Excellent phone. Has the looks and build quality. Great keypad and dispaly. Got mine in Dec 2008. Still going strong, Battery goes on the blink of late. Probably the time has come to put it to pasture. Large SMS capacity, OK camera. Bite sized memory. Rugged phone for the aged. My Mom has been using one since 08 and is extremely pleased.

Great phone. Bought one in Delhi, India in Dec 08. Solid feel. Excellent build qualiy. I am a Motorola fan. Unfortunately they dont sell great feature phones loke they used to. Its all touch and light and sound. Hate Moto for it. W375 a fantastic rough use phone. Never missed a beat. battery life now on the peter. Changed battery twice in the last 2 yrs. Uncomplicated phone for simple use. low memory, decent display. sexy design Good camera. Easy sms. Rugged phone.

This was my first phone, not bad for a starters. But unfortunately it didn't have bluetooth or video camera :-( The camera wasn't too bad, it would get its occasional good shots. The internet was VERY slow. As well as sending pictures. Also I couldn't download any music on it or put my pictures on the compter because it didn't come with cables. The phone is VERY strong and it would be very hard to break. The games aren't very entertaing either. Although it lacked in features, I still loved this phone very much. I recommend it for a starters.

Yes, well, I have had this phone for about two years and at the start it took me a while to get used to it too. But then I found out, if you go to create message, then click the bottom right button three times it will allow you to text the common way without suggestions. Hope that helps! :-)

I've had this phone for 3 years, it is bombproof. it is simple to use but thats all. what irritates me about it: -the keypad is very unresponsive new, and terrible once over 2 years old. after 3 years of texting 2-6 times a week i have to press down hard to get a response.. (but most mobiles will do this) - the memory is TERRIBLE. it can only store up to 100 contacts, about 4 very poor quality pictures and up to 100 messages (inbox and outbox combined) - the battery only lasts a few days.. - sometimes the ear-level speaker will simply, not work. forcing you to go to loudspeaker. -no bluetooth, never tried using internet. -there are options to save text messages in inbox but not outbox (wtf?) (same for a couple of other features) -games are terrible and was never able to load any on -ringtones are terrible, never able to load any new ones on -was never able to connect to my pc. good for old people though...

i got mine from amazon, £12.99 + £4.99 p&p, its great for a starter phone, i only wanted it so i didn't have to take my blackberry 8520 to school. the camera is not great but it takes the odd good shot now and then. im kinda disappointed that it takes ages to charge and that it does not have a video camera.

Had this phone for 3 years - bullet proof. Took it on a cycling holdiay without a charger. Kept it switched off except when I needed it, about an hour a day - battery lasted 22 days !! Dropped it and got it wet many, many times. Not brilliant at texting and I guess it is fairly dated now, but if you need a simple, tough mobile, it is excellent.

This phone is good in the sence that it is easy to use, however, if your like me and like to text alot, this phones battery is not great. Phone lags when texting, and CANNOT SEND A PHOTO (takes a longgggg time, im talking hours/days) other than that, have not had any issues with it, it doesnt brake easily.

i don't recommend this phone, it's plain and boring, perhaps it would haave been good 10 years ago, however it's not great, even for a first phone, it's memory can't be expanded (no room for SD card), and no bluetooth, i mean OMG what phone doesn't have the basics. trust me i no from experience

I have had this phone for 2 years I got it as a no frills phone for the basic of texting and calling, for which it has worked fine. Unfortunately after two years the lens on the camera has now got scratched. For £20 it has been well worth it, if you want all the other fancy features you should spend a little more on a phone.

Great Phone! Love it! I work on cattle farms and its thrown, bumped and soaked in water on an almost daily basis, and its still kickin after abotu 2.5 years. (i think?) No bluetooth, and crappy memory, but *shrug* i only want to call and txt people, pluss catch a few snaps. Quality CAN BE alright on the camera, but CAN also be really shit. Depends on lighting and such.I had to steal my brothers cord to get them onto the computer. All in all, im going to miss this little phone when i upgrade to a new one (need a 'telstra blue tick' phone to take bush)

Yeah i would suggest getting a new phone after all it was only like �20 I presume (although i got mine �40!! not worth it). It really is a non reliable phone. I got a new phone at last ( samsung touch genio) but still this phone is the dumps. My dad got this off me and the 1, 4, and sometimes 0 buttons do not work at all (u have to litterally smack it hard). Before that he had another motorola and eventually the vga camera broke and soon enough the screen went black. Its still gathering dust somewhere in my house. Motorolas are not very good phones , sony erricson are alot better! I reccomend Sony erricson or nokia or even samsung just dont get that phone again.

The phone is very expensive here in our country even if it is secondhand. It's price costs 3,400 pesos here in the philippines around 70-73 US dollars. I rather want to recommend samsung E250 with the same price and the quality includes mp3, fm radio, camera, video, card slot. As compared to this phone with camera and fm radio only. It is really very expensive yet the quality does not fit to the wants of the users. That is why I now understand why motorola phones are not that very much popular in the philippines. The model is good but it's useless when you buy one of those phones...

Looks really is deceiving. U wont think that this phone is cheap since the design is cool. But beware the features!!! It is soooo slow and unresponsive when texting. After a while the keypad kinda lifts because of the rubber i guess. It can only store upto 100+ messages and then it'll hung. Bottom line, DO NOT BUY THIS.

Is motorola company actually bothered by these comments?i had got this mobile 1.2 years ago and it started creating problems around an year after its purchase. Intially,its right click key stopped functioning properly. Then, around a month ago, its whole keypad stopped functioning. And to my shock, I found your good service centre provider telling me the estimate of repairing it is around Rs. 1800/- i.e. more than half of its original price!!!!!!!! Is this the quality you give to your customers ?????? My only and I suppose many others will agree that This Mobile only looks good, but is not so good............

this phone does not work pretty good..there are many problems in this instrument.they are as 1.The battery is not long lasting...it remains active for a day only then we have to put it in the charging for atleast 4-5 hrs for fully charge.. 2.there are some files locked by the company of about 1mb.. they are of no use...in addition to this even we can not remove these files... 3.it gives only 489kbs of space in the external divice so with the help of phone we can not transfer any data.... and many more problems....

i have this mobile , but i am not using it always only when i have sites or going for safaries so if i will loose it will not be so lost, i agree with all of you battery not lasting for long time also charging taking long time not any way to download anything worthable and the camera not too good to be dependable yet there are some good futures on it , shap is good and strong against fall down and also not too heavy also it s slim so i am feeling very comfortable when i am using it

To say this in the most polite way. This phone is the most useless phone ever made.I can't plug it into my computer to share pictures. Extremly low memory i can't even load 1 song on my phone. No bluetooth and no video cam and Poor graphics. Motorola are creating phones every month and are always thinking out of the box some are really good and some really bad. I am getting a new phone. Thank god! I do not recommend you buying this phone!!!!!! Rate: 3/10

I'm not a texter, texting to me is for people who have a constant studder, but I do Like my own photo's and my own ringtones. As far as bluetooth is concerned and being able to use your own ringtones. With this phone your screwed. I will be glad when a company comes along and offers a pay as you go plan and has a phone that is fully functional. If any of these now name brand companies were actually good, they wouldn't have to worry about people hacking their SIM card and using the phone with other companies. The rest of the companies will suffer greatly the day a company stand up and says the hell with the rest, that's hiow you corner the market. Thats how you make money.

Had this phone and took it back after 3 days - it was terrible. Slow, unresponsive, rubbish camera, and the headphones had to be plugged halfway in or they wouldn't work. aside from that, no card slot or MP3 player.

The good things: -cheap -simple -nice design -FM radio is tip top -wallpaper -mp3 ringtone (a short one, there is not enough memory for more) The cons: -very slow -very limited memory capacity which is a huge problem: you could listen to mp3, but you cannot store any music on it, there is no space. you can take pictures and the quality is okay for VGA but you can't store many pictures, there's no space. you can only save 100 contacts, 100 messages (combined) -it needs ages to copy to SIM, or to delete messages -therefore it is not accessible -low performance -battery is very limited, effectively around 100h in standby and 2-3h in talking -text messaging is a pain! the mobile is so slow, this is not for fast or normal message writers. truly horrible. Rating: D (A: best, F: total FAIL) It is close to failing, slow performance, low battery and no expendable memory are super bad. I will sell it after a long 10months of use and go back to my very old Nokia 3120

I got this phone in 2008 around febuary. This was my very first phone. I would recomend this phone to first users. It is not very good because... -Low memory + no extra memory card slot -you cannot put themes on this phone -does not allow you to load music -no bluetooth -No video -no voice recorder -no 3D games -no screen on the front of the phone But there are a few good things that might benifit... -Pre-loaded screen savers -comes in a range of colours -pretty good for a low camera -34 mixed sounds/ringtons OVER ALL I WOULD RATE IT 4/10 i would keep in mind if your buying this phone its missing alot of really good things.

I've had my w375 for about a year and a half. I use it for calls and texts nothing more and it is worked very well for me in those purposes. However my phone came from Greece and won't always get the same reception as other phones with the same service in the same spot. Not a problem now that I'm living in SoCal but was a huge issue in Kansas. Also this phone is VERY durable. I drop any phone I have at least once a day and usually on hard surfaces. Some scratches, no breaks/cracks. Still rock solid.

I had this phone last year, before I moved out of the U.S. It was simple and easy and worked fine (I had dropped calls, but that was my service provider, not the phone). I didn't like it much for all the reasons stated on this site by others, but at the time that I got it, that's what I was looking for. I got it secondhand when it was a year old and I used it for about a year. It still works just fine, even as my 2 month old "has-everything-you'll-ever-need-BlackBerry" (which I only got so that I could keep in contact with my family, via internet, at all times) is giving me occasional problems. My mom has the same phone now. She wanted the simplest phone she could get and she's happy, because she doesn't have to spend too much time having to figure out how to use a thousand features that she doesn't even understand, let alone use. She said she doesn't get service in some buildings, here and there, but other than that, it works just fine for her. How good the phone is depends on what features you're looking for. If you're going to get bored because the phone doesn't do everything but cook you breakfast in the morning, then you need to reach deeper in your pockets and spend more for your needs. If you want, as we did, something that "makes calls and rings, when someone is trying to contact you", this is just what you're looking for. I didn't even know about the radio. LOL Have a great one, all. ~A.

I've read quiet a few bad comments about this phone. You get what you pay for and not much in life is free. For the money this phone meets all of my needs and I still have a pocket full of money. My cell phone monthly bill is not hundreds or thousands of dollars. It seems most problems people have can't be fixed with this phone so why try and then whine about it. I'm sure if you contacted Motorola with your phone needs they will steer you to the right phone. Motorola has worked well for me for 50 years.

If you bought this phone in the USA, then Motorola took out the Drag/Drop USB feature on this phone. I personally bought mine from Colombia and it works perfectly! I can even sync it with the USB cable, all I do is plug it in and it asks if I want to use as a storage device. Motorola disabled this feature in the USA so the consumers would be forced to pay the large airtime rates to download the music to this phone.

well lets see it is very durable especially if you drop itas much as i do. i like the look and most of the features... but there is a few things the company could of improved. the texting could have been better. sometimes it gets very annoying... there is no bluetooth, which i am very diaappointed about. when you call the company to get some answers a woman who can bearly speak english answers... and you end up hanging up on her because you end up just as confused as before... and on some occasions she hangs up on you... also you cant add music on your phone that is a major negative towards this phone... the makers should of thought this through before putting it on the market. finally when i went on the internet to search ringtones i could not listen to the songs before purchasing... if the company would have changed these negative qualities this phone would be overall excellent

if you msg alot then dont get this phone. it is too slow when you type (Abc1) and the dictionary is only predictive so you always have to go back and change the letters around. there is no bluetooth wich is bad and also the ring tones are annoying and you cant change them because theres not enough memory to put new ones on.

Design: 7.5 (Cool design, i have it in my hands and it's really nice, soft and good grip.. but remember it's almost all cheapo plastic... display is just fine for a low-end phone, the led indicators are useful, i can say so because my phone have's them) Features: 4.5 (It's a low-end phone, but come on it can have at least more internal memory, lacks all conectivy but at least has USB, vga camera could be improved, but is ok... it has a radio so it's nice and simply... only 4.5 because there is nothing interesting at features) Performance: 6 (Impressive talk time, in reality it's almost the same, good battery life... my friend use it all the day and can resist even a little more, so good performance) If you want a nice and simply phone to make calls and send messages and some time take a little picture, buy it now... it's very cheap!

I had one of these phones it worked well and never gave me any problems until two weeks ago when it turned itself off and it will not turn on again, i have charged it up so i know it's not the battery. I haven't even dropped it before so it can't be broken from that but its obviously not a good phone and i would definelty not reccomend buying it.

got this phone today on ebay from a guy who got it from Colombia. For once in my life, the usb port actually worked (had the net10 one before) I was finally able to upload ringtones and pictures, even though the memory is only 500kb, i'm satisfied!

I posted this a couple of months ago but I haven't seen it yet. Good news for Net10 photos. You can download them by attaching them to an e-mail from your phone. To send an e-mail you have to call Net10 and have them connect you to their network. It will cost about 25 cents to send an e-mail.

i got the motorola w376g for tracfone, which is pretty much like this one except it has bluetooth. I really like it. The FM Radio has RDS which is pretty cool. The only thing I do not like is Tracfone disabled the USB port and bluetooth pairing, but if i want to take a picture to my PC i'll use a digial camera and not the vga camera!

I have only seen the picture of the phone. But it looks like their is a grey cover with the Icon symbol of a "three prong pitch fork with a round filled in dot at one end". That is a USB (Universal System Bus) connection. Lift up the grey cover to access the USB plug on your phone. You will need a special cable, an electronic store would know. If your computer has the USB connection already, it will have the same Icon symbol next to the USB plug. If not it is very easy and inexpensive to add a USB card, yourself. G.V. Houston

u cannot connect this phone to ur computer. there is no place in the phone to plug the wire in so it can connect to ur comeputer. ok, i am not sure if this works but i think there's a way to eamil ur pictures. go on your phonebook and put in an email address instead of a phone number. make sure it's labeled as an emal address. then go to "view pictures" and when u get to a picture u want to email, press the "center button," which is the one surrounded by the round keys like right left up down. and then u can find ur way around it and email it to the person. =) (i'm guessing it'll work so try it!! remember there's no way to connect ur phone to ur computer)

simply plug ur w375 to ur pc/laptop by a mini-usb cable compatible with ur celfone, w375, and ur pc usb port. be sure to plug ur w375 with the flip open, once plugged to ur pc, the fone wil ask if to connect as a usb mass storage device, select Yes. Windows Vista/XP shall identify ur w375 as a mass storage device, open ur my computer there a removable drive icon appears representing ur w375 fone's memory. just drag and drop files. after using it, just click safely remove storage device from the taskbar.

you can't use the motorola w375 as an internet modem for your laptop or pc. moto w375 only supports 2G networks,only 3G, HSDPA phones on 3G networks can be used as internet modems for their laptops. though you may still surf the wap/gprs mobile internet from the moto w375, just ask your network provider, subscribe and activate the network's WAP/GPRS settings on your moto w375 fone. Motorola has a few models which support 3G/HSDPA internet such as the Z8, razor maxx, razor v3x, and Q9h.

The phone is pretty and fairly functional. After 5 months, the it is difficult to charge, you to have the hold charger in at just the right place for it to work. The phone also freezes up at random moments. The sim has to be taken out and put back in, and then the phone must be restarted. Happens during phone calls and texts. Very annoying if you don't notice it at first. Several times people have trying to get ahold of me but the phone is frozen, so I am none the wiser. Going to buy a new phone tomorrow.

i had my w375 fone for a long time now bout a year, and still works in good condition even after i accidentally dropped it 'bout 1.20 meters high falling directly on hard concrete floor, yet it still works, no damage to the camera. i also like my w375 fone, despite its cheap and only has 1.5mb of memory and 500kb of mass storage space, its still a good fone for those who have a tight budget. what's good bout w375 it has nice built-in camera effects, FM-radio, and it doesn't need motorola phonetools software to download or upload pics and ringtones. Just plug your w375 (celfone must be flipped open) to your pc/laptop (windows xp/vista) your w375 will ask to connect as Mass storage device, press Yes; wait til windows detects your phone, after detection, check your device on My Computer and drag 'n drop your files. After using it, just click Safely remove storage device from the taskbar and stop your w375 and remove the usb cable once windows confirms removal of device. You can also scan your w375 fone's memory for viruses using your pc's anti-virus software. Tip: Before buying any celfone, make sure that you select your celfone by making sure it has the functions and features you want, that it also fits in your budget. so you don't have to clamour and feel guilty that you bought a celfone which you would regret you bought. A good condition of a celfone also depends on its user/owner, if the user is careless with his/her gadgets whether its a celfone, pda, ipod or laptop, surely it won't last and you will pass the blame on the product instead of your own carelessness.

I got this phone, had for about 4 months. I love the design but that's about the only good thing about it. Battery life is okay but goes down if you talk a lot. You CANNOT connect it with USB don't listen to the other people, the Europeans can connect it but us Americans cannot. If you're looking for a phone just for calling, this is for you. If you think you text alot, take pictures, and w/e, get another phone!!!!

I've been informed by Net10 that if you have a W375 from them that you cannot transfer pictures from your phone to your computer. A USB cable will not work and e-mail will not work. If anyone has figured out how to get pictures off these Net10 camera phones please let us know.

This is by far the worst phone that i have ever purchased. I bought it because it is simple and i didnt need anything fancy. Believe me, it is simple alright. The only thing i really needed it for was text messaging. That is a total nightmare. It is slower than any phone that i have ever had. It does not keep up at all when im typing, causing me to spell almost every word incorrectly. Although it is very cute and stylish, at the end of the day, style gets you nowhere. I could only get it to hold one ringtone. That is ridiculous. Honestly what where you thinking to produce a phone with such low memory. Especially these days. I would have expected that with the first phone ever invented. I never wanted a phone for its camera features or music features, because if i did i would get a camera and an ipod. But i do enjoy using separate ringtones for different contacts. If your into that like i am, i would not suggest this phone. Its ridiculously cheap. And I am extremely disappointed with it.

The worst of all is that you cann't send messages long enough to say anything. Only 70 characters! Seems like some people fix this in their Motorolas by using cracking software, but this one can only be connected to the PC as storage device. Also when writing messages, you cann't write very fast, since there's a delay for letters to appear in screen and you cann't keep writing very much ahead of the screen. It has almost no memory, if you want to take pictures, you can store less than 10 pics. You can use MP3 as ringtone... but no decent MP3 would fit in this memory. There's an "Internet" browser. You'll find that there are 2 keys that are used to access it... pressing them by accident connects you to the net. And you cann't configure those two keys! You cann't download or buy games or music. MOTOROLA NEVER MORE!!!

hey people, i really need your help. Motorola keeps making new w-series "krzr" phones, yet EVERYTIME they lack a certain feature. For example, w375 cool phone, no bluetooth or micro-sd slot. The w270, i know it's a budget phone but motorola should make another one with a camera. I have been waiting a long time for motorola to wake up and just make one fine w-series flip phone. If enough of us can go to www.hellomoto.com and contact them to try to convince them to make a w-series flip phone with Fm radio, micro-sd slot, bluetooth, and camera, they might actually take this idea and introduce one last w-series phone. They actually came pretty close with the w490, but it doesn't have an fm radio (Really important to me) So I would really appreciate it if you all could send motorola a simple e-mail telling them that they should make ONE LAST w-series flip phone with all of the features consumers want; bluetooth, fm radio, camera, and micro-sd slot, that's all we need! i got this phone and its very disappointing.. it doesnt have a blutooth nor infrared.. the memory is very low that u can't even upload many pix.. but you can change the resolution to MMs(160x120)for u to have a smaller pix but maybe a lot of pix to take.. the pads are very hard,, the charging takes a long time and it only last for 3 days.. i cant even connect it to the pc coz it doesnt have a driver... this phone is very boring.. also the games.. i dont feel any excitement.. duh...i wouldnt recommend it to my frends.. very stylish.. but very useless..

I just got this phone today. The battery takes forever to chrage, but other than that it's a nice little phone. Good sound quality, the buttons and screen are big enough, and the camera works pretty good as long as you have good lighting. This is a great phone for someone who is just starting out, or for someone who wants a basic phone with a few bells and whistles. But if you are looking for a high-end phone with 3G and megapixels, look somewhere else! Overall, this phone is great for the Average Joe.

The phone is very reliable, albeit lacking on nice features. My carrier (Net10) knocks it's features factor down a bit, but it's a sturdy phone. This phone has no expandable slot, no Bluetooth, and a composer that is horrid. For a higher end phone (from Net10) it isn't worth the $40 increase. On the good side the battery is quite nice, holds a charge well, and it performs it's basic functions quite well. If you're going prepaid, pick a cheaper phone, if you're on a plan, go for a better phone.

To connect the w375 to your computer and take off photos do the following:- connect a usb cable to computer, switch on phone by opening it, plug usb cable to phone. You will get a message on phone "Connect phone as a storage device?" Click Yes then phone will switch to a storage device and your computer will recognise it as another hard drive. Use explorer to shift photos. EASY!

I am getting sick of this phone!! I would like to know why I cannot go into the pics that I downloaded from my pc to the phone. All I see is a box with a red x in the middle. Also when I go into my pics from the camera options I only can see the pics that I took after the ones that I downloaded from the pc. It's a priti good phone. I got it in December and hated it for about a week, just because I was expecting something a little bit better. But at the end of the day, it has turned out to be a cheap classy phone. It has about 1mb of space that I've not been able to gain access to, even though I've tried and tried. I don't know if games are downloadable on it either.

i really love this phone. i've had it for a few weeks. no bugs. i called customer service early on, and they were helpful. calls are routed to south america. the pay plan of net 10, which i use this phone with, is perfect for me. the phone is sleek and expensive looking. i have a black one. the camera can take nice pictures up close. i would like better keys, they are hard to press.

i got this phone about 3 months ago for net10. I am in the USA, it seems everyone who bought it is having a problem with connecting it to the pc. I've tried everything, but it will not connect, even when i install a driver and follow the directions as stated by the person below me. For some reason, ppl who bought the phones in other countries (UK, Australia, ect.) can sync it just fine, but us here in the United States can't. O well

Just to clarify, this phone's memory is tiny (you only have 500kb, that's right, half a MB to play with). So while this phone is capable of playing mp3s, you won't even fit one whole song on it. And the memory is not expandable, which is ridiculous really. But the FM radio is handy (even if I prefer to listen to AM it's better than nothing), and tiny memory aside, for the price this is a great phone; call quality is especially good & I have had no such problems as others have reported with battery life. GPRS means you can check email & stuff on the move too. If you want to charge via the USB, as I stated in my previous posts, you'll need the driver. You do NOT need the driver just to connect to a PC, but make sure you connect directly, not via a hub. You DO need a driver to charge via the USB, you can get the driver here: and my previous post (read down) tells you how to install it.

You CAN put mp3 ringtones on the W375 and they sound great. As stated here, the memory is tiny so you must be clever. Open the mp3 you want to use as a ringtone in an audio editor (Soundforge/Audacity/Nero Wave Editor) and cut the song down to the best 20-30 snippet. It's only a ring tone, you don't want the whole song as you'll never hear it as a ringtone. Then NORMALISE it and save it as 40kbps mono mp3. The resulting file will only be around 100kb & certainly small enough to transfer. It's pointless using higher bitrates for better sound quality as the speaker, while pretty good, won't play at a higher quality than this anyway. With regards to problems connecting through USB, make the the phone is switched on, on the home screen, idle with the flip OPEN. It will never connect with the flip closed. Then connect your phone DIRECTLY to your PC, (not through a USB hub as some won't work) then wait. It will ask you if you want to connect as USB device, select yes. It might take up to a minute for the phone to connect. You'll know it's connected when the screen on the W375 goes white with some black text that says: "In storage mode, no regular phone activities can be done." Then go to MY COMPUTER on your PC and you should see your phone showing as a virtual drive (MS DEVICE) along with your C, D drive (or whatever other drives you have installed). You can transfer photos from your phone's pictures folder to your PC (so you can delete them from your phone & free up much needed space) and you can also drop small mp3s (as outlined above) into the music folder. Once you're done, on the phone select Multimedia/Sounds/External Storage Device, and you should see your mp3. Hit the centre key to see a menu where the top option is "Apply as ringtone". Also, images you transfer from your PC make much better wallpaper & screen savers that photos you taje on the VGA camera & really show off the decent screen on the W375 to good effect. Once again, making the file size as small as you can will help you not fill up the phone's tiny memory too quickly. The W375's charger connects to the phone's USB port, and you can charge via the USB, but not as standard. You need to go to the motorola website & get the driver, which seems a little odd as most phones with a mini-USB port will happy charge straight out of the box. And, once you've got the driver, it isn't immediately clear what you're supposed to do with it (it's not an exe file), so here's some help: Create a new folder on your desktop (doesn't matter what you call it) & download (or copy) the driver from the motorola website to this location. Then connect the W375 via USB directly to your computer (again USB charging doesn't usually work it you try to use a USB hub). At the bottom of the screen you will see a balloon that says "New USB device" - click this balloon then select the "Have disk" option, then click "browse" to select the folder you made & put the driver into. It might take a minute or 2 to install the driver. When complete, disconnect the phone. The next time you connect, and get the option to "Connect phone as USB device" select NO and hey presto, your phone is charging via the USB port. This is pretty complicated, and prevents you from using the USB charge to use any USB port on any computer you might be close to as the computer MUST have this driver installed in order to charge. The driver file is tiny though, and you can store it in your phone for installation onto other machines once you've worked out how to. Email me if you have any questions by all means!

Doesnt this thing connect to PC and allow pic transfer if not its no use coz even W 223 has all the features but for the VGA camera.(thereby a waste of money) Its a chep mobile for ppl who want a ostly looking and slim one!!!! I have a Motorolla W375. The keypads are hard for me,and it takes a long time to sending the message, had to wait for it to send before i close its flip..The memory is a little low too.. It wasn't hard to tranfer the files since it didnt need any software..The Battery and Charging was not a problem to me so far.The style and looks are awesome for the price, I like the phone.. To those looking for a simple phone this will do you good..

i like it alot. the only problems though is the battery life(which has been stated already), and that everytime i try to download a ringtone it doesn't let me open the browser to comfirm the download. it either says "Failed", or it just couldn't find the URL.

Yes, it looks gorgeous, but no, I wouldn't recommend it. I have only had mine about three days but despite fiddling with everything I can find no way of getting MP3 ringtones onto it. It says it is possible to put music onto it through the computer, but all your stored items must total no more than 500kb. If you have a photo of say 32kb stored on the phone that reduces the storage limit to virtually nothing, certainly not enough for even a bog-standard short music clip. (You can theoretically download music through the WAP but the limit for this is 100kb per download, which is next to nothing.) Another irritating thing is that the camera has uninteresting basic animations and naff photos loaded onto it, which you can't remove to rescue a bit more memory. SO ... I don't want bluetooth, or huge memory for storing songs, but I WOULD like a phone that can provide one or two musical ringtones rather than the tiresome bleeps that this one is provided with. So this phone doesn't do it for me on those points. The text entry system is odd, but I guess I will get used to it. The only thing I am really impressed with (I'm easily pleased!)is the way you can use a photo you have taken as a wallpaper - OK, it won't store many photos, but the quality for a basic camera seems good and you can actually download the photo to your computer.

not thirlled with this phone. the phone is S L O W. i've never had a phone that is this slow. camera quality isn't great. you have to wait until the phone displays "Message Sent" until you can close the flip for a message to be sent or else its cancelled. It is a pretty looking phone for the price. No external caller ID. Not very friendly when trying to connect to a PC. I would NOT recommend this phone. at all.

This is a very good fone it wasnt built to play mp3 all day and its perfect for people that need a nice simple fone. it has a sleek design that makes it different than any other fone its at a great price. and there is many things you can do with it sure it doesnt have bluetooth or"infra" but its still good it has a usb port to handle photos music even fix your contact list. its easy to use.

What a piece of crap. Had a motorola V176, and switched to the W375. The V176 is a very simple phone. No camera, but don't need. Got a camera. Got a lot more memory, and charges fully in about 2 hours, once every 3 days. Easy to use, and does a lot more. Got it for $50 W/ 300 mins. to boot. Needless to say, I went back to the V176 and I am much more pleased with it.

Just got this phone a week ago. Very very dissapointed. For those out there planning to buy this, do not proceed. Very slow phone. Typing the characters is very frustrating. Although I could say it has a nice look but the features are so bad. Motorola is just really a fashion phone. Go for Nokia for features. Just wasted my money on this. Grr.

i got my w375 5 days ago. i noticed it was a little slow but now i dont even notice. its a great phone for txt and calls. the camera takes clear pics. i love the three games on it also. my biggest disappointment is there is no lcd screen on the outside. i constantly have to open the phone to check the time and see who is calling. all in all, great deal for the price

first and foremost when i recieve the motorola phone from my mom im so excited to use but when i knew that there is no infrared even bluetooth it makes me discourage with the phone..im not contented with no bluetooth or infra coz the phone is useless..and how you get a tones if you dont have infra or bluetooh.. about the battery it makes me feel bad..the battery is you have to gain more time because it takes time to full charge..i charged it almost 8hours but then the phone doesnt full charge..and when it full only 3 hours you can use the phone because it makes low battery..goshh....

I just give one for my wife as a gift. If you don't like much feature and you are into a stylish, slim mobile phone, this one is for you. What I like it the most is the clarity of the voice of the caller and it has this game called 'crazy' which is like gunbound in pc. The camera is okay if taken outdoors.The keypad and displays are very nice. What's not good is the font; you can't resize them. It has pretty large fonts that the person besides you can read it. But overall this fon is great for female, it is a complete headturner and its very cheap. My rating is 8 of 10.

This phone may look very good, but looks are deceiving. It does not play mp3 ringtones, i've tried uploading many in various formats, does anyone know how to put mp3s on this phone? Also, the fm radio is NOT stero, in other words if you listen to it on a stereo head set, you'll only hear it in one ear. We're not half deaf! Motorola claims that this can be synced with Motorola phone tools, but then later stated "there is no driver for the w375 and there are no future plans on making on" so they basically lied about the whole phone. This is really frustrating because in order to send a picture to your computer, you have to send it in a multimedia message which takes up minutes on your phone. I would recommend this phone to someone who just needs a basic good looking phone, but not for someone who plans to use the camera and radio a lot.

Also, In an earlier post, someone has put: "worthless phone...no bluetooth, mp3 player, good camera OR even infa-red". Now read all them things that apparently make a phone be of worth. Have you noticed they all are add-ons for phones. The clue is in the name: mobile PHONE, its a phone evryone, what is a phone supposode to do? Ring people obviously. If Bluetooth, Mp3 players and cameras 'make' a phone, why would iPods, digital cameras and mp3 players be invented, they wouldn't would they? so come on people, wot do you really expect from a phone at this price: �30 GBP? Also, this phone has extremely good looks!

Then, I realise, this phone may not have the usual stuff phones have nowadays, e.g. bluetooth, mp3 player etc. But, if your looking for a nice, cheap, basic mobile for talking and texting, this phone is a good one. Granted the texting seems strange to start off, it becomes easier. Also, it has fm radio and a camera. what more do you want for �30? seriously. Moto W375 is cheap and beautiful. All the problems mentioned in the reviews are true. Takes 30 seconds to on this phone. Nokia starts in 15 seconds. The keys response also slow. Battery don't last long. Calendar starts on Saturday. I prefer week start on Monday. User cannot set the starting day of the week. And Sunday colour is same as other days. It should be red or a different colour. Radio sounds good but the earphone comes with single earbud. Vary disappointing. Listening to radio with one ear sounds funny. Can't connect to computer. I have downloaded driver from motorola web. It doesn't work. Perhaps motorola should just state in the user manual that you cannot connect to a computer. When charging, the phone doesn't function. It just show charging. Small memory. A lot of users have complained. I am not going to elaborate more.

If you are into texting messages 90% of the time you use your phone, then keep away from this phone. It is sooo slow and so frustrating for any text'er. Not to mention the display is like a couple of years backwards into time. It is so bad I only had mine for a couple of weeks as am now looking forward to dispose of it. And I thought the V3 was so-so. I could'nt even give this thing to my sister who is just an average user. I don't even know why Motorola ever bothered making this paperweight. The only thing going for it would have to be the radio, but that's about it I guess... This has to be the worst phone I've ever had.

The battery backup is very less I charge for 4 to 5 hours still the orange colour does not change to green. and sometimes when the plug is removed from the socket the phone gets completely off.and thirdly when there is no charge at all completely off then even while I am charging it does not allow me to do anything , no calls receiving or making calls no message reading absouletly nothing it simply says it is charging Please I would like to know from the company how many hours exactly the battery needs to be charged - is it everyday or when the charge is completely over. and for how many days or hours it will last once it is charged full. what is the correct method of charging and how to activate web browser,????????? once activated what is the charges ?? what are all the features in web browser.how much would each feature cost.?? How to download screen savers and wall papers from PC, ?????? and what are the charges for downloading. the camera is not very clear. I'm just wondering how efficient the battery is. Because i just got my phone and then charged it fully (as indicated by the screen "charge complete" after about 3 hrs.) but then the battery drained the day after (maybe about 38 hours after). Isn't the battery should have lasted about 3-4 days? Or i should have continued charging it for 6 hrs despite "charge complete" mode? I would appreciate anyone's reply about this. Thanks!

Hey Guys =] I bought this phone for what �30? For that amount of money I think Its good, What do you expect when you pay that amount of money? Its got a camera, I was doubtful about the camera as my previous motorola's camera wasnt very good quality but this one is better. The FM Radio is so so clear, you can either have it on loudspeaker or use headphones. I feel the front display of it is interesting, it flashes up a blue envelope when you have a text message, then a circle flashes green when you have a call. Ok so it has a small memory.. no video capture.. but that doesnt bother me, you can text easily, make phone calls easily and theres a good quality FM radio.. so for �30 it was a good buy for me. =] xxx

W375 is not that cool as marketed. V3 series are better in design, this one looks very heay as a rock in hand. The TFT screen is not as attractive as it should be, it does give pain to eyes while if used for more then 10 min. The resolution of the screen is 128x160, with good color contrast, but the distance between each pixel can be observed clearly as with CSTN disply. I think is not TFT but some kind of technology similar to that of Samsung. W375 keypads are good, and can be used with accuracy, its not slow responsive. Although the games included in this phone are not good at all. It has extreamly low memory 1.5 MB ! It cannot run Java, cannot capture video, cannot play MP4, nor can be used as MP3 player. But the FM is real good. In short you can do the following: 1- Calls 2- FM radi0 3- Image capture (640x480 max) [having low memory you cannot capture much pics] 4- Change ringtones (can use mp3 as ringtone) 5- connect it via USB to your PC (as capacity is 1.5 MB you canot do much with it) 6- Calender, Alarm, and other utilities Thats all. This is the cheapest usefull set Motorola is offering. W220 has no comparison and the price difference is very very low. So if you want to have a cheap clamshell (not dirt cheap), go for W375.

Bought this at a cellphone sale at the mall.. kinda cheap and it was only for 3 days. After browsing through the phone, the worst I could find is.. 1. LOW LOW LOW LOW MEMORY 2. For some reason, it made me text alot slower.. That's the only big probs.. the camera thing people complain about is not that reasonable since IT IS cheap after all. Just sad that the memory I can access is less than what I need for a full customization... And being in the Philippines, I text a lot more than I call, and I'm having difficulty replying haha.

this phone is good value, but I dont like it overall! start up time is very slow. Key response is slow, which if you ahve key tone on is VERY offputting as the tone sounds about 1/2 second after you press the key. SMS input defaults to multitap unless you find the option hidden away to default to T9. Camera is rubbish quality - not worth using. TThe navigation is not entirely easy to use as the centre key changes function randomly ffrom 'select', to 'more options' in different menus. Good points are the appearance and feel of the phone, and the loudspeaker. Radio is a good feature but I never use it because the earpiece is too much hassle to keep getting out - maybe for long journeys though.

Rubbish phone - bought it as a replacement for my LG chocolate after it went missing....WHAT A MISTAKE! It takes AAAAGES to text and keeps inserting random letters instead of a space (on my phone anyway) - basically u have to text really slow or it will keep messing up your sentences. Awesome phone to download song on to the phone you need to get tunebit. It takes protected songs and unprotects them, you can then edit your songs however you like, start them where-ever, fade them out etc... Its really neat you can even use the tunebit to convert music to play on Ipod from other music applications like yahoo napster etc...

Someone wrote here "it's impossible to have ringtone and vibrate same time" ... it is NOT impossible, just select "Vibrate & Ring" for ring type ... ;) If you got no accesories for this phone, a simple USB-miniUSB cable is OK. You DO NOT need any special software for file transfers like images or ringtones. The phone appears on my PC as "usb mass storage device". For those who want ringtones. Just download from the Internet any MIDI or MP3 ringtone to your PC, than upload them to the phone whit your "magic" usb cable. Be aware that the available memory for PC-phone transfer is about 500KByte, but you can find some cool ringtones much smaller than that. Howewer I couldn't find a way to transfer files from "Additional memory" to "Preloaded or downloaded media files" memory. I even tried to download a ringtone directly from the internet into the phone, but it saved it to the "Additional memory". If anyone has an ideea how to transfer files between these 2 memory ... PLEASE EMAIL ME. All in one I'm very pleased with this phone. It is a simple phone at a low price. In my opinion it may be one of the best in his middle-class. I espacialy like the calendar/planner, the advenced settings for alarms, the simple & well known motorola menu etc.

I dont like the fact that i cant take much photos but i trans fer them to my pc. I have heard a lot of moaning about transfer.Heres what I do I have UK Windows XP and use a standard usb to mini usb cable. First make sure that the flip is up then plug it in.The phone says Connect phone as storage device?, select yes. Then after a few seconds it loads up. Cross any stuff that the computer brings up. Go in to My Computer .There should me a drive thingy named MOTO W375 or some thing. then in there it has 2 folders pictures and sound. Transfer stuff or copy them to the correct flders . I'd give this phone 8/10. It's got plenty of features, but the biggest issue is the lack of memory. This phone'd need about 5 mb at least but now it's got only 500 kb for loaded files such as ringtones, pictures or pictures taken with the camera. FM radio reception is very good. Battery life is satisfactory. It lasts for a few days if u listen to the radio. 3-4 days if you just make calls. It's not that bad actually. In overall it's the cheapest camera phone and i'd recommend it to people who just need a basic phone with additional features. It beats even Nokia in some features.

I don't know what's to hate about this phone as it is better than any phone provided by Cingular. Great volume at both ends and the fm radio could come in very handy in the event of catastrophe when phone lines are jammed to keep you informed.

The battery life on my w375 has been shockingly bad! 1st battery, after 2 weeks of use it lasted 1.5 hours while the 2nd one after 2 charges is no better. Meanwhile all Virgin do is say it's my fault. Avoid this phone and buy Nokia!!!

I like this phone. It's Phone and little plus +1. Light weight and good looking ClamShell Mobile just for Rs. 5200/- +2. Good Battery Life. After purchasing even at 20% charge I used the phone for 18 hours till full battery drains out. +3. Sounds LOUD and CLEAR on LoudSpeaker/EarPiece/HeadSets while listening call / Tones and FM Radio. +4. Camera is good enough. (For me it wasn't important factor while buying.) +5. HeadSets with pack are good and may fit in anyones ear. (Headset selection is big headache for me but this wasn't happeded in case of this mobile.) +6. Mobile has pretty simple operation and contents on screen are well defined. +7. Phone don't have external screen but there are four very important indicators on outer portion of flip. +8. i bot it a month ago. i wld give it a 9/10 for looks. btw i have the mandarin orange one, which everyone seems to adore, mostly coz its diff. the camera works nice in gud lite but not for usual dim lit indoors i wld have liked to have a display screen outside too. the functionality is definitely not above 6. i mean it has crippled my sms typing speed and it always seems to take the longest route to anthing. it also takes time for u to get used to the YES key which appears on diff sides for diff functions. the buttons shld have been more touch sensitive coz these need to be pressed really hard. another problem is tht it stops sending out voice after 2 mins on incoming calls. this has been happening quite frequently to me now Generally i always like it when i luk at it n when others appreciate its luks, and i hv just reduced sendin txts to ppl(unwantingly ofcourse)

I've had this phone for a week now and I LOVE it. It's small and light-weight and looks stunning. My only cavil is with the handbook, which is really rather useless: instead of explaining how certain features work (e.g. the calender), it merely says that the feature exists - you have to work out HOW yourself. And it doesn't even mention the ringtone composer, let alone how it works (but to be honest, it's such a primitive little application that you probably couldn't be bothered anyway). All in all though, I'm very pleased with my (silver) W375 (not too sure about the pink and orange versions...)

In response to talha's comment: - You can download pics by connecting via USB and looking in the "pictures" folder. Although you can only download pictures you've taken and not any of the standard ones. - Text tone can be set separately to the ringtone. If yours "rang" when you got a text then it was faulty.

I was looking for a budget phone that looked good and had a good battery life. After much comparison, between Motorola W220, Samsung X210,Nokia 6060 i decided to buy this one. Pros - Looks and feels absolutely fantastic, like a real phone not a plastic toy. - The missed call, message and battery notification on the cover is simple but very functional and looks good too. - The radio and voice sound quality is awesome. - Screen is very good and looks solid. - It has all the basic functions qou could need in a budget phone. Cons - only 100 numbers in contact list (for me though that's enough) - the menu is not that stylish, though you can change wallpaper and colours. - It's a bit more expensive considering the functionality than other similar phones. The bottom line is this is a good solid budget phone and what costs more is the stylish looks. You just have to decide if that is good enough reason for you to spend 20-30 dollars more. For me it was.

Smart, flashy looking phone that does "exactly what it says on the box". Can't believe though that it was a lower spec than V220. Bought as replacement to it then had to return. Why still make phones you can't download pictures off! Lovely big screen, great camera, basic ringtones, different games to V220 (bit boyish). Weird that when text is sent ringtone plays. Disappointed with it but only cos I wanted to download pictures - no other reason.

If you read comments below you'll find a lot of b-atching about poor camera quality, memory etc. This phone wasn't designed to be a be all and end all phone - it's a just above entry-level phone and should be judged as one. It's small, smart and has the edge over other brands in terms of customising the settings e.g. you can set the text language separately of the menu language and it has vibe then ring or vibe & ring together. The volume of the ringer and strength of vibrate is superb and you easily can set different sounds for different alerts (call and text). The camera is basic and if you only need a basic camera - it works. If not then look at a more expensive phone. Before getting this phone I tried a LG Chocolate (almost inaudible text alert even on the "loud setting" and woeful handling of predictive text cAsE settings!) and a Samsung E900 (unable to turn off key error volume when in silent mode despite there being a menu option to do so!). I bought the W375 unlocked for less than 100 GBP - sorted. So in summary, while comments below (and probably above) about camera quality etc are objectively valid they are not valid to levy against this phone given its peers. If you want a robust basic phone that's good for the occasional low quality snap this phone comes recommended - plus you get a radio to boot. Apologies to other posters who feel I may have offended them by having a pop but if you can show me a better phone for the money I'll stand corrected � show me the phoney ... :)

Got to ask the question why did they make this phone? If you want a cam in a phone then this is not for you.Cam is 0.3 .pictures are horrible.Why does it need a bluetooth if it has only 1.5 mb.what are going to download in it if it had one.Of course it will be slow if it has only that much memory in it.So i would tell you if you want to buy a phone skip that one because its got a cam you cannot use and a memory that will keep you asking what do i erase next to keep the phone from working properly because you cannot use the whole 1.5mb otherwise your phone will just crash or else.Want size and nostalgia get the 220 instead.Less things there besides sms to get you worried about what to fill your phone with.

The first one is the W220, the W375 is the second. This unit will cost about 50USD, and has small features, because this is a low end phone. a stylish one, but low end, one must not forget. It has ONLY 1.5mb, a VGA camera, no other conectivity except USB, and that's it. This will cost about 50USD! Here in portugal it costs 80Eur or 95 USD and that's because it has a FM headset included!

I have this phone for 2 days and i like it its a prety decent phone I had a few Phones already. i had some nokias 3210 3330 3650 8310 6820 7650 a Telit GM 711(my first phone) a siemens C25 and a panasonic VS3(my last phone) now i have the W375 cause i broke my panasonic screen was too lasy to send it to repair, so, I brougth this one. This phone is a good deal. its a easy to use phone with all the basics. has radio, a great sound quality and a good designe. its a very basic phone so dont expect much. its easy to connect to the PC(mini USB) and you can charge it directly with the pc so no need to carry around the recharger( i havent tried this feature yet just read it on the manual) but, the lack of memory(500kb for user data and the other 1000kd to games sms mms etc)the poor camera and the fact that it is a bit slow phone(only noticible on the SMS writing) realy costs it some points. the camera quality is not that great its the basics of the phone cameras realy VGA...bah. the batery is realy good i have been text mesaging all day and i still have some decent batery left. so i would say its pretty good batery life. The screen amazed me i wasnt expecting this much color on the screen with 65K colors and 128 x 160 pixels but the quality is preaty damn good for the price. so basically: The Pros -good batery life. -good brigth and colorfull screen. -easy to connect to PC -radio -MP3 suport -good designe -good price -computer charge (usb port) The Cons -insuficient memory(1 photo 3% memory) -slow on text mesaging -basic camera -500kd for user data and 100kb to aplications and SMS. Conclusion? well i say you should buy it if all you want is a basic phone with some extras and that looks cool. yeah i would grade it: 7/10

Great style (similiar to the K1), good set of functions, nice image and sound (during conversation) for the price is asked in Portugal about 80�!!! Too bad about the 100 entries phonebook and the litle memory just 500kb available of 1.5Mb.... You can�t have everyting for this price. Motorola really knows style. Their phones are so stylish. I give you a hand for style, keep it up. But most of their phones have similar features. One other thing is that they produce phones like this: they might make new phone with a new nice feature, the next time they'll make a new phone which is very stylish but has boring features similar to those of a phone they once made a long time ago. I was very dissappointed to find that V3 does not have a video camera whilst V360 does, and hence V3 was made after V360. Guys, tell me if I'm wrong.

Good peeps don't be fooled by the design, Motorola makes has very bad quality phones which is why they're pushing their phones with the help of the design. They hope people will buy on looks and gimmicks not on functionality - whichs seems to work very well as. If you want the *best* quality stick with Sony Ericsson or Samsung, not even Nokia reaches their level.

This is new range of entry level phones of moto. i think people will buy it coz of its price and looks. don't u people think it can compete with low range phones of Nokia. Just think and give ans.ANd the ans is it surely will and even it can beat Nokia Enrty level.

Why does motorola continue to release new phones with old features? If there going in this rate, they won't be able to compete with any of the other GSM producing companies. It seems as though motorola is digging its own grave.

Not good.Expect the radio nothing else is good.1.5 MBs of memory?!The phone's memory could get filled in seconds.In my opinion since RAZR V3i Motorola is only going down.

What a shame.I dont know wht moto engg thought before making this phone.I think moto should make Pda phones wiht linux os.I have used v3 for 3 days,I was so bored with it that i sold it on 4th day.The new os is really bad...mtorola will go donw with this kind of phones.

man when is motorola goin to create a decent phone i mean 65k with a VGA camera i mean how old is that. soon 3.2mp will be release and this phone will be dicontinued before it comes out. oh and sharp has already sold 3.2mp there goin for 4.0mp can't wait :)
