Hi Motorola Team, I have called my Moto C975 like thi: C9Parf".. Because it is perfect! And that's it. Or should the Ordination think less of it? But its frequences.. Everything is doing alright with a Mobilephone like this one and handy and smart.I would simply need to have its Drivers signed together with the Publisher's name however the Modem is ok but for its Camera and so that I could download onto my PC the photos and videos that I have here. Could you please help me about this also because in the meanwhile so very often it goes on saying "Memory/Messages Full". i egually fing problems to use motorola c975 than other motorolas, i can't set my massage oppion to what i want. it becomes combasome to me everytime i want to send massages i have to go into massage setting option and set to delivery option 'yes' you can't set it permanently with that like other 4nee.that's not all web brousing is not compatable with may net providers, meaning it doesn't except other configarations, tones are already set , u can't add any other song of yo choice in the 4nee memory unless u have memory cards. what kind of the 4nee is this. battery stand is only 30min per day. very expensive to have it. you cant enjoy it having the 4nee if it is spending more hours on the charger than with the owner. may be it is suitable for the pipo who are in the office every time.

Battery life is the worst of any phone I have owned. Threw the phone away when the speaker started hissing very often. Was a good 3G phone in 2005. But by 2009 standards, it sucks.

well to be honest the battery sucks, the joystick sucks, the size sucks but this phones sound quality will rival most new phone after 4 years. and 3G call quality is excellent. camera is ok but nothing to brag about wish it had IR or bluetooth cause the card slot is wortless without a proper input mode. can install great games too. i use one to keep at home to make 3G calls. i attached 2 more batteries from the back cover. now standby time is like 1 week or more.

I think it's quite reliable...My friend had one like it and it worked really well...It had amazing sound and he had tons of music on it...The display was also really sharp...With both an internal and an external camera, for such a low price, it was a great bargain...I didn't like that it was kinda on the chunky side though...But then again, more really great phones these days like Blackberrys are like that, so...Great buy!!...

well heres a few points that are not good on this phone. 1. the joystick will break over a period of time. 2. battery does not hold the charge. 3. and its big and chunky other than that, in 2005 this was quite good.

When its get switched of f while charging. Use the techique. 1- connect charger it will off. 2.remove charger and reconnect it and after reconnet as soon as hold switch on button, then u phone will remain on while charging.

the features are nys. yes i wud also like bluetooth in it but as the saying goes what u pay for is what u get... for a 3G fon its size is quite acceptable. luk at the n70 or the w900i there pretty bulky too.but atleast the memory is expandable. for a budget fon this is ok for me. but if u hav the money i suggest you find sumthn else.

No blue tooth is the biggest problem. It's size and weight is also a problem. The phone is Big liek a brick. Everyone that have helded it have tried to slide or flip the phone open. Then they would chuckle because they realize that it's just plain big.

you cud assign the "down" in your joystick as a shortcut to your fonbuk.how? go to settings then personalise, select homescreen, homekeys, then select down. then assign it to fonbuk. so everytime wen you press "down" on your joystick wyl in the homescreen it goes automatically to fonbuk. that's wat i did wid my fon.

go to messages then select message inbox ,once inside the inbox press the menu button (top of the joystick) then select setup. set auto clean up to NONE. same with the outbox.. to install java games from pc use your memory card and download to the root folder. you dont have to make new folders for it will just automatically detect in the "install new" under games & Apps. select the game and install. if no memory card use gprs/wap.. lots of free sites wap.gamejump.com or wap.getjar.com. just copy the file codes from the net and when using wap simply typ the file code and it will automatically download and install.games are free. data charges apply to your network rates for gprs/wap

try looking for compatible chargers like the V300 or V551. i have one that isnt really for the C975 but works fine.. also find one that has the same output current as your charger 1.5A most hav 800mah or below which when charging turns off your c975.

hey guys ive been using this fon for quite some time.i have some tips to save battery life.wished it had bluetooth or infra but anyways it still can be connected to the pc 1.adjust the brightness in your setting to 0 or 1 2.adjust the display time out in your setting to the lowest. 1min i think 3.adjust the backlight to the lowest 5seconds i think 4.turn off the screensavers if u dont use them im sure this can help a bit. buy a cd motorola phonetools from motorola centers for pc connectivity. hope this can help

i have moto c975 and i think it's not bad phone...he have just 4 really minus'es: 1-First is it isnt BlueTooth. 2-And IR (Infra Red). 3-He have just 3,7 mb(4~mb~). 4-And last one is that when he is charged,he hold just 12 h~. That's all.

I think this phone is a very reliable one...I love the features..The display is big and sharp and The sound coming from this phone is incredible...i can store a lot of my music on it...I belive it's a good buy for the price...which was unbelieveable by the way...This model also has an internal and external camera which is also phenominal for the price...A little on the thick side...but that is not too hard to adjust to considereing all the chunky PDAs and other phones out there...All in all...A great buy...Good bang for your buck...

Rip off.. my one doesnt ring. and wont play the games. the Sim card is currently blocked and i dont care because its crap. Im going to buy a motorola SLVR (not L6) for only �79 from the carphone warehouse. great phone at a bargain price. This phone really does suck.

nice phone... software is easy to get ..jus go to the ebay and get the software from seller Eforcity...they might have one for motorola V600, but it is ok..as soon as you get it you can just upgrade it online for free live..and then you can enjoy your phone..memory is too small, battery is too weak the rest phone is great..hey dude if you need a lot of memory why wont you carry your PC with you...it is phone to call not to keep you files in it..so phone is nice...

Well this is the best mobilke iever have used. I think it has better display than Nokia 660o. Best Camera for Video,and still photo graphy. But the main problem is that it has NO Blue tooth and Infra Red. and Battery Life. I love its display and available features.

Design - 7. Unfortunately the back cover does move around a little (VERY SLIGHTLY). The Transflash holder/slot thing literally broke off the phone. However easily replaced. The Speaker, being at the back of the phone makes it harder to place it down on a hard surface and still be able to hear the music or video. Being used to a SE T610 I keep knocking the 3G/Wap/Brower button. Other than this the keys are well shaped, both cameras and microphone position placed in an ideal position, the slight curve of the body makes it a little easier to hold. It's not the most visually appealing phone, But it isn't bad. Features - 10. (For Price paid, $149 AUD and Aus three network). Phone is feature packed, Plays .wmv .mpeg4 .mp3 etc.. Has run every java application I've thrown at it. The Transflash slot is very very useful as with the lack of bluetooth/infrared or even a datacable provides a way to transfer files to/from the device. Thankfully my phone came with a 32mb card, which I will be upgrading to 256mb eventually. Being on the three network I get a range of extra features, streaming mobile television is a highlight (Cartoon Network!) I am very happy with this phone and the entertainment aspect it gives me. Performance - 9. Despites relatively poor battery life, phone runs quite fast. Overall I'm very happy with the phone at the price I bought it for, It was the best value at the time of purchase.

This is a good phone for the price. It is a bit big but you soon get used to it. The memory is poor but it takes memory cards so that doesn't matter. The only real problem is the battery life, i have to charge it up everyday and it gets annoying.

Hey All, Well I did have a gorgeous Moto A1000 PDA phone until it was stolen and have reverted back to using this handset. The phone is fantastic considering it's only 30 quid. I've got a 1GB memory card in it and the memory problems to me are not aparrent. The MP3 player quality is good especially if you buy the offical Motorola Stereo Headset. The Screen quality is also v good for a budget phone. I've got about 400 games and 300 applications including a really funky one which allows me to view my email attachments such as .doc .xls and .ppt I dont know why so many people hate it so much, after all it's a cheap as chips phone with fuctions which are just not available on other manufacturers handets for this stupidly cheap price. I understand about the battery life because I have noticed it's a bit pants but at the end of the day the phone has cost ppl 10 quid and came with 30 quid's worth of credit, so when u look at it, what would 10 quid get you on Orange, oh wait a Nokia 3310 from about 8 years ago. So everyone needs to stop whinging about this poor little phone. I feel that many people dont understand it or may have been ill advised. I know that lots of people have complained about the menu colour scheme, well why dont u just sodding well skin it, it's not rocket science and the tools are free out there to do it. To come back about the syncing problem, I have sync'd my phone with my PC fine, and used Motorola Mobile Tools to do that, I transfered all of my contacts and my emails fine. I suppose it depends how well u can use the software though really, because you have to specify the fields for each comma seperated value in relivance to the phone which isn't too hard if u can read. Other than that, no problems, just the battery life is poor, but hey it's a 3G budget handset the battery isn't going to be fantastic and also it's a 3 year old design. So come on guys, give it a go it's really not as bad as everyone says it is. Pookster

Although the handset is relatively chunky compared to other models, size is not an issue (particularly if you have been an owner of the nokia 8800!). The phone does not feature Bluetooth or IRDA, but does however support TransFlash memory which only works out at about �20 for a 512mb chip. The joystick is a little clumsy, but you get used to it after about a day. On the '3' network, the handset enables you to manage up to five simultanious calls, which support conferencing but unfortunately not call transfer. The handset allows you to be in one or more calls and still use the phone at the same time, including scrolling through your phone book, browsing the web (although video features are disabled whilst in an active call), sending/receiving SMS messages and emails and managing your active calls. The hands-free kit is a decent quality and has a well-calibrated gain on the microphone. Calls are all carried at a decent quality on the '3' network due to the higher bandwidth on '3' transmitters. Any complains about poor call quality probably relates to the network the phone is using (note that '3' will roam to the O2 network, even though it is still branded as '3', when out of service). Video calls are surpsingly good quality with an impressive frame rate, and very easy to use. The handset is a little quiet, but this is corrected in noisy areas by plugging in the supplied earpiece/microphone and taking the volume up to full. Preloaded to the handset is a Java-based Motorola Media Player. The player is simple and stylish allowing you to manage playlists, albums and songs in an ipod-style manner. An adapter can be plugged into the earpiece socket on the handset allowing you to plug in a normal pair of stereo headphones, since the supplied hands-free is only 1 earpiece. You can get one of these adapters for about �8 from a certain purple shop renowned for useless staff or about �5 from a certain auction website ;). The phone battery life is frankly appalling and does not last a full day, but undoubtedly Motorola's excuse would be the fact that the handset maintains a constant connection to the 3G/GPRS network which is a significant drain on battery life. However, all is not lost. You can purchase 2 batteries and a desktop charger for �10 from the auction site, which is probably a better option to the shops as they charge around �25 for a single official Motorola Original battery supplied with no charger. The firmware is a substantial improvement over phones such as the Motorola V500, as any annoyances have been worked out (such as the slow menus). Texting is particularly efficient on these handsets for previous Motorola users but will most certainly take some getting used to for Nokia users and such. In conclusion, this handset will cost you about �40 on '3' with �30 credit included and is a fantastic deal. So far I have not experienced any physical faults with the handset or anything to make me regret my purchase. Indeed, the phone isn't going to be the best build quality in the world for a �10 handset, but considering the price - what are you waiting for?! (p.s. I'd grab one of these phones before '3' start gluing in the SIM cards as they plan to do with future models!)

a hopeless phone. it's extremely heavy and fat. the screen traps dust better than my featherduster. the keypad and joystick spoil easily. battery life is really bad. memory is low. the phone resets itself at random intervals. the phone freezes.

this fone is absolutely rubbish. i was so happy wen i ordered this off the orange websiate bt wen it arrived i was deeply dissapointed. i couldnt find the mp3 player, the video and camera r ok bt cud b better. I've had this phone for 11 months and it's nothing but trouble after 9 months. It's got an unreliable battery, the power cable does not connect properly, as does the USB. It turns it's self on and off at it's own accord and, i've also found the the battery cover falls off due to a loose clip. It also is to heavy and wide.

Sorry folks! We purchased four of these C975 for our company. Within two weeks we had all of them back in the shop for exchange or repair. After 2-3 returns for each 'phone (screen, software, fail to charge, keypad frozen, etc.)we decided to change them all for V975s. Since then we have had no problems. So... C975 is a piece of junk... V975 a good 'phone. Latest news is that our new Nokia 6280s will arrive today and everybody is looking forward to the upgrade!

hey, i got this phone last week and it is pimpin, this phone is so unreal, although theres no bluetooth or infrared, which doesnt matter at all unless your to cheap and stingy to use mms, the camera is awesome, memory is good even without the memory card which came free that i lost, the graphics in games are really good, the video isnt to tip top but is good enough for a phone! seeings its not a digital camera the screen is really awesome, sound quality is no1 and im sure the phone would pass with flying flags to anyones tests! the 3 network arnt so great though, broadband recepetion is uselss and trying to make video calls is horrible because you have to be right in the city to do so! horrible.......the price was awsome and the accessories are good aswell ,dont worry about anything they say about the battery, it lasts a full day with no troubles , not as good as a nokia or sony battery but thats what chargers are for isnt it? mp3 quality is great and memory cards are cheap as chips!! hi i got a motorola c975 yesterday and i have been playig around on it non stop and from what i can obtain at this point is it is a verry good phone yes it has no bluetooth or ir but who really cares the camera is great with 4x zoom the torch is veery brite the speaker is execlent and has a lot of bass in it the screen altho its only 65k its crisp and clear the phone looks nice its cheap $149au on three prepayed (aus) the memory card i have with it at the moment is only 32 meg but i can still load 20 mp3s on it if i compres it in to wma 48k 22000khz the only down side to the phone is i keep pressing the three net key instead of the hang up key but other from that its a great phone i think its great value for money come on $149 for a phone with 2 vga camera (640x480) with zoom! expandabal memory mp3 player movie player video recording its a great phone good battery life from what i can see. i highly recomend it for some one who likes listing to mp3s or watching movies but if you really need bluetooth get a e1000 altho i havent used one if they are as good as this well then its a good phone also ill be doning areview on the 6680 soon because i am getting one soon but yeah in genral its a good phone with verry verry nice sound quality worth the money and with three i found they are a good network here in melbourne australia yes the custmer servis isnt the best but hey no one is perfict and what three offor like the on the air downloading of all the stuff is good as verry usefull also if you need the program to transfer stuff to it using the cable e mail me on [email protected] and ill send it to you any way have a nice day and i sugest if you dont have a lot of money and you want a nice phone on a decent network get this phone but if you want to spend more money and get a betta one get a se z800i or a nokia 6680 but all in all good phone

I recently bought one of these, and a transflash card. However, I cannot find either the mp3 player, or a way to copy the games to/from the card or phone memory. I need to back up the games onto my PC, but the software will not let me access anywhere that the games might be stored... any ideas ?

Hey firstly i'd liked to say that this phone rocks and i think you would all agree Secondly this is the first problem i have had with this phone and hopefully somebody can email me an answer. Recently when i do a video recording it sometimes does not pick up sound and also it has this noise as if it is wind does anyone know how to fix it? I assure you that recording sound is on under the menu area. Yes the fon looks so nice and attractive, but i have some problems. one is that the phone keys sometimes would seize to work and only off key and shift key work. second problem is that on the menu, any time i try to move to another program, either shift key would not respond or if it responses then it would be roaming about the icons or programms without stopping. please help me to solve these problems. thanks.

I read from other users that the phone is heavy but I challenge any of these unsatisfied users to tell me where I can find a 3G phone weighing less than 120 grams and as thin as a Motorola V3. Video quality is one of the best and I advise any C975 user to convert their favorite video clips to MPEG4 before transferring it to the phone. Buy an original transflash card you'll get it with an adaptor and a SD Card reader free. This will avoid you to buy expensive data cable and software as the SD card reader acts as a USB disk and you only have to copy you fave music,MP3 and videos to your transflash card and you will forget this phone hasn't bluetooth. I cannot believe that Motorola actually made this phone There is a MANUFACTURING FAULT in the plastic used which makes it extremely brittle My joystick cracked after a couple of days and split apart a few days later I have no confidence in this as a business tool, the plastic is so weak I'm sure it will not stand up to daily wear and tera If it were properly made in a strong material it would be a great little entry level phone

I had a Motorola C975 for about a month. Great screen, Camera and Video. The only bad thing about the phone is that it is big, bulky and heavy. I bought it on 3 for $149 AUS yes only $149!!!. 3 better hurry up and do some major changes to their network. Very poor 3mobile reception if any and when roaming on telstra the call charges are through the roof. Please buy a 2G phone instead of a 3G phone. Now dont get me wrong the phone is perfect as it can be but the network is P A T H E T I C, plus you have to pay a $595 AUS fee if you unlock within one year of activation. By Vodafone, Telstra, Virgin or Optus!!!

i think this phone is quiet good, but if its from the network 3 you will have alot of problems. The connection is very weak, eispically if your inside. The design is OK and it also has alot of features such as mp3,video,camera etc... This phone was made in 2004 and i think it is better than the new nokia 6230i maybe not the design but the things it does. so if you get this phone on 3 change it and make the network 02 because i think that is the best. so if you are wondering to get this fone i suggest you do.

this is a very wonderful fon, to me but it saddens me that it is very hard to get the USB connectivity because of the counrty I live in. The fone is easy to use, and very affordable. Altho, recepetion sux when im inside. Its easy to get information in and out, all you have to do is set up your email inbox on the fone. takes 5 minutes, and your service provider will have detials on how to set it up. Then you can email stuff to and from your fone! Either that or get a cable. The only bad thing about this fone is that the battery life is rather short, and u have to recharge it every night or even more frequently if you play games or talk alot.

I got this phone FREE from dial-a-phone with an awesome contract, also FREE (I won something). Although it looks less attractive than my V525, the screen is better (alos better than the Nokia 6230) and the light at the back near the camera is seriously bright! It's easy to use too. As expected with a 3G phone it is large and heavy, also battery power isn't amazing but I;ve had much worse. Thing is you have to expect this with 3G as the technology is still very recent. It is also smaller in size than the new 3G Nokia, the 6680. I like this phone but I'm upgrading it for a 6680 because I really miss the lack of bluetooth or infrared. It's also a bit cheap that you don't have any games installed. It's ok for a freebie but I wouldn't but it. You can get a lot more for your money!

this phone looks like a brick weighs the same as a brick infact in is a brick. The only good thing about the phone is that you cant miss it. It has no blutooth or infared so its pretty prehistoric. The good points about this phone is that it is a suitable size for the bin. It is so ugly that i put it over the mantle piece to keep the kids away from the fire. Its impossible to navigate around the phone due to its rediculouse sized navigation button, which given the size of the phone is tiny. Only brain dead people would actually pay for this, as i got it free im not brain dead but its not even worth having for free. Battery life of a blind man on a busy freeway. My misses dildo battery lasts longer when im working away.

Personally i've been using this phone for nearly 3 months now and its working fine.Screen is alright, picture quality is of expected quality and video recording is alright. Saving and menu browsing is not as tedious as using previous Motorola phones. Doesn't "hang" like my previous Nokias. Doesn't take forever to save something. Bought a transflash card and using the phone quite happily. Only gripes are phone numbers appearing slowly after saving them (sometimes have to reboot to see), weight , lack of bluetooth and infrared. Worth the money you pay for thats if can get your hands on a good set.

A Good phone? To be honest i would always pay a decent sum for a decent phone. It was about reliability that concerned me. I see that another posting mentions the alarm clock... And i thought it was just my phone that it failed to sound on! There are a few postings that share the same problems.. eg battery life etc. If anyone wants a C975 they can have mine..... if i can find it in my bedside cabinet - thats where i have put it as it is certainly not up to the job i need a phone for. Also i do not want to lose my job either ;-)

Battery gave up on one... phone died! no.2 - Voice conversations were so bad the person the other end asked if i was using Ship to Shore Radio (NRN) which we use on our trains ! For all of you asking about software for usb, the software is already on it!!! Once you plug in the usb your computer will detect the new hardware telling you that it has found it and then it will install it automatically if you just wait a few minutes. I have xp and it installed it automatically for me when i done it. Hopefully what i have told you works.

If i have less than 10 photos stored, I can scroll through fast and easily under the pictures section but once i save more than 10, it takes a long time to scroll through and access does anyone no why? been using this phone for the past 6 months, great phone, easy to use, the Wall-paper and picture and video quality is great, but it is higly recomended that if you buy this phone to also but a screen cover, to protect the screen, and also if you want mp3 pics and better picture uploads for free, get the cable and software, and a 128 T-Flash card, all this should cost around �70, but well worth it if you want your phone to last a year with no worries or problems, another good point is if dropped, it bounces straight back up, takes about 30 seconds and the phone screen is back to normal!

This phone is great! Do not say, it's garbage, cause there's no bluetooth or irda. No bluetooth? But other features, like mp3, micro-SD cards (prev known as t-flash)... Note: that phone has 3,7MB memory, not 2MB! correct this, please! This is phone for young and clever people! We have USB - and that's enough! I just sold my motorola A1000 because I couldnt stand texting with a stylus especially when I am walking on the street, yet everything else about that phone was lovely. I highly suggest ebay for mobile phones though, many people have new phones or are phone dealers themselves who use ebay to sell more. I suggest to get this phone from ebay.

Seriously you people. I went through about only 3 pages and stopped because half of the pages are complaining about no recording, or MP3 player. Please, READ THE MANUAL. There IS VIDEO, AUDIO recording, AND the MP3 PLAYER, which produces very good sound quality.

Yes, there is mp3 player on da phone actually, its in da sounds section...u need to get a memory card to get functioning...moreover, it supports more than just mp3 files..it's also integrated wiv da windows media player (hey, i transfered my songs into da memory card through a memory card reader)...dis phones quite okay, n da sound quality is great, thgh da battery wont last long if u use da loudspeaker continuously...but hey. its a cheap phone, wiv a built in video camera (my bro uses it to shoot his skateboard stuff, in it looks clear enough)...not a bad phone at all...

I have a 300 minute package on orange with 5 megs of data for email. That was costing me over �50 per month. you can upgrade the memory to 64mb for 20 quid (a small memory card goes at the side of sim card have a look) this is at maplins or 32mb 128mb 256mb or as much as 512 mb cant rember the prices sorry this incudes a small adaptor that will enable the card to connect to your pc!! via a card reader is the place to look

I'm sorry to say this but the only way you can get Bluetooth is by the plugin adapter which I have seen on Ebay for about �25. Also, there definately is an mp3 player built in. Get the transflash card (�20 for 64mb and �35 for 128mb.. The 3 store and carphone warehouse are the only high street suppliers at the moment) and copy the mp3s to it. U can do the same with 3gp video files and jar game files. The games and videos you can get from p2p and if you're lucky enough google. I think this phone is much better than the last heap of junk (NEC e313) 3G piled onto us. If they can sort out a longer battery life, we'll be sorted for watching full length movies.

This phone does have BLUETOOTH, however you have to buy it, it only works with the headset, you cannot send files (videos, ringtones, etc) To find out where to get the headset, go to any 3G store and ask. (It has to be their one of their main stores, not a store with an '3' sighn on it) It also has MP3 and Voice Recording. DONT YOU PEOPLE READ THE MANUAL? To do the voice recording go onto 'Messeges' Then go onto 'Multimedia' or 'Email' Select it Click on 'Insert' and then you'll see a range of things to insert. i.e *Video *Pictures * * *VOICE RECORDING!!! And there you have it.

Had this phone for about 10 weeks before it started freezing for hours on end, half the buttons stopped working and the menus started scrolling of their own accord. The battery life is wack, and the videos you take can only be 30 seconds long. Going to change it today. The 3 network is also weak.

hi the c975 does not have bluetooth. to connect the phone to the pc you need a cable and the phone tool kit version 3.00 or above. if you have the older version you need to open the software and update to the newer version, as the older version does not support this phone, it will not detect it. best using windows xp

READ THIS!!! Dont listen to the other opinions on this website about this phone because they do not offer any hard facts and are simply opinions! I live in Adelaide Australia and Three coverage is excellent!! Video calls are soo good and currently Three is the only company here to offer video calling at yes, the same price as normal voice calls!!! Now these are the REAL main features that this phone has: * MP3 Player * Mono, Poly and MP3 Ringtones (Truetones) * Video Camera (supporting switching during recording) * Picture Camera (640x480) * Camera in front and back of phone * Loudspeaker * Flashlight * Internet Browser etc * 3.5MB inbuilt memory (upgradeable via TransFlash) Now the phone is great and battery life is excellent! Now I didnt expect it but the phone can play movies etc of any length! I myself loaded some Southpark Episodes onto it to watch on the train. In Australia at the moment the phone comes with a 32MB TransFlash card, Stereo Headphones and a Transflash USB adapter at no extra cost!!! When you get this phone on Three in Australia is comes with these bonus things, all those features and $75 credit ($80 if sign up online) for only $179. Now thats $99 for the phone! Come on people, excellent value! The menus are not slow and really fast. The buttons are easy to push and are well layed out and the joystick is not hard to use its very simple and effective! The only time that a menu might be a tad slow is when it is accessing the transflash card after it being removed (it needs to scan the contents once per insert!) The only bad thing about this phone would have to be the low price! Yes thats not a typo! If this phone was given a price of $600 people would not be baggin it out so much because they would not be jealous of a better phone than there Nokia even though they payed twice as much or more! This is the sweet spot of mobile phones at the moment and personally I would not need any extra features. It does not have Bluetooth but I dont use that anyway. Rating: 9/10

This Phone absolutely SUCKS. I cant believe some people are saying its good (1/100 lol). The vga camera sucks, the reception is always weak, the wap is sloe and the mp3 player has low sound quality. I had it for 3 days, thought I'd make the most of it b4 taking it back, so I tried unlocking it, but IT CANT BE UNLOCKED. If you still have the reciept, take it back - Get a sharp or a Nokia.

for anyone wondering about unlocking, I had mine unlocked today, cost me �20 at a place I know in Glasgow. Carnquay Mobile or something like that in Pollokshaws road on the southside. I currently have my o2 sim card in it with full, unrestricted net access and its pretty sweet. I seem ot have some problems getting my email to work on it, it just says "Connecting to Server" and seems to hang with no GPRs logo on activity bar like I get with I go online, so I dunno whats up with it.

Had phone for Xmas as needed one, got home and must admit Camera has some nifty features, the 2x Camera is excellent and in addition with the backlight works great. The MP3 player is superb with a 128 transflash card. (Shame no headset) In all any MP3 ch00n as ringtone is good by me. Only gripe is battery life and also no communcations link, but transflash has an SD card adaptor so just use it on my card reader on my PC and hey presto Movies, Mp3s on me phone. Good Buy in general, maybe a bit weighty but hey for the price and the features i cant knock it. Now its time to get it unlocked and enjoy it even more.

Craig - the phone DOES playback mp3's. Also, it DOES NOT have infrared. I have read that with a certain Motorola accessory cable (purchased separately and not yet widely available), the C975 will have a direct USB connection to a computer. Very convenient - especially for phone/PC synchronization. But you can get an indirect USB connection to a computer by taking the transflash memory card (also sold separately) out of the C975, and plugging it into a USB adapter which comes with the transflash card. For enough space to store a sufficient number of mp3's or anything else, you will need to buy the transflash memory card! I have a 32Mb card at the moment because it was cheap, but I have heard they can go up to 256Mb in size. To swap content in and out of the phone to your computer (Windows XP is probably required) you take the transflash card out of the phone (remove the battery, and then the transflash card) and plug it into a card reader that came with the transflash kit. This plugs into the computer with a USB socket. After doing it twice or three times, it is easy to do it in less than 30 seconds. A minute or so after plugging the USB card reader into the computer, it should appear as an extra drive on the computer and then you can copy videos and photos you recorded on the phone to your computer, and also copy mp3's etc, from the computer to the phone. On my phone the translash card has a main directory called "mobile" with subdirectories called "audio", "picture" and "video". Just copy the mp3 files from your computer into the "audio" directory and they should playback on the phone. You can also set an mp3 file to be a ringtone as well. But Motorola recommends a length of less than 30 seconds for an mp3 to be used as a ringtone. However, do not expect a very loud signal to come out of the headphones. For that you may need some kind of amplifier built into the headphones. I find it almost adequate however. In a busy shopping mall it is harder to hear above the din. You may want to get the E1000 which is a classier more expensive version of this phone - it MAY have better sound, check your phone shops. If you have the capability to make your own mp3's, I would recommend using a low bitrate of around 56kbit/sec, because the phone sound ain't exactly hifi. You won't notice the difference. You will get a lot more mp3's on there. With a 32Mb transflash you should get around 70 - 80 minutes (one CD's worth) of mp3's at 56kbits/sec. With a 128Mb card you can get around 5 hours worth. And amazingly - with the 128Mb card, you could also fit around 4 hours of the video that the phone can record - it's small - lousy quality video, but pretty useful to have anyway. It's great to be able to have any video at all!

I bought the C975 in Sydney Australia, on the 3 network. Cost me about $249 au + $20 au for 32Mb transflash card + $20 for a carry case. I still need a decent car kit though. The connection deal is a minimum of $10 per month for 24 months with a minimum of $195 extra spent (up front or accumulated from the monthly payments) to unlock it. You get what you pay for with this phone. You may not have bluetooth, you don't have immediate USB access for PC sync unless you buy the software + cable connector - HOWEVER - the phone is very feature rich. Using the USB transflash adapter to transfer files is easy. All that is required to swap files to and from the PC is a simple operation to pull out the battery and the transflash and place it in the adapter. I can record many many photos, and I can record multiple 3 minute videos. The videos record at a bit rate of around 60-70kbits per second at 15 frames per second. This gives you around 2 minutes for each megabyte of transflash card space used! The quality isn't too fine, but it certainly is a neat tool to have at your disposal. With a 128Mb card you should be able to record around four hours of videos (unless there is some limitation on the number of video files). For high quality image quality though, you'll have to pay more. But I would prefer to have available something that does a medium job for a low price. You get what you pay for. What I like most about this phone is the mp3 playback, torch light, dual camera's, video recorder/playback, the speakerphone, and the browser. Call sound quality and microphone range is good too. And it does look good, in my opinion. Things I would like improved in a future OS release - the ability to increase video frame rate, and be able to select higher bit rates for better quality/larger video files. The ability to record sound only would be nice, and probably a beefier battery which may be larger and weigh more, but would double the battery life. I would also like to be able to enable/disable the speaker phone before making a call. And I guess I would like louder mp3 playback through the earpiece too - but that would increase power consumption I guess. But I think Motorola have a very nice and useful phone in the C975. Well done Motorola.

I have one of these, was a xmas present, Im generally pleased with it except one thing, If u make video calls its difficult to see the screen as u have to tilt the phone to get into shot of the camera and the screen completely looses its brightness at this angle! Other than that �45 with �15 airtime, its still a bargain!!!!!!!

This phone ends up costing nearly �100 unless you already have a 128mb Trans Flash memory card which is at least �20 and then you have to buy the cable connecting the phone to the PC with the driver which is at least �30. So it ends up costing about �95 which you wouldnt expect to pay. I couldnt really find any pro's on this phone except the misleading price, the triband feature and the option of swithching to the front and rear cameras on video capture and taking a photo. There are alot of cons. Firstly, no where in the manual or was it advertised it said you have to buy the cable and driver separetly unlike it did with the memory. 128mb is the max you can get which really wont last that long if you save alot of hi-res pics and mp3's. Video capture is only 9 seconds which i suppose most phones do at the moment. The stiff joystick starts to hurt your thumb if you use it too much. The weight and thickness is massive but it does have an mp3 player and camera in it. Texting is annoying. You can't turn on delivery reports. With regards to some questions. it doesnt have an infa red port. Like I said video is 9 seconds which isnt enough time to record something. I got this phone yesterday and it is going back ASAP. In my opinion if you dont want a contract but a decent pay as you go phone on the 3 network then you will have to wait longer. The LG U8120 is at least �150 on pay as you go which is alot. Get the Sony Ericsson Z1010 or any other Sony phones as there all good or get the Nokia 6820 or 6610i which is only �99 on O2 and it is a good easy to use phone with good features. P.S. I will never get a Motorola phone again.

Agree with 99% of these opinions. Motorola have manufatured a phone to compete with Nokia, but are ending up having trouble with sendo. This phone bites. I cant believ the fearures are a rip off. i have just got this mobile and i have had to take it back because it is constantly coming up with no signal. the phone features are amazing and i do recomend this phone! i am hoping that the signal problem isnt to do with the make of the phone and i am hoping it was just a one-off. I am exchanging it for a new one! i got it from woolworths for �44.99 with �15 airtime included in it! I got this phone on 3 network and its pay as you go. The only bad thing that i would say about this phone is that when you go on pay as you go your credit expires after 30 days so you have to top it up every 30 days. The least amount of money on a top up voucher is �15 so if you do not use all of this you will loose out on money! over all i give this phone 8/10

My sister purchased this phone. I personally think it Reaks, the sound quality it very weak, it has not got changeable faces, I've read that the Camera lens is easily damaged, and all round, my sister dislikes the phone aswell. Take my Advice, Sony Erriccsenmn t610 is muchj better. OK So all the features is not there but Sony has the BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY. Motorola Does not. This Phone is an absolute shamble. I've owned it for 2 months and had so many problems with it. First I buy the phone and it is difficult to use, plus the features are not up to scratch, and the vga camera is weak.Then I find out it has no Bluetooth and no IR port. Then I purchaase the software for it and it does not identify my phone. And lastly I buy the Memory Card (The phone, when purchased has 8 MB, so a Memory Card is required), and there is no pojt because sometimes, the phones states 'Svae not accessed/Moved file not accessible' It is a right shamble, and I need a new phone. Anyone selling a Nokia or a Sharp Cheap. They're the only Phones I have no Problem with!

i got the c975 for 30 quid + 15 quid top up on 3pay, my a835 after sitting in a full sink, then covered in beer and then coffee and finaly skidded on it as it fell out of pocket and died, so got a c975, the data cable from the a835 fits, got phone tools programe update for it for free on web, apart from crap camera and weak ringtones and rear cover it works well, size is ok, much smaller than a835, screen is good as is reception sound, i have put a contract sim in and will sell other with 15 quid on so for 30 quid i am happy. got 128mb card for a tenner so even better now quote mobile man " P.S. I will never get a Motorola phone again." thats what i said a few years ago, but have had a couple over the last 10 months and the wife has a moto clamshell which is 3 years old but she is happy with it and it has never gone wrong, so keep an open mind as you never know you might end up eating your words

First impressions were that this phone is a bit bigger and heavier than most phones but then I realized, "hey, that's becuase this does a lot more than most phones". So far I am happy with it, it does what it says it does, memory expansion does cost but you can get SanDisk 128mb TransFlash for little over �15 over the web. Don't go to the Three or Motorola website, it's quite obvious that they will overcharge. I guess I could ask for more, but not at this price! �45 + �15 top-up is unbelievable, I spend more on take-out meals in a month!!

what r u lot on about, for �65 with �15 credit, you get a twin camera with multimedia player (mpeg4 and wmv which, for alot of phones is a feature which they "have" but doesn't work) and expandable memory. and, as for the review about the video length, just go on settings and change it to max, then the viseo lasts 30 seconds and is recorded in mpeg4.

Dont let anyone tell you that this fone is great. I hate it. Dont make the same mistake and buy. It is cheap because it is not very good. The ringtones are weak and the vga camera also isn't bery good. The Menu functions are hard to navigate and it does not have BLUETOOTH, which is the technology that should be on every phone. Got it today and very happy with it, The e616v and z1010 aren't much smaller than this in the folded position and about just as thick. Plus those aren't tri-band which makes them next to useless if you travel a lot esp to the US. I personally hate flip phones, more moving parts more potential problems. Cheap user friendly phone witha lot of features

mmm this phone is $179 in australia on 3 prepaid, no competition to a e616v or z1010, it has features but it cant compete with a sony ericcson, they are so much better than motorola. phone looks chunky to and whoever said it was the same size as a s700i, it isnt exactly a small phone. thought it is superb

its a C series phone,i doubt it will be very expensive.Traditionally C series phones are budget phones.This looks good.motorola is putting good features in a budget phone.can't argue with mp3 player AND a memory slot

Great phone, small for 3g. Good functions as a lowe-end phone. In 3g there wont be a better batery time in a long time. I will buy this phone when he will arrive @ market. If it will cost too much, ill take E398 ;-)

hey you're right nasa, i agree. these are the major flaws of moto phones. 1. must have delivery report for sms 2. must have more than one character search phonebook 3. must not more than 2 hours for fully normal chargeup without these flaws, my e398 will be better.

the C975 is pretty big for a mobile phone but has interesting functions like videoconference where is posible ,has a video camera but at night is verry bad,the screen is big and have a great resolution. my opinion is that is a good phone for bussines because have interesting functions but is big for street mobile phone

I think someone is getting too enthus... for Moto. E365 has a good quality of display but there is not much related functions attached with such good features. Same for C975, it was just another version of MP100 or an upgrade function. Good spec and price but the qaulity ...doubt it....Let's see then

I am not used to Motorolla's controls and whenever i wanna configure something, it really gives me a headache! besides.. i think motorolla isnt up to standard but they just flood whatever latest features so that to make the phone look good... Lastly... i would like to call this the SMALLEST 3G PHONE in the market right now.

Hi out there!! asd!! Motorola doesn't suck!! Still a head of Sonyericsson!! SonyE is a good company but there phones are not good as Motorola!! Compare the Motorola E365 and the SOnyE T610!! The Camera quality and the display of Moto E 365 is 10 times better than the SonyE T610!! T610 has more features than E 365 and it is in an upper class and has a stunning look, but Still doesn't have the basic needs of a good camera phone!! "Camera resolutuion and the Display" What do you say??? Compare these too!!
