HP Elite x3 - User Reviews

  • Worth it I don’t think so it’s sad , just got update early it’s great phone and OS

  • I have had the HP elite X3 windows phone for about a year with no issues, it is the best phone I have had, very secure good support from HP and a dream to use. After December when windows stops servicing their mobile platform we shall see what happens as I believe HP will come up with a solution and keep the Elite X3 going. Personally I don't like android as it is not secure, full of rubbish which in the main is useless as are most of the apps being loaded to it therefore it must be asked do we need a phone or a toy to play games ? then the answer is we need a secure phone that is secure of which windows was. Looking forward I do hope HP win the challenge to have the X3 working beyond December and into the future, it surely is a smart phone that has it all.

  • hp wanted to continue and had major plans but when ms killed it they were heavily disappointed

  • Thanks Facebook for stop development by disabling Facebook browser, messenger and Instagram app. There is a lot of other solutions. Without original Faceboko app this is the most secure phone in the world :)

  • You are right. HP and Microsoft don't care about this phone. Mine sometimes freeze. This is my second device. The first one died although I used it carefully. Microsoft adviced users to moove forward with android or iPhone. I still using this mobile for Mail and multimedia purposes only. My daily phone is android mobile.

  • Honestly, no. It's not worth it. New app development is almost nonexistent for Windows 10 Mobile, old apps are slowly losing support (i.e., Viber has now stopped supporting the phone), mobile MS Office is a joke and HP is doing nothing to support the phone or give it the lifespan it deserves. I've returned two phones under warranty, and it's been made clear to me that HP would prefer that this phone never existed in the first place; I'm pretty sure they consider it an embarrassment. Windows 8 and 10 Mobile had the potential to be great, but like every other thing Microsoft has attempted to do from a hardware perspective (I.e., MS Router, Zune, Nokia phones, etc...) it's failed miserably. I suppose you could argue that the Xbox is the one exception, but Microsoft consistently sells short their customers by giving up on hardware by pulling software support before their products even have a chance to make it out of the crib. The HP phone is a failure because Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile is a failure. It's no longer supported, so don't waste your time. It'd be like buying a newer laptop with Windows 95 running on it.

  • I use it in 2019 and my girlfriend, we are happy with this phone, its best W10 phone, only don't have Viber calls, everything else work perfect ;)

  • Is it worth using HP elite X3 in 2019? And does windows 10 store offers new and updated apps for smart user experience?

  • It's very unlikely that this new version of Windows will be made available as an upgrade for any existing ARM-based phones that initially ran Windows 10 Mobile.

  • Microsoft will be ending all support for Windows 10 Mobile (the version of Windows 10 that was designed to run in mobile phones, including the HP Elite x3) on December 10, 2019. Windows 10 for PCs and laptops is on a support cycle, with support for each edition lasting for 18 months, and new editions being released approximately once every 6 months. Microsoft has plans to support currently released "long-term" support editions (only available with a special license) until at least the mid-to-late 2020s.

  • Wheres this info coming from the widows 10 will be Eos?? Source of info ?? Links.. i have never heard of this system going to take over windows 10??

  • Actually windows 10 is Eos on January (10th)2020 (Also it's better to use Mac or Linux because they don't have Eos)

  • Good news, Microsoft will stop and replace Windows 10 Mobile at end of the year with Windows 10 Core Edition ARM64 (Fully functional Windows instead mobile OS for Qualcomm cpus), much fastest, native windows apps, games, drivers etc. HP Elite X3 is the fastest Windows phone ;)

  • I have the Alcatel Idol 4S Windows, specwise looks the same but Idol is super laggy and clunky. Also shame support ends soon

  • i feel you mate"

  • very nice cell phone

  • Windows 10 Mobile support ends 2019-12-10, for anyone thinking of buying this or one of the other Windows phones. That's the end of Microsoft's last attempt at the mobile market.

  • I totaly love this byullshit outdated product 1/10

  • Where did you buy it from?

  • Windows is not dead, just there is no updates on main chanel for system updates but apps re updated every day.HP Elite X3 is perfect phone for IT people

  • Windows is dead.Move to android too.

  • my lumia 950xl just died on me after using since Feb 2016, so just brought a HP Elite x3 online and start using thankful for the new windows updates 10.0.15254.530

  • Love this phone as it manage very well my email better than android and Blackberry OS 10. My second usage is multimedia through my big television. I can stream youtube with continuum dock.

  • This device is master race in your pocket. ^3^

  • You can't install android app on Windows as they are two different platform. Their program language is different. For me except Bank App, I have all app I need with my HP ELITE X3: Whatapp, VLC Media Player, Telegram, Microsoft App, some games and so. It depend on your need.

  • u can not

  • Please explain me how you download android apps?????

  • No it does not work with WhatsApp,only as a second device if you have it first on your pc and close by and also work in half of the settings with Viber. Ethernet connection with dock station do not work at all.you can download but not install ir neither open anything beside Microsoft! It means Very few app,Miracast also do not work on hp pc ! Only very few updates once every 6 months...the charging with docking station make both device very hot very quickly...the rest is ok

  • HP elite X3 is a great phone specially concerning battery life and huge. Windows 10 mobile is great for people who don't need a tons of applications.

  • Yes. The whasapp works fine, instagram,Facebook, line, spotify, every single app that exist in android

  • Does it works what's up?

  • hello friends, I've used windows phone all my life. Of the latest smart phones with windows I have used this the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and the HP Elite X3. Of which there is not much in comparison and performance. only the lumia, with respect to the camera win by far the HP X3. With respect to continuum, the three telephones work the same. The HP kicks them with respect to battery life. In my opinion, I've never liked having identical smart phones that my friends have. With regard to applications, of course there is support with those that are used regularly. and there is no unusual delay using applications. I highly recommend HP Elite X3 is the best smart phone I've had in my hands to date, after 12 months of use, works as the first day

  • I use HP Elite X3 now 1.5 year and don't plan to change phone at all, as it is best bussines phone ever I had. Also my girlfriend has also HP Elite X3 and we share one HP Lapdock when want to use it. I went into watter a couple of time under 3m with phone and everything work perfect like first day. there is still didit EOF for this phone as Microsoft make updates and other contributors. Only minus is that Viber drop support for windows platform, but thats a Viber problem not Microsoft. Everything else is insane! I highly recomend I who want to have a bussines phone.

  • realy ????? hmm wht is the next moble brand ?

  • I noticed this phone is 299$ at MS store. Seems good offer for my upgrading after 1520 and 950xl. At beginning it costed 799$ which was way too much. Unfortunatelly, MS never will never teach that hardware should be better then comparable Androids, should cost 20% less and operating system should be updated and upgraded constantly. But nothing from all that so there they got market share as it is. As somebody said, I wish them good luck with Andromeda OS (interestanding name, very similar to main competitor), but if they continue working at same way, that is wasting of resources and money.

  • actually, meizu used that panels on few models too. on m2 note it was way too power hungry but clear, cheap, and easy to repair , and its not IZGO it is IGZO. but in comparison to S-AMOLED or P-OLED difference is very noticeable and LED is clear winner to a naked eye , but in terms of costs and faulty screens (lines,burn-ins,heat-resistence,colorsplash) LED technology just sucks.

  • Hello readers, in my previous message, I said that I read about articles which say Windows 10 mobile has ended. But, it is coming back to life in the form of Andromeda OS. Good Luck Microsoft.

  • Hello readers, I'm an Indian and I have well defined strategies to bring back Windows 10 Mobile effectively. The main plus point of Windows 10 is that it is a closed ecosystem. May I know, is there anyone who would appreciate Windows 10 mobile back. Moreover, please do say about whether Microsoft would give me an opportunity to hit. I am into this just after reading many articles saying Windows 10 mobile has ended. Please do reply.

  • Well Sharp phones have displays comparable and some even better than Super-AMOLED called IZGO display. Their color reproduction is just excellent. Too bad they sell them only in Japan.

  • non of the brands compete with Samsung on display matters...

  • on today (Febraury 24, 2018) I challenge to this phone with my old LG G2 3g phone.....third class features on high price...what is the use of this?

  • $799 for this phone, thanks but I can live without NFC, QHD display and all those military grade durability. I think the Alcatel Idol 4S Windows would be a better bet for me especially now when Microsoft has slashed its price to mere $100. As for the desktop kit I can, always buy the Microsoft HD500 dock, keyboard and mouse separately.

  • the smartphone that I really want.

  • Worst phone ever had. Very slow when running 3 or 4 appa simultaneously. Can't find any good office package . Only can use Office 365 and need to buy it. Stock browser is shit. Take ages to load web pages. And most of the web sites are not supported. Filling web applications are very hard. Take long time .due to lag. Ever I didn't have any problem with Bluetooth with any phone. The worst BT connection in this phone . It not supported most of the device. Even Didn't work with my 2015 prius. Frequents lose communication between every 10-15 seconds. Most of the windows apps are not properly worked with Elite x3 Wasting money. . Battery pretty good stay whole day . Sound quality nice. Canara is average

  • The camera seems to be marginally better than my 1520, but its not on par with new apple or galaxy, its clear and colors look good, but the zoom algorithm is definitely behind the big names.

  • Can anyone say me about the camera picture quality ? Lumia phones pictures are little yellowish, this to a Windows phone, that's why the doubt , please someone reply me who have used this phone

  • Well I went for almost same set up as yours after buying my Alcatel Idol 4S Windows, the only difference is than I went for Logitech K830 Illuminated Keyboard which cost me $62 so I ended up spending $321 but I can use the keyboard in dark too, still cheaper than HP Elite x3 though.

  • My X3 also works perfect in Novi Sad. Regards

  • - Since latest Update is WP10 very stable, no crashes anymore. - Still one of the bigest and finest Displays out there. - Probably the best speakers ever built in a Smartphone. - Specs are still comparable with the newer Android flagships. - Native Apps are in excellent condition and you can still find many very good 3rd party Apps. - Continuum is for simple tasks very convenient. - You can still find couple of big Manifacturers of Hardware and accessories supporting the platform.... Rumors have it that HP will soon stop the production and that MS will support WP10 with no more major upgrades until 2020... which is probably not all that tragic for a smartphone as long as the 3rd Party Apps stay in good condition... There is still hope that MS will come with full Windows on ARM, on a Smartphone/ Phablet device until then!

  • In India Alcatel Idol 4S Windows phone costs same as HP Elite x3, i.e., both cost Rs 29,000. So I went for the HP Elite x3.

  • what say you boy! its a marvel!

  • But it's very expensive

  • Microwoww's Windoge 10 Such Speed, Much Easy, Very Wow

  • Well I went for the Alcatel Idol 4S Windows from Microsoft Store for just $199, bought the Microsoft HD 500 Display dock for $60 and Microsoft All In One Wireless keyboard with built in trackpad for $48, so for just $307 I can do all the things that this phone can do and yeah Alcatel Idol 4S Windows looks way better than this utilitarian device. So I think this device is just overpriced.

  • I used Lumia 950 XL and i know about desktop expirience. ok phone does its job well but in other hand Viber not working? srsly ? Viber is supported by windows 10 mobile,if i wanna pay that money for that device it need to be well supported and without bugs wich is not case here as well. so real price of this phone should be about 400$ but it have HP logo on back. also samsung s8 and note 8 support desktop expirience , have big screens , better cameras, better support , stylish look , many minor features like iris scanner and wireless charge, fast charge... And guess what?S8 IS CHEAPER

  • Guys, you are like everyone else. Read specs and usability before purchasing product. I have HP X3, almost a year, 900$ with dock, keyboard and mouse. Works perfectly for business (MS-Exchange, Office365, Skype for Business & other). On the other hand, if you needed a phone, you could buy something for 40-90$ - a phone. HP Elite X3 is a sort of hybrid, a little bit away of what is usually expected from smartphone. For example Viber is useless on this device (sound does not work and signaling is odd). On the other hand skype is working perfectly. From my point it does the job for which it is made for. And BTW, every manufacturer supports product only on local market where it was purchased, even if this is global product there are local legislation related to purchase. Especially when it comes to communication equipment, this is related to legislation! Anyway, this is Windows 10 based device. If you used to iOS or Android, this is complete change in approach. If you didn't purposed it properly than it is a money through away.

  • Was reading on a X3 forum on Windows Central that the X3 will be coming to Verizon in the next couple weeks. Looks like I will be picking up a new phone for Christmas or just after.

  • Yes, It supports almost all social networking apps which you can use on any Android smartphone.

  • Bro bro bro i'm from serbia too... Personaly i dont have a phone but i meet with it few months ago... my buddy have x3 and mobile networks are just fine ... even 4g works in middletown of Novi Sad... Only complain that i have is low-light performance camera... And im not a fan of windows mobile but this is pretend to be business phone... But im not sure about HP many other manufacturers use different antenas depending on region... so that in your case can be a problem since you live in canada... but 800$ really? you can stick with any other phone but you go for HP? HP is brand but not in mobile division... You have Sammy,Sony,LG,Apple,ASUS,Google,HTC,even Motorola(Lenovo),Meizu,Huawei and Xiaomi are a lot better choice... all of these companies have flagships(High-end phones) if you need Desktop expirience go with S8 if you need big screen S8+ V20 U11 I7 plus etc if you need camera go with PIXEL XZ PREMIUM S8 IPHONE 7 Plus V20 G6 P10 so many choices ... In battery as priority go with MI MIX MATE 9 MI 6 I7 Plus .... so many better choices in every aspect of this phone... I personally use V20 since release... I have all i need ... Big screen,Great camera,Smooth expirience overall,Secondary display,Fast charging,Best multimedia expirience avalible right now , battery isn't that good but i carry one more for any case,It can lasts a day but i have about 9h screen on time daily...there is no phone who can give me that battery built in...Also to mention that LG haven't bootloop issues since they change motherboard vendor and cooling system...Also there are more additional features like wide angle camera,FULL manual mode,IR blaster,Always on second display, removable back(also means u can change if you damage it ) Quad-DAC and so on... so my brother dont be fooled by HP,PANASONIC,KODAK etc ... they have phones but that's not their priority... so you cant expect boom from them... (ok priority sounds stupid Phones are not priority to SONY LG SAMMY but they have a years of expirience and fixed mistakes from the past)... Also microsoft is done with mobile division wich means one year software support in best case... Keep using gsmarena or yt and inform yourself well before you buy next one...

  • why no radio fm ?

  • bullshit

  • use HP since new year,no compliment, now totally out of use, hardware and software problem, dead phone!this is second, same model, like but something not well perfect, one bought in Chicago, dead on recognize sim card, exchange in Toronto ,working 5 months and start to show more and more problems...anyway in my country in Serbia no service for mobile!!hp service says:return to Canada!can you understood?how one Hp care for their products?lie phone and like to keep, but on this support and very bed service...this very expensive product(paid 880usd)...no way?shall hp pay my ticket to Toronto to exchange new-one?!! also Windows very sleepy on developing in mobile field...why? fantastic idea and potential...nobody care! nokia ans microsoft no more produce.....

  • Well Alcatel Idol 4S Windows runs on Windows 10 Mobile too and has same specifications and can do all the things that HP Elite X3 does and costs 1/3rd the price of Elite X3. I see no point in buying HP Elite X3. Even the HP Lapdock works perfectly with it. No matter how you see it one can't ignore the fact that Elite X3 is overpriced. I work in corporate sector too and even I was tempted to buy Elite X3 but then I realized that the Alcatel Idol 4S Windows offers all the features I need from Elite X3 at a way lower price and way more attractive design.

  • Cool down guys, both are good Windows 10 Mobile devices. HP Elite X3 is an excellent flagship. Alcatel Idol 4S Windows is an excellent flagship killer. Both devices are targeted at two different groups of consumers. HP Elite X3 is pricey but due to its enhanced durability it is more suited for corporate road warriors. Alcatel Idol 4S Windows isn't durable as Elite X3 but by packing similar specifications at an affordable price it targets the mainstream audience. Both are excellent Windows 10 Mobile devices.

  • I've just bought it and battery life isn't good. I have to struggle very much to get to the end of the day with only about 3 or 4 hours of total usage in WhatsApp, Internet and playing videos, all of it with all the connections turned off most of the time, and screen brightness set to the minimum.

  • My 1020 has WP10 and works fine, it still does. I have Android, Apple and W10 devices and use them all for their strengths and avoid them for their weaknesses. I can tell you from this experience that W10 has the best lay-out and best potential and functionality, but isn't as vastly supported, but that's not to blame solely on MS. The Android has so many issues too, and is a lot less safe to run some applications on. Apple works the smoothest, but is also the most limited in functionality, so no wonder. For Office and Outlook users it is very convenient to have it all in one platform. If you want a toy you are better off with Android.

  • you can change the size and position of the keyboard. Just press and hold the spacebar until the keyboard gets highlighted in a rectangle. Then you can move it up-down or left-right. You just need to move it to the center of the screen and then move it down.

  • I have 950xl, but since upgrade, 3 months ago, my keyboard in landscape mode is tiny. cant use phone like that anymore. is it fixed on this one?

  • Yes, they have those apps. They might not come with the phone but will be on the Store! You should certainly buy one because the best phone you can buy is WINDOWS!!

  • Ive been fan for windows phone but lack of app has drifted me away , this phone i should go back to the platform but i need to know social apps is now better or not for example facebook messenger has voice calls or not ??

  • But you don't get NFC, MIL-STD 810G - grade salt, fog, humidity, transport shock and thermal shock resistance, IP67 dust and water resistance, 1440 x 2560 pixels screen, Bang & Olufsen audio system and a big 4150 mAh battery with Alcatel Idol 4S Windows. Alcatel Idol 4S Windows uses Asahi Dragontrail glass and from what I've heard it ain't as good as Corning Gorilla Glass 4

  • Tried this phone and I was indeed tempted to buy it but then of course I couldn't due to its high price especially with the desktop kit. I mean $599, that's just crazy. So after checking some rave reviews about Alcatel Idol 4S Windows I went for it. Yeah it did cost me cheaper. $275 for the unlocked version from Amazon, $60 for Microsoft display dock from eBay and $30 for Microsoft Wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard from Amazon. So at a total price of $365 I can do all the things a HP Elite x3 with desktop kit priced at $599 can. The only thing I miss is the Quad HD 6 inch panel of HP Elite x3 but I can live without it.

  • I kinda understand their pricing here as Elite x3 is mainly meant for highly paid office workers as their desktop substitude/helper. It's not meant for entertainment device in the first place.

  • Especially now when the factory unlocked version of Alcatel Idol 4S Windows is available in Amazon for merely $280. Even the overpriced iPhone 6S is cheaper than this phone. I just hope HP will reduce its price.

  • I totally agree with the price! HP is insane :D

  • Same here too! It's price here in Finland is whopping 900€ :O No way i'm gonna pay that much... ...it should be somewhere between 500-600€ or less.

  • Would have bought it if was Android....Microsoft ? Shitty platform. When bought Lumia 900 they came out with windows 8 and said wont have it.Bought Lumia 1020 and then said that wont get windows 10 for a 2 years old phone .Microsoft is dying.

  • I am looking for this in Bangladesh but became sad and price also on the tree.

  • You know at least HP Elite x3 won't shatter into pieces if it falls, that glitzy and shiny glass back of Alcatel Idol 4S Windows of yours would break like cookie if it falls. Your Idol 4S Windows may have same specs as this phone but it can't be even half as durable as this phone. Better opt for costlier but durable device than opting for a cheaper shiny glass toy.

  • Same for me. Prices here are €800 to €850 with the docking station, but that is a lot of money. So I am still hanging on to my Lumia 930.

  • I really love this phone but its price is keeping me away!

  • Yes the new update enabled the usage of LED charging indicator as the notification LED. But you can't change the colour of the notification LED.

  • It would have been nice, amoled and glance are a good combo which I am missing on my Lumia 930. If you had it before it's hard to miss it since it brings much convenience. Does it have an LED for notifications instead?

  • No it doesn't. Glance screen is exclusive to Lumia devices.

  • Does it have glance screen?

  • But is your Alcatel Idol 4S Windows MIL-STD 810G - grade salt, fog, humidity, transport shock and thermal shock resistant and IP67 certified - dust and water resistant? I don't think so. Does your Alcatel have NFC? No it doesn't. Does Alcatel have Bang & Olufsen audio system? Not at all. Does Alcatel have a 1440 x 2560 resolution display? No it's still stuck with lower resolution 1920 x 1080 display. Can your Alcatel survive drops like Elite x3? Good luck trying it, the so called stylish glass body of your Alcatel will break like an egg. Alcatel Idol 4S Windows may have same processor and storage as Elite x3 but it's quality and ruggedness nowhere close to Elie x3. Alcatel Idol 4S Windows is just a cheap device with flagship grade processor, just like OnePlus 3T but phones like those can be never be equal to true flagships like HP Elite x3.

  • But the price they're asking for this phone is ridiculous. One can get Alcatel Idol 4S Windows with almost same specs at a way lower price.

  • To be frank, Elite X3 is having the best specs in terms of compliance to Mil Std and Dust/Water proof, Iris Scanner, fingerprint and double tap to close and awake, wireless charging and many cool features. The hardwares are very good and l'm impressed. However the setback is the limited softwares that compatible with Microsoft Continuum. Hopefully, HP and Microsoft can make the next Elite X3 update to work as a real PC and run the classic softwares of Windows 10.

  • Brilliant device and shame on gsmarena for not reviewing it.

  • I am sorry but your math is wrong.... 1% every 10 minutes is 1000 minutes.... Since one hour contains 60 minutes you devide 1000 by 60 and you get 16.6 hours.. And that is more than half day.. Not 1hour 40 min.... Btw the phone looks nice... I love windows phone... My lumia 950 is awsome....

  • Found the lap dock in Microsoft store. I bit the bullet and bought it despite of its outrageous price of $599, anyway it works with Alcatel Idol 4S Windows too.

  • Not sure. They are doing some offer at the moment where they will give you up to £100 off if you trade in a phone towards this. I wonder if this is because they are trying to shift stock. I guess it all depends how well this one sells. Windows Phone is dying dispite this being an excellent handset and one that I own.

  • Any idea about when the successor to X3 is coming? They exhibited something in MWC2017, but no announcements have been made yet and not much is reported on the Internet.

  • As of now no the lapdock is only designed for the HP Elite X3

  • The resolution of the phone is nice Not laggy Excellent battery life will last for the whole day of heavy used Nice camera but not great Faster processor Limited apps Overall nice phone foe business peopla

  • Can the Lapdock be purchased separately? I have a Alcatel Idol 4S Windows which has the same specifications as Elite x3. I want to use the Lapdock with it.

  • you may have to buy it on Amazon and get it shipped

  • Too early to comment on the reliability of the software, but I received this yesterday from CLOVE. Buttery smooth. Has pretty much all the bells and whistles. Love the phone so far.

  • This is amazing phone.....l love Windows phone....

  • 1% every 10 minutes would give 1000 minutes

  • 1% every 10 minutes is 1 hour 40 minutes. Something badly wrong, must be a app draining it.

  • Yes. I have the lap dock. Love it.

  • Of course a full fledged laptop would be always a better choice than the lapdock, but I see lapdock as a good alternative for students when coupled with cheaper Continuum capable phones like Lenovo 503LV and Funker W6.

  • It is no more possible in the latest versions of Windows 10 Mobile. Microsoft cancelled Project Astoria.

  • For 6" screen + winX battery must be ≥ 6000mAh and of course one stylus.

  • Hi, I bought the Hp Elite X3 and my battery doesnt last 6 hours on one full charge. Even the phone is on standby it uses the battery at a rate of 1% every 5-10 minutes. Can you tell me how your device is performing battery wise? Appreciate your reply

  • Would u prefer the lapdock or a laptop

  • Look on YouTube theirs ways to put android apps on it.

  • Search HP Philippines page in FB. They can sell you one through one of their official retailers.

  • I loved this phone. Went back to my Lumia 950 after waiting for some time to see if AT&T would ever bring Enhanced LTE services to this device. AT&T seems to be the last major carrier to not support unlocked devices in that way (Enhanced LTE/HD Voice/VoLTE/VOWiFi).

  • asus havs best market with make a zenfone. lonovo is the number one laptop maker and 6 biggest mobile phone maker. hp have a good name and market for android phones. not windows phones. windows phone market is so down

  • Fantastic device! What GSMArena missed in the specs is the Cat 6 LTE. I expected Cat 4 but to my surprise it have a speedy connection! Works like a charm and is a great work companion!

  • May I know the battery capacity?

  • I am near Davao City? Can I buy it here? How much? Thank you

  • Same here, have it since September and it's the best phone I got. I bought the bumper from HP so no problem now to hold it. :) I can last 2 days with one charge; the battery on this phone is awesome.

  • We strive to do some innovation of this phone.

  • Hi, can you pls let me know where you brought this phone from......I live in India & have been trying for a long time but it seems this phone is not yet launched / available in India.....

  • great phone. i hope in the future there will be more apps for it

  • And yeess ,plz do it

  • It is probably not interesting enough because we are overloaded with androids everywhere. They did a preview of this phone and that's probably it, sadly.

  • Dont you find it weird that gsmarena has not made a review of this phone....

  • Gsmarena we are waiting for endurance rating of this phone.Battery is very important to know about how long it will last.Thank you

  • Bought this phone yesterday and i have to tell you that its nothing short of amazing. Build quality top notch. Bit slippery thou but easily manageable. I've been switching phones usually after 6 months of use but first time i have a feeling that this will stay alot longer. I had my doubts about HP but luckily they proved me wrong.

  • are you not aware that HP has a solution for this with HP Workspace? a subscription based x86 terminal service, and in recent news Microsoft has been working with QUALCOMM to create x86 virtualisation on their processors for full windows 10 installations.

  • Whoa... You went for the lapdock too. That's great.

  • It's an excellent phone indeed. But due to some odd reason the Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 is outselling this phone in USA. Must be due to its lower price. But it is not as good as Elite x3

  • Next step on a device like this should be having x86 architecture so it can run 64bit Windows 10 - in effect enabling you to run full desktop applications when connected to a dock/external display.

  • Fantastic continuum abilities. HP have really set the bar for Windows Phones. Brilliant accomplishment for their first attempt at windows phones. They're continuously improving the experience with firmware updates.

  • Also i can add if ms mobile 10 survive market battles it will be always ms mobile 10 with upgrades, no major changes in architecture. For android cookies for example lg g2 cant upgrade to android 6.0 i believe. Also have been expensive flagship in 2013.

  • Yep. One of my best investments this year.

  • You can buy it from Microsft Store. It costs $799. Otherwise if your firm uses HP as their PC vendor then you can buy it from corporate vendor channel. It costs $649 that way.

  • From where We can buy it???

  • I am wating for my Hp Elite X3 :)

  • I just purchased the complete bundle from MS store (Cyber Monday). I'm loving it. I have the following set up. -Phone -Desk Dock -Lap Dock (Lovin it) -HP Elite case -HP Silicone case -HP Screen Protector This is better than Andriod or Apple any day. You have a true PC like experience, Laptop experience, etc. W10 will only get better. Next step is to be able to run full windows apps on phone. It's coming. I only paid $905 for whole setup. Would've been $1600 for bundle. LOVING IT....

  • using it. working well. good battery life. lack of apps is an issue. but very good phone by hp. slippery as heel. do not use without a case

  • Xperia XZ is an Android device. The only good competitor to HP Elite x3 is Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 Edition, but it lacks NFC and wireless charging.

  • its windows 10

  • No thanks, I don't want an Android device.

  • Not about price... It's about performance, specs and Reliability Sony cells!!

  • Nay go for Sony XZ flagship Beast!!

  • If you want same specs at a smaller size, cheaper price and with louder speakers and camera then go for Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 Edition. It costs merely $469. But yeah it isn't MIL-spec ruggedness tested like Elite x3 and it doesn't have Bang & Olufsen audio system either.

  • The most feature rich Windows 10 device there is, but it needs marketing. I bet many consumers would gladly have this phablet as daily driver but it needs to be marketed. I would buy it if I had the money because this phone is simply awesome.

  • all series that you said still can run win 10 but on insider preview, even for the elemen level Lumia 520 still can run with it. Google with android created comsumerist people because almost every update android need higher specs, that's why all producer love android. Even for top hackers only need less than a minute to cracked android.

  • You get used to it. I jumped from a 5.7"phone to an 8"tablet and got used to it in just 24 hours! Just enjoy whatever you're doing it's automatic and you're fliying. I've got medium hands.

  • I'll buy it asap! With the anniversary updates just came out! It's show time. Awsome 5.9"screen,water proof or resistant etc...

  • I'm using an 8"tablet for years! A 5.9"phablet is quiet small!!! You can get used to any size just Do It. You've got 2 hands. Have fun! Stop bitching so much!

  • No you can't buy this without display dock. You have to go for at-least one kind of dock, either the display dock or the laptop dock or both. I went for the display dock as the laptop dock is too pricey. There's reason why this phone has a polycarbonate body, they used polycarbonate so as to implement Qi/PMA wireless charging, wireless charging doesn't work with glass or metal.

  • It's look like you have one, can I ask you if i can buy this without the lap dock?i prefer this brand and it has a cook design, a microsoft new phone design should be like this for an upgrade to their design and atleast they make some metal this time... Just asking and saying :)

  • If you want a Windows 10 Mobile with same specs as Elite x3 but better 21 megapixel f/2.0 aperture camera then go for Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 Mobile edition. It's available at just $469, so it costs way cheaper than Elite x3, it's slimmer, has nice glass and metal build, at 5.5 inches it is way more compact. But of course it doesn't ship with Continuum display dock, you need to buy it separately for $99. But it is still cheaper than Elite x3.

  • The camera quality is quite good, photos are quite clear especially after the recent camera bug fix released by HP but don't expect it to be as good like the Carl-Zeiss optics equipped camera of Lumia series. But of course it the camera works smooth and the focuses pretty fast.

  • Can't wait for the official specs of the elite x3 camera and hoping it has ois,4k,quick focus,ETC..if the camera of hp elite x3 itself is great i hope they make a slim case with camera botton, zoom in and zoom out Since this smartphone has pogo pin then it should be used and they should make a modular camera since the camera is the only low............ I know they can do it , HP and windows is a great company... :) i cant wait i should buy this phone or not but difinitely YES........

  • Don't get caught out like I did with the Lumia 950. THIS IS NOT A PC ! MS advertised it in a similar way to the X3 rah rah rah. These windows 10 phones all use ARM chips, and cannot run .exe files. ARM and x86 chipsets use completely different languages and you cannot run a program (as in .exe) on an ARM. It will run apps that's all.

  • If you want a Windows 10 Mobile phone with same specs and lower price then wait for Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 edition, it is going to be released for just $469.00 on November 10.

  • So many whiners. If you dont like windows mobile 10. Dont use it. Its because your android phone cant use continuum and x86 apps. Android users are you jealous of this. Microsoft have big plans for the future of developing windows 10 mobile. In the future windows 10 mobile devices will have keyboards that cover the phone, continuum with windowing and offering more like pc experience. A 3 in 1 device is the future of windows mobile. As microsoft said they will continue to develop windows mobile no restarts or reboots. Microsoft edge in continuum becomes desktop mode microsoft edge. Are you envy or jealous that so many years android did not do this.

  • Still $1200 + is ultra expensive price!!!?Even a Windows fan can buy at least 10 Microsoft 640 XL LTE midrange phablet 5.7 inches smartphone(Undoubtety, the second one in Microsoft 30 bullet lumia machine-gun automatic shooting after the premium high-end lumia 950 XL LTE!!!)!?Any logical reasonable reason for such backbone breaking too much pricing!!!?Thanks to listen to answers....Justice Rights.

  • Now where was it I read about Windows 2016 server Smartphone edition!!?? He will probably want to make it a DC next, with Exchange 2016 as well!

  • Should have had 8GB of ram if it was really going to be first pc-phone hybrid!

  • I want the GSM Arena official Battery Test and I want it now! (Check that the firmware supports high nit valued bright sunlight mode.)

  • I guess ur a small person with small hands. Fits in my more natural than any 5.5 inch or small phone...

  • This is military grade certified. I doubt its for everyday consumers.

  • I don't know what is the problem with zour devices, but i have no problems with my 950xl. Sometimes i wander if it's not the user....

  • hahaha... try to use seriously "mobile" with size like that, ridiculous

  • This is for serious use, not for android's child play....

  • The only problem with this phone, is that it runs on MS os. People would have paid that kind of money 4 android, but this is dead before lunch, like the os it runs.

  • Camera 16 MP is rut having f/2.2 worse focal length, should be under 2, as all Sammy, HTC, etc. Why this suicide. News of Surface with 830 is also died its natural death.

  • Why the camera is not good? they should fix this because when i search for elite x3 in hp websites it said there that the phone have optical image stabilisation and sensors...or at least they should make it clear about this issue

  • Wasn't it the Insiders who complained about the S4 CPU, so Microsoft decided to go for a more modern CPU. The Anniversary Update requires 700MB RAM ~3/4 GB.

  • Er, why 64GB is not enough for you, why an SD? In the rare cases where USB-OTG, connection to PC, cloud, and that 64 GB is not enough, one could temporarily remove one SIM to access the SD card, right?

  • Beautiful phone. Specs are great. The lack of apps has never been an issue. Had the 950 and was very buggy. With Basic functions the phone would freeze up and would have to restart. If if turned on Bluetooth and urged back on it would require a power down. Been a loyal user since the HTC trophy, but wp10 is making think about going to android. Btw I sold the 950 and am using a 930 running 10 with the same issues.

  • I'm tired of waiting for a 1020 successor or a smartphone running x86 Windows 10. Will be getting this soon.

  • I am talking about flagship phone and All Android flagship phone will get 3 update.Lumia 1020,925 flagship phone and 1320 is mid range flagship phone but there is no update of Windows 10 Why.....we invest big money over flagship phone only due to its future support. And if Microsoft will not provide update to its flagship phone there is no sense to invest money over the Windows phone its simply waist of the money.

  • 5s 2013 still running over ios 10.0.2 and will get some more update too.Nexus series also running over latest Android version.Moto devices will get 2 coming Android update.Other brands like HTC,Samsung,Sony,Lg provide Android update for its flagship devices only but Lower segment Smartphone they provide update for its custom ROM like. And Chinese brands like Huawei,One Plus,Xiaomi,Lenovo all these Smartphone also run over it's custom ROM like Emotion,Oxygen,MiUI,Vibe and in Android we can also flash other Custom ROM like Cyanogen Mode. But in Windows there is no option to run custom over the Windows OS.My 1320 is now going to dead almost as we all know that Microsoft not going to provide any update for its older version 8.1 at present WhatsApp takes around 10 min for message delivery and around 15 to 20 to upload videos.I can't use my 2014 Lumia 1320 phone always lags. But Galaxy S III, 2013 Samsung grand and 2013 Micromx Canvas HD still performing very well in day to day usages. But what about 1020,925,1320 these Smartphone is not very old and loaded with nice cheapest but due to the lack of the software update they all are pathetic.Android and iPhone is way ahead in terms of actual world of performance for the longer period of time Windows phone is no ware.I still have 3 Windows phone 1320,640 XL and 640.I knows each cons and pros of Windows phone very well.

  • Gaurav, is Android giving Updates to Froyo, Lollipop or Marshmallow? NO SIR! Can older Apple iPhones be 'Upgraded' to the latest iOS10? NO SIR! A Select number of Windows Phones ARE upgradable! And not just Lumias, I have personally upgraded my BLU Win HD LTE from Windows 8.1 to 10 and it runs just fine!! Microsoft did promise to bring Windows 10 to EVERY earlier Windows Phone, but the they probably gave it up because of the difficulties in porting it to so many different models! I think they did a FINE JOB, successfully porting it to a number of earlier Phones, Lumias and non-Lumias!!

  • No, you CANNOT run Windows Server on ANY Smartphone! All Windows 10 Smartphones run the OS Windows 10 Mobile, which id quite different from the Windows 10 you have on Desktops, Laptops and Tablets - even though they look oh-sooo-similar... Trust this answers you question fully

  • Windows 10 Mobile is being improved! The Redstone 2 is one reason for the delay in the Surface Phone, the other being the availability of the Kaby Lake processor... I for one am willing to wait some more for the Surface Phone: it is being built to run Win32 Apps (without the need for Antivirus, which would definitely slow down Phone operations). Having switched to Windows with the Lumia 920 itself, I simply cannot go back to Android now - love the Win 8/ 10 interface and ease of use just too much! :)

  • This phone is good but I'm not fond of the new direction Microsoft wants to take with Windows 10 Mobile. OS licensing may be good in case of PCs but in case of phones it leads to quality control issues. The Elite X3 turned out to be good but same isn't true for other Windows 10 Mobile devices. Lenovo 503LV has severe overheating issues, Acer Jade Primo has bad over saturated camera and BLU Win HD LTE and Funker W6 has terrible build quality, pathetic cameras and inferior quality displays. It's hard to move on from Carl Zeiss equipped good quality Lumia phones to such devices. The worst part about their new strategy is that they would no more produce phones of their own. All the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile devices would be produced by third party manufacturers. Although updates won't be an issue as for Windows 10 Mobile phones they would be directly maintained by Microsoft but quality of devices would be a big issue. It would have been better if they had done something like what Google does in case of Nexus devices.

  • You are right, that is exactly my point as well. No dedicated memory card slot for the dual-SIM version is the only reason stopping me from buying this otherwise great phone. I guess I will have to settle for the 950XL-Dual, and use VMware instead of HP's Workforce in order to use my desktop applications on the server. Bummer, because that's not a very affordable solution all-in-all.

  • Agree. The OS choice is questionable, considering how Microsoft messed up the very good concept of the Lumia line. Important is the software that runs the thing and I am not impressed with Win10. Love my Lumia 1520 though...

  • WTA. can i run windows server on this phone? Pls help me. Urgent. Tq in advance.

  • Beauty business class piece. When is the release :D

  • Such an impressive phone. Such a disappointing OS choice.

  • Hp elite x3 dual sim version must have dedicated memory card slot instead of using sim-2 slot,to increase it's usefulness and popularity.

  • The bad thing about Microsoft they are not stick to its word.Earlier they said each Windows since 520 to 640 and 535 will get Windows 10 update. But what happened We all knows that 1020 is the flagship phone other pricy Lumia devices like 925 & 1320 is not getting Windows 10 update. Why and they stop providing update to its older Windows 8.1 it's a pathetic why anybody will go for the Windows phone there is no sense to use Windows phone.Microsoft have no vision for the future of its mobile business.

  • Day by day Apps is geting more and more impactul place in our day to day activity. We can't ignore apps importance.Browsers will not serves our utility. And Windows phone is very poor in apps department and available apps in Windows store is as good as that in Android(google play) and iOS(apps store).

  • Dearest factwriting and factaccepting moral enthusiasts.Undoubtedly, the best Windows smartphone phablet has ever been by HP by Microsoft supporting(father and mother of electronic technology!!)But,logically is the price of $1400 fair, while you can buy almost 9+ Note 3 SD 650 from new infamous good brand with the android OS and give fully populated of your 9 members, each one a decent affordable economically inexpensive budget quality one!!!Xiaome Not 3 pro is one of its best among 40(some really redundant in todays standard criteria!!?I hope a brave one from Microsoft or hp dares answer logically and fearlessly!!!Possibly!?Depends how strong, independent, and logical Microsoft and HP are to ACCEPT FACTWRITING!!!Any hop!?Just time and goodwill proves it!!!?Thanks gsmArena and mentioned names plus the public true decision make3

  • 123&4 are true as a windows mobile 10 user. You just nailed it.

  • I also used and like WM10. its better to have choice of what you like. Why i dont use android and ios. Its because of the icons. Still icons from windows 2.0/30. Every body has preference what they like. About apps not every wants apps. Even browser is ok for me. Web apps are the future. I dont see anything amazing feature from android and ios that windows cant. Where did window mode came from? android copy it from windows. Continuum mode will be the future of smartphone. When Intel will release it x86 processor that can be used in windows mobile x86 apps in continuum it will change things for good.

  • Why you defending Windows phone if Windows phone was user friendly then it never lost its market. We all have to accept the reality and Windows phone is nowhere there is no existence of Windows phone in actual world of performance.Android and iOS is the only right choice for the Smartphone till date and it's unbearable till date.

  • That is absolutely untrue!!! 1/ RAM: hard to understand what you wrote about RAM no able to "support all apps and functions" but it seems to run fine (with latest update) according to reviewers 2/ Emails: obviously Outlook DOES support attachments. If there is a strength here, this is the native email client that support for instance very advanced formatting that none of the Gmail and Mail apps on Android / iOS support. Attachments can be automatically download or manually (depending of your choice and how you want to preserve data). All the known formats are open directly from there, including pdf that open in Edge (no need to install anything), or ICS or vCard or whatever you can receive. And if this is a format that cannot be open by any installed app, it proposes to open the Store to show applications that can support it. Also, obviously, Outlook support uploading of any attachments you want. 3/ copy is straighforward. Double tap a word to select it directly with an icon to copy directly visible. And if you want to exten dthe selection, just pull the dot on each side of the world. Much quicker than on iOS for instance. 4/ Obviously as well and again W10M support viber and whatsapp. And I do know which kind of Windows Store limitations you are speaking about except having less apps in total numbers than iOs or Android. I don't believe you ever have, or even tried this phone and W10M as everything you said showed complete lack of knowledge of basic usage of Windows Mobile.

  • Never buy WP, it has no future, dead platform, no apps. BTW this HP also looks terrible

  • Majority will never be full they now what is useless and what is worthless. And why only majority Microsoft CEO Data Nadal accepted itself in press conference that Windows OS is not right choice for the Smartphone users.I think this much is more than enough to describe Windows phone.

  • I used Windows phone there is no hope in future for Windows I sold my device. And happy with my iOS best OS for smartphone.ios Apps quality is just fantastic never crash get regular update.Unlike Windows very poor quality of apps and the available apps are very boring and crashed many time.If you are happy it's your own choice. But I will never suggest to anyone to buy Windows phone for me it's (Windows phone) good for nothing device.

  • as if all social media like FB & any others not tracking at all? whenever u go online u have been tracked, no matter what system u use, even a phone call the CIA is tracking on u

  • as if u r some billionaire or terrorist who is afraid of being tracking what u do or whereabouts?

  • That's because "half of majority" brainwashed by Google and other half by Apple to buy their products - and only the one who can think buy Windows:-)

  • Therefore less likely to be stolen. Join the elite 1% of highly intelligent smartphone users or remain one of the Leming crowd!

  • are u sure android is clean? clean without annoying ads system? is that the android trying tracking user privacy and location? so how clean android was without root?

  • how hard is it? to use windows os?? its the beat and simplest out here...i moved from android.and i do not regrett it.

  • Majority of the people didn't know how to operate Windows phone I am happy because I am along with the majority. In whole world less than 1% people want to go with the Windows phone. This is the only truth of Windows phone.

  • I would actually buy this phone if i could afford it. People say windows Phone is not user friendly. I won't say no, but I'll just take into consideration the fact that user tastes and needs in a phone vary. I've been using a Lumia 640XL for the past few months, and im impressed. Despite its low/midrange standing, it good enough, and with Windows 10, its a whole new world. I believe windows 10 has the capability of standing tall against Nougat or iOS10. People tend to have prejudices towards windows phones, maily because the first devices sucked. try windows 10 with a keen interest and an open and willing, trust me, you won't be disappointed

  • Just because you are not acquainted with it doesn't mean that it is complicated. It's not the fault of OS if you don't know how to use it.

  • User should know, this is the end of Windows phone. Microsoft lost all the chances to come forward. Now microsoft itself is not interested in phone business. Better to leave windows phone. People say windows phone is smooth but not android. That was android jelly bean vs 8.1 . Now it is exactly opposite.Windows 10 is more bugy.Android OS providing much better user experience than Windows 10.

  • How could you say Windows Phone is a great device I can't understand Day to day Windows OS becomes more and more complicated and finally fails to provide comfortable user experience as that of Android and iOS becomes more and more attractive and much better than its earlier versions.Sorry but Windows Phone fails to prove its greatness till date.I am not agree even all Windows phone user accept that Windows Phone is not the great choice.Iphone is the only device which deserves the word "Great" yes only iPhone.

  • Totally not true , been a user of windows phone since 2012 . The outlook is OUTLOOK , you can do almost all that can be done on that application . :) Been using it as primary work /private Email device without any major issues for years.

  • Are you mad ?? Im doing all these things on my lumia 540 (actual Windows 8 but upgrade on windows 10)...

  • Sorry but im using lumia 830 windows 10 mobile. Every thing you wrote are not true. Actually i can do things like that in my lumia 830. Outlook emails does that. Copy paste select all copy and paste. Viber, whats app etc. I have that. The only thing i cant do that i want a new feature is continuum in lumia 830. Miracast and usb display to monitor is different than continuum.

  • Hi, I don't have such phone, but, about some Windows characteristics you mentioned: 2) The most basic feature of a Business phone - emails! The windows outlook /email app on the phone does not support opening or downloading attachment or cannot even upload attachments. Very very Frustating. I just openned my Lumia 930, Outlook and sent to myself one email with Excel plan, PDF file and a picture ... just one tap on the clip icon on Outlook screen... 3) The copy feature on the phone to copy any text is sluggish and seldom is able to execute the act. Just drag the delimiters around the text you want to copy and paste anywere you desire... 4) The windows os does not support other apps like (viber/whatsapp/imo) you cannot use these apps as efficiently as you can on an Android. The Windows app store n apps have major limitations in spite of the resources they have. Cannot see any serious efforts to put their apps malfuctions in order. I brought this phone with a lot of excitement and hope as this being my last and final gadget which will fulfill all my needs of a Business phone as claimed. VERDICT: ANDROID IS MORE EFFICIENT,CLEAN, LIGHT AND LESS FRUSTRATING TO SEND N RECEIVE IMPORTANT EMAILS WITH ATTACHMENTS. PLZ CONSIDER A ANDROID SYSTEM IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE SEVERAL MINUTES TYPING A SINPLE MAIL OR REVIEW LIKE. ME. SERIOUSLY I LOVED THE IDEA OF THIS PHONE AND PAID A HUGE PRICE TO PROCURE IT BUT I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH IT! FEEL MY ANDROID IS A BETTER INSTRUMENT WITH PERFORMANCE OUTPUT!! THIS IS MY OPINION AFTER USING THE PRODUCT MYSELF! Hummmm, I respect your oppinion, but give WindowsPhone a chance and you'll see it is easier to use... even with less apps ...

  • For saving and opening attachment all you need to do is to is to have the right app to open the file. Pictures and other document formats open straight out of the box. Once opened you can save them by going to the save option under the app. For pdf you need to install XODO pdf, once you install XODO pdf all pdf attachment open directly using this app. Then all you need to so is go to save under XODO pdf options and save the file to your device. Of course the process isn't direct like Android device where the device directly downloads and saves the attachment. And about uploading attachment well you can do it by opening the file manager, then select the files, tap on share then select share via your email. This creates a mail with the required files attached with it. Then you can add recipients to the mail. Just because you don't know how to use a Windows 10 Mobile device doesn't make it a bad device.

  • Hi! I brought the HP elite x3 @ a premium price almost a month back. The handset makers have given a lot of importance trying to put in comprehensive features to compete with other market leaders/ handset makers. But frankly and as a serious business phone user/Frequent traveller below are my opinions. 1) The phone RAM is unable to support all apps n functions and freezes or slows dow. It also heats up and while operating multiple apps n tasks has to be rebooted. 2) The most basic feature of a Business phone - emails! The windows outlook /email app on the phone does not support opening or downloading attachment or cannot even upload attachments. Very very Frustating. 3) The copy feature on the phone to copy any text is sluggish and seldom is able to execute the act. 4) The windows os does not support other apps like (viber/whatsapp/imo) you cannot use these apps as efficiently as you can on an Android. • This phone is great, it works smooth and the display and sound quality is excellent. It has a long battery life and all apps load pretty fast. Of course the number of apps available for this phone is lower than iPhone and Android but if you are used to Windows Phone it won't be a big issue. My only gripe with this phone is its size, it is bit too huge and cumbersome to carry around but if you are okay with its big size it won't be an issue. The fingerprint scanner is bit hard to reach with one hand but if you use it with your both hands then it's manageable, still it is recommended to use its iris scanner instead of the fingerprint scanner as it is easier to use. It has options for two kinds of Continuum docks, one is the normal desktop dock and other is a nice laptop dock.

  • Please inform how is it and 100 % truth. Because of I will go to buy

  • I don't think Microsoft will make any more phones. Henceforth they are going to concentrate on making the OS and licensing it to OEMs. In simple words Lumia line is technically dead and all new Windows 10 Mobile devices would be made by 3rd party OEMs. Microsoft just wants to concentrate on the software and OS they are no more concerned about the hardware. And technically it's good for them, Microsoft has always been a good software firm so for them licensing Windows 10 Mobile makes more sense than selling their own Windows 10 Mobile devices.

  • Most probably Microsoft will release Their surface Smartphone with Linux based OS.Thats the reason behind Windows Universal Apps. And at present Windows phone is not the priorities for the Microsoft and they just concentrating over the cloud storage, development for the X BOX and Hololense.

  • Go try Awesome Tube first before commenting. It is as good as the official YouTube app and it has additional feature to download videos. And what exactly is Reliance JIO. Is it some sort of unofficial appstore.

  • I don't think you understand the new direction Microsoft is trying to opt with Windows 10 Mobile. Of course Lumia will be discontinued because this time Microsoft wants to do what it does best, i.e., licensing its OS to OEMs. They are trying to do the same for Windows 10 Mobile too, due to this reason all new Windows 10 Mobile devices would be manufactured by 3rd party OEMs, however unlike Android their hardware is standardized and updates and patches are directly maintained by Microsoft. This shift has already begun, 3rd party OEM Windows 10 Mobile devices HP Elite x3, Acer Liquid Jade Primo, Lenovo 503LV, Funker W6 Pro 2, VAIO Phone Biz, NuaAns Neo are already available in the market. Truth be told Microsoft own Lumia 650 and 650XL are facing stiff competition in Japan from continuum capable Lenovo 503LV which is priced lower than them.

  • Well editing and creation of presentations on Powerpoint works fine, I don't see any problem with it and about inserting pictures that's easy, just tap on insert and than tap on photos, as easy as that. The problem you speak of has been resolved after the recent update of Microsoft Office on Windows 10 Mobile. Go try the latest update before commenting randomly. Although I do agree that the Facebook app is problematic but the problems with Microsoft Office have been resolved.

  • If Windows is perfect and everything thing is very good in Windows phone then why Microsoft stop its Lumia devices. Why Microsoft lost its Mobile market.Friends accept the fact.Even Microsoft itself realised that Windows phone will not going to compete with Android and iOS.Microsoft is a software giant and all Microsoft app performing brilliantly over Android as well as iOS.

  • Have you tried all applications have you edited Power Point in Windows phone, have you attached picture in excell sheet and in Power Point.Windows continuum feature is just useless it only hype it will not work in the actual world of performances.Sharing piks and replacing profile picture in Facebook consume much time and most of the time Facebook apps crashed.

  • Hotstar is there but it can't play videos,Reliance JIO apps proving us a multiple entertainment apps.YouTube apps is very bad in Windows phone.

  • This is a great concept which is let down by the execution. I think the Windows software holds this back.

  • Finally got mine through our firm's vendor route. We've placed orders for few more units of this phone. So far everything about this phone is great, it's good for work but yeah it still feels bit cumbersome to carry around so I usually carry it in my suite pocket. Sound quality via headphones is great. The phone is fast and snappy and after the recent Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary update it just works excellent. The display dock of this phone is ruggedly built and does have some weight to it. Overall it's a great phone for enterprise users.

  • What kind of restrictions? Of course on Windows Phone 8.1 it was restricted but on Windows 10 Mobile there're no restrictions.

  • Stop lying I just checked for the app called Hotstar and it is available in the store and it's a UWP app. The office app on Windows 10 Mobile is good. About YouTube well you can just use Awesome Tube, it is a UWP app, it has all the features of official YouTube client, like comment, subscription, live streams, uploads plus it lets you download videos to your device. What's JIO, is it some sort of geolocation app?

  • That's why people go crazy for the Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7.And Windows phone worlds know it's current positions, despite of its prices going down and down no body want to buy Lumia smartphone.

  • How could you say Windows the best phone actually Windows is not even close to better somewhat 8.1 2nd update was better but after Windows 10 it's just pathetic always lag, poor battery, apps crashing frequently, No hotstar apps,No official YouTube apps,No JIO apps,Office package is just useless in Windows phone.Nobody going to buy Windows phone.Microsoft itself accepted that Windows OS is the bad choice if we go for the Smartphone.

  • not even close

  • Best phone ever.best battery life ever

  • Hello Just upgrade you phone to windows ten by downloading upgrade advisor after upgrading download APKTOWIN 10M INSTALLER on your pc then connect your already upgraded phone then install android apps on your lumia

  • What about Microsoft office apps.Microsoft Office works much better in Android and iOS without any restrictions unlike Windows OS having so many restrictions in its own Office apps.Even apps developers are least interested towards Windows apps.If Windows phone is better then why it's going to close it's market share is very very poor.Don't defend Windows phone I had Lumia 640 XL it's a nice phone but but Windows OS is not as user friendly as that of Android and iOS.Day by day Android and iOS doing much better and provide easier user experience than its earlier versions. Unlike Windows OS going to be more and more complicated and much complex user experience.Windows 10 still not optimised and Earlier Windows version 8.1 will not receive any further update.

  • Some people complain about its high price tag of $799 but that's just half truth, Enterprises which are allied with HP for PC supplies can avail special corporate discounts. The firm I work in has this facility too, since HP is the PC vendor for our firm we can get this phone at a manageable price of $650 which is quite okay.

  • wow, SD820 and Windows 10? It will fly

  • Everything is great about this phone other than its size, it's bit too huge for normal users. Of course you're a Lumia 1520 user then this device is the perfect upgrade for you.

  • If this machine runs better than my 1520 then yes its on par with note 7 and iPhone 7. To be honest my 1520 is on par with them

  • So true and this HP looks like a good replacement for my 1520 running windows 10. When the price e drops that is.

  • That's BS. Android OS is the equivalent of whack-a-mole and IOS is waaaay over rated. Seriously dude, you need to use a Windows 10 Mobile for a while before you lay down the smack... I've got a 1020 and it's rocking along with the last Windows 10 Mobile fast release that it was allowed to have before they cut it off from the updates. It's still the best phone I've seen, however, I have not seen an HP Elite x3 yet... hopefully soon.

  • Actually you are wrong; I'm on WindowsPhone (7, 8, 8.1, and now 10) platform for 6+ years long and it does a really good job for me: it is reliable, fast, has all the apps i need, and it does not start working really slow in time as android OS does; Also it's not as pricey as Apple products; If you don't like it just don't buy it...

  • I would like to buy this phone

  • Few apps may be better but Android and iOS is much better than than Windows 10.S7 camera is the greatest among the all Smartphone till date. And iOS apps quality is just unbearable.Windows poor quality apps will never ever come close to it.Windows 10 having so many bugs Microsoft takes almost two year for its development but finally they loss the game and as a result no Limits lineup in future Windows phone game almost close to an end.According to the roumers Microsoft looking for the Linux based OS for its surface smartphone.Actually Microsoft gaining profit by developing apps for iOS and Android.Microsoft most popular Office apps serves much better with Android and iOS and same office application having lots of restrictions with its own Windows OS.Even Staya Nadal accepted that Windows OS is not the ideal OS for the Smartphone.T hats why he neglecting Lumia phone and concentrating over the development of Cloud Storage ,Xbox and Hololense project .

  • Dear GsmArena Pls do complete review on HP Elite x3 and lenovo. Vibe p1 turbo...

  • Got a hands on demo with HP Vendors, private session for our office. They are coming by next week for a high-profile demo for leadership. It doesn't come with a stylus but supports 3COM interface for a stylus. Looks like a sweet bit of gear, we're gonna get a few to test with full network integration...something we've been extremely recalcitrant to do with iOS/Android since our entire business network is moving to Win10.

  • As a user of iPhone 6 and S7 Edge (and as a previous owner of Lumia 735) - I'll tell you - I miss my Lumia 735 - despite its shortcomings (lack of apps),.. Microsoft created an almost perfect OS for mobiles but sad that Satya is not interested in improving the platform just to prove that his opposition to acquisition of Nokia is right... Surface Phones may be a game changer - but until then HP Elite X3 would be good.. I don't want to compare XP Elite X3 with S7 or iPhone 6. I will compare these two mobiles with Lumia 735 - may be apt... Camera quality of Lumia 735 is on par with S7 Edge.. Audio recording is fantastic - much above both of these phones... Screen Quality - On par with S7 Edge... I like the tiles - it is mesmerizing if you get it properly.... There is absolutely no lag... I had a lag with S7 - though not much with iPhone... All the three mobiles required restarts due to hanging / slowing down as am a heavy user... I receive Windows Mobile 10 updates faster than Android / iOS - kind of re-assuring... Almost every app looks better in Windows Mobile 10 than S7 / iOS... Try ICICI banking app, Axis Banking App, Flipkart, IRCTC App, etc - most of these apps are much better on windows than any other platform owing to Microsoft Design guidelines....

  • so true

  • OK But you have to know that Microsoft office having so many limitations over Windows Mobile but same Microsoft working brilliantly with the Android and iOS.After Windows 10 update Windows OS is more complicated and full of bugs.Earlier I was Windows phone user but after using Windows 10,I finally I come to the conclusion that Windows phone is just pathetic.I personally fell that We can do lots over Android and iOS.I hardly found any useful advantages over Windows phone. And after the update Windows OS become more and more complicated unlike Android and iOS getting more and more user friendly. Its totally depends Upon your choice. If you like Windows then it's OK.

  • all depends on what you use your phone for. I've used all platforms, and for me, windows is the only acceptable OS out there. I use my phone for business, I couldn't care less about apps beyond the standard social media apps, because I need good cameras, memory, office applications, a good integrated email and messaging system, and Microsoft out does apple and android in majority of these. If you want to game, do other creative stuff, sure, the other platforms might be better.

  • On which department HP Elite X3 is better than S7 and iPhone 7 will you please elaborate me.I am much excited to know that hidden goodness of Windows phone.

  • Try upgrading it to windows 10 mobile redstone build you will enjoy it

  • Try upgrading the phone to Windows 10 mobile redstone build you will enjoy more

  • You can use gigabit ethernet on it by a USB Type-C to gigabit ethernet adapter. For YouTube go for Awesome Tube, it has all the features of the official YouTube client including uploads and has an extra ability to download videos to your device.

  • I got mine on Thursday. This is my first windows phone. So still trying to get used to it. Here're couple of observations so far 1. Turning into a desktop is very easy. Put the phone on cradle and put your keyboard/mouse usb adapter to it. Connect the DisplayPort to monitor. It works beautifully. Edge works almost like full desktop. Performance not up to a laptop, but acceptable. Websites are displayed as full website, not like phone version. 2. Iris scanner works, but with my first attempt I have to bring it close to my eye to make it work. It struggles when there's no light on face. Surface book work like a dream 3. Can't find finger print scanner settings 4. Battery life seems to be excellent (As expected) 5. Connecting to TV using Microsoft wireless adapter is nice. Youtube videos are exactly same as any computer played on TV. 6. Once connected to desktop, WhatsApp doesn't work 7. Once connected to desktop or wireless, phone become touch pad (may old news for those who already owned windows phone) 8. Not any bigger than my Nexus 6 9. Has wireless hotspot (one of my requirement) 10. USB OTG (connecting your camera card reader - SD and XQD) works great. I got a small USB c to regular USB adapter and it works. Any tips and tricks with windows phone welcome :)

  • Comparing note7 vs iPhone 7 vs x3 .....X3 is 100% better than all

  • but would you be mad enough to pay 900$ for a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge?

  • Actually most of the buyers would love to have a desktop computer in their pockets, trust me!

  • Check out Windows Central unboxing video of this phone, it comes in a huge box with dock.

  • I said a family member not my family member. We trying to look at all possibilities where the fingerprint scanner can be beaten easily.

  • Jeez your family sound lovely haha

  • I saw some comments that this phablet is using a Mobile derivative of Windows 10 - not the full blown W10. Is that true? If it is any incarnation other than full W10 - than my wait is over. I used Windows phones for many years since WM6 - but no more. Also, I do like to have a stylus (I use one in my Note 7 for handwriting and sketches extensively) - does it have a capability to use Surface stylus? Thanks for any shedding of light. Vladimir

  • If ur asking of it comes with one then no

  • as far as i know... no

  • Can anyone tell me , this phone have surface pen or not?

  • Please put OIS and DIS on the camera and make a slim smart case with metal/alloy side bumper with a camera botton and zoom in/out and a mirror back design of the case :) :) :) i think this would be great since this phone has pogo pins

  • Its not essential but still a good feature to have.

  • No need for stylus, because you can use a mouse and a keyboard for more business productivity. Stylus is old school now.

  • Not no one care, speak for yourself cos I do care about turning my phone to a desktop. It makes me more productive. Secondly iris scanner is far more secured than fingerprint scanner. Fingerprint scanner allows someone else (especially a family member) swipe your finger on your device while you are asleep, thereby gaining access to your device without you know. I guess that's why Samsung note 7 included iris scanner. If you don't like a thing doesn't mean others must hate it as well.

  • Well it mostly has its features and no one cares about turning a phone into a desktop and it has an iris scanner...

  • Killed it what?

  • Would be killer device if it had stylus with surface pen like functionality. People of business would rush and give long queue to buy it.

  • I use a lot of mobile websites. And proper websites. I pin them to screen as a tile. And it's better than chopped up apps. And I personally think it's the way a lot of sites will go in future. It's more cost affective. Apps are expensive to make. I fact I think chrome is going this way within 2 years

  • nokia will be making adnroid from now on since microsoft sold them. I agree sony has the best desgined phones in the market. This phone is beast spec wise. Is hp going to pave the way for best windows phones?

  • Dual sim model must also have dedicated slot, to its usefulness and popularity

  • '''''

  • I would love to see Sony making a phone with Windows 10, and new Nokia devices to adopt Windows 10 and not only android in their upcoming phones. I am a big fan of Sony design and have used many Sony Ericsson phones back in the day.

  • Like what exactly? What is it that you're comparing? I'd say that this HP is like an updated 950 XL: slightly larger, SD 820 vs 810, 4 GB vs 3 GB, 30% more battery. Other pros: front-facing speakers (ugly, IMHO) and a B&O partnership (very cool, IMHO). The camera is actually a downgrade from the 950 XL though. For the record, I love this HP but it is a little large for my usage. Hopefully the attention will allow HP to make more Window Mobile devices.

  • Why not Microsoft do like this?

  • Phablet for business, good device with a great OS. I am a Lumia user and this phone is really the flagship, but too big for me. Still it's the phone to beat, HP done well... with this device you really get some work done.

  • Why.. A full blown pc in pocket is stupid.. Far to small

  • I have to say I am Disappointed that it is going to be Windows 10 Mobile. When I first saw this I read somewhere it was going to be Full Windows 10 and was actually interested in it. I want a Device to run full Windows Applications that fits in my Pocket to Eliminate the need for my Stream 7.

  • I am not that mad to buy a 700$ windows phone. Price sucks

  • Spot on mate

  • Hopefully gsmarena will give this sucker a full review treatment. It's a full spec'd Windows flagship of which I'm very curious about.

  • I don't think it is out of line. Price is very similar to a other Snapdragon 820 phones with 64GB of memory.

  • Lol wise up

  • Price Sucks

  • Dont get the wrong idea. This is not a everyday consumer handset. This is a phone people work with. 6" display is cleary better for office tasks than a smaller one.

  • "You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new." Quoted Steve Jobs You have to show the market what they need, and I think this HP elite x3 is a beast with much innovation. Produce a phone with faster processer, higher ram, better camera is not innovation.

  • Yes a big price drop and it might be the successor of my Lumia 930. This is a real beast for sure, what a phone...

  • First big price drop on this mother and she will be mine... Oh yes, she, will, be, mine...

  • They should seriously consider releasing a mini version of this phone with same specs and 5" screen, don't get me wrong, the specs of the phone are nice but at 5.96" it caters to a rather niche segment of buyers, most probably ex Lumia 1520 users would jump into HP Elite X3 bandwagon but such an oversized device is an absolute no no for ex Lumia 930 users.

  • you can buy any other garbage with security problems

  • Next Big Thing

  • who are you anyway . hp is huge

  • Its hp so its trash!! The only good in thos phobne probably is the Sd820 and B&O speaker and nothing more..,

  • Going to preorder it

  • I think this best phone 5.9 inch i use lg g pro 2 5.9inch its size better but price is too high...

  • If in 5 inch or 5.5 inch this phin is a beast and direct rival to galaxy series.

  • This is a great phone..exellent hardware and software..top branded device..unlike samsung..this is something..best class mobile for businessman..thank you hp..

  • hey why u using windows 10 in 520. its not officialy available to 520..

  • Hi Firstly: HP Elite X3 According to Spec is excellent! Secondly: what's display type in Elite X3!? Thirdly: Seriously! I wanna Elite X3 !! Fourthly: But! Elite X3 is super expensive! Alas!! I can't!!! ...

  • I have Lumia 930, which is a fair mobile device and it is very slow and not because of the phone but because of OS. The devices are slow because of the WM 10 and even their own apps such is the Store, the Calculator etc. are slow. The WM 10 is not bad as operation platform but it is very slow. I thought with this device that the issue will be solved but it seems this is the cancer of this OS.

  • Galaxy is really milking the design of phone. Zzzz boring. If I'm spending this amount of money on phone it has to be different.

  • Just seen un boxing on YouTube. Gives you good idea on what its really like. It's a real nice phone. Think I will pre order now instead if note 7.

  • You cant do nothing else. Seriously like.

  • I dont know why other people said smoothy. But for me is laggy. I switch back my 1 year old lumia 540 to my 2 years old android lenovo S650. Although my lenovo is not faster than my new android phone, but is faster than my lumia 540. Upgrade to windows 10 not help. Keep loading when open apps. Dont have do not disturb and whitelist call function. for me WP is basic phone not smartphone. I cant do anything else, only phone call and send message.

  • Note7 killed this

  • This superb device is awesome, HP did a good job. I'd probably buy it if I was willing to spend much money on the latest hardware but for now my Lumia 930 is still good enough. This Elite a real smartphone and not meant for the Pokemon Go kids. I think this is the best Windows device to date with the most complete package you can get. The Lumia 950 and 950XL are almost a year old already.

  • It may not be a viable option for PokemonGo players and that's OK. This is not made for the gamers, hipsters (that's Apple's territory) or for the tweakers (Android has that nailed). Is everyone asleep here ? Why is it so difficult to believe another OS outside of Android and iOS can be of any serious use to the enterprise ? (ok i cannot believe i just asked such a stupid question) This is an exceptional phone by function only, and because there's not a million fart apps and trivial games makes it a bad OS ? Let's see the ones reviews, it will sell. HP has done a good thing bringing this device to market. If you need games and flash and style, get the latest Samsung or iPhone !

  • How can you compare 31/2 year old low end device with high end device of recent time and that to unsupported os. "it has been force close after playing youtb video on edge browser" r u using fast ring/slow ring OS which is used for testing. Tell me honest this device come with WP8 and upgradable to WP8.1(which should be working fine) and currently you run windows 10 can you first do it in Android where 3 year old low end device upgrading to two major OS revision. Dont spread the rumors. WP is definitely better in upgrade and It doesn't lag as other OS

  • Hopefully you will find all the apps. you want especially as the WP global market share is now under 1% and falling. I would like an alternative to Android but I don't see it as WP and it definitely isn't IoS. And I don't hate MS or Windows by the way. I have run almost every single build of Windows 10 from the last 12 to 18 months. I just don't see WP as a viable option any more.

  • This is great. Finally a proper non Android phone. Aren't people tired of the same "I have the biggest specs Android device" chant? It's gotten old guys, get over it, Android is a dead OS, and before you jump on me and droid troll me, will the smoothest best rendered OS stand up please (Android and iOS need not apply). Anyone who wishes for Android on this beast I liken to a person who pollutes. Putting Android on such a well balanced and designed/spec'd device I liken to throwing oil into a pure stream of water. I make no apologies, for me who's into business use, it couldn't be more perfect. It's the age of the super phone, I don't look forward to any positive reviews from iOS/Apple or Google/Android fans when they finally get it and it's reviewed. This is what a smartphone is supposed to be. Oh and no people like myself don't give a flip about PokemonGo Or come, utter nonsense. I believe this could revive life into one of the best mobile OS's on the planet. But of course there's and Android/iOS chorale who would only wish to tarnish this device. HP has listened to enterprise and given them what they asked for, all other consumers can go pick up the Galaxy Note 7/8/9 and the iPhone 7/8 whichever number suits you. This is a serious device and I can't wait to try it.

  • They are already taking pre release orders on the phone. Rumor has it HP wants to sell directly to companys, not through retail.

  • If Windows phone could run Android apps. natively I would have been on this in a second. Although not a totally fair comparison this is what the Note 7 should have been in many ways. If they did this with Android I would snap it up in a shot, as I suspect would many others.

  • Guys I think HP will not selling this product, this is only for their advertisement to talk about their name (Not to forget they precious brand) because they already mention that they will stay away now to smartphone business. This is part of their April Fool's Day, hahahahahaha. Even Microsoft its self already stop creating windows phone product but I think they will start the new episode next year the surface phone. If you can wait them next year, maybe you can hold Windows Phone again. Good Luck to Windows Phone users :-).

  • I want a W10 OS and better than Lumia so this is right on the money......but it needs to be a phone first and so this is way too big.......shame as this is a deal breaker for me. Note to HP shrink to 5.2" and I'm in!

  • 5.96" is way to big..how i wish it was 5.0"-5.2"..for this reason..i can't buy a 5.96"

  • Lets see if they launch in India.

  • Seems dock would have HP propriety charger & might be that ppl. need to carry extra charger. Can HP do this mistake?

  • What about heating problem in hp

  • looks like it does not support indian 4g bands . dreams shattered :(

  • only thing more I wanted is a dedicated expansion slot on dual sim instead of making choice between sim and sd card

  • When This device be launched at Philippines??

  • yes it is lag. i'm holding my lumia 520 right now and it has been force close after playing youtb video on edge browser. the keyboard always lag everytime i tap chat box or text box, i can't type right away and have to wait until it respon. come on don't spreading lies. windows phone is lag that is facts. actually iphone did lag too, my ipod touch 2G for example can't be use to type anymore because the keyboard so slow, freeze and lag. so it is a common thing.

  • This phone would have been great if Microsoft had fixed horrible Web rendering issues and stability issues. Even Initial windows 10 phone still had Web rendring issues. Windows phone absolutely no lag in Web browsing and no lag in typing text. So did Microsoft finally fixe Web rendering (half of websites don't display properly) and stability issues (many Web pages freeze) ?

  • Please advise when GSMarena will do a review on this?

  • continum, windows hello and Cortana is not necessary for enterprise, those are standard features.

  • This phone is for enterprise market. Consumer market is well good for android. Let professionals use continum, windows hello and cortana. We don't need them. If anyone want to taste windows10m, go for lumia 640. After using i can say this is the best phone to use under the price.

  • This phone is about to be crazy, given the fact that windows doesn't really need a powerful SoC to run smooth, this phone is gonna have like....no lag or studders

  • As I have said... No need to prove yourself...

  • Dearest readers. The best Windows smatdevice in recent years that can be Microsoft guidance for its next lumia 640 LG LTE 4G plus or its future coming MICROPHONES!!OF course, this Taphlet could have been better with Bluetooth 5 or 4.2+all its auxiliaries,WIFI direct and DLNA!Maybe in Windows 10.2 they could be modified by HP with Microsoft assistance hopefully!?About the price:Unfortunately almost $800 that not everyone from general worldwide public can have ONE!!!Why!!!?Complete gsmArena review may answer to this incompleteness!!Thanks but asking about price reductions,so I can have this TAPHLET in my Virtual Grand Dream Musiem!!Hopefully,Yes!!!?Justice Rights.Omid12omidvar.Only Hope.

  • you can run android apps windows. check it out on youtube

  • This is like THE perfect phone, why couldn't they make an Android version also *sigh*

  • It had got all premium components and it gonna be sold at physical stores too... So the pricing you're expecting will make them follow losses

  • Really..? National disaster..? Are listening to yourself...?...... A biiiiig looooool.......

  • It looks the otherway round. Do some research before calling others stupid. There is already an FM chip present on almost all SOC including 820. In case of serious national desaster, when cell networks are down, FM radio will save lives.... But these manufacturers include apple deliberately disable to chip to force people consume data. Please enlighten people if cell network is down, say due to a cyclone or earthquake how will the user of this phone may get an emergency alert? Or should he carry a FM radio too...

  • to be honest with you nobody cares about your request(same as mine) as all design is presumably carried out by women's who think that "bigger is better"...

  • well said

  • There are such low minded people who look in the top most phones and say torch is missing, radio is missing, toothpick is missing..... Those who buy this phone will have this phone connected to Internet all the time. They can get any stupid things like FM radio stations, TV channels whatever they want... The people who owns Nokia keypad phones complains no radio, no torch....... Grow up...... If you don't wanna buy it then don't. Just stop complaining about stupid things......

  • You can wait couple of years to reach price that much.....

  • Good bye nokia :(

  • It will comme with this for sure : » HP Elite x3 » HP Elite x3 (ENERGY STAR) » HP Elite x3 Anti-Fingerprint Screen Protector » HP Elite x3 Anti-Shatter Glass Screen Protector » HP Elite x3 Base Model » HP Elite x3 Desk Dock » HP Elite x3 Passive Stylus » HP Elite x3 Privacy Screen » HP Elite x3 Rugged Case » HP Elite x3 Wallet Folio Case » HP Elite x3 Wireless Charger

  • Having a Microsoft Lumia 550 Win10 mobile, the one major drawback it has is its slow speed. Else everything perfect. Wish HP comes with a similar 4.7" screen phone( I hate bigger phones), with good speed, light weight, good display, sound, easy on the pocket. Hope someone listens.

  • The HP Elite x3 smartphone features a 5.96 inch AMOLED multi-touch display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. It comes with a dust and water resistant 11 and designed MIL-STD 810G testing.

  • Nop...

  • In typical HP fashion it'll be overpriced, best phone at the moment sgs7 or ZTE Axon 7 or wait for the note 7

  • This is an enterprise corporate smartphone. Don't expect to find it in your local t-mobile store. It wasn't conceived to play games or procrastinate with chat apps.

  • specs wise its awesome but the thing is can it compete with android app eco-system and its features like finger print scanner , VR and al that . most of the apps are not available into windows store and if they are , its totaly old each.

  • Don't expect this to be cheap. In fact I bet on 800 eur +. It's extremely well built, Bang&Olufsen speakers and Windows Continuum support.

  • waiting for its price, i see it cool

  • add radio please

  • From the spec wise it is indeed a flagship killer..............i liked it but in the end please don't sell it too expensive like Galaxy S7 Edge or Iphone 6s Plus. Place the price range between Huawei P9 Plus/Mi5/Zenfone 3 Deluxe........USD399-USD459.

  • hp elite x3 release date too late others have now overtaken it, especially with the new iPhone 7 release date just around the corner.

  • Dearest....One of the best HP,s smartDevices ever been built! Also the best Microsoft,s Windows made!!Undoubtedly the first HP,s and the second Microsoft,s smartphone that goes to the high ends!!!To embrace full popular success in sales,Hp must logically brings down the price in a level that all smartphones enthusiasts are able to have one!!Possible!!!?Yes!Why not!?Microsoft 950 XL LTE is in the high ends with the possible ultimate qualities in Windows 10 segment but price is....!!!?Anyway,HP elite X3 is the best quality Windows made but the best judge is the worldwide general public that usually have no access to high, higher, and the highest level! Why!?Just the highest price!!!We should remember that India is the first or second largest markets in the world with the best knowledgebase smart true logical commentators!!In the end, congregations to the HP too+Microsoft endeavors committed TO ITS OBLIGATIONS and words....!Thanks all.Justice Rights.Omid12omidvar.

  • it looks like the beast is coming. its a true flagship phone for windows 10 mobile. Hp must make more phones like it.

  • Impressive battery life bt am disappointed the radio is missing

  • Removable Battery, is this correct ?

  • How much is this phone??? They should atleast put a cat 6 LTE. Aside from that nice specs HP

  • Device looks solid, spec -wise. Too big for my taste though. 5'' or 5,5'' would have been better IMHO.

  • ..now if only we could install Android on it, it would be perfect :D

  • Dearest gsmArena followers and friends. The written specifications here implicitly shows that it must be a high end smartphone windows that for the first time I see HP considers to release such a high end one similar to Microsoft 950 XL LTE 4G!However GSM,s review will prove this HP,s efficiency and qualities!Hopefully,HP releases some data history for the public to know and have more knowledge about the HP,since as I heard HP usually works and produces tablets....Of course a good reasonable price for this high end quality phablet is the first door for HP,s future much more progresses in smartphone successful ascendings for sure!Nevertheless I congratulate HP for the first good start test with Microsoft Windows. Thanks+good luck all.Hopefully those whom use the phablet notify the public about everything they consider for the others important about it in design, features and performance....Thanks again.Justice Rights.Omid12omidvar.

  • I feel like knocking off a few liquor stores so I can get this phone next month.

  • Once again, it looks like Verizon customers will get screwed over on a flagship phone. No 700MHz Band 13, which is Verizon's main LTE band. Sounds like the Lumia 950XL all over again. :(

  • Elite phone. .. Pure premium phone ... But the biggest prob!!! The company has plans for corporate sell only ... Da specs indicate DA same .. Hope it gets public ... This is truely an awesome phone with win 10..

  • No unlike before this time the updates will be supported, earlier in Windows Phone 8.1 Microsoft gave the OS customization option to manufacturers, due to this reason Lumia had its own exclusive apps and HTC 8X and M8 WP had many of their exclusive apps but with Windows 10 Mobile they've changed things. Now nothing is manufacturer exclusive, even Lumia Camera has been replaced with universal Microsoft Camera. By maintaining standardized OS elements across all devices Windows 10 Mobile ensures equal upgrades for all devices.

  • If I opt for a non-Lumia and/or non-Surface phone, this is likely to be my choice, but it has to be asked whether two years from now will this device be supported by Microsoft or will they do like they just did with HTC One M8 for Windows device owners despite having flagship specs being deliberately denied the gold release of Windows 10 Mobile and also despite being able to run the Windows Insider builds as of this typing up to 10.0.318 thus far? Anybody care to take a crack at this? Also as of this typing Microsoft is now selling the Lumia 950XL with a buy one and get the Lumia 950 free. Sales have been dismal thus far. And now Microsoft it's feature phone business to FIH Mobile and Nokia name is poised to make a comeback despite Nokia itself not building the phones.

  • Request #1:Make a slim metal casing with camera button and the casing should same design of HP elite x3. #2:make the camera that can capture a clear image. #3:come out soon i can't wait anymore :)

  • removable battery, sdk slot, and at 64 gigabytes that should be enough download the whole windows store. I am buying one this summer.

  • Radio is Important on Mobile devices these days. Folks have not time for relaxing and listening to home systems anymore.

  • Make the camera capture a clear image please

  • Looks very good.

  • Why not put FM Radio, i thought this device had everything that i needed/need.

  • It is very expensive phone but I buy it any how .......

  • Hopefully the engineers are back running the place, not the Wall Street types whose only god is the P/E report every quarter.

  • Yep, the HP Spectre is damn impressive.

  • Android is for kids? ...That proves how much you know, and your ability to make a valid argument or a point. No more comments. No need.

  • HP are starting to produce devices that can take on and beat Apple, whether it's phones or laptops. I'm suddenly an HP fan. Make that one, no give me two!!

  • This is amazing! Is there a dedicated camera button? If there isn't they should add one.

  • If you want an Android device with such specs then better wait for Nubia X8 or go for LeEco Le Max Pro. However do remember that none of them have mil-spec ruggedness and Bang & Olufsen sound system. And since they run on Android so you won't get Continuum feature and Laptop style Continuum dock for them. And of course with a screen size of 6.44 inch the LeMax Pro is bit too huge.

  • "would"

  • No it won't, this phone is meant for Enterprise consumers and for Enterprise consumers Windows 10 Mobile is way better for Android. Android is just good for kids who play Candy Crush and walk around sending retarded clips and pics via Snapchat. Corporate software like OneDrive, Office Lens, Microsoft Remote Desktop, Lync work better on Windows moblile devices. Android lacks the stringent security of Windows Phone.

  • Would be my perfect phone if it ran android.

  • The camera may not sound impressive by mega pixel figures but rest be assured the camera sensor is quite large, so low light photos would be great on this phone. Remember mega pixels ain't everything on a camera.

  • I hope atleast they make a accesories a slim case and a clear type of case to see the natural beauty or design of HP elite x3 with a lens fit for its 16 mp to make it clearer its camera and put camera botton put it together and then boom its will be really a great phone ,this is my recomend please make one :)

  • Since the camera is a bit down, at least please make a phone casing for this with camera botton with lence on it, "a slim case" that would be really cool

  • OMG! Such a waste of good hardware! Put Android on it! Don't let it waste like that.. :( Oh well.. Another good opportunity gone down the drain.

  • Unless some manufacturer releases a device with the new Intel Atom X5 or X7 processor till then we can't. Apparently Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe gonna be powered by Atom X7, and Crossover company is in the process of making their Wine based Windows app player for all x86 and x64 based Android devices. So be patient because very soon you would be able to run your desktop apps on your phones.

  • 4k video recording being absent is weird. They really cant left behind anything, not even a minor detail if they want to compete with android (ios is a joke) 4k recording with that 16mp camera is a must. I love my 4k capabilities and i am not downgrading...

  • When we can run win32 apps nativly and not a few selective ones, then its game over for all. Windows phone will be my daily driver, and for ever. Till i confirm this is happening, i wait.

  • If this was running on android, it would've been sold like the hottest cake..

  • I believe this device is for another crowd. Yes some good work cn take place on the note 5/6, however, W10M/Windows 10 is still seen as the mainstay in big business, i agree it's a debatable topic too. The crowd buying the HP EliteX3 won't be gamers per se, so the crowd is different. There's a niche for a device of this caliber, too bad it isn't the mass market, and yes dual booting android would be absolutely idiotic, if you want an android phablet, the Chinese are making more than enough, get one of theirs. This is a serious device form all claims.

  • Why would someone wish to ruin a beautifully laid out bit of hardware with Android ? Who's the tool who wants Android on this monster ? Android doesn't deserve such lovely HW, then what ? No updates ? Carrier dependence which is utter rubbish ? Come on give me a break, it's pretty nice as it is with W10M. Can't wait for it to be release. Maybe the disruptive device of the year.

  • i used windows phone before and the os looks sick but the store is so bad,a lot of apps are missing

  • The only one flagship complete features, huh? Big mah enough and removable battery, sensors, usb type c, water friendly, dual sim, corning gorilla glass 4, etc. Any other can beat it? Tell me, what phone is it

  • Exceptional cool phone from HP, Windows flagship. Bring it on.

  • if it just had 5.7 screen size and android on it that would be mine

  • Well in that case I would suggest you to go for an unlimited data plan. Believe me for a heavy internet user it is best to opt for an unlimited data plan.

  • Browse about using windows 10 lose internet quota by yourself for now, because i have problem with my gsmarena account. My old phone is too slow, i make mistake

  • I have some problem with my gsmarena account couse my old phone, it's too slow but don't worry about it -i'm stil the same, far- it'snt about "switch over to" i'm indonesian, and i don't know wher am i on. But it's about windows 10 news from internet: - some people lose their internet quota at windows 10 on phones and laptops - microsoft work together with FBI on spying windows 10 users - we need microsoft spy destroyer - there are so many update and upgrade version - microsoft told there are so many cloud backup and you need to turn off all automatic backup things - microsoft will launch special fix update about loosing internet quota i want dual boot and use internet on android with no worries about loosing it

  • -still the same man, far- It'snt about switch over to, i'm indonesian and i don't know where am i on. But, it's about microsoft. There are some news on internet. Microsoft work together with FBI on spying windows 10 users we need microsoft spy destroyer, there are so many update and upgrade windows version, microsoft tells there are so many cloud backup you need to turn off all of them and will give special update to fix it. I want dual boot to browsing on android with no worries about loosing internet quota

  • I know news from internet. Some people have lost their internet quota at windows 10 on phones or laptops. Microsoft works together with FBI on spying windows 10 users and we need microsoft spy destroyer. Microsoft tells that cause come from cloud backups and will give special update to fix it. I want dual boot for browsing on android and FAR from loosing internet quota cause from microsoft things

  • Hi, i'm indonesian. my friends use windows 10 on phones or laptops and tell me that windows loses their internet quota fastly, and i get some news from internet that microsoft is spying on us work together with FBI we need microsoft spy destroyer or something like that. At some news, microsoft tells something about losing internet quota that we have to turn off all cloud backup things and say that they will launch special update to fix that. Do you belive it? I've nothing to say about it, i use win8.1. not 10

  • Well, that was odd. Can you explain me how Windows 10 would make you lose your Internet quota? Are you on Verizon, well in that case I would advise you to switch over to AT&T or T-Mobile to enjoy Windows 10 powered phones.

  • It has windows 10 operating system and would make me lose my internet quota. Can i dual boot it? HTC could do it

  • Hey, just FYI Card slot microSD, up to 2 TB and NOT 200 GB (dedicated slot)

  • Indeed, it just makes me laugh, but hay the internet is full of people without minds of their own. :)

  • more durable low cost technology should be concider

  • hahaha beat me to it. They just keep blabbing about android. I have an android phone (Nexus 5x) but give me a break, let an android manufacturer go make something like this if they want. HP has made this with Windows 10 Mobile and I plan to pick one up exactly as it is made.

  • Buzz off Android fanboy, this phone ain't for people like you. Windows 10 powered devices with Continuum are much better for professionals than half baked Androids.

  • Shoo shoo...go away Android no one needs you here.

  • Go away..........its a windows phone off you pop.

  • this is my dream phone, all those specifications i need in a single phone is in this phone,my version phone, but disappointing point is no andriod on this phone,,,huh,,,will i be able to install lolipop/marshmallow on this phone?is it a true 16mp phone or its a 16mp sensor phone?some words for HP-plz launch the same phone with same specification with android marshmallow and try increase the processor to octa core...

  • Is this phone available with android installed on it?can i install android on this phone,Android 5 or 6,Marshmallow?

  • I wonder if this phablet can use a stylus for handwriting and art? Saw no mention...

  • Your looking at it as just a phone. It is much more then that when you look at what it will give each individual user, the ability to have a mobile desktop with them. Phone side apart this device will be fantastic to people constantly on the go and working. Plus the full power of the smart phone it self. Its fantastic new direction for the mobile phone market. I am excited to see this phone in action and up close.

  • I think it's Most likely to be priced like other high end flagships from what the HP representative said.

  • Users saying that this phone should be smaller, or that they won't take business from Samsung of the Priv seem to have forgotten that this phone isn't truly being marketed to them. While it will essentially take the rest of Blackberry's "niche", Consumer based suppliers are not it's competition. Enterprises are the target audience, not you and I (even though we still find it fascinating).

  • Well thats the trend with sony unveiling number of sizes, and with even plans for more. Samsung do it too with 7,7e,6+ but more sizes they out in mid-range, similar microsoft but they are yet to be periodical. I don't get why someone use hard keys after win shape writing demo. I don't see hp to release 2 sizes, they are probably happy to release 1 phone, but mil rating is still cool. May spirit of 808 descend to WS1050.

  • Indeed, I agree with you that for Note users who want to change to a Windows phone, it is hands down the best option, other than that it is a great option for those who are looking to upgrade from Lumia 1520 but I still won't call it a competition for 6S and Priv because the phone is kinda too big to appeal the 6S users and as far as Priv users are considered I don't think this phone will attract them as it lacks a physical keyboard. However if HP makes a slightly smaller Windows Phone with same specs and slide out keyboard it'll surely decimate all other phones.

  • Note users would say something else. Once you get used to bigger screen you will want just the same or a bigger one - note6 should be 5.8 and this is not bad either. For now its hard to find device with similar specs even in android/ios realm. I really wish it to come soon, and for gsma to review it. There is no word of surface phone and this is the closest thing to best 5.7"+ phablet. Wonder if it will be enough in Q3 when note6,Z6,... comes out. Would it come out now, it woud be big difference.

  • My god, this is epic. if the price is right I'm definitely getting one.

  • This phone is near perfect upgrade for Lumia 1520 users. All they need to do is release it with more color options. Other than that they should also release a smaller version of this phone with 5.1 inch 2560x1440 resolution display, it'll cover the present Lumia 930 users too.

  • no, it is a windows 10 exclusive (for now) feature. The closest thing is firefox's bookmark sharing, that's from what i know

  • iris scanner is good for mobile

  • sure, does iPhone have Continuum ?

  • wonder how much

  • This is the phablet of my dreams. Exact size, good RAM, nice bodybuild… bring it on, HP!!!

  • I don't think it would pose competition to 6S and Priv. The problem with this phablet is its huge size. No matter how you see it 6 inch phablets aren't popular. Such large devices appeal to a niche segment of consumers. However if HP releases a smaller version of this device with same specs and a screen size between 5.1 to 5.4 inches then I'm quite sure it would give 6S and Priv one hell of a competition.

  • One of the high end in OS Windows .. well done HP

  • I phones cannot do a fraction of what a real phone can do

  • I will buy ds product, if price is affordable ,5/10k much more has a good quality too

  • But it is too big though. I could not put it comfortably in my pocket.

  • I haven't owned iPhone but I have bought an iPad Air 2 and I'm very disappointed already

  • no

  • Count HP Workplace with that.. Win32 apps can be run by a vertualized server. then almost every Win32 apps can run

  • Out there somewhere there is a device called iPhone try it worth every penny!!

  • Not a dual core. Google SD 820 architecture

  • Continuum is not an Proper Desktop Experience. Only Limited apps run. Yeah the look and feel is completely like a PC. Do you think Ppl are gonna use Windows just because of this. Answer lies in time.

  • It's not an error , It has 2X cores Clocked at Different Speeds @2.15 GHz and other 2X @1.6GHz. Hence a quadcore(2+2).

  • Best device in this Market yet, it can kick in any other devices' a** . Just waiting for a device with x86 chipset with Enhanced Continuum, which can run Win32 app natively unlike HP Elite X3 with a vertulized server

  • It has HP Workplace

  • Its not heavy :D its too light

  • 1. Nope !! Android will paralyzed this device !! Android don't have Continuum, no Workplace, no security, No desktop OS !! Its best at Windows 2. Nope ! It has HP Workplace, you can RUN Win32 apps

  • It has HP Workplace, It can run Win32 apps via a vertulized Server.

  • Do you ever heard about Continuum ? If not Google it ! Windows 10 Mobile = Windows 10 PC

  • Nope !! Android will paralyzed this device !! Android don't have Continuum, no Workplace, no security, No desktop OS !! Its best at Windows

  • This would be great if it had android on it

  • If you look up the snapdragon 820 its actually a quad core processor. the dual core is an error.

  • It will Boost the Market ..competing with the Iphone 6s or Blackberry Priv .. Everybody Looks of Better Cost Compared with the above two....

  • Business beast

  • I'm amaze cause o reviewed this phone cause i saw that its a gaming phone, and it is only dual-core, how fascinating

  • How about the battery? Since it is removable, can i buy a spare battery for it?

  • Great if it has a x86-64 processor, but how to put it into a phone of these size? How about a phone running on Windows and Android? Damn, where can I get one in Singapore?

  • probably

  • OTG Supportable??

  • Why Elite x3 ? Why not iPAQ something something?

  • The very same Lumia-engineers, team leaders and managers in the very same Building in Espoo, Finland. It was news here when a hired co. changed the sign on the roof. Also the papers now have "Microsoft" - or rather MS Mobile Oy" in the corner instead of the old "Nokia" or "Nokia Devices and Services" I still love the Lumia products from Microsoft Mobile, but I think this Hewlett Packard Elite is at this moment THE flagship!

  • I've owned a Lumia 950 for a couple of weeks now. Don't get too excited. Windows 10 Mobile isn't at the same quality level as Windows 10 PC. Windows 10 Mobile is still buggy as heck and it crashes more than just occasionally. External storage has been a bit buggy as well. There is also a big app gap with the Windows 10 Store in general. Strangely enough, if you asked me 3 years ago whether I would recommend Windows Phone 7.8, I would on a whim. Fast forward 3 years and I'm not so sure whether I'd recommend Windows 10 Mobile, especially in its current state. Maybe on basis of the UWP ethos, but is that really a good reason? If you buy into the Windows 10 ecosystem, you should be there for the long haul. At the moment, this HP phone looks like your best bet. One thing is for sure though: I wish I had that laptop thing for university. Definitely would've lightened up my backpack...

  • External screen touch support comes when the Mobile RedStone build is ready.

  • Why you so surprised? isn't that how people do business there is no friendship in business the more you backstabbing you do the better success you will have.

  • Move over Android! (maybe) Wow, this phone is PACKING! Would have liked to see 128gb internal but I THINK Windows handles external storage better than Android? Can someone elaborate on this? I purchased a macbook pro to see what the fuss was about and wound up installing Windows 10 since I really didn't like OS X. I really like Windows 10! While I like Android for my phone, it sure can be buggy and don't get me started on their tablets! This has the size and options I've been looking for in a long time. I'm going back to school and the phone/laptop would be perfect! I'm hoping HP might offer the Elite X3 at a lower price point or offer bundles/discounts with the dock or the laptop. I'd give this a try if the incentive was good enough! Does the mobile extender have a touch screen?

  • Very much looking forward to this device. And moreso, when we have a phone that will run a full version of Windows.

  • Just think it this way, Microsoft is just making devices like the nexus program of google, they bought Nokia but they never mind been the new Nokia (crazy i know), they show OEM how their products should be, they have been doing the same with the Surface line. Microsoft can't compete with their own partners, partners that have been a lot of time before the postPC era like HP. They want their partners making the hardware so they can focus making the software, that's their business, software and services. "if Lumia devices fail in the market and Microsoft incurs a big loss" they already have big money drains with Lumia (and not so long ago also with Surface). In any short or mid run Microsoft pretends to shut down its mobile OS, is to much important in their long run plans, UWP won't be complete without mobile market. "...but if it is priced too low..." in NO way will be priced too low, it's enterprise focus, it won't be cheap, also, (and now i'm just guessing) it'll only be sell with 2 accessories (that's why there is the x3 thing in the name, use it as 3 devices instead of 1) that would bump up its price. There are several posts in windows central explaining microsoft's plans in the long run for mobile (and their fail in the past explaining why they are in so bad position right now), your logic isn't that bad, but they are doing things different now, brand new things and we always scared about new unknowns things. For the device, i just love it, i didn't like the L1520 because its size, but with all that power and features, the size really doesn't matter for me (i rather smaller phones, i didn't bought the L1520, i when for the Lumia Icon and i feel is to big also for me, i'll rather 4.2" - 4.7" devices).

  • It uses snapdragon 820.. So the windows installed is not your desktop OS... That means everything they say about it being a notebook/desktop is a big fat lie.. Don't be fooled

  • Today notebook are over, why to have notebook and Smartphone, when we can have both in one. And in this case you need bigger screen higher than 5' to work everywhere. So it's good positioning for future. For example Lenovo is making more money with Smartphone and tablet than traditional PC market.

  • Just think it this way, if Lumia devices fail in the market and Microsoft incurs a big loss and discontinue Lumia then be sure that there would be a big probability that they would also discontinue Windows Phone OS. Who gonna roll up all Windows Phone updates after that? This phone is no doubt good but if it is priced too low to take over both Lumia 950 and 950XL then it will essentially sabotage the flagships of Lumia range and guess what if Lumia fails then be sure Microsoft would very soon drop Windows Phone from its portfolio.

  • And how is that not great for consumers? I really don't see an argument here. If the price is lower and the specs higher, it only means the 950 is overpriced. I don't mind this device. HP, you had me at Bang & Olufsen.

  • You got it all wrong mate, he was referring that oddball brand called LeTV as unfamiliar.

  • What r u saying dude, unfamiliar. Search google for HP (HEWLETT PACKARD) LAPTOPS COMPUTERS etc. ONE of the 2 leading brands in laptops and desktop PC are Dell and HP

  • The phone is great but I've to say right now HP surely has a rather crooked market policy. It buys OS licence from Microsoft but then instead of co-existing with Microsoft's own devices they try to destroy the market of Microsoft's devices. They tried to destroy the market of Surface Book by unveiling almost similarly specced but lower priced Spectre X360 and now they gonna try to sabotage the market of Lumia 950 and 950XL with this phone. Speak of absolute backstabbing market policy, these guys would receive an Oscar.

  • thnks mate...but the brand looks quite unfamilliar to me so i would not risk my money!!!

  • Well as far as I know there's a brand called LeTV who has unveiled a 6.33 inch Android smartphone with same specs (except that it has an IPS screen instead of OLED) but it is way too big, fat and bulky than Elite X3 and the brand is quite new in the market so I'm kinda skeptical about its quality and after sales service, other than that it is rumoured that ZTE X8 is gonna have the same specs and would have a 6 inch bezel-less screen.

  • Judging by the looks of this phone, one thing is quite clear. HP is clearly aiming for the business and corporate crowd. For youngsters the looks of this phone may not be that cool and flashy but yeah the simple look of this phone is perfect in business and corporate environment. This phone has the potential to appeal more matured customers who prefer more formal looking phones, most probably the ones who swear by their Blackberry right now would love to buy this phone.

  • So do these Businessmen usually fly to Mars?

  • This phone is dedicated to businessmen only.

  • not released yet! no qhd screen, only 32gb internal and 5.5'' screen only!

  • not the same dude...no removable back, no gorilla glass 4,no qhd screen, low pixel density, intel atom is too weak vs sd820 and hp has a modules to connect to a pc or laptop!

  • 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 on a Windows phone, holy mother of God, what the user of this phone gonna do with it, fly to Mars with all that power?

  • it's already exist, look for zopo 8.

  • Want! Greetings from Portugal 😎

  • Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. 4 Gb ram and quadcore intel 2,3 cpu with a great price.

  • I GUESS SO. I'm gonna save for this one 'til Christmas! Both S7 & G5 are excellent phones but X3 i think is superb & outstanding. I like it...

  • damn...if these specs is found in an android phone it will be the best one so far!!

  • bcoz lagdroid is for kids to play bubble saga

  • WP is a downside_ LOL

  • Is this will be available on the Philippines?

  • I do not like Lumia since owned by MS, Nokia Lumia is much better than MS Lumia in eveything. I think MS not genius enough to build a smart phone, I'm WP fans since 2 yeras ago and now looking for other brand.

  • A good idea - a PC in the pocket. Unfortunately, this is a ARM Snapdragon based platform which means it won't run most applications (MS Office is ok, but other applications are being used too)

  • MIL-STD 810G... interesting feature! Seems to be a mixed between S7 and... Caterpillar smartphone!

  • This model from HP has already got me hooked, I think i'll give the 950XL a miss for the HP Elite X3, I hope it sells in retail store in India. But, HP has plans to sell it only as an enterprise edition and would be not sold at retail outlets, that such bad new for something so spectacular.

  • Awesome Specs. Think of it and it's in it. This will surely Rock. Good move HP. This is gonna be killer.

  • THANK YOU HP....... Microsoft please take note of how to please your fans!!!

  • I am already sold on this, as soon as it comes on sale I will be buying it. Will probably get the continuum dock as well, not to sure on the extender, depends how much they sell it for! I've always flirted with WP and if google does release a suite of its apps for windows 10 then I am more than happy to move across. The majority of apps I use I can get on the windows store so no biggy and if the IOS bridge for apps happens then everything should be available in the store

  • Dream comes true.... Windows fans

  • I comment because I was frustated with my HP Spectre x360 i7 skylake, it can't connect wirelessly with HP officejet 150 all in one printer, my LG150 projector, miracast display adapter. So why buy premium gadget with non flexibility

  • I agree, it's too big, why are all full spec W10M phones so big. What's wrong with a 4 inch screen??

  • You omit to mention whether it has Qualcomm Quick Charging 3.0 or not, does it even has QC at all? It would be ashame if it didn't have it, everything else points it to be a flagship.

  • There will always be haters, why comment if you already all this features on your phone.

  • This is the most revolutionary phone coming out. I was seriously questioning switching from my beloved, Nokia Lumia 1020 to an iPhone, but HP out of all companies shocked me and changed my mind to stay on Windows Mobile. This is the future!

  • If you think your lagdroid can do this, you are out of your mind. Also, lagdroid will never be able to do this, hence the fact that it doesn't have a computer operating system.

  • The dock has Ethernet.

  • I was a WP guy for a long time. I believe the EQ is a firmware thing that came with Lumia Denim update (or maybe cyan). May not be available for BLU products

  • I could do this with simple on my android smartphone: Pesentation with miracast, printing with printershare, home monitoring with xiaomi mi smarthome, mi light, yi ant, remote computing with teamviewer, acer abfiles. How about this WP?

  • Screen is qhd but video is 1080p! That's quite not compatible.

  • My opinion: right now, android still the best smartphone operating system, simplicity, fun, good connectivity, complete ecosystem. True, its not comfortable doing office woork on a 6" display, too much accesories for serious office work.

  • A mobile phone suits for next generation.. Like an ultimate notebook..

  • Coming blackberry passport, this will ideally suited my needs size wise it's perfect, I don't require great deal of apps anyway, I'm finally willing to give windows mobile a try. This device is truly revolutionary just like the passport when it as announced back in 2014

  • With ethernet support this is the ultimate phone err PC :)

  • If this smartphone had: + stylus + FM radio and if the it's laptop extender had: + stylus + tablet mode I would buy it right now.

  • dudies! does someone know if other phones than Lumias on Win10 have all Lumia features? cause I've seen a Blu Win, that didn't have equaliser and some other things we have in Lumia

  • If it's Android then sure it's a blockbuster phone Cos Windows has a limited apps For Windows you don't required 4gb ram

  • It's too huge and heavy. The specs are good.

  • Waiting for it in Egypt soon

  • Isn't too big and too heavy? Looks like a mini tablet rather than a big phone. Check the size of your pockets before you buy it, may be too big to fit within.

  • I read somewhere is going world wide.

  • I am waiting foryou Elite. Please launch in india soon. Best windows phone of 2016

  • I think its for us only. There is nearly no market for high end wp outside. Only downside is WP

  • an IR blaster, front firing speakers and a wide angle camera would make it a perfect phone

  • Looks powerful but apps.....

  • Baby take my money :) ;)

  • fan here

  • lumia 950xl is the best of windows king. hp elite x3 main cons is no 4k video

  • this is a total beeeeaaaaasssssttttt!!! loving the specs here,.

  • Damnnn this phone is a complete beast. but does it have a android version?

  • It's really nice for businessman and people on the corporate

  • I just missed the lucky 7..however still proud to post as number 8. Dear HP, don't keep us waiting. Countdown already started to get this phone in my hand. Seriously for people like me who needs to do lot of office staffs on the go, there is no solution other than this. Perfect phone for business. HP= Horsepower (in business)

  • It looks good/good specs

  • Now that's what i call a complete phone, excellent hardware, just what I've been waiting for. Only 1 wish, why why why! Windows, why not Android!

  • I am the 6th and yes it carries killer specs.. Going to compete tuff in this Buggy Android oriented market.. Watch out Samsung and rest Androids....

  • Great phone, do they do one that will fit in my pocket??

  • I am four to say a comment and have to say phone looks more like chopping board than a phone. But its specs great battery, disk space, processor, ram and everything else looks gruesome. Like to say a flagship 2016 killer. Hope this chopping board wont cost more 5 hundred quids in euros.

  • I am 3rd.any news on the potential price?

  • I am the second,,, and i must admit that the phone is a beast!

  • I am the 1st fan! Also, this seems like a very good phone.
