Nokia 6150 - User Reviews

  • Had to take it out of the drawer, for a couple of days last year as my main smarphone died and for fun with youngsters in the office (Yes, we have colleagues, now, who were born in 1997). The sound quality and volume are unmatched by any of the smarphones I have used in the past 10 yers - iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, Nexus 5 X, Note 4, Xperia Z. I repeat - Unmatched. Far superior that is. Period. On the one hand, maybe due to the demand for smaller, thinner etc. devices, they cannot stick in there such a speaker. On the other hand, speakers should have advanced in the past 20 years, yes? Oh, well. Nothing is made to last anymore.

  • I got a problem wit the power supply.

  • I want to use this !!

  • The last firmware update (5.23) brought T9 text (semi predictive) to this epic phone. Still have one and I'm still using it. Got an iphone 5 at home for all these services that nowadays is almost impossible to use without a smartphone (bank-apps among others). But for calls and when I'm out and about this is it. Charging it on sundays. :-)

  • yeah , i just started up my old 6150 and it still works , i bought this phone in 1999 good old stuff

  • remove the battery, there are 4 T6 screws on the rear case remove these and lift the front cover off from the bottom of the phone

  • Can anyone tell me how to remove the front face/cover on the 6150. I have one but I tried to remove it but I think I broke something inside it. not sure but I'm really scared of breaking something in it u know its rare to find one....plz tell me step by step how to take it off. thanks email me plz: [email protected]

  • Maybe the best phone I ever had. I recently tested it.The battery is now 17 years old and still works good and phone works well. But of course this is made in Finland.

  • Can anyone tell me if this phone has predictive text?

  • Retro!

  • Moved to my old 6150 from a Nexus 4. Works like a dream for calls and nobody can spy on you ;)

  • amazing

  • ahh... nostalgia.. I miss my old phone. lol

  • I have one of these, it still works like a dream. The battery has gotten loose, but it's never dropped a call and I've never had a problem with hearing what the other person was saying.

  • iam looking for buy new battery for it as soon as possible

  • This is my first phone my aunt gave me, I love, I have to ask a local phone shop tech to change the housing, removing the antenna and changing the covers for $6.00 every month. Man, that was my high school days way back 13 years ago.. got the best phone in our class, mono tone and cool SMS feature, and the SIM card was like $38.00-now you can buy for 50 cents.

  • aq jek tas oleh....hapene apik tenAN REK..................

  • One of the very first phones that I have used when I was in college 10 years ago. One of the best as well.

  • ...i had it for 9 years. Still working very well. my battery lasts up to 4 days. Wouldnt trade my phone for anything...

  • Got this phone when other colour screen mobiles were on the Market already. I equipped with li-polymer battery from 6310i. Mine is in very good condition still works perfectly! When writing SMS it's a bit annoying that it's not swapping the capital letters automatically. Of course it's not a big problem. Cool phone! I'm going to surprise people when I'll appear with my 6150 among the iPhones :)

  • I got this one at 2002, bought for my grandfather. Still working.

  • My oldest phone, got it in 2001 and still using it now and still works well :D and very durable too... throw it a couple of times at the neighbors stupid dog that wont stop barking... and still the phone survives .... peace ......

  • this is very old phone:)

  • The one I used to have is now used by my parents. It works quite well as far as I know. At least they make calls with it...

  • This was my first mobile bought in early 2000. 2nd best phone I owned. (6310i being the best).

  • My very first phone. drop it 20x still working until now hehehehe

  • 15,980Php! 1st Quarter of 1999., thats a lot of money back then..

  • The Nokia 6150 was 'THE' phone at it's time! Calendar, Alarm Clock heck, even games! That was totally awesome for 1998. It was a state of the art business phone! I almost threw mine away because it was very badly scratched, but actually you can just replace the cover with a new/better one. The inside were still 100% ok. It has a new battery. Who knows maybe it can take the next 10 years... :-)

  • It's still working! :) No any single problem encountered during years and years of usage... Although it's my backup phone, just for those cases when it's too danger to take any new device, it still works and looks as a new one. Outstanding sound quality :)

  • this my first phone, it was so sick!! mine had a mahogany case and flashing aerial.....and snakes and back then mono ringtones. awsome

  • this was my first phone and so far this is still the durable phone for me ever.

  • I owned one, and it was stolen. Now I purchased this phone as my second mobile (used for prepaid). It is still great! (I'm using Nokia E70 as my primary mobile, and I plan to switch to an iPhone 3G S/32G soon).

  • great phone.just a phone but a good phone

  • my 2nd mobile last 2k1, frustrated from my 1st mobile 3210 which was lost on the same year, with infrared & battery really lasts for more than 2 days call time. hope to have it again as my old school collection.

  • I chased the burglar because of this phone.. but my 6150 was gone... thats my sad love story with my 6150

  • Interested in selling it?

  • Does this phone work in the USA?

  • I still have my 6150 at home. Although I'm not using it anymore but it still works.

  • i envy this phone so much when i was about 15 years old only back then my phone was 5110, im planning to buy it as a collection

  • this was my first phone back when i was in th grade...i have the maroon or dark red one...i miss this...

  • my standby phone. up until now, it still works. had it for 5 years already

  • One of the most durable phones I have ever used.It was the second mobile that I have owned and it is still going nearly 10 years later. Call quality is just amazing even by todays standards and the BPS-2 slim battery that I have fitted courtesy of Ebay lasts around a week on standby. It was never intended as a texting phone first and foremost, but as a reliable telephone that is car kit and headset friendly, it is truely an awesome tool and they really dont make 'em like it any more. I defy todays all singing Nokias to be still standing in 10 years time !!!

  • 10 years and still going strong... it came with my mercedes (no prank, C-class dealer carkit) and they both keep on going!

  • Google search around - there are companies that sell replacement screens. Otherwise buy a second hand phone and do it yourself - it just slots in - I did it with mine.

  • I've owned mine for ten years - even dropped it in a hot cup of tea by accident once - took it to bits, dried it out no problem - bet you can't do that with the new ones! Very nearly indestructible! Why follow fashio with a new phone every five minutes when you can be fashionably "Retro" :)

  • I really love this cellphone.. Although there are some new brands of nokia where released.. I still have my Nokia 6150. Its 10 years and still working..

  • Best phone i ever had !, Great easy to use to

  • I started my Nokia 6150 (I used it 2 yrs ago) and when i make a phone call I dont seem to hear anything or when somebody calls me, I also dont hear anything. Everything else works fine. And all the game sounds and ringtones I can hear. Help please!

  • Fine phone. If you want a phone that just works, then just go and get the Nokia 6150!

  • my 1st fone... n my cloze fren when im in college.. classic memory..

  • The second best model Nokia ever made after 6310i.

  • i had this phone since 1999 till present (2007). has been dropped so many times and still is working. the most durable and reliable phone ever. not much feature but just use the basic: messaging, call & alarm clock :)

  • great phone!but had this problem, the cover is damaged and so the LCD fades and automatically switches off. is there any chance for me to repair it? i feel comfortable using this than any other modern phones today

  • This was my first phone. I still have it. I cannot power it on anymore

  • This used to be the ultimate business workhorse. Virtually unbreakable with excellent battery life and sound quality. Since moving out of Europe meant different frequencies, I left it at home. Otherwise, I'd be proud to show it around to all who complain about their latest tech stuff (and it's mid-2007 now).

  • This is the first ever cell phone i hv bought,i still have with myself and its still working, its quite awesome, since then i m buying only nokia brand phone

  • LOL my grandma is using this phone. That fact makes me laugh a bit.HA HA HA Well good phone no doubt (for people of her age) she says that it is the only phone in which she can see buttons and numbers.

  • 1. This tool is good for talking. 2. Ive solved THIS displayproblem... 3. Open the phone(carefully) and put bit of paper between "metalhold" of the LCD display... and yours screen wbe ok

  • Hi! So happy to see this site about this great cellphone. I've had one for several years now - even used it everyday, when working as a truckdriver! It's the best! Recently, I bought a new phone - a Nokia 5140i; but I had to get rid of it again... It was much to slow to use because of all those menues, - and also the keys (the whole phone) was much too small for me... I have one small problem though: When I'm not using the phone, the display tends to fade somewhat. The text comes back, when I press slightly beyound the display. Anyone who knows, what is causing this problem?

  • I was suprised to hear from one of my client's that he is using this phone he said it work's like a bomb and he is happy with it.....I sold mine many years ago but sorry that I did because I am not happy with these new phones they fo-ever going in for repairs.

  • I've searched this phone for several years bcoz it's difficult to find it in Indonesia.I got it and I use it everyday.it's good rather than 3310 or 3315.luckly it has calendar and infrared.unfortunately the cover can't be customised.

  • i find this phone very nice! My father had been using this phone for 6 years) and it's still working) but my mom is actually using it now. There were problems with display=it was fixed. So, I say NOT BAD!

  • Hey, I'm still using it as my only cell phone I have and it works OK. Only the display sometimes fades a bit. Got it as a present from a friend who used it since 1999.

  • my 8th phone. very sturdy. cool coz it had infrared. no problems with this phone. just that i couldn't customize the cover. overall it was great!

  • class along with the 6310i one of the best nokia;s ever made still good in 2005 new battery and screen works like a gem / older nokias better the new ones my opinion /

  • what does it mean when the model name is written like "6150 SAT"

  • Its ok, slim battery, lite, press and hold select, comes up with more menu, handles 2 calls at same time, calender good, simple to use, reception weak, easy 2 take apart, user graphic symble's, mine was 1st sold 1999, now 2005, still works no problems, charge once a week, 6210 ultra slim battery.

  • This is a good second phone, reliable and tough, calender is excellant, signal strength is poor compared to phones with no ariels, for its age though, good features for its time.

  • this is my lucky phone! since ive used it i never ran out of money

  • I had 7 phones from nokia, and I have to say this was my favorite!I had one in 1999 and Its really cool!

  • i had mine in 1999..i love it so much, it was stolen when i was busy playing bowling with my frens.. the problem is, it is too big to fit in my front pocket..after that i remind myself not to buy big phones..hmm.. i'll 9300 instead 9500 next month...

  • its a better phone compare to nokia 5110 because of its features....but the problem is the cover how can i raplace the cover of my phone?

  • Owned one of these once, Not happy with it...It was given to me by dad. The buttons were hard, I think a Nokia 5110 is better than this! I went back to my 3210 that i had at the time because I hated the 6150 so much!I gave it to mum as her phone broke and she even hated it. Not a good phone. 0/10

  • this set is not good and not up to my standard. so changed the style and improve this for our convinence.

  • ------------------------------ Wasn't me the one that wrote the previous comment. Some guy just loves my name.. :)) ------------------------------ But this still is a good phone :))

  • & more ... it's cool. Long live Nokia.

  • I haven't tried it myself, but friends say that it is very very good!

  • cool phone!

  • perfect phone.. battery lasts forever.. id change 2 things, lack of vibrating alert, and remove the aerial.. in short, buy the 6210 (although it doesnt feel as solid)

  • I love the phone. I've used my 6150 for half a year now and don't even think of replacing it with something better. The price/quality relation is great. Only thing missing is a built-in vibration, but this can be repaired by replacing the battery (but the battery doesn't seem to wear out!).

  • Very Gooood

  • hello can u send some information about nokia 6150
