Amazing phone. I switched to it from L430. It is a bit slower and has less RAM, but nonetheless it is compact, swift and comfortable to use with only one hand, it has a decent camera. I'm going to stick to it untill it dies since there are no longer good compact phones (even iPhone 5S/SE is too large -- too tall precisely).

I have this phone since almost 5 years, I got no problem at all, very good battery (I can spend 2/3 days without charging the battery), crashed several times but still works fine, only thing is that Windows Phone is bad, but good phone for those who use their phone to send SMS or calls only or mainly. Nokia held his reputation, very solid phone even though all is going apart when it fall, and excellent battery (which can be easily changed).

I have had my Lumia 620 for 2 & half years and I still love it. I have dropped it several times and it is still fine ( it has a gel case- a must-have IMO). Main Camera quality is excellent, no complaints with the secondary either. The OS (8.1) is stable and there are (now) lots of apps for it. I know some people have had problems with it freezing - I have only experienced this maybe one or twice since I've had it and all it needed was a reboot. Flight mode works fine.The battery life is not fantastic, but it's adequate. And I love the tiles! I have used iPhone and Android ( I develop sw for android too) and I still prefer my Lumia and Windows OS - I find it more intuitive than either of the other two platforms. I just wish more Banks and other large organizations would add support for Windows in their mobile banking apps. J

Awesome mobile.in 2013 the were using Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus Processor while Samsung & MI started its use only in costlier & recent models only. No hanging, Auto up-date, fantastic screen resolution. what a touch screen response even after 3 years of use. Battery is steel working satisfactorily. No complicated system for Apps & saved materials. Limitation is that, many Apps are not working in Window phone than Android. Otherwise "PAISA VASOOL" mobile.

Had a pair of Nokia Lumia 620's since 2013. Now both run WP8.1.1 (unfortunately). Batter is small capacity but you can put a higher capacity Nokia L5J in - it fits and gives about 8% more battery time. Now mine last well over a day on a single charge. Loads of features built into the specs including NFC which later mid price lumias lack. Camera is OK for occasional use but poor by today's standards. Overall, having used this as a daily workhorse phone I am satisfied with the hardware. The biggest problem by far is the crap Windows Phone OS and total lack of interest shown by Microsoft in maintaining or supporting their phone OS.WP 8.1.1 has had no updates or fixes since 2014! For example Notifications sometimes work but mostly don't. Backup stops at 96% for most people. Apps are few for WP and those provided, like WhatsApp for example, are far better in Android or iOS. To sum up I'd say good quality Nokia phone let down by rubbish Microsoft phone OS.

I've registered here just so I could post my opinion on the phone that I just smashed at the wall. 1. Awful battery, really wtf... I had to charge it every day whether I use it a lot or not at all... 2. Side buttons are poorly welded and they tend to fall off. It's practically impossible to weld them on permanently afterwards. 3. Touch screen is so defective that every now and then you have to lock and unlock phone so the touch screen would start working normally. Which is impossible once your lock/unlock button falls off. The only up vote I give to this phone is it's size, because I hate having huge phones which apparently everyone makes now. So I'll either get an iphone 4s now or Lumia 735...

I've had some of your problems myself. I've used this (genuine!)phone for a year. It has been sent back to the factory 6 times, then I bought a Lumia 735. My problems with the 620 were: When typing, quite often it would become impossible to type when I've used a space or an interpunction. But worse was the speakers: Sometimes the front speaker wouldnt work, sometimes the big backspeaker. When calling people would not understand me unless I was calling (I dont know the English word for it but it's like when calling from a distance of your phone). The alarm sometimes wouldnt go of as well. Textmessages would come a lot later (up to one day) (no this was not a network issue, I tested other phones) But with my current Lumia 735 I've encounterd these problems: Ive returned it to the factory 3 times, and the last time they replaced the phone (I think they also did this with my 620 but didnt solve any problems). Same typing and text receiving problems as with the 620. At first the battery was too loose, causing it to randomly restart (easy fix = paper around battery, but after replacement of phone this was fixed ). When calling often not possible to end call. And: When people call me,the phone often does not ring or give any signal that someone is calling at all, and redirecting the callers immediately to voicemail (no this is not a provider or reception issue, tested with other phones) Still a windowsphone fan though: I've used an Iphone 6 and the iphone was definitly faster in browsing, also taking and watching videos was a lot better, but the keyboard! Windowsphone's keyboard is muuuuch better and easier (for example text editing) and waaaay more personal + ios looks like a toy

Worst phone ever. When I bought it on the first day itself the front speaker had sound problem and the voice couldn't be heard clearly. Camera flash just goes blinking like an illiterate piece of sh**. Apps and games shows loading sign for 1 minutes before actually opening . Touchscreen sensitivity fades away sometimes during receiving a call and its not possible to answer it. Battery backup is the worst , need to charge atleast 3 times a day even during moderate usage on battery saving mode. Phone freezes on numerous occasions after windows 8.1 update and the only way to restore it is to remove the battery and attach it back. Most horrible phone experience I had in these 3 years of my life. Will never ever think of buying a windows lumia phone again .

I m using Lumia 620 for two yrs. Main problem is operating system. In windows difficult to create a file and file searching is more difficult. The most problem is not supports 3G video call and only for this reason Windows phone is going to rejected by customers. Windows is an old system for mobile and it is obsolete.

Hey...that is interesting. I ordered a Nokia 620 from flipkart and had the same problem. I could download whatsapp, but when I tried to open - the phone simply kept gooing back to the home screen. And flipkart refused my request for return stating this is not a problem with the phone, it is a problem with whatsapp and told me to contact the whatsapp tech team for help!! It seems now to be a problem with the phone after all...

Hi.. Guys this is really a good phone. When I updated it to 8.1. Then sometime it shows hanging problem ,battery back up decreases fastly. And sometimes touch is not working even picking call. Then I connect my charger with phone . And connect to a wifi network. 1st update is most important. Because it's a critical update. After 1st update my phone's hanging and touch problem had gone. After that I update my phone to new 3 updates. Then my phone works smoothly . Like buttery touch and smooth gaming experience.and cortana feature is awesome to work.like iPhone Siri. Superb phone windows. Guys the first update takes 230 mb and another three updates take 20-20 mb on 3g connectivity over wifi.

This Lumia devices prefers the strong network so when ur using 3g network if signal goes down it automatically changes to 2g network..

My experience with my Lumia 620 is not a happy one. It had few, but grave issue. I can list them as: 1. After few months, the back touch button stop responding randomly. 2. Phone get stuck frequently. Then I had to remove the battery and reinstate it every time, causing phone to restart. 3. Removing back cover (to remove the battery when the issue at above 2 arises), it damaged vol increase/decrease button. The manufacturer had not payed any heed to this issue. 4. Could not pair the phone with my laptop, which is having Windows 8.1 OS. 5. Something went wrong with the headphone socket. I could not use that function afterwards.

I experienced this too in the first 6 month of the phone. And repairs cost me rs. 300. Then some research showed me that the issue springs from a gap between the circuit board and the plastic panel. I own 2 of the Nokia 620's and recommended a family member to buy a third. ALL have failed buttons - either becoming inactive or breaking off of the circuit board. It's an otherwise good phone marred by a fatal flaw - namely the buttons are not properly soldered / fastened to the circuitry. The battery is a bit weak, camera is poor but will suffice for basic pics. And the screen is VERY tough, as we have dropped ours countless times and has remained intact (I can't say that for a loaner 625). Stay away from phone unless very cheap.

Guys if you are on the latest version of PFD then you are basically on Denim update and u don't need to update to denim. This is because unlike the usual firmware updates this time only Lumia 930/1520/830/730 gets the new firmware which enables camera features and hey cortana(930/1520 only). For the rest of the Lumias Denim is basically 8.1 update 1 that carries no firmware changes which means basically the same thing as on pfd. So my suggestion to anyone on pfd will be to avoid updating ur 620 to denim especially if ur on having a stable handset since denim is known to cause a lot of issues.

Don't even remember all the things that have been wrong with it but lately it's been really slow and hacking.I took away all the apps, pics, music and other things to maybe make it a little faster. In android we can install apps from other website but not in wp. It has less user. So, devlopers don't even think of devloping apps for it. We have not got call option in fb messenger yet which is already available in other platforms.

You probably will need to do a phone reset. My phone had the same problem plus some others, but after the reset it went back to normal.

I have updated to Cyan & then i did a hard reset of my phone. After that i installed apps on the SD card(16gb class 10) but i noticed live tiles of some apps(like Bing News, Accuweather etc.) are not getting updated at all. What should i do? Should i move those apps back to phone memory?? Or any other suggetions??

Your phone Should be updated to Lumia Black firmware to USE (x) sign for Closing app. and after Updating to WP8.1(Cyan) you can Close app by sliding Down the App Window following Long Press Back button.

Which version of OS you`re using (WindowsPhone8 or 8.1?) if you`re using WP8 and want to get push notification of WhatsApp Turn off BAttery Saver. in WP8.1 you can Set "Background process on When Battery Saver on" in Battery Saver App.

Hello,guyz I've been using Lumia 620 for about a month now,ND I must say....its great,I've been using an android phone earlier,ND even though the platform has lots of apps,the platform simply isn't cut out for entry level phones...now about the phone,the phone is lagfree,u won't feel like throwing the phone at all,but while playing games like subway surf I did encounter a bit of lag(nothing major).i guess its becoz of the limited ram ND a low processor inside it.but still u can do average gaming on it.the camara is great its better than that of l625.the speakers are very loud ND crisp.Dolby is good as well,the phone is good to look at,ND it feels alright in the hand..now what I don't like about the phone is that the phone overheats alot,u will surely feel the hotness trust me.its sometimes unresponsive but only sometimes,and about the battery,yes its not great at all...u will surely need to charge it every day,intact even if you switch on the battery saver on.u will only get like about 14houres of usage.so that is one major thing to look at,but still for me its not too bad.nd actually for the price your paying this phone is great....good day folks� oh plz note that I haven't upgraded to 8.1 yet,so with that the performance might improve...

Reset then update or update and Reset. 2.After reset all features will work.if any feature is missing in settings like "double tap to wake up", glance, vibration then you can check for updates in Store(WindowsPhone Store Application) settings. 3. you`ve to backup your contacts by using Settings> backup> Apps+Settings>Backupnow or using "Transfer my data" app tap ( ... ) three dots in Right bottom Corner then tap to "Export to SD card" and Choose Contact or Text or Both As Desired and tap to Start. your data will be backed up to your SD Card. to restore use same app and choose "import from SD card". 4. no issue in Hard reset.

Nokia Lumia 620 is not available yet on phone, only on websites. If you want to update your phone via nokia care centre, they will charge you Rs. 100 for under warranty phone. it doesn't matter if you have extended warranty. They will charge you anyway.

Yes it can be repair, the same problem is facing in loop mobile card also, the reason is frequency, those sim card support only frequency till 900.... The sim cards has to be more than 900 freqency range.

My 620 as old as yours and yes there is a call drop issue these days especially with Airtel. But it cannot be related with handset at all as this happens with other handsets like galaxy grand. So this is the problem with the operators not the instrument I feel. Sad thing is there is no concrete date on 8.1 update for 620 in India

I bought Nokia Lumia 620 one and a half year back. Suddenly it developed some problem. The calls I make get "dropped". The cell has never fallen down from my hand and no external damage also. In the Nokia service Centre they are telling there is problem with signal reception. The serice centre people advise that it can receiv only vodaphone signals. Airtel or Aircel SIM wont work in it and there is not remedy for it. It has to be thrown out only. Can any Nokia person tell me wheher it can be got repaired?

Hi there, I too am a WP8 enthusiast and fortunate to use a Note 3 and Iphone 5S. However, the shortcomings in the 620's hardware are too obvious to be ignored. 1. Short battery life is a big annoyance especially if you find 50% juice used up after 45 minutes of GPS navigation. Which is why I now use it as a standalone GPS on flight mode sans SIM card, BT and WiFi. 2.Another major annoyance is the frequent screen response failure during incoming calls. Often, while ringing, the screen just wont react in spite of the sliding. 3. Since this is an entry level device, I would have expected FM radio since even basic phones have it. There were even speculations that FM radio would be activated after a certain update....didn't happen and added to my disappointment since my other devices didn't have it either. Is it some kind of fashion to leave out FM radio for most flagship models? However, I understand that the 620 was among the early WP8 phones and was a refreshing change from devices running other platforms. That said, I am quite eager to try out a 1520 after hearing about its positive reviews.

Yes, the new 8.1 update has been one of the biggest transformation in windows phone undoubtedly. The new features like swipe keyboard, sliding screen from the top has been great and many more added features. I would like you to take an opinion about my device 620. It's a great smartphone overall, however you can give it a slim finish look just like Lumia 720, with good quality camera and then it will be perfect. Would like to see something like this in the future.

If u not sure how update 8.1 windows go utube it explain and u need at least 1.5gb to install the update version. P.S once u date 8 1 you can transfer apps or game on SD card with no hassle by going setting and using drop bar menu put everything sd cards. It saves me alot since I been install big games on nokia lumia 620 phones. Lol.

I been using this phone over 1 half years there nothing wrong with the phone. I don't understand why people judge it. Their nothing wrong mid range phones. If they want something expensive more feature why don't their aim high phones instead. I've been using the L620 for about a year. I still carry it around in my backpack ONLY when I need free GPS navigation. For this one purpose, it soundly beats my other phones -Galaxy Note 3 and Iphone 5s. Pros-Here Drive / Here Maps. Cons-Poor battery life,device hangs often,screen often fails to respond when phone rings, no FM radio. If I didn't have the Note 3, I would've probably gone for a Lumia 1520 for its battery life, screen size, Navigation features and FM radio.

Worst mobile ever ! The operating system is totally counter intuitive and nothing you want to do works. I wasted hours trying to do the most simple tasks. I got the phone for free through work. But eventually threw it back to the IT people as I had wasted enough time. Walked into phone shop and asked for assistance but the staff were just as confused about the operating system. Yes OS is really excellent with very good optimisation. It is really easy to use without any crappy options, means just straight whatever you want. I am using this phone since 1 year six months and got used to the OS more than the phone and will definitely continue with same OS in future. This phone simply , the worst phone in the market. Keep the 3G on, no calls, and no SMS, and your battery will be dead in 6 hours. There have been tons of updates for Windows Phone, which neither serve any purpose, nor make the GUI look any different, what it does is it makes your phone worse each time, and increases the times it will hang. what's worse, basic features like internet sharing blue-tooth don't seem to work when needed, and dear Nokia - 1300MAh battery is just no good. Nokia has made good phones in the past so I conclude the real culprit is the god-awful windows phone OS. Save yourself the trouble and money, even Micromax has better phones than this piece of garbage.

1- update to wp8.1... now u can download any video or any unsupported file.. internet explorer has now downloading capability.. official file manager is available now in wp8.1 so u can save or move,copy any file in any directory u want.. no need of pc now 2- about radio its 620 hardware problem. 3- duplicate file problem is resolved in wp8.1 update.

Some of the feedback's with Nokia Lumia 620 in point of view are: 1. We can't download a media files or others directly to SD card. 2. We can't use Radio (mostly in all Nokia smartphones). 3. Media files transferring trough cable sometimes become multiple files. For this all the time we need to remove the SD card and we need to do the transfer trough PC. 4. Flash is some what low. 5. Also it is a different experience in keeping with us.

There's no word on this but it has been officially announced that all the devices running windows phone 8 GDR 3 will get update to 8.1 It is estimated that by the end of this year all WP 8 devices will get 8.1 OFFICIALLY. if you are still in a hurry then you can create a developer account for free and get 8.1 right now. i am not gonna do that because i brought this phone on 1st Jan 2014 with 2 years warranty and i don't plan to void that.

i like my L620 very much but nokia would have provided a higher mAh battery say 1800mAh or 2000mAh coz battery backup is just kinda average on this phone & specially after black update, heating issues starts persisting on this phone, otherwise this is a fabulous phone in its price range though it didn't get that much hype as that of L520. It would be great if nokia can provide a battery for this phone exclusively. Hope wp8.1 solves my issues.

Overall the 620 feels more 'quality' than the 520. The camera has better colors in the 620 (and also better video but the video in the 520 is already good enough). The camera in the 520 is not so good, the colors are washed out. However with some settings adjustments it does an ok job (I use Iso 200 and Daylight as default). I use the basic 'Camera' app, the 'Nokia Smart Cam' makes poor pictures. The 520 is larger - better for guys who have larger hands. I would recommend the 620 for girls because it fits better in their smaller hands. I think the 520 has better battery life than the 620. I like better the screen size on the 520, it makes a difference, I feel the one on the 620 is a little too small. Both of them are slippery in hand despite the 'rubberized' casing.

I got the overall usage of 4.5 hrs for two days. I don't think any previous update has anything to do with this. It just that the system needs some time to stabilize.

Some manufacturers however make their custom roms, and, it's just a work around, but actually, these calls can fail to actually work at any time for a particular network operator. 2. to format an sd card, its better to do it with your phone for any os but in general it doesn't matter. if you are a power user then it depends upon your usage. one last note "cortana rocks"!!!! give it a try if you can.

My battery life was miserable for 2 days. But now it's back to normal. Even finding it bit better, cause I now leave my data, Wi-Fi and location on all the time and yet get 8-9 hrs of battery. 3g is best it would give u a good speed.........for updating u need speed more than 100 KBps...and airtel 3g would provide u with an avg speed of 200KBps wich is good enough..wish u luck for updating

I have just updated the "Network+" system app on my lumia 620. After the update, there is a call forwarding symbol permanently displayed on the top of my screen. I have tried disabling call forwarding but i am not able to. I uncheck the call forwarding option and it gets checked again automatically after sometime. Similarly my battery is draining faster after this update, not sure what the connection is, but this is something i noticed.

if u want notification to appear in the action center then just go to setting and then to notification+action tab and choose the app u want and toggle it on or off.......which will show and hide the apps notification ...hope this helps but i am not sure as i have still not updated to 8.1...

Yeah.I had these issues initially. Reloading of tabs automatically Twice or thrice before opening. Gallery and start screen loads scratchy. Do you have Cortana?I just restarted twice,1st region only,then language separately.Then I got Corty.Even occasional frezze occurs.But my data limit ends,so I back to India,Remove 3rd column of live tiles,hey now I am on a jet with a long battery.(at least 2 hrs more)

Here is how you can move ur installed apps in memory card: Settings-->Storage sense-->Phone-->apps+games-->Select the apps n games & tap on move... after above everything will be moved into ur SD card. in short it will format ur phone to the same condition as it was when u first took it out of the box......... and for windows id u will not have to create a new one but rather use ur old id to login to ur microsoft account........ur contacts and messages are always backed up into ur windows (hotmail) account, so when u login with ur windows id after hard reset ur contacts and messages will appear in their respective hubs after they are synced back.....

if hard reset or updating the phone to black doesn't work then there is a slight possibility that unfortunately u have got stuck with a defective piece from the whole lot....i would say its just bad luck... but if ur phone is in warranty period then u should get it replaced......wish u luck

iam using lumia 620 for a while now.the only problem about this device was the 512 mb ram(less availability of games).now iam having some trouble using this device.the three capacitive buttons automatically works whenever they wish to...even if i didn't touch on them.the bing search opens every minutes...and sometimes the phone just freezes and reboots...and when the phone is locked,pressing power button won't wake up the device (most of the times)...i had to use the camera button to unlock my phone...i tried soft and hard resets..still these problems exists...i went to nokia care and they told they have fixed it..but the problem was still there...this happend 3 times.......what to do now ? itz still on the first firmware..not any updates made..will updating the sfrwr fix the rebooting issue ?

I put a screen protector which reduces the touch screen sensitivity and now the sensitivity is just fine. But now the double tap waking up works no more :( Need to cut a piece off the screen protector.

This phone was good for like a month or two, now long-term, its been terrible, the buttons on the side are all weak and the volume ones don't even work at all, ive had lower end phones than this but this is the worst phone ive ever owned, but i would suggest getting it if you need like a phone for two months as a replacement or something...

I don't think this phone is for everyone. It works well - good call quality, reception, decent battery, good typing, good camera - but the menus are long to browse and not intuitive. It's just not as a breeze to use as an Iphone for example. Downsides: it doesn't stay well in hand, always feel like I need to pay attention not to drop it. The black mate casing is very slippery. The touch screen is too sensitive, even at the lowest setting, sometimes it reacts before I'm physically touching it. Several times I open a menu by mistake while scrolling down. Bottom line: not as easy to use as an Iphone, doesn't stay well in hand.
