I've owned a lot of phones. Not because I always have to have the latest generation smart phablet with a fingerprint reader and nacho cheese dispenser, but because I'm exceptionally hard on electronic devices. If it has a flip screen or a pop-up doohickey or a removable battery I've probably owned it and broken it. As a point of comparison, my laptop, which is almost 8 years old, has no keyboard, a half-dead touch pad, dead USB ports and probably is leaking mercury from the cracks in the screen, but it still runs. I'm THAT hard on electronic devices. But not this little chunk of plastic and glass. It has survived everything I've thrown at it for over 4 years. Drops, trips through the wash, 40 below zero temperatures and even an attempted theft. Worst thing that happened to it was a broken screen because I, in my infinite hubris. tried to balance it on my finger over a concrete step. A few bucks spent online on parts and tools and even that wasn't a debilitating condition. So yeah, this is probably the single best phone I've ever owned, in terms of value for your money. I paid $100 bucks in 2015 for it, and it survived everything I threw at it. Battery life was respectable, touch screen was responsive to my chunky fingers, and it's camera is decent enough that I used it to snap crime scene photos in a pinch once. It ain't going to walk your dog or render a Triple-A gaming title, but for us folks who need a phone that can text, watch YouTube or snap a picture of the jerk who nearly ran you over at a crosswalk, this phone is, in my opinion, the single best phone ever made. But the astute reader may note the use of past tense, as indeed it has given up the ghost. Given the ease of which I replaced the screen, I may dive into it and try to Frankenstein it back to life once more. If there isn't a triumphant "IT LIVES!" posted in a few weeks, it may have been too far gone to save. Either way, though, this phone is top-tier in my books. I doubt I'll ever find one half as tough as it.

Maybe the caller speker malfunction? Use recording app, record voice and play it, if you cant hear it too, it means your mic. Clean dust which block it. Motorola hardly has malfunction hardware

I had this phone for 3 years and uses android 6. it works great and fits in my pocket wherever I go. I use it for phone, text, and a few apps for free internet call and video when I am at home. I added a 32 GB SD card to extend the internal memory, which is more than necessary as apps usually install on internal memory and not SD.To increase internal memory just disable the apps you do not need and that will give you a few hundred MB extra. Learn how to clean your cache and all other garbage in the phone. They are in several locations in the phone.

Still a great phone. I now use it as a backup, and have also turned it into a surveillance camera. I use it on trips as a wifi hotspot. I love the size because it's so much smaller than my primary phone. It doesn't take up much room.

This budget phone is still very solid to this day. I've used mine for 3 years now and it still works great. It's even better if you install a custom ROM and put a 32gb microSD card in it. And the kicker is that you can buy one used for less than 30$, so you can easily replace it if it breaks.

This phone was great for a few years but I would now call it obsolete. I'm a bit clumsy and dropped it many times and it never broke (I did have it in a plastic case). It handles all the basic functions fine. In 2018 the major issues are lack of internal memory (severely limits the apps you can download since many will not install on the SD card) and being stuck on an earlier version of Android (incompatible with some new/upgraded apps). I like moto as a company and will probably upgrade to one of their newer models. Would be nice if this lasted for 5 years instead of 3.5, but honestly that's not bad.

I got this phone for my birthday 3 years ago, it is a great phone to have, the only problem I have is a lack of storage space and gaming speed, other then that, it is a great phone to have. P.S: after 3 years I started to get battery problems such as it instantly dies as 80%, now for me it dies at 95%, it takes about 30 minutes to get to 95%. Even though it took about three years for these problems to start. This is a great simple phone to have. I recommend the moto G6, it is a 2018 phone, $250, and great in every way.

Warrior even being of low value. Today is already out of date, I would like the latest android, but I do not know if it would support. But I liked it, it had the 4G version of 16Gb and it worked very well during the time I worked with it, I only felt lack of RAM at the time, I believe even the Low End can come with a bit more RAM.

Don't believe it when it says in the specs that the OS can be upgraded to 6.0 Marshmallow. After buying this phone I discovered that is not true in the US , ( it is true for other countries though.) That was one of the main reasons why I purchased this phone, so I could upgrade it later. Apparently the carriers have decided not to have the US be able to upgrade these phones to the next OS :(

I've had this phone for a year or two. Everything has been great up until now. The internal space isn't enough, and the camera sucks. I do alot of outside chores and have dropped it many of times on the concrete, the phone is still going strong. No cracks. Lately it has been freezing up on me and not holding a charge. Other than that I have been very pleased with the phone, it's just time for an upgrade for me.

I think this phone is really great. I got mine free as part of my package with the phone company. I don't do gaming so that is not an issue for me. The thing I like about the phone is that it feels solid and tough. I have dropped it many times without any damage. I use it to work as a courier for Deliveroo in all weathers and temperatures and it never lets me down. It can only handle a number of apps due to the memory limit but that is not an issue for me. Everything else it does well; Netflix, YouTube, shopping online etc

Used to have this but upgraded to the Moto g4 play recently, the Moto E 2nd gen sucks for gaming, which is what I do all day. I would only recommend this phone for if you can't find a flip phone or wanna watch YouTube. Anything else really and you will probably want to get a better phone.

The best thing about this phone is its small form factor. It easily fits in your trouser pockets. The worst thing is the small internal space. Once you’ve installed a number of apps, you’re constantly battling for space, even after inserting an extra sd card, since not all apps can use it and may need lots of data (looking at you, spotify!). Performance is mediocre to adequate. When switching between apps, the lack of RAM (1gb) really hurts. Price is low, so price/performance is good, but only buy this phone if you can live with its drawbacks.

5GB is not very much at all (most phones come with at LEAST 16GB). The 1GB RAM makes it really slow, but it works as a good first smartphone for kids. I've had mine for two years and it crashes all the time now though. I think it's time to upgrade.

Previously i was using htc incredible s which i purchased arround 24k.The best thing about this phone is,it's size. U won't ever feel that u r carring a book sized phone in ur pocket.its handy phone and can acess/use the entire phone for hours with just a single finger,i mean ur thumb can access from top to bottom of ur screen. When it comes about lagging n performance.then u won't have any issue regarding this.ya u won't play high graphics games but for general purposes its the best phone. Other thing is about the brand value... u will get service center at any corners of country.

I like it. Purchased it used but looks new. Had for 10 months and no problems so far. Did have to add microSD card for additional storage for my music. Mainly use it for YouTube, weather, directions, texting/talking, streaming music or playing mp3's. Works great for my needs. I'm not sure I would purchase it if I was in to mobile app gaming as it seems a tad bit sluggish when opening apps and browser but that may be due to Norton Mobile Security running on it. I still use a flip phone as well and actually prefer it when talking with or without my Bluetooth headset.

Awesome phone for the price. Bought this phone 2 years ago. I was looking for a small phone I could comfortably carry in my pocket. Performance is slow, but it's great if you only use it for calls, txt and email. Netflix and YouTube also work great. Recently started using Instagram and I realized that exceeded this phone's capacity, so I'm going to upgrade. Also tried to use Facebook, but again, that app exceeds this phone's capacity. In short, I recommend this phone if you don't use Social Media.

Press the on/off button and volume button simultaneously for a minute or mor. Then you will get a scree with lot of technical info and keep the cursor on. Youwill get BOOT MODE SELELCTION AND START WITH NORMAL POWERUP MODE. Your phone will be unlocked.

I've also had this problem with this phone. The real issue is that the band is loose on the phone and doesn't stay on after a while so what I did is took a small piece of clear scotch tape and wrapped it around the side of the phone tightly where the SIM card is. Hope this helps.

The only solution for this phone is press master reset option from your phone after saving your valuable data in your memory card and use it. It will work fine. You cannot expect i phone performance from this phone.

I have had this phone for just over a year. I have enjoyed it and it has worked perfectly until 2 days ago. I noticed my phone would get really hot even while not in use, then I noticed the display setting was stuck on full brightness. I have tried everything from brightness apps and dimming apps and a couple factory resets. My battery after fully charged only lasts 2 hours. Pretty disappointed. I know this is kind of a budget phone but I always get budget phones lol and they usually last a few years before I have to replace.

That LED is for battery charging only by default. For some reason, the genius at Motorola believe LED notification was useless. For it to work, you can flash LineageOS which will void the warranty however. As far as I can tell, the only feature that doesn't work is panoramic camera.

Basically the E version (2016) is an affordable version of the G (2015). It is updated slightly lower end for example the camera specifications. I think the E version is mostly made for calling - it has 4G but I wouldnt rely on the camera or do so much internet on it (fear of over heating/battery life). The G is ruggedly built for everything. As far as I know both models are fast. MOTO G 3rd - keeps up with iphone 5/6 for speed/processing and is WATERPROOF/SPLASHPROOF. I suspect the G holds charge for longer too. There have been quite a few issues with the battery/charging port/sim pins on G4 models (not sure if this is down to the user). So G is in competition with iphone, many of which fail with water damage/cant take pics in certain conditions. - I hope this helps!

This phone, in all its variants, supports 3G. No idea what phone you've got, but if it doesn't support 3G then it's not this phone. Either you have configured something wrong, it doesn't like your sim for some reason, it's broken or you've got the wrong phone.

I have been using Moto e2 for one year till now. I am really happy with its performance. For those who are looking forward to buy it I would definitely recommend this mobile. It is water splash proof. I used it many times to listen song while i was in shower. Its Gorilla glass is also amazing. Not a single scratch in the screen during this whole year. Even if its battery capacity is average but still it lasts for the whole day During this whole year, only once I faced a software problem which easily got corrected after updating the software. So just update the initial software which came with the device and you will be free from any software troubles. Moto e2 has two varients one with 4g volte other without this facility. Please buy the one with 4g lte facility to use Jio SIM.

Hate it, Hate it, Hate it!!! For the 11 mths I have had this phone, it has been operational 5 mths!! Locks up & over heats. Have had to factory reset many times & also sent back to Cellular one's Warranty Dept to be fixed. I like Motorola, have had several of their phones, but this one is horrible. I was also told by the sales clerk that I am not the only one who has had trouble with this phone. Trying to find a different phone w/out an internal battery that doesn't cost me an arm & a leg. Very glad this sight is here so you can see the specs before you buy a phone.

JIO sim will not work in any case in XT1506 which is 3G only handset. JIO is 4G only network. Meaning it doesn't works on GSM frequencies like how other providers do.

This phone has 2 versions- normal and LTE. I don't know which one you got. But in either case any sim will work for phone call ( non Volte) and normal phone functions. Only in case of normal version,4g will not work. In case if you don't get any connectivity,you need to contact service centre. It seems like other technical problem.

I think the capacity is the issue. I have a Samsung EVO Class 10 UHS-I, and I have experimented some random stuttering when playing o listening music. But all problems are fixed when I change to my cheap 16gb sdcard.

Very good quality. Corning glass, big battery last long, upgrade to Android 6, and water resistant! I dropped it into lake water by accident for 5 second and picked it up, fully functional no problem. Even the spec say only water repellent..

I've had this phone since it came out, the only issues I've got with it are.. - 9/10 my pictures wont load in my gallery -When I use messenger on facebook it won't let me see pictures or forward them. -A picture can be loading fine on my phone but when I try to upload it somewhere it says the picture is unavailable. -As of late it has become very slow and laggy and the battery is draining a lot faster [My brother has had the same Iphone 4s for several years and the drain didnt start happening until recently.] -If you try to transfer things to the SD Card they stop working all together so you have to reinstall it to your phone. I have used 4 different SD Cards and it all did the same thing. Keep in mind though, you get what you pay for. I wasnt expecting much but this has lasted me longer than any other phone I have ever had, minus my motorola Razr (Which I still have). I have dropped it in water, down a flight of cement stairs, dropped it in the snow (on my way to school it fell out of my pocket in a foot of snow and I didnt get it until about 8 hours later). To this day, no cracks or any other damage. I'd recommend this phone 7/10 times. If you want a phone for the basics (calls, emails, web surfing) this is a great and durable phone.

Well I think I found a solution for this. After you insert your Class 10 SD card, use it as portable. Not internal. Your 8GB internal storage won't extend though. So apps you can install are limited. I'm using the LTE version and it's perfectly fine. Long battery life and no problems at all with Android 6.0

Moto E2 3G. Long pressing on individual SMS message yields "Choose Action" or occasionally "Message details." The standard menu 'Message Options' with the 'Delete' function is not displayed. Problem is particularly pronounced on text messages with numbers or links. The phone either interprets these as phone numbers and launches the Phone app or it sees them as internet links and wants to launch Google Chrome. If all conversations are kept then the phone will get clogged and create storage problems. If whole conversations are deleted, some useful sms texts will be lost. Therefore the ability to delete individual SMS texts needs to be restored. Clearing the cache doesn't work. I took my phone to Motorola as it was within warranty. They did a software renewal which they claimed was much more thoroughgoing than a factory reset. Consequently I lost my SMSs and Contacts. The latter were recovered through Google.. I had done a backup of SMSs and Contacts in my SD Card using Easy Backup and Restore. Easy Backup and Restore, when reinstalled after the 'software' could not restore the backup. Nothing was visible in the SD Card and the SMSs were lost. Motorola had warned me in advance of loss of data. As to the SMS deletion problem, it was moderated but continues with many messages with embedded numbers, often refusing to display Message Options on long pressing the SMS. This appears to be a problem provoked by Android Lollipop 5.1 and Motorola's implementation of it. The problem was provoked by the upgrade from Lollipop 5.0.2 to 5.1.

I like the moto E 2nd generation. People are too into specs. For $50-$60 it's a good deal in my opinion bc it comes with lollipop 5.0 and 4G LTE I mean most prepaid phones don't have that and if they do its not both. So for a low budget phone I give it a 5 star. The camera isn't great but it's not bad. I've seen worst cameras. The screen and text is still pretty crisp

I have had my Moto E 2nd gen 4G LTE now for a couple of weeks. I mostly use my phone for texting, calling and whatsapp. I traded my low end Samsung for this phone. Shortly after getting the Moto E I updated to Marshmallow. I have been impressed by the smoothness of the phone, it seamlessly goes from one app to another. Voice quality, that some have criticized I honestly think it's quite good. The camera is good, although not family album worthy, for that I have an SLR. The battery is impressive as well, lasts me anywhere from a couple of days to more than that. I don't use it often for email or browse but haven't had any issues there. The quality of the screen resolution is very good, as is the shell with a matte rubberized feel that I particularly like. For the price of this phone, I don't how you could do better.

Nope I was in an area with 4 pokelures and no crashes, and no crashes when battling in gym, you just dont have the AR video catching mode but thats it and to download pokemon you have to go to apkmirror. Cheers good luck

Very surprised to see the large amount of negative reviews. I actually got this phone for free! Somebody donated it to charity as it had a smashed screen, but many charity shops cannot sell electronics so I am one of several people that go into the stores once or twice a week, chuck them a fiver or small donation and they hand me a box of electronics they aren't legally allowed to sell, that way the charity still manage to benefit that way. Regardless, that's how I got it, and even if it wasn't free, I would happily spend £50-£70 brand new I think. I was using an iPhone 4 so to upgrade back to an android was a dream!! It can be a little laggy and slow but it's all down to the owner of the device and what stuff is installed and downloaded and what's running etc etc. Point is; if the CPU is looked after (storage/memory/ram etc) and you don't slam it, it's a lovely little android and runs nicely. I can run a PSP emulator with high details games with almost perfect graphic/detail levels at about 75% speed, whereas so many people can't get certain games above 38% (such as.. Tomb raider anniversary) and I can run tomb raider legend at 100% perfect speed. Therefore= good phone ^_^

All five of my phones slip off and fell onto tile yesterday morning. I noticed my LG G3 Beat does have a tiny crack on top but screen is flawless. It was only a 1.5 ft drop but the Moto E2 and Lumia 640 came out unscathed. It was almost like it never happened when they hit tile face first. BUILT TO LAST over built to look good. I am telling folks right now, durability and perfect ergonomics matters more than just pure aesthetics. A pretty but fragile phone doesn't mean much in the long run. A great design doesn't need a case because they shouldn't crack like eggs. The pioneers, Motorola and Nokia are still ace with durability and price value. Don't buy into metal design that dents and chips off. Only for fashionista suckers. Rubberized plastic is more practical for impact. Moto E2 has the perfect structure for me. Rubberized sides that are replaceable. When it hit tile, a bounce effect. Doesn't dig into our palms either with sharp, boxy edges like an iPhone 4 or 5 series would. The ergonomics are more perfect for me than an iPhone SE or 6s since the height is perfect. This is a great phone and my current favorite because it is fast, comfortable to hold, and long battery life. If it ever gets stolen or lost, it was only $30. *shrugs* Not like spending $600+ for a stupid glass phone that breaks easily. Plan to get iPhone 7 or 6se (whatever they call it), but I doubt it will top this Moto E2 which has 64gb inside as my fav. I just prefer Android more than iOS. And iPhones make terrible media players since limited video codec support, no file manager, heavily reliant on iTunes, no torrent apps, etc. Loving Motorola again! Moto E2 is the best sub-$100 Android phone you can buy in the U.S. next to the ZTE Zmax 2. Most comfortable phone to hold for me since my Nexus One...

A lot of apps don't show up in the app store (device not compatible) but I just use APKPure to download the app I want and they all have ran just fine. (Yes, even Pokemon Go.) Actually you can play Pokemon Go! I caught several on my Moto E 2nd Gen LTE. Any crashes and freezes are most likely the game itsel. As of now the game is buggy, even on high end device.

After seeing the specs of the Moto E3 which seems no different than the Moto G4 Play, I appreciate the E2 a little more especially for its height. PERFECT SIZE for me. E3 has same SoC as the E2 4G. For comfort and height, I prefer the E2. The E3 is 144mm tall. E2 is not too tall or too short. It just rest so comfortably in my hands like the 2013 Moto X and G. Not boxy like the iPhone 5 series. Ergonomics, value, and battery life for its size is a 10/10. I have the AT&T 4G model although the Verizon one is faster for me to unlock. Best $30 phone I ever bought from Best Buy. I love this phone!

I agree with the battery life. Look at GSM Arena's endurance rating and it is at 82 hrs while iPhone SE is at 73 hrs. Those numbers are skewed for talk time. But Moto E2 still shines with over 12 and 13 hrs for video and web. And this site is very accurate. I took a screenshot and got 12.5 hrs SOT browsing mostly, streaming, and some videos. That's insane. This is truly one of the best phones I ever had. It also has the best Wi-Fi range for me surpassing my Xiaomi Mi 3. I love the rubberized back, shape, and comfort in my hand. Perfect size for one-handed use but with a "4.5 display where I can still type fast using SwiftKey. One of the favorites ever for me when it comes for speed, value, battery life, and ergonomics.

It charges very slow with the charger it came with it. I use my ASUS tablet/hybrid adapter which isn't quick charging by any means. But it charges much faster than the charger that came with the phone. The only two things that sucks with the phone is the camera and voice quality especially on our end. I sound muffled everytime I speak on it. And obviously the camera can't even compare a Lumia 640. No flash and probably only on par with an iPhone 3Gs from 2009 in terms of quality. Everything else with the phone is very good though. I love the size and ergonomics of it. Very comfortable to hold in one hand while still being able to text fast with its 4.5 inch display. Where I live it rains alot, and good to know its coating has splash resistance. It also feels very smooth and fluid. One of my favorite phones to use at the moment. If it ever gets stolen, I only paid $29.99 for it. Get it before they discontinue it like what is happening to the Lumia 640 that isn't available at Best Buy or Walmart anymore. One of the best sub-$50 phones ever made.

FYI, it states supporting up to 32gb but it can read my Transcend 64gb micro-sd with no problem. I prefer my Lumia 640 before but starting to like this Moto E2 a tad more because I prefer Android for texting (SwiftKey), surfing (Opera Mini, CM Browser), and video playback (MX Player). My Lumia excels far better in hardware especially camera and phone voice quality. That's the two main weaknesses with this cp. Muffled sound when I speak on the mic and the camera is nothing special perhaps being only on par with the iPhone 3Gs or 4 from 6-7 years ago. But if you want an offspring of the first gen Moto X (SD S4 Pro) and Moto G (SD 400) from 2013, the Moto E 2nd gen would be it. It has an sd slot that those Motorolas didn't have and packing a bigger battery only needing to power a "4.5/540p display in a thick but compact body. This little cp is superior to the first two gens of the Moto X and G in many areas. If I traveled back in time to 2011, I would take this $29.99 Moto E2 over any flagship released that year including the iPhone 4s, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus, HP Pre 3, Nokia N9, BlackBerry Bold 9900, etc.

I just got this Moto E 4G a couple nights ago and I am pleasantly surprised by it. I didn't think it would be as good as my other three phones including the Lumia 640 which I also got for $30. But it is very fast and smooth. The camera is pretty average and nowhere as good as the Lumia 640 but I use a different camera app to get it to focus more. I like the screen better than expected even woth only 245 ppi. While my other phones are at 25% during indoors and night, my Moto E is quite bright and is at 10%. Battery life is also fantastic. I can easily get 10 hrs SOT. The way I customized it using Nova Prime with Circle animation, the phone doesn't seem to lag and just feels buttery smooth. Love its size and ergonomics too. Camera - 7/10 Call quality - 7/10 Loudness - 8/10 Display - 8/10 Battery life - 9/10 User Experience - 9/10 Value - 10/10 This is a very good phone, folks. 8/10 overall. Beats every iPhone before the iPhone 5 and worth the price if you can get it for $30 like me. Not quite on par with the Lumia 640 on camera, but the best Android close to that WP price range. Just too bad nonremovable battery.

Had one for a week, then I returned it. Bezels are way too big, touchscreen sensitivity is bad (I had a lot of typing errors while typing fast, some keys weren't registred no matter how hard I pressed on the screen) and the speaker quality is very bad. But the battery life is very good and the phone feels good in the hand. I bought a Lumia 640 LTE at the same price after that and I'm a lot more happy with it. I only looked for the cheap 4G phones, so both were the 4G versions (on Moto, the 4G has a more powerful SD410 chipset).

In the US, it is available for $29.99 on Best Buy and Walmart in-store or online sites. Microsoft Store also sells it at that price. I was lucky to get both AT&T's Lumia 640 and Moto E 4G for $29.99 at Best Buy. Two nice phones for $60 total that can last a couple years for me. The Moto E did go back up to $49.99 for the AT&T but the Verizon one goes for $35 and is faster to unlock using the Network app. I gave the Verizon Moto Es to relatives but decided to go AT&T Moto E because the branding isn't as ugly and it only takes three days for an unlock approval from AT&T.

Yup. Same here. I got both AT&T models for $30 each. Amazing what we can get for $30 these days. There is no question the Lumia 640 is superior to it especially with camera, signal strength, and call qiality. I keep it as my #1 or #2 option while my Moto E will be a 3rd or 4th stringer. The few things why I got a Moto E 2nd gen is because it is Android. I prefer my Nova Launcher Prime, TubeMate, MX Player, Quick Pic, torrent apps like Flud, SwiftKey, and so on. I love the Textra app which replaces my default text app. It isn't a totally worthless phone because I do prefer Android over WP. And I live in a city where it rains alot, so splash resistance and the small compactness of it can be very useful for me. Versus Lumia 640 or even the $100 ZTE Zmax 2, I think Moto E 4G doesn't compare. But it has its virtues too like a clean Android experience, comparable battery life to Lumia, front speaker, and splash resistance. I saw the Moto G4 Play and it seems it will replace this Moto E. But the size is too tall. I already have phones with that height already. I like the 4.5 inch the Moto E brings. Just wished it was slimmer.

I own this, and I own a Lumia 640 Windows phone. The Moto E is a toy compared to the Lumia. The Lumia (nokia) is an amazing phone for, $29 on sale. A camera as good as Apple's, and has an led flash (Moto no flash). Impeccable call quality - for those of you who still talk on a phone. FAST !!! 5" gorgeous screen. But here's why you should consider a Windows phone. It is so much faster than an Android, but MAINLY the freedom to install the apps where you want them. For example, I have only 1gb ram, but I have over 300 apps on my Windows phone, and 280+ can be installed on the sd-card. With my Moto, I'm lucky to have 50 apps because 90 % are forced to be installed in RAM. And with my Lumia 640, I still have over 500mb ram left ! No flash on this Moto ? Just ridiculous. Oh, the camera SUCKS. The macro is pretty much non existent. The Lumia has an incredible macro and picture quality. Even if you don't want a windows phone, steer clear of this Moto if you want a good camera, or if you like a lot of apps.

Bought this 4 my wife in oct 2015 for 80€ and in Finland that was a bargain. 4G for that price was really too tempting and it ended up replacing her outdated Samsung Gio. For a basic use I'd say it is brilliant and few weeks ago got updated to Marshmallow. Memory is a bit small as she takes quite a lot of photos but adding SD-card fixed that.

Just upgraded my Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen. LTE XT1524 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it is performing way way better than lollipop. Battery performance improved, speed and performance improved. I want Android N upgrade for this device too... it can perform and handle the next upgrade very well. Really happy and satisfied with this upgrade.

Fantastic basic smart phone. This will do 95% of what 90% of users need. I'm not a fan of larger phones as I prefer one that easily fits in any pocket and can be left in a back pants pocket and repeated sat on without breaking. So far this phone has held up extremely well. Who this phone is prefect for - Someone who: browses the web/social media, needs navigation, makes phone calls, wants great battery life. Who it's not perfect for: Someone who: will use it as a primary camera, plays a lot of games. This phone would be perfect for me if the camera were better and it had a flash. For $30-50 there is no other phone that can compete sold in the US.

Don't buy anything from Motorola!!! They will not stand by their warranty. I had a problem with the phone in that people complained they couldn't hear me or the phone would just disconnect. After talking with someone in the customer service department, I was told they would send me a new phone and a package for me to return my phone to them. They asked for my credit card number so they could charge me for a new phone if I didn't return the one that didn't work within a reasonable time. I returned it the day after I received the new phone and package to return the old one. They charged me $24 to FIX the old phone. They have been promising ever since to credit my account and to this day (almost 3 months) I have received nothing!!! I get an email about once a week which says the same thing about returning the phone. They have admitted and acknowledged that they received it. It's extremely frustrating to try to deal with them. So I thought I'd just tell everyone how they do business and implore you NOT to buy a Motorola phone because their warranty means absolutely NOTHING!!!

Moto e 2nd gen unlocked from staples in Canada $160 (Boxing Day). Bought from Fido a new sim for $10 and my pay as you go works like before. Added 32 Gig Sd and formatted it with Marshmallow to be internal storage. Works as expected feeding some internal memory for apps that cannot be moved to the Sd card. Battery life 5 days with one or two short calls a day. That's normal for me. Got a few apps , a space empire builder , and a cell tower and wifi point location finder and both work well. The game does draw more power but playing it for 30 minutes a days shortens the recharge cycle to 4 days.

The worst phone and the worst service. I purchase this phone in oct and in Nov the earpieace reciever failed and till now at april end my my phone's problem is not rectified. It takes more then 2 months for spare parts availability at service center. Customer care is completely useless. They have no idea of anything. It is a really bad phone. -Low space issues even though I have nothing stored in the phone -Very slow and heats up crazily even when I am texting or something -Camera is bad (my previous phone has 5np camera too this is far worse) -The battery takes about 5 hours to charge completely and sometimes drains completely in about 10 hours or so -It has not even been a year I have this phone and I had to format my phone 4 times to get rid of space issues It is not up to the standard of motorola. Some LCD panels are better than others - some are beautiful but some have a yellowish tint. A color corrector fixes that mostly. Apart from the SD car Not a single time has one had a problem like freezing. a few have been slammed on cement, travertine and granite tiles and some have flown more than 30 feet onto cement (horizontally while user tripped) so far all have fallen on the back and one on top left edge - none on the screen. There is no visual or usage difference noticeable between those that have fallen and those that haven't and those that haven't even been used (not passed out yet). This is an amazing and cheap phone.

I have purchased 5 Motorola phones over the last 2 years, 2 moto g 1st gen which I gave to my parents, a moto g 2nd generation on which I landed on smashing the screen but it still works and two Motorola moto e phones which I use. All of the phones have given me hours of useful service. With regards to all of the phones they never hang, they connect quickly to the telephone network, their wifi connections are brilliant and they make excellent wifi hotspot connectors. I would like to try a true 4G offering as one of the local telephony providers is providing 4G data speeds of up to 60mps and future offerings (currently being trialed in London) of 150mps both of which would make my landline broadband connection of 60mps redundant!

Not sure why the hate but I think this is a pretty good phone. Just updated to Android 6.0 (XT1527) and everything works fine. The camera WB is good. While the image quality is inferior to Samsung S4, it is by no mean awful. To most who only view them on the phones, the difference is moot. Also, LED flash is awful in practice so the lack of it is not a deal breaker although it can be handy as a flashlight. The screen is sharp, colour is warm and the viewing angle is good. Everything seems snappier than Android 5. The biggest surprise is that external SD can be formatted as an internal memory (but cannot be read by computers on card reader). That means if you put a 64GB SD in it, you will get a single 72GB internal memory which can be accessed by all apps. It even shows up as a single memory in file manager apps. The only con is that this phone can't be rooted (or none that I am aware of). That means I can't install AdAway or erase any system apps that I don't use. However, since I have 72GB internal memory in practice, the latter is moot so I just disable them. As to reliability, only time will tell.

moto e2 is good phone which is giving frequent performance .. it has high quality sceern of 720p and 1080p would also support with advanced lillipop(5.1.1) os... but it doesnot have flash ... phone is running smooth and fast with great game graphics.... it is a solid phone ......with unbreakable gorillla glass ................................................­........................................... the parts are old but very stong (other phones are not strong because of their new parts which is slim and breaks easily) .. we all know old is gold ................................................­......................... finally this phone is great and awesome

I've got this phone for 10 months. A month ago speaker stopped working and I've discovered that is the common problem. It's got overheating problem when in longer use and is difficult to scroll down while you're charging it. Phone camera is bad, there is no flash so you can use it only on bright sunny day. Sure it's cheap and OS is satisfying but it's not worth it. Invest a bit more if you can and get something better.

This is a nice little phone for the price but Motorola software is a piece of c... I have the 3G version and you're stuck with an extremely buggy lollipop 5.02 stock ROM that is exasperatingly slow and Motorola won't update. Do yourself a favor and install cyanogenmod 13 to experience a fast, reliable user experience and android marshmallow 6.01. Been using it for a month and it's like I have a brand new phone!

I bought the Moto E(2nd Gen, XT 1524), global veriant, two weeks ago for 120 euro and here's a small review. Pros: + great build quality, very sturdy, feels great in the hand + compact + screen is very bright + sd card slot + smooth performance, after marshmallow update the phone is running like butter it fixed alot of bugs from lollipop + speaker is loud + camera is fast to launch and focus + battery life is excellent, two day battery with normal use, around five and a half hours of screen on time. Cons: - screen resolution is low - sometimes I miss flash Really great phone and at very low price, amazing device.

I like it and would recommend it.. it's a good deal for the money. As long as you don't want to take pictures at Night. (it has no flash) And playing games like GTA are probably not going to run well. I bought the retail version LTE which has the better CPU etc. It has run great last 6 months no major slows downs or crashes either. My battery lasts like 2 weeks sitting idle since i never use it for phone calls / txt's etc. I heard reviewers gripe about the view in sunlight but i think it's fine. The Micro SD card slot is your friend.. buy a card asap (phone does not come with one) Front camera is useless for Selfie's but the rear one is not too bad for landscapes or up close with things (auto focus) works pretty good.. The twist to activate camera feature is cool and the Telus version i got had 1 app installed extra on it "My Telus". So it seems like a really clean version of Android. It was bundled with Lollipop but Canada was said to be getting the Marshmallow update Moto's blog said.. although i don't know if that means some or all or no carriers in Canada will ACTUALLY receive it.. It would be up to Telus to have final say if it goes out. Lollipop is fine though and we have leaked firmware for Marshmallow from India on XDA so there is that.. oh and the build quality is rubber / plastic but it still feels well made to me.. It seems like a fairly thin phone too.. AND i found a charger for an HTC phone that has a higher voltage on it and it charges my phone in less than an hour, i looked up the Quick Charge spec and it does NOT support it but a more powerful adapter can drastically cut down charge times (the original one it comes with takes like 12 hrs)

This phone is great at the price I paid for it. $99 off contract, with Telus/Koodo. Quad core that is fast and responsive, runs Lollipop, getting Marshmallow soon, runs 3D games, Dead TRIGGER 1 & 2, Modern Combat 5, so it'll run Candy Crush, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, only complaint is limited storage but you can use a 32GB microSD card, and get 40GB storage, or use cloud storage to expand memory, RAM is sufficient enough for basic usage, for games you'd need to close all opened apps (swiping away app cards), in general, it's a great phone for your money. Oh and camera is good too, it's autofocus! Best in its range. Beats those cheap Huawei phones.

The twist to bring up the camera is now integrated into my life. Now I judge every phone I want to buy by the lack there of. I don't suppose someone made an app for that just yet, but I do know that there is a moto display app, and I'm eager to try that out on a non-Motorola device. If I ever get another device that is. I don't want to get another device because what is offered to me by my Moto E2 is actually quite astounding. Every day I can get At Least Four Hours of screen on time, but that's only because of the low ppi and the small display. Most smartphone reviewers are basting their eyes with phones usually featuring 300ppi or more, which is why it isn’t a surprise when they blithely cast away the screen as having soft or fuzzy text when in reality, 245ppi is what everyone sees everyday with printed material, and no one complains about the fuzziness of text on paper, or screams for sharper text in books. But I digress, I'm an avid youtube watcher and having just 480p to watch my Casey Neistat blogs with is just unsatisfying. I can choose to watch movies, or listen to music Without earphones, because of the Very Good Front Facing Speaker. I take Good Pictures with the camera and I do use the Okay Moto Camera App, because that's the only camera app the twist function will take you to. Of all the complaints everyone has about the simplicity of the camera app, I will say that at least there is nothing to hate, but that's only because there IS nothing. Since the Bad Front Facing Camera isn't my choice for selfies, I like that it's Convenient to take selfies with the front because of the 'tap anywhere to capture' feature of the camera. I'm happy to see that this is optional in the Galaxy 5. I wonder about how more capable this device could be with more RAM, as I surf Chrome and listen to music... app crashing. Yeah, that's about the only thing I have problems with because I'm not an aspiring gamer, nor a workhorse so I don't do a lot of word processing or research. Youtube-ing and Chrome-ing and some other cool retro looking 8-bit games all consist of my daily routine. That's another thing, Minecraft is a hardware intensive game, even if on mobile (and don't let the graphics fool you) but I was able to play it. Like, without any skips or bumps that would deter me from enjoying the game. If there is another phone out there for me, it would be the Moto E2 BUT with some improvements: • a better camera (I know this is vague, but I can't just say that an 8MP camera is going to do any justice when everyone is busting ZTE's balls with their phones sporting 8 megapixels, so obviously what I mean by "better" is: a bigger sensor and better post-processing software), • advanced camera app features (keep the 'wheel' and the "touchanywheretocapture," I don't care, I don't want to have to download a different app just for framelaspes or buy a hyped up "DLSR PRO PLUS" bullcorn app. Especially when the twist isn't programmable to bring up any other app but the moto camera app), • STABLE Android Marshmallow (I know all about the wonders of INDIA getting Marshmallow, but the rest of the world has feelings, too, y'know), • and finally more space because everyone knows 8GB of internal is actually 5GB of internal which is actually a little more than 3GB of internal you get for yourself, which everyone knows is hoopla.

Excellent value for the price especially once the LTE version is updated to Android 6.0. The mediocre call sound quality issue is caused by over-active noise-cancelling microphone (located beside the back camera). Once that microphone hole is taped, the call sound quality became excellent.

I have the same problem. The person who I'm talking to says my voice cuts in &out or is distorted, but they sound fine from my end. When I use speaker phone, it works fine. Don't like not having a flash, but battery life hasn't been a problem & seems to charge fairly quickly

I've owned the Moto E (2nd Generation) for a week now. What a let down... Now, don't get me wrong, value for money in many aspects is apparent - but not in the noted selling point of Battery Life. I'm a moderate user of my mobile: around 10 Emails a day, maybe 10 SMS, 10 short calls, 10min. of Facebook, and, 10min. of google.... yet come 16:00/04:00pm it's in a dire state with a notification of battery death. And yes, I looked up Motorola's suggestions for extendng battery life; and they're as expected. turn everything off except your cell signal. This may have been a waste of money as I spend a 12 hours a day away from a charger.

Yes, I have had the phone for about 4 months. When i had a problem with it hanging up on calls. It happens when your face touches the screen before the phone dial keypad is "hidden". Got over that, but now I have problems with voice transmission - people on the other end say my voice keeps fading in and out. Don't know why that is, but it got WAY worse when i put a phone cover on it. Think I will live with out that cover! Other than wallet style covers there aren't any great slim covers for this phone that I can find.

Was very happy with my 1st gen. Moto e. Bought 2nd gen. and am terribly disappointed with it. It's garbage. Why they took the flash option away , I do not know. The phone never does what it's supposed to do which leaves me frustrated every time I use it. It pauses before it does what you need it to do and sometimes you have to try more than once to get it to work at all. Do not buy , go for something with quality. This phone certainly lacks.

Android 6.0 is in either alpha or beta testing. It won't come out for at least 6 months, and would have to be modified pretty heavily in order to be workable with this device. There are currently no plans to send an update due to that. Should have 5.1 out for everybody, and unless this phone continues to sell well for the next 6 months, and I doubt that will happen, we won't be getting a 6.0 update, just patches and system updates mostly. Hope that helps!

I had it for around 2-3 months and the first time I dropped it on a hard surface, AKA my high school's tile flooring covered with carpet (the thin carpet that doesn't do much anyway), the screen scattered off. almost all the way, it exposed the battery and everything, i was a little afraid to pick it up. Also, not that this has anything to do with the overall quality, but the camera is terrible, the zoom doesn't work and the front camera is super pixelated.

I will post some notes on what it DOESN'T have, in case these features are important to you: ** No flash on the camera. ** No magnetic field sensors, so a simple compass app won't work. (there are complicated ones that can fake direction based on the GPS signal) ** Will not communicate in 802.11a wi-fi, only b/g/n. ** No Near Field Communication sensors, so you can't do that trick where you just tap someone else's phone to transfer stuff. Still, good phone for general use.

I have had this phone for 9 months. At initial use it was great. Pure Android experience. Decent specs. But after awhile of use of this phone you notice it can't keep stamina. It slows down.. ALOT. The charger it comes with is the slowest charger I've ever owned. It over heats while charging even if you read a text real quick to the point where you can barely touch it. Coming from a plastic phone that's bad. Random reboots. Sometimes making your phone completely unusable with only a black screen and it can last an hour. The lack just continually gets worse and worse and worse to the point where you can barely have one app at once sometimes it'll happen while texting. Not to mention why won't it get a marshmallow update if any phone needs it its this phone. This phone is a temporary short term phone like 3 to 5 months. But even then you might have to restore factory default settings once. I've had to do it 3 times so far. I'd recommend it short term Nothing long term more like if you break a phone and just need something to last you until you get a new phone.

Very nice phone, battery last for almost 23 hours (some quick calls, many pics taken, using whatsapp all day long and other basic apps), front cam is not good I have to take more than one pic to get a nice shot. I have to say is a really nice phone for a very low price. :)

The new update you received is Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Also if you are running out of memory to play certain games and apps, at a decent sized micro sd card (upto 32gb) and transfer as many apps as you can to the SD card. Should solve that problem

Just got the phone to try it out. The Moto gestures are nice, particularly the double twist to open a camera and the auto-notifications feature. Unfortunately, the lack of a flash is a killer feature since half the time my phone is used as a bloody flashlight. There's also no rear speaker. Other than that it seems like a great phone, fast, sharp screen, all that jazz. And cheap! Refurbs are under 50 bucks.

No. The internal Memory is indeed 8 GB. However, almost 3GB is taken up by the Operating System. So the remaining memory about 4.8 GB is available for installing games and other apps. Moreever, the phone also provides for installing apps and games on External SD Card. So no issues with storage.

But actually the Lg f3 one has the same 1GB of ram and it worked perfectly. Someone already told me the issue is with the Android version. I installed a Drastic emulator Lolipop compatible it worked but has some bugs. Any way if i can turn my head back to the past i'd prefer getting Lg Spirit that is on the same price.

Second day with it and I already want to smash it. BT is terrible when ANY other radio is enabled. It's so slow that it's almost unbearable. I'm coming from an S3 and this feels like I've gone back in time. I had a 1st gen Moto G and I loved it, so I thought the new E would be something I could live with until my upgrade in July. Was I ever wrong. This is the first Moto phone I've had that I absolutely despise. (Previous: SLVR L7, A780, Atrix, RAZR, Moto G.) I think I actually hate the G more than I hated my Sharp AquosPhone(SH06D), and I REALLY hated that phone. I regret not getting a used Moto X, even if it meant living with only 16GB and no mSD. For $50 more, I could have been a lot happier. Maybe if it gets Marshmallow it could improve, but at the moment it looks like I'll be opting for an early upgrade.

Go for E2. Redmi 2 and 2 prime are unreliable and almost 600mb of RAM is already taken up by the MIUI. You won't go wrong with E2

Its been 7 months using this phone and regarding the everyday daily usability of this phone i am pretty satisfied. The reason why I am reviewing this phone is that during my journey with this I came to know about quite a lot of things and just wanna share them with all. ABOUT MOTOROLA: Let's start from the beginning, when Motorola first launched its "moto g" after its comeback I was totally impressed by the quality of device Motorola was offering at an unbelievable price point. Its got a quality snapdragon processor, built with high quality materials, etc. The thing which impressed me the most was that the phone was able to withstand under the water!! even though it was not being marketed as being water-resistant. :"The phone's got killer built quality". Then More phones came into the Indian market i.e. moto x and moto e. Non of them were crap!! From then I started respecting Motorola, for following 2 reasons : (i)Like other major companies like Samsung , HTC, LG, Sony. Motorola was not selling any crap. (ii)Their Phone line up quite limited to just 3 phones(at that time). While other companies have got dozens of phones even in the same price catagory. Then I convinced my whole family to buy Motorola. I have used them all. The first thing that come to my mind while holding a Motorola phone is about their build quality. All of them feel quite nicely built. BUT that's were I got disappointed with both the 1st and 2nd gen moto "e", after using them for a few months. No complaints with moto g(s) The old gen model was built with high quality material so as the new one. But just after opening and closing its back-cover it got loosen up. I totally got disapointed. COMING TO THE PHONE : ABOUT THE BANDS AND ITS BUILT QUALITY: When I purchased the 2nd gen moto e, I hoped the same problem will not be their with their bands. But now after 7months, its band has got loosen up and also has deformed a bit. When I first came to know about these bands that moto e has instead of having a back-cover. I thought it's quite an innovative idea. I thought May be, since this hasn't got any back cover, it will be more protected against water damage.But that's not the case. I watched on YouTube one guy just mess-up his moto e by droping it in water. Even the 1st gen moto e or even !st gen moto X!! couldn't handle water damage.(only moto g can, quite confusing). Also these bands are know annoying me. First of replacement bands are out of stock form the last 4 months. I ordered Chinese ones, but they don't fit the phone perfectly and are also quite fragile. Its good to have rubberized coating on the back of this phone but what if this coating starts to peel off (on my phone it has started to peel off which is completely normal). We can not replace its back!!. This damage is permanent!! there is no way to get rid of it!! Also since it has got bands, it certainly limits the extent to which one can customize its appearance. OTHER ASPECTS OF THE PHONE: Talking about the other aspects I am quite satisfied. the front camera is pretty much useless. The back camera can beat iPhone 4's 5mp camera IN broad DAY light (Only) while the indoor shots and night and even during those near sunset are quite noisy. literally speaking IN Ample lighting conditions It can Beat iPhone 4. In every other field the Phone performs brilliantly. MOTO Display and MOTO Actions are quite addicting and usefull. Pin Pointing :----- ITS Battery Life just amazing!! SOME PROBLEMS: If you have read some other reviews people are saying about the mic problem. Yes It has got that problem. But It's due to some other reason (not because of mic positioning at the back). Once I tried Covering the mic during conversation, but the voice was still getting delivered to the other end. Actually I pointed out that when i press the back of the phone quite hard, the person in front starts complaining that the voice is not getting delivered. MAy be its due to the antina lying there. IT will give this phone 3.2 rating out of 5. BUT certainly will not recommend to any one. Better to add some money and buy A moto g (2nd gen LTE variant). Even buy the 1st gen moto g (If you can) Hope Motorola to start making phones just like 1st gen Moto G i.e."exceptional!!"

Gaming in this device is real bad. It runs many, maybe most games but 1gb memory aint enough. it will take eons to load you cant switch to another app, or the game will reset many games will exaust its memory and simply be killed internal storage will run dry in no time (8bg - many Gbs fom the system)

Something is very wrong with your phone. It gets quite slow with time, but runs drastic with virtually any rom supported with relative ease. The only problem is its lack of memory, witch resets drastic if you open another app then go back to the emulator.

From mid-2014 to Oct 2015 my family bought 3 Moto-E handsets; the last a 2nd Gen. The first collapsed and refused to go to the start page. It remains that way as repairs for unreliable out-of-warranty sets are unjustifiable.The second did the same and the motherboard had to be replaced (it was within warranty). The 2nd Gen emptied the fully charged battery overnight without use for 3 consecutive days. This was an unused phone. Flipkart tech helped me to get the battery to charge, made me do a factory reset and urged me to get Android updates. Now the keypad hangs intermittently . It picks up the domestic wi-fi hesitatingly. The second Motorola does so easily. Moto-E, regardless of 1st or 2nd Gen, is a trouble prone phone. If you have a choice, buy something else, not necessarily the latest and greatest, but reliable, with a countrywide service backup.

I bought this phone brand new, I am a little disappointed with it, I thought i could do more with it than my previous phone (LG F3 T-mobile version bought second handed) I had more apps on the old phone than in this one, and it was just a 4GB with 1.2gb available. It is not compatible with some apps a wanted have like Drastic it was running perfectly in my previous phone. In calls, is horrible i'd wish smashing it agains the wall, trust me is imposible hearing a call with it. When i bought it the packaging promised having a Better performance in battery than others phone in its category but it just holds in charge a day as i regulary do with previous phone. Picked it up from Amazon for INR4500. It came in a neat packaging and the in-box accessories include headset, charger, and phone guide. The one thing that is so needed but missing in the box is the data transfer cable. Have been using it since 17th October, and here is my take on it: Battery: the 2390mAH is seriously great and after playing games like Temple Run2, Angry Birds for more than an hour, and browsing as well as talking for 3 hours, the remaining battery was 40%. That is seriously good performance. Screen: The screen is perfect and there are ways to adjust the screen brightness, which itself is a battery saver. If the brightness is too low then the screen is not visible in the sunlight. Speakers: The speakers are good. They don't sound dolby but the music or loudspeaker calls are crystal clear. The same goes for the headset. I am using a JBL and the sound really comes out pretty nice. Camera: It is 5MP and thats what you get. Daylight pics are great although night pics are hazy. Apps: It comes with built in apps, which take up about 2GB of space. You can download more apps like the cleanmaster to keep your space and RAM free. Certain apps can also be transfered to the SD card using settings. No Lag: There is certainly no lag on the screen when you are hopping from one app to another. The snapdragon 200 makes everything run smooth. Corning Gorilla Glass 3: Yes, it is not only scratch proof but no messy thumprints also.....makes the screen more visible. USB: It only works with a data cable and not an OTG All in all, the Moto E 2nd Gen is a seriously good handset that gives you just about everything you would need in a budget smartphone!

I am also a user of moto e 2gen and was user of last gen moto e also and I would say that last gen was definitely better (not in looks,cemera).new gen moto e lags a lot and some times u have to w8 for 5 minutes so that phone comes back in use again.I would say that the camera has improved from last gen but till now it is not giving sufficient performence. It is OK according to me. So I woul say that don't go for this moblie and instead of that u can go for mi brand. Hope it would help.

Bought this phone for my wife. All good except for one major problem - people can't hear her voice properly it's all distorted during many calls. I phoned Tesco where I got the phone. They said do a reset which is a pain because you lose all settings etc. Anyway problem persists. Now I am reading this forum it's clear this phone has a common fault with lots of people experiencing the same problem. The answer - a piece of sellotape stuck over the rear mic! Does it have to be special Motorola approved service tape I wonder? Motorola by now should have worked out a software update to fix this I.e. Switch off the rear mic automatically when phone is in call.

Hay Sam. That's not an issue, nor is it specific to the Moto E. It's how Android manages apps since KitKat. Some can be exported to the SD card, some can't. Others, like Spotify, split the app itself on the internal memory and the downloaded data to the SD, to keep things neat.

My first smartphone and I already love it! LTE version act fast, looks nice and take cool pictures, but only in good light, there is a noise at photos when you try to take a picture in a room or in a bad light). Only 3.2mpix in 16:9 mode is great with HDR function on, panoramic pics looks rather average and it's definatelly not the phone for selfies (weak front camera) but hey, who need's it? ;) Pretty quick in all day use (e-mails, gps, www), not changable battery last for day, day and a half max. If the phone would have a LEDflash, physical foto button and a charger (mine works ok with Samsung charger from the old phone) it would be almost perfect, but it's very good even without this features.

Please do not buy any motorola mobiles. i have very bad experience. I have purchased Moto e 4 G 3 months before and it had issue on while conversation mute will enable automatic. I have given to service center in bangalore for repair. They updated the firmware but the issue not resolved. They told parts not available and will order from motorla. I have given 14-Jun-2015 . I have use to call Motorola customer care they will tell always lie Told like parts not available . I have asked it is new product lunch by Motorola.If Motorola say parts not available than what is the issue. They told will escalate. A week after i have called they told will get in Aug 5th 2015 in hand. but not received again called they said parts struck in courier later again told it was stuck with customs . After so many follow up the told still parts not received and we escalated. I have frustrated after 45 days and collected the mobile without repair from service center and sold that mobile to online. Today i have got a call from service center told parts received so, bring the mobile. i have told them sold out. So please do not buy any motorola mobiles. Parts non availability issue are there always . i have seen most of them reach to service center . Motorola cheating india customers.Becareful. \

Moto E 1527 2nd Gen. is a full featured phone that cannot be ignored. I purchased this phone for $79.99 expecting a plain vanilla phone. Instead I was amazed that this phone had all the features I wanted or needed without exorbitant cost or contract. Without going into specific specifications, the features I like most is the size 4.5" that fits in my pocket, the Gorilla Glass that shows off the bright colorful screen, You Tube, Movies are crystal clear. I have taken some very nice photos and videos. Everything loads quickly. I use ear buds to listen to Pandora and Tune In Radio even though the built in speaker works fine on its own. I added a 16 g card that gave me more room than I need. Phone was updated to Android 5.1. Most of my apps are financial related and used in conjunction with on line stock trading. I originally tried the Samsung, HTC, LG, even an Apple, and I just could not justify the cost or the contract. After 24 or 36 months with technology changing and your phone is finally paid for you get to do it all over again when you replace it with another expensive phone. If you need the better camera, and can justify the true cost of your phone at 7,8,9 times of the Moto E, that's a personal decision. Congratulations Motorola!

So far so good. S3 just died on me and just bought this phone coz low budget and is the best phone available. Didn't expect much and I am really surprised with the performance! lollilop running smoothly and pretty great if you're a google power user. all pre installed apps are functional and minimal bloatware. yes camera can be better but not a biggy. wished the ram and storage was bigger but i don't play games, just use productivity apps, email and music streaming. so everything is great for my purposes. screen is bright even though its low quality screen so not noticeable. calls are clear but feels weird, like a bit of reverb or something.Was happy with the s3 but honestly the lollipop really shines and this phone feels better. For the price and functionality, pretty solid phone and highly recommendable.

My Moto E (2015) XT-1526 Boost Mobile variant died at the three month mark. It does not even boot up past the initial Motorola animations, now mater how I power it up or soft reset it. Went with a Tribute 2 for it was cheaper to upgrade that to ship for service. Had issues with Visual Voicemail not recognizing new messages. I would have to "force stop" the app and launch it after every power up. The earpiece and caller reported volume and audio was poor too. I do not recommend this phone. Even on the Lollipop 5.1 OS, had bugs.

After installing any VOIP app you are loosing the voice call audio or is terribly distorted-no fix! Factory reset and the voice is clear again. Any VOIP app( Skype, Facebook) will make this phone unusable as a phone. In the same time the Skype audio is fine. This is my last Motorola phone.

I bought this handset four days ago because of good reviews. But I am not able to understand that the screen is the most used part in such phones, then why make it so fragile. It slid off my hand on a rough surface and the inner screen cracked up. Why can't Motorola consider the risk of breakage while designing the phone? I can say, the only bad issue that I been experimented it's when I try to make a call.... sometimes it blackout (just the screen) but the call happens, and sometimes it makes the call but never shows you the screen of calls, just the little phone icon on top of screen, it's been about 2 months already since I get it from my cell phone company (movistar)... with every other app or event works like a common task and there is no reboot or overheating when you execute a game or facebook or youtube...

I have been using this mobile for 4 months now and at first I found it to be pretty awesome at this price range. Just as i was getting excited with all the good features, I tried making it even powerful by rooting. To my dismay, camera stopped but its fine after all camera wasn't good anyway. Nevertheless, the premium apps (which needs rooting) doesn't work viz. next launcher, viper (sound enhancer) etc. Just as I was getting bored with its features which wouldn't let me use the power of android (to tweak), my speaker started to give a distorted sound while having conversation. Took to service center and changed it, but now the speaker volume is so low that i have to have conversation in a loud speaker. From my point of view, it's a total DISAPPOINTMENT. I don't think if i can ever trust Motorola again!

It has been a few weeks since my 5.1 OTA update. The battery life is a little bit better. I also notice that selecting the Hearing Aid Compatibility improves the audio quality in the earpiece, and my callers say I sound better as well. The extra animations are nice, also notice over improved performance.

Good from all aspects, with ONLY ONE drawback..... There is no option to display Contacts on Phone / Contacts on SIM. The Contact-To-Diplay option only gives you the choice to Display Contacts on Gmail / Whatsapp / etc. So, you have to keep your contacts on Gmail to make the phone read your contacts. This phone CAN read Contacts on phone, but you have to enter them manually. Still, the option MUST have been there for user to select, which Contacts to display.

I received my OTA update to Lollipop 5.1 and I find on the Boost Mobile site that a new update is released as of today 7/23/2015. I got version LPI23.29-18-S.2 instead of the listed LPI23.29-18-S.1 on the Software Updates section of device support. I now see a version LPI23.29-22-R.7 on the listing. Impressive phone. The Amazon sale of the LTE version for 99$ is too good to pass. Only cons are the VGA front camera and lack of flash for the main one. At least it has autofocus, something that makes it instantly better than the one from the Moto E 2014. Fast, snappy, you can also upgrade out of the box to 5.1 Lollipop (LTE versions only, so far). I can play Asphalt 8 in medium settings without hassle. It also handles web browsing and social media apps like it is nothing. I'm very impressed with this device.

It is a nice phone to use. I wanted to try Android again coming from a Iphone 4S and 6 plus. I was using a Zinger on Tmobile but it had limited storage. Also the phone would not let me move apps to the SD card. I got the Moto E on a price match at Walmart from it's website. I found out that Verizon phones are unlocked because I read it's unlock policy online. I just had to do some tinkering to get it to work. It has amazing battery life and has an almost stock Android experience. I found out that after the update I can not remove the Sim card or it will go back to being an Verizon phone. So I will keep using it as long as possible till I decide to go back to an Iphone again. I will just sell the Moto E to someone who wants it on a CDMA carrier, or likes to tinker with it to put it back on GSM mode.

I picked up the LTE version from amazon for $100. I can't believe how good of a smartphone you can pick up for such a low price these days. I'm coming over from a nexus 5 so its a bit of a downgrade but still a very solid phone and I'm really enjoying the battery life versus the nexus. I use my phone as my bike computer so splash resistance, long battery life, and low cost are big pluses.

1. Download Motorola device manager.. it will install usb drivers and solve all your problems. 2. and for people asking about slow charging.. they need to buy a new charger with 1.2 or 1.5 Amp output power. Provided charger is a slow charger.

if the battery is completely dead it will take maximum 4 hours or else 3 hours minimum so no need to worry and please use the authorized charger of motorola amp diff from charger to charger which can lead to battery loss

mayb use a 2A charger it's the same problem with moto e 1st gen or use my way leave the phone on changing for atleast 1hr and try to switch on it mayb it works.....

Moto e 4G is a dump mobile, not good as people posting for earlier versions. There is issue with camera recording, appears lines. Even I replaced the device two times still there is problem and flipkart is still denying to refund the money.......Moto not a good device for me as MOto e 4g.

Hi friends i brought moto e2 3g model in march after using 3 months My opinion About the mobile; * it is good battery life rather than other 7k mobile * its pure android stock ui like nexus * it has good processor and enough gpu for gaming * it has no heating issue *its cons is the camera section * it has great olephatic coating with gorilla glasss protection *it is easy to user for old age people *its Call quality is good and its speaker is good enough * i like the design like wrist band * it is branded mobile other like china mobiles If U want to buy good android mobile just go for it to under 7k:-D
