Hello. You have a great portal. Now I have got another phones, but the best photo quality I have experienced was with the Z3. I really do not understand how is this possible, since the phone has a 2MP camera, unfortunately, this model is discontinued, but I am sure that if you could include this phone in your camera comparison chart, it will be amazing! even compared with 12MP cameras of new models, and compared with Lumix 15MP and Sony regular cameras (I have handled pictures in a PC because of my work and I can compare) Does anyone know what's the point here and how could I get this unusual quality again weather in a camera or in a cell phone? This phone has great features and is made with high technology but tha problem is that the internet connection is expired hence you cannot browse with it..Furthermore there is scarcity of spare parts for this phone.

I've had mine for 3 years. The centre button has fallen off as has the grip for the slider. Still usable though. The screen sometimes goes just to the backlight when I close the slider, and I have to pull battery out to reset phone. If you forget to charge the phone and the battery starts to run out in the night, prepared to be awakened by an anoying beep, beep, beep... Battery life is now minimal ( a couple of days on standby)Time to upgrade. Not to a Motorola though. Worst phone I've owned.

Z3 is an affordable phone but its good for a price liike that you can even customize and add or remove icons from your menu with motorola p2k tools3 (computer app)

I had this phone for a year and a half, and it worked pretty well in the beginning...except it was a little slow. Example: when I would text the words would take much longer to appear than it would for me to type them. At about a year the navigation button started coming off like it was a sticker. Then it completely came off, once that happened my phone started acting funny. Pretty soon I couldn't use the navigation button at all, and the numbers weren't really working anymore. Needless to say after a week of this I got a new phone. If you use your phone a lot of texting I don't recommend this phone.

I personally believe this is one of the better phones of all time. I admit it is a bit slow, but it's really a small price to pay for the incredible range of features. I adore it's camera! With a LED flash. It's loud speaker is absolutely brilliant. The screen is not the biggest, but in it's price range, it just is. If you want a reasonably priced phone with most of modern features, this is it! You may find it a bit difficult to operate, but that fault is with the operator and not the phone.

These rumors that Motorola phones have problems are "RUMORS". Your phone (z3) and previously my phone after i bought zn5 was the most friendly phone and it served my nicely. After 4 years, i am still using it as my zn5 is on service, but the only problem i see is it's keys. Unfortunately that is a problem, but if you thing twice, this phone worths it. Ofcource not to mention that we have 2009 and not 2005!!! So my advice is= buy a new phone, also Motorola, and why not the zn5? Nice camera (the best 5mp on a phone) great speakes HQ and many profesional stuff!!!

If u have pro regarding serfing & dnld plz upgarge ur phone software from motorola service centre, use browsers like opera mini (4.0). that can help you for high speed dnld, remember its a edge enabled phone...for better performence get manual setings from sim provider, do not open the slide when its not needed, end of all end of all ...love ur phone be gentle with that

I've had this phone for about two years and been pretty happy with it. Sure, the navigation button and center button peeled off, but it's generally a good phone (surprisingly good photos and videos for just 2mp, fantastic battery life, etc), i'm just really bored of it now :}

Hey "ro" you said you exchanged your phone because the top buttons peeled off... after 1 year and 9 months (1 month less than you) the same has happened to me. I've lost the small circular center button, but the larger donut looking navigation button is still hanging on for all it's worth, so thats good. Anyway, did you exchange the phone at the place you bought it? Any help would be great as I really like the phone but its getting hard to use it with buttons missing.

The front key pad peels off. I did however like the phone very nice. I did like the glitches though. my phone wont turn on some times. Its kinda slow when loading stuff and also for some reason when I hit the center button it countiusly types in 6s, by that point I have to turn it off because it wont stop. then thats when it choose not to turn on...

Im using Z3 for 2 years now. Picture quality is good. Sound quality is good, but volume output is very low. Phone speaker sometimes don't work when there is high moisture. Numberic keypad is hard and keys not working. Then Center button and navigation key ripped off. Photos with high resolutions won't open. Accessing even 1 GB SD card phone becomes slow.

This phone rules! I have it for 2 years now, and no other new phone made me give it up! It's true that after 1 year and 10 months the upper buttons peeled, and the center one got lost, but I exchanged them and now it looks as new. It is red. The pics made with it can easily replace a performed camera, the image is so clear and the quality is high. The ringtones sound as a real player. Great phone, great battery, it still has its original battery and it works for 3-4 days. And I talk a lot (800 minutes/month). I had a Nokia, a Samsung and an Alcatel before it, but this is the one I liked best, and as I said at the beginning, there is no other phone on the market that makes me want to exchange it.

2nd Moto phone I use, still garbage after many years. We have two bought different years, both charger USB have contact problem. Using varizon yet many places have weak signal. features are wired not easy to use. Varizon also often ring me at mid night, once a minute until you get up and turn off it - Varizon sent you a garbage message! Now battery dead.

i bought this cellphone for myself (before the w850) and i hand it over my wife (to buy another) the pics are very good, it has a flash light for better pic quality and so.. but the mp3 player feature is really bad.. in order to play a bunch of songs (like a mp3 will normaly do) you need to create a playlist.. and if you have a lot of songs (like the ones you would have if you use this as mp3) it takes forever to load the list of songs so you can select the ones going into the playlist... i believe ppl dont like the idea of having a camera, an mp3 and a cellphone in the pocket.. having all 3 in one device would be awesome so we expect better quality for everything PRO: camera is very good, i would totally recomend it.. CONS: mp3 player function is really bad, no EQ, not loud enough, (altho speaker is OK), and not real mp3 funtionality. other comments: if you dont mind the mp3 funtionality so much i would recomend this to you, the pics are very good.

Well I have this phone for more than 1year now, almost 2years. The buttons come off. I use a little glue to stick them on again. All fine. In rest I cannot say I had problems with it. The battery is good, keeps charged for 5 days and I talk a lot. I like the fact that i can charge it on the computer. I never take the charger with me. In rest what can I say: the next phone will be a motorola also. I hope it will last as much as this one.

Okay so like, my mom got this phone about a month ago on ebay because her old phone screwed over from water damage. We got it from Europe on Ebay, so the charger it came with doesn't work, we figured that'd be the voltage of the power outlets we are using. So we tried our computer, and it worked, but then later, she was having a phone call, and it suddenly went white, then turned off, then it would turn white again in a few seconds, and we couldn't turn it on, ETC. it wouldn't charge. My dad somehow got it to charge in the outlet with the old charger (same size) and now it did the white hippie thing, and it won't charge in the normal charger, so we're trying the computer, now it turns on when we plug it in, and show's the charging light, and says it is charging, but then, it turns off automaticly, and stops charging... it's annoying. We can't charge it like this, what to do?

My Rizr Z3 has a problem with shutting off... whenever I press on the screen just above the little ridge handle for sliding the phone open, the screen blinks white for a split second and then shuts itself off. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Hi, my friend had a motorola Rizr Z3 and I was trying to set up the internet on the phone but I am unable to. even though he can use it as a modem he cant just browse using the phone unless he use it as modem. well readin all those comments says alot... well ive had my z3 well over a year now... an ive always loved it even tho... the center buttons would eventually come off( its glued down wat u ll exepect) but yet id prefer no other phone... the cam isnt the best but compared to other top phones wit 2mp i ll say its up there others may have better quailty but the fact is how much more pics i can take in sequence an theres no nokia, sony ericsson or samsung dat can compete... sound wise its not the best but the loudspeaker is gd only to the quality and bitrate of the songs u play... battery life is fairly trouble some at times depended on how much u ll like to play music or talk.. (i do wish it had a music player like the V1100 atleast) to me this phone has some of the best signal dat ive ever seen, where all y other frens phone lack signal i was on full bars but it all depends on the SP.... hmmp did i miss anythin....ohh an it fairly moodable which is a plus... in all its a great phone its not perfect but id recomment the z6 which is a farily better version since it got an OS an a music player

The Z3 is a good phone but if has a few errors.Everyone i know who has this phone always has the complaint of the middle button coming out an the side buttons lifting..i have the phone and the said thing happened to me i was pissed!!!!!! I had to glue the middle button back in & my side button still raisesd up..i even got cut from it because it is so sharp!!! this is a hazaurdous phone to get for a young teen!!!so buyers take note!Even when i tried to glue the sharp it raised the middle button bak up!! & i started off right were i began!

I just bought this phone a week ago and I think it's the cheapest among phones with the same specification. It's not a music phone thou so I'm not pleased with the mp3 player and no FM radio but overall I love it (compact size,good cam,good sound quality). Even LG KE770 could not beat the price here in Indonesia.

I've had the Rizr Z3 since April '06 and I still like it very much except the center buttons are destined to fall off because they're glued to a transparent silicon membrane. Like any other phone that's painted with this rubberized coating make sure you purchase a hard case to prevent scrapes along the edges and don't forget a screen protector since it's constantly exposed and prone to scratches.

worst phone I ever owned! lasted me like 3months. I droped it one time and it messed up the flex cable, screen went static then white, had the phone fixed 3 times. motorola CP are made poor, a few friends have razors and had nothing but trouble. don't go for slider phones, you have to deal with the flex getting messed up. I have a v400 and It still works and a L6 before that I gave away and it was a good phone still works also, but it now looks like motorolas quality is going down hill. I now own a Nokia N82, best phone I ever had execpt for the buttons on it the are a little small, but a lot better construction than Motorola.

im having the same problem and the white screen thing..they told me i have the best service for signal where im at it's just a bad phone, it happens they told me and they are sending me a new one..i've only had it for 1 day. if you're going to get T-mobile go to a t-mobile store (not auth. payment/dealer but a corp. store) they have the same deals in the store as online minus our phone lol i was just in there today, but they didnt have my phone. if you order off the internet store in stores can't do a thing for you except swap sims cards...wich also could give you bad signal.

This is a really Great phone. Xtreamly durable I have had it over a year and I am unable to count the mass number of times that i have dropped this phone. Not to mention the time that I left it on top of my car and the phone blown of by the wind while driving 50mph, on to the pavement. it survived without major physical damage and i have never experienced any performance issues. Except pressure needed to access front screen keys. Excellent phone for the functionality style and price.

Browsing through EDGE network is really a good experience. How many text messages does this phone hold? I had an old version razor and it was awful... It could only hold 30 in inbox. I have asked this question everywhere. I just purchased it and am hoping I love it. And, is there any special type of glue that can but the center button back on? T-Mobile offers this Motorola RIZR Z3 which has known issues of turning off during calls, taking photos or any other functions. T-Mobile has known this phone issue for over 2 years yet keep offering this bad phone to public.

Yeah, I have had 2 of these phones...and the middle button always falls off. If your phone is still in good condition your company should replace it, but you lose any data on your phone, which is lame. I think the one other than that though. It sometimes tweaks out, but not anything you can't get through

Well i had the phone since August 2007 and the middle round button came off, well both of them, the small one first. i say less than a year around the 6th or 7th month. Now im getting a nokia 5310. i like the motorola better, but lets see how Nokia works.

Yes, I had a devil of a time trying to remove the micro-SD. There is a plastic flap that is meant to stop it working out of the socket. You have to push that down to get the card out. Even with that, there's nothing to grab onto. And how are you supposed to get the SIM card out? That's even worse. Otherwise, the phone looks pretty good, tho I've got worried about all the reports of buttons falling off. I hope this is something they've fixed since then. I find the menus and such are not so intuitively laid out as my previous Nokia. And the software from Motorola is horrible, as I expected. I'm using P2KCommander to talk to it. When I get more comfortable with it I will customize with a monster pack or somesuch.

They did it for me. I have a replacement RIZR for the first one and told her I'd rather not have it for the 2nd replacement. T-Mobile is sending a RAZR. Not sure if I'll like it, but at least the buttons won't fall off. Was your phone still under warranty? I bought mine in September and the buttons fell off in January. They sent the same exact phone, now 6 mos later the buttons are coming off the replacment. They were very kind and its not costing me a dime. If you upgrade they will charge you and if you ask for fast ship they will charge you. I did neither. Ground shipping is free.

Actually, I've treated my phone very well and the buttons still come off. It is the glue that holds it on. My phone has not been dropped or been wet. This is a known problem and this is the second phone in 4 months that the buttons have come off. Everything else about the phone I like. Takes good pictures and video. I would ask for another if I knew the buttons wouldn't come off.

DON'T BUY THIS PHONE! They have a major design flaw that will cause the buttons to fall off even with gentle use. It is because of a glue that doesn't keep them on and Motorola has acknowledged that this is a problem. Your service provider will probably not replace your phone, but you can trade it in for the same model (and have to go through that all over again). I have had T-mobile for 6 months with this phone and had to replace it twice already. It sucks!!

Worst phone I've ever owned. I got one from T-mobile in February, it broke. Got another one in March, sound quality with bluetooth was very poor. Returned it and got another one. This one lasted about three months. There was dust in the screen and finally in June the screen started forming white lines that got worse every day. T-mobile allowed me to exchange it for a Nokia (of course I had to pay something, so they got even more money out of me), but at least I am done with Motorola--forever. I had a Razr before the Rizr which lasted a couple of years until the screen came unglued and glue leaked all over it while on an airplane.

Obr_c Ph Sig Err: 35: 02:" msg...I tried flashing the backup but FB3 could flash the ".smg" format backups to the z3...so I flashed a Moto K1 backup to my z3 and now it doesn't come on...the battery is fully charged but when I pressed the key switch it on, nothing happens...can anyone help...

Had 2 of these phones for 10 months. I enjoy its size and feel. Easy connection to the internet using it as a modem for my PC with supplied mobile phone tools. No problems with phoning or sms'ing. Good camera. Disappointed with the battery life (both phones)do not last as long as claims or my V3. Do occasionally get the white screen, once in the middle of the night, and phone was switched off!! Alarm did not go off that morning even though enabled. Solid sliding action, not like some other phones I've tested.

After Modifying: -installed thelaxplaya07's monster pack -the sound volume became louder (then my sister's Sony Ericsson K800i and even my brother's K750i) -modified the startup and shutdown splash screen -became faster to operate -addition of ringlights and funlights -capture video IN MP4 FORMAT! -i installed cool skins like iphone, etc. -installed a lot of games and apps -when you are at your phonebook, a voice speaker is speaking the highlighted name -when you type numbers in the main screen, a voice is speaking also -chaned the DRM (the upper part of your phone's screen that includes your battery icon, etc.) -bought a 2GB SanDisk microSD, it works nice -restarts? no more... well, i'm now a certified motomodder... if you want to modify your MOTORIZR Z3, and want to be one of us, then register at modmymoto.com and other sites AND, STUDY WELL! much more to say but, sometimes it's dangerous flashing your phone, just make sure you have all the important tools to mod your RIZR Z3...happy MOTOMODDING!!!

if anyone is interested in watching movies or clips on the Z3 heres a program i use and the settings are: 1. mp4 2. mpeg4 3. aac Direct show decode ON VIdeo: 240:176 / 4:3 / 25fps / bit rate 720 AUdio: 32000 (dont use 44000 or 48 cause it will not sync) / 2 / 128 have fun. i already put 3 south park episodes on the phone (on a micro SD flash card)

THE REAL TRUTHFUL REVIEW: i've had this phone 4 a couple of weeks now and in my opinion it's a pretty good phone. The battery life is very good and the camera/video camera is exceptional. it's a 2 mega pixel camera that takes very clear pictures. However the phone is a bit slow as is most other motorolas. the buttons are a bit stiff and have to get used to but after a couple of days u'll probably get used to them. One problem i found is that the clear button is very small and right under the send button so many times insted of erasing a messed up word i end up sending the message by mistake which is a pain for me and the person getting the message. I also find that sometimes i'm almost 5 words ahead of the phone when i'm texting. the phone catches up but i have to wait a couple of seconds. also the left and right soft keys are very sensitive. On the positive side the phone looks amazing and there's a very useful pertruding bar right under the screen which allows u to easily slide open the phone. All in all, if ur used to a slow motorola phone lke the razr then the slowness won't bother u and i think everyone can get used to the buttons so i do recommend the phone bec of it's great look, camera, and other minor features.

I am trying to sync music to my phone and despite being told that particular CDs are "already on device" -- they are NOT listed in my music player. Also, in the middle of syncing, it will just stop what it's doing, like I disconnected the cord even though I didn't even touch it. Is anyone else having problems with the music player?

way over paid for this phone!! the first week that i got it it camera jammed the whole screen went white, phone would ring yet i could not answer. called the customer care they said just take the battery off completely since they could not figure it out either!! i personally went back to the store instead the employee goes to the back room had to take my phone apart, yet claims that the phone is not defective!!! :( later silver select button came off ( i have to jam my finger in the area that the silver button used to be in...this black arrow designator slides of really sticky..i am really carefull with my phone so it is not due to wear & tear. my sister has the same phone with the same problems don't know if it was just a bad batch but that enough for me. would not recommend it at all!!!

Hey i really liked this phone for a while the only thing is i never got very good service with it never really had full bars any way one day this phone was in m back pocket and i guess i must of sat on it but the top of the screen about a quarter of the way down now skips every other pixel line and now the phone doesnt pick up any service at all it just keeps saying searching i dont know why a messed up screen would mess with the antenna but yah it stinks !!!

I had this phone for about half a year and its working fine. It has all the necessary applications and the music is nice. But the problem I have is, I dropped it one time, and on the side there is probably tiny opening causing dust to be inside the screen. There you can find programs which can allow you to change the font , icons e.tc or even the firmware on your phone�you have to understand how to use the programs first though�but its pretty simple..this can change the look of your phone�s software completely..tell me if they have anything on your rizr.

To Rissa, Yes, you can assign individual ringtones to individual callers in your phonebook, however you must copy the entry from your sim card to the phone memory. this also applies to picture ringing.

Motorola fan: A 2GB micro SD card works fine in the RIZR Z3. I have had no troubles with it at all. I use a PNY brand micro SD card. I just put it in, and it's been perfect. I've been putting much music, videos, and pictures on this phone, I have a lot of memory left over yet. Overall, this phone is the best phone I've ever purchased. I haven't been the biggest fan of Motorola, but Nokia has been letting me down lately, so I purchased this. You can't beat the price either. The only negative comment I really have on the phone, is that the speakerphone isn't of the greatest quality when playing videos or music at high volume. Also, their's no audio jack, so you have to use bluetooth. Good phone though.

I've had this phone since June 2007. It is a decent phone, very sturdy. The picture quality is great, the music player is OK, but the texting is horrible. It is not very reponsive, i would text something, and i would be done typing for like 10 secs. before it would show up on the screen. Also my sister has the same phone and it blacks out sometimes. My cousin had the same phone but had to return it twice because it kept blacking out on her! Also the navigation button on my phone is starting to peel off! It would be a great phone if the texting wasnt messed up. i think i need to send it to motorola before my warranty is over!

I'm currently using this model. It doesn't hv theme but you can change the theme in Skin.go to setting->personalise->Skin... for the clock display,Setting->personalise->home screen-> cluck. u can choose to display digital or analogue clock.i hope it helps.

There is a fix for the clock on the main menu. It's sort of a mod thing, google modmymotto. I had this phone for about 4-5months before i lost it. The picture quality is pretty good, and I like the idea of the flash being a flashlight; in a sense. The disappointment I came across though is the OS, which is sometimes buggy, slow and unresponsive. Sending SMS to multiple people lags your phone almost to death. The phone itself is built pretty sturdy, and it is a good enough phone for the price.

I have been a huge fan of Motorola. I have had t-mobile since, they were called that other name. Anyways, I suprised to see no clock on the home screen. I hate that I have to access my date book which is a hassle...yes, little things matter to me! Oh and the pictures suck! I mean I had a motorola v550 and oh let me tell you that phone had the BEST camera images ever! I would drive and see a pretty view...and click!! Took the picture as if I was still. I'm quite dissappointed about that since, I love to take pictures of stuff and everything around those stuff. And there are no preloaded games except for demos...that sucks! So other than, no clock, awful images, and no games...it's a good phone, really it is...I think they need to review their images on the camera and they'll see what I'm saying.

I got this phone in September '07, and I absolutely love it. I skimmed all the previous posts, and was surprised at the negative comments. Yes, the phone blacks out (very very rarely though), but it does not affect the quality of the phone/service itself. The person who said that the entire phone's quality was horrible is in my opinion, very wrong. He/she must've been from a rival company or something. The RIZR Z3 is by far the best phone I have owned. You only need to charge it once every 2-3 days, sometimes even a week! The camera is 2 megapixels (very good quality for a phone) and you can adjust the quality, color, brightness, etc. This phone is easy to use, and I recommend it for anyone who is interested. No, I am not a spokesperson for this company.

Just great! This is very good phone. I can tell only 1 negative... No 3G, but i think EDGE is enough for mobile. Camera is very good comparing to Nokia 6120 classic (also 2 MP). My wife has that Nokia and I was comparing taken photos between these 2 phones and Motorola takes much much better pictures than Nokia. Overall this is very easy to use. Music player is also very good. This phone has very good price/quality. I recommend this phone

When I saw this phone, I thought I'd take a break from Nokia and try Motorola. I did to my disadvantage. This phone reminds me of when PC introduced Windows ME. It shuts down in the middle of calls and also when not even in use. You get a white screen, then you have to wait for the Z3 to reboot. then when it does, you have to wait again for the service. I bought the Motorola Z3 in October and I changed the battery when these black outs first started. Then when it continued I changed the charger. Not knowing I was just wasting more money. Now I'm using my previous Nokia 6230 to recall folk when the Z3 decides to take its unscheduled maintainance break. And to be honest, now everytime I look at the Nokia, it looks as though its carrying a smurky grin, laughing its head off at my infedelity and subsequent poetic justice. And no guys, Nokia isn't paying me.

This phone is barely tollerable. I like the look and the features, but this is the second one I have had and the same problem exists with both of the phones. It fairly frequently shuts down, as though it is rebooting. It then must reload your phone book, etc, etc, etc. You slide it open and hear a small click/pop, then the phone screen goes blank, and starts its couple minute reboot. I use T-Mobile, and they don't want to help either. My opinion, one step away from junk.

When I got my Motorola RIZR Z3, I was happy that it has a USB Cable and will allow me to import MP3s, 3GP files, JPEG and Game files. The RIZRZ Z3 is so easy to use and with just a few navigations of the phone, you'll surely get to know the phone and will love it. In terms of picture quality, its 2 Megapixels, provides you with a 2% or less difference from a picture quality of a digital camera. I really like this unit because it has all the things that I need in a phone. If you're a music lover and would like to listen to FM stations, then, this is not the phone for you. Also the video is up to 2 hours and more, so you'll have fun with that one, too. I dunno what more I could say about this phone but I definitely love it.

to TWISM77 i had the same camera problem in my v1075 and also know of alot of other people with the same prob. in the v3.sent it 5 times to be fixed and they replaced it twice and i still had exactly the same faults in the 2 new ones.if you send it to be fixed they cant find any faults.it appears to be a motorola software screw-up and the vodafone people told me that it would be best to throw it away.i got the z3 and luckily i dont have that problem anymore.sorry dude but i dont think thats its fixable.you gotta keep changin phones till you get one that works.thats wat they told me.

Good looking phone, call quality is great. The bluetooth functions are horrible! Bluetooth range is 2 feet from the phone, the Motorola phone tools software crashed my Outlook while syncing the calendar. I have returned this phone for a Nokia which works perfect!

This phone WAS great originally. Now ive had two incidents where none of my numbers worked except the #6 ... which started the voice command... ?? and I woke up today and my screen is black. I got this phone the week it came out though so hopefully there have been some technical updates since.

I have 3 and currently I have two problems. One on one phone and one on another. Pictures are not saving on one. It used to, I believe. On the other from the start I could not add contacts in hot mail or aim. I like it rather much beyond that save the lack of a default full version game.

These were attached with some form of adhesive which is no good. That is my major problem.

I have had the Blue one for about a month and a half... asthetically, the phone is great- I took a gamble with Motorola, after having Samsung's for the past 6 years (R225, and T629), and I have to say, the build quality isn't quite the same, as my 'SEND' button quit working after about a month of having it. The camera on the phone is great, but coming from the fast processors of the Samsungs, the RIZR just can't keep up with my fingers while navigating through texts or menus. Without the chitzy b.s., this would be a great phone, but I guess we've come to expect this from Motorola- Thing i'm going to be purchasing a U600 Samsung next :>

I got this phone after an upgrade from T-mobile. This phone is fine for it's great Korean-type style, rugged Moto durability, and excellent call volume and reception. However, I personally don't like the tiny font menus, slow texting speed, and tinny sounding speaker. This is a fine phone for calling purposes but not ideal for texting, internet, or music. Nokia's 6133/6126 are pretty fantastic phones that excel at everything for a slightly cheaper price. The (blue) RIZR looks nice, but i'm probably going to Ebay mine.

I am not happy with this phone at all. It is extremely slow, even slower with instant messengers. The phone freezes nearly everytime i get a phone call and only wakes up when they put the phone down, then my phone says "1 missed call". The volume is very low. Not even the charger works properly. I put the phone on charge and it makes a funny sound. When i connect the phone to the computer on memory card mode, it restarts itself the whole time. I am never buying a motorola again!

I've had this phone for a few months now working under T-Mobile. The reception and call quality are below average, one of the worst I've ever had. However, for a 'fashion' phone, its very durable. I've dropped it a few times and it still works perfect, aside form a few scratches from said drops. No freezes yet! The camera works really well, and has amazing quality for 2MP. The sound quality is also great for music, through the speakers at least, and by cell phone standards. But the organization system is terrible, for all files, including music. To answer some questions.. -Yes, you can use Mp3's as ringtones. -The battery life is okay, for this type of phone. -No, the buttons don't 'peel out,' get dust in them, nor does the slider become loose in anyway. I don't use a case and it's in almost the same condition as when I purchased it. -No, it doesnt accept standard headphone jacks, you can buy an adapter for about $5. -No, the phone does not appear to support animated wallpapers. -The phone does not come with the necessary drivers to transfer files from your computer. You can download them for free at the motorola site. -This phone does not come with a radio included. Perhaps additional accessaries are needed, don't quote me.

i got my phone in july, i got the blue one from tmobile. i lovee the features and everything. besides that i HATE the phone. the paint is chipping off the numbers!! it froze on me like 10 times already. between the numbers get dirty, and its hard to clean. i love the design though.

mate...the review on this phone is not very spot-on.once again they've made a mistake.they say in the review that you cant listen to music and play a game at the same time.they're wrong.i can crank open the music then minimze it and then open and play a game listening to the mp3 with no problem.the only thing you cant do is adjust the volume once you start playin.its not the first mistake i've come across with this review.

hi, ive had this phone for a few months, its been great. all the features work well and the slider is great too. however the button in the center has come off and ive tried to stick it back on but then is doesnt click. The battery life is very very poor. only lasts about 2 days max and thats on a good day. great phone but does have some faults.

to yasir. get the l9 instead of this. i assume the l9 is louder than the rizr. bcas i had a l71 & it wasd by far the loudest phone ive ever had or seen. im assuming the l9 is the same as its the same construction. those have a speaker grid on the back. the rizr speaker has a plastic covering the speaker so its kinda muffled. it sounds very clear but just not loud enough (for me that is):) the rizr is stylish yes but whats the use if you cant hear it ringing say your in another room and its on its back. useless!!! one thing though the l9 has no flash!!!

Attention: Don't buy from e-buy-global.com ! It's strange that they got mobile phones 70% cheaper, e.g. 8600 Luna - $150. It's that odd, that it doesn't even cover production expenses... So, my advice: don't even write to them. They aren't really from Italy! Their host is somewhere in Israel! It might aswell be some kid playing around behind his PC, and getting his money off our backs. When I asked for their company's registration number, business rate, or something like that, the director replied to me they haven't got it for anybody. @ don gordon yup.have always used the sounds folder on all my motos.i reckon its better as it can be hidin and the DAP cant and i notice more volume.but thats just me though.now that i got the 2gb card the DAP doesnt open anyway but for me thats no great lose.i dont have any probs with listening to music and takin pics and txting.having multiple apps. like that is cool cos it can be a pain in the butt when you have to keep starting up the music everytime you do something.pretty handy.when you min. the music and the phone is shut the outter keypad locks so you cant jump songs or turn it off by accident which sometimes happened with my clam-shell phones so thats also handy.

to don gordon not sure on the itunes but if you tap itunes into the search bar at the bottom of this page yourll find all the itune comments.i had a look myself and some say yes and some say no.be cafeful wat you read on this site cos the gsm arena review says you cant listen to music and open other apps. like the camera.i dont know how these guys test phones but i can listen to mp3 and txt and even take a photo listening to music.cuts off with the vid cam obviouly for sound rec. purposes.ill try find out more bout the tunes and get back to you

i have this phone...it is really cool...on how to take good care of this phone. . .u need to use the slide guide in order the center button will not peel off..and also u must have a glass wipes for ur screen...when u slide it...don't slide it hard, up or down...to avoid tecnical issues... overall i love this phone..bcoz of its durable design and very pleasing camera features...best for a simple phone lyk this..

I got it a couple of days ago and it's my first slider phone. I admit I am a Motorola employee, but this is the first Motorola fun I really loved, I'm practically in love with it and every person who saw it is as excited as I am. They fixed some annoying problems with the software used in previous Motorola phones (I also have an iDEN phone). The camera is very nice, the screen is great, the panel and joystick are cofortable for my long fingers (I can text messages with one hand now) and the sound is most enjoyable. The buttons on the side are useful and the design in general is excellent (I especially like the drawings on the back that you can only see if you open the slider). What I don't like is: 1. When I'm writing SMS messages, since I'm using both Hebrew and English and sometimes I need to feed the spelling for words which are not in the dictionary, so I am forced to switch between English and feeding the Hebrew letters because there aren't enough options. 2. Unlocking the key pad when the slider is closed is a bit annoying (the buttons you need to push) and takes longer than other phones. 3. I was told that when I'm using the built-in speaker (I haven't purchased a bluetooth earpeace yet) the person I'm talking to can hear his/her voice. But I'm guessing I'll figure how to fix that in a day or two. To summarize, I like it a lot and I'm proud to work for the company that designed that particular phone.

to don gordon. yes you can min. the music but not with DAP.i just tried it now with the 1gb card.when the DAP is playin and you open and shut the phone the player is cut-off.if you want to min. the music you have to make play-lists in the sounds folder and then you can min. and do wat-ever else you want.txt,take a pic and stuff like that and still listen to music.if you get a 2gb mem. card you have to make play-lists cos the DAP only supports up to 300 songs and so wont open with the bigger memory.i have always prefered the sounds folder to the DAP and even notice that its slightly louder.hope this helps.later dude

Did any one of Z3 user here having the central button peeled out? The central button is indeed stick with gum n mine is already peeled out (human error). The phone design is excellent. maybe love at first sight phone. camera is excellent. But the phone is very slow in processing. Even phonebook access is too slow. Battery life is very poor. Overall a average phone considering the performance.

I've had this phone since about spring break. I love it, as i have loved all of my motorolas. The phone feels very high quality, it has good weight to it. One of the only things i dont like about it is that it does not have a glass screen. This is the first of the 4LTR series to not have a glass external screen as far as i know. I like to keep my phone in my front pocket so of course it got scratched within the first couple of weeks even with me being careful. It is not a deep scratch, just a surface one but still... I now keep a clear hard plastic cover on it that i bought on ebay and it works great. Doesnt look as cool as before but at least the screen is not getting scratched! I have not had a problem with the audio quality. Actually i think it is pretty good, at least as good as my iTunes SLVR on speaker. An issue that i have just come across in the last couple of days has to do with the software update that motorola offers. I updated the software even though i was a little reluctant to. This section of the website is kind of hard to find but i found it and did it. There is no list of what the update actually changes. From what i can tell all it changed was the layout of a few things, deleted my WAP and MMS setting (this sucked), made the softkeys no longer customizable, and added screen3 which was supposed to be on the phone out of the box but until the update was MIA. If these do not sound like good updates to you i would have to agree. I was excited about the screen3 bc that was a feature i was looking forward to with the purchase of the phone but like i said it didnt come on the phone originally even though it even says in the manual that it does. Long story short cingular/ATT does not support screen3. This is a technology that puts a news ticker at the bottom of the screen and constantly updates with news, sports, entertainment, and other info. The only way i can get the screen3 to work is if it is in german or something. That doesnt help me much bc i dont speak german. On top of that the phone system is much slower now, especially for the first day or so after the update. Basically this was a worthless update for american users, but then again i did dl it from the UK site. Im thinking about checking into removing the update. I thought i should add that the system is quite a bit faster than my old SLVR and my GFs RAZR and a friends V3i. Oh yeah, I saw someone asking about the colors. I have a black one. It has a blue keypad with the RAZR light blue backlight. The blue phone has a silver keypad and the red one has a black or grey keypad i think. Also, i have only seen the black and blue in person and i can say that the blue is not very cool. Its like a lighter blue color. I would have gotten the red bc im sure that one is the coolest looking one in person, but i didnt want to spend the extra like $50 that they cost on ebay. One more thing about the phone. Like all of the other current motorolas that i know about this phone has a miniUSB port for the charger/data connection. This is so convenient. It will charge on any RAZR charger, which are pretty easy to find at a friends house or where ever you are. You can also charge the phone with a regular USB to mini USB data cable and your computer. This is the cable that comes with the phone and most digi cams that i have seen use it connect to computers as well. It is easy to find at stores for cheap if you lose yours or forget it, unlike phone specific cords you have to buy from your carrier. This also simplifies what cords you have to take when going out of town or just taking your computer on the go. Using this kind of connection also makes it easy to use the phone as a flash drive, which I have done for school. The motorola system makes it easy to transfer data and ringtones from your computer. You dont have to have any of that crappy software that other phones make you use to connect to your phone. You just plug it in and your computer will see it as a drive with folders. This makes it especially easy to make your own ringtones (can be done in itunes) and just drop them straight into the phone. Oh yeah, the phone will hold like 500 total text messages before forcing a cleanup, quite a few more than the 100 or so my cingular locked slvr would hold. The phone will let you take video for an hour, my SLVR would do like 30 seconds. Hope this helps. I would def recommend this phone to anyone. Email me if you have any questions about the phone.

forgot to mention bout the memory card.manual says only supports 1gb card.yes and no.with the 2gb card the audio player doesnt work cos the player only supports 300 songs and so wont open.in the sounds file you need to make at least 2 or more play-lists cos the software only supports around 250 songs per list in this file so you cant listen to all at once.only probs ive had but no big deal really.i imagine its the same on al z3s'.with moto head phoes theres good sound quality but with cheaper brands theres a huge difference.there crap.stick to the motos

I've finally got it and trust me I'm not disappointed. What a cool phone. The slider is so smooth, metal exterior gives it a rugged, strong feel while managing to look great, and the display and camera are excellent. I would recommend this phone to everyone without much hesittation. I need to find a protective case for it though as I love it too much for it to get scratched.

Motorola has updated the systems dramatically and they are now great! this phone is fantastic with the expandable memory, which gives me the chance to take more pictures and videos and store loads more songs than usual! It is no good as a music managing phone, unless you use the java music player provided. It is more focused on photos. It does support animated wallpapers but to do so you need to mod it a bit. I have modified the skins (put new ones on, done a bit of menu editing and so on) and now I really love it. I also installed opera mini as the built in browser is silly. Obviously modding voids the warranty. But who cares, I'll be getting a z6 or v8 as soon as they arrive in South Africa.

ive had this phone for about 3 months and it's great, never let me down and i cant get over the inbuilt flash (also works good as a light) this is a lot better in value and quality than the v3 (only 5mb storage whilst this has expandable, which i highly recommend u getting if ur buying a new phone). The bluetooth was a little annoying in the beginning because b4 i had a sony ericsson which had good bluetooth but other features a bit... buh. anyway, about a 9/10 overall and if ur buying one then u may want a case because like all slide phones its screen will get a few scratches

I bought this phone 5 days ago and so far it's great. The display is great even when you're in the midday sun but i'm having a problem with the videos. It records videos for as long as you have the memory. But i have some videos on media player on my computer and it saves to my memory card but it doesn't show up on my phone. I 'm guessing it's in the wrong format, but how can I convert it to 3GP???? That's the format of the standard video on the phone. HELP!!!! ASAP

I am using this phone for 1 months now and its a pretty handy one.The feature that attracted me most to buy this phone was its video recording capability,this phone is able to record video at 352x288@15 fps (not all z3's bt my one does) it possible record as long as you have sufficient space.The camera I must state is not that great as the k750i but undoubtedly better than the nokia 5300.The loudspeaker is pretty good,the display quality of this phone is very good I was pretty much impressed when I first saw the images appearing on my phone were a lot better than those of k750i's. The media player is good but not the best as it has no equalizer its a little distressing but its not SE is it?The earphone provided by Motorola is outstanding and a little bit of bass reflex is integrated in it. I have to charge the phone every 3 days and i am very much satisfied with it (at least its a lot better than nokia 5300). The camera used in this phone offers the same quality as the motorola v3x and the LED flash is quite useful.I still think the camera could have been better because photos taken with it appears a little dark so I am not totally satisfied with the still camera. Video playback at upto 30 fps is feasibile. Contemplating both the good sides and bad sides this phone keeps me pleased:D

its a very nice phone! but the problem is I broke the screen and I ordered a new housing for it screen and everything but it didnt have any instructions on how to install the new housing! The time it allows you to tape a video is longer than 40 secs. Of course it depends on how much extra memory you buy. i bought a 2 gig and it allows me to get up to 4 minutes

THis phone overall is quite good, had this for three months now. however there are several problems, first is the sms function. The "clear" function is located directly below the send button, and they are very close together, so if your not careful or just too fast, u mght send the uncompleted msg to your fren when ur actually trying to clear the last letter typed. however, as you type more often, you will get used to the button space, so less mistakes will be committed over time. second, the camera does not have a very good auto focus. Thus the photo tend to be a bit of a unclear sometimes, but as this is not a cyber-shot phone, its still considered quite good for a norm phone. The good function about this phone is that the sliding is very smooth, compared to other first-slider made by other brands. The look is very stylish. Overall, this phone is a good phone to get, it looks very nice, if your going for a slider phone

But yesterday I just installed a Toshiba 1 GB micro SD card, thats it.. now Im unable to receive any calls and whenever I got a call the phone gets hung on having the card onboard. I have this phone for about 3-4 weeks and I found this is a very good phone. Just couple things: clock and shortcuts are not displayed on the desktop. I've heared that possible to download update, but I've also heared that this update fixes that problems and creates a few new. May be some one knows if the good new update exists? Thanks

It is overall a nice phone. It sure does not have the cool features of the SE or Nokia phones but for a basic user who do not need all the fancy extras than this phone is for you. It offers a good basic camera, MP3 playback/ring tone, nice design over all. I also dislike people who trash phones who do not have all the functions of the SE or Nokia phones. If you wanted those features, why dont you just get a SE or Nokia phone? Why do you expect to find a phone at a lower price point to have all the stuff a phone more expensive has? You do pay for what you get. This phone might not have all those things but it does offer its own pluses.

@ j@md and evrybdy else.... its very simple.... install a limewire basic on your comp.... download the song which u want.... then plug the cable to ur comp and den go to the removable disk folder for your phone....and exchange stuff!!!! and yeah, hope u install the drivers for the phone from the cd provided....and talkin abt clock issues..... i've ben using this phone for around 3 weeks, i also did a software update, and i find absolut6ely no prob!!!! dunoo y ppl try messin around with their phones... all in all, when all's said and done, personally i feel its the best phone in the market wen it comes to looks, and the only prob was dat it aint symbian or anythin....but considering the performance of RIZR, it makes absolutely no diff...... the best phone in it's class, all it should've had was an autofocus!!! anyways all, this phone is a babe, but i dont recommend it to evrybody, but only for people who wanna be a cut above the rest in terms of looks!!!!like me!!!!

The phone was working fine, but I tried to do a software update on it so I can get the clock problem fixed, but after I attempted the software upgrade, its having way too much problems, speaker phone doesnt work sometimes, othertimes phone does not charge, and the screen does not work at times. hi ppl, i just bought this phone for my mom today, its really cute, the materials are really good, thats a plus from motorola, the surface feels like velvet, its really nice to touch, like peach. It feels very solid, yet light at weight, it has almost the same dimensions of moto K1. The picture is very sharp, but not that big, i think its ok as it helps to keep the small proportions of the phone. Oh yeah, i like the keypad design, looks really cool, the navigation pad feels good, although it take a little bit of time to get used to it when u use a joystick from other phones. I think the advantage this Z3 has over d900 is that u can use the camera without needing to open the phone. The flash is really bright, of course it doesnt compare to xenon ones, but u can use it as a torch and it does a good job when taking pics and shooting videos. The box contents are the phone, charger, headphones, usb cable, 128 mb micro sd, carrying pouch. About the quality of the sound, i think its really good, the sound is very clear, but i doesnt beat the sound of walkman phones, besides the bundled headphones deliver a a good level of sound. Oh yeah they are very loud, so dont hurt your ears ok. The media player is ok but not excellent, its a shame there is no radio. About the user interface, I really love Sony Ericsson phones. Moto's UI is not bad, but is basic and a little slow, once u get used to that there is no problem anymore. I think thats the price for being cute, what the hell. All in all, its a very solid phone, I recommend it, and I dislike Motos.

hi guys, i just bought this phone.. and i must say i totally love it. i admit i usually look at very expensive phones, but with this one it was love at first sight.. i bought it on the spot and i am happy i did. the camera is very good, and the sound is great. and yes, you can listen to a song and send a message at the same time. You just have to close the flip, and then the display image of the song disappears, and you can enter your menu. simple as that. :)

The only thing I don't like about this phone is the fact that my battery runs out after less than two days. Having said that, it could be my fault as I should have let the phone charge for 12hours before I used it for the first time.

I got this phone for almost 3 days now and i can say that it's worth my money. nice looks plus a 128 memory card. However, after I updated my software some features of the phone were lost. I can't edit the taken photos and the original game was have been changed as well. If clock issue is nothing for you i recommend not to do software update because previous software is much better. For the battery it function very well... long usage for me. Maybe it depends on how you use it. for some who has issue on this, maybe the retailer gave a fake battery that's why it's easily drained. I recommend this phone to all fashionista out there! :)

in response to the user "altie" about it only recognising our voice 10-15% of the time. i have a pebl which has the same voice activating system thing. when you start the voice command thing make sure you wait for the little picture of a microphone to appear at the top of the screen before you start speaking or else the phone only hears the last bit of your command and doesnt recognise what you are saying.

It's nice phone but the problem I'm having is it can not connect and work with the Motorola Phone Tool. I have the lastest update but it just won't work. It get connected but when sysn the phonebook or upload pictures/ring tone... just get an time out error. I read thru few other comments and people are experience the same issue. I have one thing that i forgot and i need help with it lol when i put my usb in it works n w/e i have music n pics into the pictures and audio files in the right files ok n they all work fine but with videos i put like 7 videos in the file and they show that their there then i go into my phone and into videos and their not there??!!! i went all over my phone to see iff they went somewhere else and there not so i went back into usb and into video file n said that they are there and i went back into my hpone and they went there so wth?

Hey.... I just ordered this phone off the net... I had a v635 before and I wasn't too satisfied since 2 years of use its pretty much fucked with the battery constantly dying and the phone blanking out... hopefully this one performs a bit better. I was gonna give Samsung a try, but the nice models are out of my price range.... In any case, I feel like an idiot for not being patient for the Rizr Z6. So I just recently updated the rizr z3 through the motorola site and i've been having problems. Although I got the time and date showing, im still having problems?! After updating ive lost other files (such as: games, wall papers, etc.), the phone itself lags like crazy. What in the world am i to do to get it to its normal state??!?! Well I just aquired this device and it offers much more than what I expected. All features work perfectly (I haven't tested bluetooth yet), battery life seems quite long while using GPRS for hours, with EDGE that makes browsing the web much faster and downloads completed almost instantly, video resolution for recording and playback up to 320x240, and so on. The landscape-format camera and picture browser is quite interesting. The phone actually has 20 MB internal memory, not 16. It supports up to 2GB miniSD according to the manual. The phone is recognized as a standard removable storage instantly by Windows, and data copying is fast as well with the USB 2.0 connection. It has 5 or 6 skins, the back one looks specially cool on my model which is black as well. If you are not sure about this phone, I can assure this: you won't regret aquiring it at all. It seems to have more to offer than the eye can see.

Hi to all Z3 users, i am currently using a V3 and find that the sms is super lagging, is it the same for the Z3? I dun type very fast but for the V3, i can type an entire sentence then you see the text appearing char by char. only then to realise that some words are wrong and you have to scroll back to delete the entire word and type again...is it this way for the Z3? Got this phone about a month ago. I'm quite impressed with it. Photos are good, music quality through loudspeaker also good. What makes the phone good is all the little extras that i keep on discovering every day (not the manual reading type)The only thing that i dislike is that the phone is a bit slow, and keeping it clean is a pointless effort. Battery life could also have been better, but not the worst Ive had. Does anyone know how to assign a different msg tone and ringtone to a caller?

I love this phone. I've stuck with Nokias usually, with the odd foray into Samsungs, but have to say this looks better, feels better and is a doddle to text with. My only gripe is the battery life, which is one tenth of that advertised! I only use the phone for talk about 20mins a day and probably 10 - 20 texts but the battery only lasts two days max. Does anyone have any ideas as to why there is such a huge discrepancy? Or where I can get an appropriate battery with improved life?

Got this phone as a second phone to my Windows Mobile device (HTC Excalibur). I wanted a phone that was better for talking and smaller. It seems to meet that criteria. I'm impressed with the quality of the device and its look and feel. Very convenient to use and fits nicely in the pocket. I was surprised that I could sync my Outlook contacts so easily and wirelessly. Worked the first time. I have not synced the calendar and probably will not since I continue to use the Excalibur for that kind of thing. I would call this a decent phone and a bit slow. The camera seems decent. Just more of a fun phone. I haven't been able to sync with my hotmail or yahoo mail. If anyone can help with that, let me know.

Well... it could have been better, the showing time in the main screen problem and the low batery life, are serious issues. The last one, it`s even worst when you use the digital audio player. Does anybody knows how to turn off the screen`s light when that application is runing?

yes you can do anyting that doesnt require entering numbers when the phone is still closed. it has T9 but i cant tell you how to use it cuz i never use T9 on any of my phones i can never figure that thing out. and finally if you have big fat fingers, yes using the buttons might be hard cuz they r really close together but it works fine for me. only problem i have with this phone is with T-mobile..network just literally makes me sick. alwyz getting lost when i need to send a text then coming back when i put it back down. good phone overall.. hope i answered ur ??

i had my rizr z3 for a week now, and i can say it's a bang for your buck. the interface is average and slow at times, but the built quality is nice. the camera is decent enough but the battery life is poor. and when i had the software updates from its site, it's not really worth it. it has gone haywire before it installed the update. i can say for an average-priced cellphone, the z3 is nice to have.

Regarding the Keylock for the Motorola RIZR Z3. Currently owning this handset I can tell you that you can set the keylock to come on autoumaticall after a set time. You have the choice of 2,4 or 8 seconds so once you slide the handset shut it will lock all keys within this time limit. Unlocking the handset can be done by sliding it back open or by pressing the left soft kyey followed by the right softkey while the handset is closed. You can also manually lock the keypad by pressing and holding * and then unlocking it as explained above. Hope this clarified it for all of you. - Jammy

dear all: i finally got a chance to play with this phone today, long enough to write up a few pointers to people considering this phone. I must admit when i first found out about this phone i was hyped, i thought it was amazing from all the features i read about. before this phone, i had wanted the nokia 5300. When i actually compared them though, i realized that in the long run, the nokia 5300 would end up pleasing me A LOT more. heres why: 1) Although the rizr has a beautiful design and firm slide, the nokia is also very nice too, its a little bigger but its different and stands out. A lot of people have been complaining about the cheap material the nokia is made out of, and that the slider isnt firm, but honestly its completely fine. the slider wiggles around very little when closed, but when I tested out the rizr and the t629, they both shook around just as much. The nokia feels good in your hands, and the material is absoultely fine. 2)sound quality: holy crap, the nokia blew me away when i heard the sound quality of ringtones and the quality of the sound when playing recorded videos. The rizr was measly and poor quality compared to the nokia, almost half as lound and clear. I was a little dissapointed with the rizr when i heard this, but oh well. 3) camera, ok i know it says 2 megapixel, but on the phone it makes no difference. seriously, the nokia 5300 is 1.3 mp and it was actually way better than the rizr due to its qvga screen. the only thing about camera on the rizr that beat the nokia is the fact that it had a flash, that was really nice, but still with all the advantages the nokia has over the rizr i dont think it matters anyways. 4) UI: the ui on the rizr compared to the nokia is sluggish and slow. the nokia is extremely user friendly and it is more responsive and tactile. i guess i could talk about the text messaging in this category. the rizr's texting uses the traditional motorola system, iTAP, which really sucks. seriously i kno people say that you get used to it, but i had a motorola for 1 year and a half and i never got as good as texting as i did on my previous samsung. the nokia's texting is almost the same as samsung maybe even better, but its definetly better than the rizr or any motorola in general. yeah so thats basically it, just wanted to tell ya'll about some of the things i noticed. i guess this comment is basically telling you guys that if you're looking for a slider phone and ur with tmobile, get the nokia 5300 over the rizr. i kno at first glance the rizr seems a little more slick, but in realilty the nokia is way more practical and easy to use. oh yeah and its really personalizable so u'll have fun with that. aite people, good luck with ur phones.

It comes with an auto keypad lock feature. So its pretty safe to say there wont be any accidental triggering of buttons.

Download the Latest RSD lite from here and i hope you have installed the drivers already. if not they are included in the package too. so install the files you need. attach the phone and update it with the above file (s). lemme know if there are any problems.

Just purchased yesterday. Worked fine when i got it home. Placed on home charger and now it will not turn on. Removed battery to no avail. If you wiggle the charger you get a momentary screen (millisecond) Plugged in through the USB port and it only shows a green charge light. Frusterated JUNK!

I also find the phone pretty choppy in terms of navigating through menus. It seems to freeze up a little. Any fixes for that? Overall I'm not impressed with this phone at all. Just brought the RIZR back to the US and it works great. How do I load music into it though? I connect to my PC via USB and RIZR beeps and knows it is connected but I am unable to "see" it on the PC. Do I need interface SW?

I tried it personnaly and with the stereo head set or even with the stereo bouetooth head set it gives a cristal clear music and of couse its really really good. When I had the Z3 in my hand for the first time I was really happy cause it is such a stylish phone. Crafted with anodized aluminium and wrapped with skin feeling material which makes a very good grip. Will not slip from the hand like the other plastic housings. By going through the revies I found couple of questions from couple of peoples. Thous I tried to send them mails it didn't work out. Here are some answers for some highlighted questions. 1). How to Sync with Computer......... You have to use the MPT tools (Mobile Phone Tools) Software sync with the computer. Hopefully you can get this downloaded from the Motorola web site. (a)This support you to back up your phone numbers to the computer for later restorations in case you loose the data. (b) You can down load all the pictures you took from the phone to computer. (c) You can access web and the phone we act as a modem. (d) You can do lot more things these are just highlighted ones. (2).Regarding the Phone Driver for Windows XP You have to Install the MPT tools software and it will install all the necessory drivers for windows XP (3). No Chinese Language in the phone. Probably you must have pick up the different software version which doesn't have the Chinese Language. You have to take the phone to a Authorized Service Dealer and tthey will flash the phone which support the Chinese Language. (4)Answer for Chriso's question Nokia holds only 160 as you said. But Motorola can handled lot more than that. What you have to do is Install MPT Tools software in your computer and keep Sync with the phone and the computer. Just got my z3 and started to learn about it. I have noticed the pic I took is kind of blurred no matter how steady my hand is. I even set the phone on a table for auto-timed capture (as to minimize hand movement). However it still comes out a little blur. Do other owners have the same problem? Any way to fix it?

For information, "Motorola Rizr Z3" can receive or call without open the slider. Without open the slider; you can open the menu, can use music player, can use camera, can use video camera, can use for open SMS to read, can use for connect to bluetooth, and etc like when you open the slider. I love the feel of a slide - mine is blue brushed metal vs the black or red, but cant get it tweeked just right for cingular WAP yet. I will work at it - guess I should copy mu husband's RAZR but its always with him I tried to copy my samsung line for line but it just baffles me- I am a novice & shop purely for looks, then feature & to impress friends that only wait/shop for available upgrade offers. Of course cingular does not offer exact model support so it will take time hit or miss -- I can call,send & record mp3 so its all I want for now! Samsung offers larger font -unlike my RIZR Blue motorola - Motorolas dont offer font size at all. My RIZR is slender & uses USB plug for recharge; rather convenient at work--- & all the rage with my crew of 24 att techs that I supervise - they think I am spoiled - they are right!

But I must mention some advises: 1- Before you want to install your phone using its deriver, you must setup Motorola phone tools that you can find with any Motorola cell phone (expect this model). I used V3X CD. Also you can buy Z3 CD online. Just setup this CD, you don�t need to use its software! Only use the software on the mentioned link. 2- If you can�t fix your phone, try on different computer. If you computer infected it can not transfer the fixation data to your phone. 2- Don�t worry if your window is pirated!

motorola z3 is the best phone so far even my friends like it. they were thinking to change there phone just like mine. you dont have to buy a ringtone, just download all the music u want then u can apply as a ringtone. u can put 2g of memory card atleast 600songs or maybe more. most of the phone can manage only 30sec to 1minute of video, but this phone up to 1hour straight.beleive me its freakin nice, but all phone have problems, FIRST its the freakin CLOCK it wont show in the screen. it pissed me off cuz i dont carry a watch with me. SECOND finger print, once u touch it it stay so u have to carry an eyeglass cleaner its the best thing to do or get a clear cover its none stick. u can find it on ebay just $7 to $11. I GUARENTEE YOU THIS PHONE IS VERY NICE...so far i have no mechnical problem or whatsoever....just a freakin CLOCK.IF SOMEONE know how to fix this problem plssss let me know..

With regards to the clock problem, a simple software update from Motorola's website will do. All you need to do is connect, check and update... it took me around 20 minutes to complete the entire process. My phone is working splendidly.

both are similar the KRZR and the RIZR, except that one is flip other is slidder and the material of the finish is different, the KRZR has plactic,shinny coating like the RAZOR. RIZR in the other hand is RUBBERISH giving you the confident that it wont be able to slip from ur hand. I just recieved my z3 today. I upgraded from the v3i. Planning to get the cingular 8525 but still to expensive. I love the design that is the only reason why i buy motorola phones. I dont really care about specs, just about looks. You just need a phone to make calls anyways right? The phone fits great in your hands, the outside is made of this rubbery stuff that wouldnt slide out of your hands so easy. The weight is not so bad, it gives you more of a comfortable feel holding a heavier phone. Only thing i dislike is the interface is still the same old motorola. Wish speaker was alittle louder. Also wish the memory slot was on the outside of the phone so it would be easy access instead behind the cover. I would give this phone a 8/10.

don't forget the RIZR Z6 manages to upgrade the screen resolution to QVGA grade while simultaneously improving battery life. because of the linux UI motorola only needs one processor so it uses up less power. it's also generally more stable. also got the more stylish glass front application of the KRZR. here's a video of it in action got some pictures at the bottom of the page, too. i really wish moto could've releaseD this first instead. it sucks that those of you who have RIZR Z3 may regret your decision. even still, there is yet more RIZR to come with the HSDPA RIZR Z8 being announced at 3GSM:

the main and major difference between the motorizr z3 and motorizr z6 is that z6 has an os like the ones in nokia wich hav s60 user os. the z3 has no os.hence z6 is a better bet for ur money.phones having an os support multitasking are more stable, and have a wider range of installable applications.

Had the phone for a week. Here is my mini review... It is a very good phone. It looks great and it feels solid and high quality. I really like the slider mechanism. The software is NOT for everyone, it can seem illogical, but I had a motorola before and I am used to it. Battery life is very good so far The screen is VERY bright, It is brighter than my friends Sony Ericsson K800! But I wish it was a bit bigger... The camera is average at best, I was dissapointed with the picture quality considering it is a 2 megapixel camera. Full screen mode for vixdeo and pictures is cool. Video itself is OK. Sound quality is excellent, so is the sound quality of the headphones. Sure, the graphics are not as colorful as some other phones, and it doesn't have advanced features, but if you dont need that, this phone is perfect, looks great, feels solid, and does everything it is supposed to do very well, but as I have stated it does have its flaws and there is room for improvement. Overall I give it 8/10

I've never been into Motorola phones despite the ads and "hellomoto" thingy... However, i'm impressed with this particular one, and actually bought it today! The beauty and physical aspect of it is impressive. I've heard so many complaints about the sluggish software and all, albeit all that, i've used nokia (bored with it), samsung (messaging is not going anywhere) and sony (love it)... I must say this phone is superb! With the headphones the quality of the mp3s i played was cool... superb bass, clear crisp tone... Wow! And i thought only Sony has no competitor... Beside my current O2 atom, this is my latest plaything... Goodluck guys!

the major difference is that the z6 has a much better keypad which is worth waiting for also, it is more of a music player scince the music key is on the front (see picture). also, the camera is a bit better and so is the quality.

I love this phone but for some reason my battery dont last that long! I am curious if the New Rizr Z6 battery will fit the Rizr Z3 model. If it does, I am planning to upgrade my batter to a Rizr Z6 battery because the Rizr Z6 last longer than the Rizr Z3 battery. I think this is great phone with some limitations, menu wise. For example, there is no permanent delivery report for SMS/MMS, when the screen goes dark there is no clock, and no indications on missed calls or received SMS. Small things but annoying. Otherwise great. Sure, there are better phones (even for less money) but I like this one. It is matter of taste. P.S. Slider does make a sound when you open a phone, you just have to enable it in the menu

Saw this fone at a Motorola store at SM North Cyberzone, it really looks nice, and the texture of the fone is different from the others.. its like a rubbery-smooth feeling.. kinky in a way he he he.. pero its a nice fone, the camera is fine and clear 2MP, pero when i was about to play the tones, it was searching first for a bluetooth headset or something, dont know if it has speakers or what, i didn't tingle too much on the fone.. im not sure..

@ Moto 2 Little They look similar coz of Samsung's marketing strategy. They offer similar looking models for everyones budget and No they are not a rush to be the number 1 or 2. Le Fleur is exclusive for girls, sounds pretty much same with Nokia's brand. Does moto has anything for girls? I'm sure they will name it KITI or KATZ. Lol From when Ultra became copy of Razr? Ultra is a series of thin phones, not just a slim calmshell my dear. Blackjack is copy of Moto Q? Look at the keypad of your Moto Q..its straight from Blackberry. Forgot to say, be careful when opening the slider as it is easy to catch your 'up' shortcut, thus opening whatever you have assigned to it. On that note, the raised portion when open feels insecure. iTap is more straightforward but the screen is no longer lined and looks cheap. When taking a picture the stored image is not the first in the folder when you open it. They seem to be saved in a ad-hoc manner, resulting in a lengthy scroll though to find it. I transferred a pic via blutooth and it is always the first in the list irrespective of how many pics I have taken since. Why they have not installed a grid thumbnail option to view pics is beyond me. The picture jumps after you have snapped therefore needing you to hold still for a second after clicking. The 'flash' is actually a light, albeit bright. It is not an auto foucs camera. Surprisingly, mine came with stereo a headset unlike the V3i but don't plan on using it as the ear phones do not stay in well. The USB connector for the charger / headset now has a little protector over it. Making it fiddly to insert and I am sure that it will break off in time. I am surprised that people feel this is a top phone. In using the phone, it feels like a few years back when color phones were introduced. I'll keep you posted and will definately let you know if it grows on me. Don't hold your breath.

I have seen comments advising people not to buy the RIZR. As a totally loyal fan of Moto phones, and not affiliated in any way to a mobile company. I would strongly advise people not to get this phone. Having had a V3i for the past year, I eagerly awaited my chance to upgrade. I got the RIZR yesterday and it is naff. The ring tones are cheap sounding and some don't even sound like they were cut off before the tune has ended. The camera quality is poor for a 2mp. The menu system has been 'enhanced' but is more cartoon like and not as straightforward as previously. The graphics are not as good as the v3i. Eg, the sending text message graphics look cheap and amateurish. The lack of a clock when the screen times out has already been mentioned so I won't go there. The slider is supposed to make a sound when opened and closed and it doesn't. When the RIZR is open, the top portion feels loose. On the plus side, you can now view movies and pics full screen. But with a smaller screen the the v3i so it should. It's early days at the moment but not love at first sight like my V3i (which I feel will be my main phone again very soon) 3/10 motorola!

Blah I think you're wrong about the Ultra Edition of Samsung copying the RAZR series. Ultra Edition have similar features but they keep rising. On the other hand RAZR is RAZR. Lol, there's really not much to it. The Ultra Edition is in it's own league. IMO, The thinner isn't always the better. Both should concentrate on a constate 15mm width phone because they can do much with 12.9 or 6.9mm, but imagine a slim 15mm, probably able to fit the K800i camera in there.

I had a motorola razr and almost my whole family uses Motorola. I have to say..I do like the phones in South Korea. They are just more ALIVE..sharp...looks great...the clarity on the display is amazing. The U.S is good at marketing their own stuff and so poilitcal in what they bring in because of these western greedy companies. I have to give it to Samsung. Their phones are just more fun and user friendly. It is really what I call a smart phone. Europe has so much more options to choose from because there is less politics. My sister will be trying out a samsung as well this year. After 6 years of motorola.

Obviously...you have no education about the industry. Just a quick glance..... .... then motorola must of copied samsung..because south korea was the first to come out with the color display. The east don't brag and post up every successful thing they do. It is just part of their humble nature. So many ideas have been taken and the west always wants to take credit for it. Their are so many models too choose from. If they copied...they don't care..they will admit it but they just go about perfecting their phones. America is the biggest copy cat of all. Look around you. Cell phones already in South Korea have high pixel cameras already, Tv capability, Radio...the specs for the DATA is loaded. Providing awesome Networks that will be much faster. They also use their phones to shop and travel since their credit cards and train passes is used with their cell phone.

Specs look good. I like that Motorola's going for a differt look. I mean, I have yet to see a Motorola slider, so I'm impressed. Red color? OOOOOO. BUT, sadly, I'm disappointed that Motorola is still sticking to it's RAZR blueprint. The shape is still the same, with the hideous lip, IMO, with the same keypad. ^_^;; Sorry, it's getting old. But that's just my opinion. Plus, it's kind of heavy, but it's probably the material of the phone, anyway. I was never really a RAZR fan, though. :P Question: Is the battery life really that long?

I just bought the Moto Z3, it's gave me totally different impression on the outlook and the features. It has been improved lots on the features and one of the wonderful thing is, the package included 256mb memeory card, with that kind of price, I think is worth it.

I have RIZR for about 10 days now and I think it is great. Before it I had some Samsung models (not the latest ones) and Nokia. I must say some things in Motorola software are solved more elegantly than in Nokia and some things are needlessly complicated. In short, I am very please with the phone so far, it is fast enough, nice screen, fine camera. I lost my manual during trip to the coast so could someone please email it to me or direct me to the link to download it. Thank you!

WORST 2 MP CAMERA. noisy picture. bad video recording, sorta like pixelated. bluetooth only compatible with motorola. weak battery. exceptionally GOOD KEYPAD. and thats it. rather go for 6280/6288. Hi Peeps, Overall this set is ok.Camera 2mp..i think moto can do better with it.User friendly & light.Battery last 3dys wth minimal usage.Sadly this set is like the E1000..why i say so.Well ITS A DUST TRAPPER!!Within 2dys of i can see dust happily settling in the bottom corner of the display though i put the phone in a well covered pouch.Motorola needs to improvise to prevent dust getting in so easily & also the top part of the set seems a bit loose.Rating 7/10.I would have gave 10/10 if the camera is as gd as s.e 2mpx & if its not a dust trapper!!

ok first of all to the person telling people NOT to buy the phone..PLZ shutp...im sorry but, ive had the phone for a month now, compared to the SE w810 the features are almost identical, maybe a few diffs here n there, but the phone is a delight to use...if u dont have a proper opinion to post, and dont have the facts to back up your opinion, then please dont post false facts...the camera is NOT shaky, if ANYONE want i can post pics to prove it. The camera is JUST as good as the w810's if not BETTER since it captures pictures nicely even without autofocus.... other than that, the reception for the phone is very nice, as all motorolas. The design should get a perfect 10, as the phone has a perfect shell, as well as a perfect functional feel. The menu icons are compeltely different as compared to before, but the UI is basically the same. The phone has a BRIGTHER screen than MANY ericsson phones out there, such as the w810, k750, k800, and more, and if u want proof ask for pics for that too.. tbe phone has a GREAT speaker for ringtones, even though the mp3 player interface could be better, the phone isnt specifically made for mp3's so i cant complain. all options, features, and looks are WELL balanced...and the phone is a pleasure to use, and is a head turner as well

I just got this phone and I have to admit it is truly amazing. Regarding some of your doubts, it does have a big memory for messages (I've heard about 300in/300out), plus 18+ mb of internal (mine at least had that) you can do almost everything with it closed wich is very practical, you can recieve/reject calls, play games, access menus and stuff. Newer software versions don't have any bugs, mine had clock and icons already working, plus Obeymoto. On the outside it is outstanding, so if you're a stylish junkie, this is for you, sure samsung one might have a tad more functions and the 3megapixel stuff but held in hand it feels like a plastic cheap toy, meanwhile this feels like a solid, yet thin phone with superb materials and perfect looks. It is deffinitely an eye-catching phone. The camera on this one is very good, it feels like you're holding a digicam, and the trick is to hold the phone after taking the pic for about 1 sec, so no blurry photo (in fact there is an auto-focus like integrated) Regarding mp3 it is ok, though it lacks a specialized program (DAP just doesn't cut it being a java) but if you're a shuffle lover like me, you won't have a single complain. Design, comfortability and Features, this phone has it all.

Had this phone for just over a week now. Sure does make a nice change from Motorola's existing line of Razr inspired clamshells. However, the build quality is not as good as I'd have hoped. The slider is wobbly, and gives a rather unsure feeling when using the navigation keys. The flash though does make a nice change and comes in handy when taking pics in low light. I have been using Motorola for as far as I can remember, and this handset makes a good substitute to my existing Krzr. Cheers!

Now I just ordered the phone and I gotta tell you, in real it looks much better than on the photos, the bluish isn't that harsh and very subtle it's sooo cool looking in real, the pics here are a bit off, so by design it gets a 9from me from it's generation of phones, also i'd like to mention that i had something against slidephones, i didn't use lg and samsung because of this fact for a long time, but this phone changed my mind. it just feels good to slide with it! :)

I have this phone and it is a great little bugger. Small slim slider that has class. The UI is just like my wifes K1.(cant wait for the Linux-Java) And the clock issue is not an issue. When the phone goes to idel the time is not displayed. This is normal. I guess SE users are used to this feature. From what I read the L6 dosent have this either. Might be a good idea Moto to get this in there. Other than that I love this phone. Never really a fan of Samsung, dont like the all black plastic.

Well i've had this phone for about 3 hours now, and it wasn't until I was surfing the reviews that i realized there is no time or icons displayed on the phone. Anyone hear of a solution yet. Otherwise I like the slider function and how small it is.

I have only had this phone for a few hours now but when i intially opened it realized this phone is small.. i have had the Samsung D807 and the rizr is maybe half the size... it has a real nice feel to it... the camera is awesome... i have always used motorola and i am not disappointed with this phone at all... way to go motorola... hopefully cingular will get the idea and take this phone onto their lineup... i would love to be able to sell it

it couldnt be that bad that you had to clear your inbox and outbox twice a day... my old old old old samsung had less that 1mb of internal memory, and i could still fit a lot of messages on it.

Seems like you people out there with phones that don't display the time have got a bug in the software. I have had no problems with mine so far(which came unlocked with the stock Motorola software so has not been tampered with by any service provider). It is not possible for me to remove the clock using the menu, only switching it between analogue or digital is possible. My software version is R452B_G_08.01.02R. There is a Software update option in the Phone Status menu but when I choose this it tells me I already have the latest version. Hope this info helps some of you out there. As I've said before, dont put up with it, send it back and get a replacement from a non faulty batch (you now have a version number of software from a phone that does not have this problem)

is the message memory shared? cuz i have the v3i and i am seriously looking into getting this phone but one prob i had with the v3i is that i had to erase all my inbox and outbox about twice a day. i know the nokia phones use shared memory so they can store as much as 400 to 500 plus text messages.

Anyone have any official word from Motorola about this bug in the software (missing clock and home icons?) I am sure that moto will release one soon because a simple software glitch could cause them lots of return issues.

The whole clock and icons not showing on the home screen is a bug in the software. Your only options right now are to send yours back and hope you get one with 100% working software, or wait for a software update from Motorola and update it yourself.

I'm assuming this phone has the same software as the v3x thus.. to show ur time and date... go into SETTINGS - PERSONALIZE - HOMESCREEN - you'll then see the clock and Date setting fields.. make sure date is ON and Clock is set to DIGITAL or ANALOGUE. Should sort it out folks... let me know if it does.

The size of Moto Z3 is similar as SE K750. Not bulky and just nice to hold in an average palm. The phone is solid and the semi auto sliding mechanism is smooth. I have no problem with the keypad when sending SMS even my fingers are big. The bright clear screen with colour font for messaging is a gift for people with poor eyesight. When I first switched on the new phone, the first message was to check the date/time. After I had keyed in the correct date/time, it appeared on the screen whenever I switched it on. I suggest to return the phone to agent for checking if date/time display is not appearing on the screen.

I meant to say is during standby mode, the time and date should appear on the display screen. But for some reason I can't to find a way to display the time, either digital or analog time. Does anyone know how to display the time during standby mode? Is it hidden somewhere? Do you think this is a software problem? Thanks for your help.

The time is displayed on pics made with digital cameras, not on mobile phone token pictures.

I have this phone in blue (see my posts on the previous pages). The Slider should not move sideways. It should be of a good quality rock solid construction. I would get it checked and if necessary replaced as soon as possible.

just got this phone yesterday wondered if anyone else noticed whether when the phone is in the open position does the top part moved sideways ever so slightly when your thumb is on it dont know if its just the design be glad of any comments otherwise love the phone

Thank you for understanding Tunde! I sent the phone back today. I only get unlock phones. I usually don't like T-Mobiles phones here in the States. I'm glad not everyone else is having this problem. that means it was just my phone. I can't wait to get the replacement one! I'm also waiting for the New Nokia N95.

Dag switch the network to 850/1900. That is the US frequence. If you need more info, take a look at some of the motorola forum. motox and howardforum has tread about your phone already.

Carlos, I have this phone in the UK and have no signal problems with it. My phone is unlocked and so has the standard Motorola software on it which has not been customised for any particular network provider such as T-Mobile. You're are right though, the phone should sort out your network automatically. I wonder if any of the contacts were slightly damaged or mis-aligned when you first inserted the sim card (I know it was not easy getting the sim card into my phone the first time I tried it). Do you have a sim card from another service provider you could test the phone with? At the end of the day if it still doesn't work then don't put up with it, get a replacement - but test it first before accepting it.

I did tried Automatic and Manual for a couple of days, It would pick up a signal for just a little bit, like for one call or one text then I won�t have a signal for the rest of the day. I tried it at home, at Starbucks, on the street, in the car and at a restaurant. It would always say No Service or something like that, and then I will try to call or text someone and it would say call fail and message sent to outbox to re-send later. You have this phone, right? Are you having any problems with it? Do you have to manually choose the bands? It should do it all by it self! I have T-Mobile in Houston, Texas. I have a Nokia N73 and a Razr V3 and they work just fine!

About your phone not getting signal, try to change the Newtork configuration either to Automatic (and wait see if it picks up) or to your known band (i.e. America's 850/1900)

Hi everyone, I just got this phone last Friday (11/24/06). I have T-Mobile service and I currently have the Nokia N73. I live in the Houston, TX. Well my question is does anyone have any problems on picking up a signal? My Z3 would NOT pick up a signal at all, it did a few times but after a little while it would say no service found. Can someone let me know if you're having the same problem. I don't have any problems with my Nokia. Please let me know!!!
