do make sure your internal memory isn't full and your phone does not have any unwanted application running in the background and those applications which your are not using and which cannot be uninstalled should be disabled and also try to backup your contents and try to factory reset your phone and see if it helps...

My XT912 MAXX is a great smartphone, this phone have a great time life battery because of 3100mHa. Additionally the android is able to be upgraded to 4.1.3 jelly bean. Have a HDMI output that allow to conect your phone to your TV to watch your HD videos that were took from your mobile.

The difference between the Razr Maxx and the Droid Razr Maxx is that the Droid Razr Maxx has the model number XT 912, has 4G connectivity and is exclusive to the US Market, the "regular" Razr Maxx has the Model number XT 910, has "only" 3G connectivity and was marketed in the rest of the world (in selected countries!) Physically they are strictly the same, except for the "Verizon" logo on the lower front of the XT 912 (Droid Razr Maxx) with same internals and batteries (except for the radio antenna for 4G!)

hey man,i had this problem before,first put out your memory card and your simcard too and then wait until 4,5 hours and check your phone about charge too. then if is not work then u should wait longer,maybe one day but if your phone get off dont start and first charge it and then start it. dont do any thing wrong or reset or hard reset!!!! then when your phone coming up so first delete all un usefull app,this made it work well

Every time someone around me gets a new phone I go and compare the screen and the awesome colors of My Razr Maxx with them by setting the same wallpaper on both. And every time i get best colors and brightness on My Razr. Amazing battery life, top notch build quality, great hardware. Internal memory dependent on the Market: 8/16 GB. Upgradable to 4.1.2 (stock motorola), 4.2.2 (custom). Excellent device. The best battery I've experienced untill now: 2-6 days (dependent on the use). 3G consumes a lot of battery (on any device) dropping down the battery life to 2 days in constantly use.

Today I updated my Motorola RAZR MAXX (unlocked Claro, Brazil using in India). Would like share some tips: a) Update doesn't "Lock" your handset to original operator which I was fearing. b) if you have rooted your device then first Fully Unroot, Remove Safestrap (or any other such app completely and then do a factory reset after saving your IMP data(including Whatsapp dump), else it will fail. c) I received the update via MotoCast rather then OTA, may be because I am using it in India. d) Update is around 478MB and takes time if slow connection to download, wish I had kept a copy to share with others but couldn't find then "Downloaded file". e) The update is buttery smooth and very fast. f) Lot many changes in the update like earlier Music and Gallery app are gone. New Browser, Google Chrome comes loaded, Few changes in Cam app, Movie Studio. g) Goodies from Motorola: Updated Smart Actions, MotoCast, Emergency Alerts, Voice Mode for voice commands. h) whats I miss is few toggles like WIfe, Mobile Data have been removed so one has to go all the way in to the settings to play with it. g) My Antutu score was 7781 which was earlier 6134.

This phone is much better with JB. Battery consumption improves significantly. Now with same internet setup, I still have 60% charge left in my phone before I plug the phone for charging, amazing.

I agree with you. The only reason I bought this phone because of the build quality and the battery life. But, I don't get one thing, why Motorola is delaying the JB upgrade on this phone whereas similar specs phones are already getting it.

Hey buddy, I know it sucks not to have the JB upgrade but really, as a previous RAZR MAXX owner and current SGS3 owner (got it last month) the JB upgrade isn´t a big step compared to the upgrade from GB to ICS. Rooting is the simplest way to upgrade even to 4.2 and there are many tutorials telling you how to do it in a safe way. But really, just replacing a phone because it doesn´t get the latest SW isn´t the best choice, at least not for the conscious buyer. If you have the money then go on, you won't feel let down. Honestly I miss the premium body finish and battery of my old RAZR MAXX. But at least I know it's in good hands (I gave it to my mom which had a very old Motorola Atrix with Android 2.2. That's what I call outdated stuff)

Had the same problem. Not serious. You need to do a soft reset. Pressing on/off and volume DOWN at the same time for 30 seconds. Then you will need to fully charge it again. Apps use up system resources and are still running if you don't turn your phone off each night. This causes system to not come up (blank screen).

Bought the Razr Maxx from Zoom Shop in Chiangmai Thailand. For some reason after under a month of use, it just shut off. Couldn't turn it back on. Sent it back to Zoom Shop, after 3 days no response I called them and they said they will send it in for repairs, should be about a month. Silly, because it will be in for repairs longer than it was used. Must be just unlucky I got a bad unit, still you would think the seller would be more considerate of the buyer. Most people I know don't have a backup phone. Should have held on to my old phone rather than sell it.

the same happened to me after i updated it to ICS. But i resolved it. Reset your phone by going to Settings->Privacy->Factory Data Reset. Note: Un-tick 'Backup my data' and 'Automatic Restore' options before reseting. After the phone is Reset. Clear the cache. You can do it by performing the following steps. Step 1: From a Power off position press and hold the Power, Vol up and Down Key until the bootloader screen comes up Step 2: Volume down to recovery and than hit Volume up to select Step 3: When the Android with the the Red Triangle appears push the vol up and down button together Step 4: Scroll to clear cache partition and push the power button Step 5: wait for it to clear and than choose reboot once complete by pushing the power button.

Thanks mate!! Also i thought the atrix was a little too Plasticky. I live in India and doubt i'll have access to spares. And ofcourse the 8GB internal is a bit of a problem. Even though the Atrix is worth every penny, doesnt have anything extraordinary. I just bought the MAXX, cant wait for it to be delivered!

There are three major problems I have found in Atrix HD: 1.- It has the same battery as the original RAZR. That phone has poor battery life, now imagine that same battery on a bigger screen with HD resolution?? I'd need to charge the Atrix HD daily. My RAZR MAXX lasts about 2-2.5 days and I use it a lot. 2.- The Atrix HD is an AT&T exclusive phone. I live in Mexico, there is no AT&T here, so it would need to be a factory unlocked model to be considered as an option. 3.- My RAZR MAXX has twice the internal memory and an arguably better design (I may be biased as I own this phone). Other than that, the Atrix HD has some advantages over the RAZR MAXX: 1.- The bigger HD screen is better 2.- The faster and more efficient Dual Core Krait processor 3.- Jelly Bean update is already available 4.- As a newer product, it should receive more updates. As you see, both phones have their pros and cons. It's up to you to decide which one fits your needs better. For me the RAZR MAXX is the better device but if I could choose another option in the Motorola portfolio, I'd look for the RAZR M as well

You're not the only one waiting for it. I live in Mexico and I'm also waiting. It's just a matter of being patient enough for the update. Some Motorola newer devices (like the RAZR i) and the comparable SGSII and Xperia S are still waiting for the update so we have nothing to do but wait... or take the root/custom ROM way

The problem is you can't find a Motorola service center in every country.

battery is non user replaceable but if the battery wears out you could always go to a Motorola service center nearby to get it replaced with a new battery. you dont have to buy a new phone if a battery wears out. batteries can be replaced by the authorised service center people.

I got the razr maxx 5 days ago and I'm having some trouble.. the device shuts down in the middle of the night and sometimes at day too. I googled it and found out that many people had this trouble in Brazil. Some people say that it's a disfunction in 'smart actions (motorola)', but even though I deactivated smart actions, I'm still having this problem. Sometimes it shuts down with a message "out of charge", but it's actually almost full. Can anyone help me? Will I have to wait for Jelly Bean for it to stop? (if it's a firmware problem..) i am content with the device. i have android 4.0.4 ICS running on it. i have 250 apps and games in total installed on it and it works as a charm without any lag. the only thing that bothers me is the service in future. i am from India and Motorola has recently shut down its operations in India. though i feel that the device will not face any major issue.

Does the battery able to stand whole day (texting,calling,browsing) yes, infact after using it extensively the whole day, the battery of my phone still doesnt dry up by 00:00. 20 or 30% of it always remains at the end of the day. Actually I was between the SGS2 and Razr Maxx 4 months ago when I got my contact. I chose Razr Maxx because it's a newer model, has a brighter screen, I like the stock ICS UI a lot more than Touch Wiz, more premium and better looking build quality and the great battery is a big plus. I'd have missed the FM radio or the RGB matrix on the display but the advantages of the Razr Maxx overweights its very few disadvantages over the SGS2. Anyway you won't regret choosing any of both phones. It's a safe bet.

I'm a Razr Maxx user and while the pixel density is lower than SG SIII I feel the Razr Maxx has the upper hand in brightness levels. Pictures look gorgeous on my screen and just very small text on Web pages would look compromised on this screen (easily solved by zooming) . HSDPA speed is fine. Camera is good on daylight, it takes pictures with almost no lag (flash disabled). Colors aren't as punchy as SIII but look more natural on the Razr Maxx. Night shots aren't recommended, flash is only useful for 2 meters or less and disabling flash would bring low noise but some blur to the pictures. Video recording is above average with stereo sound and they look great on my HDTV (it includes the HDMI cable). Dual core processor is smooth (more with the 4.0.4 update) most of the time but as any Android device it'll lag when the RAM is full. Build quality is top notch and I'm glad Motorola didn't take the other's way to just put as many plastic as they could. So that's it, if you have more doubts please let me know.

Oops, my mistake. I was referring to the Razr Maxx HD being better than this one but it's also more expensive and the battery has more pixels to push so I don't think it'll have better battery life than the regular Razr Maxx . Just my user experience

Hi Den. You shouldn't have problems with Razr Maxx's screen. It's pentile matrix but considering you are currently using a Nokia (I had a C6-01 before this) you'll just notice more pixels. Pentile matrix isn't bad. I have no problems with web fonts and this screen is very bright with great contrast. Razr Maxx is better but it'll also be more expensive and it's battery, while being the same size as this one, has more pixels to feed

Let's just say the screen is noticeably pentile-ish at 540x960. So if you have a problem with that, you'd better wait for the HD version. The HD version supposedly beats the Galaxy S3 display.

Hi all! I've been a Nokia person ever since and just recently my phone started to conk out. I'm a power user so while searching for phones with good battery life, this one obviously came up. I live in SEA and now I don't know if I should bear using my dying Nokia phone to wait for the Maxx HD to be released here, or if I should just go ahead and buy the Razr Maxx already. I have no ploblems after upgrade to ICS. I set my phone to factory reset before upgrade. Afyer upgrade I use it for half a day then i reset to factory reset again. After that i set up phone and use it dialy. So far I never have prblem that mention here.

Could you be more specific about those bugs you mention in ICS??? I'm running ICS on my RAZR MAXX and it's better than GB. The homescreen has been updated, the menus are improved with a slightly faster response and better arranged (apps and widgets are found in the same Menu), better animated effects and even the battery life seems better. My only issue so far is when I leave the music player paused for several hours, once I want to resume playing it would start over instead playing where I paused it. And it may get slow response for a couple seconds if you get running several RAM hungry apps. Not a big deal for me.

Compared to the other smartphones I've had i.e HTC One S, Samsung GsII and iPhone 4s this Motorola is by far the superior unit. few things most probably useful for new users. 1. Do a hard reset/factory restore which solves most of the hanging related issues. 2. Disable 3G, wifi, GPS with the help of widgets when not in use gives extra battery life for extra calls and sms 3. Don't over-load the mobile with apps which uses the ram. 4. Any app having issue force stop the app before un-installing it. 5. if you want more security - active sim pin lock, phone lock, encrypt the data internal & card. 6. change the camera mp from 6 to 8 depending on the camera usage. 7. if you experience any slow process restart the phone and check the running apps for details. 8. pressing home button for 1 or 2 sec opens recent apps which can be closed by swiping it left of right not sure it act as task manager. thx MAX

Not sure any app would help you with that, how would it guees which song to skip or not? And motion based skip/back could probably give you many false positives while running. Bluetooth sweatproof headphones such as S10 HD or S11 Flex HD should provide you with that function. S11 just came out and has volume rocker, skip/back, play/pause, EQ and call buttons. Dual microphone and 5 adjustable parts. There's also the MotoACTV device, which you can wrap around your arm and control from there.

Are you complainning just because you only get 75 hours between recharges, really!?!? I only get 48 hours from my RAZR MAXX and I don't complain considering I use it a lot, nothing close to what GSM arena do when they set the Endurance rating, I also play games, use the GPS and spend more time watching videos and surfing the web. Your unit is fine, it's just that I don't think you only make calls, play videos or surf the web for just an hour, that's how they get their Endurance Tests.

They measure in the way like: 1. fully charge the batter on first time 2. turn off every features(wireless, gps, bt...etc) 3. unplug the SIM card, memory card 4. set the dimmest display Basically no framework /sync from the phone, then it comes out the result as the time to spend on killing 1% of batter life to 100% and take mean average. e.g. kill 1% of batter takes 10 minutes, than 100% = 100 x 10 = 1000 minutes : 16.66 hours Always remember the last 1% of the phone will took the longest time, therefore the last 1% might last 15~20 minutes in that test mode. Hi everyone. I've just bought this phone yesterday and so far it's been great. Build quality is superb and there are tons of apps. ICS runs great despite its not-anymore-top of the line hardware. Well said boss, Motorola has done it. To me battery life matters the most. You really have to try hard to completely drain out the battery. Beside, 1 gigs duel core is a fast enough processor to keep your phone running smoothly. Motorola Razr Maxx is a flawless phone. Extremely good looking, very well built. I'm proud to own this phone.

Dear All, Iam using RAZR MAXX from 15 days now. First of all, iam not 'FAN boy' of anyone nor my opinion and experience are biased. If any one has solution other than upgrading to ICS for below issues kindly let me know. Iam corporate mail user and previously used SAMSUNG G2 for one year without much issues except battery. For the very reason i have migrated to RAZR MAXX with GB 2.4.6 recently. Issues: 1) Default exchange mail sync app sucks. works fine on WIFI but when switched to EDGE or on 3G, shows 'no connectivity' when there was smooth browsing happening on default browser. 2) contact info shared through simple SMS is missing as it converts contact into MMS.3) EDGE browsing is slow and pathetic on default browser. The above issues are not at all there in SAMSUNG G2 and was smooth all the way. If you have any solution (without ICS update) kindly let me know. my email id is [email protected].

Nearly all phones have a moment of "weirdness" where they freeze or unexpectedly shut down on you! Been running the Max for a few months now ... No glitches, no unexplained turn offs, no uncertainty whatsoever! It seems the phone has the right combination of CPU speed,ram,screen architecture and of course BATTERY LIFE etc. It does everything all the other phones can so whilst working well within it's capabilities. On numerous occasions my iPhone mates have grabbed my maxx to give it a work over ... Always the response is what a great phone ... It seems they've been locked into the mindset that only Apple make praise worthy phones ... It's almost like they've been brainwashed!! It's really quite bazaar! BTW, I have an iPhone 4 ... It lives in the drawer at home!

Hi Dude I think there is no review for Razr Maxx is GSMarena because is pretty much the same phone as Razr, only the higher battery capacity is different, so you can check the review of the normal Razr to know specs and comparisons with other phones. What you can be sure is that Razr maxx battery is the benchmark for all the other phones

before razr maxx i had s-2, arc-s, note, but battery of same has to be recharged some time twice a day as andriod operating system consume too much battery, but now with razr maxx problem has sloved, it gives 3 days of heavy use in single charge.well done motorola.

I have samsung Note. I also have Moto Razr. The build qualty of Moto is much better than Samsung. If you have chance try out Razr Maxx in the store. It is better to have big battery. Samsung battery will not last you full day usage. I plan to upgrade battery of my Razr to 3300 mah. So my phone will become Razr Maxx

don't worry that is only the way of how shows to you the percentage of battery. im using a widget that i download from the market and do displays at the same way, you can download another if makes you feel better. about the 3300 mA not sure if there is any app who can shows this but the thing is if its a razr MAXX must have 3300 mA battery

Oh men, that's a question that I never made me before, well what I can tell you is if its a razr MAXX it must has 3300 mA, I'm not sure if there is any app who can help you on this but you can check in the playstore or you can open your razr maxx and see the battery label which is pasted in the battery itself, the thing is you will lose the warranty if you open it. my advise is trust in advertisement and specs about this phone

Hi Men The thing is that razr maxx is actually a normal razr (XT910) but with a increment on the battery capacity, the other resources are exactly the same, actually even when you upgrade OS it will show as XT910. so don't worry about this.

For those who has battery issues after upgrade to ICS, I read in another forum that some guy fix this disabling "Motorola Services" app which is suposed was sucking almost 50% of his battery, try it, Im not sure if works because I dont have this problem, the normal should be the screen use more than 50% of the battery and the rest of the apps do not use more than 10% or around that

Hi Men sounds weird, because its suposed that ICS has better management of all resources as memory and battery for example. in my case doesn't change too much but is hard to really know it because the usage of mine is not the same everyday but i dont really feel that ICS is a battery killer as some said. what you can do is a wipe cache, at the beginning maybe you feel your razr a little bet slow but as soon as the cache loads again everything on this ICS format will be faster, maybe this help, i did it during the upgrade just to prevent any incompatibility.

Hi Settings->Developer options->Force GPU rendering, you just check this option, you can read a little bet on the web about this because looks like it also has some compatibility problems with some apps, but by the moment I didn't find anyone.

I just upgrade my razr maxx to ICS and I found an option which makes the GPU to work harder instead the CPU with the apps, so for me this reduce a lot the heat when I watch videos or play some games, you can try if also work for you. Im not sure if this exist in GB.

those who worry about the screen/glass please take note that it is not unbreakable, nor it's super fragile.I am talking about accidental drop or carrying pattern, not abuse. some may put it into pockets with other things or in their pants so the phone are subject to pressure and friction. being a 4 inches + and only 1mm thick glass, this carrying pattern can be considered as light abuse to it already. If you drop it on the floor then it's nobody's fault but yourself if it breaks. Some may say that my xxxx brand with a gorilla glass wont break when i drop it and others with the same glass of other brands break easily. This is all related to the sizes and the designs of each phones, when you drop it it depends on the first contact point of the phone with the floor surface which we may not notice in split seconds. It also depends on the body of the phone which hold the glass as plastic or aluminum body has different value of shock absorbent. So the only way is just be careful and use a protector case

This is my first Motorola device ever. I was a loyal HTC user & was going to get the One X but decided to get the MAXX for the strong battery performance. This is a brilliant device which can do what other high end devices do, with no worries about switching off after losing power. I'd like also to add that the build quality of the MAxx is very strong, I once dropped it on its screen & it slipped several meters over the street, & nothing happened. Still waiting for the ICS update. Just buy it.

This phone has as Gorilla glass screen. Just as any other high end phone out there. These perform identical according to size. Gorilla glass is mostly sensitive to breaking if falling on it's side. All types of tempered/hardened glass is like this. Basically you have to abuse it to break. Maybe one in a number of thousands would get one where the glass is under tension, and it would break without physical abuse. In this case the glass breaks in a different manner, very easy to see, and should be covered by it's warranty.

I was aware that Android was a power hungry at crazy levels and as a N8 user I demand good battery life, so I can confirm that the RAZR Maxx battery is equally awesome, you can leave your charger at home and the RAZR will survive with data ON, GPS ON, Bluetooth ON, all day long, of course take in mind that the huge battery (3200mAh for MX model) take more time to charge than other phones, but is not a issue if you charge at night, I'm just waiting for ICS update

Hi Saga and everyone I just upgrade my razr maxx to ICS this weekend as told you before, ICS is simply amazing, the UI change a little bet and I need to keep looking but I'm very happy. I have only one issue during the upgrade, after installation process and reboot system on the "starting applications" process at the end gets freezed, so I get worried but I just pressed the power button and starts running again, no idea why, but nothing fails and there is no other issue, I'm very glad with the upgrade, Razr MAXX + ICS = Amazing phone

I went to metallicas concert and used camero and video camera from 21:00 to 00:30.... Hi If you want to wait for the release of Telcel's official OTA I think that the end of the world will be first!!! jajaja just a joke. Mmmmm I have no problem with battery life, Maybe it drop a little bit with ICS but nothing to worry. It still have a good battery life compare with iPhones and other devices, believe me having an iPhone is so frustrating you need to charge up battery twice a day!!! Also is important to watch out how many apps do you have open, your phone cant do everything and last all day if you have a lot of apps open during the day, wifi, data, etc. Note: My phone with ICS... still running fine, dont worry!

Hi Buhuvan About the heat, that actually pass to me and i dont even upgrade to ICS, I think is related to the power of the chipset, look it depends of the usage of the phone, if you are running games like Modern combat 3 or similar obviously the chipset will work harder than with a regular app like facebook or calculator. In case of heat just need to let it rest for a some minutes and will be OK, or if you keep it working at some moment when reach a risk temperature it will freeze automatically to protect itself and restart. Im in Mexico and I know this happens to all the smartphones when are your apps really demands that the hardware works harder. you can also disble background data in social apps to reduce the demand to the hardware.

I have used it for a month now. Call quality is excellent (this is key reason why i put my iPhone as a secondary phone now). It is fast enough for all taks, with very little lag, compensated by animation effects. Battery justifies its fame: can use it for 2 days with 3G always on, 2.5 hours of daily phone calls, around 50 sms/ day, 1 hours of internet access... But i still miss the simplicity of my iPhone UI. Very intuitive P.S: i am using android ICS, officially updated OTA last week.

Hello! I usually use my phone via wifi, it is better for me because in work and in my house I have connection. So I dont know the speed via 3g, I use it very rarely. But the few times that I used it, it was fast. Sorry if I cant answer ypur question. This version of OS is only for Mexico.

Hi People I have this phone for 1 month, it's a tremendous phone really awesome, but not everything is perfect, it has a hardware fail in the speaker which is only connected to the motherboard by pressure so at some moment usually in the first month it will stop sounds, but don't worry only need to press gently just below the speaker and the sound return but later will stop again, if you go with your dealer they will give you a new one but the fail will appear again, anyway I love this phone and I will handle this issue at my way

Got this phone about a month or so ago. Great phone in almost all areas. For me the worst part of it is the resolution of the screen. It really should be higher. And has an annoying white background in the menus. The single worst part - by far - is the vibration. Or rather the lack of it. I thought my Samsungs were bad. (SGS, SGN and SGT) This one doesn't even come close. Have this in your pocket or in your belt, and you'd probably not feel it vibrating. Main reason why I'm considering getting rid of it. Though the battery part is great. No other smartphone even comes close. Which is why I landed on this phone in the first place.

Had the same problem,reset phone and each time it downloaded 12 update, I did this a few times, started to get cross at this, then decided to reset again, but this time , only updated google maps,motorola update and google voice. and now works fine ,internet and play store are now fine. Hope this helps.

Agree Jax. The outdated user cache may create abnormal behavior. Ph may not boot Few of the apps crashes Repeated request to network to get the data links which may hogg the battery to 0% within hours. Its better to hard-reset after ICS update.

Got the ICS 4.0.4 upgrade in India for my phone. Love it... Make sure you do a hard reset after the upgrade as the Android system upgrades are very messy internally (for any phone). I know it's painful to upload everything again but it does improve performance and battery life. LOVE THIS PHONE and proud to have it....

I had this phone for 4 months now. It is great. I can do everything with this phone including video calling. Not that much delay. As well, you guys are talking about FM stations: It has all the internet channels imaginable. Maybe your carrier doesn't have any. The video and pics are amazing and the speed is out of this world. I love this phone and will buy the ATRIX next.

Razr MAXXX +++++ I had everything turn on, stream music for 2 hours and made a lot off calls. I lasted for 36 hours, the I had to recharge. For daily use, I have Bluetooth and wifi turn on and 20-30 calls a day, then it lasted for 72 hours. When i recharged it, there was still 10 % on the battery. GREAT PHONE

Motorola is expected to announce RAZR MAXX HD so unless you are in a hurry to buy a phone then wait for that one. Additional specs expected is the SUPER AMOLED HD (720p) display and a 13 MP camera. Only drawback is the battery wont be 3300 mhA but rumored to be 3100 mhA which is still gigantic compared to other phones.

Don't know about XT910, but Razr Maxx screen is quite good. I feel the color scheme is a little on the warm side than neutral. But that could just be me. More feedback on the phone. The edge which is some sort of a glossy-plated rim, got a tiny little scratch :( I think my nails chipped off a little part. The plating on the rim can't be all that good for it to come off so easily. Have ordered a Otterbox case as well... since I tend to be a slightly rough user. Camera is pretty good from first impressions. Battery is a finally under 10% after 48 hours of unpacking. It was about 90% when I unpacked the box. Did not charge it at all. Wifi was on for 24 hours. About 7 hours of calling. 30 minutes of gaming. So yeah... great battery life.

Just changed to this phone after using galaxy note for a month. have been an iPhone user for past 6 years. Galaxy note surely is a PC replacement and by far the best Android device. Its just awesome, only if it had a good battery to do all it says it can do... in one charge :(. Now i have this razr maxx and boy im impressed. This phone is better if not same built quality as iphone with a battery you can really bank on. Lasts about 2 days with 9 email accounts rc 30 mails each everyday and about 4-5 hours of talking business+ other stuff like whats app facebook etc. Verdict about ANDROID from me is that the OS itself is a battery sucker. Put 3300 mah cell in iPhone and it would take pains for atleast a week. Also this open source OS is tweaked by every company which leaves loop holes at various places. I can jot down 100+ small features/ glitches which both samsung & Motorola phones lack somewhere. Android has got a looooooong way to go...but so does RIM & iOS ;)... so buy this phone as it will atleast last a day of rigourous use....

Just got this phone. I haven't tinkered around with it a lot yet, but first impressions are very good. Build quality is really sturdy. It's a large phone, especially for someone like me who is coming in from a snug little blackberry phone. The rounded edges means it's very easy to hold (xperia p and s both dig into your hands after a bit of playing around in the showroom). Speaker is very loud and clear both for ringer and music. Earphones that come with the phone are in-ear phones with very good quality and stay stuck in your ear and do not keep slipping out. A really nifty thing about the playlist is that they shuffle the songs around in the playlist (like in Winamp) instead of playing songs randomly from your library. The big difference is that with Motorola, you can be assured that it will play every song at least once before repeating songs in shuffle mode. I really like that, because even when carrying 4GB of songs, my iPod tends to repeat a bunch of songs a whole lot when on shuffle mode. More impressions coming up later. PS: Anyone aware of ICS update in India? I'd hate to learn Gingerbread (which is turning out to be quite a task for a iOS/Blackberry accustomed user like me) and then relearn ICS all over again.

Sound quality is very good. To gain more from music download "POWER AMP" from google play. Use a good quality headset. The headset come with unit will not produce a good sound, I use Bose in-ear serie 2 with microphone. So I do not need another music player.

I'm searching for a smartphone that fulfills these four demands: Battery Life(Really important), Audio Quality with and without headphones(The second most important.It has to be pretty good), Call Quality(Same as audio, but is the third most important) and Speed of the system(it has to be fast. To address the question about talk times, battery life, etc. The first Razr was the most powerful made to date. And it sucked up the battery inside an hour talking in 4G. I feel bad for the people that got that model, when I was last in Verizon they were heavily pushing a bundle cheap with a secondary to recharge from. The Razr Maxx has the worlds largest capacity cellphone battery. I have trouble being succint sometimes, point being, I use my Maxx all day everyday GPS voice, web browsing playing movies. I usually charge every OTHER day. This bad boy isn't hobbled by poor battery performance and it also comes with smart technology that kills apps, immediately refocuses processing power to whatever app is running and learns your routine as it goes. You can even set the audio alerts to go silent when you approach a GPS location, like the conference room in your office. My phone shuts off audio automatically when I walk in the staff room and automatically turn it back on when I leave. And you can set that up anywhere via GPS and the touchscreen using Google maps. Folks this isn't a phone with some cool web browsing features. Its a tiny dualcore processor running the android operating system, which was derived from Unix. SO basically your carrying around in your pocket as much power as some Unix servers had 10 years ago. I use it like its a computer, remote login to servers, control my home network. If Motorola could come up with a way to have the phone tap into your nervous system form simulated sex and it could pop out min pizza's and liquids, it would be the only thing you needed the rest of your life.

Correction; Droid Razr Maxx also has GSM radio, which will be enabled soon. Doubt that it will support your native language though. Besides, it seems the European RAZR is being favoured over the US Droid RAZR in terms of updates this time.

I found DROID Maxx's sar value, it was easy. 1,45 w/kg for head and 0,71 w/kg for body. But I can not find normal Maxx's sar value. Internet always gives me the DROID one, not this phone. Does anybody know SAR of this phone? Thanks.

You can delivery to a tech service/sho to have it replaced, or you can do it yourself. It's not difficult to replace the battery, much like changing on a watch (with no screws or special watch tool required, only a thin flat bladelike tool). It opens from the side, then you pop the back cover off. Keep in mind this does void warranty if you do it yourself, but most likely the battery will get worn out after warranty is already expired.

The pictures which the DROID RAZR MAXX took came out great. They have great contrast, nice metering and dynamic range for a phone camera shots, along with top-of-the-line resolved detail and pleasant colors. Check out a few of samples below. Come on people, by now we think it�s safe to say that most people are totally enchanted by the battery life of the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX. Seriously, just using it on a normal everyday basis, shows exactly why it�s the king in terms of longevity � whereas others simply flail as they run out of juice. Well, to further make the point as to why their product is superior over other smartphones for Verizon, Motorola decided to run a test where they pit the DROID RAZR MAXX against the iPhone 4S and LG Spectrum. In fact, they juiced every one of them to 100%, strapped them to the top of a car, and drove around while running the VZ Navigator app on all three. If you�re one who happens to be a constant user of turn-by-turn navigation apps, you�re more than aware about its stress on a handset�s battery life. As the video shows, the first victim to go is the LG Spectrum, which lasted a paltry 2 hours and 27 minutes. Next up, the Verizon iPhone 4S taps out completely at the 3 hour and 45 minute mark � though, it�s worth noting that it was running off of 3G, as opposed to LTE like the other two. Finally, the car reaches its destination at the 4 hour and 12 minute mark, and interestingly enough, the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX is still chugging along at 40% capacity. Razr Maxx is the answer but for me it's not perfect. 1) I hope that it have larger screen maybe 4.7in it's more comfortable to view website and email in larger screen. 2) No super amoled screen because it use more battery when viewing website that have a lot of white background. 3) better phone design the Razr Maxx is not appealing to me. 4) up to date software ICS maybe? 5) Better processor that have power saving feature and can boost the processing speed when needed (ex Tegra 3) I don't understand why the manufacturer race for thinnest phone? that is overrated for me as long as it's not too bulky. If Motorola have all these things I think Razr Maxx can sell like a hot cake.

Take in example the dual core 1.5GHz snapdragon. Higher clock frequency, but exactly same performamce output as this TI 1.2GHz. Don't be fooled by numbers. Quad-core is for 720 displays and higher. No point in using quad-core on any lower resolution than that. Compared to Droid RAZR MAXX, this is the same phone only GSM version.

for the specification i think is pretty good even thought most of the high class smartphones such as galaxy s2 or even xperia s have almost the same spec, but this razr spec is even more amazing with thos 3300mah battery, it's almost twice of sgs2 battery

i have used many brands of phones and felt Mot used to be the best in hardware design, usability and reliability but software was sluggish previously. Now still the best in hardware design and coupled with Google Android, it is simply perfect. to me, Mot phones has won the competition but people are moved or blinded by marketing gigs and have no knowledge of its hard/software.... Mot really need to work on its marketing strategies!!! so what if mot has the best phones but poor marketing gigs... people need to be wooed...

Top-end mobile processors, screen-resolutions and displays-tecniques and mobile cameras have come to a point, that minor differences between manufactors doesnt matter that much any more. More important for me is substantially increased battery-capacity (original - not extended battery-kits) and for example sealed water-repeliant electronics (check link below). You wouldnt believe how many garantee-requests thats get turned down because of that standard-phrase: "Moist inside the phone".

Bullshit? In which sense? Would you rather have a quad-core 720-screenres phone on a 1750mAh barrety? These dual-cores are really good still, more cores on higher res equals just about the same fps in most instances, but draining batteries. Higher battery capacity is most important right now. More CPU/GPU power per 720 screen res plus 3300mAh battery is the next step, but no rush until a year or so. There still much more optimizing possibilites for the dual-cores. ICS brings some of them.

Maxx have the best battery life than any phone in the market which is good but the upcoming phones from Moto are my real target because of the Intel CPU and better display, screen quality. Lets hope for a release in the Philippines - and in Sweden there I live. But on the other hand - its not a physical Qwerty-phone, like the "Nokia Asha 303", for example. So you not dependent on any physical keyboard-language remake. This should make it much easier to get your hands on this baby, one way or the other, even if its not officially imported by the big dragons.
