Nokia 105 (2015) - User Reviews

  • This is the phone that started all the Gameloft games that only let you play the game for 5 free trials before having to buy it. Games like Ninja Up and Sky Gift.

  • Can you tell me where is the options of sims from which i can make load?

  • Why does this have demo games? The original Nokia 105 didn't have any. :(

  • Iam using this phne frm 2014 it has nice battery packup and easy to handle

  • when trying to update my nokia store account it says the certificate is out of date

  • its nice3

  • its nice

  • Hello, anyone can give the correct information about headphone, does it work with phone calls ?

  • I love the ringtones and the instruments for the ringtones used on this phone. My favorite ringtones are Nocturnal, Coconut, Seahorse, and Brikabrak. Love it! I don't care about the 2011/2013 (whatever year the original was released) version as I hate the ringtones on that version.

  • Great little cellphone!

  • this is my phone for calling and texting., because im using tablet for facebooking and youtubeng.

  • easier to use than smartphone.

  • Dual sim consumes more battery power...that's why some people including me prefer single sim.

  • People buy this for calling and texting purposes only, and it is far way better than a phone having only 3mp camera or less becaus 3mp is nothing nowadays.

  • real phone thats all

  • No it has a separate loudspeaker

  • this phone is basic handset if you want to get a phone with cam the buy a smart phone! ^___________________________^V

  • A friend of mine is using this phone- Nokia 105(2015) and he told me that it is an extremely good phone with nice loudspeaker.

  • Terrible for a real phone!!!! Sucks that it doesn't have a camera...

  • does this phone have front speaker?or just single speaker which works for both call and loudspeaker??

  • Nice little phone, very lightweight and good. The blue one is the best looking but the black is also okay.

  • i have brought dual sim 105 black colour, nice phone and light weight

  • I'm using it as a back up phone. One thing I can say that it's call quality is very good and loud, no leakage of sound from the back. And the rest u all know

  • The ultimate Anti-Smartphone!

  • go for its dual sim then

  • Excellent feature phone. Value for money. Good brand. Only problem is single sim.

  • Great phone, light and easy to use.

  • Have bought 2 of these from ebay, each time assured they do predictive text in english. First one had only 3 manuals in 3 european languages and no english predictive text. second one, box had been opened to put a photocopy of the english manual, but still a foreign phone with no predictive text in english. Anyone know where to get english version without paying more than about 20 GBP please post here.

  • Can it do whatsapp?

  • A pretty nice phone it is but there are still so many nice features microsoft removed e.g the stopwatch a very useful. Another is the battery mine does not last I don't knw if it cos I dint charge to full b4 I started using it,but anyway it still a nice phone kudos 2 microsoft.

  • good basic phone with 2-3 days battery life!

  • 85? What do you mean? Btw, as far as I kno, its SAR is 0.74

  • I completely agree with all of this user's comments. I am an eager fan of the NOKIA 105, 2013, and expected the NOKIA 105, 2015 to be even better, in terms of battery performance and everything else. I must state categorically that I'm disappointed with the NOKIA 105, 2015, after owning it only for 10 days. For starters, the battery standby time is significantly less than for the 2013 version (and I have two of those, have had then for two to three months). Secondly, it's impossible to set it to Power Save Mode as is the case with the 2013 model. I should also agree with this user with respect to everything else he/she has referred to. Yes, indeed it does appear as if Microsoft Mobile aren't serious about continuing with Nokia's excellent quality for basic phones at low prices!Hope this gets solved fast!

  • Wow ! Great review with all the necessary informations. Keep up the good work. I am eagerly waiting for the next review . Cheers !

  • 85 SAR

  • What is the SAR value for this phone? Couldn't find it anywhere online. Users kindly reply. Thank you.

  • Small phone but big value for money...

  • I was looking for something to replace my 9-year-old Nokia 1600, which I was very fond of, but which apparently doesn't particularly like sitting in water for an extended period of time! :-( I did lots of research, and the reviews for the 2013 model of the Nokia 105 were very favourable, so I decided to get the new 2015 version as it boasted better call quality and battery life for calls. Positives: * Has a micro USB charging socket * Screen is clear * Speech clear * Light and compact * Keys tactile and easy to use * Has a torch * Combined d-pad/selection button easy to use. I was sceptical of this, but got used to it very quickly. I still prefer the "old" Nokia d-pad, though. * Build quality is decent enough Negatives: * Predictive text has got worse since the version on the Nokia 1600. For instance, pressing keys 9, then 3, results in "Wd" as the first suggestion. Really? I was brought up in an English-speaking country (namely, England), and this is the first time I've heard of this word :-p (The word I was looking for was "We", in case you were wondering). This is just one example of a general issue. I am used to texting very quickly on the Nokia 1600, so this issue is quite irritating. * Battery life is quoted as 35 days. With light use (~ 10 texts a day, 15-30 mins calls a day) and turning it off at night, the battery lasts barely more than a week. * Reception is apparently worse than on my 1600, at least if the "reception bar" display is anything to go by. Perhaps the reception being bad is the reason for the battery life being so much shorter than what is advertised. I haven't noticed the reception being worse in practical terms, only that fewer bars show on the display. * There is no way of altering the screen brightness. By default it is very bright, which is unwelcome if you are viewing the screen at night. * The phone book is more cluttered than on previous Nokia models (even the 2013 Nokia 105 is clearer). This is because instead of just showing you the name, or the name and number of the person, it also shows an icon to indicate whether the entry is stored on the SIM card or the phone, and there is no option to not show this. This cramps the display and leaves less space for stuff you actually want to see on a day-to-day basis. Seeing where a contact is stored is occasionally useful, but I don't need to see it on the main phonebook screen. * For some reason, even if you turn off the keypad tones, they remain when you enter numbers in an SMS by long-holding a button when in text input mode. All of the above looks to me like a phone which has the potential to be the next 3310 (iconic, solid and reliable), but which suffers from a lack of user testing. It feels like a rushed job, and a lot of the issues I have mentioned could be put right with a simple firmware upgrade. I wonder if Microsoft are too busy focussing on smartphones, and are starting to neglect those who just want a phone. I tried upgrading the firmware using Microsoft's Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but although it recognises the phone correctly, it says that there are no packages available for it. I have also had difficulties getting the microphone on my (wired) handsfree kit to work so far, but I have not had a chance to test the handsfree kit with another phone. I will try to update this review when I know if this is a problem with the phone itself or with the kit I am using. I am planning to get a 2013 Nokia 105. I am hopeful/confident that this will address most, if not all, of the problems above. If not, I'm off to find a second-hand Nokia 1600!

  • How do I block certain nos on this Foun, when I load a no.that I don't want to receive to Screening, it still let it ring, but on silence..I want it not to ring at all even on the other end, the caller. How do I go abwt coin that?

  • ''In a silent way'' these phones still exist!

  • nice phone

  • This is my current phone. I am so happy about it. It can last long up to 5 days even I am a light user.

  • Actually, you just have to wait for it to respond. You have to delete the messages as well.

  • For baby Smurfs...so cute and so small...

  • Really? You need magnifying glass to be able to read in that tiny 2.0 screen? You must have a very very poor eyesight? Lol

  • I was bought new nokia 2015 today, and then use it, but I've a problem, when I scrolling up/down my messages in inbox, this device always like scanning my messages,so I should waiting this phone scanning first and then scrolling up/down again, anybody know why it's happen? or this phone was like that from manufacturer? Thank you.

  • I just forget my security code for my Nokia 105

  • Hello. Is Nokia 105 (2015)'s phonebook multiple entry(home, mobile, office, fax, etc.)?

  • yes nokia 215 has calling recorder , during calling press option botton and choose menu then press on it then choose voice recorder and statr recording , when ending the call you will find it in records . i test this my self it's sure .

  • I very like this series of Nokia. You update more contact list (phonebook) to 2000 is great. It is greater than if you update phonebook to 5000 and connect to PC to update phonebook. Thanks! :))

  • Hi, Is Nokia 215 have Call Recording option. As u say that u r using this phone. If possible please reply.

  • I have a Nokia 105(2015) and have a flashing envelope on the screen and even though I have read all the messages it is still flashing. What does this mean? Thanks

  • Please tell me that how much number of sms can be stored in nokia 105(2015) inbox?

  • is there still voice leakage problemi.e voice can be heard through the speaker port too at the same time in this phone thanks

  • bar phones will not disappear. they are easier to use. i have bar phone and android phone. i use bar phone for everyday use. like calling and texting. the reason why more smartphones are sold now because feature phone are durable and you dont always have to change to the latest mpdel. my barphone is a nokia 6120. and it is 6 years old already.

  • This, or G4?

  • I bought a black Nokia 105 Dual Sim 3days ago, it works perfectly for me. The size is pretty good, texting is easy. What I like most is the 2000 contacts. It is a good back up phone. Small and lightweight. I recommend it for those who preferred text and call only.

  • can any one tell me that how much number of sms storage in nokia 105(2015)? Because the old version of Nokia 105(2013) had only 130 sms storage.

  • it's everywhere in Vietnam dude XD

  • Hey, Paul, 14.1mm isn't too thick. That's more than compensated for by its width, which is a lot smaller than any smartphone. Holding one of these old 2G phones with real keypads is very comfortable.

  • Lord knows why not at least 2.0 screen and 2mpx camera perhaps then ok

  • Is it possible in vietnam? I want a new one

  • I have a question to nokia.... world is moving towards slim bar phones and slim smart phones why is nokia still making 14.1mm thick brick bar phones, learn from samsung they make slim bar phones screen resolution is good. There was a time when nokia made 6300 model which was fabulous comfortable keypad ,camera, size, slim phone 9mm thick build quality hardware very good.nokia 215.130,225,108,107,105 n these cheap plastic cheap rubber keypad make noise tick tick ...learn to make something slim phones around 8mm thick with quality hardware.

  • a good choice of phone good for texting and making calls for along period of time :)

  • I'm 26 and use a flip phone. Not because I need it, but because I got tired of smartphones and their hassles. If I could get a good camera in a flip phone or candy bar phone, I'd be happy

  • that is right..specially old people are not good with touch displays...and they prefer softkey devices well...if they coukld put some decent hardware like 5 mpx along with led and a decent qhd display with 3inches atleast plus sd card...will be perfect and good for sale since old guys look for a decent camera too not only the candy bar plastic.

  • There are still many people need to use this kind of phone , but there's so many candybar phones have almost the same specs, so it will be great if Microsoft upgrade it. The important things is camera, LED flash, design and battery .

  • this basic phone is very good phone forever ... thanks Microsoft.

  • Cmon least 2.0 screen lol. Magnify glass to read.

  • When adult 90 LOL!

  • because it would outsell touchscreen phones, and that is not the way things are supposed to be.

  • You don't arrived yet to adult needs. One day you will realize of this :). When we are adult, our need get back to the simplest and basic one, beside we are handling the sophisticated smartphone too.

  • Dear Choko, When you've become an adult you'll probably value the simplicity of this phone!

  • Sir I Think you Need A Docter, or Get The Timemachine, dont expect these phone in todays world.

  • I'd expect that 800maH will last about 4 days. But if you were a light user, you'd get more out of it though.

  • still 800mAh?? for minimalist secondary phone should have more battery capacity..

  • At the moment I am looking for a candy-bar phone with 12 MP with LED Flash too because its easy to keep it in pocket. The important point is: phone should be light, thin, good battery and solid. I trust the quality of Nokia / Microsoft products.

  • Nokia guys is dead after n8 &808 pureview

  • At the moment I am looking for a candy-bar phone with 12 MP with LED Flash too because its easy to keep it in pocket. The important point is: phone should be light, thin, good battery and solid. I trust the quality of Nokia / Microsoft product because I use the latest Nokia 215 I notice that it is much better than the previous phone especially It doesn't have voice leakage {like nokia 101}, no problem about battery , multi lingual supported. .Opera mini runs so good even on 2G, but however it cannot compare with smart phone, just use it for secondary or alternative phone. Please Nokia provide us more choices that we can purchase your next high class candy bar phone with best camera , wifi ect. . .I really don't want to go for another models, because I think that Nokia is expert by making candybar phone. from Nokia lover

  • just .......(lol) why?.

  • As a basic mobile consumer (some Samsung E1200 or something), i think its always good to have a cheap choice for consumers whose only need to do the basic comunications. But seriously, why launching forks after forks, since the specs are the same?

  • @ nokia lover, You are so right. I really miss the golden days of Nokia. I would be very happy if Nokia made a Series 40 candybar phone that has a 12 MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics. It would be a great seller.

  • This is not Nokia neither is the 215 you have a look at the sticker inside the phones behind battery it says Microsoft Mobile.

  • Why should i buy this 105 single sim when, for the same money i can get a Samsung E1280 or a Nokia 130 - which have a bigger screen ? Nokia 105v1 105v2 108 130 are in the same price range. And only 130 is a viable solution.

  • Is this from Nokia or Microsoft

  • I have supported Nokia all the time and i'm getting bored with those stupid phones, why do we need this Nokia 105 when there are 215, 301, 208, 106 etc...Why don't you make a good candybar phone like the N series with good camera and wifi instead of releasing every year the same shit....
