Hi, Naresh. just remove your sim card and insert another sim card...then after 5 or 10 min again insert your previous sim card...your problem has been solved.

When a call is ended, by me or the other caller, my phone freezes. Sometimes if i press the green Call button it freezes the screen, also it does that when i try to look at my call logs. and i can't look at my photos anymore. it comes up on screen saying "Waiting..." but never does anything. but i can still take photos :S well anyway, mine broke today wen i accidently kicked it into the air and it fell abt 12 feet. so im going to get a new phone :) p.s a good thing abt this phone- it survives a LOT. iv thrown it abt and abused it in many ways and its survived everything apart from falling 12feet onto concrete.

Call Log failing in O2 ICE MOBILE... very simple solution...remove the existing SIM and put any other SIM then reset it with FACTORY SETTING option from TOOLS by putting security code "0000".....after resetting..put your own SIM back...thats it...your phone will again start keeping CALL LOGS smoothly..

I bought this from ebay.in and just after 1 month of use its software is corrupt....Phone just shows "Recovering..." when booted...im really pissed off that i sold my SE to buy this shit...plz help me get rid of this shit... i used 1gig memory card with Airtel...I had Opera, Ucweb and 2 other games( Asphalt 2 and Worms 3) installed..i downloaded them from GPRS....Yes the java software can be installed only when it is downloaded from the inbuilt WAP browser..

Video and Music folder does open. This problem comes when there are too many HUGE files in those folders. I faced the same problem when i deleted many of those files i could access these folders. Try it and let us know.

Hello people. I have the solution for the external memory problem. All u need to do is remove the card and insert it into the adapter which had come along with ur card and then insert the adapter into the card reader then go to my computer and format the card and do not give it any name other than the default name pre-assigned and then eject it safely. Now insert the car into the phone with the datacable inserted and transfer the data through file manager.Thats it!! it solved my problem

I have had this phone for nearly 2 years now and it is rubbish, it does not read an external memory card, I cannot access my photo's or my video's anymore and I have no doubt that will happen to the sound soon too, I cannot see a calling list so I never know who my missed calls are from and my phone randomly crashes and has to restart. My advice to anyone wanting to buy this phone is DON'T BOTHER! It is not worth buying no matter how cheaply you can get it, when I took mine back to the O2 shop they said they had seen loads of Ice phones with similar problems. This phone is completely pointless!

Hi I am using O2 Ice from last 5 months. It is really very nice and user friendly phone. Only one thing i faced ahtat wen ever I restarted the phone it shows "Insert Sim Card" message. I need to start it again again 2-3 times to detect the sim. i am using 1 GB card with it and it is working perfactly fine. I just bought an O2 Ice the 2nd time today and I think I'm paying heavily for the craze of the phone, I was dying to buy..... The first time I bought it from online, the handset couldn't be charged and the seller concluded that there is a problem in the circuit inside. So, returning that handset, I bought it again, this time from a shop and found to my dismay that the this time again, the handset does not charge. Anyone having problems with playing music files; 'Phone says waiting and does nothing else'. You have to go to Multimedia Media Player, My playlist, options and create a playlist of the music you want. Then select and play from that screen. I don't know why it does it, but thats the way around it.

It is a nice -looking phone and it works fine for texting and ringing. but i have a problem! whenever i open my pictures it just stays there...waiting... does anyone know how sort this out? i would really appreciate any help you can give as its really annoying andthe guy at the o2 shop just told us what was wrong and didn't offer to fix it or anything! the speakers are also quite quiet and sometimes i miss calls coz i can't hear it ringing! apart from this it looks good and nearly always has reception and doesn't run out of battry fast...

Yeah mine wouldnt let me into my picture or videos after a while, and sometimes said there wasnt a sim card inserted. I dropped mine a few days ago + the screen and camera at the back broke and apparently o2 warranty doesnt cover 'accidents' Hmm. Its an excellent phone when it works though.

the screen on my mobile just frooze after one day of usage i was just wondering if that had occured with other users plus i found it awful hard to charge my mobile while i had it in the freezer and had to drill a small hole in the door of the freezer to allow the connection in...according to my mechanic it will cost 200 dollars to get the door rehinged

I got the problem with this "Recovering..." message always when I turn the mobile on. First the loading-screen with the O2-Sky as background appears, then for a moment it asks me for my PIN, then it turns black and the Recovering... message appears. I have bought the O2 ice phone a month back it is working very properly... but 2 days back i have the micro sd card of 1 gb but when i inserted it and tried to move the songs from the phone memory to memory card it says "Not enough memory" but when i install same in Nokia phone it shows memory is available.... the space is totally available... but i havent formated.... so is there any way to format it???? how can i format it????

A warning about o2 Ice. I bought mine in May, the charger didnt work. Spent almost �20 calling the product returns helpline to try and get a replacement. Got so fed up, so I managed to find a charger on ebay, which worked fine. Then a week ago, my phone just stopped working. It wouldnt turn on (it was fully charged). I've had to send it back via recorded delivery, which o2 are saying they havent received, even though it has been delivered. I'm now expected to get the proof and fax it to them. The phone was good when it worked, but has been nothing but trouble. O2 customer services are also awful.

this a warning to all those who are planning to buy o2 devices in the future! beware! I am from India. I was happy using O2 phones such as the XDA II and the Atom so I decided to go in for another. I purchased an O2 XDA Stealth on Feb 12th 2007 and had immediately regretted the decision as I started facing a hell lot of problems in the device. Almost after a month of correspondence with O2 they sent me a replacement handset. I was happy until i opened the new unit. It had the same problems and some new. Again after long talks with O2 (Mr Keanu) they sent me another replacement promising me that this would work but it did not. Naturally I was very angry and frustrated. At this stage I ahd lost all faith in the Stealth and demanded O2 to give me some other handset for all the inconvienience that I have faced . After a series of talks with O2 Singapore(Mr Keanu) I received an Atom Exec. But my problems worsened! After a couple of days the Exec "died" ie it would not charge. when the charger was connected it would show full battery and when disconnected it would switch off and not switch on for days. Highly annoyed and frustrated I began my talks again with O2 and at the same time bought the O2 Zinc. That was another error from my side as the Zinc also had problems. Its indicator LED malfunctioned and the microphone gave out static. Those were horrible times for me having two defective handsets. O2 finally agreed to replace both these handsets and they did. So I have already used 3 Stealths, 2 Atom Execs and 2 Zincs. That adds up to 7 O2 phones in about five and a half months!!! Well things dont end here. once again I am having problems with the Zinc such as the LED is malfunctioning, the speaker switches on automatically when a call is made, the speaker dies out, screen freezes..etc.. So to all those who are planning on investing their money on an O2 device please do not as the quality of O2 devices is degrading day by day and is no longer dependable as it once upon a time was. if any of you want to know bout the problems i faced in these many devices please contact me on +919884414907

dude i bought the o2 ice for 6000rs approximately �80 its a very good fone had some problems with the memory card so my friend my5y sorted it out ill tell u 1) to play louder mp3 convert mp3 into 192kbps mp3 file then play the song it blasts 2) format your memory card in fat format not fat32 create 4 folders image sound video other files and put ur stuff accordingly and it will work 3)Iif u want to install games do one thing borrow a nokia handset and put jar files into his memory card then send those jar files through bluetooth and then install it in o2 ice wolah it works fine 4) now where do you find o2 games and softwares dont worry click the link below or u can also try www.mobile9.com repp me for my good work

The phone obviously has something wrong with the memory port or somethin, considerin everyone has their own unique way of getting them going again. mines still being stubborn lol, but i kno its the phones fault, not the SD card! coz it always says "Can't move corrupted file", so i dnt think its got nething to do with the fact i have a 1 gig card.

oh.. and.. theres no such thing as a "fluke" emster as the specification of this phone doesnt change, so the phone is unique in that respect for everyone and.. what works for one will work for another.... it simply means you have not found the correct accepted format the phone accepts so the stores answer was at best non-sense, mis-leading and blatantly incorrect as i have it working fine after a little experimentation. The phone does accept the 1 gig transflash (micro sd) card just and no more, and it allocates the files to an extent though i have noticed files have simply... disapeared... lol.. but are in fact, still there if examined using windows, so overall, the phone does support 1 gig micro-sd cards but it has difficulties and often doesnt recognise any files on the phone after switching it off and on again... ah well, nothing ever runs smooth,... but it works...just..;-)...i blame the o2 windows software and the o2 phones programming for the problems... and .. im right.. lol ;-) bri.

sorry folks.. two last things... number one the micro-sd card must be called "External" and number two, the files must be copied into the correct directories as well using windows and a SD card read plugged into the USB port. The o2 software DOES NOT support the copying of files into a Micro sd card, dont bother trying, just use windows to paste and drop, but remember.... mp3's into sound and movies into movies (in the correct 3gp format).. ok, i promise this will work EMSTER... use "MMshall video convertor" to convert any file or movie into the 3GP format... ok ;-) bri..

If you want to use a the micro sd card (transflash) then the card must be no more than 1 gigabyte... and you must format the card use FAT not FAT 32... and.. yes.. and.. you must copy the folder structure similar to the internal memory, in that, you must create folders similar to the internal memory such as "video" and so forth.. and make sure they are spelled right... these are musts and should be followed to the letter, or it, wont work .. ok ;-) bri...

Hey guys. Just to inform you that the store was right. Believe it or not. The ICE was not built to be capable of holding 1GB SD card.. Some phones may work as a fluke but if you contact data support they will all say the same, the ICE can't handle that amount of data. This is mostly due to the active services on the handset. You can keep trying as I did with mine but it is in vain. Sorry if this frustrates anyone. Goodluck if you do keep trying!

right... i've been playing around with this phone lol and finally got the sd 1gig card working!! wheeyy! but when i turned the phone off, it stopped working again. i kept reinserting the card and it works when it wants to work really... annoying i know!! lucy, try turning the phone off then back on, insert the card and go to the manage sectionunder gallery then memory status, see if its reading the card, if it doesnt work then keep reinserting it... sorry if this doesnt help but when i 1st got the card workin, i still have no i dea how i did it, i pressed loads of buttons getting annoyed and when i checked my songs i had like 60!! hope ive helped! x[x]x

hey Karaaaa, that person u spoke 2 in the o2 store must've been a bit dim lol now there's a suprise (o2 never fail 2 astound me with their stupidity and poor customer service and training). Go to any shopping site and type in "SD cards compatible with o2 Ice" and you'll get most sizes of memory card. (mine is a gig, of which that person in the o2 shop you speak of said din't work.) Fair enough, the card doesnt work now (actually i think it may be the phones fault, see my comment a few below for reference, but it used to work fine)...any help?

Pros: The Ice has loads of features for a budget to mid-end phone. Cons: I'm not really that keen on the phone's finish, though it does look much better in the limited edition Black (now in o2 stores). Also Consider: The Sony Ericcson K610i has excellent all-round features and is a great introduction to the virtues of 3G. Killer App: Budget 3G Verdict: It deserves to be loved because of its high spec at low price.

To put stuff on the SD card you need to transfer the data to the phone first, then put it on the SD card via multiple select. A hassle i know, just use the datalink cable provided (then again mine didn't work,what a surprise, so I use a bluetooth adaptor) Everytime i try and send a song or wateva to my SD card though it says 'Can't send corrupted file!'..it used to work fine...any ideas please? I'm cracking up...!!

I had the same problem and took the phone back to O2 twice, who insisted there was nothing wrong. They admitted one other problem with a user using a Sandisk 1 GB, who had no problems with a different card. I was also using a Sandisk 1 GB and wonder if it is a problem specific to this card. (Although O2 say it should read any card.)

** Memory card fix ** Step one - Put card into phone Step two - If phone cant read card take card out and repeat step one again... You need to keep taking the card in and out until phone can read it. If you switch phone off then back on you will need to repeat the steps again....

got this phone yesterday, good camera, great headphones, only problem that phone doesnt read SD card, i know people have posted about this before, it works if you turn the phone on with card in, see if it detects it by looking at memory status in gallery, then if it doesnt, keep taking out and putting back in until it does. a pain but it solved the problem.

I really like the phone. Haven't had the same problem lots of you seem to be having with the ring volume, but I do have my set on loud. Had great customer service from O2. COntacted them about my 30 day welcome pack that you get when you sign up, as I couldn't download any games let alone get one for free!! The O2 download site doesn't work for the ice so they gave me �5 credit instead. However, I can't find any sites to download games from. Anyone got any info on any sites that do accept our handset????

Just found out how to use ur own mp3s as a ringtone, thanks to Manda. I did what u said about multiple select but just copied from memory card to phone. U cant do em from the memory card. In options pick multiple select, highlight the song u want the select Copy(or move) to phone and hey presto. Thanks again Manda

I just bought the Ice from the o2 shop with the free bluetooth headset and 1gb card. It is quiet but u do realise that it is set on low volume go into the settings and turn it up. It is also VERY loud through the headphones. My only problem is how to set a mp3 file as a ringtone or message tone. When I try it says "setting not allowed". I had no problems doing this with x3 and x4 so can any1 offer the solution. Also u should be aware that the sim card that comes with the Ice is 3g enabled so if you use your own sim from a non 3g o2 phone like I have u won't be able to make video calls. Any help for the ringtone problem would be much appreciated thanks.

i got this phone. it is great, especially for the price. camera is good and layout is quick and easy to use. however, i do have 2 faults with it. 1) not long after recieving this phone, my screnn suddenly turned pink and the colours got messed. will return it soon. (did this happen to anyone else) 2) it is not very user friendly with a memory card. i already had stuff on the memory card but couldnt get to it. on the whole, a good phone for the price. THANKS!

UMM i was wonderin im getting new phone in a week but im not so sure if i should get this? whats the memory limit and does it come with software so you can compress songs and stuff onto the phone and is the camera good or not... peace out!

Oh yes, the ringer volume is way too low even on LOUD, and the supplied ring tones - mp3s - are all girly one - not even a decent RING RING...

I too can not get the ICE to connect to XP pro using either BT or USB. BT connects and then drops - so that's at least 2 users with this problem.... duhhhh

Checked this phone, I have major Problems to connect two different Notebooks and one PDA via Bluetooth. The BT connection always droped. Anybody here has a stable BT connection to conenct a PC to the 3G network ? thanks for help...

hello. nice phone but the message tone is so quiet and only lasts 4/5 seconds if that! i never know if a have a message if im not standing next to it! Any one know if i can rais the volume on just the message alert apart from through profiles? the incoming call ringtone is nice and loud! cheers

The ice is manufactured by Pantech who predominantly produce flip phones. When sending something to the memory card it will first go to the phone memory. You then need to move it to the memory card manually. Ring volume is quite low.

there is not a fault with the memory cards on the o2 ice, i had the same problem. mine came up as having an error but if you are putting music on it then on your phone go into gallery, sound, highlight a song that you have put on your phone and press options, press multiple select and press the silver button on some songs that you put on yourself until little box is ticked then press options again (this only works on full songs not ringtones) move to external and hey presto it should be on your memory card

sd memory card access problem,insert sd card and you cant do anything with the card the fone says momory card inserted and thats it forks.

Does anyone else get annoyed at the fact when you're sending a text and get distracted for a second you go ack to it and it's gone!! It doesnt even save to drafts or anything It just disappears!! Its sooooo annoying!

Tes nice phone but how do you get JAD-JAR games into the phone besides buying online at o2? i have tried sending a game(s) from my pc via bluetooth but the games go into'OTHER' folder so files are not recognised so they cannot be installed!

The phone is a bargain for what you get on the phone. The volume is quite low but using volume increasing software you can make em really loud and clear - www.mp3gain.com. i bought a memory card off play.com for only 8 quid so u dnt af 2 spend much. the screen is probly one of the best quality around which i was surprised at. so for �90 u get wot uve paid for and u get a free bluetooth headset aswell - Bonus?

I bought mine and first i had problems changing my number to my old 1 now i've done that i've another problem when i send a message it tells me messeage sending failed but it sends and it takes credit off me it then goes into the outbox and resends 5 mins later is there any reason why it says failed and how do you turn the auto resend off cause its nailing my credit please HELP ME

When i first took the phone out of the box I was a little disappointed it looked like a Tonka Toy but once it's on and lit up it looks cool. Pictures not that great but I have a digital camera anyway so wasn't priority. I wanted a phone with pc sync which is dead easy to use. First thing I did was put a decent ringtone on it which was just a click and drag job. The downfalls are that there is a shortcut screen and no options to change what your shortcuts are and the volume is really bad, has a loud option but even that is hard to hear, my old phone was a back up alarm clock which I can't use this for. You can hear it better if you put it face down because the speaker is on the back of the phone. It does however ring and vibrate at the same time which is also what I wanted as Samsungs (had 3 prevously) tend not to have that feature. Is easy to use and predictive text also predicts your next word. Just hope I can keep it clean!!

Problems i have encountered Cant seem to install any games in it. Knows that an external memory card has been inserted, but it cant save photos etc to it. Is this a faulty batch of O2 ices?

Just got it for my birthday nice little phone...shame it didnt come with a memory card so i have to spend money on one...sound isnt brilliant on it...not very loud...especially the message tones!. Only other thing i found thats put it down is no flash on the camera! if it was with a flash certainly wud be 9/10 but unfortuanyl score 7 1/2 /10 on my account!

Had a play in the O2 shop yesterday, very nice phone although the looks are a little weird... I knew some numbskull would say "stick to Nokia" sooner or later, the phone DOES accept MicroSD/TransFlash cards. I had brought my Moto C975, complete with memory card to the shop. The card slot was fiddly (hard to get the card to click in, the salesman had bother, it does require a fingernail left grown specially for the purpose I suppose) the only trouble was files that were already on the card for the use of the C975, videos, pictures and music wouldn't show up on the phone as the Moto uses a different directory structure to the O2 Ice, nothing a card reader and access to a PC won't solve! I'd doubt you'd get a better phone for the price, especially one that comes with a headset included!

just got mine.great phone but should have got the nokia 6111.speaker volume is herendius.i could turn it up full and wouldnt hear it from another room. sound is still quility at full volume but they could of upped the max a little bit.battery seems very good too and for a great budget price its excellent.

Just had a play with one of these in an O2 shop. It seemed like a very nice phone. O2 shops are selling it on PAYG for �99 which includes �20 airtime and a �50 Bluetooth headset. Bargain for a 3G phone
