I have a M430i and I am very happy to this phone. I'm looking for a M900 firmware to upgrade my M430 wiith this firmware. Is there someone having the firmware? Currently the only option available is to sell the phone to Mitsubishi mobile center, not present in my region for this kind of operation. I ask the firmware to the official Mitsubishi site, but nothing to do. I'm also able to do the operation using the appropriate USB cable, but I need the firmware. Please If you have it let me know, I appreciate your friendly help, thanks.

hey queen_of_berries, i have the phone too. why is it not sellable in SG (fellow SGrean)? I bought it from SingTel. Mine has lag problems and battery is not too stable now. In fact, I think the mic is also a little faulty. Used for 1.5yrs too. Email me if possible? thanks

M900 is absolutely a GREAT phone to have. Despite it's not a sellable model in Singapore, but it really has the BEST features for its amazingly clear & sharp 1.3M pixel camera and fantastic mp3 sound quality. This is 1 of the best handphones I've ever seen before. Picture quality is excellent! The screen is large and crystal-clear. Functionality of the handphone is very good, no hanging so far since using it for 1.5 yrs' time. Somemore the battery and the handphone is really originally Made in Japan. Definitely have no regrets in buying this model. Smart choice & a great buy!!!

I've had mine for about 1 year and a half, there are only two bad things with it. Sometimes i get the message "System overflow, exit application." I don't know why. When you close the phone, will it get some seriously scratches on the display

If anyone could please tell me of up and running website with a firmware,apps, and games that would be nice. Even emailing me ([email protected]) would be very helpful. Unless I dont need it. When I check the firmware for my M430i it has 94a26120 with the date 03/03/2005. Is that the latest? No one ever said that on here. Also on the manual provided to me, which is more accurate then the one here, there are a couple missing menus from the phone that were mentioned. Woud that be cause of the phone providered dont offer it, because the setting actually should be set for the "Bouygues teelcom" network? Last thing, Since the 430i uses Imode is it at all possible to use Wap instead. Have tmobile in use and have been trying to get the setting right to access the tzones.

Sometimes sending MMS error occurs because you send (photo etc) from the memory card. Try saving photo to phone memory first and send out from there.

Using this phone every day and night, I find it greater and greater. Wonderful pics (CCD!), iMode, email push (for free!). An I can send email spending just one cent each! this phone is rock, i accidently dropped it in to the water onced but still work perfectly, i love it speaker sound when it ring, lound niceee , its only lag bluetooth or else it would have been a perfect phone, key pad is big and easy to read in the dark , ccd camera is really good better than 2mp that available on nokia n70, 6270 or 6280 . it is a must have phone really , well at least for me

to Chanakya: i totally respect your opinion on this phone and i just have a few comments. this m900 is not a real 2 mega pixel phone, how does it take better pictures than w800? I have both of these phones and i've compared the two. w800 gets better pictures almost all the time. i was wondering if you could provide some comparison pictures? Another comment is that we all know the best screen at QVGA resolution is made by SHARP (ex:903sh). m900 has a TFD screen and i think it is not very possible that it is the world's best. But it does have the best secondary screen i have ever seen! I think this is a great phone and has a great design and feel. Just wanted to know if my m900 is not at its best. Thanks ***By the way your w800 takes really bad photots....it's so much differnet from my w800...maybe you should consider doing a firmware upgrade. just a suggestion)

I like the graphics on the phone. So far I'm not entirely satisfied with speakerphone, it doesn't seem loud enough at times. The phone actually crashes sometimes when going through the phone directory. The battery does suck, but I understand it has to do with the charger (if it's not the original). Otherwise, I love it. It does also suck that in the US, the phone is always roaming even though I don't have to pay for it... which means, I have to manually retrieve multimedia messages instead of immediately being able to read/see/hear them.

!!IMPORTANT!! the m430i can play song but not mp3 , aac is the format which can be played! the quality is the same of mp3,you can convert mp3 to aac with program 3gp. converter and the song will be played like video!!

For the person that was asking about playing MP3's on the 430i.. This is impossible because the M430i does not support or possess an MP3 player. Only the M900 Model supports MP3 files to be downloaded and played. As for the iMode browser, this is only equipped on the M430i phones, and M900 is not supported.

hi david!! frstly open the windows movie maker and add music ,and add a title which will be played during the "video" and save it in wmv. then you choose the xilisoft 3gp. conventer and change this settings....VIDEO CODEC-MPEG4,AUDIO CODEC- MPGEG4AAC,BIT RATE-80,SAMPLE RATE-4410 ,CHANNELS-MONO.... AND THAT'S ALL ,,ITHING YOU'LL UNDERSTAND ME...hAVE FUN!!!!!

Heeej I hope i am gonna help alot of people out with the M430i Everyone wants music on it wel its not as good als real Mp3 but its oke Download Xilisoft 3gp Converter Here: ­ Then you stil need to crack it but just use this one Name:crsky Code:368713050434434924510FD5-6565-E342-33AD Then you open the program and install it ect Then add the file's Encode them (convert them) to .3gp (3ggp format) En put the encoded (converted) files in the video folder of your mobile :) There you go and now you can play your music with the video player :D I hope this helps you alot ,

I know how to play mp3 on m430i ...the format is not mp3 but aac.(advanced audio coding, by the video ,,,you must create the video with windows movie maker an import music in it,then you save the video and conver into gp3. but when you convert you must change the outout of audio setting an put it on aac. not amr.,,,,have fun ,,, i didn't said all the details but you can try and you will see....

I have purchased a M430i two months ago. The camera is supposed to be a 2mpixel. The photo results compared to K750 are far worse. I have a question for any user. The hands free incleded in the package when you buy it is not performing well. You can hear the others well but they cannot hear you as well as the audio quality is not as high as Nokia's handfrees. Is it my handsfree or the phone has problems?

I bought M900 in mainland China,Now i'm in Toronto, the Version is 6091, It can make calls in rogers network,both call out and call in.So it should be a softwere problem for old version to not make out going call.

If you look at the camera it is as good as the sharp ones because instead of the traditional processors to process the picture as it is taken it uses CCD engine, which is found in the digital cameras, so it is more of a camera than a phone, bluetooth can be replaced with the fact that it has imode which still transfers like bluetooth. It just misses the function of a wire-free headset. This phone when it has more battery life and more publicity will be a big success. Maybe then will it be a big contender, but as you would say bluetooth is an issue, some ppl just like to talk handsfree

well it wont really matter because it is expandable, but if you think about it each pic at max res. will be about 2~3mb so it can hold about 5~10 pics with it original internal memory, then 15~17 pics. That is like 20~27 pics in total depending on the quality. If you expand the memory then you will be able to go up to 512mb which means like 100 pics :) Ring tone also depend on the source like if it was an mp3 or a midi file. Midi files are like 200kb max but mp3 ringtones can go up to a few mbs. So again it depends, but the flexibility of the expansion slot can solve most of it small internal memory capacity. :) Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply Inuyuen! I tried to use a FIDO sim card on the M900 phone and like you said, it works perfectly fine even when I am connected to the Rogers network. Thus, my conclusion is the phone does has a problem/conflict with the Rogers SIM card. (No outgoing calls can be made) Up to now, I still couldn't find a solution to get around that. If anyone can help me to solve this problem, please let me know or else I think I will have to sell it soon. =(

I'm in Vancouver, BC. I have the m900, and I have a contract with fido. But my phone almost always uses the Rogers network. But I have no problems making calls when I'm using the Rogers network.

Hi everyone, I am in Toronto and the network that I am using is Rogers. It seems that I cannot make outgoing calls. I will need to force to FIDO if I ever do want to make a call and it's very frustrating as the phone keeps switching back automatically to Rogers for me when I'm in the area with weak FIDO signal. try downloading nokia pc suite from the nokia website.this converts tracks to aac files which most phones i know of seem to be compatible with.if tou are trying to send windows media audio files to your phone this will be the reason why they're not compatible.windows media is not compatible with most phones.i hope this is of some help.

Hy! I use my m430i, everything is great but once I tried to connect to imode (there is no imode in spain) and since then I have a little icon on my front screen saying that I have MMS on the server. I don't know how the hell that could happen because it has the german eplus sttings in it and I don't think I can just simply connect to their server from outsite their network. Well, I did somehow and now I cannot get rid of that icon. It is bad because I have great picture on the front screen and in the middle I have this MMS icon. Anyone has a clue how to gat rid of it. i have made a site for m430i : www.m430i.tk my phone has 2 years warranty. firmware upgrades are available from the technical support in each country i think. In the net , as i know , they arent available. i think they will stop production of the phone.. the phone is very good in stamina. Is a very good construction..

referring to comments from Mitsubishi Singapore, it's possible to update the M430i with M900s firmware... Then you have an WAP2 phone with MP3 support, but without iMode ;-)

Hi folks ! Yesterday, i called mitsubishi cuz of some strange problems with my M430i.They surely offered me a firmware update cuz my one (bought in Jan) seems to be old. But what I also heard really dissapointed me. They told me...Mitsu stops any developing and production for M430i, all phones, at the end of June. Has anybody tried to flash m900 firmware on m430i ? I really would like to try that, if I can backup old one (just to change again). Any help is appreciated ! I still search for an opportunity to backup all my sms but mitsu didn�t help. It means the actual CMOS or CCD sensor is of a smaller resolution, and a software will enlarge the picture to 2megapixels.. like the k700 where the CMOS sensor is only VGA (0.3 megapixels), but you can take a streched version to 1.3 megapixels.

hey ling3bzr, when you set your cam resolution to max you won't have any zoom function. if you need zoom just lower the cam resolution.

CD transfer to .m4a by i-tune b. .m4a file needs to be saved in .mov by QuickTime Pro c. Then, export movie to 3G Options : File format 3GPP Audio Audio AAC-LC Data Rate 16kbps or more Channel Stereo Samping 11025Hz or more Quality better I think the Dta-Rate should be more than 64kbps to keep CD quality, but still 50% smaller than MP3.

The M900 product can play MP3 files but the M430i can not. More, you can play MP3 files with the clamshell closed. Video fromat supported is 3gp files. More, M900 is JAVA MIDP2.0. And the LED flashing light thingy........it doesn't flash the green light even after I've checked on my missed calls (yellow light). Have to switch it off and on again. hello... ok my problems with my M900 are still on... so i went to mitsu to check it out today... apparently they have a new FIRMWARE again!! lol.. this one is about 3-5 days old only... so i'm the first consumer to test it out before they make it an official release. will keep you all informed if this firmware will solve my problems... in case you were wondering what they are: -> hanging mp3s -> system overflow -> weird flashing LeD lights etc

i had bought the mitsubishi mobile M900 from last 2 months,betweens i had bought an extra kingston 256MB miniSD card.First time to use,there is no any problem,and i also formatted the memory card in mobile when i was first time to use. But,i don't know what's wrong with my mobile phone now,it always appear "check memory card" when i slot in my miniSD card in my mobile.And i try much more of time,it finally can read the miniSD card,but when i wan to read the file from the memory card,it will appear "decoding failure",if i continue to read,it will hang there. As far as I know there is only one key difference between the M900 and the M430. Unfortunately the imode functionality of the M430i itself is responsible for the lack of the mp3 playback functionality. As the memory on the phone is limited and the memory of the mp3 player is used for imode functionality. imode also means that you get a browser, extended messaging functionalities (compared to the M900) and the doja 2.5 engine. It might be a really dumb strategy of Mitsu to release a phone with such limitations (either imode or mp3). because we are talking only about 5MB additional memory. but it is a great step they took from the m341i to m430i, therefore lets hope for the successor to have all the functionalities of an up-to-date multimedia-mobile-phone. the question will only be if it will run on symbian or microsoft. let's wait and see.

What do you mean? Can or can't you play mp3 files on your m430i?? And if you can, could you please inform us how? I myself also think that the phone is able, but it's just locked by the provider. Same goes for Shockwave-flash and java games/files.. they can only be played using Imode and not by just installing the apropriat jad/jar files (no install option available).. Pretty sucky of them... O ofcuz u can write mp3 files to mini sd then play it in ur phone... after u have the songs in the sd u can transfer it to the phone.....it will only take around 3 sec to upload a song to ur mini sd

Hi Matt 1st of all where are you from if is s'pore than you can go to the Mit services centre for a upgrade of firmware but for the blackout case u got to leave your phone there for 2 days for services.I had the same problem but they change a brand new phone for me cos still checking what's the problem.

Guys I have been using this phone for a while now.. I tried making my own .3gp movie file.. Its lower then 2MB and resolution I tried both 174 x 144 and 128 x 96 but when i try to play both files, it only plays the audio of the file and for the picture it simply show a M PLAYER word at the top. Oh yes, regarding the talks ya guys are having about the Samsung E720 phone, that pphone's really damn chich in terms of looks. Its design sure kinda suits the more hip teeangers and perhaps people in their early 20s. The design of the M900/M430i's design however, looks more as if it was supposed to be suited for the corporate businessman =) After all, the D506i in Japan is what we'd consider a 3G phone, and businessmen might use the phone for video conferencing once in a while (maybe? Just my speculation). Its features are somewhat similar to that of the M900, but 3 features it has extra which might catch your attention are: -USB port

To Joy: I got the phone for SGD$498... Which is quite silly when considering Japan sells the D506i for about SGD200, and the D506i is more advanced than the M900... Or should I say, the M900 is a dummied down version of the D506i. Anyway, RRP for the phone in SGD is: $898 w/o plan $598 for those who switch to this phone in less than 21 months of switching phones from SingTel and $498 if you've used your previous SingTel mobile phone for over 21 months, or if youre a new SingTel user (I think) *Differences noted from my previous Nokia 8310: Also, the SMS system for the phone is based on T9, so its very easy to use even for one who's used the Mokia 8310 for a very very long time (21mths+) like me. The difference is the the '#' button is used as the space ('_' option) and the '*' button is used to switch between small and capital letters. The erase/backspace/CLR button is placed above the '2' button, and the Menu/T9 button is used to switch in-between the 'Dictionary' mode and the 'Multi-click' mode. All-in-all, the SMS interface is very easy to use =)

I've used two different Mitsubishis and I can say that their system is comparable to Nokia's though Nokia is still slightly ahead in responsiveness and system design. However, I feel it's a major improvement over the SE and Samsung systems that I've used. I don't think there's any problems adjusting to Mitsubishi, once you've used it you'll love it. I've been following this forums and guess how many people said they regretted buying the M900 (or any other Mitsu phone)? Exactly 0. I'll be sticking with Mitsubishi for the foreseeable future. Now if only the M900 was available here already....haha.

Got the phone from (M900, Singapore) Singtel last week. An excellent phone with MP3 capabilities and an excellent camera IMO. The 240X320 18-bit colour screen also displays images at an excellent quality. The only gripes I have is that it was initially rather slow in responding initially, and the usage of the Mini-SD memory card is rather unstable. These issues were fixed later on after I upgraded the firmware from Mitsubishi E.A, and the phone seems to respond somewhat faster and the usage of the Mini SD has been a smooth experience since. Also, MP3 ringtones seem to somewhat become a little bit louder. This is a lovely phone IMO, and hope that more upgrades on its firmware will come in the future. IMO, they should release a firmware upgrade that would make it support bluetooth and release a bluetooth controller device for it. It'd be icing on the already sweet cake =D

to jin: need to know a little more. Did u dl thru the WAP "internet" from ur phone from sites like moffy? - i use my com to dl games (jar & jad) and then infrared to my M900. If sites like moffy dun work (with no options to "save target as"), i also dunno the answer :P My previous M750 got the same prob as u, until now still cannot, so i dun dare to dl from the moffy site anymore... anyone got solutions? to LS & KindOfItsOwn: i got no answers for you... :(

I am not sure but I suspect that the M900 really does support DoJa 2.5 as the DoJa support is part of NetFront. You will see the logo if you first go to the Applications menu after restarting the phone. If you do not get such a splash screen than I highly doubt that the M900 is supporting DoJa 2.5 Maybe 1.5 but I do not think that this is supported because it is also part of NetFront (the i-mode browser). Anyone knows more?

to pink: I ownED a M750, tried to dl 2 games from the moffy site and it never works. Options to install were nt available for the downloaded *.jar files. I assume a *.jad file is needed... think u try the wanshua website, i gt my games from there and it works. But remember to change the *.jad.txt to *.jad okay? HAPPY VALENTINES DAY M900 lovers!

To Ray: You can get M900 for SGD 498 in Singapore with 2 yrs contract. If u r a foreigner, M900 is available at SGD 650-700 plus (no contract). To Pink: You can infrared, or thru ur card reader, transfer the *.jad AND *.jar to ur phone. It will automatically go under the OTHERS folder. Select the *.jad -> Options -> Install After installation, u will see the GET option (left soft key), press, and it will dl the game thru ur GPRS to ur phone. To JT: i got this problem just today... (-_-") SUAY~~~~ To Alex: I'm sure the price will drop futher leh... its a gd phone, these features + this price, cannot find anywhere. U try your charms on her loh! Hehe

I bought my M900 2 days ago! It simply rocks man! Sharp brilliant display and very comfortable keypad (much better than M750)Beautiful sound and camera. I find the reception is excellent(so far) + the conversation can be heard loud and clear. Such major all-rounded improvement since the M750. Good job Mitsubishi!

yes the m430i can play videos instead of ringtones or photos. (it plays them also when you call somebody -> i dont know why) anyway: i dont like having a mobile on wich i cant play the games i want. so please if anybody can get the firmware of the m900 please post it!

frankly, this phone is great, i am selling it in my store at 541 w. garvey ave monterey park, ca 91754 USA for $600 or free with activation. i have used it myself and its cool, but when you take a picture, say, with your phone open, you could only shot yourself . you have to close it to take pictures like a camera. but its cool, i mean, the camera is HUGE.

you could use the mp3 player for about 10 hours straight or longer, i listen to it for a hour last night and not one bar went down, the mp3 ringtones are loud if the mp3 is loud, so if it is not loud enuf you can make it louder the midi on bored are loud. when it comes to JAVA games you have to try them it should play most and 3D ones. i personaly have not played any new games other then the ones on it.

okay go to this site then download the red link that says Installation EXE(915K) and instal and it will open with a thing that says register and try now just click try now everytime you open it. it is very ease to use push the first push the up pointing finger for where you want the cut to start and the down pointing finger where you want it to end. then sample it with the play button the falls the OK finger sign if it is good click icon tha looks like a folder with a blue arrow pointing to in it and it will ask you if you want it to fad in and fade out un check them cuz the m900 does it anyways and make sure MP3 is selted then click the green check and pic the name and save:D then its ready for your phone!

well if it is to low edit on the comp so the volume is louder then it will be louder ont he phone as well, you need a mp3 editor or a midi editior and it will say increase volume and do it as much as you like

what i found works best for MP3 ringtones is to download a program called MP3 Cutter and cut out the part of the MP3 like 40 seconds forth and save it on your comp, then transfer that file(should be about 350kb to 450kb and put it on the memory card and thenwhen on the memory card in the phone and find the file and select "move" and it should say phones memory and click yes and it wil lput it in the music folder and that way it on the phone and does not take up that much space so far i have 13 35 second mp3 ringtones on my phone and still have 59% of phone memory left! is there people that still use Midi ringtones? why when you can have MP3 ringotnes, if you want the site that has the mp3 cutter reply asking for it

You use 0 to choose other words on T9 The light does not go off it always stays on while mp3 are playing menu, fun & media, storage used and it should bring up the phones 15 megs and push down on the key pad and it will change to memory card

i have the network busy too the company that sells it here in Vancouver said that sometimes the signals will interfere with the mitsubishi settings and wont work, in canada i cant use this phone on rogers i can send messege recieve message and recieve call but i cant make out going call, but then peeps in torronto say they can use this phone ine on the rogers network out there. its a flaw in the phone and depending where you gettting the signal it might interefere with calls and such :(

Dear confused, PLEASE dont even consider the N840 have you seen the screen quality and especialy tthe photo quaility......it is so gross and not worth it the m900 is seamless and beautilful with two 256k screens that are tfd and look better then a sharp GCSilcon screen, the n840 has a pixely screen resolution and menus and icons are nasty...... the photo are red and pixely even tho this is a true 2mp cam the m900 is better!

i live in canada to and am on rogers, the place you bought the phone should have siad that rogers and this phone dont go together it wont work only on fido, so just keep it switched over and you wont get charged for it, and in your preferred list set it to fido list it a whole bunch of times, i know i have posted this before.

WEIRD PROBLEM!!! I just got my phone yesterday and it does something very weird: Im in Canada and with Rogers, when the phone is on Rogers network, I can get calls, I can get and send SMS messages, but I cant call from the phone, it just says network busy. Now if I change the network to Fido manually then its fine.. I dont understand whats wrong.. I just get the "Network Busy" when I try to call on the Rogers network, everything else works fine. Somebody know of what the problem could be?

a regular song about 4 mins in length should be less then 4 megs (3.4) at 128 so just convert it to 128 and you wont know the diff of the quality of the mp3. as easy as that only like a 9 min song would be more then 5mb at 128

Well, I do not know if they are 100% identical inside but outside they are. I would not like to change the software from M900 to M430 (or vice versa). Because they are built for different groups of interest. As far as I can read on the spec page the M430 will support i-mode whereas the M900 will not. Simply as that. Get the correct version and you will be happy. But I have to admit that I am a bit confused to find the M900 already on the market because as far as I know the phone (at least the M430) is still in QA because of performance and DoJa issues.

As far as I understand, the M900 and M430i are on the hardware side 100% identical. So if the software makes the difference (iMode, Mp3), then it would be possible to flash either roms into each of the phones converting it from m900 to m430i or more interestingly visa versa (Mp3!!). i got it its great! especially using the camera with the clamshell closed it and all the setting adjustments blows any camera phone out of the water that ive seen so far and believe me i have seen my share,yea no bluetooth but the hell with it,besides card reader is faster and less hassle than buetooth.Is a shame that it is not more widespread in the usa for this phone also the fact that its on 900&1900 mhz& not 850mhz which has forced me to use it on t-mobile.GEt one.I did ;}

with the type of price you're gonna pay for the M900, bluetooth is a must, if you use it or not. i would check a true "MP cameraphone out, like the Sharp TM200 or the NEC N840.

Ken, ehz.. i went to the m1 shop at basement of paragon... the lady there took like 15mins to do my WAP and mms settings... but she still got it done... (but i just took out the singtel sticker just in case...) :P regarding PC cable transfer... there is an authorised dealer in the bukit merah area... forgot the name.. but mitsubishi service centre at alexandra road will know.. (i asked them b4) however i doubt the data transfer cable will be in stock yet... might be sold out already i dunno... keep us informed ya? interesting topics that repeatedly pop up: -self portrait photo flipping problem -is the phone big? -chinese support -photo id -mp3 ringtone

LS : 1) Yes the phone supports chinese characters 2) Yes you can set mp3 as ringtones 3)I find m900 pretty user friendly.......it took me two days to adapt........very fast......of course, Mitsubishi has better screen, mp3 sounds better compared to Nokia.........I just bought Nokia 6670 today for my bf.........I still prefer m900 :)

shame on u mitsu! intreduce your like a 2Mpix cameraphone in ur pub. all about us know that it's only a 1.3mpx. therefore, the pic take with the camera or not better than other 1.3Mpix cameraphone. No way to buy it. 4 the best quality pic, buy a GX30 (1mpix)from sharp, or their new 902sh with a 2Mpix lens and a autofocus and a OPTICAL ZOOM 2x (supported 3g) . that 's what i call a great cameraphone!!! by a french phone addict.

To unkown : Yes.....it doesn't accept files bigger than 5MB........and yes I find the batt alittle short-lived.........but since tuning down the brightness alittle.........it lasts for 3 days plus.......not too bad........but overall, this is a great phone.....the graphics and everything looks stunning. The camera's great, mp3 sounds good etc.....every phone has pros and cons. My friends who look at my phone admire it.

The 'mirror image' should only appear when u take a self portrait. The image u see on the internal screen while taking the photo is a mirror image but when u snap the picture, it should appear correctly. If u dun believe me, use the internal camera mode and take a picture of a printed page. The resultant image should show the words correctly and not a 'mirror image'.

Its only in mirror mode when u're in the process of taking the picture (internal viewfinder mode) but after u take the picture the resulatant image comes out in the correct position.

I wonder why sometimes when I try to take a shot, the M900 will capture the image and reject it? I will usually be prompted whether I want the captured image or not. However sometimes the phone will just take the image, then just reject it...I did not shake too much during those shots.....

Jin : If you transfer via infrared then the midis will automatically be saved under "Melodies" and not memory card............if you use card reader then you'll be able to copy and paste the midis straight from your PC into your memory card

Jin : Yes, of course you can move the midis to your memory card. Press "Menu" then select "Fun & Media Box". After that, select "Melodies"..........use the up, down arrow key to choose which midi you wanna move to the card. Press option, you'll see "play, set as, send by, delete, delete all" etc right?.............there are more.......press the down key to scroll (after delete all) then you'll be able to see "Move To".........select "Move To" then you can move the midi file to your memory card.

I am not really capable of reading and/or understanding greek (who else than a very few greeks is?), but I can assure you that it is impossible that they had a production version in their hands as I am well informed that the OS is still in quality assurance, so that the final version will be faster. What do you mean with a lot of confirmation dialogues? I-mode phones are known for displaying a lot of messages, aren't they?

Just check this model from one of the retailer, he said he don't carry this phone, even M1 and starhub cannot carry and exclusively to singtel only. Any body can advise why? to xHoNzx: it's like a drive.. where u can tranfer data from pc to the miniSD card or from midiSD card to pc.. you jus have to insert yur miniSD card to the card reader, to tranfer data.. and connect the card reader to the computer using USB port.. i took a pic of my USB card reader using M900.. same time can show to keen buyers, the quality of the camera.. to sydney: hiz.. eh u can set your fav mp3s as ya ring tones.. must set in under the sms parameters. but sadly cannot adjust the volume of the sms ringtone... xHoNzx: eh i called mitsubishi that time regarding the purchase of data cables and extra accessories for the 750... they told me there's an authorised dealer in bukit merah and they said that thats the only one in singapore. pink: eh don't mind i help u answer that question since i came across it today... u can set caller's pic by adding their name as per normal... scroll to the bottom of the phone book entry menu.. u will see PICTURE. select and choose the picture on the left of the sunshine. then u will then have to browse for it. there's a limit of 50 individual photos if i'm not wrong... should be + - 10. i didn't really count. :P but the default ones available can be used for all entrees. good day

To xHoNzx: memory card reader reads memory cards. There are a few types of them. Insert your miniSD card into the card adapter(it comes with the phone) and then into the card reader...........then connect the card reader to ur PC via USB port.............that's all.........You can also get multi card reader like 19 in 1 etc........19 in 1 means the card reader is able to read 19 types of card........or you can just get one that reads only miniSD........its up to you........

Mikeye, The rate of the phone doesn't really meant anything...It's up to the peference of the reviewer to rate the phone according to the features he thinks it's appropriete. The Nokia 6230 got a full rate score because its balance and has most of the features, however that doesn't make it the best phone out there since the SHARP GX32 and M900 has a far superior camera, screen, sound, design etc...than it! Moreover the GX32 and M900 doesn't have full ratings. The M900 is more superior than the GX32 from my opinion that's why I went for the M900 instead of the GX32 which was beside it.

Rebecca, try lowering the brightness and turning off the service light, that will save more battery power.

natsumi, Make sure you had removed the mini SD from it's adapter. ones it's out, it will fit perfectly. Also remember to lock your card by pushing the lock switch on the side of the adapter to "lock" since it protects your files while the card is inserted into another device or reader.

its true that mp3 files have to be nder 5mb but what you do is get a mp3 editor and make the file to 128 bit rate and change it and the mp3 will like shrink 2 megs and still sound great! that what i did and have 9 songs on a 32mb card and the quality is still just perfect!!!!

i hv m900, heres wt i think GOOD: - nice design, follows japanese style in modern standard for clamshell fones (some ppl say its not user-friendly, its just cuz u guys never used a jap fone, fones in japan all hv this same style) - very very nice camera, takes better pics than GX32 and S700 - both screens are the best ive ever seen - supports external miniSD up to 1GB BAD: - no BT (which i use alot) - file size limit (5mb for video and mp3, 300k for java) - mono speaker - no foreign language filename support(which i also use alot)

Derrek the screen is 256k it shows you can make louder ring tone on the comp and put them on your phone mine are loud and can here it in noisy places reception i awsome i live in vacouver city full of mountines and i awlways get full signal and even on the island where freinds get low i get full! the camera quality is so good much better then s700 the keypad rocks nice and big and easy to text and i do it a lot! nice and smooth and it learns well too! you just push the t9 button and it changes and 0 makes the letter change or coma etc picture messagin is fine but can not send 2mp pic on my network the file size is to large you must use the pic msg size photo. i kill the battery inone day but i non stop text take pics listen to music and play games all day if i let it sit the batt will last like 2 - 3 days photo caller id is added under the persons name you want it is the last option.

OMG i just say the display and camera quality on the nec n840 and its so groos and bad!!!! the camera is like a 1mp when it should look better then the m900 but it is horrible!!!! and the screen res...... blurry and pixely and so boring screen in the menu! yuck yuck yuck yuck........... m900 is the way to be!

For those M900 owners, sincerely I hope someone can help me with the following queries: 1. How is the battery life? The specification put standby time 200 hours and talktime 4 hours but under mitsubishi website put standby time 300 hours and talktime 7 hours (a great difference) 2. The specification here and mitsubishi website indicate the external TFD is 256k but I saw some other review put as 65k, can advise which is true? 3. I saw some owners indicating the ringtones is soft, so if I download those chinese ringtones to this phone, is it very soft? 4. Can I confirm the reception of this phone whether is good and clear even at basement carpark? 5. Is the picture quality very good also using the 2 megapixel as compared to SE S700? 6. Is the sms keying is as user friendly as Nokia such as can change the CAP,NON CAP, NUMBERS, DICTIONARY, CHINESE and those COMMA,FULLSTOP ETC with one key button or must change the phone settings? 7. Is it true that some sms with pictures cannot be received from this phone but only the wordings? Is it all pictures cannot be receive or only some, if some than can advise what kind of format that it cannot receive? ALL: got my infared adapter for 29.90. its a store at sim lim on the same floor as ATC multimedia... but i heard that mitsu has some problems with connectivity with some infared adapters (dunno whether its true) so i went to one shop that is selling those "hotdrives" at cheap prices. small rectangularish shop that let me test the infared adapter with their com... so i liked their service a lot. my aunt recommended "ifoundry" good brand from challenger but is about $50 weight: i think its not much of a problem since the CG (not 3G, the centre of grav) is the part u hold) so you don't feel the phone being pulled away from you cause of the weight balance. but i'm a siemens convert (thought that i'll die a siemens fan till i met mitsu :P) i find the keys built very differently.. i actually didn't hesitate to buy cause my siemens phone literally tore a whole in my pocket... all my school pants got one big hole cause my phone has the ability to tear through cotton!! lol.. pink: thanks for ya contribution regarding the mini-sd (a lot of those small shops never heard of mini sd b4 lol) picture quality is freakin good... i sent a mms to my aunt and she said she was surprised it was from a phone cam.. lol... ehz.. but i find the 2mega pic function makes the pic blurer, maybe cause i haven downloaded to my com yet... will post on my blog or something ya? video format is still very basic... resolution being something like 200x120 (close enough) camera myth: oh yahz... in case one was wondering, this cam only has 1 lens.. but because its a clam shell, the lens rotates with the clam eh... or the shell, you get the idea :P so when the phone is closed the lens points outwards ( like a normal phone) when its opened, the lens faces you (for self portrait) some cool additions that other companies never thought off is a sliding lens cover, so ya lens won't get scratched, and when its slided open your external screen becomes ya lcd screen. special functions include brightness adjustment, resolution, sharpness, contrast, quality (fine normal), compact light... which is the most COOL feature!!! haha... cause its better than a flash... its like ya phone's torch light... a constant "bulb" that is activated to balance the lighting in a well lighted room or to lighten things up... i'll post pics of that in action on my blog as well soon enough if you all want... i don't mind doing that.. ^_^ thanks for reading!

to Pink: multi card reader reads all types of card. you can use it for ur phone, camera etc. It costs 22 sing dollar. I just bought one.From bugis.you can use afrared adapter too but I tried transferring via infrared and for bigger files, it's slow. It's up to you :)

grace: the m900 isn't available in Malaysia as yet (outside chance of one or two dealers having it in KL though). Becky bought hers at 768 sing, Rm1700 here. Ericsan: the M900 has only one camera, the D450i is the one with dual cameras. Chua, Pink: well, i just checked the price for MMCs here in Penang. RS cards are around RM300+ for a 512MB, and RM200+ for a 245MB one. Roughly that much, if I see the dealers today I can ask them.

pink: eh actually its quite simple, just buy an infared adapter for ya com, activate ya m900 IRDA and link them together. if the drivers are installed correctly for the infared adapter, unless its plug and play... it will say m900 detected and then u just double click on the logo stating so on ya taskbar (that thing at the bottom right) then its simply a matter of selecting the files to transfer. the m900 will receive and u can preview and subsequently choose to delete or save. pictures will go to the standard pictures folder. mp3s and midis to music. videos to videos. oh sim lim has the mini-sd 256mb card for sale at $65... is it worth it? can anyone provide feedback? cause i'm thinking of upgrading since 32 is kinda small.

yeap regarding the ear phone thingy.. i think the software is rather generous on the sound playback... cause i have to play my mp3s at the minimum volume in a quiet room (ie when i'm surfing the net and typing here) and its still very loud... so kinda downpoint there... but no one uses a handphone at home.. its probably catered for outdoor environments which are considerably noisier... ehh battery life is quite ok so far... i'm on my 1st day of normal usage running. spent the last 2 days playing with mp3s and downloading songs/pics and stuff... drained about 2 bars (mitsubishi uses 5 bars for batt life) after 2 games of "reversi" "1 level of some space fighting game" (both sound and vibration on) and transfering 5 songs/1 wallpaper and taking 2 photos... (its not a real run, its just what i did to the phone that way) will keep ya posted.

Some phones can't read picture message but still would have the sms minus the picture. But M900 can't "receive" the picture message at all as the sms just cannot go through! Pity, but still a great phone and no regret buying it.

Anpoll83... sigh...an unbeliever... the reason why so many people are using nokia samsung and SE phones is not because they are popular... but its because they use aggressive marketing campaigns for products that are not that good compared to mitsu. mitsubishi aims at providing sheer quality for the masses with a touch of japanese culture in it. its also perhaps the fault of the mobile phone dealers... many do not even carry more than 1 unit of the various mitsubishi models if not none at all.. furthermore, there was one m900 owner that posted here some time back saying that he had shown his phone to a handphone dealer and that he remarked that he did not know such a powerful phone was available. well i guess if your intention was to insult mitsubishi and gain attention, i guess you should go for brands like nokia, samsung or SE.. that way you may be able to get more attention there and perhaps even the company's lawyer.. :P Chua BS

anpoll88 is an idiot, i guess he must be working for SE, nokia or samsung...mitsubishi sure knows how to make the high-quality phones cheaper than anyone else...oh yeah if you set a normal picture as a wallpaper, the operator logo goes away (becomes just a line of text). if you use a graphics theme though, the operator graphic will be displayed.

Try not to buy from a HP dealer,they not only change aaccessories they can even sell you a old phone ! When u trade in ur old phone how come when u have the guarentee card will let u have a better price cos after they get it from u & they'll sell out as a new one. So don't just want save a few bucks & get swindle by some of those bad dealer! :)

A question for those who have the M900 or any other Mitsubishi Hps. Many ppl have commented about the M900's great features but how about its core and basic function as a mobile phone? Do all Mitsubishi phones (the M900 in particular)have good reception? I never had a Mitsubishi phone before. My present hp is Sony Ericsson and IMO, the reception is not bad but could be better. To me, Samsung hps have the best receptions, you can hear the caller loud and clear. Any replies appreciated. Thanks.

Wow! I'll be waiting for the price to drop further cos i jus got my M750 not too long ago, so no hurry... BUT... i swear i'm gonna get this phone no matter wat :P As a M750 user, I can say i'm still really proud of my hp! Great UI, jappy-outlook, hassle-free infra and its cool camera features! One thing also abt Mitsubishi is their so reasonable price! The new M900 will definitely be the greatest phone of its kind around in SG. 2MP photo quality with 1 ext and 1 int rotating camera! Plus big screenS, ext SD card slot and cool MP3 player function. How cool is that? Unless Sharp wer to be available in Sg, only SE comes close. Thou M900 lacks BT, I'm not bothered one bit cos i dun have a BT headset & i dun need BT (i used to own T610, BT is pretty useless ne) I just luv phones with BIG SCREENS~ they are comfortable to look at and use. I just bought my M900 today, and it gave me a mitsubishi phone neck strap and a card reader including an USB cable for free(I bought it in Hong Kong). The memory of the 32mb mini-SD is a bit little, you might have to get a 128mb or 256mb for more storage capacity. Oh and mini-SDs are quite rare and expensive at this point.

ok you have to buy the data cable seperate, it sucks up a lot of battery life if you use the camera and mp3 player all day, like the other day i used it non stop for like 10 hours and it was almost dead at the end but that was after lots of use. like i said if you use rogers in canada withthis phone you will have to go into gsm settings and change the network to manual and to 302 370 band on that list you can not make calls from the rogers main band but you can recieve calls and txt msg and send msg. the screen is just like a Sharp phone screen it is so rich and so vibrant and the camera is so great! you can use gifs and stuff for backgrounds and they move and smooth too! you can also get a converter and play music vids and stuff on the phone when they are in 3gp format and you can watch them on the inside screen and outside. the keypad is great for texting nice and big mp3 sound is so good from speaker and when through headphones is great it is so nice and loud! the only thinkg i dont like is that you can listen to mp3 and like text or go through the menus:( speaker phone is also nice and loud! any other questions just ask!

the video is not so good.. cos its not really smooth.. as for the mp3, i guess its my music cos its very soft, softer than the original ringtones from the phone.. i bought the phone only becos of the camera quality and the big display though.. as long as i can set my favourite mp3 as the ringtone, i'm contented :) i paid S$798 for it but price will only get lower here in singapore.. but i simply love my M900!

I paid about 4300 HKD for my phone. Than customs in Canada, so in the end I would say about $800 CDN. Yes you can set your ringtone to MP3, I think I encoded mine at 112. As to video I haven't used that so can't tell you.

I agree in canada it is not well known but it is one of the most highend phone in japan! why would that change in north america! mitsubishi is just breaking thru, this brand is awsome. and their phones are so good looking and stylish unlike lots of SE phones there jap phones are nice but any where else they kinda look unfinished the jap version of se700 looks so much better and it has a rotary key and a 3D menu interface!!

I don't know why the guy have this thing against Mitubishi phones... Sure they're not an established cell phone maker. But than, a company's got to start somewhere. I went to a cellphone store the other day that sells all the new phones. The lady there asked to see my M900, she said they don't carry that in the store because it's not a popular brand. After looking at the phone she said that it's a better phone than she thought. You actually have to see this phone in person instead of just looking a pics of it to see how good it is. I would choose this over the SE700 anyday.

one of the coolest feature of this phone is the little side button that says menu and that is cuz you can access the menu from the front screen! isn't that so cool! and it comes with a headset s othat you can listen to MP3's as a mp3 player.

This phone is big, but if you compare the size to GX32 it's not that much bigger, I went side to side with my friend's GX32, if you count the antenna length than it's basically the same size... I don't find the size to be an issue since I like phones with big screens. Even the external screen is very nice and a decent size on this phone.

To transfer sound and files, just hook a card reader up to the computer and this phone comes with the SD adapter so you can just plug the mini-SD in and use it. Sound quality is pretty decent on phone calls.

If I'm not wrong the phone may cost more than SE S700. And dun forget it has a low resale value and it's 125g... quite heavy for a non-Symbian/non-PDA phone... So-so features for phones of this generation... Get the SE K700i, it's definately more worth it/cheaper, more functions, smaller, high resale value for its investment. And I dun think the 262k TFD screen is really such a great jump from the 65K phones. when compared side by side, Mit phone looks more dull. SE is definately better. 2 cents worth

M900 is strictly a 1MP phone but able to give u 2 MP quality. ok, the 2MP quality might not be good. but in order to improve the 1MP quality. u can try to take the pic in 2MP mode and then compressed it to the same size as S700 biggest pic. the quality will be better.

Wha... not bad.. US$430... its abt SGD$700... hmm.. somthing worth considering for... anyway for the mp3... typically all mp3 do not really go over the 5mb mark.. even if it is u can convert it to a lower quality maybe to 90K bits rather than the usual 128K bits.

okay. this phone came out in hong kong. It is confirmed that no bluetooth exists on this phone. I've seen pictures taken with this cameraphone compared side by side of the same scene taken with the S700i. I personally think that S700 did a way better job than mitsubishi did on the camera part. If you would be listening to mp3, even though this phone supports chinese, the phone is not able to read chinese filenames on the phone, it might be the software problem, but people are only guessing. also about the speakers that play the mp3, it's not very loud, especially for ppl that like rock. It would not be loud enough for you. However, connecting it to the HiFi, the sound BLASTS! *that's what i've read* and even to the lowest volume, it's still somewhat loud. The price of this phone is around $3800HKD, so around $430USD? so then yea. oh...about the mp3 thing, the songs can not go over 5mb. some of these are personal opinions, but up to you... just some opinions on users of M900.

The M900's display is pretty large as you can see, not very sure about it. I think I saw a picture of it with a PhotoID on the external screen, so if I'm not mistaken that feature will very likely be included. Again, if I'm not mistaken, the largest memory card size is 512MB, but that's for a normal, full-size MMC. Some phones are capable of taking full-size MMCs as well as Reduced Size memory cards, but there's no word on what the M900 supports.

Macro is a features that is found in any form of camera.. good macro means u can shoot things to a very near distance.. if the macro is not gd.. that means when u get the camera close to the subject it will get blur... if i am not wrong the lasrgest mem. for mini-sd cards is 512mb

i agree with Ash, take for example the mitsubishi 750, a phone that i nearly bought.. till my mom said no.. (thank goodness actually) nearly paid 500+ for the phone (without line) then for a 2 year plan on its release it was something like $258. now, as of today (in singapore) its going for $178 with a 2 year contract. it took only 4months to see this drop. but i think the 900 is worth $800. cause when singtel does a comparison chart between the other companies, this baby is gonna knock out the rest of the competition like samsung and sony erricson... nokia? hmph! probably win mitsubishi in the area for toopid designs. muahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Well, if you select Options while previewing the SMS (while the first 2 lines of the message are being displayed in the Inbox list of messages) you can delete it and keep on working your way down the list. The M900 hasn't been released outside of China/Taiwan yet, so nobody really knows what the system is like. However, the Mitsubishi OS has been updated since the M320 (the M350 and M750 use a newer, slightly more graphical interface) so there's no reason to believe the M900 hasn't been updated again. I find the Mitsubishi system pretty easy to use, actually. Just needs a little experimentation. Can't wait for the M900/M800 :-D

I'm presently using the M320. Its not very user friendly esp the SMS and the retrieval of names from the directory. Eg. each time I delete an old SMS from the list, it will revert back to the 1st msg on the list, and I've to scroll downwards again to get to the msg before the one that has been deleted. Very cumbersome and irritating! Does the M900 have this problem?

ehz... to Unknown, TFT is basically the best screen quality you can possibly achieve. might be ask good as a laptop screen. but the problem with this screen is that is consumes a lot lot lot lot of power. hence short batt life. but the TFD screen is able to provide the same quality but consumes less power. by the way, the 2MP phone is not really 2MP. they use 1MP ccd sensor and then using their super ccd technique to get a 2MP picture. so picture quality will be in between.

M760 is a 1.3MP sliding phone and M800 is a 1.3MP clamshell. M760 has similar fuctions as M900. M800 has limited functions and has LED display as outer casing. one of its kind in the world.

hiz v9ryu... your most welcome.. well the release of this phonee depends on which country you're looking at. if i'm not wrong some past opinions mentioned china being the first to be available at end of this month followed by Taiwan in Nov. i did my own research and some retailers (in singapore) are saying its coming out in dec. but this baby isn't coming cheap.. haha.. SG$1000 is no joke for a handphone. but i guess the design, specs and the software features will be able to make up for it. i kinda just noticed. dunno whether its a typo error but this baby has a very short talk time of 2hr15mins (typical of mitsu phones) but has a WHOPPING 500hrs of standby time... anyone can verify whether its a typo or totally true??? cause like that no need to charge my phone for 2 weeks... lol...

couldn't agree with you more, chua. also, samsung's infrared almost never works for transferring data with other phones and they have a rather complicated system. mitsubishis connect to anything and have a simpler system...except for the messaging part.

hiz V9RyU.. just looked at the specs of the D500 and our M900... k lahz.... generally m900 would lose out in terms of size and batt life. think its some trademark of japanese phones.. being big and allz... (at least for mitsu phones) but the reason why i'm going with the m900 is because its clam shell... i'm been owning candy bar phones and the screen is always getting freakin scratched damm fast... so clam shells are better that way. and also it allows for a bigger area for the screen which mitsu has successfully capitalised on that compared to other phones whereby a lot of space of the screen side is wasted. thats why u have such high end pixels compared to ya D500... ok camera wise... resolution and pixel wise, m900 clearly wins hands down. 2megapix phone is no joke... my friends are still wondering how its possible... lol... on a personal opinion, i don't fancy samsung's D500 since its those slide phones... and the screen being exposed and all... makes it look very flimsy and fragile. also samsung is a really common handphone these days... good marketing strategy... but i prefer phones that are rare.. that way ya ringtone will sound different and your phone will stand out from the rest. anyway... know that i'm biased since i'm pro mitsu and an-samsung... but i do hope that you got some good details from the comparison.

Very cool design! According to the Japanese version of this phone, there's a lid of the camera len at the back of the phone. That really help a lot in terms of protection from dust! 2.0 M pexil --- what a COOL thing!!! But.....only GSM 900 and 1800 may not be good for many people :(

You guys might want to check out this link: It's a review of the D506i. Apparently, the infrared port can function as a bar-code scanner and TV remote control, too. Damn, why are Japanese phones so damn powerful?? I hope most of the feature set is ported over, including Bluetooth and MP3 support. The M900 is based on Japan's NTT Docomo's line of D506 phone series. Can't remember if the 506 series was launch last year or this year... Most new phones from Docomo sells for 20,000 yen to abt 30,000 yen.... abt US$ 190 to US$280..... but of course that is japanese prices... the phone will never be introduce in the states and my guess is... its will be introduce this Christmas for abt US$400- US$500. Unlike popular believes.. that it has a rotating camera built in... this phone actually has 2 cameras ( one on the inside facing you - popular in Japan to take pics of yourself and use docomo's video message system.)... and one on the back of the phone protected by a slider. The camera on the back is 2MP for certain... but I'm not sure abt the camera on the inside though... Japanese version have i-Mode to surf the net... not sure if the M900 have imode or not... anyway.. its still is a kick ass phone..

well, m900 has a rotative lens. that is why when u open the phone, the lens face u. if u close it, it turn outwards so u can take picture like a digital cam. the buttons r on the side.

ain't she a beauty. i thought the m750 was already a cut above the rest of the other companies. but the m900 does shine as a superior all rounded phone. RESPECT for Japan and Mitsubishi. absolutely fabulous in terms of features. got about 4months? to save up for this baby.. ^_^ but from the picture provided, think the colour is a bit simple and plain. the m720 had a nicer silver finish. my take is that it'll look nicer with some classy colours like the m750 blue model. my last concern is the rather unusual positioning of the camera. "i've got to show the whole world my phone?". maybe mitsu has the "prevent scratching of camera lens" in mind which has the camera being protected inside the phone. ingenius.

According to this this Mitsubishi M900 is similar to another model Mitsubishi D506i, which is already out in the Japanese market. This D506i is certain a good typical Jap phone as it can take 2.2MP pics, mp3 player, and bluetooth.
