I've this phone over 4 years. Nice pic quality n resolution, good sound both in headset n speaker, good looking, compact n nice camera quality. But poor in battery life n talktime. Browsing speed is too slow n it switches off during browsing. It hangs on 4 GB memory card. In short it's an average phone. I give 5 out of 10 marks for this phone.

I have used it for 4 years now, and even today, on Feb 2012 i think it is a great looking phone. Stylish, fast, easy to use for calls, messaging, calendar and as music player. It even plays some MP4 files, but music only - video manages to show only couple frames per second. The display has very fine resolution and colors. I must point out nice design of menu themes in Prisma design style, and smart layout for SMS, calendar shortcuts. I think that central joystick, is better on 7900, as it that is hard to use with wet finger, nail or glove, but it is ok on once you get used to it. The numpad keys are actually very convenient to use, I achieved very quick SMS writing speed although design would suggest othervise. It is quite a hard unit, as it didn't fail me for these 4 years being dropped quite often. The software works fast with no glitches, though SMS inbox/outbox started to delay opening for 5-10 secs when total amount reached 8 thousands in total, I guess deleting older SMS will solve it. Battery life 2-3 days, Listening to music all day will empty it till evening. For BL-2B battery size it is acceptable. I am temporary using Nokia E66. It is newer and smarter phone, steel casing and so on... but apart from some apps that I do not use, larger display, I can surely say that for call/SMS/callendar/Music functions my prism 7500 is much better. The camera though is very poor even on a sunshine, but hey - there is no place for bigger lense on that small phone with that weight. Now it's on display repairs, and I ordered new case and battery as I am looking forward to continue to using it. P.S. The "girly version" Nokia 7070 Prism flip phone has very compact size, and keys designed for using with long nails, but technically not comparable to Nokia 7500 Prism.

My aunt bought this phone for me way-back year 2009 month of March.. Now it doesn't look as nice as before but still it's beautiful! :) it only has few minor scratches at the screen lots of orange dots on the silver trim, the silver trim next to the earpiece has already faded a bit and my color accents are peeled but i already buy a paint for it to look as good as new.. the metal on the strap already turned into orangy-to-gray color but it's ok for me since it's just a part of the strap and not the phone itself.. the shiny part of the back cover also peeled but i bought a new one and just removed the local diamond camera metal plate and placed the original ones.. last is the soft rubbery sides also peeled but thank God that behind it is also color black.. :) I really love this phone! ^_^ and even though i have a N73 M.E. and K850i cyber-shot i still love it.. I wanted to see it also sitting beside my future phones, the N97, N8, N9, C7, LG BL40 New Chocolate, X7, and Nokia Sea Ray.. ^_^ Thank you Nokia.. ^_^

I am using this 7500 prism. I record songs in this cell. It is in 'amr' format. I convert this to 'mp3'. Such converted mp3 file is playing in PC; but not in CD/DVD player. I used Nero and copied through 'Audio CD'. In this it is copied in CD and the CD player plays. But an usual mp3 file which is about 4 MB size, is found to be about 45 MB in this audio CD file. Can any one help me? Is there a software which converts 'amr' file to mp3 file, which could be copied in CD in 'data file' mode and could be played in CD player. Thanks.

Great phone .I have it since 2007 and is still working as new .Original battery is working 2 days with normal usage (arround 20-30 minutes talking /day) I've instaled a lot of java aplications and everything works ok . Photos are ok , videos could be better . I've canged 4 cases until now and I need the 5th one very soon. Is a very good phone and worths his price!

yeah you're right the battery is the only glitch of this phone,,the rest is good. i guess this phone would have been nicer if equipped with 3G & secondary camera. I wish i could directly say it to nokia manufacturers. to all users of this nokia phone: create your ovi and my nokia account.i already created an account there..also don't forget to install the Nokia PC Suite..it is very useful..i myself tried and tested it.. ;p

bout the sound/music quality,, it's fine and definitely one of nokia's best because its sound quality is excellent compare with N95 8GB.. it isn't as loud as the N73..anyway,,but when it comes to sound clarity,,7500 Prism wins..N73 is just loud.. its sound quality is like that of the 6300's but this is much louder,clearer and fantastic.. ;p you can also change the music player theme..they are all beautiful depending on the taste of us all here,,i'm currently using the magnetic music player theme because it is simple and its clor "gray and black" makes the 2.0 inches screen bigger.. other questions so far?hehe.. add me up in friendster and facebook.. nokia has already started to make fun of people. what happened to the quality? the phones made by nokia are just crap.and i say that although i am a nokia user and fan.they are crap in terms of construction.the cases of the fones are made out of cheap plastic and the paint is a shame.it peels off in a few weeks.yesterday i pealed off the plastic film from the dysplay of my 7500 prism and by the end of the day there were already a few light scraches on the dysplay.and the paint on the plastic rim under the battery cover remained without the blue paint after one removal of the battery cover. it'a shame. i can live with the software mistakes and chea dysplais...but that's it.no more nokias.i'm turning to blackberry.they seem to rule

You can go for 3120c(Rs 7310/-). This phn is stylish. This phn hs same features of 7500p nd also it hs 3G nd flash as bonus. Its fast. Battery back up nd performance is better than 7500p. If u r music lover u can go for 5310xm. Ur range is upto 10k then go for 3600s(Rs 9300/-) or 5320xm(Rs 10050/-).

This phone is amazing! I've had it since summer 08, cost me �169 on meteor. Obviously, this phone stands out from the crowd. It looks different yet is very functional and is as easy to use as any Nokia phone. Pros: .Looks .Camera is surprisingly good for a 2MP and the flash is functional. .Easy to use .Resistant (dropped dozens of times) .Message memory massive. Cons: .Below average battery life. Needs a charge every day. .Does tend to take a while to load up messages and freezes during some applications, namely while watching videos. I'd reccomend this phone. It still looks modern and the software is as up to date as any Nokia of age. Good luck finding one though!

I like Nokia phones. They have always out performed other phones when you leave the city centre, but this one isn't as good as the 1100 it replaced (Range wise) the battery life could be better too. The buttons were fiddly at first. All in its a good phone but it could be better. Nokia's design quality has taken a nose dive on this one

I had this phone for about 9 months. I accidently dropped it in water! I'm looking to by another one and i think i might go for the same model. The only problems i had was that it automatically deleted my contacts once, luckily i had them backed up, also the 'paint-work' (i suppose it's called!) rubbed off after a while. If you're looking for a phone for everyday use, this is perfect. Sometimes when i was rushing, the keys were difficult to press because of the shape of them, but this was, overall, the best phone i have ever had!

This phone is simply bad. The joystick is the worst. You actually have to use your fingernails and push it from the side to operate the joystick. Infact its not a joystick its a sorrowstick.

got it recently, the design rather modern elegant all black, not screaming with colours, the diamond cuts are less visible than predicted, the screen is amazing which was a nice surprise; i love the little colour accents inserts too gives the phone a subtle change; don't mind the joystick really; price is reaaly good pn pay and go at carphone; original, has enough feauters for me and simply love the design

d design is gud nd it looks gud but it is not gud for advanced featuers...d fone gets restarted sumtimes nd then takes a lot of time to start...i hav problems to syncronise it with my e90...it is a simple fone for simple features ...u cannot use it too much...u can hear a bit of music nd take photos ...but be careful with it dont handle it tooo much

7500 Prism is a good option if you are not looking for much features. Good display and sounds is not bad. Quite fast and impressive design! What I don't like is the battery life... For normal use you need to recharge it every day.

hey gyus, well most of u have a problem of battery with 7500 rite?....so i ot di soluttion if u do dis your fone will never trouble u for the battery all u have 2 do is switch your fone off(wen it is fully charged),den u put your fone for charging wen off and let it charge for 4 hours continuously..... and remember you shud charge it wen the battery is full and your fone is switched off and for 4 hours continuously den guys u will be amazed wen u c dat your fone dosent trouble u about its battery carge time..... mark my word thanks..

I bought it one month ago. it does not have any problem with the software kinda 5200. Its battery its about 2 days with high usage(bluetooth transfer, game play, video/music play) Loving it. A little sceptic about thedirection key evetrhough i havent had any problem yet. Buy it!!

very good phone.I've been using it from december 2007 .Design is very nice also tha main fetures.Pictures are very clear and the disply looks a high qulity.Also the glass that protect screen is very good quality and it seems to can't scratch it.I 've installed a lot of things on it (java aplicatios as games , messenger etc ) and everithig works perfect. Only "problem " is the battery that has a life of 2-3 days ( so not very bad) I consider it deserves 8,5 ( at 1 to 10 )

I wld suggest not to buy this model; I purchased it and very disappointed. The battery will last for 24 hours only for regular incoming and outgoing calls, forte using other features. Also the se could not catch radio freq in mumbai. I had been to the nokia dealer also for repair / replacement but pathetic service; firstly wait for minimum 3 hours for your number to come and sfter that the feedback by the customer service agent. The only good (wld say best) is the picture quality - too good. So friends decide what for u want to buy - calls then don't go for it; for picture quality - yes you may but then why a mobile better buy a digital camera!!!

all the nokia 7 series phones are basicly for style. For example 7270, 7373, 7390, 7370,7900 and so on. most of the designs are glassy and smooth.So i gues you can say they are a bit feminine. Im not sure if this phone has side volume keys but if it doesnt then try the joystick (up and down or sideways) to increase the volume

I've been using my prism now for almost 2 weeks already and I'm so happy that I got this phone. It's not a perfect phone coz' it has its own cons, which for some may be highly aggravating! Before I give my review for this phone, just wanted to say to Hindustani that I didn't acquire this phone by asking money from my dad! FYI, I earned it myself. I saved up my own money just to buy the phone that I want! So you know, I did not buy this phone just because it looks classy and unique. I read reviews about the phone first, I read the manual by downloading it from the Nokia website, and I read its specs & features if it has some of the important things that I want. So you see, I'm not just a dumb, show-off buyer! I quit arguing with senseless minds who thinks they're better than everyone and stereotypes people around him!!! :P ___________________________________ Here's what I think about my phone: ----------------------------------- Design: Its unique design just simply screams out elegance and sophistication! Some may hate it and some may love it. Not everyone may think it looks beautiful! Although the keypads are awkwardly shaped, they're quite comfortable to use! However, if your fingers are wet and oily, it's hard to use the joystick! There's a simple solution to that, WIPE YOUR FINGERS CLEAN AND DRY! :) Screen: The quality of the screen is just AMAZING!!! I've never seen an LCD so crisp and clear!!!! The colors are so vibrant and precise! I downloaded pictures from my digital camera to my phone and they look exactly the same as they looked on my desktop's LCD monitor. Sound: The quality of the sound is very very clear. The speakers are not very loud though! If you place mp3s with higher bit rates, they would sound a little bit louder than compressed mp3s.. If you try to compress your mp3s, I suggest not to go lower than 96Kbps.. Operating System: The new S40 operating system of the 7500 prism is a breeze!!! It loads up everything so fast compared to S60 phones and older versions of S40. Battery: Like everyone said, the battery is a total drag!!!! It drains up really fast.. It's because of the LCD that contains 16Million colors and its brightness set always to maximum! If only the brightness can be adjusted, then it could lessen the battery consumption. Overall, the phone is awesome!!! I have no regrets whatsoever.. Let's just hope Nokia fixes the battery problem! Sony Ericsson has better batteries!!!! They last longer.. :)

Hi people, Hope u all are fine.. A very short review on this phone. Letz start with the disavantages so that atleast I can end this review on a positive note. The battery life is really horrible. Be prepared to charge the battery frequently if you are using the phone often. With regards to the mp3 player, the speaker soud output is jus OKAY, not all that great, but itz jus fine for people who are really not very concious of having very loud volume turned on while listening to music. The 2 mp cam that has a flash, is on par with other 2 megapixel cam on nokia phones. Now incase ur planning to buy this phone, itz ur decison. Please do Consider the above mentioned GENUINE FACTS & come to a conclussion. Cheers!!

I think the phone looks great..I've been using it for about a month and i don't have many complaints against it...The sound quality is awesome though it could have been a bit louder..The camera works fine without zoom...But i get pretty hazy pics when i zoom in...Other than that...it is a really cool phone and i have no idea how people find it ugly!!

I purchased newly introduced Prism-7500model of Nokia on 7/10/2007. Till today i.e on 17/10/207, I have noticed the following problems with it. 1. I do S.M.S, out of ten SMS only 5/6 are sent by it. In 4/5 cases, after its sending, these are not even traceable either in sent folder nor drafts folder or any other folder. And receivers also confirms that they had not received any SMS. Nor any delivery report is there. The whole message go missing. 2. Speed dials behave very unpredictable. If I push/dial no.3 digit, telephone number fed at 6 no. starts dialing. If digit 6 is dialed/pushed the number fed at 9 or 2 would be dialed. However, please note that it makes mistake only during first attempt and does not repeat the mistake at second time, if the same number is pushed again. 3. If a call is on, and in between some call comes. After the call is finished, the miss call number would not be there on the screen. If you are too busy in talking, the person calling in between get annoyed if he does not get a call back. And I am unable to call him as I never knew that in between there was some call. It's not a phone. Not really. It's a please-look-at-me accessory for people suffering from ADD -- Attention Deficit Disorder. The design is solely based on a simple concept -- tattoos can't be done on the palms. I'm going to buy my Nokia 7500 Prism tomorrow!! I'm so excited.. I got to test it out earlier this evening at the store where I'm going to buy it.. It's really unique but it looks elegant and formal.. The unusual shapes incorporated to this phone really catched my attention.. a little twist from the usual could never hurt right? :) i think the curves and diamond-like cuts gave the phone a little more funky look.. elegant and funky at the same time.. ironic but that's how I see the phone! I had to choose between 7500 Prism and 6300, but I chose 7500 Prism because it has a 512MB memory card and an LED flash for the camera.. whereas the 6300 comes with a 128MB memory card only and it doesn't have an LED flash.. I tried out the music player, the sound is quite loud enough to be heard.. the screen is bright and very very clear!!! I was having a little problem with the joystick.. when I push it, I can't hear any clicking sound nor can I feel it when I press the joystick.. It's not too hard to push it, but it's better to hear or feel the clicking so that you will know that have already pushed it.. :) other than that, it looks and feels awesome! I can't wait for tomorrow.. hehe..

During a corporate "hospitality" tour to Bangalore I was set up to be "extra friendly" with a mid-age Project Manager of a multi billion USD IT company. After we finished our 1st session of "severe friendliness" I got to check out his Prism for 20 minutes. And then once again he offered me his "baseball bat". My conclusion: This is not a phone for people in their fifties. His body was awesome and so was his phone. But those two didn't mix. Even his excellent "techniques" couldn't incorporate the phone to the fiftyish age group.

I dared to buy it yesterday though saw lots of bashing about it. Honestly, the piece looks sleakish and stylish. The mp3 clarity is good as well. However, I have 2 questions. a) Have anyone tried playing mp4 movie songs? The specifications says it supports mp4 apart from 3gpp, but the music player doesnt seem to play them b) Is this a MASCULINE or FEMININE phone? Design looks masculine but all ad's seems to show females carrying around...Not sure being a MAN, I should have it or gift it to my girlfriend ;) ;)

I have had this phone a few days now in white. The screen brightness is great (i had a 7390 & this was very dim) The ringing volume is loud when on max number 5 & i have a hearing problem. The menu is more or less the same as the 6280, 6288, 7370, 7373. 6233. 6230 except for a couple of extra bits like setting wallpaper it asks if you want to crop, rotate, re scale before setting. I love the design & like the fact you can change the accent colour around the phone. With the black set you get a blue, green & pink. With the white set you get a green, red & purple accents. I have a 1gb memory card in mine & it work very quickly when opening files up. The battery is the same as all nokia mobiles poor but i always buy a spare battery & desktop charger so i always have a fully charged battery ready to use on the mob. Mine being white its not as shiny as the black so im not having any problems with finger marks which is great. So far im very happy with this mobile. Its going to be 1 of those phones you either love or hate & i love mine.

I am a proud owner of Prism! This phone is very slick, gives you exactly what a 6300 does but has a better look to it. The battery gives you easy 2 days of usage, which is good compared to my previous phone (n95). It is a bit of a marmite phone, you either like it or you dont? This is a great phone according to its normal size,great shape/look n light in weight...But it has two problems 1. It shows pixels in indore light even with flash (common in all nokia mobiles 2. When u r viewing a song in full screen mode even in most high quality it shows frames (common in all nokia S40 mobiles except 6233)... I know no one can solve my first problem but if any geniuess can solve my second problem i'll be very much thankfull of him/her...

super performance phone is my opinion. this is one of the better phones by nokia i have classified as to who should buy this phone and who shouldnt. but first the plusses and the minuses. minuses (negatives) 1)battery is pathetic same as 6300 2)earpiece is a bit funny as u have to place it properly to hear perfectly (maybe could b becos i have small ears) 3)joystick is a bit too hard for easy and fast movement also it is protruding out so a bit of problem like k750i plusses (positives) 1) superb looks the looks get u in the first instant u see the phone. 2) the lcd screen the display blows your brains away no better display in any phone any brand in this price range. 3) the sound quality is very good better than sont ericsson in the same price range. both the internal speaker and the handsfree.handsfree is the same as 6300. 4) this phone has flash so night pics cone good. 5) charges very fast in one hour u can charge ur phone. 6) cone with strap and some changeable colour rings. 7) net connectivity speeds are super atleast 20% better than any other comparable phone. 8) comes with a super styled pouch. 9) quite a sleek phone although not as sleek as the 6300 but fits nicely in the hand. 10) comes with a 512mb card in india. now who shouldnt own this phone 1) people who value utility over looks 2) people who want battery life to be over a day. who should own this phone 1) fashion people who want to make a style and brain statement. 2) people who are having eyesight problems as this has got a very clear display and big numerals. 3) people who thought the display of 6300 was too bright. 4) who want better net speeds. well i was enchanted 2much by the model and bought it immediately. b.r bhavesh

What kind of design is this?? Look at the damn tiny triangular keys, definitely not for men fingers. Or, I guess the keys are probably good for those who has nails & tiny fingers. Plus, the entire shell is a fault. All these grids on front & back, easy to trap dust/dirt. More, this thing would look better if the bottom corners are not cut off. I understand it's supposed to match the triangle keys, but with the bottom corners being cut off has not meaning & completely messed up the design.

It has eyecaching design. Very stylish!!!! Plastic finish is done great, glossy and shiny.. very nice!!! Excellent choice if you need s40 phone. Very fast, very well orginised, playing music loud and clear... Keypad is so easy to use... even if it looks like its hard it's not... My votie is 10/10 for everything , from design to feutures.

I just bought one just for the design. Not everyone likes it, it's just a matter of taste. Nokia usually makes ugly designs, but this I think is an exception. Gone is that horrible rocker pad, replaced by a 'sony' type joystick (i love em). And gone too is that horrible frame around the keypad. Screen is very high quality, especially good for bright sunlight. Performance is better than expected. Good value for money.

That means people love nokia's design and features, love nokia's different design, from which everybody can choose what he wants. its about time all these brands start looking more into design because technologically things will gradually upgrade one way or the other anyway. More money in R&D of design will guarantee a much needed enhancement in the tech devices of today. Nokia is on the right path, yes this sports a controversial design, but its got a fresh feel to it. And well, those who dont want this can get the 6233 or 6300, why cry about it? I for one will get it, the angular theme is really cool, and it will stand out. whats funny is if this model was all rounded and curvy ppl wouldve accepted it easily (lack of uniqueness and acceptance of aesthetic standardization). Yes its a fashion statement with good hardware, if you dont believe in 'fashion' and 'style', then stop drooling over ferraris, wearing cool sunglasses and adopting clothing styles as society depicts.

Ok i like this phone, only because it's different. There is just something about the design of the phone which catches they eye. I wouldn't mind seeing one up close and play around with it to see waht it's like. Hopefully Rogers Wireless here in Canada get's that phone....it would be pretty sweet. Stop kidding yourself, with Chinese input to break into market they previously failed to? Don't say something you don't know, all Nokia handsets sold in HK, Taiwan & PRC have those Chinese input characters printed on it since they first introduced that input method in 8210, so if my memory serves me right it was 1998. Asian market has long been a major success of Nokia, that chinese input simply has nothing to do with breaking into market they have already successed, it just has something to do with this picture very likely came from HK/Taiwan/PRC. Back to the phone, don't like the look of it, don't think it would make a big success even I am a big Nokia fan.

the white lines are actually strokes for inputing chinese characters, this would generally mean this pic is of a hong kong model (cantonese) as mandarin speakers generally use pinyin input

The white lines on the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 buttons are writing marks in the language they speak in Singapore...I'm in the US, and the guy that I bought my N95 from was from Singapore and got it there, and my N95 has those lines on the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 buttons, too.

Another Nokia Phone.. I got the SE K790i and it rocks.. Awesome phone.. I do doubt the camera quality of nokia's.. No true pictures at all.. Too much 'wow' effect.. But then Nokia has the reputation for durability.. but with this design they have lost it..

This is quite of very good design but Nokia should have at least put some features like WLAN, 3G or even HSDPA, GPS, 3MP or 5MP camera, or even 3D stereo speakers to make it realy a concept phone. This is like putting a futuristic cover to a N6300 phone and then call it the new N7500 Prism!!?!!

Eric : You will be able to have Nokia Aeon in your hand in this coming years. The development of concept is there today, so it will be realistic for everyone soon. However, people might have to spend lots of money on sooner coming models before they can actually spend on Nokia Aeon. The temtation is getting too high these days.

I agree- very ugly indeed. What were Nokia thinking! Maybe if it is like the sirocco and it is highly priced, Nokia can shift some units. However if it is a mid range phone, I dont think it will sell very well.
