Motorola Nexus 6 - User Reviews

  • If your priority is just watching youtube videos, go for Nexus 6 for Amoled display and bigger screen/design. Regarding other features, LG V20 is good.

  • Definitely get the V20. Better phone overall in terms of build quality, camera and processor, not to mention it charges via Type-C and not the old, outdated microUSB.

  • It's battery problem replace the battery problem is fix

  • Hey on a bit of a budget here. I just want a phone for watching Youtube. Should I get the Nexus 6 or the Lg V20?

  • Very good phone. I only have issues with the speakers. The volume reduces itself while playing music. Pls I need help on this. Thanks

  • Still running buttery smooth with Android 9 Custom Rom, reduced Display Resolution & Customized Kernel values Waiting for Android 10 Custom Rom :)

  • I Totally Agree, friend. This N6 screen is great, but REALLY GREAT. I have not seen so good display since Nexus 6, and the speakers are amazing. It has a better sound than N6P o N5X. And I love the design, this is original in its kind and impossible to confuse to any other phone.

  • This is not all true. I had this phone and it's a very good phone from Huawei. Jerry pressed in the middle of Power button and Volume button, that zone is weak because of the buttons are too close. But I tried to blend it in all other places of the body an it was strong. Anyways, Nexus 6P has a better camera than iPhone 6/7 and stereo front firing speakers, good battery. Overall, a good Frankenstein hahaha.

  • I loved this phone in its day. It had unique design, and a great, wide screen, plus some weight into it, so it felt sturdy too.

  • Just check the video on Nexus 6P from JerryRigEverything and you'll realize how bad and low level build quality Nexus 6P has. Google should have partnered with Motorola again to make Nexus 6P

  • Sorry but I don't agree with you. - I have a used one which is running smoothly on Android 9 custom rom. No issue with taking Pic or Videos, Amazing display, stereo sound, Nice battery backup from such a old phone (Didn't even replace the battery) - Also able to overclock and increase performance using Kernel mods (At the expense of battery and Heat) Only issue I faced is with sim card tray. Need to keep pressing for some time to get it inside. I guess either your Battery needs to be replaced or some issue with Hardware/Software.

  • Absolutely the worst phone i have ever owned. Dies immediately, often refuses to charge once dead (for no discernible reason), can't perform basic tasks like taking photos, constantly crashes and the screen breaks easily. I spend probably 10-15 minutes every day of my life waiting for the touch screen to catch up with my typing. It ALWAYS takes me upwards of 30 seconds to load the camera screen and take a picture, often several minutes. It also CANNOT do videos under any circumstances. Absolutely terrible, do not buy, this temperamental phone will test your patience

  • Search for NexusRootToolKit.

  • I had my Shamu for 4 years. To this day it is still a great phone (running LOS16). Just got 1+ 7 Pro last week with 12GB config and I would say that it does worth the upgrade. The main issue with Shamu on LOS16 is RAM management and GPU drivers which are not made for Android 9. BTW, 1+ 7 Pro while playing PUBG used just over 7GB of RAM! So I do recommend the 12GB config if you could find it for the price of the base model.

  • After more than 3.5 yrs of usage, I'm still enjoying this beast with Android 9 with latest security patch of this July. I was thinking of an upgrade but truly I couldn't find a phone which I can call it a big step forward. I have OP7 pro in my mind along with past year's Note9, most other phones have either an ugly notch, or missing a feature that I want like like Stereo speakers or Amoled display or even overpriced... So I finally decided to wait till next year. This Nexus is doing a great job so far except for the battery which I have to charge it twice a day unfortunately.

  • I went from the 5.94 inch Nexus 6 to the 6.4 inch Galaxy S10 Plus. Yet somehow the S10 Plus screen looks and feels smaller than the Nexus 6. The wide screen on the N6 was absolutely great to consume media on. Samsung's tall phones just allow them to claim massive screen sizes, but serve no practical purpose.

  • I want u to teaxh me how l can use my music as a ringing tone

  • Completely agree even in 2019 few phoned even comes close ,and the screen and sound our to me untouchable

  • motorola nexus6 is better than huawei interms in sound, camera and battery life

  • Nexus 6p.However the build quality of Motorola is better along with OIS so consider these.

  • huawei nexus 6p is newer there was never a nexus 6 from them, only motorola

  • which one better.? motorola nexus 6 or huawei nexus 6

  • You need to google it... can't post links here

  • How do you root your device?

  • You need to root your device and then install custom rom. Google ' Nexus 6 XDA' . You will get all the info over there

  • Mine has a much lower version of Android. Where did you find the 9.0 version of Android for the Nexus 6 and how were you able to install it? I thought I was forever stuck running an old version of Android!

  • awesome

  • Just got this thing brand new unused unopened for $140 from a guy , it RULES, Scored 97000 in Antutu to my surprise, camera is decent (except the selfie one) and the stereo speakers are out of this world, the screen does not dissapoint either, truly a phone ahead of its time 10/10

  • You can install custom roms. They will have latest security updates. Android 9 is running smoothly on mine :)

  • Used this phone intensively for 4 years, no issues, beautiful screen and still fast enough with Android 7.1.1, even the battery is still full capacity (3220mAh) !!!! Too bad that I got hacked because Google does not do any security updates anymore. My phone contains my most personal information and needs to be secure, so I will get an iPhone XS this weekend.

  • Best phone

  • Mine also does that whenever it starts struggling with signal reception, not so frequently though and usually shutting off the data works..

  • wow

  • I want change my Nexus 6 screen wall paper but I can't do that please sagust me how can I change

  • Does it support volte?

  • Eureka Eureka Eureka The phone used to shut down very frequently. From last 2 months I used to restart my phone Nexus 6 32 GB for 15-20 times a day. I got a solution for that and now I am only using it without a SIM card on airplane mode. No problem of automatic shut down.

  • I have had that same thing happen and what I was told by Verizon, is totally shut in down, wait a couple of minutes, and then restart. That worked for me...

  • congrts i have bought it last month.

  • There are custom roms for this device - Oreo / Pie. But most of the users recommend stock 7.1.1 for stability. Will stay now on this version until any Pie Custom rom gets stable

  • Sold my Nexus 5 Got an used Nexus 6 64gb yesterday. Upgraded to 7.1.1. Love the display.

  • It is better with the upgrade

  • I'm using Nougat 7.1.1 on my 32 GB Nexus 6 phone. It works great, and I've been using it for four years now. I love it. The only problem I've run into just a few months ago, was I had filled its memory, to 27 Gb of 29 Gb available, and had to off load 4 years worth of documents, pictures, and podcasts onto my computer just to create 5 Gb of space on the phone again. I would certainly consider using a 64Gb version, and am thinking if a new premium phone I like and trust the specs on isn't created this fall before the Christmas rush, I might consider upgrading the phone's core memory to 64 Gb, price dependent on new phone comparisons, and the price cost of the upgrade.

  • i dont thin you can do that w this phone. look atthe phone before you buy it man

  • has anyone successfully loaded nougat on the nexus 6?

  • you might be able to find parts on ifixit.com or you can try your local cell phone repair shop and they might be able to get the parts

  • What to do if Nexus 6 Camera keeps on stopping? The app can't be opened. I've researched and done some steps to fix it but it's not working. Hope you can help me

  • I just bought a second hand on ebay, maginifica screen, good battery life.

  • please how can I replace the screen.mine feel and scratched it can even show anything on the screen.how can I get the screen replacement.am from kenya

  • Yep, it's fairly simple.

  • I love this model. Can we get the battery replaced?

  • Yes, Moto X+1 and Nexus 6 are the best looking phones that I ever see. Really hope Motorola can do that

  • Of course it does. It rocks..

  • Have been loving it for past 2 years. Got the cracked display replaced on New Delhi. It's back to life. Compared new screen display with other new phones in showroom. Even today, very few phones come close in terms of colors, contrast and features. And those are really expensive. Tremendous value.

  • i am using this phone since a year and its performance is outstanding even tho its very old model but result of camera is good in day light and low light as well.

  • sorry to tell you, it can't

  • Any of the Nexus 6 owners can you please tell if this phone is good for taking low light photos. Do not write your answer according to the specs. Please write your answer based on your experience! Thank you so much!

  • been using this phone since it came out. Wireless charging,3g ram,7.1.1 ....everything I need till it dies.

  • Its a good device. Features are user friendly. Battery bk up is good with fantastic sound quality. I am loving it.

  • If you have money for buy this headset then you should have enough money for visit a Service Center

  • Moto is not capabley to give reliable service center in at least each city and showroom in each city how to trust as now owner is Chinese company

  • I just got the phone a few days ago. It has in a few months 4 years since it showed up and it s amazing.it works very good the battery still holds the camera it s exceptional..10/10

  • Mine just took its deadly fall today. The LCD completely shattered but somehow the glass didn't even have a scratch. Almost had it for three years.

  • I have this phone since 2015 and it works perfect, i love this phone!

  • Nexus 6 is very good phone I'm use this phone last 3 years it's working well.

  • Yes

  • Does moto nexus 6 support Indian 4g. Somewhere read it don't support

  • Check out the developer options which u can get by force tapping on the build number under about phone options and you can switch to your desired alignment whether it was R to L or from L to R ..

  • Just switched back to my Nexus 6. I forget how good the screen was on this phone. If Moto would update the processor and increase the storage a bit, I'd buy it again. Really ahead of it's time.

  • I still using Nexus 6, I like this design, I help Moto will refresh this phone with 19.5:8. lol.😉😉

  • I wouldn't say backwards. They have lost some durability, AKHEM nexus 6p AKHEM, but thats about it..

  • right? each time i look at it i'm amazed at how google managed to move backward on this.

  • It looks like motorola accidentally made this bezel less. This is from 2014 and it looks like a 2017 phone.

  • Suspect wrong selection of settings during the device set up. Suggest you to try the below mentioned steps. 1. Reset the phone from Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset. 2. Set up the device by selecting your country and language P.S: This will obviously erase the data from the device.

  • This is still a great budget phone for multimedia. If you want a taller screen, better battery life and can afford it...buy the OnePlus 5T.

  • It is, but it is expensive. Almost twice compared to other nexus screens I have had replaced

  • is it possible to replace a broken screen

  • You can use custom roms a lot of them are available at XDA.....

  • 3.0 am charger

  • Try searching online sellers for Motorola Nexus 6 fast charger. We have one and it works well. About 3 hours to full charge.

  • One of our Nexus 6. back cover swelled away from the rest of the phone. We sent away for repair and it was given a new battery. On its return all wording was at the right instead of left to right as normal for a UK version. We have searched everywhere for any settings to adjust it to what it should be but of no avail. We are not too keen to send it back so wonder if anyone can advise. We both prefer our Nexus 6 for size, and facilities and ease of use above some of the modern mobiles we have tried such as Galaxy S8 Plus, Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. cliff [email protected] [email protected]

  • hi everyone my nexus 6 are very slow charging around 5 hour kindly advice which can i use amper charger

  • You have to flash a custom rom...Go to youtube and type 'sixrom for nexus 6'

  • Not an "official" update. But......

  • Can i get official update on android 8.0 oreo in my nuxus 6

  • This phone is a good bargain on amazon. However if you want a smaller phone get the Moto G5 Plus

  • No, 7.1.1 Nougat was the last major update for the Nexus 6. The October 2017 security update was the last official update from Google. If you want to have Oreo on your Nexus, you'll have to flash a custom rom to it.

  • Can i upgrade my nexus 6 7.1 to Oreo?

  • Please any one can help me I just restore my nexus 6 and now my phone is lock not know my Google account kindly help me what to do version 7.1.1

  • You're obviously the Dimwitted one, since you couldn't check out the post he was alluding to and it's relevance to his statement..

  • Me also got October update containing 25 mb

  • Probably the October Security patch... lol If you leave a Nexus 6 on stock you're missing out big time. You should flash a custom ROM and kernel ;)

  • My nexus 6 got update last night .The size of it was 920MB.Still on 7.1.1. I don't know If something changed

  • Please ask me all method to 8.0!!

  • Retard, obviously it is, if you want to see the specs for the 6P search for it.

  • Err yes but this is the nexus 6 not 6p

  • Very bad experience to buy this phone?

  • Lol good joke! My Nexus 5X broke and my partner gave me his old 6p to use. I can't wait to get my 5x back. The noise-cancelling glitch that occurs during calls when using the 6p are so disruptive. Brings it way below 5x.

  • On S.I.X ROM too (Android Oreo), replaced launcher, phone and messaging app for pixel look and functionality, working perfect.

  • Well... 5X is terribly bad phone, man. Not a good option, I would buy the 6p a lot times before Nexus 5X.

  • Well, my friend... I just installed the SIX Oreo custom ROM. It's the way for now to use Oreo on the Nexus 6. Btw: I LOVE THIS PHONE.

  • I Have motrolla Nexus 6 , last time when i update 7.0 to 7.1.1 ,My Mobile is off automatically and i am very help less please help me some one....and tell me that it will launch 8.0???

  • I have moto x pro, the Chinese version of nexus 6 as mentioned in this site, but I can't upgrade my android, I have 5.0.2, can I install nexus 6 android is?

  • In my opinion the Nx6 battery is set in stone, but i would recommend a 6p or a 5x due to updates, they able to get os O.

  • I want to buy 1 is the battery good and how long can the battery last

  • Today got September update

  • cool

  • Does this phone support indian 4g bands

  • Nope... Google has already published the Nexus phones... but 6 is not included

  • No he will get android Oreo 8.0 Update and that i think will be last android

  • I think 7.1.1 is the last OS.that we get

  • will nexus 6 gets android oreo ?

  • Let me tell you one thing !! Since I first made the mark (Motorola) .. on 1997 ... I have never had a problem with this brand however he know how to use it all depends on you and your hand ... The phone whatever the brand for me this brand remains the top. And faithful and now I own a G 3gn motorcycle .. never had a problem even with other motorola references... The Nexus is good phone .. I tanks rhe company motorola and i respect them... i sm from Algeria...thanks

  • just go into settings and turn off updates

  • I upgraded me nexus 6 from 7.1.1 to 7.1.1 N8l11B. tvo weeks ago.The phone is more stable And battery is much better. Before the Bluetooth sometimes drained the battery without reason.I was thinking of upgrade my nexus 6 to a new model like oneplus 5 or xiaomi 5s plus but Now I'm gonna stick with this beast.still haven't found worthy successor.with fast upgrades.I mean why buy new high end phone like s8.and get older os than i have now? would someone buy pc with win7. and maybe. get updated to win 8 when w10 has arrived?

  • your WiFi is broken

  • need help frp baypass nexus 6 nougat 7 level security april

  • Been asked my build version : N6F27I Android security level : August 5 2017

  • Everything same as 7. No major changes battery also getting 4 to 5 on screen hours.fast charge on 90 minuites. Added an option on settings

  • How was the battery performance with 7.1.1 and also SOT.

  • I am from UAE me also got 7.1.1 with August security updates after a long ..April security updates. Build version N6F271. Reboot option included.

  • what is the build number after updating to 7.1.1?

  • Can you please tell me what is the build number after updating to 7.1.1?

  • Today i have completed the update to Nougat 7.1.1 with a cleaning of all my data and Apps from the phone. After this reset, still plenty of space with 32GB of internal memory. So far, so good. Waiting to see if any improvement on battery life.

  • Oh, Google Music equalizer seems to be working all of a sudden for Nexus 6 and my other devices too... ...that's weird but whatever :)

  • Weird that yours is working as i have further noticed that on my other devices using Google Music equalizer, it's broken on those too (and i haven't updated OS on those other decives for some time). I think it's the recent Google Music app update that ruined it. I think the next Google Music update will fix it.

  • Mine is ok after update to 7.1.1. Factory reset then, and should be fine.

  • My Nexus 6 finally received 7.1.1 update yesterday but i noticed that Google Music equalizer is broken after this update... anyone else noticed this? I mean, it's much louder now but changing between genres or bass volume doesn't do anything anymore.

  • It's because of it's sie and curved surface. When you put it in your pocket, the power button is sometimes triggered, therefore turning it off. For proof check this video, it states this problem. (funny thing is I was watching this video when I saw your comment. :) Hope this helps :)

  • Maybe she doesn't want to be reached

  • My daughter's nexus 6 is abruptly switching off for no reason. This is not only annoying but you cannot be reached by other persons for urgent and important matters. What is the reason and what is the solution?

  • your battary life

  • Great Phone. The downgrade to 7.0 has really improved from the latest upgrade. I am very happy and satisfied with this phone. The speakers are amazing.

  • I really amazing

  • Of cause this is one of the best phones I have ever used. I recently bough another one to replace my damaged Nexus 6.

  • Would you advice me to buy the Nexus six?

  • If it's not a hardware failure, you can attempt to wipe out and re-apply the google factory image to the phone -

  • This is one of the best phone's I've owned to date. Large screen, front facing stereo speakers. That is not to say their not been some hiccups along the way. Upgrade to 7.0.0 was rock solid. Upgrade to 7.1.1 was rough and had several bugs that were not ironed out until 3-4 months monthly updates latter. This included Bluetooth issues, battery draining, and speaker phone echo on the receivers end. Google confirmed it will not get 7.1.2 (or latter) but guarantees it will get monthly security updates through Oct 2017.

  • It's hanging problem no application working very very poor bettery timing what should be do now

  • My Wi-fi and Bluetooth has stopped working. Did factory Reset Network Reset Cache Clear and much but didn't worked. Kindly suggest me solution if any one have. Looking forward

  • You will be waiting for the rest of your life sadly. After they totally messed up the Nexus 6 with their last update (battery no longer accepts chargers, or will for a couple days, there are many theories but I've seen that the last update is what changed it all) they decided to discontinue Nexus phones that had a Google/Android OS, which you will also never find again. They said they wanted to pave the way for the Google Pixel phone, i think it's because after about 3 years, the battery begins to swell on the nexus 6 and makes it almost impossible to hold a charge, let alone charge it without doing it wirelessly, i also heard their newer phones made people unhappy because the screen size was smaller even though it was a plus, and that the screens would go black and never come back. If you ask me whatever their last android update was, ruined 99% of the people's Nexus'. There are thousands of people on forums really upset about this. Because now, we can't even get a new one from them, because they removed them from google stores beginning in May 2016 and totally ended it around the fall of 2016. There will be one more security update, depending on your phone... i will send you the URL for the last of updates and the last date to even call them for Nexus support. So if you have any problems now, and your timeline is not up yet, i would jump on that, because i'm really P.O.ed (it says no foul langauge but i could have dropped the F-bomb about 20 times already lol) Here's the URL, and the second URL is the full specs for the Nexus 6, i don't know what you have, but use that site to find your nexus specs and try to find one similar. You will never find one with dual speakers in the front and a whole bunch of other stuff too that i read on a forum, i'll include that URL also. Hope it helps, because I've been angry about this all day even though i should be doing my 30 page paper, i'm commiserating with other Nexus 6 people who got "messed over" by the last android update.. hope it helps! 1. a. b. 2. (which is actually where i saw your post so i'm guessing you have 6 also. 3.

  • waiting for Moto's next NEXUS Phone..

  • Thanks a lot friend... It works. uninstalled Rocket dialer and cleared catche BTW my Nexus 6 on Nought Really helpful

  • Step 1: Check your settings (settings for Android Lollipop): Settings > Sound & Notifications > App Notifications > Google Dialer: all options should be disabled by default. Settings > Sound & notification > Interruptions > When calls and notifications arrive (first item). This should be set to Always Interupt by default. Settings > Sound & notification > Interruptions > Calls. Should be enabled by default. Settings > Apps > All > Google Dialer. Show notifications should be checked by default. Step 2: Clear cache Settings > Storage > Cached Data > Clear cached data? This clears the cache (maybe some settings and user data are stored in here too) of all apps on your Nexus. Step 3: Uninstall sms / dialer apps If you are using other apps by default for dialing or text-messaging, please disable them or uninstall them to see if this helps and maybe repeat step 2 after tha

  • Thanks for your reply I uninstalled Nova launcher and restart the device but nope...

  • change the launcher

  • please i don't have may security updates and android 7.1.1

  • Help please... My Nexus 6 didn't get on while getting an incoming call, it's ringing and vibration also but didn't getting the default screen to attend the call. Thanks

  • Idk... Check here! -

  • Yepp. Thanks for pointing that out! I personally already knew this, but it is still great to share the word in case someone puts the phone in a bootloop and thinks it is broken all of a sudden! xD

  • To bad the Google Pixel was the next phone and it is super expensive.. Also it runs android 7 and can't be downgraded if you want custom features that only 6.0.1 supports. Really sucks..At least the Nexus 6 can still be bought for 299.99 on Amazon! I am going to get another one when my Nexus 6 hits the bucket.

  • Same... I am on Verizon and Verizon don't sell this phone anymore.. You can still get the phone unlocked on Amazon for $300 tho. I am going to do it the next time I need another phone. The new phones are not much better compared to the Nexus 6.. + it can run 6.0.1! Most newer phones can't which means they can't have Xposed.. Of coarse custom ROM support will always great on google related phones.

  • I have been fine with 32GB of storage.. I could see if you like to take a lot of photos and video then you may just want to go get a gopro instead of using the Nexus 6 or other related phones on low storage.

  • Yes. This phone is amazing.. My top tier phone even today.

  • Just wait dude.. Go do research on how to flash a custom ROM on the Nexus 6 and install Xposed with Lspeed when you root the phone. The experience you will have is SOOO much better than the experience you will have on android nougat.

  • Nope I don't have this problem. I have had my phone for 2 years.

  • Dude just figure out how to flash TWRP to the phone and install a custom ROM that has 7.0.1 or above. I am using the custom ROM "Dirty Unicorns." The codename for the Nexus 6 is Shamu. Go get your flash on! :)

  • In my personal opinion the Nexus 6. I have the least issues with this phone when doing any technical stuff like flashing ROMS and giving the phone root. Also if you ever make a mistake, google hosts a application that you can download to fix the Nexus 6 if it has a bootloop to make it like brand new again. I am using Dirty Unicorns 6.0.1

  • I am running Android 6.0.1 with Dirty Unicorns ROM. Using Xposed, Lspeed, Kernel Auditor. Oh also check out the Pulse messaging app on the play store. You can pay $10.99 for a life time of use so you can txt message with Chromium/Chrome Extension.. I use it on a daily basis for my messaging app. I also use OGInsta+ for Instagram XPrivacy in Xposed.

  • This phone has by far given me the best android experience.. Just like the Nexus 5 the Nexus 6 allows you to install ROMs of almost all types. It allows you to go to Googles website in case you bootloop your phone and tells you how step by step to repair it. Everything I have tried on this phone, using rootkits to root and flash TWRP to the phone work flawlessly. Getting into bootloader and going to recovery (TWRP) works flawlessly. Using root to save battery by making the resolution smaller works great(1080p). I have no issues with this phone other than if you don't root the phone or install a custom ROM your experience WILL (and I meant to put those caps) not be as good as mine. If you don't know what I am talking about check out this ROM named Dirty Unicorns and look for the code name "Shamu." Code name Shamu is the code name for the Nexus 6. Also another fact about why I am not leaving this phone(Yet). Once Xposed is supported for android nougat 7.0 and above then I will switch to another phone but it is not.. So to me right now a phone with 6.0.1 and below are superior to android 7.0. Do the research on Xposed as well, because you will want too. Also check out the apps that require root named Lspeed, Terminal Emulator, Kernel Adiutor, and especially like I mentioned Xposed.

  • great mobile ever i saw..really great performance ..i have no words to say i have used all type of cellphones but this is gorgious

  • great device in 2017 sold it to get lg g4 now getting one back g4 battery sucks big time more color in my socks than lg display lol

  • The series of phones I went through started with an iPhone 4 to the note 2, note 3, then a nexus 6. Unfortunately the reason I gave up on my nexus 6 is because I wanted iPhone again due to having an iPad, iMac,'and MacBook Pro. But the nexus 6 has the best version of android with the most beautiful body visually and physically. I mean you just want to touch it all the time. Motorola did a fantastic job on assembling the phone as far as ergonomics go. It's too bad they don't still make a phone like this and this big because I'd buy in a heartbeat even with my iPhone 7 plus.

  • It uses facial recognition not an iris scanner. I can confirm that the nexus 6 does indeed have this feature as I'm using it currently with mine.

  • Today in 2017 this is an amazing phone nice 2k amoled display.. great battery life and sound. Would recommend 100% in 2017 Previous G4 owner got this instead. G4 battery is crap

  • How is your post Nougat experience with this beast? Battery life has improved as in could you just give the stats about in SOT and overall usability till it gives all out. I'm not much of a gamer hence would like to get an idea about the overall battery performance. I do mostly browsing, YouTube, connected to 4G LTE round the clock. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

  • I don't know whats better for second hand nexus 6 or iphone 6 plus please tel us your opinion thank youuuu.

  • how to start screen mirroring in moto nexus 6 without chromecast on samsung smart tv

  • Settings >security >screen locks >pattern > There is an option for face scanning

  • probably not,There is no iris scanner on nexus 6

  • You can download OTA image 7.1.1 I am running official 7.1.1

  • Can anybody tell me what SAR value has the european version XT1100 of Nexus 6? Thanks!

  • Still stuck on android nougat 7.0 and no updates for 7.1 either, only get security updates at april 1st 2017 .. i hope new updates release soon as possible, thx google

  • LTE bands support is a HW issue, no update will fix it

  • Is anyone using iris scanner on Nexus 6?

  • Does we gonna get volte support for Jio bands for nexus 6 in coming update.... If not this phone will become shit. Where Jio supports 3 5 40 bands. Where Nexus support for 3 5 41. Will this problem can be resolve through update.

  • Well hope google updates there 2 year old launcher app. I updated to a similar but different launcher and the lag is gone

  • nexus 6 will not get any update now.. nougat is the final update...

  • just got this phone from used item from local store. if someone facing problem like random reboot or crashes, just flash custom rom for this device. Running custom rom with 0 problem.

  • Different class, OP3 buggy OS, crap hardware. Try motorola x force, z force or fujitsu Arrows (both IT's recomendation hardware)

  • False info

  • oneplus 2 because Motorola 6 it gets very hot after playing 1.5-2 hrs and after 7 days it gets kinda slow but still id prefer moto 6

  • For those who are waiting for 7.1.1 upgrade, you must do it manually. There is no more OTA by Google as Nexus 6 is over 2 years service period. You can manually download the upgrade image from official Google download site and do a sideload to your N6. I've been with 7.1.1 for a month, so far so good. Just do a Google search for"sideload Nexus", there are tons of helps you can find. Good luck.

  • -Nexus 6 has good performance but very bad battery. The phone would last me 2-2:30 hours playing game :|. It would last 3-4 hour watching video and surfing web. I have to bring the charger with me constantly and it is very annoying. I have to charge it 3 times a day which is bad. -The phone can get very hot during gaming and charging. The adhesive under plastic back cover is melted because of the heat after a year of usage, that makes the phone no longer water resistance imo. -The sound quality is amazing i would say, with dual speaker. It can get pretty loud. -If you plan on purchasing the Nexus 6 i would get a used/refurbished on for like $100-$150. Other than that, go for other phone like the OnePlus 3(T), Honor 8, Leeco Le pro 3, Leeco Le Max 2, ZTE Axon 7, ect.

  • Btw, i still haven't got 7.1.1 ota update for my N6... why it takes so long? I mean, we are talking about Google, not Samsung or LG :D

  • It has gotten 7.1.1 but won't be getting 7.1.2 as per Google..

  • Hey there guys, If you love stock android go for the Nexus 6...it's a good deal. However, if you want something a little better....there's the OnePlus 3 that supports DashCharging Technology

  • Nexus 6 for sure

  • Nexus 6 or OnePlus 2? I have the chance to get one or the other - used, but really like new, for the same price.

  • What false info is this....

  • Then how my Nexus 6 got the 7.0 as a OTA-update? Yeah, I'm not confusing it with Nexus 6P, it's a whole different phone not made by Motorola. 7.1.1 is available for Nexus 6 too, but has a speakerphone-related bug so I won't update until there is a official fix. If they don't fix it, I just install some 3rd party fix for the bug. :)

  • I have been using this beast from past year....this is very good build. I was a little frustrated without 7.1.1 update and flashed it manually from google developer site and would like to say its worth it. its got new looks and feel and all bugs have been fixed and battery lasts a little longer compated to 7.0....Love it Nexus

  • The nexus 6 won't be getting Android Nougat. It was planned too but since it is over the two year make they decided not to push the update.

  • so far , the best phone i had so far. long battery life and amazing sound/screen . allso great for developing .

  • great phone amazing quality display sound all latest updates still rocks in 2017 and beast the pixal having reviewed both nexus 6 comes out on top

  • I have nexus 6 on february 1st 2017 @ US$299, 3gb and 32gb version .. And now update for android 7.0 (nougat, right?), happy with this purchase in this year finally ..

  • What does being Quard Core,Dual Core,Octa Core or Deca Core has to do with anything, last time I checked Apple Chips are Dual Core and yet trumps anything else in the market.. Meanwhile Mediatek Deca Core Chips are nothing to write about..don't be bamboozled by numbers cause it means absolutely nothing in the REAL World..

  • Can we compare its stereos with moto x style's?? moto x style has placed serious stereo speakers. this time with extra features... Quad core..really?? works well?? and about camera, hows its camera?? front and rear, both...plz help...

  • The great of all times wallah dalfna

  • It's in the eyes of the beholder. .

  • AMOLED display not at all good for the eyes.

  • If you want, you can re-image your device with the official Andriod Factory for the Nexus 6.

  • I just purchased Nexus 6 on first of February and I had to say I absolute love the performance of the device camera is average not the best battery gives me 5 hours usage time or somewhat more heavy games browsing extremely smooth no issues at all And I purchased after using LG g4

  • Love it

  • i dont get 7.1.1 when i get?

  • Can someone comment if it is still worth buying Nexus 6. I am looking for a mobile with good performance within $340 (20k INR). Please let me know if there is any other mobile to consider. Thanks in advance!

  • Staged updates, OTA's can take a while to reach your device. You could try side-loading the update to your phone, it does the same thing OTA would do. I also think I'm going to do that, if the OTA doesn't appear available sometime soon.

  • My Nexus6 up to now not received the latest version 7.1.1. Why ?

  • So Nexus 6 has gotten its last Android-update, which is the 7.1.1. Won't be getting 7.1.2 or others after that, but they will release security updates still. Well, I was already going to switch to a new phone in 5 months. It has been great 1,5 years with my Nexus. Shame that Nexus-line is killed and replaced with the ugly Pixels, so I'm off to something else then.

  • Today getting OTA update for Moto Nexus 6 about 830 mb

  • Today I got January security update.. Nd waiting for 7.1

  • Nexus 6 or iPhone 6? Which one should I buy?

  • I have this phone for almost 2 years and I will keep it till will "die". Pros about this phone: -2K amoled display and 6" -dual front speakers -design -fast charging: ~40-50 minutes full charge -Android from 5.0 to 7.1.1 -good battery life (mine last about 2 days with wifi,4g,internet browsing and calls) Note that I switch wifi and 4g OFF when I don't use them. -verry good camera with HDR+ images Cons about phone: -if you play games the battery will not last long -large games from EA and Ubisoft will have LAG on this phone bevause they are not optimised corectly -having 2K screen will consume most of the battery so be careful when you play or watch for a long time videos -it is a quad core phone, but when it reaches 15% battery (even if you did not switch to power saving mode) it will shut down 2 cores in order to save battery (you can root the device and enable them all the time, but the battery will drain faster so I do not recommand it,because I testes myself and it is not worth) -large phone in wour pocket and in hand, but you will get used to it To summ it up: This phone is verry good if you want 4G phone with pure Android, dual front speakers, awesome camera for pictures and beautiful screen. This is not a gaming device if you want it for.Go for iPhone,Pixel or Samsung S7 if you want gami g. Thanks and I hope this was helpful ;)

  • Guys i am going to buy Nexus 6. I need feedback of this phone. Should i go for it...

  • You do realize it says resistant... meaning it only will resist for a short time... no where does it say water proof...

  • It says this is waterproof.. But it's completely wrong.. Don't buy this piece of shit.. go for nexus 5X or any other phone

  • 7.1.1 work fine for me

  • Don't do the 7.1.1 update right away. It's loaded with bugs!

  • Get an Apple phone and don't get close to Google! After launnching Pixel, Google has ditched all the Nexus owners. Not only we don't get all the updates anymore, my phone has not received last months's update which has been received by all other Nexus. They say last minute bug caused it, of course, selling Pixel doesn't leave time for fixing their "old" Nexus phones ...

  • my phone is running on 7.0 only , when will i receive 7.1 update its going so late ...

  • loooooolllllllllllll mate

  • None of what you just said makes any sense whatsoever.

  • anyone got 7.1.1 update in india?? should I skip december security patch and update to 7.1.1

  • I do not know what else man could look out from one phone , if ya can call it like that ..... I THINK THAT I'VE FOUND A PHONE FOR A LIFETIME , btw I'm pushing 43 .... long story short , my experience with my "li'l buddy" Nexus is surprisingly GOOD. That's the way to make a phone . Yes , I know that I can't go under the water and take a photo , but , as clumsy as I am , and he has survived it all , just can say - THAT'S IT . Too dependable to Google , yes , that's the fact , but , hey , they can really help ya in an almost everything. WAY 2 GO , MY RESPECT TO THE MANUFACTURER . I just can imagine what Nexus 7 is goin' to look like when this is so AWESOME ??? THANKS ONCE MORE TO WHOLE CREW WHO WAS DEVELOPING THIS "LITTLE" JOY ... And for people who bought one , I'd congratulate to all of you for a such a good taste. CHEERS FROM CROATIA

  • What kind of English is that?Unbelievable.

  • Check system updates in the settings app, in settings scroll to about phone then click updates,,,,,if you want to do it manually, flash With ADB and Fastboot, or put phone into bootloader and flash with Nexus Root toolkit and use the 'flash stock feature'. But back up your data first

  • My phone is 2 years old. Besides lagging for the past 6 month, now it is shutting down abruptly. What to do?

Android 7.0 came and they still never came up with a solution to change the balance of colors. I had to root the phone in order to make that happen.

I cannot download some apps from play store, it says that is not compattible with my device,(I booted already and still failing) and some games easy to run, like dream league soccer has become lagy also... that never happens with 6.0.1 marshmallow, I hope google can fix that with 7.1 ...well... I hope 7.1 reach nexus 6...

  • Battery not good, need to be around a power source to fully charge in middle of the day., camera excellent.

  • I have this phone, battery life is huge disappointment, I charge it up twice a day otherwise when I leave the office it is dead or dies on the way home. Storage is great, lately, I have been running into memory problems, still on 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Camera is excellent and easy to use.

  • How I am running the OFFICIAL 7.0 on my Nexus 6? It's rumored to get 7.1 as well and that's where the support's going to end. Only rumors, though - 7.0 could also be the last one this phone ever received.

They roll out based on some pattern that is beyond me but it should be on its way to you. You can also DL it directly if you sign up for the Beta program but unless you are a gear head might be better to wait. Good luck

  • as i upgrade my nexus 6 to Nougat my phones battery draining rapidly what should i do now??? marshmallow was much better, no hanging problem no battery issues any suggestions for me now what to do??????

  • Be careful when updating OTA via Mobile Data, if you are downloading the update in a poor signal area and loose data conection, you could very well have vital files from the update missing when installing. I had this problem and ended up having to re flash the operating system to the phone. If you can, just use WI FI or at least make sure you have a very strong data connection.

  • Did you update over Mobile data connection ?

  • 7.1 preview 2 is coming for Nexus 6 in November. We also get the final version of 7.1 as well. Read this from XDA.

  • I think it was actually the first one to support it as far as I remember... But yes, it does.

  • Still wait for nogut update in n6

  • Guys I need advice. Turbo 2 or Nexus 6?

  • Hi, It may be an issue with your display guard/cover. if you have pasted a display guard, see whether it covers the proximity sensor of your phone... there MUST be a little cut or hole in the display guard to keep the proximity sensor exposed.

  • during calling the screen become dark i cannot see the dialing pad and other option please help me on this

  • I just update my Nexus 6 to 7.0 Nougat last 2 weeks a go. Better improvement for battery life. I can spend with my nexus 6 for a day even im surfing play music and mssging. I love My Nexus 6 with Android N.

  • Hello, I just got a security update yesterday. Is the Nougat update soon to follow ?

  • Nougat is out for the N6 as of almost two weeks ago. You'll get it as an OTA update incrementally, but you're better off just going to the Google page and downloading it. and download either the OTA (upgrade) for "shamu" or the full system image (best choice, but you need to learn to use Android SDK and executing it to the T will wipe your phone completely).

  • Downloaded android 7.0 from android.com/beta and fortunately a final version.. super snappy, battery improved and considerable change in yellowish screen to bluish one which looks good...

  • 4g is supported in India or not please notify me

  • I got nougat updates and its amazing . nice features and fast speed. No problem still .

  • Still Waiting in Kansas City

  • Mumbai

  • any one got nexus 6 ota 7.0 i still waiting...........

  • your location....

  • Hi, I am also from India - I upgraded to 7.0 yesterday only and belive me its just super smooth & UI is too good. what I did was enroll to beta version on androd.com/beta - enrolled my device - updated, restarted. After restart - unenrolled. Phone stayed on 7.0 and did not go back to Marshmellow. Upon checking I found that its not a beta version and is a stable release with Oct security patch. Then made a full back up - and then made a factory reset....its awesome.

  • hey n6 user.. I updated to 7.0 but still VOLTE an't available on my device despite my carrier support VOLTE service. Anyone who enable VOLTE on n6 device, plz share how to enable.

  • Still waiting for update (India) 7.0 update

  • Guys , Google has updated that policy several months ago . Nexus 6 will get updates until this years main Android version (Nougat). That means that N6 will continue getting all versions of Nougat .. (7.1 , 7.2 , etc) until the launch of Android 8 ... which will be the End of support date . You checked out that link and discovered that N5 end date was Oct 2015 , but what really happened was that N5 received all MM updates until 6.0.1 . Hope you guys understood my weak English .

  • Using that link and it still says N6's quaranteed support will end October 2016, not 2017.

  • Oh, so that's why :) I don't have any Nougat betas installed, just stock 6.0.1 with latest security patch. Well, waiting continues...

  • dude.. its n6 page and m talking about n6 here. I know google will provide suport for 6p n 5x till next year but still update for n6 is mystery:P

  • Sir according to your given link it is October 2016, not 2017

  • Here you go

  • Do you have DP5 on your phone or are you running the stock Marshmallow? I got my Nougat so fast probably because I had the Developer Preview 5 on my phone and was enrolled to the Beta-program.

  • official anouncement link plz.

  • Not true entirely, because looks like one user from Finland who has posted here has already received update but i haven't and i'm from Finland too.

  • Google announced that nexus 6 will be supported until Oct 2017 .

  • The OTA's appeared 2 days ago, it depends where are you located.

  • does nexus6 support volte???

  • Still no OTA for me :/ Perhaps next week then...

  • I have been enrolled in the beta program for about 3 months. I received the 7.0 update on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016. I don't know if I will get the 7.1 version since this will be the last update for the Nexus 6 since Google only updates their devices for 2 years. It's now time to upgrade to the Pixel XL to keep my software updated from kinks and security flaws. I do have McAfee Live Safe installed to keep me protected as well as Freedome VPN.

  • Oh, I'm also from Finland.

  • How to update this version.. My mobile version is 5.0 When I m try to upgrade after failed this.. Why guyzz. Please help me.

  • Um in Iceland got 7.0 Ota this morning

  • Wiiii, Updated to Nougat since 7 hours ago :)

  • Just enrol to Android beta, update and then unenrol. You won't get a factory reset, but you will get the Nougat update (as stated there NOT DP5) cheers.

  • I got mine already too, just enrol for the Android beta. And you'll get it. Cheers.

  • Factory images are out .. developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#shamu Either flash that factory image , Or wait for OTA .

  • Where are you guys from? No OTA Nougat for me yet :/ Europe, always late...

  • I Got Nougat Update .

  • Got ota.But can't see anything new from the latest beta.

  • I got my OTA today. Android 7.

  • That was fast receiving OTA update already :O Where are you from? I checked mine and no OTA yet here in Finland.

  • Found no update so far.

  • The official 7.0 is now out. :) Got mine already as a OTA.

  • If you want to be hugely optimistic, then yes but i`m pretty sure it`s only going to be 7.0 once it is ready to be rolled out.

  • you get the white charging bolt because it is fast charging, it fast charges up to 30% I believe

  • Because they may release directly to android 7.1, I guess

  • why do i getting a white lightning bolt when charging my phone? usually its black. and my phone takes 8 hrs to fully charge. charging slowly it says

  • It was never an actual Google Nexus device. It's like the Moto x and Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

  • It doesn't work, says "internal server error"

  • Look at this:

  • After 38 days of release Android 7 Nexus 6 doesn't get it yet.. my sympathies with other brands owners who having hopes to get newest version of Android on their devices.. Very disappointing behavior by Google this time 😖

  • Um enrolled in beta.ond those are OTA.Idk.when official 7.comes

  • Have u get the beta version ,As i enrolled but nothing was pushed towards mine N6. OTA not realesed till now.

  • I'm still on beta version of nougat

  • Have someone got Nouget??? :-(

  • I also tried the free version which didn't work , And I couldn't purchase the full version .

  • Thanks.. I tried its free version but it doesn't..

  • I don't know what type of bugs they are but i have discussed about 7.0 update OTA delay on "Nexus phones forum" by Google, one of their mentor answer me about it that after launching the new os we are fixing some bugs and other things which needs to be fix by complaining the users who got Nouget in very 1st phase, it may be N6p users who found things to be fixed on new one os update, anyway Google is really "Big" and they should care of their Tag before doing this kind of things..

  • Good choice .

  • Actually , I was searching for such a good call recorder but finally I discovered an app called "Boldbeast" . This app provides a lot of profiles per devices . They put setup instructions for N6 on their web site , so check it out. I couldn't however use that app because I don't purchase it :(

  • What bugs Nomi?

  • i just bought one, its going to be delivered friday, i hope it will be good , the price was extremely low less than a third of iphone 6s !

  • Disappointed . Google is kidding with us on behalf of nougat 7.

  • I have the same problem,my voice is clear but the others is very low.I have tried 2.recorders.

  • This is just about to win the race by iPhone, Google announced and then launched 7.0 without tasting and fixing the bugs bcz iPhone 7 was come with IOS 10, they just wanted to launch their OS before them, and now results are Infront of us.. they won the race in term of launching first, but they losses to get in "over the air" before them, now iphone's 4 to 5 years models have their latest os just within 15 days after launching and we Android Nexus users still waiting after a whole month yet.. Google should change their service calling words which is "ok Google" "Sorry Google" is the good one in current scenario :-/

  • 1. Why os nougat so long showed up at the motorola nexus 6?

  • IOS Rocks this time.. at least in term of sending OTA to their devices ;)

  • Please help me to find a perfect working call recorder for my nexus 6. I had already checked call recorder pro and another one. But both of it recorded.. But my voice is only clear and loud, callers voice is too much low to hear.. Thanks

  • Amazed this time and also cant understand why there is no response from google side, whenever u asked anything they just replied we realesed in batches hope u will get in few weeks. Almost a month and still we received in weeks.

  • Hmmm.. hope so, but really disappointing by Google this time, the core benefit to use Nexus devices is getting immediate updates, but now this is about a month ago and we didn't get it yet 😖 on the other side IOS 10 has been hit even iPhone 4s which is 4 years old model.. 😏

  • Ya i enrolled but than leave tbe program without getting updates. I hope it will strike soon normally

  • It will take max 24 hours according to Google instructions, i also visited to the page but i am not interested to run beta program on my device, that's why i left without enrollment..

  • Almost 6 hours , enrolled for beta version but nothing happens. What the hell is going on this time? Can any one explain how much time it will take after enrolling ?

  • Ok thanks for this info, let me know one more thing plz, if i won't get this beta version so would i eligible to get regular public release? Or its necessary to get beta first to get public release final version??

  • Just go join the Android 7 beta and get the release version..... then un-enroll and you won't get a beta. You won't have to wipe your phone since the current beta version is the actual September release version.... Go...now! Why are you still here?

  • battery drain on nougah is extremely low,i mean very very low web browsing suffers big battery drop, unsure if is related to Nougah, from fully charged the phone will last 3,5hrs constantly watching you tube

  • Did u got OTA update?? If yes so where are you from?

  • my nexus is verry fine running with 7.0

  • Its not yet released for Nexus 6 after more then 3 weeks of Google's announcement of releasing Nouget 7.0, we all users still waiting.. So much disappointment this time 🙁😕

  • Solution can only be found at At&t . Google and Motorola can't help you !

  • I have been using my Nexus 6 for a long time and my wife bought the same 2 months later and both are using AT&T. Her Nexus 6 got the Marshmallow updated for a few months now but mine still using Android 5.1.1 I called AT&T and was told to go to their AT&T owned outlets to get a solution and found out they couldn't help. Instead, the manager their referred me to Google and Google technician told me they can't upgrade my phone and referred me to Motorola who told me the upgrade can only be done by service provider, in my case, i.e AT&T. I don't know who on earth can help me out on this because one of the reason for buying Nexus is the updating. I use Nexus since Samsung Nexus and this is the worst experience I have.

  • Perhaps you have covered the sensor with screen protector or something. Try to remove the protector and see what happened

  • How to update Nougat 7

  • Nice Motorola nexus 6 phone gd battery backup

  • Does anyone else with the Nexus 6 have a problem with the sound cutting out (lowering) on them while playing media? I've had two N6s and they've both done this!

  • Yeah its really strange :-/

  • This is google for us my friend.... Cant understand for whom this 7.0 is launched. #irritated

  • What the hell??? I have just got a security update as usual, not 7.0 :(

  • how z the front cam friends. .

  • the world best phone is nexus if you don't believe my words so use it my friends

  • Moto g 4 plus

  • 6P's just received Nougat update today ! It's coming soon for N6.

  • Yeah, what's taking this long? I thought quick updates were Nexus devices strong point... ...have newer Nexus devices even got Nougat by now?

  • I'm still waiting also

  • Don't worry about market value. Market value are not based on phones quality. there are many factors apart from the mobile that decide the market value. Our phone holds up really well and does not ditch when needed. That's all we need. :-)

  • No idea on when N will be officially released for it. The N preview 5 is great though. I've been running it since it came out and would same in every way its better and more stable than MM.

  • does nexus support VoLTE ?

  • For anyone wondering. The beta 7.0 update for the Nexus 6 is stable from what i experienced (Very little). However the only reason why im switching back to 6.0.1 is because Xposed isnt update for 7.0 just yet.

  • Anyone have any idea how much time it will take to get nougat for nexus 6 ...? Is beta version stable for nexus 6 ?

  • Has any Nexus 6 got Nougat already? Mine is still on 6.0.1 :/

  • is nexus6(international version) VOLTE support guys??

  • d best phone ever

  • haha adreno 420...

  • Please tell us what was your best phone.

  • You must be the only person I know who have had issues with the N6, iv had mine a year and a half, and for me it's the best Android phone iv owned to date, and iv been using android phones since the launch of Google's first smartphone T-Mobile G1, gaming gets a little laggy at times depending on what game but that's all for me.

  • Haven't had this problem happening on my Nexus 6 during the one year of usage.

  • WTF r u talking about! I've been using this phone for 6 months, never experienced any kind of problems !! Perhaps yours is refurbished or even a Chinese copy. LOL

  • The Motorola Nexus 6 is the worst phone I have ever had. The screen freezes, particularly when you're receiving a call and trying to answer it. I personally have 3 friends who have the same phone and are experiencing the same problems. The only reason to purchase this phone is if you need more stress in your life.

  • when moto g4 plus will get Android 7 update

  • I also have nougat beta and have no issues. But I thought It was rolling out.for nexus 6p week ago,but maybe not

  • No, as it's not released for Nexus 6 yet. I heard there's something wrong with LTE, Google has to fix that problem before release. My beta-Nougat works flawlessly, no idea why it's not official yet.

  • Has anyone got official nougat?

  • no, did you ?

  • Nope, but i hope soon...

  • The first phone to get Nougat officially will be LG V20

  • 1,2 are OK .. But 3 , Battery is good . Check battery optimisation setting to define which apps shouldn't work in background. 4- Agree with u . After all , this phone is awesome in its price range . For alternatives , we're in 2016 , so you shouldn't suggest such an old phone like Note 4. but I'd rather suggest other newer phones such as : Motorola moto X Style • Nexus 5X • Sony Xperia Z3+ • Samsung Galaxy S6 Or just pay more 50$ to get the killer OnePlus 3 .

  • Has anyone got official nougat?

  • If you are looking for bigger screen(like me)than it makes it better.

  • I used Nexus 6 more than 1 year, so I have some advices for you. This device is really awesome. This is still powerful enough for any games. Cons: 1. Display. Not very bright, the colors at minimum brightness become very warm. Motorola used old generation of AMOLED-displays for this Nexus, so it's very "greedy". After day of usage open Settings -> Battery and look how much charge your display eat, mine "eats" 6% per hour. 2. CPU frequency it too high (2.7GHz), so your device will be warm very often. 3. Battery days really fast. Because of screen and CPU you battery will drain very fast. Seriously. Even faster than Nexus 5X, which has smaller battery. 4. Really bad front camera. Just 2Mp, Note 4 is much better. Resume: This phone is really good and cheap, you can find new one just for $330-350. But I advice you to spend some more money and buy Note 4, which has better camera and good battery. But only N6 will get Android 7.0, Note will stay on Marshmallow

  • Nexus 6 for sure.

  • I'm a nexus addict and I've been owning nexus 6 for 6 months . Generally, Nexus 6 is pretty awesome . I haven't use m9 , but I do remember negative reviews and users complaining about it's problems such as heating , disappointing camera and weak battery performance . Which made HTC launched a new version called m9+ resolving all previous problems . I like HTC actually especially after the beautiful htc 10 . but m9 isn't better than N6 in my opinion .

  • Hello guys.... Nexus 6 or htc one m9??

  • Since some carriers of LTE in India are at present supporting Band 3(1800) voila i have Idea 4G working flawlessly on my Nexus 6. That was previously a drawback as most suggested that Nexus 6 wont support LTE in India. I was happy as a 3G user now I am even more happier as I am able to use my Nexus 6 even on LTE bands. Thanks Motorola Google and Nexus 6

  • When I check my Nexus 6 using CPU-Z App. My battery is detected as Li-Ion. Isn't supposed to be Li-Po instead?

  • I am immensely happy with my motorola nexus 6. The huge size, the camera, the display and the best that i like... its looks... MY O MY.... blackberry, i phone, meizu etc etc etc,.... all look smart.... but i didn't want a smart phone which looks SMART.... i like it wild.. so... this is the perfect phone which is hell lot of smart and beyond. inside... but from outside.... its looks are killing.... believe me... every one stalks at an i phone in hand... but when NEXUS 6 is in your hand... the world tries to figure AND keeps thinking and guessing... "what is it...." "a phone belonging to aliens" ha ha... and when that dual ring flash, is in action..... its a moment of pride... coz very few phones now a days have such a unique dual ring flash... seeing which everyone is amazed... and seeing which i get a super ego boost... he he he just that its a bit disheartening.. since i purchased it in 35000 and now we know, where it stands... but its absolutely okay... prices will fall but the phone in present deters.... its value just waiting for the official android n update.... love you NEXUS6 till date 9/8/2016.. none other phone has stolen my core... proud of my nexus6 NEXUS6 you forever...........

  • using Moto Turbo .. best in all versions of motorola

  • bigger screen don't make it better, I guess.

  • Except that 6P has a smaller display, which is a damn shame.

  • Motorola is better

  • Huawei made nexus 6P which is better of course from every aspect.

  • Motorola nexus 6 or hawaui nexus 6,which is better..??

  • Motorola nexus 6 or hawaui nexus 6,which is better..??

  • Happy to be owning Nexus 6 64gb Midnight blue. Crystal clear huge display. Wonderful Battery Backup. Used Android N 5 preview pack flawless. Back to MM 6.0.1. Bootloader unlocked. Rooted. Custom recovery. Using CM 13 with open Gapps and M9 theme. A smartphone so beautiful now which I have never seen earlier. Go with Nexus 6 guys , You will never repent. It is a old horse with still potential Power. It is a beast. Happy times with Nexus 6.

  • This has never worked for me (UI Tuner, doesn't show up when I long-press the Settings-button)... Do I have to have system animations on or not have Developer Settings on, or what is the problem here? :o

  • Long press on setting near clock to make phone more cooler, enjoy

  • It´s too expensive ( around $150 ) Buy a nexus 5x instead. Same price. It´s a great phone. The camera is very good - both for pictures and video. Very good mic also.

  • Search on ebay or Amazon , And be careful for fake sellers .

  • Factory reset should help if your phone is not broken hardware-wise.

  • My Nexus 6 screen has been broken, where should I get another screen to re place?

  • I bought this phone 9 months ago for 32,000 INR now it's 20,000INR. Till date I've never bought a phone which lost it's value so fast. :(

  • i m using android N [7.0] on my nexus6 ... super fast and excellent phone

  • Nexus 6 is far superior.

  • Im using Nexus 6 for almost 1.5 years. I could say this is the phone i never fed up with. Pros: Amoled Display, Water resistant, Fast , Good batery life, fast Charging, OTA updates, good feel in hands. Loud dual speakers. High signal reception compared to other phones. Cons: if your display broken, its very expensive to replace. Overall excellent.

  • If you have updated to 6.0.1 with OTA updates without flashing a Custom Rom means you really have issue. Its almost imposible to happen wih Stock OTA updates

  • Hi I had LG G3 for a year, really good phone, battery ok not great, then I got G4 and in my opinion only Camera is better, I think G3 was smoother, so sent it back. Got Nexus 5x last week in sale, I love it, I used to have Nexus 4 years ago. My wife needs new phone so thinking get Nexus 6 for me and give her 5x but don't want to be stuck with 6 if it's not great!?

  • My wife owns LG G4, for its price range it is well worthed, the camera is great, it has dual sim dan SD card slot. all you need is available here...

  • If you need a better camera , external memory card and removable battery : Choose G4. If you need a better performance , better screen , better sound experience and longer update support : Choose Nexus 6

  • lg g4 ? or nexus 6?

  • Droid Turbo has more battery capacity .

  • my nexus 6 screen is broken, don't have servicing centre to replace it.

  • Critics are always there. but i am using this phone from last 1 year.....Awesome mobile phone this is.......Very nice design and good battery and camera.....Software is the best thing ....I am using Android 7.0 Nougat beta program........I am only among my friends using this firmware.....unlike Samsung and other buggy devices

  • hi please, nexus6 and droid turbo which has strong battery? thank you

  • Learn to write in English properly...back it up with some facts...

  • brought my nexus 6 and before it was 12 months old it gave up the ghost it took Motorola 4 weeks to fix it then the screen cracked [ which cost me £130 ] having complained to Motorola 2 weeks ago im still waiting for there response

  • the phone is great but donot buy the device as they have serious service issues. Lenovo service quality is not good at all. if any problem arises they will take their own time to rectify the fault,

  • Moto X Style is not the best!! That Nexus 6 from Motorola is far better than Moto X Style!

  • I purchased this phone August of 2015. This phone is STILL A BEAST. The large screen running Android 6.0.1 with CyanogenMod version 13. I am happy and would recommend the NEXUS 6 to anyone looking for a Beastmode phone for a very affordable price.

  • this phone is just not The Best but it is The Beast phone i love it. In over all use phone is totally great hatss off Nexus 6 :)

  • Moto X Style is better

  • Good phone but i updated to 6.0.1 its waste wifi and Bluetooth not working in 6.0.1 version otherwise good Nice backup camera clarity looking stylish nice performance help to solve wifi and Bluetooth issue.

  • Nice mobile ,pretty good

  • Nexus 6 is better, Plus : It'll receive Android "N" update .

  • I tried the beta version of N on my Nexus 6. Very unstable. switched back to 6.0.1. I can't recommend it in its current beta incarnation. Try it at your own risk

  • Hello all. I just want to ask for your opinion. Which is a better buy? This nexus 6 or samsung note 4. Thank you.

  • ANY Body Get the Latest Android N Update to Nexus 6

  • nexus 6

  • X style, no complain. G4 has boot loop. Moto is the best, always the first made new innovation, other copy paste only

  • Extra display. Fast phone and baterry long time. I love nexus 6 Recomended

  • how can i bought nexus 6????

  • how can i bought nexus 6????

  • Got my nexus 6 three days ago and loving it already. Awesome display, super snappy and upgraded to Marshmallow insantly! Battery is pretty good, could be better but its much better than my previous Samsung. Its much lighter and slimmer than I expected it to be. Size of the phone will take some getting used to but it isn't that big of a hindrance. All in all I think I'm going to love this phone. 👍

  • maybe the nexus 6 was responsible for his divorce, thus the comment

  • Nexus 6 indeed. Ultimate phone. No bloatware.. superb speed. All update are first served to Nexus than any other Android. Future proof - Nexus line is the only phone where you get Android updates for the entire life span of your phone. Even 4 yr old lg Nexus 4 is running Android marshmallow. So this Motorola Nexus 6 will get updated to upcoming Android N and all other subsequent Android updates in due course. Im just loving my moto Nexus 6

  • Snapdragon 805 is better than 808 . Watch reviews .

  • I'ts hard to explain because my poor English, you can Google that issue. They have failures in the motherboard. I've one dead G4 because I bought an international version from Amazon without warranty

  • LG G4. Slightly better processor, much more better camera, not so big, card slot, removable battery. Be careful do not buy one G4 with serial number 5xxxxx.., only buy the 6xxxxxxx

  • Which is better, LG G4 or Motorola Moto X Style?.

  • What's wrong with the 5xxx serial numbers?

  • LG G4. Slightly better processor, much more better camera, not so big, card slot, removable battery. Be careful do not buy one G4 with serial number 5xxxxx.., only buy the 6xxxxxxx

  • i am using this phone it is realy good in gaming performance and it is flexibly to keep on hand

  • I'm trying to decide this phone or LG G4. What do you all recommend and why?.

  • I had many high end phones.latest are xperia z3 plus.and z ultra(which is really good) and samsung. this is the one to keep. It,s strong fast and excellent screen. And screen to body radio is 75% that is important. And the most Important to me.IT IS UPDATED to latest android immediadly.I will stay on nexus phones.course of that.but maybie motorola course of they seem to be doing good things with theyr update policy.

  • Yeah.

  • Is Nexus 6 discontinued ?

  • Yup

  • Does it support otg??

  • hi. please, be smart not to compere... this are to defferent to have any vs between... the motorola's got way to much better hardware... take note 3 with this motorola, and if you are good with roms, "clean" the note (samsung bloats...), and then... when i did rhat, i got read of the nexus 6. witch as a smartphone-its realy a good one. enjoy.

  • go into bootloader, then clear cached, then factory reset.

  • I'm facing same issue.

  • It is heating...During charching

  • Both are reliable and providing a good performance . Regardless of differences between Android and iOS , What do you prefer ? A 4 inches smartphone or a 6 inches one ?

  • Not in my case with 2.1 ampere

  • hi, i just got my htc broken after using it for 4 years. so now im planning to buy a new phone that is reliable in terms of long period usage and good performance too. Im considering between purchasing an iphone se or nexus 6. can i get an honest review on this? Thanks a bunch :)

  • No

  • 3 hours of screen on time with some heavy gaming.... 4 hours with moderate use.... Is it normal? And camera app is little bit slow....

  • i got android 7 preview

  • It is pretty obvious, NEXUS 6 .

  • You're using a wrong screen protector which covers the proximity censor. I had the same problem with some cheap protector, I couldn't make or not even answer phone calls. Removed the protector and everything worked again. The factory-installed protector worked flawlessly for me.

  • Someone plz tell which should i buy nexus 6 or j7 2016.. Someine plz help me out in buying a phone

  • Hi Its maybe because of your screen protector. Get better quality of screen protector.

  • I have been a longtime Samsung user, until recently. I purchased a Nexus 6 after my Galaxy S6 failed recently. My initial impression of the Nexus 6 is that it's huge, and very functional. The size can be good or bad depending on your perspective. In my case phone size is irrelevant. The good: The phone is much faster than any phone i have owned to date. The unlocked, 32gb version that I purchasedd is pretty devoid of bloat ware. My carrier, T Mobile never seemed to have much coverage in my area. Were it not for the wifi calling, mobile hotspot, and of course the price (4 lines for $100) I'd have bailed on them awhile back. The Nexus 6 seems to have more than sufficient signal in areas where my prevoius phones had little or none. I purchased the unlocked version, which is not specific to my carrier and the T Mobile wifi calling and the mobile hotspot both work as well as my previous carrier branded phones without any additional apps, rooting, or other nonsense. The wireless charging is just awesome! Many have complained that it did not work well or at allfor them. I purchased aftermsrket 3 coil chargers and use the with 2.1 amp wall warts, thet work great. The phone charges much quicker than my previous phones with wired chargers, from 20% to full charge in about an hour. The battery life is better than my Galaxies ever was. With heavy use it still lasts all day. The bad: The battery is not easily changeable, so when it does get low one needs a back-up plan. I did have a problem briefly with text messaging, which from what I saw on the Internet that may not be an isolated issue. The phone wouldn't send out text messages. However after I restarted the phone and the problem cleared up immediately. In general, the apps that come with the Nexus 6 are not as aesthetically pleasing as those on some other mfgrs phones, probably why the apps run faster. Serviceability is definitly not as good as Samsung, but probably on par with LG, HTC, and others. Conclusion: I am an electrical engineer an have never been an early adopter, I'm usually a generation or two behind in phone technology. Overall my experience with the Nexus 6 so far is very good, far more positive than negative. Although the large format may not be for everyone, if you like large phones I can recommend this one. It may take a little getting used to but there are excellent tutorials on line that go into every aspect of phone setup on the Nexus phones. When properly setup this phone is way more convenient than any I have owned to date.

  • When I dail a contact no,screen goes off and you can not use options like conference, dialpad etc.sometimes it dosnt problem. Anybody could guide me. What to do?

  • I recommend Nexus 6. Which one did you finally get? Leave a contact method so we can further discuss. I own Moto X 2nd Gen. for more than 9 months and can't be more satisfied with the brand.

  • A phone destroyed your life?? Would you may mean that the phone made your life a difficult or that it caused a huge hassle instead of saying it destroyed it?? Because if it really did destroy your life, then sorry to know how poor your life is.

  • Lenovo vibe x3 or Nexus 6???

  • I had last year bought 64 gb Nexus 6 from Flipkart. Had to return back since I found that the max volume of the phone came down if the battery is less that 50%. Otherwise the phone was good in terms of design, body to screen ratio and battery life and the 6 inch screen. I therefore couldn't resist myself and yesterday ordered for the 32 gb version and am also nervous. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, is there any solution for this. Tanks a ton in advance for the answer.

  • I am having the same issue with Nexus6 and it is stuck at Android5.0.1.. Support from Motorola has been pathetic so I will never advise anyone to purchase Motorola devices..

  • Could you describe the problem ? May I help you . I just want to know what exactly you did ?

  • I use the included Motorola turbo charger and I found it charges about 45% in 30 minutes .

  • nexus 6 destroy my life for nexus 6 bootloder loked problerm plz some one healf me plz

  • yes.. you have to use a qualcomm certified quick charger. @shubham

  • Does this have LED pulse notification?

  • I bought nexus 6 four days back.....if any nexus 6 user could please tell me if it actually get charge to 60% in 15 minutes or its just a bluff ..........or else my device has some problem...need a genuine advice....

  • One plus 2

  • How did you get Jio 4G VOLTE???

  • just bought it this morning i really like it so far only downfall is the front camera no more decent seflies for me :(

  • Nice Specs

  • Nexus 6 jio4g volte support yes or no please answer???

  • Just got it, and I have to say it's really smooth and fast, and can't complaint about the battery life, similar to other like Note 4 for example

  • I sugguset you to moto x play . Because it has decent specs. Pros : 1.Good display with good contrast ratio and good sun light eligibilty 2.Duel SIM support 4G(other two are not support duel sim) 3.Micro SD support (other two are not support SD card) 4.21 MP ,5 MP camera with sony IMX230 sensor 5.Battery capacity more than other two phones 6.Octo core processor 7.Decent price with turbo charger on flipkart. 8.Fast battery charging. 9.Good Screen to body ratio with compact size. Cons: 1.Bad low light & artificial light camera performance of both camera(But flash helps for rear camera to take good picture) 2.Battery capacity more but real life it gives 1 day avarage battery life. 3.Heating during heavy games upto 43 degree C (But it is common for all high level chipset mobiles) 4.Front speakers are OK not too louder....

  • even me confused in nexus 6 and moto xplay

  • It's price has been lowered many times because of the poor demand . Many people didn't like the huge 6" display . But I found it pretty .

  • Actually , It's indeed a hard compare . Both phones are good . I recommend Nexus 6 for some reasons (build quality + long update support + Display + Stereo speakers + Durability + Battery consumption ....)

  • I have owned it for 3 months... The max it will reach is 45 while heavy gaming and heavy multitasking but if u are using the turbo charger and then doing heavy gaming it might reach around 50-51 but nothing to be worried it never gets uncomfortably warm :)

  • Is this a good phone cauz cosidering the price tag on flipkart it is only 19999 but specificatiins are just unbelivable.. So please any one having this phone tell me about its reality other tha specs

  • Hey guys! I'm confused between oneplus two and nexus 6. which one is a better buy? and any other good device at this price point.

  • Did u try to make screen brightness auto ?

  • Thats why it says water resistant, not water proof. :/

  • Guys, I need your help. I am in search for a new phone as my old Micromax canvas 2.2(a114) motherboard had been broken. I've shortlisted Nexus 6, Nexus 5x and Moto X Play. These phones have stock OS as Google intended, which I loved. My confusion is that Moto has bigger battery, massive camera and fm radio receiver. But lacks the timely updates of nexus phones(a114 didn't get any updates, ever). Nexus 6 has the best specs of the lot, but have read many and many complaints of its wide size and shitty front camera compared to other two. Nexus 5x,the new(er) phone, which has a decent specs underneath. It has usb-c connector, finger print scanner. But also costliest of the lot. So please guys, can you suggest me a good phone out of these three?

  • hey buddy.. im using nexus 6 and my sister is using the moto x play.. well to be honest her moto x play battery life is better as compared to my nexus.. overall nexus 6 is a good phone.. the display , the speakers, the camera., etc..

  • hmm.

  • Its been 2weeks and its a great phone so far.. it heats only while u use the device while charging.. the display is great. the camera is top notch. the dual speakers are amazing.. but i do struggle with my phones battery.. it drains like hell.. i have tried removing the vibration notifications.. the unwanted sound notifications.. disabling unwanted applications.. turning of the bluetooth , gps , etc.. i just can use this device beyond 6-8 hrs.. Fellow nexus users.. if u have any suggestions on what has to be done and how it has to be done, please feel free to suggest me as well.. Thank YOU... overall its a great phone.. 7/10 would be my ratings..

  • What is the maximum heating level of moto nexus 6. I am now using moto x play. maximum of x play heat is 43 degree. I am going to buy nexus 6 please answer ..........

  • suggest me..I'm confused between Moto X play and Nexus 6? which model camera is better?

  • Even I'm also confused ..Suggest me which one is Good as per camera...Moto X play or Nexus 6?

  • Pro: Snappy handset, still worth buying. HDR+ is amazing for camera. My favorite is the dual front speakers. Con: Battery is not so good. Only last around 3.5 hours with about half brightness while playing intensive game (Mobile Strike with no sound). AMOLED display is bad for outdoor usage. I can't see well even with max brightness.

  • No one has said it is 'waterproof', but 'water resistant'. Components have been nano coated so as to repel water. It may withstand splashes and spills, but unlike IP rated devices, it was not designed to be submerged.

  • Screen is easily breakable and very expensive to replace (In US, company offers to replace it for 175 USD. But here in Canada, it is gonna cost around 300 CAD). Mine broke after it fell on concrete from just 2 feet, that too after hitting my shoe first. But otherwise, i found the phone great, specially after the marshmallow upgrade. The battery life improved a lot after the upgrade. Would easily last for whole day which is great for its screen size and pixel count.

  • Nope , It's wonderful .

  • I feel sorry for your loss, but none said it is. It is Water resistant not waterproof. you can touch this phone and probably use it with a wet hand but drowning it in water will certainly kill it.

  • Is nexus 6 working fine, after the marshmallow update? Any bugs ?

  • It is NOT waterproof. Mine fell into dishwater and i watched it die a slow death. I've put it in a baggie with rice. While it does start up, it is not working properly. It is a costly mistake!

  • You should buy a screen protector .

  • Is the the phone durable? Can IRS screen withstand minor falls?? Do I need to use tempered glass?

  • Comm'n ,,, How could you get confused between Snapdragon 615 and 805 !! 2GB RAM against 3 GB RAM Full HD Display against Quad HD Amoled display ...................... etc It's obvious that the Nexus 6 is better than moto X Play ☺

  • Is it true about its water resistant is someone tried it ?

  • I am confused with moto x play vs nexus 6 which is the best.............?

  • I've been using my nexus 6 for many months now and I never got any kind of problems . BTW Google offers a replacement program which you can get a new nexus if your old one got broken .

  • Have purchased nexus 5 first and then unfortunately without learning from previous mistake just for brand name of google attached bought nexus 6..i agree it was the worst decision to buy nexus any model. Due to different oem mamufacturer they fail to resolve your problems even under warranty terms. The phone got dead 5 months after buying and the company failed to resolve. Its better to buy iphone by adding a bit to your budget than this useless range of nexus which heat up alot and are very prone to rooting and motherboard failures

  • Obviously nexus 6, reasons- Qhd display, 3gb Ram, snapdragon 805 with higher clockspeed.

  • I've been using Android n.but the latest version. Had problem's.Skype and fb.video calling are not working so I am back to 6.01 gonna skip this version.

  • Front camera is below average , but acceptable in some cases .

  • never go for zenfone not at good

  • Vibration sounds loose

  • Guys I am very confused between Nexus 6 moto x play and Asus zenfone which phone is should buy... I found Nexus is better then the others but my concern is 2 MP front camera how was it ?please suggest

  • Follow this link

  • Of course Nexus 6 is better for gaming .

  • How to update Android N dev

  • which phone is better for gaming & multitasking..moto x play or moto nexus 6?

  • My nexus 6 screen has broken. From where to buy the screen

  • Yes it has Wi-Fi calling enabled. I have this phone unlocked and I am using T-Mobile in the United States, When I am connected I get the wifi calling notification.

  • No

  • Does it have any bugs after the marshmallow update?

  • Yes the nexus 6 does have a notification light its just hidden and you have to root in order to utilize it.

  • VR Shinecon ,Aliexpress price approx. 20$

  • it have memory card slut

  • There's actually a notification LED in the nexus 6 . Watch →

  • Search for "lightflow" app in Google Play . Otherwise install a custom ROM .

  • No notification light on nexus 6. Sorry

  • How to enable the LED notification light on nexus 6?

  • There's a heating issue with the phone, but its pretty surprising that after charging 100% the phone cools down rapidly within 2 mins! so the issue is pretty normal... when turbo charger is used it obviously happens and this is not a flaw at all. Great phone and I like it... presently using "Android N".

  • Moto g turbo eedition is the best one

  • Need a mid or upper mid-range phone with battery life and ui speed similar to nexus 6. Please recommend

  • Best all round phone. And the price is crazy too. Best battery, best audio, easy to handle even at 6 inches. Using note edge now, not impressed. Miss my nexus

  • Good choice 👍

  • No doubt on that, go with nexus.....

  • I've just ordered it and I will have it within 24 hrs! Pretty excited for the new Cloud white 32 GB Version!

  • Pure Android doesn't include this feature but you can use any VoIP app like Hangouts . You also can try this app WalkieTalkie Wifi

  • You're right , but screen is QHD (2560x1440) not just Full HD (1920x1080) . And It's faster than iPhone 6 . Watch this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV2X51kAVfc)

  • Is wifi calling is available in nexus 6?

  • its a great device , fast , great quality , speakers are great , the best part is the screen resolution full HD better than iPhone in everything

  • I already have it. Speakers quality is good. Heating isn't noticeable.

  • You have to unlock bootloader and install a custom ROM (I suggest CyanogenMod 13) or the stock ROM (you can search for it) . Fortunately, factory resetting makes USB debugging enabled by default. So all you need is opening YouTube and searching for "how to unlock bootloader In nexus 6" Then follow instructions in the video to unlock bootloader, installing custom recovery and rooting your nexus 6. Then all you need is to install the custom/stock ROM whatever you choose. Remember : you have to put the ROM file in a USB flash drive so you can attach it with a USB otg cable, or a micro USB flash drive. Both solutions are correct. Remember also that all your data will be erased. If you faced any problems, reply to me.

  • I was using Nexus 5, I just bought nexus 6. Performance looks OK however it is getting heated too much and speaker quality is not good. Don't go for this.

  • I have deleted my Google keyboard app and was using third party keyboard on my Motorola nexus 6.. Just now i hard reset my phone and come to know that there is no default keyboard installed so i am unable to pass through the setup wizard.. Now the phone seems to be a dead monster.. What should i do.. I am running Android 5.1.1 and because of factory reset protection i must have to pass through setup wizard, can't skip anything.. Please give me a genuine advice.. Thanx in advance

  • Performance is pretty good. Better than the LG g4, note 4, blackberry priv and mate 7

  • try aliexpress or dealextreme

  • I need Virtual Reality Headset. Which is the best and from where to buy ?

  • Android N is available for beta-testing from Google, everyone can enroll their Nexus-devices and then the OTA update will come to your phone soon.

  • It's a phone, I've never had any issues fitting it into my pockets. Big screen with minimal bezels is just great. Stop making things unnecessary hard for you, people. :)

  • Anyone tell me how =it performance for google nexus 6???????????

  • built in battery has its own advantages, i m using in built battery phones since 4 years long, faced no issues yet. And service center can change the battery immediately if you need new battery. now i m using Nexus 6, again inbuilt battery phone.

  • Android N? Really ???? which country you belong to?

  • please recommend shall i buy google nexus 6 phone??????????????????????

  • Nexus 6 is way better than moto x play

  • nexus vs moto x play which is better............

  • please recommend if i have buy this phone or not.....

  • 5.96" screen are your serious? its not phone :D

  • Back camera is average , Front camera is below average . If you're looking for good camera , Take a look at ASUS Zenfone selfie , or ASUS Zenfone zoom .

  • Hi, Tell anyone shall i buy nexus 6 & how its camera performance front & back.

  • Hi, Tell anyone shall i buy nexus 6 & how its camera performance front & back.

  • hi, tell anyone shall i buy this phone or not & please tell me the camera performance front & back

  • You had a bad unit then, my Nexus 6 works great. Battery life is still 6 hours of SOT, which is good in my opinion - considering the screen size. Haven't even rooted my phone, but I'm thinking about installing the Android N-test version.

  • Left side of the earpiece light and prox sensor

  • Hi, can anyone tell me where is the proximity sensor location for Nexus 6 ?

  • Charging port problems are not uncommon on many brands. That's from repair techs I've talked to, with Apple, Samsung and LG being the most trouble free. I had that problem on an Acer tablet five times. Asurion just sent me a check for the full purchase price + tax because it was not repairable anymore. I got a Qi compatable wireless charger (about $16 + shipping) for my 6 and always use it unless I need a quick charge and then I will use the 6's turbo charger. Personally I'd like to see the old round style charging port added and the micro usb port kept for what it should be used for. I'm not waiting for that to happen.

  • Giant peice of shit battery is shit charge port burnt out in less than a year.

  • Does the power on n off button get spoilt??.. O do they have the option of double tapping the screen??

  • Buy the note 4 (at&t)

  • Is still one of the best unit you can get .lgot my science a year already is powerful always running in the ultimate OS and resiving moundly security update, went many other devices are stronger to get 6.0 my unit is testing 7.0 .

  • Worse phone ever i rather go for a galaxy s7 or note5

  • Note 4 won't be updated to Android N . A5 neither But Nexus 6 will be updated to Android 7.x and if you installed CyanogenMod , you'll receive updates until 2018 . That's why I choose this phone .

  • Using this phone for past two weeks. Truly, she is a real beauty.

  • Guys should i buy this phone or stick with A5... Or i have to go for Note 4 (sprint) (AT&T)?

  • The looks of LGG4 are great but the price is just double

  • Nexus 6 or Lg G4 ??? Plz suggest

  • Consider the overpriced Nexus 6X, yes, worth to buy

  • Just Capture one photo from camera and then open photo check details of photo in all details it also shows Maker : Motorola Model: XT1097 ...... i use this method when in visit any shop and want to know bands of specific model.

  • if it's very cheap then YES YES YES, if I don't have this phone and if it sell any cheaper than Nexus 5X I likely will consider this, since performance was still more than OK and it have a big screen, it also look good.

  • how to know the model of the NEXUS? (XT1100 or XT1103) I want to know which LTE bands are supported ?

  • I installed the light flow app and its not working since the phone needs to get rooted first.

  • Is it worth buying nowadays ?

  • Updates on nexus phones are all updated first as long as they can handle the new os. Havent hears of any who did not get updates

  • Upgraded to Android N.yesterday. it's good

  • Nice comment.......

  • wow wow wow oh,oh,oh,oh

  • Good speed,smoothbrowser...........pictures qulality, clarity,nice ,wonderfull,wow,oh,oh,oh.............

  • Does this support unlimited updates for upcoming OS versions or just support next version only? Please advice. Thank you for your help in advance.

  • Will this work on other device? I still dont belle e tag nexus can do that...

  • yes it is working marshmallow

  • WIll this work with the updates of Marshmallow ???

  • Download an app called Light Flow from Google play, which will enable Nexus6 LED light, with different colors. Hope will help;p

  • The nexus 6.its beatiful phone i love this phone but please in next update active notification light.thanks

  • 5 months on . Keeps turning itself off, rubbish battery life.

  • just ordered mine on Taobao and got it a few days ago , and it's already run on Android 6.0.1. it's really nice !!!

  • Even the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?!!! I'm trying to decide which of the three heavy weights to buy. The Note 4 or Nexus 6 or LG G3? Audio quality is very important to me. I'm inclining towards the Note but have not read about the M8?! I'd relly appreciate any hints or tips ples.. Been up til 4am reviewing them all...pheweee. The Huawei 6P is supposed to be superb? I'm really after value for money.......the Blackberry Classic too.....so many so little time?!

  • I purchased google nexus 6 on 17th may 2015 on line shopping fulfilled by Amazon.in android 5.1.1 after 6 month message shows software update available but not installed on several attempt till date complaint was registered for remedy service centre at Ajmer not entertaining today phone stopped working not starting such a costlier phone of Rs. 44000 I cheated by Google

  • Its earphone sound is so low

  • After just couple of weeks of usage , I can say it's a perfect phone under $350 . Everything is great (Design-Screen-Performance-Battery-Everyday usage ... etc) But I found some Cons .. ** The back camera isn't perfect (but it does acceptable purpose) and the front camera is disappointing ...... I'm not a camera addict so I'm not being affected by this fault , But if you'r looking for a phone with a great camera or selfie phone , Don't put this phone in consideration . ** The 6" display is great but has a lower brightness than other competitors like note 4 (For me I never use maximum brightness to save battery) .

  • yep

  • Does it support OTG ?????

  • This phone has a built in battery.. Now a days again the companies are providing the option of removable battries. The only fear I am feeling.. what to do when battery is swiped away completely. ???

  • After dropping my Nexus 6 in a 4 inch stream of rapidly flowing water and spending 10+ seconds fishing it out, it is still working like a charm many weeks later. Aside from the rounded back, the frame and reliability of this phone feels great. Thank you Motorola and Google for making this happen, and thank you to the manufacturers for such a reliable device.

  • This phone's biggest flaw is the sub-par audio chip for headphone usage, but I really like the phone still. Surprisingly good battery life (SOT max. 6 hours personally).

  • Big beautiful phone! Metal construction is sturdy, masculine, very handsome. Curved back is comfortable to hold. For a one year old phone it is easily equal to the new 6p. It lacks fingerprint, but has wireless charging. Front speakers, updated to Marshmallow out of the box. Fast and smooth processing and "ok Google" works (I was tired of fighting with S-voice). It took me a bit to realize Google photo replaces a gallery app. Flagship quality phone, and now sold at a bargain price. As of now AT&T isn't supporting HD voice on non AT&T phones, it doesn't really matter as quality is good and you could always surf and talk on AT&T.

  • My Nexus 6 was automatically upgraded to Marshmallow in January 2016, two months after purchase.

  • And don't forget that nexus does not support otg... You gave to download separate app for this purpose (which is paid not available for free)

  • If you don't have any problem with big screen then do go for nexus 6 coz its performance is better than droid except for the part that nexus' front camera is highly disappointing if you use front camera more often.... Moreover Battery backup of droid is better than nexus.... But if you really want performance and want to use your phone for a longer run then do go for nexus..

  • How did you update it ?? Plug in computer or on mobile phone ??

  • Upgrades are automatic. Mine is now Ver 6.0.1

  • sure u can update to Android 6

  • Umm....i runs on android 5.0 ryt?? Can we upgrade it to v 6.0??

  • Nexus6 is the best. I am a fan of this phone. :*

  • I had only Verizon XT912, it was nice to use, runs well but not smoothly upfront. So now i'm walking towards X Style. It is very exciting to see... I love large screen.

  • Love the large screen, feel very sturdy and run android 6.01 very smoothly.

  • I've just ordered it (Midnight blue 32GB version). I'm very excited to see it .

  • Nexus 6 has two speakers in front!!

  • who to remove the caller ID??

  • Well to me the big difference between iOS and Android is that iOS in most apps have no back button whereas, with Android and most of it's apps, if you make a change and want to go back you can very easily. I was so fed up with iOS that it prompted me to get rid of it for the new Huawei Mate 8 which runs a lot faster than the Apple phone. You have more user control over Android apps than with iOS apps. I also do not like to use iTunes because it always messes up my music folders whereas Android does not move or manipulate your music files.

  • I have been an apple person. How is this phone compare to the Nexus 6?

  • 6.0.1 is the latest version.

  • Yes upgraded to Andriod Marshmallow :)))

  • Sure I do know the app, as I've used since I bought my first Android-phone back in 2011. EQ isn't the best way to "fix" sound as it should always be left unused in my opinion, but I still need to use myself because of the flawed audio chip.

  • Is nexus 6 upgraded to 6.0?

  • Newer is better

  • Just install an app called "Poweramp" It can beat the **** outta beats audio + dobly dts/atoms .. N if you root it... Get viper 4 andriod But Poweramp is tool goodddd

  • 😇 mg g3 m g g3 turbo edition Moto x play Moto x style Moto x force E2 Are great phones too Because these are moto by Motorola N from 2016 its gonna be moto by lenovo lol

  • I guess you never tried app called "Poweramp"

  • Well, both phones have their own strong sides - if you really want a big screen with good battery life and fast Android-updates, then the huge-bezels-with-tiny-screen-HTC is not for you... But then again, the M8 is a flawless music phone! Based on my personal experience, Nexus 6 has a MUCH better camera and surprisingly even the battery life is better - it also has wireless charging. The Motorola Turbo Charger is something the M8 doesn't have. HTC's camera is exceptionally BAD, not really acceptable for originally such a expensive flagship. For music listening the M8 outshines actually almost every other phone on the market, so this phone unfortunately stands no chance in comparison. Nexus is usable device for music listening as well, but the sound is not as clean/rich as it is on M8.

  • Nexus 6 ! Thanks Google ! I like your Dream

  • Three things i like about Nexus 6 Big screen ( i love big screen :-) Battery and 6.0 I got a Nexus 7 and i want the pair Tu for the replay and opinion

  • Thank you for your honest replay, Is Htc M8 better than Nexus 6 in playing songs? Or, are they equal? What about songs using the headphones? Are songs hearing better? i cant afford expensives smartphone, what are your opinions?

  • Compared to my last phone (HTC One M8) which happened to have a flawless audio chip, I can easily tell that Nexus 6 doesn't have such a good quality one... That can be noticed/heard while using headphones. Music just doesn't sound as accurate, full and rich as it did on the M8 with the same headphones. And the volume is a bit lower. But as a whole, definitely not too bad to make me buy another device instead. And if you hook this phone to a external amp, it will perform well. And the phone's built-in speakers are quite loud, but as everyone hopefully knows - not for real music listening. Usable for like watching Youtube and Netflix.

  • Nexus 6 is the last MOTO phone. Go for it !! All the MOTO phones produced after nexus 6 are LENOVO phones. I do not trust on LENOVO. GOOGLE is the best so go for NEXUS 6

  • Go for Nexus 6 !!!

  • Nexus 6 is a great phone to watch video and listening music. Great big screen. and the front speakers are so loud. Take the Amzer cover with back stand. Enjoy anywhere. I am also enjoying :)))

  • Moto g3 or nexus 6 which to buy

  • Be Honest, How good is the quality of the sound? like nice, good, excellent, bad, could be better? is it worthy buying or should i get a 2015 model? please some advice, i cant afford an expensive smartphone like samsumg or iphone or sony z5, im looking for a smartphone with good quality in mp3, great display and almost free of bugs, my choices are Lg G2, Lg G Flex 2 and Nexus 6 Motorola. Words?

  • Awesome phone dazzling net speed best display n I saw review about battery on YouTube that's not true I'm using 6.0.1 screen time 7 hours( watching online movie HD quality, Facebook, gaming) N if ur not using turbo charger with any other charger its charging fast. I'm very impressed with moto nexus.

  • I want to buy a new phone , between the droid turbo and the nexus 6 , which one is better ?? Need some opinions :)

  • Thanks for the reply. But does it work without root? I have heard without root it records only one sided call.

  • hey what do you mean by getting a better battery life when changing app permission?? i know how to change app permission but why would that help ??

  • download auto call recorder in which upto 300 calls can be recorded or go for pro version in which upto 1000 calls can be recorded

  • Free tip: don't buy any phone not support Card slot .

  • Hi friends, I have given my Motorola Nexus 6 to B2X Motorola service Center, Visakhapatnam as the camera stopped working suddenly about 2 months back as it was under warranty, So far they have not received the camera according to them as they need to replace the part, Pathetic service, I will never buy a Motorola in my lifetime.

  • I get between 4-6 hours screen on time depending on how I use the phone. I usually charge the phone every other day. Compared to my Galaxy S4 this is much better.

  • For everyone saying the battery life is crap...I assume you don't know how to change the app permission.. Awesome phone

  • Really? even the phone release has not completed 2 years and you used it for 2 years....great

  • Nice phone. But there is no pause option during video by using Google camera app. If I use other camera app then the image quality deteriorates. Can any one help me?

  • Absolutely AMAZING phone. Bought it brand new 2 years ago, and it still works like it did brand new. I haven't seen a single phone released recently that can match the Nexus 6.

  • still I didnt got update!!! why some users got early updates while some users not??

  • Camera is pretty good in the good light. At night it sucks.

  • Fantastic device!

  • Try to download this app Incallrecorder download it from the website on ur phone I think it will be gd bcz it works on all kind of android devices

  • Is there any call recorder app available for Nexus 6 without rooting? It doesn’t matter the app is free or not. But is there any app or any other way to record calls in Nexus 6?

  • Ya,today I got updated to Feb security patch and bug fixes,in india

  • nexus users.. anyone got feb security update in India??

  • Just got update for Feb security patch and bug fixes in india

  • forget other phones, buy xperia z3 and after 8h at work with a good use( facebook, music on headphones for 3h, and 20 minutes calls) you will still have 65-70% battery but with one condition : 40% brightness which is more than enough inside... on top of fabulous battery life you get a sleek design,20mp decent camera, 2.5ghz quad cpu, 3gb ram, 16(10)gb rom, microsd card slot up to 128gb, dust and water protection and virtualy no lag even if you got all your aps open on the same time in the background( tried with 47 apps, good memory management in lolipoop 5.1.1), so think about before you buy!

  • This is really a nice phone and after using this I have forgotton all the other small phone. Loving this phablet

  • Hi, can anyone advise me the phones bpught from U.S.A will it support 4g in Sri Lanka ?

  • I recently upgraded to Marshmallow and now the battery lasts for 8-10 hours on mild usage, not much of phone use but simply with wifi connectivity enabled, But does not certainly last for 15 hours, not even in idle airplane mode status.

  • from where did you buy your nexus 6.... i am unable to get it ...

  • Very weird problem you are having! I've been using it from the very first month of its release. Battery life was never been a issue. And after getting Marshmallow update battery is lasting almost 15 hours with heavy use! The only drawback of this set to me is 2MP secondary camera.

  • I don't, but there aren't a single phone that had good enough speakers for music listening... Just use a external amp + speakers or headphones. It's pretty loud, though.

  • I got google nexus 6 Oct last year. For one month, I could see that the battery life held up for a day with minimal usage of phone and whatsapp. After a month the drain on battery is extremely heavy. I have had to uninstall all my favourite apps. I earlier had google for work too and i have uninstalled that too and no mail connection. I have also stopped using whatsapp. I disconnect all radio connections when not in use and use it as a simple phone. But even now I am helpless and I have to charge from almost 10% to full battery, 3 times a day!!! For example, I had full battery charge last night at 10 pm and 7 am in the morning, the battery charge shows at 15% and in the meanwhile I have had no phone calls, no messages, no wireless radio connection, and the phone was in sleep mode. I am on Android 5.0.x Are only India sold Google Nexus 6 have inferior battery and discharging circuitry? I am seeing more complaints from Indian users on battery swelling and even explosion! Don't go for motorola google nexus 6. period.

  • I like the speakers, nice and loud enough

  • The 6's specs blow the J5 away. It depends on what you want out of your phone. Buy what fits your needs. If you're looking at the J5 check out the latest Moto G on Motorola's website. Motorola has been making some excellent phones lately. But, like I said buy what fits your needs.

  • Who's your carrier? I have Verizon and mine got 6.0.1 without a problem.

  • I want to add that it was upgraded to 6.0.1 at the beginning of Jan/16

  • Love straight up Android. Fast updates. Great front stereo speakers. Very fast and great screen. Only downside is lack of a memory card but that's minor with the cloud.

  • Camera lagging, buttons are not design for one hand shoting and fast action. When multitask, is a bit slow.. regret

  • The nexus 6 is the better option. A lot of people gripe about how big it is, but it becomes normal after about a week. I have a note 5 as well and it (believe it or not) feels small in my hands now. The battery life, the size, the speakers, stock Android, its just an amazing phone

  • Which you think i should buy nexus 5 or samsung j5

  • Of course it's worth it! It is still a really nice device, with Android Lollipop, and it's also upgradable to Marshmallow and it is the stock version, wich is faster than with lets say Samsung's TouchWiz ,it comes with a fast charger ,it has some pretty good specs (not the best)but it can run Modern Combat 5 and GTA San Andreas on on max settings , it has two front facing stereo speakers wich offer high audio quality ,and the massive 5.96 inch display ,and the battery is a really good one ,you can play M.C. 5 with brightness to max and the battery will hold you up to 3 hours In my opinion the single downsides are the back pannel wich is plain plastic, not rubberized and apparently the nexus logo can fall off, the camera is not the best in the market ,the size might be a problem if used as an every day phone and it's thickness even tough that means the battery is bigger and lasts more time I hope I helped :)

  • Which best nexus 5 or 6

  • My new n6 is endlessly showing Optimizing apps after I tried to update Android 5.1... I can't switched off... Please somebody help me... I tried the recovery method but in vain...

  • The only reason to nexus 6 now is the display, not the camera or processor. Its still one of the best display money can buy.

  • Hi, if its webbrowsing and music. Then I would indeed recommend the nexus 6. For non headphone use the music experience through the stereo speakers is amazing and the large display helps showing a lot of content on a website. The only downside is, there's no micro sd expansion. You can either get the 32gb version or the 64gb. But you can always stream music through google music, soundcloud, spotify etc. Even if the nexus 6 isn't the newest out there, it will still recieve support from google for atleast 2 years more. Don't let its age fool you, it's still blazing fast.

  • Hi! I have the chance to get the Nexus 6 for a bargain price. I do mainly web and music with my phones, so def no gaming. My question, should I still get it considering that its not the latest phone in the market.

  • This is my personal opinion slash review after using this phone for more than a year. The motorola nexus 6 was my first time ever holding a 6' smartphone or shall I better say, phablet. The nexus 6 was an upgrade for me from the samsung galaxy s3 and this behemoth blew me away. Since I have had this device it pretty much had its pros and cons, it wasn't a smooth ride till the present day but it wasn't that much of a bumpy road either. During this period of using the nexus 6 I have dropped it around 4 to 6 times from pocket height and never has the screen been damaged, I do have some small dents and scuffs on the metal trim but to my surprise it's very darn resistant considering the weight of the device hitting the floor and in 3 occasions parking lot asphalt. A lot of people talk about its battery life, which I understand is a matter of concern specially considering the display size and those dual speakers that need powering. Since this is a phablet, most people would either use it for media consumption (gaming, videos, music and watching live streams). I use my nexus 6 a lot for social media and a lot of youtube viewing, I remember that in lollipop the battery life was pretty much horrible when using such apps. Since the Marshmallow update, the battery life has increased considerably for me. Getting an average 4-5 screen on time with normal use compared to the 3-4 hours i would get in lollipop. If I were to rate the battery life after marshmallow update, considering the display size. I would give a solid 8 out of 10 If you are into photography or selfies, I would try to stay away from the nexus 6 and actually would go for the newer nexus 6p. Though the cameras aren't bad for anyone that doesn't care too much about the overkill red accents or the blurry overprocessing. If I were to rate the camera quality, I would give it a solid 7 out of 10. Gaming, Performance and does it heat up? With the latest antutu update my nexus 6 was getting an average score of 72k, the highest being 74k and lowest 70k. Even the newer games still run very smooth and it's such a joy playing on that 6' display. To my surprise though it doesn't heat up much at all, when playing games like Mortal Kombat X, Dead Trigger 2 and Asphalt 8 the phone did get a little warm but not that uncomfortable warm that many phones have these days. It will make your hands sweat a bit but it's not anything to be concerned about. So for performance, even in 2016 I would rate it a solid 9 out of 10 Screen and Audio The screen on this guy is sharp as it can be, obviously now in 2016 and last year 2015 many devices like the note 5, z5 premium, s6 and lg g4 have better displays but don't let that be a drawback for the nexus 6. My only 2 complaints about the display are the viewing angles, which change color contrast a lot and lowering the display brightness causes the whites to turn a little brownish pink. The whites going that color doesn't bother me too much but it might annoy anyone that is into screen quality. The audio on the other hand is amazingly loud, it's the loudest dual front facing speakers i've heard even till today on a smartphone. Though, this whole thing of being loud does come with its setbacks. The sound itself can seem very 'tinny' compared to the boomsound speakers from the htc devices, but they do still sound decent enough. For screen quality I would give a deserved 8 out of 10 (if it weren't for the 2 cons, it would be a 10 for me) and audio also get 8 out of 10 (volume alone doesn't satisify many people). So as for a general summary of what I personally think of this device I would say it feels solid, has a nice weight to it and its design might not appeal to everyone but I find it looking pretty nice. For a media consumption phablet it's an amazing device, you might look a little weird using it for calls though since it might look like you are making a call with a chocolate bar. The 'turbo' charger that comes with the phone, charges the device to 100% in less than an hour for me (though some people have reported issues with it, I guess I got lucky) So... Would I recomend you to buy it? If you are looking for a good quality phablet, that has a high chance of being supported for atleast few years with the latest operating systems then the nexus 6 is your choice. If you want something new and the top of the line device I would consider you having a look at huawei's mate 8, though it will burn your pocket really deep. Sorry for this extensive review/opinion, I do hope I solved issues for anyone having doubts!

  • banter phone hahahahhahahaha

  • guys need ur review...how much time takes to charge 0-85% and 85-100%. bczz mine n6 takes more than 25 min to charge 85-100%.

  • no fingerprint sensor....

  • motorola device were good but size so bulky

  • you can get an app from playstore there are a lot of options to do it... you can cut yor track to have the part of the song you like the most try looking for mp3 cutter or ringtone maker

  • Dude the moto desing is the best among all the crap we have nowadays, if you see a samsung phone is pretty much the same desing of last year, and all the chinesse manufacturers who are buiding phone that looks like iphone it is a shame... moto is at least original i do have a nexus 6 and i had a moto x before best phones i ever had.

  • Motorola had been bought by Google before...

  • I love my ugly

  • Cool starry bra.

  • They used to make beautiful phones, but as for now it seems that they've fired all good designers.

  • Nexus 6 is a remarkable phone. Card slot would have been great. Can any one inform me how to connect it to TV using MHL to HDMI cable on [email protected] Thanks.

  • Fit for a King

  • Why Motorola wouldn't find a good designer? Their all phone are same design, Bulky, Ugly. Yaak... If anyone offer me a Motorola phone, i never accept that...

  • You stupid guys who buy a big ugly phone are geeks, I prefer a phone which is not only powerful but also looks sexy, not this heavy and ugly hunk of rock.

  • bt mine n6 takes 45 min to charge only 0- 56% while switch off. while other n6 user it gets full charge 100% in 45 min. m worried about it and planning to replace.

  • Can anyone suggest me how to change phone ringtone to mp3 songs

  • this is very normal , turbo charge works between 30%-85%, before and after this range it will charge with normal speed which is slower than turbo

  • Can any one suggest me how to upgrade via 4g network

  • any body give an opinion about nexus 6.

  • yes and no. yes it has a led notification, but you have to root your phone for that

  • thats normal i think becuase turbo charge works between 30%-85% after and before that it will charge with a normal speed only

  • hello guys...mine n6 takes long time to charge from 90% to full charge...sometimes more than a half hour. Is it software bug or have a hardware or battery issue??? anyone facing it..??

  • I also have problems with flashlight after updating to marshmellow, it is only usable with third-party apps, all other things seem good to work

  • Yes I have the same problem (nothing happens some times when I try to make a call) in my Moto G (2nd gen). I thought that it was the memory, (mine has only 1/8 MB) now I see that it is a generic Motorola bug

  • I tried using it for a month and I found it too much huge and cumbersome to use. Of course the screen quality was good but the phone was too much bulky too use.

  • Hey im using this phone ,i noticed some time the screen goes black for sometime when dialing a number but the call going on,any one faced this issue.

  • Anybody facing google camera problem? My rear cam is not working nor the flash light???

  • ur a geek

  • I can't bite my tongue. Google and Motorola have NEVER been a single company. Google engineers collaborate with the phone makers like LG, Samsung, and Motorola, etc. The fact that Google makes the OS and plays a big role in designing the phone is the deciding factor for me. I want the updates to Android quickly and nothing gets the upgrades before the Nexus devices.

  • indeed it is a gorgeous phablet , i like it so much . the screen is huge for a reason. overall it is so perfect for what i need

  • use it about a year, yes screen is easy to read. but poor shooting experience n sometime a bit lack..

  • From the moment that you said GS4 is faster than the N6 I sttoped reading the rest of your post. Cheers

  • realy?? well its 5.9 and screen to body ratio is well maintain..so its not a big issue also curvy design makes it more sexy look. use it for 1-2 days u will fall in love with QHD screen.

  • its charge upto 90% rapidly bt after that it slows down charge rate...anyone facing it??

  • It's big for a reason! It's a new breed called a Phablet. It's a great e-reader and can combine your tablet and phone. Perfect for us dedicated readers!!

  • its a real beast

  • the style/pure is a better phone overall don't ditch it

  • moto x style ..is .. far far better than nexus 6 ..try .. for nexus 6 p

  • Me too, can't wait to hold it in my hands:D

  • i am waiting for my own nexus ill have it in two days

  • Who is Apply?

  • Eeeeeeeeeek! It's so huge, fat and ugly. Kill it, kill it before it lays eggs.

  • my friend using airtel 4g at good speed in salem, tamilnadu

  • That is one of the best smartphone I've worked up to now, and I am talking about performance between hardware and software. Nexus 6 was developed when Google and Motorola were the same company... In my opnion that is the secret for so good results. Moto X Pure Edition is very nice, but it doesn't worth if you consider the higher price and lack of some important features as fingerprint sensor (Moto X released in 2015 and Nexus 2014)

  • recently got the moto x style/pure for $400. Should I ditch it for the nexus 6 now that the price is dropped to around $300?

  • recently got the moto x style/pure for $400. Should I ditch it for the nexus 6 now that the price is dropped to around $300?

  • Blindly go for moto x play

  • its due to your charger. its fast charging thats why the output voltage is 9v (ur fone will be very hot) while the standard charger is only 5v (fone is not that hot)

  • Where have you been for the past few years? Motorola (not Moto) is owned by Lenovo, which is a Chinese Company. Your "label" says it right: assembled in China. In fact more than 90% (in my oppinion) of all phones produced in the wolrd are assembled there because of the cheap labour force and not only: the raw materials from which displays, memory RAM and CPU are made are extracted from China who owns more than 90% of world resrerves. So you see, it is cheaper to build it in China, where they have materials and cheap labour force than to build it in US where labour force is very expensive. You think the cost of an Iphone is 700$ or more? It is less than 300$ but what do I care: "the fool is not the one who asks, but the one who pays!"

  • Motorola's Nexus 6 is now on sale at Amazon USA and costs $100 below manufacturer's official price. Now you get the 32GB Nexus 6 for $249.99 or the 64GB one for $299.99. Those are exactly $100 down Moto's official (and already discounted) listings for $349.99 and $399.99. How soon is the same expected in India & Dubai ?

  • Apply is us company and its assemble in china too

  • Nexus 6 is not water resister.

  • hello guys...anybody confirn that nexus 6 were asembled in china or not?? because when I recived my n6 device there is written on box that Asembled in china. I am bit confused that moto is US company and why they asembled in china?? or all nexus6 have been asembled in china?? anyone have the same lable on box??

  • hey aditi!!! nexus 6 support LTE ..i mean It supports 4G in InDiA bt only question does ur sim network support it or not??

  • it supports 4g lte and not 4g. Airtel is the only player currently with 4g spectrum in India and 4g lte ud at chennai and hyderabad only. disclaimer : this is unverified claim based on my research

  • how to determine if its Cat 4 or Cat 6 LTE speed?

  • how would I know if its Cat 4 or Cat 6 LTE speed?

  • My Nexus 6 upgraded to the Android Marshmallow version 6.0.1 two days ago. It's still a beast.

  • Hi guys.. I want to buy a phone under 25k..want a best camera and big display, I m confused among one plus two, Motorola nexus 6, Moto X play? Which is better for me? You can suggest any other phone except these,, if you think that is good

  • Dear friend I want to know about how it's front and rear camera? Moto X play or one plus two camera is better than nexus 6? Have you faced any issues in this phone? Please advise me. Thanks in advance

  • Who is the supplier for the finger print sensor module? which company supply the algo chip?

  • can anybody comment on back cover .Does it really look messy due to mate finish??? Plz suggest best color midnight blue or cloud white""""""

  • hey, use only the turbo charger that came with the phone and try and keep the fone on a hard surface when charging not on the bed or sofa... keeping the phone inclined to the wall is the best while charging ....it will not heat up as much

  • I have just bought my N6 a week ago and i have also upgraded to 6.0.1 and then i was having a problem with the touch screen accuracy. I hope in your next update you include the touch screen calibration software because its really a big help. Right now i am using a 3rd party software for calibrating the touchscreen.

  • you need to press on ( LowVolume + Power ) at the same time

  • IOS having so many restrictions you can't do everything with IOS that's why IOS never lags and never slowdown. But Android is the open source you can do anything thing with Android even you can customize different Rom over the Android Best rom now a days is Cyanogen.Android is very broad that's why it lags and hang,Android OS itself not Stable OS and is the only disadvantages as well as advantages of Android OS.But for the better Android experience Nexus always be the best choice over any other brand.Pure Android experience having it's own advantages.

  • Yes.. i also dropped mine a few days ago n its so expensive that i am using it with the cracked screen itself.. waiting for the prices to drop..

  • Any body facing heating problem in Nexus 6. While using in normal use.

  • dear friends nexus 6 is good or not ? plz suggest me which smart ph. buy ?

  • This is a terrible phone for the money. I came from a galaxy s4 and the nexus is slower, the hands free is inferior everything is less intuitive, settings are less detailed with less options, Ivona wont work on it so I am stuck with really unfriendly voices. It wont mute music on my car stereo when a call comes in, it wont open other folks apps on hands free or change defaults. I have about a thousand tracks copied to the phone but google play wont access them I have to copy them all again. The unlock swipe is unresponsive and it takes me several swipes to hang up after a call. just about every app that I try to download says that I cant do it with this phone/marshmallow. apt name as it is really gutless system. I am no technophobe luddite 20 years in IT and often an early adopter, I would like to RTFM (read the flipping manual) but Motorola / google don't have anything approaching documentation

  • Is the back cover with mate finish really drawbacks with midnight blue color as suggested does it realy look muckier ugly and needs constant wiping?? So what's the case with cloud white???

  • Dont worry. When i updated my galaxy s to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, my network too had issues. But it changed with time. I think ur OS may not be compatible yet for ur network.

  • The H+ sign is from your provider. It means that some signal towers are closer to your phone when the H+ sign comes on. When the H+ does not show up, the tower is too far and you only get 4G rather than LTE (H, H+). Swapping sim cards sometimes do the trick.

  • Nexus 6! Look on Oneplus 2 forum about the many problems it have.

  • dropped mine a week ago adn shatterd the screen. whilst this isnt news a replacement screen is hellishly expensive...keep it in a protective case!

  • No..it did not come with 6.0 It will come with old 5.0 vrsion...but u hve to upgrade it to 6.0..it just so easy to updrage

  • I am looking forward to buy new motorola nexus 6.can someone tell me does it come with new anaroid marshmallow 6.0 pre updated.

  • Bangaloreans ,Don't purchase this mobile.who want to use 4G.it will not support

  • Last year $650 flagship is not having Slowmotion video capture!? Thats so poor of google..We should at least get 60FPS 1080P recording on Nexus 6 when the hardware is very much capable of 120FPS itself. I have created a feature request in code.google for slowmotion on Nexus 6.. Everyone chip-in here, lets get their developers attention.

  • yes i also see alot of battery performance improvement after the Marshmallow update

  • i've tried the galaxy J7 but with heavy usage it lags although it uses Octa, never trust the octa with Samsung my friend :)

  • with the pure android in the nexus 6 you will also find the mobile never lag or slow down for day to day use :),,,

  • Thanks for your reply. I agree Android is more customizable, feel like I'm kinda restricted with the ios. Butta truth be told; ios is never lag or slow down for day to day use. Still can't decide which one to go with!

  • I am up to 6.0 now here in East Africa. I believe Google rolled them out worldwide and they should be available to you in India too

  • Any idea whether Google has rolled out the android 6 version to Nexus 6 models available in India?

  • 45 min.

  • hi, am an X Iphone user and am telling you , Android is way better, user friendly and usable than the Iphone, sure go for the Nexus 6 :)

  • approximately 1:15 hour, and if the device is switched off it would take up to 45 minutes

  • this is the best android device I've ever used, i used to have( note 2 , note 3, LG G3 and am an X Iphone user) go for the nexus 6 and u will not regret :)

  • Hy guys how much time nexus 6 battery is taking to fully charge from 0 to 100%

  • Hi y'all! Motorola Nexus 6 or Iphone 6+. Whatcha guyz think ? Grtz...

  • You should go for it and yes there are no screen issues.

  • nexus have quad-core no octa-core so i prefer galaxy J7

  • Yes it has a notification led beneath upper speaker which is disabled by default but can be enabled. It's RBG!

  • well i went through a lot in web . its best feature is its screen and software worst is camera and temperature

  • If I tilt the phone to rotate the screen, I can clearly see the color temperature changes. Somehow not so visible when the phone is not tilted... I haven't noticed the screen getting stuck though, but that's also a known problem on this model. However, I still recommend the phone if you're willing to accept these things. Camera takes good pictures, the OS is really fast and battery life is better after the Marshmallow-update. Wish GSM Arena updated their battery life test results. :)

  • Had the phone for a while and put some pretty heavy usage on it but so far have no problem as you've stated.

  • realy ? do you test it ?

  • i want to get this phone but ive heard there's screen issues. like temperature differences and the screen getting stuck? if anyone has had issues let me know and should i get this phone?

  • no it dose not support airtel 4g in mumbai.

  • Is nexus 6 support 4G in India?? Can anyone tell me??

  • Once you have a big phone, you will not ever give up!

  • That is the Good Phone. I Like It

  • I have big hands ;)

  • It does not.

  • Is it too big for a person of average sized hands ?

  • Is it too big for a person of average sized hands ?

  • i will recommend nexus 6 for you, good camera and a very good performance as compared with Motorola turbo...i hope that helped

  • Which is better overall ? Nexus 6 or Motorola droid turbo . Also which has better camera ( front and rear ) ? And another question, " is the nexus 6 too big " ? I have average sized hands . Thnx in advance

  • which performance ? you ll have wait 3 sec. to start cam

  • No lags, very smooth, good battery life (not the same as 1520... For the things I read), and hot... Well, normal behavior for big screen and process power... Nothing to much, but a very good device indeed.

  • Maybe it's me, and a bad day with a 5s... But if you have a new i5s stuck on start screen, without any solution, after several tries, then, don't even think about icrap.

  • Good question... If price matters, then 6. If screen size matters, 6. And, if the new gimmicks are important, finger reader, new improved camera, maybe, better battery life and higher price, then 6P.

  • No for both.

  • Hi anybody can tell me if nexus 6 has notification led and finger print? Tks guys

  • Any idea on the schedule of updating to Marshmallow in US? I was told that many Nexus 6 updated already.

  • Indeed. Didn't really expect this much better battery life after the update, but it's nice of course.

  • Good battery life after marshmallow update

  • dual-LED (ring) flash

  • Update to marshmallow and you will get great battery life, from lumia it's definitely crazy improvement in every aspect

  • yes, it has a flashlight on the back.

  • nope it doesnt register touches like that. i keep my phone with the screen touching my leg. i disabled ambient display ages ago so it doesnt bother me except sometimes it disconnects calls while taking it out. im using the factory screen protector maybe thats why

  • ok i may be asking a noob question here but is there a way to install the november security patch without unrooting my phone or downloading the whole factory image? (6.0, rooted, stock)

  • does it have back flash light

  • Should I buy Nexus 6??? or should I just go and wait for Nexus 6P ???

  • I booked nexus6 in diwali sale from flipkart does nexus gets updated to 6 if not should i return the phone and how is the audio quality with othwr cimpany headphones

  • Does it help if you reboot your phone and then try again?

  • But i got lots of stuff in my phone that i cant delete ! And if i try copying it into my laptop it does not respond :/

  • Try factory resetting, it's recommended to reset the phone after major OS-updates anyway.

  • If you want a stable OS, get an iPhone 5s, or any of the latest models.
