Pretty good reception, mediocre battery life, nice touch screen, camera is garbage. Kinda slow but bearable. Basically happy but wish I had my camera with me on holiday! Lots of good lighting conditions but still can't get a decent shot most of the time. Used ATT SIM card and Virgin at home in Canada. So far so good...will try Vodafone in Spain next year.

it's a decent phone for 2011 but was outclassed then and is a really bad deal now... if u paid more than 100 eu for the xt615 in the past three years u got ripped off SD card reader is garbage, the processor is slow, pitiful but sufficient RAM, no OS updates means it's more obsolete every day, reception is garbage, it holds a charge for a whole day off of light use only, and the one I've had for three years has repeatedly let me down, crashing apps, unsupported business, restarting on its own, failing to read the SD card and giving BS reasons. software issues and negligible hardware specs = poor product. it's style without substance and I'd sooner have bought a flip phone and suffered with T9 - the keyboard on this is terrible if you have male-sized hands

Have had phone for 2 years. June 2012. No problems. Have replaced battery once. And again this week it would no longer hold a charge. I replaced the battery again with a new one (not refurbished). worst phone ever! I thought since Motorola was owned by Google. this was going to work lovely.. it doesn´t I had the phone for about a year. Dust started to filter to the screen through the opening where you charge it. after a year of having the phone, it would re-start by it own. over heating. power button stopped working, i did a mayor reset. erased everything. and yet it did not work. i just gave up, first time and the last time buying a Motorola.

First, batterie life far to short! I got max. 3 hours out of it! Back cover falls off regularly! ! Camera stopped working after one year and the quality of the pictures was absolutely bad! Freezes at least twice a day! Tried to sell it to several online second hand shops! Most didnt even want it! One offered loughable 3£ the best offer I had was 4.80£! Just 14 month ago I payd 189£ I guess that says everything! DONT buy it! Keep your hands off a used one! Exept you get it for 5£ and it is for your lil son/daughter to play with!

I have an xt615 turned it off one day when I turned it back on all I could get was the Motorola logo on the screen didn't want to display the home screen.Don't know what the problem is I guess it is the end of life for that one

I've had this phone for about 2 n a half months... unfortunately I do not like this phone because it has so many problems! First off when taking pictures the quality and color does not turn out well, second it has a problem with the battery cover coming off randomly, third I am stuck on the EDGE network! For living in the US it is horrible. I can't do anything with this phone... all I know is I paid way too much for it to not work very well.. I wanna just sell it and get a way better phone that will do right! Which i will probably do in the very near future! This phone has soooo many defaults, I really do NOT recommend this phone to anyone!!!!! Not a happy customer!

Negative: If GSM signal is lost for a longer time, it never recovers unless rebooted. The back side (I have got the black version) is peeling off, it is slowly going to change to metalic look. Sometimes when being charged, it takes enourmous time to get the battery to full power (40->100% in more than 4 hours :( ) Occassionaly the reaction is incredibly slow. Not possible to upgrade android from 2.3.7 above not enough memory Positive: the cover glass on display is very robust (never got scratched) resolution and view angle of display is quite good extra LED for notification (no need to check the main display) reasonable back camera Result: Based on my experience with that phone I would not have bought it again

I have had this phone for 1 month and I'm really dissapointed. The comments here are true. The camera is too bad. The phone hangs REALLY often and restarts randomly. The audio is bad and the volume low. The internal memory is TOO low for a phone at this price and the RAM sucks. The back cover fells out at the minimum touch. I wanted a Galaxy Advance but it wasn't available. I really regret having bought this phone. Never would buy Motorola again.

I'm from Poland and Technical help guy told me that it will not be possible - they are not preparing any 4.0 soft update for this model...I wanted to update my wifes phone but it appears it is impossible. We should blame Motorola. I heard there are problems with their soft updates. Morover they are blocking loaders to load soft from independent soft producers...

Since I don't have a data plan I had the phone company block it. I turned on data on the phone & I was able to connect to WiFi again. I tried this once before without any luck however I tried it again & for reasons unknown to me WiFi works.

This is 2013,I think Motorola should start to raise their standard in their new cell phone. For a mid-tier cell phone like this, it should have at least 1GHz dual core processor with at least 1GB of Ram and running ICS4. Also, their low end cell phone such as the defi should have a higher clocked single core processor such as 1.2 to 1.4 GHz. If Motorola wants to remain competitive, they should raise the standard on their three tier cell phones so that other manufacturers will need to do catch up.

CPU speed is not connected to screen size but to screen resolution, so 800MHz should be enought (just). And big screen needs more power for lighting, which explains short battery life. I would love the same design (small body, huge screen)... with ICS.

This a great phone in it class it has 480 x 854 pixels display, 4.0 inches , Whys Samsung makes Samsung R680 Repp and Samsung I110 Illusion that has stupid 800mhz and stupid 320 x 480 pixels, 3.5 inches display to compete this, thats why no samsung is out of compititon WHy Motorola now leads is it made RAZR, XT 915 which is better than galaxy s2, why are you sop stupid to compare galaxy s2 with this phone

The blue strip is actually an LED light which lights up or changes colours whenever you charge or having unseen messages or missed calls . ^^ Nice because Moto seldom comes with an affordable Android phone . This is awesone !

I think this is a very attractive phone...and considering this is supposed to be a affordable phone...I see no problem with the specs..appart from the no FM Radio perhaps. FM Radio in my view should be standard. What is that blue strip at the bottom of the phone? Cant make it out.

NO GPS? 800Mhz? 270euro seems abit overpriced. May be 200euro will able to get some market. How can a smartphone without a GPS? 8mp pic is cool.. Front camera is important.. but sure no GPS? wtf. 800mhz can live with it at just 250euro but must got GPS!

Motorola seems confused if the want to make a budget phone or a flagship. Design wise a good phone, 4 inch screen 8mp camera, let down by a ridiculously low spec battery and processor. Samsung Galaxy Y has a 830 Mhz processor. And I dont know how many hours that 1390 mAh battery gonna last on that 4 inch screen.Or may be min.

Coming with Gorilla glass, AMOLED, 8GB, 1GHz... Samsung i9000 is worthy. Moto seems to be very expensive for its specs. More power source of 1800 to 2000 mAh suggested for Asian market. Hi, be competitive and be worthy.
