezes frequently what I did not experience before this bloody update. Also it refuses to kill a tab from tab list no matter how many times I press x in the corner of it. I use to work for Ericsson as tester, no sw update cld go out with this kind of stupid faults like Microsoft updates show to induce. Disgrace.

I got nearly a year with my lumia 650,i use as back up phone, more for downloading music,Windows phones for music unbeatable. Since i bought the phone, i recognise when i was putting down on the table, or any flat place, the touch screen wasn't responding. I heard same problem from my friends. Is nothing wrong with phone, this is how windows engineers made the phone.I can say the phone is slow, sometimes the Facebook book doesn't open. Lumia 730,735,640 are a bit smoother than 650, still on slow side, but the apps open a bit faster then 650.650 battery is bad. Nice desig, is ok for back up phone, more is for older people, is cheep phone.

I've faced this problem before. Its actually because of Microsoft Silverlight. Eventually you cannot solve the problem by soft or hard reset. What I can suggest you and I manage to resolve this issue by flashing the device. Follow the steps: 1) Remove your back cover and check for your phone model. Etc RM1154 2) Download your phone software firmware. Just google "lumia firmware". 3) Download the exact firmware which costs you about 1.9GB. 4) Download Microsoft Device Recovery tool. 5) Please google "how to flash my lumia 650" Only that way you phone will work.

This phone is just terrible. Less than a year with it, the w10 is buggy and crashing. Whatsapp hogs the battery like there is no tomorrow. The 1GB RAM is incredibly sluggish. There are numerous other better phones in this price range. Even if you are a windows phone fan, don't bother. It is not worth the frustration. - Disappointed ex-windows phone fan.

650 is a later model, but the 640 wins hands down in endurance rating, and supports windows 10. 650 has got a nice amoled, but like the 1520 the LCD screen is MUCH more energy efficient.

Had this phone for a week, but I ended up returning it. 1. Great OLED screen, great colours which fit the Windows OS perfectly. 2. Snapdragon 212 with 1GB RAM is pretty trash. Windows runs alright on this phone though, but yeah even opening 5 tabs on the Edge browser causes it to crash. And there are noticeable frame drops when scrolling through menus etc. If you exit any app and don't close it expect it to completely reload the next time you go to it. 3. Camera took alright-ish photos, but was slow. HDR mode was even slower. Video is only up to 720p and is very shaky. Front camera was pretty good though. 4. Windows is a good OS, and runs well on this phone if you only use it to do basic tasks. Even when using the maps app it takes forever to load. BUT light gaming is actually fine (Temple Run, Score World Goals). App store is decently stocked and the Office Apps are a great addition. Typing on the stock keyboard is also good. 5. Battery life was also pretty bad. Glance screen drained the battery a lot even though the phone uses an OLED screen. Basic tasks also drain it rather quickly. All in all, a good phone as a backup or as an 'expendable' phone, like one of the other people said ;) but yea the SoC and 1GB of RAM just couldn't do it for me. Gorgeous screen, though. I had a Lumia 640XL before I switched from this phone and now I'm using the XL again. It's cheaper, has a much larger screen for viewing content and has phenomenal battery life. I find the performance to be better as well. Not to mention the ZEISS camera :D hope this helped!

The ideal secondary phone, very elegant, sleek and with a gorgeous OLED display! I have the S7 edge and I needed a cheaper, more expendable secondary phone, that should work as a GPS navigator and last days on airplane mode without charges and 650 has been magnificent!! I am very pleased with it, ESP with two things, it's completely lag free, blazing fast since day one, even in gaming, hats off to MS for that, there is no 1gb ram android able to work like that! And the adoptive storage option really works like an internal one, even for games!! PS it's always on clock function, is much more energy efficient than it is on my S7 edge

Ok as a general purpose business phone. Windows 10 Mobile had some interesting features that never really caught on. Microsoft's incompetence at marketing their phones helped seal the fate of their mobile endeavor. The 650 is a light usable phone that can be had used at a good price. If you want apps get a similar spec Android phone.

Bigger screen, oled, thinner, Windows 10 mobile, it is a nice upgrade compared to the 720. Customizable with the Mozo back covers if you like. And it's not expensive at all.

Hey, If you're upgrading from a Lumia 720 then it should be a pretty decent upgrade. From the looks of things, the Lumia 650 is better in almost every way. Considering you have the G5 Plus, the Lumia 650 may feel comparatively very slow and sluggish. The 650's Snapdragon 212 and 1GB of RAM is on the very low end (even most smartwatches use the Snapdragon 400). I use an iPhone SE and a Lumia 640 XL (Snapdragon 400, 1GB RAM) and the speed/multitasking are worlds apart. I've tried the 650 out in store and the screen is gorgeous. The build is also fantastic. I mistook it for a pretty high-end phone, BUT man was it slow. There were dropped frames and stutters even when scrolling through the start menu. I have, however, purchased a Lumia 650 which is coming tomorrow, to replace my 640 XL despite it's crippling performance, as I truly was amazed by the display. I also got a great price from a retail store. I will keep you updated!

That's a perfect phone, i am sorry i broke my old nokia n8-00, but i broke it and had to buy new one. Now i am happy i had to do it, cause i have this perfect lumia which looks like a business phone, has a metal outside, very good for one hand usage. It is also very fast, once you do the windows and applications updates - it is the best phone ever - especially for this price.

Using Lumia 650 DS in India since Nov 2016. If I lay the device flat on the table, the touchscreen does not work (since two months). If hand-held no problem with the touchscreen whatsoever. Any idea what the problem could be ? Have not tried the service center. My Lumia 720 which is my backup phone is still going strong at 3+ years.

i think you should go to the phone store and update your applications. i had the same problem but after updating the applications, the problems stopped.

Good phone. Not best price for that but all features of Windows 10 are working fine on such big display. Battery keep charge for two days without many talks. In my family there are Lumia 550 (best price for Windows 10 phone but small display) and Lumia 650 (more expansive, but more comfortable). I am recommended to you both phones. By the way, Lumia 650 support "double-tap for awaking". Sorry for my English.

I bought this phone the moment it got released. Not only the price fell halfway just two months after that, but the real problems started. 1 or 2 updates before the Anniversary one I noticed a an audio problem - plug a headset the sound stops coming out, regardless on the headphones. Mic wouldn't work as well. I wrote multiple times on different channels - MS' feedback, Twitter, forum posts. MS did nothing to resolve it, a year later the problem still persists. Another thing is the alarm is unreliable - if you miss the first ring-session, out doesn't ring anymore. I'm soooo disappointed, and so are many people around me, who looked for an alternative to Android OS. Apparently, Microsoft Mobile OS is not such a thing. :(((((((((

I purchased the microsoft lumia 650 three weeks ago from Cricket and purchased their service. Day one the battery would not stay charged. Took it back, they said I might need to purchase a new battery from Batteries+. I called them, they said they had no information re the lumia 650 and did not sell batteries for it. I am chunking the phone and battery, cancelling our Cricket account and purchasing a Moto G4 from Consumer Cellular. Why would Cricket encourage someone to purchase the lumia 650 when it is a terrible phone. Do your research first, I learned my lesson.

I've search on the store but I can't find a good fm radio app. Anyway, the phone working perfectly for me, and I love the keyboard! The best from far compare to Android's keyboard!

I try with mine and it worked perfectly. There's a few things I can suggest you to do - Check if your lumia 650 is updated - Turn off your phone and turn it on. (It can fix bug like when your phone can't go on landscape mode) - Ask directly to microsoft, though I don't know how fast you can receive a response. If all those solutions doesn't work. You can use an outlook account that syncronize the contact from the cloud to your device as an alternative for the time you find a solution

In terms of apps no. Windows store doesn't have all the apps which android play store has. But it has all the necessary apps like banking apps, social media (FB, twitter etc), some of the top rated games, notes apps like evernote etc. Apart from apps (I personally don't use apps because it consumes memory rather i prefer using the browser to get things done) everything is good in windows phone. The phone won't become slow as Android (I was an Android user before). Microsoft doesn't release OS versions as frequently as Android. I guess after windows 10 there won't be any new releases only updates will be there. But in case of Android, your phone will be outdated in a year, the new OS version will not be supported by the hardware. (Just see how the Android phones in 2 years have gone from 1 GB RAM to 3 GB RAM). Now if you are getting an Android phone with 2 GB RAM it is better not to buy it. Resource intense.

yes. I have been using Lumia 525 for almost 3 years. And the phone just works the way it worked when i bought it. Of course I do agree, some times whatsapp doesn't open / close automatically, but if you open the 2nd time it works fine. This i faced only with whatsapp, rest of the apps open and close good. The interface is smooth. I think Lumia production is stopped (not sure though), check the online stores. But good news is in 2017 microsoft is planning to release a new model under the name surface phone. You can wait for it to come or you can purchase Lumia 950 which is classic when it comes to configuration and hardware.

Lumia 650 is a very nice and beautiful phone, but the only concern I have is the lack of apps and games in windows10 store. My all friends are playing Pokémon Go on their Android or Apple phones. I am the only one left out alone because of having a Lumia650. It sometimes feel so frustrating as why Microsoft is failing to bring out such kind of popular app on the windows store.

Lumia 650 recurring sound problem. The sound is very low even at the bottom !!!! Side notification, nothing !!!! Side alarm is a disaster, it can be said that it is non existent !!!! For the diary must believe that at Microsoft few people use it, impossible to attribute an alarm of his choice, and that assigned automatically is inaudible !!!! Before I had a Samsung AtivS and sorry to say that the software quality was quite different even if there are advances on the 650. Great phone recently purchased it from a webshop and it's worth the money, real premium budgetphone if one can call it that. Screen is good and works well with glance, email interface in Windows 10 works superb. Still need a case cause it might be scratched easily. Replaceable battery and card slot are definitely a pro.

There is a known problem with the 650 LED. The phone was designed to be thin and light. A consequence is that the body of the phone can easily flex. When they do the LED cracks. There is no other obvious damage. The display simply stops working. Microsoft will not honor the warranty on LED failures. I had a 650 for weeks that I purchased directly from Microsoft. Never abused it, never dropped it and it stopped working. Sent it into Microsoft warranty repair. They said the LED had cracked internally and was not covered. The repair with them is $115. This failure mode is widely discussed on different blogs, Microsoft needs to either pull this phone off the market or needs to upgrade the design and they need to include this failure in their warranty. It is a design problem.

Windows phones are used by more of a business people. There is no comparison between Windows, Android or iOS. These three are used by three different kind of people. Lumia 650 is good phone except for the Battery 🔋. Battery doesn't last long and it is real problem. Apart from this I have not found any real problem with Lumia 650.

This problems are often in this new smartphones. The sensor is too sensitive, or a problem in software. Try pressing the power button, if the screen never turns on while on a call, or when someone calls you and your phone is not at your ear. This should turn on the screen, at least to see who's calling.

Got this phone so that I would be on same platform as PC and Laptop. Email account would not sync. Beware you can only get online support which is linked to the IMEI number. I couldn't decide which of the seven Skype apps to open, so I just send her a reply by email. 11 pm. Time to hit the hay. Light some incense for Joe Belfiore. Go to bed with my warm Lumia. I upgraded from a Lumia 710. It does what it should, great for Whatsapp, Skype, Youtube. I haven't tried gaming but both games I installed are quite unstable with random crashes. Camera is nothing impresive, not an improvement over my Lumia 710. Loudness is good, even with headphones and the screen is GORGEOUS, the OLED screen is really a strong point but as beatiful is also the most battery consuming thing. Windows 10 runs great, always fluid. Hope third party devs get on and make more stable apps.

Best solution for this issue is to go back to the store and ask to switch it for an android or ios device unless you 're ready for unexplainable errors, weekly factory resets and apps not being available (and the ones that are available will not work) But ofcourse, the battery is good though (logic as nothing works on the phone ;) )

i bought this phone a week ago. it's a good phone, you can upload stuff on the phone and continue on the laptop i had a lumia 435. they have the same basic like on laptop windows 10 downside is the battery. in the shop , I read that it go for 480h / 20days. it is on battery saving, i don't use it as much than for texting and agenda (and that's about it) yet i needed to recharge it already.

Brother. Sorry to read your comments. But that may be just an exception of a faulty piece. Get in touch with their Service Centre and they should be able to check. I too had received a faulty piece. It had problems while phonecalling and network establishment. The service centre informed after 2 days that my set shall be sent to their Bengaluru works. Within the next 2 days I got an update that my phone shall be replaced and I got it too in the next 2 days. Every phone has its merits and demerits. And this is no exception. Your facing these problems doesn't mean every set is bad. I have very good experience. Ups: Very stable OS (Win10). Has not hung even once in the last 4 months. Battery lasts for a day once charged fully with many apps running simultaneously. Photo quality is way decent. Processing is fast. UI is pleasant. Customization is reasonable and much better than Android phones. Syncing between phone and Cloud is extraordinary. MS-Edge browser is very good. Runs youtube videos without any lag. Display is amazing. Sleek body. Metallic feel. Am not into heavy gaming. MS-Office apps run nice. (Word, Excel etc). Music player (Groove) is superb. Downs: Absence of OTG support (even low-priced androids have that. Microsoft should have included that), Less number of apps in Store in comparison with Android phones. Price is really unjustifiable. Sound level (volume) should have been higher still. No harm in buying this for sure.

Had the Lumia 650 for couple months,nice design,nice oled screen,and that's it.I had Lumia 735 for nearly 1.5 year,and I was enjoying so much,never had problem with Nokia Lumia 735.With Lumia 650 is opposite,very slow,buggy,u have to wait ages to open the apps,grove music is not working properly,I have to switch off the phone every 2 3 days sometimes everyday to fix the grove music.Facebook messenger u have to wait Long to open,especially fb is not working properly.So is other things problems to.The phone is not defective,but I think is Windows 10 problem,Microsoft is stuck with Windows 10,and can't fix the problems.Battery is bad,don Last even one day.The only good thing is listening music with earphones,very clean Beautiful,better than Sony z5 which was my previous phone,but I miss xperia z5,fast smooth. Sony Xz will be out soon.

I have been using this phone for two weeks.I own a white one and the phone is so attractive. I like it's light weight and handy screen so the phone is amazing if you just look at it but when it comes to daily usage this one is really bad...I can't believe how microsoft thought that a business phone in a competitive enviornment can manage with a poor 1GB ram..The phone is laggy from the very beginning some times the music and video player stops responding also the phone is not updating the files for example if i download a video it won't be in video player I have to play it from file explorer. Windows Hello is a most significant feature in windows 10 and this device doesn't support it. Now I feel my previous phone S4 mini is way better in performance comparing to this one. So simply this phone is a show off product without any aspiring technical stuff(Beauty without Benifit).

For me this a great phone. It's very cheap yet it looks better than all iPhones! And it even weights less than them! It's powerful enough for everyday use. It has a great OLED screen and 16 MB internal storage which is not bad at all for such a cheap device. Also in most cases the mobile versions of the web sites are more feature rich than the dedicated apps so the app gap is not a real issue for me.

The Windows 10 mobile phone called 503LV which you speak of is made by Lenovo, Softbank is just one of the carriers which sells it in Japan, the phone is powerful but it's camera quality isn't as good as the Carl Zeiss equipped Lumia devices. But of course I do agree with your point that a lot of manufacturers are slowly jumping into Windows 10 Mobile bandwagon. Even companies like VAIO, Madosma, Mouse Computer and Funker have their Continuum capable Windows 10 Mobile phones. Too bad rest of the world doesn't know much about these devices but they are available and doing quite well in the Japanese market.

I came here and read most of the opinions about this phone, which were mostly negative. But I went ahead to have my own experience. I love this phone, its slim, sleek, and light for my pocket. The windows 10 and all the Apps I have works fine and i'm having a good time with it. I will say its worth the price. Just be aware that the internal memory is only 1gb and bcus of the size the battery is not very strong (2000ah); it give me 12hrs normal use. It is also true that it heats up averagely under heavy use. I would have wished the memory was 2gb and the battery was 4000ah at the same size and weight; it would have been my dream phone come true and i would have been willing to pay a bit more for it.

It's definitely worth you take it back to the store you bought it from (if that's the case) and tell them it could be a manufacturing problem. I've certainly had this experience before and I would expect for a Microsoft phone the battery life shouldn't be bad really. It could be because of this manufacturing problem why the battery life is not as good as it should be. If not a manufacturing problem, it could be that it needs an update. I've had a couple issues concerning updates and manufacturing problems with previous Microsoft phones in the past, but they always got fixed 100% efficiently and never had issues since. So check out whether your phone needs updating or not (as silly as it sounds with it being brand new). If it's still not right, take it/send it back to see if the manufacturers can identify the issue.

Well, for me it's just about a matter of users choice, May it be an Android, iOS, Windows, Etc...and all upcoming OS if there will be any...I was a die-hard Symbian user, and all I know and love is NOKIA handsets. When Symbian is no longer around I had a hard time finding a handset that I would be comfortable, so for me it's better you wuld be comfortable on all of he OS out there, just buy that handset that totally fits your need and life style. There are even more competitors to this device other than SoftBank Lenovo 503LV. For example Mouse Computer MADOSMA Q601 which is yet another Snapdragon 617 Windows 10 Mobile powered device. Both 503LV and MADOSMA Q601 have Continuum support too. (Although I do agree that with a screen size of 6.0 inches the MADOSMA Q601 is bit too huge to carry around.) Not sure about other countries but the fate of Lumia 650 is sealed in Japan by its own Windows 10 Mobile powered brethren.

You guessed it right Google is trying to block non Google email clients like Outlook and BlackBerry Hub email, in order to use Gmail in outlook you need to go to your Google account, click on connected app and sites. Under it you would see an option to Allow less secure apps. Switch it on. This will let you add Gmail to Outlook and other non-Google apps.

You can add your Gmail account in Outlook, all you need to do is to go to your Google Account on PC and enable access for less secure apps. This enables Gmail access for non Google apps like Outlook. seriously, you are talking about a daddy's phone. an age old os with nothing in it. and how can you say cortana is better?? i have used much both cortana and google now. 1) cortana doesn't operate if you don't turn on location. 2) it is much slower than google now 3) does not work with third party apps and edge browser?? lol, i can see how many people use it it pc. people don't have option other than edge and uc browser, so they use. some points about rock solid win10 m os 1) there is a big problem today, you cannot add your google account to outlook mail. 2) after installing some apps phone horribly lags. it opens so solwly (you can check YouTube videos for this) 3) majority of apps in store don't get update. 4) store don't have major hit games like clash of clans, pokemon go. for cricket lovers, there is a game called world cricket championship 2, which is not updated for years which is one of the best rating game in windows store. 5) if people want to play Pokemon Go, they have to buy an android phone. 6) if you want to set a ringtone. you have to install an age old app for this. 7) store don't have local apps which every local industry use it. 8) i got frustrated by seeing IRCTC app don't get any update. seriously this is embarrassing. most of the time your payment get cancelled. i dont know why. Final Conclusion is:- windows 10m is a developing os and android is already developed os. android has more functions so it need high end processing power. windows phone have limitations, one app cannt use other app or its data. so, app development and innovative ideas are so limited in windows phone. no one can do anything about it except Microsoft itaelf. i have an age old phone lava iris 402+ with jellybean os, it runs faster than my lumia 640. there are some articles in which people say they use marshmallow in their 512mb ram devices, and they are stable.

Lumia 650 is not a bad phone but in Japan SoftBank recently released its own Windows 10 Mobile powered phone called 503LV, it is manufactured by Lenovo and for the price point it has better specs than Lumia 650 and even Lumia 640 XL. It has 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 617 processor, 32GB of storage, Dual SIM, 5 inch 720p display, USB type-C port, Continuum support, 8mp rear and 5 mp front camera. So forget Android devices, this phone and even it larger cousin Lumia 640 XL both are outgunned even by other Windows 10 Mobile powered devices. And the price of Lumia 650 and 503LV is almost same and 503LV looks and feel better in hand and performs better too.

Yes there no comparison between always hanging Android (even with 3 GB RAM) and never stopping Windows 10 Mobile. Cortana is supreme over Google Now. The Edge is murderer of all other mobile browsers. Continuum feature in Windows 10 Mobile is beyond the capacity of any other mobile OS. The full office support is very handy for all business needs. Yes admiting that windows store has limited numbers of apps...and that is the reason why Windows 10 Mobile is supreme over other OSs (Windows 10 Mobile has all the apps suitable for a modern user...and not those time wasting apps of Linux based kernel)....Rock solid performance is far more important rather than having large numbers of applications (android has huge apps but at a same time its very slow...) I have gotten so pissed at Android. I had a Lumia 640 and loved it, got a 950 for a little while, but AT&T got my signature on a contract by fraud and deceipt! Now they claim I owe them over a thousand bux, which includes the price of the phone.Looking for a prepaid with wireless hotspot. This has a smaller battery than the 640, and some other specs not as good either. That's bullcrap! Appears to be same camera, but only 720P, while the 640 was 1080P! But give me Windows ANY DAY over Android. Not loaded down with BLOATWARE, you can actually use the external memory card, even run apps from it! Better battery life than Android, better memory management, you can load more apps on an 8GB Windows phone than on a 16 Gig Android! And you can actually download videos onto a Windows phone! Much more stable OS than Android. And, of course, if you run Microsoft Office, everything syncs across all devices, from Desktop or laptop, down to tablets and phones! Windows Rocks!

I wonder if anyone buys this phone in such a dominating Android and iPhone market share.The price segment is damn too high where one can get few good Android phones with double-the specs like 2 or 3gb Ram and 2.2ghz processor in this price segment...windows phones don't require such high specs.. but what's the use? Why can't Lumia 650 record 1080p video even though Snapdragon 212 is clearly capable of encoding and decoding 1080p media? I purchased MSlumia 650 launched in India in March2016. Today I repent my decision. Its Facebook crashes and the resumes of its own. Almost all reviews contain this complaint. In messages keyboard changed automatically to Hindi from English and my efforts to reverse it back to English have failed. It would show notifications on whatsapp these have stopped suddenly. Will Microsoft please attend to these problems and suggest solutions.

with latest updates the phone is amazing. actually i have 950 and 640XL but there is no bug anymore. the os is the same on all phones and it's bugless now. i have 10586.420 build and I'm really really satisfied with it. most of the apps are rebuilt and working great with amazing quality.apps like instagram, facebook, messenger, whatsapp, mytube(youtube), specter(snapchat), Spotify, tune in radio, twitter, 9gag mobile,line, viber, audio cloud(sound cloud), shazam, vlc and many others are now rebuilt and full of other oses features. every month new update comes to these phones and they are getting even better.

Hi Why does lumia keep making the genre which support less for users, my concern is, earlier i had lumia 535 and their's had some issue  as well kind of 650 where we can not play any song knowingly it shows a error 0x00d001a (0x80070002) with comment of "The item is missing or we can't get to it"  Even it is in my files i can play through my files then after that it is getting re-start automatically This's ridiculous, ­ ok now come to the second session where battery is reallyyyyyyy useless which only spent 10 hours to live on standby and if you talk about uses, so it won't work more than 2 hours to watching a Indian movie & apart of this all applications which suppose to use are not free, it's ok i'm ready to pay for that but at least you must be fair about services.

I had it too for about a month, one time while charging w/ airplane mode turn on, device gets very hot, since then battery performance is very disappointing, discharges quickly w/ minimum usages, prior to that incident its doing fine. Heck sometimes it gets warm while doing nothing.

After couple of days I'm very satisfied with the choice - the system is still very smooth as it used to be in previous versions of Windows, the battery is just fine for me (lasted for two full days of moderate use - about 4 phone calls (however quite short I admit), some text messaging, whatsupp messaging with whatsupp phone call, 1 hour of navigation, 1 hour of radio via headphones and the speaker, maybe 15-20 minutes of web browsing). Screen is cool, nice quality. Oh, and one more thing - I had a chance to buy a new device for about 130 euro and that's what it should cost from the very begining. Original price is a joke. For me this Lumia is cool, sufficient, the system is really smart (cool gestures in email like flagging or archiving / deleting the message with one slide). For Microsoft however it's another nail to the Windows coffin as most of the people are looking at the specs like processor and/or battery capacity which, on the paper are a "no, no". For me it looks like MS is doing everything to kill it's own platform. It would be enough to put 3000 mAh battery and a slightly lower price, maybe 2 GB of RAM and that could be a game changer. For the current price better battery, more ram and better camera are a must.

I can get about two days with light usage and 1 day really, if i do a lot of surfing, e-mails making calls etc. i don't play games on my phones, that's what my PC is for :) I never turn wireless off I never turn data connection off Bluetooth is always on. Screen brightness is set to auto. Automatic updates for applications and the system is on E-mail check is on every 30 mins Most application have been restricted from running in the background. Dude, I had a Lumia 625 for two years now, and it was the worst phone in my life. I had a 4xx before, even that was better. So so so many bugs and software malfunctions, incapable of browsing 50% of internet sites (with the rest crashing sometimes too), os crashing issues, random sounds playing from nowhere, or sound crashes. I can finally switch now from this possessed beast. Brughh... However I agree that the os has brilliant fluidity when on its own, nice interface, great e-mailing and calendar, and without its bugs it would be the most loveable os ever. So it kinda sucks that I have to switch to android.

I have had 2 weeks with this phone and its excellent sleek compact and light, the battery is small but with the recent update the performance is superb imo, its build quality is nice it feels nice in the hand the matt black back plate is nice and smooth only niggle with the back plate is there is slight movement in it only slight it could be my handset may not be noticeable in others but it does not bother me, the OS W10 is smooth when browsing the internet and social media such as FB and twitter seems very fluid, a noticeable difference in the 550 which is what I changed from. Camera if used properly can produce some great images, although video could be better but its far from disappointing, screen gives great clarity, in call quality is great very clear and crisp as is the loudspeaker. I am not a big app user but there seems to be more apps in the store to what there used to be. I use skype on this phone and works perfectly the front camera could be better but is not bad for the handsets price point to me the look and finish of the handset gives a premium look.

Lumia 730 had the price of Rs. 15k 1 yr back, and still it is available around 13-14k online. Not sure how come you are saying you got it in half of the price that Lumia 650 has (15k). Mentioning some points below with the comparing of Lumia 730. 1. L650 has LTE support. L730 has not. 2. SD 212 is slightly better than 410. Pls check some authentic websites for this comparison. 3. Internal Memory 16GB (L730 has 8GB) 4. Blutooth 4.1 & LE as well (L730 has BT 4, and no LE) 5. Video support for H.265 codec as well. (L730 has not) 6. Continuum support, that you will not get even if you update L730.

Even samsung is offering much same or more features for less price. you can find Chinese OEMs offering much better specs at very less price. So Microsoft has produced a failure. How it can be only 1:15h when a charger from Lumia 620 is 1.3A? With 2Ah battery that means: 2 / 1.3 = 1:30h and that is just theoretically, in practice it's always longer because of lowering current in 2nd charging phase (CV). For 1:15h charge you would need something like 2A charger. Moreover, I'm also using the charger from Lumia 620 and in reality it's outputting only 1A and with that it takes 2:15h for full charge.

There's no way that a 1.2A charger can fully charge 2Ah battery in just 1:15h. That's technically impossible. I have 1.3A charger (but it's charging only with 1A) and it takes 2:15. So either you have faulty charger or battery. That can be easily found out by using "usb doctor", just look for it on ebay - the one which can measure capacity (mAh). Something like this: For the headphones problem, are you sure that jack is all the way inside connector? My was a little stiff at first.

I can't say for sure since I don't own any smart band, but it should support them since in MS Health app or Fitbit app, I can see steps being counted nicely, which means it does have SensorCore. Hope this helps.

Sorry for being late with my answer, been busy lately. I upgraded to 650 from my old 620, so for me it's been a huge upgrade. Windows 10 is very good, I think I wouldn't want to go back to 8.1. Sure, there are still some bugs here and there, but nothing major and it's perfectly usable for everyday usage, moreover new updates are released every month, so it will be only better and better. Only cons which I see, is not a very good back panel, which is little bit loose and so it's making creaky noise, but that can be fixed by using some tape from inside. Another drawback is omission of magnetometer (compass) which I think should be standard feature in 200€ phone. So in conclusion I'm very satisfied with 650, but again I upgraded from a fairly old 620. I'm not that sure if it's gonna be such an upgrade from your 730, since they have more or less same hardware. Oh, and btw, if someone is interested, I made some own technical measurements so here they are: Voltage output of 3,5 mm jack is 0,563 V @ 1 kHz, it's output impedance is 16 ohm, and display's WB can be set from 5700K to 8300K, a maximum brightness I measured is 334 cd/m2, but that's a bit hard to do exactly, since OLED displays change their brightness with amount of white displayed..

Phone wasn't designed for the business excequtives. Battery power is far below the standard, it should be more tha 2500 mhr. I was using windows 8.1 Nokia Lumia 730 and 630 . Both the phones were empowered with 2200 mhr. MS Lumia 650 powered with 2000 mhr. In the desighining stage also Microsoft have done a bigger mistake. All the emails handling situation is more cumbersom and confusing. in the pop 3 accounts sent mails cannot be re- edited. Takes more than 4.30 hours to compleate the full charge. What nonson who can wait 4.30 to 5 hours to compleate the full charge. I feel MS should introdused a alternative battery to comply with arround 2600 mhr, the so call battery problam can be eradicated in that way. But need to send an update urgently by rectifying all the other issues encountering presently. And also FB and Linkdin accounts are cumbersom to handle. Expecting a new update urgently or returning mony back.

I use lumia 640 ds and 532. I really can't understand why some people complaying about ms stuff and os. I upgraded both the 2 phones with upgrade advisor to win10 and they are working more than fine. Battery life is excellent espesially at 532. Lag problems almost never. In store you can find pretty good & useful apps/games...so i think 650 works good as well. The price is a little spicy though but you get a proper product not a chinese cooked duck.

what i noticed for lumia phones on w10, if you have a software update that is left pending or unfinished, it tends to drain your battery fast like approx. 10% per hr. I experienced it with my 550 where I finished the 1st time i used it, the battery works fine, and only took 2hrs to charge. After i left some pending updates which did not complete at the time, it took me 4hrs to charge. After i downloaded everything, charging went back to normal. Then i installed insider and went for an upgrade which got stuck and battery issue came back so i had to reset my phone to remove any pending insider update. Bottomline, if you start any software update with your phone, be sure to finish them the same day. Hope this information helps to those experiencing battery issues.

Guys there is no any problem with the price.. Windows 10 mobile runs great on 1gb RAM and snapdragon 212 ( actually faster than previous generation sd400). All you talk about is specs,specs,specs, and have no idea how this phone performs and how great impression it leaves on the user. I own it (as you may guessed), and as soon as you lay your eyes on it's beautiful screen, and on it's great build quality, you forget that it has S212. It works great and it looks great. I think that not so many phones at this price range have such great build quality. Battery life is just fine, it lasts easily throughout the day. as long as the phone is snappy there is nothing to worry about specs. windows 10 is so damn fast. and my phone only has snapdragon 400 chipset. any other phone with this chip would be a nightmare. don't worry and buy. you are paying for a fast os and a high quality camera that is not just increased mega pixel numbers. The fact that they bought the devices part of Nokia wasn't a good thing for Microsoft at all, looking how things went. probably for Nokia it was, they have invested the money in other stuff and they are planning a comeback. But Microsoft sold a lot less Lumia's than Nokia did. Also they didn't put much effort in advertising etc. I think it would have been better for MS to focus on the software, leaving Nokia do the phone business.

Depends if you want features now or later. The newest Android version has superb battery live. Especially the new standby boost can last up way longer. The P6 probably has a slightly less better camera but way better speakers. As I see W10M it start to look alot more like Android using alot of the same features in a Windows Phone block style look. Like the notification bar and buttons down are almost the same. For I remember WP7 was totally different than Android and iOS. It's taking features. Continuum is nice feature though but will be a gimmick without developer support so at this moment it's nice to show off but not usefull without apps. The P6 has a finger scanner which is much more reliable and faster than the iris scanner. Decide for yourself what u like best. Finger scanner works 9/10 times and iris scanner much less. The 950 xl has at this moment buggy software. Alot apps don't work from the store and u already have so little to choose from. P6 will run any single app u see from the play store and the OS is finished. You will always have the latest Android. But the same is with 950 xl. But W10M isn't fully stable yet.. but can be in the future. This u need to trust on Microsoft and think about recent experience with how fast Microsoft fixes things. The P6 has better filming( but photo's are slightly worse ) its all on you to decide if u really wanna use the phone fully now.. or wait for updates and wait for apps for the phone and continuum to be really worth it. My experience with Windows Phone is that I always had to wait for everything a loooooong time.

That saying that 1 GB of RAM is plenty in Windows phones, turns out it's not true. Microsoft will NOT be releasing Windows 10 Mobile on 512 MB devices, because it's not enough to run the OS let alone any useful apps. Microsoft's claim, not mine. I could overlook the 1 GB of RAM, but I can't overlook that it is only dual core. Had a browse on specs where it is available, they all claim quad core, this isn't true. I guess saying dual core would be an instant sales loss. The processor is basically a dual core version of the quad core found in the 630 series. What's worse is that it has a lower spec GPU despite having a much higher resolution screen. The mediocre battery is the icing on the cake... that just happens to have gone stale. If they had a decent processor, GPU, and battery for the same price they would have been on a winner. Youn could turn have a next spec up phone with 2 GB of RAM. I own a Lumia 830 with 1GB of RAM and a 2200mAh battery and the battery life has been great. It gets me through at least 1.5 days of my usage. My Moto G 2014 from work has similar specs but a slightly smaller battery (2070mAh) and gets me through the entire work day. Usually have about 15% around 10pm (off the charger at 7:30am). To me specs don't matter too much, it's the OS that should be optimized to work with what you use it with. Windows 8.1 has been great for me as well as Android 5.0 on my Xperia C4, Xperia Z3, Moto G 2014. Even my iPhone 5s has been great on the latest iOS. The more higher spec'ed phones usually require more power so the extra RAM and larger battery should be there. I'm keeping an opened mind on this device until I have a chance to use it. I'm thinking of buying the 550 just to give W10 a try, I've read lots of comments and reviews on how unstably and buggy it was when release with the 950/950XL.

Mate, Android takes a massive amount of memory. It seems you haven't checked your storage in settings recently and if I may ask. Which smartphone do you use as the new high end android devices have quite a lot of their memory taken up by the OS. I myself use htc one m9 as my daily device and it takes 11.36GB for the system. Secondly you may have not noticed but also ios has started working on the customization bit since the launch of ios 8 and slowly improving on it. So that cannot be an excuse. i love the way WP made the storage part on the os. you can directly install apps on your sd card with any change on the the build in storange of the phone. In android you cant do that. I dont know what do they called that but when you install apps on android devices in will be on your main storage when you move it to your sd card some part of the app would be move on to it not the whole app will be on it. hoping that WP would push the ios/win32/android support apps. waiting for it. i have plenty of windows devices almost from the start when nokia branding is still there. waiting for a big boom in WP. other users the only problem to them with WP is lack of apps then WP can manage that. Get the discontinued Lumia 640 for $30. Amazing deal. Available at Microsoft Store, ATT, and sometimes still available at Best Buy. If you don't have ATT, you can google how to unlock the phone to work on any GSM phone service. I got the unlock code in 1 day and am using it on T-Mobile. Do not turn on the phone with the ATT Sim card in it before unlocking it.

This would have been the perfect phone for me if MS just went for a little higher SoC, which has at least 2GB of RAM (and a more powerful GPU) and a little more juice on the Battery. YES, I know people would say "1GB of RAM is enough for Windows Phone". I get that, it's true. 1GB of RAM is enough for the OS alone, but some APPS are demanding on RAM. There are GAMES which are power hungry (RAM + GPU + Battery), so expect a noticeable lag on those with the current specs. Besides, MS said Lumia 650 is "made for Business", so the specs would fit into that idea. But, I still wish they release an identical phone except with a higher SoC so they could cater the mid-range consumers. Lumia 655/660 "Made for You" (maybe??).

Going to buy this for sure. A very happy Lumia User from 3 years. No Lags, No Hangs, No Virus, No software issue and those who always compare with android and complaint about lack of Apps let me tell you that Windows have all the necessary apps that are required in a Smart Phone. Atleast we are faar away from those Creepy, Cheap and Buggy apps that completely kills the phones performance even it is 3 GB RAM or 4 GB RAM... Love windows without any doubt.

yes for the OS itself, it's enough.. but for the APPS on top of the OS, it's not. There would be noticeable lag when you run some APPS, especially on demanding games (like Asphalt 8).

Windows 10 phones are working good. 1GB ram and 16GB storage good to see. For a phone 4.7" or 5" screen size is perfect. Most people specially in India want affordable phones. Lumia 550 or Lumia 650, I have to choose between them.

I tested the Lumia 550 with a similar SD200 chipset. It had to load to just to display settings. I love the new direction Microsoft is heading with the unification of platforms and stuff, but I think this is a reason to blame the move to acquire the lumia business by SteveBomber and eventually spinoff to make way for the SurfacePhone.

Microsoft is really struggling to find pace. The device is good with metallic body and latest windows os and also with 16gb of internal memory but what it lacks is pixel density (297), it's not that much and also the battery is 2000mAh, not sufficient for a device with 5 inches of display and lastly the chipset (212), really??? In my opinion it's not that good for a device with mettalic casing, huh! C'[email protected] really love your devices but your selection of performing parts is really weird atleast for a device that worths more than 200$... WAITING FOR SURFACE PHONE.

WP dont need to follow any of the steps of other hardware phones and some software. WP dont need finger print scanner they have the iris scanner the first phone that has a security of that. Iphone/some android device dont have that iris scanner only finger print scanner.

Who said the processor is insufficient . My lumia 532 has only 4 inch screen with Snapdragon 200 . Its playing 1080p video smoothly without any lagging or flickering. I had seen Avathar Movie Full HD 3.97 GB without any problem. So the upgraded 212 processer doesn't make any problem as we consider its price. All lumia phones are better than android in terms of performance regarding the price point.

I admit that a Snapdragon 410 would have been a more desirable choice, but Windows 10 Mobile is still efficient enough that the Snapdragon 212 will offer smooth performance. This is, by no means, a gamer's phone, but it will run decently.

Lumia 650 looks very beautiful.but it battery should be MAH 3000 and Ram should be 2 GB and its price should be 23000 and front cam 5 Megapixel with Flash light and none heat problem.thn i suggests For Lumia 65o.other wise Lumia not Better. I would also like to point out that you people are all being ridiculous. The Snapdragon 212 is a solid processor that can easily run Windows 10 Mobile and is actually a very similar performer to the Snapdragon 400. The GPU is slightly worse, but the CPU is actually better. So get over yourself. 1 GB of RAM is plenty for Windows 10 Mobile, and with that you're also getting a solid camera set up, a beautiful and well-built design, a great AMOLED screen with Glance Screen support, and a generous amount of internal storage for the price (plus microSD card support). There's not a whole lot of phones that can offer such a well rounded package from a major corporation at this quality. The only negative thing I can really say about this phone (the only major negative thing at least) is the relatively small battery.

This seems to be an impressive overall package at a good starting price. It looks great and I'm pleased it has a front facing speaker. However, I'm disappointed that the bezels are larger than on my Lumia 830. I was hoping (with not much faith that my hoping would come to fruition) that Microsoft would make the Lumia 650 at least a bit more narrow than the Lumia 830, if not shorter. At least it's thinner and lighter, and it's a nice looking phone. It just annoys me (mildly) that the top bezel is so much larger than the bottom bezel. Surely it didn't need to be that large. And I would've liked Qi wireless charging but I'm thinking that's too much to ask for in a $200 phone. The only things that are truly disappointing are the small battery and the processor. I would've preferred at least 2,300 mAh and a Snapdragon 410. I might have to pick it up at some point if I'm feeling it, if only to play around with.

People seem to be confusing the Snapdragon 410 with the Snapdragon 400. The Snapdragon 212 and the Snapdragon 400 (and all the variations in the 400) do appear to be very similar, both are ARMv7 and 32-bit only. The Snapdragon 410 however is NOT the same, it is ARMv8. If you run a 64-bit OS ARMv8 is supposedly considerably faster. As pointed out by someone else, this is telling (check the performance tab): On top of that the graphics is actually lower than the 640 and even 630. Considering the 630 is a couple of years old, it really borders on pathetic. Microsoft really lost an opportunity here, they could have made all new phones (at least the 650 and above) be ARMv8 and therefore run Windows 10 Mobile 64-bit, and have legacy and low end devices run Windows 10 Mobile 32-bit. They could have been on a real winner if they matched it with a sensible processor, in this case at least the Snapdragon 412. The Snapdragon 415 would coupled with a batter battery they would have been on a real winner. This is even if it costed $10 more. Considering the raw input cost, $10 more is actually excessive, but with those specs they would have had the ideal general purpose phone. The pricepoint is good for general purpose, but the processor is a real deterrent. No doubt they'll release a phone with a better processor and battery at some point, but charge a lot more for it. That would take it out of the general purpose 'everyday' etc category, making the price a deterrent. If would have bought this phone if the processor/GPU was a more sensible match at that pricepoint, however I am going to pass. Since there is no sensible Microsoft Phone at a sensible price (the 950 is the next phone up currently and costs way too much) I will probably buy an Android next time. If it had a decent processor, battery, similar price, and especially if running 64-bit Windows 10 Mobile, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one as an upgrade.
