• maybe you bought a fake xda flame... just throw it away, It's fake! I have one too but it great. The battery life is the only letdown.

 • if standard flashing dont work, you have to bring it to the shop to replace the whole GSM chip,

 • does it say something about " a wireless radio must be attached to use phone" if so, then, its a hardware problem, i also encountered that one in my 1st unit im also from the phils, kabayan :D

 • got this cheap for less than $130 with proper drivers, the usb on the go is really handy, i could even connect a USB hub, then put in mouse, external drive and keyboard at the same time and it all works, at the same time only drawback is the battery life, im using dynatec 1650mah batt and it could only last 1 whole day,

Does not sync with OS window Vista.Messaging is good. worst part is the battery. Does not last even 15 mins now. Switches off on its own. Friends keep compaining. Battery not available in India. Tech support very poor. I can go on and on. My advise is better check beore buying such product. Don't waste your precious money.

The only change I have made to the hardware is a 3.2 Ah extended battery. Luv the VGA for web especially. I'm wearing our the mini usb connector and sometimes doesn't charge now :(

Everytime I did screen alignment, I just get a continous and never ending loops or repetitions. It usally took me about 10-15 times before I finally aligned the screen, but it return back to misalignment again and again, meaning the stylus could not get the exact point where I wanted to. Any body knew what problem I have? Is it digitizer problem? How much will it cost me for repair?

 • Got an XDA Flame for about 8 mos now. Very recently, i noticed that it hungs up every now and then. I also have problems with the camera...defects goes on and on until I can no longer received txt msgs. Outgoing calls and msgs is not a problem. Anybody who knew the Philippine-based service center for O2. I used to see an O2 shop in Galleria but has already pulled out a month ago. [email protected]

 • Its better than the Apple iphone.

 • O2 XDA Flame has the best display of all the cell phones since it came out. In comparison to iPhone, which has 320 X 480 resolution packed in a 3.5'' screen at 163 pixels per inch, O2 Flame has 480 X 640 resolution packed in a 3.6'' screen at 222 pixels per inch. Like I said before, this phone has the best display among all the cellphones.

 • just out of curiousity does O2 phones work in Canada??

 • Does it got the same video quality as iphone? Please answer

 • @andy : u wrong..it's 3,6" screen; it's support to 262.000 colors but Windows Mobile only get to 65.000 colors..

 • what i dont get is vga resolution, 3.8" screen, yet 64K colors?

 • ophink what i am saying the flameis whole new platform ,produced by new company called Arima ,and here we got some problems because we lack support for it (thats why i said it like prototype). pray that flame 2 will have pxa270 cpu and produced by arima (and then we will c the flame getting wm7)

 • @ppc_doc : some of people get a stable wm6 or wm6.1, so if ur applications are compatible with it, i think it will work.. i've already get wm6.1 and it works fast n no sb and i can install everything that i want except pocketCM.. microSDHC will work in wm5 or wm6 but unfortunately it's still can use WiFi, so u must choose between WiFi and microSDHC.. good news, flame II will be out in the end of this year..it will use WM7!!!!.... Maybe we can use wm7 in flame I....it will be great!!

 • wm6 is ok if you dont use any other 3rd party softwares. i have been testing wm6 and wm5 ,in the moment it look good the we have wm6 and 6.1 around but still lot of work still needed (no sdhc support, bluetooth problems,sb problems) i mean i intalled wm6 with efn tweaks for 2 days but i missed over 10 calls ,and the device got crazy when i began installing 3rd party softwares. i am stiking with wm5,since is the most stable rom and you can install all the probrams you want without thinking about if it will effect the stability of the rom. soon will be a stable wm6

 • @rick : maybe u can try it but first it u must backup..if ur softwares are compatible with wm6, it's ok and u can use it..

 • Just a thought, thinking of upgrading O2 wm5 to wm6. so most, if not all softwares installed that run under wm5 will also be upgraded? if this is the case. i`ll just stick with my old wm5 bec most of my softwares are still running under it.

 • @prashant : u can ask in the forum : www.xdaflameusers.com ..maybe they can help u..i am from indonesia, if u in indonesia, i can help u.. @ brides : there's no test that flame can handle 4 gig microSD but...u can use 8 gig SDHC in flame with this cab : just install in your flame, but unfortunately u can't use WiFi.. if u want to know more, u can find in the web above..

 • can this phone support a 4gig micro sd? tnx

 • @PPCDOC : thx 4 ur advice..but this is my thought too..I just don't like the words "...but the device is buggy as hell, its not been tested by MWG (or O2),its like a prototype full of bugs." it's mean that he doesn't know flame at all.. i am agree with u that it's MWG's job to do (fix bugs etc) but we can't count on them, that's why we use our skill to do it..it will great if u can join to flame users forum to help other people to get the final WM6.1 without any bugs or SB..

 • I remember the first time i had this thing in my hand, i was so engross by it until, it went dead. sent it back to dealer cameback updated rom. and i lost interest not that i dont like it but. it never has given me satisfaction(i have to tweak it my self to make this unit perform well) especially the battery life. maybe in the near future ill wait for a couple of months and review every feed backs before decide to buy . many thks to O2 you really got me!!!!.

 • ophink just chill kid,and respect others thoughts. when you pay this amount of money for the device ,its normal that we expect good support and untill now i didn't see a real support from MWG(former O2) they just ignore us(be real and check the bugs list of wm5 on xdaflameusers). i have full respect for the people who ported wm6.1 to our devices(i am working on wm6.1 release fixing some issues),but that is not our job (end users). its MWG job to care about there costumers(check how Nokia Asus HTC support there devices by trying to fix bugs and upgrade there software ). Facts are Facts

 • @wiqar: u can use powerpoint mobile that include with another office's programs..or u can use (3rd party software) pocket slide and pocket slide show...

 • @Wiqar: your welcome..if u flame user u can join to www.xdaflameusers.com .. u can see the good of our flame there... @....: i don't know u but u think flame's a prototype full of bugs??? who are u anyway???? Can u tell me who u are? I f u gentle, show me who u are..and think !! not with your mouth but with your head..if u want to update ROM u can find the link i gave it in before..

 • i am really sorry to say but the device is buggy as hell, its not been tested by MWG (or O2),its like a prototype full of bugs. if Mwg doesnt release soon a firmware update i will sell my flame .. this is real

 • Dear Ophink, Thanks for your advice regarding the LCD connection. I was just wondering whether the O2 Flame has a power point viewer in its Office Suite. If not, is it possible to download it from somewhere ?

 • @wiqar: my answer: of course.....!! u can use a RCA cable (there are 3 cables : yellow, red and white) that include the packet..it's a simple as if u use laptop/notebook..just plug in and use pocket slideshow for the show..

 • Is it possible to connect O2 Flame to an LCD projector to view power point slides ? How to connect the O2 Flame to the projector ? Can someone answer this ? Thanks

 • there's a cab for SDHC 4 flame, just download here : INSTRUCTIONS: please make sure u follow the first step as it is. 1) Install SDHC.cab but DONOT restart the phone now, even if u get a prompt just hit no or Cancel. 2) Overwrite /Windows sdbus.dll sdmemory.dll 3) Install Certs.cab Soft reset. this will get all ur SDHC troubles solved. ENJOY!!

 • for the new WM6.1 : ..it's ROM from china or here : ..it's WWE WM6..u can find the detail here :

 • for who upgrade to WM6: if u want to flash the rom to WM6 : 1. u must download WM6 diskimage.nb0 and 1xdtgklo.kez here : 06&p=1 (just look the first post by murzz, it's 2nd beta version) for the instruction here : by devictoria.. 2. u must download the rom update for WM6 here : by qwerty.. just follow the qwerty's instructions... after that..u have WM6 version in your flame......but it's have a sleeping problem (it's means after your flame turn off by itself, u can't wake up it with tap the power button, so u must soft reset it).. maybe u can try some method that already tried here..(maybe u just lucky to have a stable WM6)... u can find here : www.xdaflameusers.com goodluck..

 • Can anyone please tell me hoe to upgrade from WM5 to WM 6. Thanx in advance

 • Looked like a very nice phone. Recieved phone, has nice big screen, then the screen started distorting, right after charging it all the way for the first time. Won't receive picture messages without subscribing to a service, and the service isn't available in U.S.A...??? Also it is very bulky & thick!!

 • @ Hsmnt : i have already tried WM6 in flame and it works !!! so don't worry to try it..u can see some methods/ tweaks to solve the sleeping beauty's problem, maybe u just lucky enough that u can solve it with the methods..

 • @ Hsmnt : just check : and see WM6 in flame..i know there's a sleeping beauty problem (it means sometimes after it turn off by itself, u can't wake up with tap the power button but u must soft reset..but don't because some friends in the website now trying to solve the problem..

 • Anyone has upgraded WM5 to WM6 on XDA Flame? Could you tell me how? Will it work if I use WM6 from any store? Do I need special additional software issued by O2 to upgrade from WM5 to WM6, in order to make mya XDA Flame work properly when running WM6? Thanks!

 • this phone rocks!!! Compared to other smartphones, the graphs and processor are just like a generation ahead compared to the all time favorite Nxx and ipxxxe. now all the way from work at the subway you may play games.

 • Nobody buys 02 anymore cos it's just not in. Whether you like it or not, 02 is just out. From all reviews, I'm sure you can see that their service is not good and HTC has taken over them. 02 doesn't exist anymore in Asia, sold to MWG. And those on sale are the leftovers. I have 02 XDAII for quite number of yrs, doesn't really function well, sent to their service station several times but as bad.

 • @ all: if u want PDA with phone..this is the only and the best choice... but if u looking for phone with PDA, this is not for u..

 • @all: 1. Yes, it can work with external GPS hardware 2. Yes, it can read PDF 3. Yes, u can sync it with your laptop or PC (just use the cd install that include in the packet) 4. It's the best PPC so far....better than o2 atom life... 5. Now, there's WM6 for flame... if u want to know about this wonderfull thing, u can join in www.xdaflameusers.com.. u can find the answer for your questions....

 • Can you add an external GPS receiver and use it with this device? Thanks.

 • I would like to purchase this phone in these few weeks(April '08). I would like to hear comments on this phone if compare to Atom life. Can anyone recently bought this phone feel that this phone is better ?

 • Hi. I Dont`t now whath is the compatible bluetooth keyboard whit this XDA. What is?

 • yes! it makes your PDA thicker w/ 3150mah. and Which one is better atom or flame?, the smaller the price and the smaller the item. the better if your batt. can last long and w/ good customer after sales service. But most of all, To what it is use for?

 • I am interested in pruchasing an O2XDA Flame but have a few questions I hope someone can answer! Does anyone know if the Flame is compatible with the T-mobile network? Also I would like to be able to install and run a couple cadcam programs on it for convenience in the shop rather than using laptop. Do you know if the O2 XDA Flame will allow me to install and run cadcam programs such as Autocad or Mastercam?

 • which one is better flame or atom life?

 • it's possible to download PDF files to this device?

 • Hey why does the 3150 mah battery on ebay have a back cover please reply asap.. does it make phone thicker..

 • Is this a symbian phoine ?

 • Yes it support softwares third party, as long it is for PC pocket windows, But dont expect it runs as pC, it is way too far. if you want PDA, find others.. if Mp3 find others... if you want this! then you will have to plug your unit constantly. bec it drains battries so fast and very slow charging for hours. by the way there still no media to play youtube on this.hope this will informed.

 • Pls tell me about software support.any software can support or not.

 • yes, only a smaller version pc, thats why its first called pocket pc. if your interested use it as PDA w/ cphone, and some useful staff. but if use w/ videos games, long hours and hacking w/ softwares to run besides default mode.your wasting money and time.for me this unit is expensive and doesnt compliment. read opinions make your own careful judgement bec i played around w/ my pda hack it w/ software and upgrade, use extnded batteries. now its DEAD.hope warranty serves.

 • hi fellows, i am new to the pda world and i was wondering what is this rom everybody is talking about? is it like the computer? and if so can it really be changed? appreciate ur answers

 • Hi, I want to know if this phone is good for me, I am studing English I need to listen it for pronounciation and I need to download books, also I want to know if I will be able to sycronise this device to my laptop.

 • yes, of course, there's difference rom in every country but i can upgrade my rom with another rom (the newest)in different country..

 • yes, i already know the risk before i upgrade my rom, my flame will be totally dead..but now, iam very happy with it, cos it's fix my several problems..so, becarefull if u want to upgrade ur rom. my advice is before upgrade, just backup all of ur data and keep ur original rom to ur pc with total commander software, and if something happened, u can back to ur rom before..

 • As i said to those who really needs it/ have problems w/ their devices.or who cant wait to return their stuff bec it is still warranty covered, might end up taking the risk of others advice to upgrade. diffrnt countries diffrent rom versions thks!

 • i had already upgrade to the new ROM from flame web, and absolutly i knew the risk.. But if we just waiting and waiting MWG for the new ROM, it's useless for me.. my original have some problem and after i upgraded, seem that the problem were solved... so, just take the risk..

 • To all O2 flame users pls be extra careful of hacking or upgrading softwares / rom. check first if you really need it.and the sites where you get info.you can check the MWG which is the new owner of O2 devices. as i said be cautious. use your device wisely not proudly.

 • it's support SDHC but if u want to use SDHC (that's a good news, right?), u will lose WIFI, so it's ur choice..but, don't worry because the next software will allow SDHC n WIFI together..

 • i've just bought mine two weeks ago..i was happy with it, amazing device event i must recharge every day but it's no problem..i had reflash mine to the newest ROM according to XFU pals, thank to them for upgrade ROM..if u like to know everything about Flame then u can visit the omly flame web : www.xdaflameusers.com..u can get info or software or anything about this marvelous thing..

 • yes! it drain a lot, buy a 3150 mah from ebay. that would solved your problem. God bless!

 • I've just bought a O2 XDA Flame few days back. I have a problem with the life of the battery as it lasts less than 8 hrs on normal use, meaning it is very much different from the manufacturer's specification. Can someone help?

 • Just got one of these XDA Flame from Ebay to the Uk and it is the best pocketpc I have used so far. I have had no problems with my Sandisk 2GB MiniSD, no freezing or crashing. Everything works great but I am using it more as a Pocketpc as opposed to a phone. I also got a 3150 Mah battery before this unit arrived. All I want is SDHC, I know this is possible because someone on the Dev forums got it working at the expense of Wifi.

 • just bought a 3150 mah O2 flame extended battery from ebay, its huge!! I run multiple application on it if it drain fast. but it didnt. it includes back cover for the battery. the price is cheap!!! check this out..

 • this is better than HTC TyTN II

 • no it doesnt

 • does this device suport SDHC cards ? this is very important to me please someone answer to me if you know the answer

 • When O2 XDA Flame was out in the market ages ago, we were told O2 is testing Win Mobile 6 on it. But gosh, it has been so long already since I bought the phone but the Win Mobile 6 upgrade is still not forthcoming! Can O2 please advise?

 • A perfect hit...The best mobile I have used ever!!! 100 times better than all Nokia communicator. I used all communicators from 9110 to E90, but I'll go back to Nokia now.

 • Great surround sound and stunning graphics with its 3.6" screen and NVIDIA GPU. Not so big as compared to the screen size. Only addition I would love to have is a Windows Mobile 6.0 Upgradation

 • Go to www.xda-developers.com or www.pda4x.com for all your pocket pc questions....

 • hi i really like the o2 flame, but i also like the o2 xda exec, which one would u guys choose. could you please email me what you would choose. thanks

 • great pda and sweet features but it's only problem is that it's huge...

 • To anacreonte2804, I do have pocket hack master installed... How do i set the CPU speed? I dont see any in there... Please elaborate step by step.. thank you..

 • do it has A2dp ?

 • does anyone know if the Cherry G84-4321 SUNRG keyboard works with the O2 xda flame since it has a USB adapter, and does anyone know where to purchase the Cherry G84-4321 SUNRG in the US or online

 • The best option for an external key board is a wireless bluetooth keyboard..

 • who can make this phone update to windows mobile 6?

 • since the flame can take usb jump drives through an adapter, is it possible for it to take usb keyboards?

 • i'm pretty sure this phone can edit and create word documents but could someone just clarify that for me? also, i was wondering if anyone knows if this phone can support external keyboards, and if so do you have any recommendations? thanks

 • BY the way! how long is PPC was around? "ive been using PPC for nearly 20 years"by anacreonte2804. windows 95 was not yet around, yet PPC was there already? are sure?......... {:(

 • Pls nomore bragging about this, just show us in the youtube or explain in details not in general. your not,the only one is using this gadget.have a heart this Christmas. by the way the sites you gaven me,the softwares are not specifically for flame!and no gaurantee it will work! thk you a lot Mr.anacreonte2804. GodBlessu!

 • Dude How did u over clock ur flame?? and how did ya turn ya interface to a htc interface??

 • Ive been using Xda Flame for around 2+ months i have totally transformed UI interface to a HTC Tytn II interface looks amazing plus have put in larger battery now get about 5 days standby with moderate use or 2-3 with heavy use. Have also over-clocked to 663mhz this is good for playing video which ive encoded upto 900mps also have encoded some Divx hd mobile movies looks fantastic. There some seriously good games for pocket pc that would scare the pants of a Nintendo DS and even PSP. Ive been using latest build of Core for my movies and Music simply a must have for any PPC. Many people past tense have been bashing the Flame but thats largely these people being newbies to the PPC Arena and dont know what there doing i have overcome any problems that i did have on the Xda Flame and now proves to be best PPC on the Market This device is very unique as it has VGA - TV-Out very good 2mpx Camera Stability is very sound Ive also tweaked bluetooth and cannot fault this machine in anyway and ive been using PPC for nearly 20 years up until the Flame every PPC Flopped until this one forget iPhone or Nokiaa n95 8gb both which lack serious 3rd party support. All Rise and see a true PPC My next task for this device is to get a vista type interface for Flame and then to see if XP/Vista can run via emmulation. so much to test.......

 • i am just using O2 XDA Flame, i want to update as WM6. but i don't know what it suppose to upgrade. Does it the same OS as Xda Exec? Ana, as per your opinion XDA flame is the same OS with XDA Exec, right? pls give me your comments. Thanks

 • Try (hard reset)reinstalling it, its in the manual pg 37,38..if it dosnt return it for warranty.

 • Does anyone have a problem with the camera? When i press camera button, it said that" the file Ca,era cannot be opened. Ether it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You migh need to reinstall or restore this file." I have just bought it. I don't know what to do next. If you know, please help me. thanks.

 • connect your flame and activate sync, then open your window media 10 0r 11, go to library open/click flame device and in the side it will show sync device. after you can drag and drop any file movie you have as long as windows media allows. there you start sync. enjoy!

 • can anyone tell me how to put videos onto the o2 xda flame. it always say error. what file format should the video be on? is there anywhere i can download free movies for my xda. thanks

 • can anyone please tell me if they have ironed out glitches that were in the Atom Life when making this phone

 • I like the shape and scre3en size of XDA Flame but I would buy it if it is upgraded to WM6, 3 MP camera and GPS. Will an upgraded model be made available and if so, when. Thanks

 • do O2 flame display chinese? can it use in canada. here we have fido and roger phone compony, and it can may voip call?

 • Hi, my videocall camera displays only black and white pictures. I could not find the option of turning it to color. Previously, it used to show up in color. Can anybody tell me how to change it back to show color photos? Thanks

 • Hi Josh in answer to your question yes Xda Flame will in US and T Mobile Payg will works as well

 • im pretty new to the pda/smartphone world, but i recently decided to buy one for myself. i did my research and the O2 Flame looks like a pretty good option. so my question to you guys is that is it possible for me to purchase this and run it through a US gsm service like t-mobile or cingular by just using one of their sim cards? and do u think i could use their prepaid service to power my phone insted of a contractual service?

 • pocket hack master will increase speed to 627mhz this is vital to get smooth frame rate past 25 frames per second on movies. battery life is better with 2000mah but make sure you close down programs when finished and set cpu to lowest setting when not used.

 • Thks for the info guys but just like to ask more queries, like; 3rd party software`s name, which increases cpu to 663mhz and for the extended batteries keep us posted, if you`ve tried already!

 • Hi most of the software that you will need for this device can be found on handango.com and use device type xda exec as this is compatible with xda flame any more queries let us know iam currently pushing this baby to the limits i think xda flame is untouchable at the moment.

 • I have to disagree with last post the Xda Flame is very good indeed i have video running very smooth and encoded at 900kps this is achieved by using 3rd party software which increases cpu to 663mhz and again bearing in mind camera is a 2mpx this is the best pda shots ive seen for camera resolution. Battery is hungry on this device but putting higher mah battery 2000 sorts this out and sound quality coming of speakers superb when encoded at say 320mps as ive said before this device is exellent in the rights hands read my previous posts

 • Hi! i`m using O2 for amonth now,i test it in deffrent ways, video is nice but lack more ram, its not smooth enough. the pda works fine big capacity. camera has good colorful shots but not high resolution. even if you adjust to the max. spkr is crackling only fare. headsets good quality but when you plug in to amplifiers it sound horrible! TV out is again colorful maybe bec of GPU, but again its not DVD quality maybe its highly compressed. the 3G is ok, audio recording is not clear, you have to place your mouth close enough. no battery spare and other acc for this available yet and the battery life is short, but using for cellphone standby and or pda is ok. w/out using the others.no GPS, expensive, touchy side buttons, bulky. if i`m to choose others theyre all the same but in diffrent specs and amount. next time i`ll buy pda w/ everything i like on it might be 2yrs from now. as of now i will use it as my daily thing. and not to fashion! a lot room to improve.

 • many asian companies are selling the 2000mah battery and there is even a 3800mah in the works.

 • where do you get the 2000mah battery?

 • hey guy,did your device bluetooth ok? when pairing the headset??after go to sleep mode then on it back the connection will lose.....

 • hey can u pls help me out guys.i got the flame last week.i wanna put some games in it.can ny1 tell me wat type of format of games is supported by the flame.nd can the nokian n-gage games, java or jar games be supported on the flame.nd where can i get them. thankx! the flame rocks!!

 • I had been following this Pda since it was first announced back in late 2006 and was totally blown by the spec. In Everyday use it has plenty of grunt under the bonnet to perform any task you through at it. Now i feel to correct some user critisms, yes battery consumption is high on this PDA with 3.7 inch VGA Screen also powering 2 processors so this is no surprise. Putting it head to head with simular devices like XDA Exec or Dell Axim X51v then the Xda Flame fairs very well, but to overcome this situation buying a 2000mah battery totally sorts this problem out. O2 designed this device as a true multimedia PDA PMP and is currently sitting at the top of the tree in this area. This device has a Nvidia goforce graphics chip which in practice makes games work faster and Movie Playback is truely amazing as this device supports Mobile WMVHD which when played via headphones selecting SRS is truely cinematic at best and no other Pda ive used has come close to this..i have also overclocked device to 650mhz which is used for more demanding tasks. At the end of the day PDAs are very versatile and many people complain about some features that this PDA doesnt have like HSDPA etc but i can do just about do anything on this device, and even wow people with programs ive written that truely push the boundaries of Mobile devices so its down to how technical you are ,as to how good your device is. Other Functionality like Camera for a 2mpx is very very good indeed and this device does pretty much what all other devices do so for me a 100% thumbs up this device i would recommend Xda Flame for the more technical user as it does have tremendous potential in the right hands The Xda Flame is currently selling in big numbers so the future is very bright.

 • WOW....I Cant believe this Expansys Europe are sole sellers now of Xda Flame for an amazing low price of 349.99 thats alot of Pda for little money ive placed my order and theres 627 in stock you will not get a better spec PDA for that money believe ive looked at PDAdb database pound for pound this babys at the top the tree Nvidia goforce video and graphics chip and SRS cinematic 5.1 sound and HDWMV play back What a VGA Screen wow... pooh forget HTC Hail grand master XDA Flame.

 • has ne1 tried to use USB joypad. seems less useful without keys for gaming. must have included some sort of keyboard... and does it have a camera lens cover?

 • I'm planning to buy one but am not sure if it has a virtual alpha-numeric keypad with predictive text capability. I am not particularly keen on entering text strictly through tapping a qwerty keyboard or through handwritting recognition only. thanks

 • looks like the Geforce 5500 video acceleration quite useless, the playback still choppy compare to 2700g video accelerator on Axim see here

 • I have been using O2-XDA since the first generation. I bought O2 XDA-Flame about 2 months ago, I encountered serious problem using this version, can anybody help me as to how to correct the problem? a.It frequently hangs in the middle of a call or writting sms message. b.Battery life is very short, only aboout half a day during a normal usage. c.Have to frequently reset it to make it work, this is really so cumbersome. I believe there is solution. I'm not an IT person, so your help is appreciated. BSA

 • Do you think this is the same 2mp auto focus camera thats on o2 cocoon ??I mean do you think its just the standard camera module in all these o2 devices

 • hey guys.. do you happen to encounter a software for Flame that would allow it to burn mp3 files using an external dvd writer? thanks..

 • Anyone know what is the default password for O2 Flame to accept data transfer?

 • I've been using the O2 Flame since mar2007. It has some bugs. Although internal memory is only 3% used, it hangs on receiving calls & on restart internal memory icon is very slow to show up on screen). There is some lag in displaying change of menu too. Any 1 have similar experience?

 • hey guy did your O2 flame when pairing the headset bluetooth god problem or not? when switch off and on back. you have to repairing back.....?????

 • By the way if you have Xda Flame buying a 2000mah battery of higher is a very good idea as this gives very good battery performance....many people have complained on this matter but this does resolve issue hope this helps.

 • The device is a power house, but it's ROM needs updating for several reasons: 1. Blue tooth headset pairing gets lost when device is off. 2.Sometimes while video operation we require its LED lights on, which is not possible with present ROM. 3.Camera template /frame mode is desired.

 • To Chen: We should admit that the O2 XDA Flame is really big.. the engineers need the size to feet the 3.6 inch screen right guys? so there, the bulky-ness of the device is the result of the large screen. As for the pocket pc side, its really one wonder. Imagine this, you have the O2 XDA Flame, a IRDa wireless keyboard, and a bluetooth mouse.. and what do you have? a very portable mobile pc.. and it can all fit in your pocket. (a very big one though.. hehehe) Hope this clears the issues on its size friends.

 • Thanks Trimavis for your clarification. Well!......configuration wise the flame would be the best compared to atom life. However the flame is bit bulky to be considered as a pocket pc; also still the WM 6.0 ROM upgrade is not announced for the device.

 • hi guys........... i checked out this o2 at hyper city ....and was just amazed to see the phone i was so attracted tht i thought of purchasing it the same time....bt stilll would like to know whether o2 flame is the bigger one........... coz the one which i saw i felt its different bt he told me its the 02 flame................im keeen on buyin this ...bt plz if ny1 cus suggest whether to go for it or not...........coz i really love this one

 • flame is stil the best among all but too big the handset. if the size can reduce to the size of Atom Life. than it will be great and the camera should replace atleast 3.2 megapixel with Xenon flash. Ram shall be improve to 256 Ram and not the Rom size improve only.

 • to sina is that the bluetooth pairing ok?when u turn it off and on the connection will lose. did u try it?

 • @ Trimavis: Thanks for info. It's tweaked version of Atom Life & nothing so special people.

 • To Chen: O2 Comet is Germany's version of the O2 Xda Atom Life, they did some modifications to Life like the casing, from the glossy finish, they made it to matte finish. Basically they're the same in features and specs. To Sina: Ei.. O2 Comet is for Germany's release of the O2 Xda Atom Life. O2 Xda Atom Life is named such for Asia and others except Germany.

 • The reviews for flame look positive. I was quite taken by the design of Atom life (but of course the reviews are not so) Guys please comment on this..... what is the difference between the Atom Life and Comet? Aren't both the same except for the operating system WM5.0/WM6.0

 • for addition, this phone still running WM5 and the upgrade WM6 (official and unofficial) still not available.

 • I just bought this PDA few weeks ago. i found that this PDA relatively very stable and amazing compare to those predecessor like Xda IIs, IIi, and Atom Exec. in terms of speed, this phone remind me to O2 Xda Exec which is almost the same quality. 1. Battery - to me can last quite long with normal usage (without wifi, WMP or beta player) 2. Wifi - very stable and searching very fast. 3. Camera - compare to those normal nokia phone or samsung with same 2MP, i can say the quality is so so even lower. 4. Audio - using external speaker not really good, especially when increase the BASS. but when use earpice, it is perfect as this phone has equaliser like WINAMP and after adjusting, the sound pretty clear. 5. Processor - i can run so many programs (WMP, camera, explorer, excel, word, internet+wifi) without any lagging and the response still maintain fast. 6. Sound - when make a phone call, the sound relatively clear, not really different with normal phone. not so loud and not so soft like O2 Xda Graphite. I have not tried using the TV out as i seldom use it. and i have not compared to O2 Xda Zinc. but entirety, this phone to me is amazing...

 • Very shortly i am going to be getting this device ive read all of the reviews-and blogs regarding this device. I have found many inaccurate statements and info from biased or haters of microsoft devices...some PPC users are newbies and so there comments have to be wieghed. Looking at this device from a unbaised stance this device claims to be the only true multi-media PPC and looking at the spec you will be hard pressed to find a simular device..bearing in mind that this device is multimedia centric. I have used many smartphones and PPC of all shapes and sizes since the beginning of the mobile phone era.. I will be testing core phone ability just making a receiving phone calls, day to day usage as a phone. Multi-media ability Movie play back..using tcpmp/core divx- wmv/wmvhd +srs sound production. Cam corder quality on phone and on tv-out. Gaming accelerated and normal PPC Games on phone and tv-out Music play back out of phones stereo speakers in phone and listening on headphones via srs. Radio listening.. Xda flames rom stability Wifi/Bluetooth Usage Web and Email Browsing Memory management etc.. and any other questions please ask and i will compile this into my review

 • @ trimavis: You're right, I think softpedia.com post the wrong PDA...

 • Listen guys, this device is best in PDA world & very rare, but: In the box # Handset Transceiver # Battery # Charger # Headset # Manuals & CD # 2 Data cables The phone The initial impression on taking the Flame out of the box is that it does rather look like a slice of bread. It is large, flat and a few people I showed it to did wonder who the maker was. That was because the logo is black on black and not very noticeable. Many also remarked on the obviously large device, which I had pegged to be ideal for watching videos on. A TV cable is in the box, so I guess that one is supposed to plug the Flame into a convenient TV set and show pictures, videos and probably powerpoint presentations on the TV set. The entire device is in black, with a checked pattern on the battery cover as a result of etching alternate squares in one direction. The camera lens bulges out of the back, which isnt a very good idea because there will be a lot of wear and tear on the camera lens over time. The idea should have been to protect the lens, not to expose it. The screen, as we mentioned earlier, is very large. While this is excellent, the Flame drains the battery faster than a bunch of roughnecks go through a case of beer. Charging takes a rather long time, around five hours to charge up the Flame from a totally flat battery. After 24 hours of leaving the Flame alone to sulk by itself, nearly half the charge was gone. Imagine what it would be like if you made use of the voice and data connections, not to mention turning on WiFi or Bluetooth. Chances are, you will need to buy a second battery, and your Flame would spend much of its time attached to the wall charger or your PC USB. Oh, there is no cradle for the O2 Flame, but there is a nice little USB-On-The-Go cable which lets you plug a thumb drive directly into the Flames USB port. That is a pretty good idea because I can put my larger video clips onto a thumb drive and just plug and play when I need it. Software There is a slight delay when you push the power button on the top of the device. Ideally, the faintest of touches lights up the screen. However, in this device, I had to press the power button repeatedly and keep glancing to see if the screen lights up or not. Occasionally it does and occasionally it doesnt. It is annoying and takes a lot of getting used too. Especially if you are in a rush. The OS in use is the 5.0 version of Windows Mobile, which is quite surprising considering that it has been five months since the official announcement of Window Mobile 6.0. However, the processor is an IntelR PXA-270 running at 520 MHz. Reports say that O2 is testing the WM 6.0 OS so look out for the upgrade or just wait until it is upgraded before you buy. The memory capacity is rather large for a device this size. The internal flash memory is 64MB + 2GB, and there is 128MB of RAM. All of this displays 65K of Colours onto a 480 x 640 TFT LCD screen. As usual, there are a ton of O2 applications inside the Flame. Add the large internal memory, a large micro SD and a large plug-in thumb drive and a Bluetooth keyboard, and you could have the beginnings of what is a rather lightweight albeit messy laptop. That is, for the short time until PDAzilla here drains whatever batteries you might have. And you might want to plug it in to the TV if you are going to bitch about the screens size. Connectivity The Flame supports 3G, but leaves out HSDPA connectivity. It is a triband device, supporting GSM 900/1800/1900. Bluetooth and Infrared are present for local connections, whilst GPRS and WiFi are also built in and these options can be toggled on or off from the shortcut key at the bottom of the left edge of the PDA. Camera The camera is a 2-megapixel one. Firing up the camera was rather tedious as it took some time for the device to switch from its regular portrait mode screen to the landscape mode used by the cameras viewfinder. However, once that is out of the way, shots were quick and easy. The autofocus is much better than that on other competing camera phones, and quickly adjusts and shoots. That might be due to the extra graphics processor in the device. A really great touch was the back arrow icon which flashed onto the screen after a shot was taken. Quickly touch this with your finger and the device switched right back into viewfinder mode and is immediately ready to shoot another picture. With enough practice, you could easily get 4-5 pictures in 10 seconds or so, which makes it a pretty good camera for me. However, the zoom is not too good and only goes up to 4x and the effects are quite limited. Games There are two games in the phone. They are Bubble Breaker, which is also known as Jawbreaker in other PDAs. The second game is Solitaire. Both of these are pretty much standard with any Windows Mobile devices these days.

 • hi vdo camera not p'perly operate(mpls) give mi ur suggestion thnx n rgds sushil

 • hello guys.. Hey Sina.. O2 Comet looks a lot like O2 XDA Atom Life isnt it? Atom Life only has a glossy finish while this Comet has a matte finish.. is it like O2 Xda Atom and O2 Xda Atom Exec dont you think?

 • flame on! truly amazing!

 • xDA comet? not for those who are considering the Flame. Flame has a 640x480 resolution as oppose to the common 320x240 on the comet. A more direct competitor would be toshiba G900. It is similar in price, but has a qwerty keyboard and an even higher resolution at 800x480. Other things that the flame is missing are HSPDA connection, WM6, fingerprint reader. There is really no reason to choose Flame over the the G900.

 • Guys, check this out: O2 XDA Comet New O2 PDA:

 • For all the comments you made.....I found out that this device is truely amazing....try (o2-xda-flame.handster.com)for the trial software addons

 • I heard someone mentioning this machine is "theater in the pocket"?? Ya right, that's if you are willing to bring along the power adapter as well. I hope you have big pocket. and maybe a tight belt to prevent the pants from falling off. I use many PDAs and have learnt that regardless of what the machine can do, it is all useless without a good battery life. At the moment, Nokia N61 has the best Battery life/feature/price/form factor among all the PDAs.

 • Hi all who have problems with this phone please post videos on youtube.com with the problem for a proof or you are postind misleading information here.

 • hey guys this phone is really great, being using it for a month no problems at all...

 • Latest price: $714.95

 • Price: $1100~1400

 • hey, does this fown uses..like a sim card?

 • Good reviews, GREAT specs. Looks like a brick. Archaic design. This PDA is THICK compares to competition. Remind me of Compaq PPC a long while back. I hoped they manage to trimmed it down a little. May be in the future they will manage to put everything into a microprocessor.

 • hi,my O2 Flame why suddenly off and then suddenly on again? so strange.. n then, when i used this PDA i can`t received message can`t send sms also. n can`t make a call, also answering a call..

 • To Trimavis. You should get your facts straight about the purpose of a GPU. I very well know a GPU is for playing games and it is also used for decoding and encoding video. Go to this link and check for yourself. This is what they say: SMOOTH DVD-QUALITY VIDEO PLAYBACK NVIDIA GoForce GPUs are capable of both encoding (recording) and decoding (play back) video at a fluid 30 frames per second delivering smooth, jitter-free, high-quality video To Wayne: I have been using PDA's for the past 3 years now and am NOT a Nokia user. Guess I just got unlucky with this unit on my hands.

 • To Diablo, I very strongly think you don't OWN a flame at all. You are the ONLY ONE who got SO many WEIRD problem. So i bet, nokia user...

 • Hey Diablo.. what the devil are you talking about? Sounds like your NOT actually using the unit since you dont know what the GPU is for eh? The GPU is for the display not for capturing moving scenes/videos. I dont where you get your unit, have you tried to bring it back where you bought it and have it replaced?

 • Hi everyone, hear me out. DON'T ever buy this phone. I have had lots of problems with it. 1. It freezes a lot 2. The phone wireless has serious problems. Doesn't recognize the network many times. Have to reset it to make it work. 3. It reboots on its own 4. Hangs in the middle of a call (Imagine what would happen if you are talking to a client) 5. Battery loses charge within half a day on normal usage 6. Camera is horrible. Video recording is very poor inspite of the nVIDIA Graphics chip. 7. nVIDIA graphics chip makes no difference while using the camera, although Call of Duty game plays ok(not that good) 8. One CPU optimization mode, it is very slow. My advice is don't buy this phone. You will regret it.

 • why the bluetooth pairing always disconnected.......when the device going to sleep mode......

 • hey im having a prob. please help.i cn connect the gprs thru my phone but wen i connect to msn it always says that check ur proxy server.im usin a hutch connec. in india

 • I love My o2 xda flame

 • hi can anyone tell me that whether we can update flame to windows mobile 6...and how

 • Hi can anyone tell me if it supports A2DP? can i use stereo bluetooth headset on flame? SuRk yes i am use stereo bluetooth headset with flame but it has serious bluetooth connection bug, when device goes to sleep mode and you wanna wake up device,it disconnects the bluetooth pairing and you will have to pair it all over again. flame is the best in features IF o2 pull their finger out and release either wm6 or better rom. but who knows what they r up,they aren't listening anyone at the moment,i hv seen ppl started seling their flames and switching to some other similar craps,i will hold on to it cause i watch lots of movies on it and its really a theater in your pocket, picture wise and sound is just amazing through its own headset.

 • UMTS ??? How could only UMTS(384 kbps)network, why not using HSDPA (3,6 mbps) network for better access. Even O2 XDA Atom Life using HSDPA. It's not so cool for using UMTS while the others features is best :(

 • Hi can anyone tell me if it supports A2DP? can i use stereo bluetooth headset on flame?

 • Is it having 3g? What it means by secondary video call?

 • i lov it!!!! its 1 of the coolest phone i had seen ever...... ooopssss.....mind blowing pda also......

 • oi Neo.. you can output the flame to a projector using the TVOut feature where the flame has the usual RCA jacks. For LCD, your LCD should have an IN for the RCA jack.. :) hope this helps

 • Hi guys, How exactly do we connect Atom Flame to LCD display? Can this be connected to a projector for giving presentations? Is this functionality available with other PDAs as well?

 • I used flame for 1month already.,still wait for the rom upgrade.flame have good performance, but, when charging.,i dont know why the indicator always write 98%.,after that if i restart the phone it change to 100%..,

 • anyone know when will be WM6 ROM upgrade available for O2 Xda Flame

 • hi Jay, the O2 XDA FLAME does not have a slide-out keypad. texting and inputs are done using the virtual keyboard. BUT.. you can use a bluetooth keyboard though :)

 • Does the flame have a slide down keyboard? can anyone please tell me because ive read your reviews and im really considering buying it. I just dont know if it supports a slid down keyboard

 • hey tarun, i dunno about your experience with the devices you just mentioned but those are manufactured by ODMs and NOT O2... there are also several areas worth considering, like software, hardware etc.. so dont blame O2 if you have some bad experiences with it.. striding aside.. have you tried using O2 Flame? if you haven't i encouraged you try it first and comment on it (the device) and not O2 (the company)

 • hey trimavis....my experience whcih i hve ritten about is about the stealth , atom exec nd the zinc....i mite b wrong on the manufacturer front from n angle but wat im trying to say is tat O2 is on a sinking platform nd it had made a mistake by killing its relations wid HTC....i hve had a horrid experience with it whcih still continues nd i strongly advice everyone to dump O2 nd choose sumtin like HTC or IMATE....or nything else.... thank u fr the info by the way... appreciate it.. Tarun +919884414907

 • and one more thing..if u plug in ur flame into an lcd and use bluetooth wireless keyboard......ur lightest desktop is ready....the lightest in the world....wow..amazing....because u can use lcd and enjoy all those things ......................have fun

 • Yes this will open more than 100 MBs pdf file. I just tested.

 • Hi Bros, seen so many good comments about flame, can someone comments on how long can the battery last and does this device runs stable, ie. seldom has "hanging" or any hardware issues? Thanks.

 • and yes USB ON THE GO is the best feature, you hook anything that takes usb cable with flame it not just detect that device as hard drive, you can transfer data print stuff etc from that device via flame, i usually take pictures and hook my camera with flame and suck all pictures out of camera into flame and watch them on 3.6 true vga sharp screen, no comparison between sony and flame, flame is small pc bundled with phone and many other features you carrying in your pocket, wat sony p1 offers? some very usual, is that right? again don't listen to that he talking crap :)

 • hey man, i use headphones most of the time, it feels really a theater in ur pocket, amazing sound and picture quality and outside stereo speakers are good too offcourse, don't listen to this dude, he doesn't have or can't afford flame or maybe he has some serious issues thats why talking crap about flame, how could you comment on something that you don't even have???

 • hello, can u guys help me wit this? does this phone hv gd speakers compared 2 p1 ?

 • "This is the likely winner of the ugliest pda award for 2007. I think O2's decision to switch away from HTC and use Arima / Quanta or whomever else needs to be reconsidered. Agreeably, HTC does not always make pretty pdas but c'mon, this certainly looks like crappy." I dunno the problem of the person who posted this comment here... but he certainly doesnt know anything about specs.. hey man, youre looking at the outside... what matter most are the features... you don't go for looks when you buy gadgets.. you look for its output.. i dunno about you man, but you should be an artist.. painting on a canvas.

 • hey desiree, about your question which of the 2 (flame or p1) is better. first things first SE P1 runs on Symbian O2 Flame runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 Flame has SRS (surroundsound)technology but can be appreciated best with its headset plugged-in. i do assume that you intend to listen to mp3 music using the headphones right? so its a matter of combining the device you chose with the proper headset. with flame, it comes with 2.5mm headset port, so you'll need an adapter for 3.5mm so that you can use your favorite headphones. Now add that with the SRS WOW, you'll get a surround sound experience. but if you prefer, a camera over everything else, i suggest you go for p1, but if you intend to be productive, ill go straight with FLAME. oh before i forget, with flame you can also play those WMA sound formats that is not playable in P1, also you can watch music videos or movies with FLAME and output it using TV Out, (no tvout for P1) and lastly you can plugin your 1gb, 2gb or even 4gb flashdrive into the flame and it will be detected as a drive.. this is the coolest thing.. you can have as much mp3 files or movies :) choose wisely

 • do u know wat sony phone is and wat xda flame is? just read through their specifications, two different things,i have flame and its great, can not list its goodies here big list.

 • Hey ppl. Can anyone tell me if this o2 xda flame's speaker is loud? is it louder than sony ericsson p1?? im planning to get a new pda phone... which do u think its better? sony ericsson p1 or o2 xda flame?????? thanks in advance ppl!have a nice day

 • the xda flame ahs srs labs built in for better quality music

 • This is the likely winner of the ugliest pda award for 2007. I think O2's decision to switch away from HTC and use Arima / Quanta or whomever else needs to be reconsidered. Agreeably, HTC does not always make pretty pdas but c'mon, this certainly looks like crappy.

 • can it open pdf files as large as say 40-60 mb. i tried it on my nokia e-50 and it couldnt even open 7mb pdf files

 • why ppl debating over flame's manufacturer, some say quanta made some say arima, why can't you hold press power button and see falme saying shutting down ARIMA that tells you who created flame :D

 • Hi, please advise on the battery life. Does this device uses alot of power? Can the battery last for 3 to 4 days? Thanks.

 • Hello guest.. for your questions: 1. Printing. Yes you can print directly from the Flame. You can print any document or mail directly from the O2 XDA Flame. There are printer drivers available at the O2 Website -> 2. Copy data to Pen Drive (flashdrive). YES. This is possible. O2 XDA Flame has USB-On-The-Go (USB OTG) which allows you to plug in flash drives into an USB Host connected to the flame and the flashdrive will be seen as a drive on the Flame. See reference link: 3. Editing Powerpoint. There are several applications that you can install with Flame that can perform this but the pocket powerpoint seems satisfactory, here are links: 4. Multitasking. Hmmm.. I havent tried this one.. will inform if tested .. :) 5. You can connect to a pc through ActiveSync 6. YES but its basically the same.

 • Hello everyone, I am planning to buy a new phone but i m confused whether i should buy a normal phone or windows mobile phone. So can any one help me understand if the following functionality works on windows mobile? 1. Can I install printer on my PDA device and print any document like mail directly from my PDA device? 2. Can I copy data directly from my pen drive to PDA and vice a versa? 3. Can I edit power point presentations on PDA? 4. If I am playing songs and already transferring data to/from my PC simultaneously, then at this point if some one calls me, is the PDA/windows OS fast enough to handle all three tasks and properly recieve the call? Or does it hang at this point? 5. In our PCs we can go to Start > Run > \\ and browse other machines on the network. Can I browse these network folders using PDA? Does it connect to any PC with IP address? Or by any other means? 6. If I cant do the above step wirelessly, then Can I do it with my PDA is connected to my laptop with USB drive?

 • sorry for the link.. here's it;

 • hey tarun... i dunno where you get your "partial" info on this discussion.. but your eyes must be closed., we're discussing O2 XDA Flame here.. and it is not manufactured by Quanta.. its Arima... you can refer to this link to be enlightened. there you are guys.. O2 XDA Flame = Arima Communications O2 XDA Stealth = Gigabyte Communications O2 XDA Atom Series = Quanta Computer so to those who will be questioning the Flame, try checking the manufacturer first. There are many ODM that manufacturers not only for O2 but for others as well, I-mate for example.

 • - "wmv works." - Are you sure ?? What about .dat , .mpg , .mpeg , .avi ??? -"ye i m sure and ye above files work too.thanks" -You yourself play these file formats ?? Or you only heard ...

 • - "wmv works." - Are you sure ?? What about .dat , .mpg , .mpeg , .avi ??? ye i m sure and ye above files work too.thanks

 • From O2 Technical Support: And also, with reference to the query you have raised regarding Windows Mobile 6, please be advised that O2 Asia currently has no plans of providing Windows Mobile 6 for current models including Xda Atom except for Xda Atom Life and Xda Zinc at this point of time (no further news as of this moment).

 • and also i wud like to remind you that HTC has come out with its own brand which is very gud....it left O2 ages ago...

 • okay RW0t whoever u r let me make a few things clear for ur convinience 1.that HTC no longer provides handsets to O2 nymore 2. HTC stopped manufacturing for O2 aftr XDA mini. 3.It is now done by Quanta Computers. 4.It would do gud to update your knowledge from time to time. thank you because now everyone knows that HTC is no longer supporting O2....nd that Quanta has ruined the brand.. • - "wmv works." - Are you sure ?? What about .dat , .mpg , .mpeg , .avi ???

 • wmv works.

 • Hi. My friend bought this phone and now he says that his phone cannot play .WMV files !! Is it right ?! He said with some software the phone can easily play this video formats ! Please Answer Me...because I wanna BUY this PHONE ! THANKS !

 • there is update for atom life and zinc but nothing for flame yet, not sure what u refering to? do u have link? thanks

 • Hi there you can upgrade ROM from O2 site . It can be upgraded to windows 6.0

 • are you serious that wm6 is out for flame? its not on their website though, how do you know that they released flame pre-installed wm6 in hongkong? please get back.cheers

 • now available in HK with windows mobile 6 pre- installed.

 • tarun...its ok that you have faced problems. but it is not possible that every handset will have problem. O2 is just supplier. All these handsets made by HTC Korea. HTC provides handset to O2,i met,Qtek etc. Now you tell me who is in fault ? In billions of handset it is quite possible that 100 handsets will have manufacture fault. Not a big deal . O2 gave you replacement for your handset which is very good. Again if you are not satisfied then shift to other company which do not provide HTC handsets.

 • Does this phone comes with built in chinese input? I am not refering to 3rd party software for chinese display and input. Thanks.

 • this a warning to all those who are planning to buy o2 devices in the future! beware! I am from India. I was happy using O2 phones such as the XDA II and the Atom so I decided to go in for another. I purchased an O2 XDA Stealth on Feb 12th 2007 and had immediately regretted the decision as I started facing a hell lot of problems in the device. Almost after a month of correspondence with O2 they sent me a replacement handset. I was happy until i opened the new unit. It had the same problems and some new. Again after long talks with O2 (Mr Keanu) they sent me another replacement promising me that this would work but it did not. Naturally I was very angry and frustrated. At this stage I ahd lost all faith in the Stealth and demanded O2 to give me some other handset for all the inconvienience that I have faced . After a series of talks with O2 Singapore(Mr Keanu) I received an Atom Exec. But my problems worsened! After a couple of days the Exec "died" ie it would not charge. when the charger was connected it would show full battery and when disconnected it would switch off and not switch on for days. Highly annoyed and frustrated I began my talks again with O2 and at the same time bought the O2 Zinc. That was another error from my side as the Zinc also had problems. Its indicator LED malfunctioned and the microphone gave out static. Those were horrible times for me having two defective handsets. O2 finally agreed to replace both these handsets and they did. So I have already used 3 Stealths, 2 Atom Execs and 2 Zincs. That adds up to 7 O2 phones in about five and a half months!!! Well things dont end here. once again I am having problems with the Zinc such as the LED is malfunctioning, the speaker switches on automatically when a call is made, the speaker dies out, screen freezes..etc.. So to all those who are planning on investing their money on an O2 device please do not as the quality of O2 devices is degrading day by day and is no longer dependable as it once upon a time was. if any of you want to know bout the problems i faced in these many devices please contact me on +919884414907

 • Paul - I spoke to O2 directly and they said no. I then spoke to Carphone Warehouse and they said they would not be marketing it because they have made space solely to launch the iPhone (boooooo). They only way I can get my hands on one is abroad (US, Asia or Australia) which is around 425 plus p&p. Hope this helps. Chris.

 • I think the phone is so so the screen is a bit dim (not bright) though :< also the CPU speed did not impress me since i did a benchmark with htc tytn found out tytn was a bit faster to play a vga quality movie also wifi drains a lot of power from this device :

 • hello guys... do anyone of you know where i can download the ROM Upgrade for this Wonderful and superb device? It maybe big but hey, how can 3.6inch screen fit a 2 inch case right? just a simple thing to think about. :) cheers...

 • How about the battery life?

 • Hi, guy, I am from Singapore. I haev been a supporter of NOkia. I never use O2 phone before. This XDA Flame really impress me with its display. As it cots $1400, can I know, is this phone good? I dun want to spend large amount of $ to buy a phone that will hang or lousy. $ is not an issue, but I want to ensure that the $ paid is worth. Thanks.

 • does it have a card scanner as it was in the ads before

 • ok after owning 2 O2 phones i have to say something positive ;) it is a good organiser....thats it! Ou yea i did not forget its other options, i just refuse to be negative :P So in conclusion O2 phones are just good organisers ONLY!

 • Can anyone comment on the screen brightness as well as the battery life? Another thing is that is this phone stable? Thank you.

 • tombah, if you really really do research on PDAs. you should know. Till now, you ever seen a PERFECT PDA in the market? If this Flame got hold of GPS, HSDPA, 10Hrs Usable, what's going to happen to other mobile device in the market? Eveything mobile device got its set back, Yes its so simple, just add a chip in, yeah, GPS is there, but why they wont do it? Which provider will be so stupid to come out with a model that kills their slightly older model mobile devices? You can have your happy waiting. N95. yeah, I got so many colleague using it now and complaining of their normal usage battery life, GPS .. takes 5 to 10 mins to locate the position, LAG, want to add more?

 • I was in hong kong at the begining of the month and this phone is there, selling for about $2600hk in the airport

 • all o2 phones sucks! no competition with nokias n95. so expensive and really hard to sell. u bought it for a high price u sell it for a low price watta crap phone it is. im so disappointed with this phone hard to tx when your on the go. specially when your driving.

 • hey wayne. how much is O2 paying u body. the nxt one will have GPS, then pepole like u will go and by it. id rather wait.

 • Loving this thread and can't wait to get my hands on this PPC. It definitely ticks all the boxes for me :) Does anyone know where I can get one in the UK? And .. if it's possible to upgrade to one as i'm due an upgrade with O2. Cheers all - keep up the good work :)

 • yes nik, its not in the website of o2. i have downloaded it from net !! thts y i asked tht is it good to upgrade or no !!!!

 • whrer is upgrade for O2 Flame, I'm not able to find in there website.

 • alright thanks !!! now i have got WM6 (its around 60mb) ... so should i upgrade it to my flame ?? or its risky ?? Also, 1. is ther any option to increase ringtone volume ?? 2. i paired a nokia blueooth headset (Model : BH-300), it got paired!! but i can hardly hear the opposite person. as there is no volume control on this model, i cannot increase the volume and my phone's vol. was MAX , but stil no loud sound. >>> would appreciate suggestions on this one! 3. when i connect the USB for ACTIVESYNC, the phone get really hot. Whts the reason for this???? but when i charge normally, phone is okay !!!!!!!

 • Argh, just checked O2 website, they have new WM6 ROM upgrade for ZINC! and not Flame~!!! Booo.. For memory card. Im not sure if MicroSD comes out with 4GB already. But well, sometimes we cant really based on what the spec stated. Its all depends on what chipset the MemoryCard use. I believe, 4GB memorycard can work on Flame, just that maybe need get the compatible chipset. It happens on my previus XDAII. As for GPS. We do know without GPS, its disappointing. But comon, we do KNOW with GPS integrated, your battery will drop like crazy (Nokia N95). Since GPS likely to be use in car. Why not buy a Bluetooth GPS unit. And bluetooth sync with O2 Flame for longer usage? If you seriously looking for GPS integrated model. Pls refer to Asus PDA. And not here complaining on "what the heck O2" or what sort.

 • on their sight,O2 says they trid meny SD cards up to 2G. no prblm. isnt this normal.what about 4g O2 or more ?

 • hey Naval, take back 2 the dealer. maybe one of the swiches (the red one ) is stiky

 • hey guys, what u think, such a new unit with all this stuff and no GPS. is this a joke or is this a joke. com on O2. what the hekkk is going on.

 • @ nelson : These are my Wow settings. 3D : 100% Center : 70% Focus : 60% Definition : 70% Trubass lvl : 70% TruBass Speaker : 250Hz Juz played less than 24hrs. :D

 • WooHoo!... I juz got mine yesterday! Yeah. Its great!. When is wm6 upgrade coming? Other than the dedicated graphics, this thing has usb2.0 and usb OTG. Can plug in my 4gb thumbdrive and transfer files straight. The screen is pretty, but the SRS WoW is wow. Bass, treble controllable with surround. The speakers are really not bad... Fast too. Its not as big as what ppl say is itand is damn light even with the battery inside. Really happy with it. Quick, I want my WM6. Cheers! :D

 • Hello, i m from INDIA i just got O2 flame before a couple of dayz. I must say, its simply amazing!!!! i just dont knw how to make maximum use of it !!! but, i m facing a small problem : when i answer or make a call, sometimes i cannot disconnect. i have to switch off the phone and re-start it !!! so can any 1 help me with this ??

 • hey guys, let me know what you think... i've been thinking, because of the usb on the go feature, isnt it possible to get a virus on the flame? if so, is there an antivirus?

 • hi, anyone can tell me, how to make a better sound setting on WOW SRS for talking on phone. pls anyone help!!!!!!

 • Hi Jim34 Please could you answer some questions for me some people are saying that sandisk 2gb micro cards dont work if so what makes do works + power consumption has been said to be very high please could you kindly say what consumption is like in detail and how good is bluetooth on this device.. many thanks Franco

 • Hi.. I just want to know is this phone has GPS? I am looking for a PDA with faster processor and come with feature of GPS, Wifi, and 3G.

 • As i'm planning to get either the o2 xda flame or o2 xda atom life*.

 • Hi Jim, Thanks for all your posts, really helpful ones..:) I have a few qs nd need some real answers since u seem an old-experienced o2 PPC user and as i got really confused nd bored from reading others' complaints nd bogus reviews of o2 devices, to extent i thought of not buying one. But after i've read ur posts, it got me confident nd made me somehow very eager to buy one as soon as it get released in the UK market. Which is better, the o2 xda zinc or o2 xda trion? and their performance comparing to other o2 xda devices. Heard they hang a lot, is it true? Is it cuz its running on windows mobile 5.0? Or its the same slow down with the windows mobile 6.0? What about the keyboard stability? Any issues? And as i'm planning to buy one of those cutting-edge innovative devices, mainly either the o2 xda flame or the o2 xda atom. So which one do u recommend most? Thanks.

 • hey jim, thanks for all your help, i finally buckled and got my unit haha thanks for the advice, the unit is as close to perfect as anything!!

 • Hack is go to Local Machine /System/GDI/Glyphcache change decimal value to say 16384 or 32768 etc The Flame is slightly shorter and thinner than the XDA2 but a tad wider. The case would probably fit if it has some slack in its width. SDHC cards do not work, so you are limited to standard 2GB micro plus the internal 2GB. However since you can use USB flash drives and hard drives, it is not a big deal. I have run movies off a USB stick for example.

 • Hi jim34 Thanks again for all your help really appreciate your comments please can you tell where to get cache hack... Im interest would a XDA IIs case fit Flame or is Flame bigger. what 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor are you using + have you tested a 4 gb micro card yet. I hope to have my beast in about 2 weeks will have more questions later i really appreciate your help Franco

 • Franco I have used a XDA2 for years and have hundreds of games and applications on it. Problem is I have not had time to start testing all these things out, my workload has been horrible lately. I will say that videos ran suberbly - avi divx ones I transfered from my Creative Vision W device. I used Core Player. I did increase the cache though right from the start since I heard others had stuttering video. This is a hack I has on my XDA2 so I just automatically copied it over. I have not encountered any stuttering at all. The screen looks wonderful. I still have my XDA2 so I can compare the two screens side by side. The XDA2 looks pitiful in comparison. When you see the VGA graphics, you say to yourself "Oh yeah, baby" and wonder why you stuck with QVGA for so long. The screen is not bright - it is however the same as what most people would be accustomed to if you reduced the brightness on battery settings on previous units which is what I did with the XDA2 so I personally am happy with it. I know there are gamma settings in the registry I can try adjusting to get it brighter if I wanted to, except I don't because the battery drain is already high. As for the Kaiser, well I am biased. I don't care for its advantages like the keyboard which I hate because I can type so much faster and easier on screen. Also the GPS is something I would never use myself. At the end of the day you interface with the screen. Do you want a powerful PPC sitting behind a 2.8inch QVGA or do you want a powerful PPC sitting behind a 3.6inch VGA screen with a GPU and surround sound? Sorry to all HTC fanboys but the Flame just blows away the Kaiser as a traditional PPC never mind the versatility offered by VGA out and USB OTG. It is not a contest. If you are an old time PPC nut then go with your instincts, you know the Flame specs will remain cutting edge technology for some time to come. Also the Flame looks much cooler in reality than what you see in the pics. Its shape makes the screen like gigantic and is much better than the XDA2 shape. When I show it off, everyone wants one, they think it is the coolest thing they have seen. You have the Aston Martin, they have the Ford Focus. Just smile and pity them :)

 • Have being using it since May 15. Didnt hang at all and very seldom reset. But somethings i noticed. Which i believe it can be improve. The previous Notification Queue. This pproblem exist on previous PDA as well, which too much queue will eventually slow down the phone. 2nd is kind of anoying, and need to be fix as fast. If who ever use Core Player, when you play a video, you will know it will not have any display. You will need to go and set to other video playback. ie; GDI/Raw FrameBuffer. This unit comes with GPU which able to use DirectDraw.. BUT, this device dont comes with the driver! that is why directDraw cannot be use at all at this moment. Still a great phone!

 • I wan to buy this solid phone. Any problem with this phone? Any hang issue? Thanks.

 • Hi jim34 thankyou so much for your answers much appreciated. Can you answer me so more questions if im going to spend nearly 700 uk pounds on this machine its got to be all that. I am away large amount of time from home so this machine has got to be very powerful i am veteran of 20 years when it comes to PPC, and i am currently looking for a long term machine. OK video play back i guess most people are using tcpmp ,have you tested a xvid/divx movie what bit rate have you used also have you or any one tested a wmv9 or h.264 movie what results have you got. Have you also used hacks to increase speed of machine from 520mhz to say 640mhz this is possible. When playing games what results have you had - how does Nvidia goforce make gaming faster..now some are saying that axim 51v games work on this machine? Does this machine have a turbo mode for slowing down machine Brightness of this machine how bright is it. Big question....how would rate this machine up agaisnt say HTC Kaiser. if people could club together to answer these questions it would help many people. End of the day guys theres no PPC like this at the moment...watching movies on this machine should be cinematic with wmv9 for visuals and SRS for the sound if only i could have this machine now i would show you all what this machine can do. thanks again guys Franco

 • Ron My gf has a Stealth, she thought she could text on it then to find out it was not that easy. Anyway the Flame is miles faster than the Stealth and does not slow down when there are multiple programs running nor do you have to wait several seconds for the camera to save pictures etc. I don't like the Stealth, it was a good idea that was not designed properly, you need to upgrade before the resale value of the Stealth plummets.

 • Franco The screen is exceptionally clear and sharp. SRS does five you a surround sound experience over the headphones No problems with stability Camera is probably the best I have seen, very sharp except for grainy night shots as usual.

 • Hi Guys i live in the Uk i have some questions as im interested in this device. Some say screen is fuzzy is this true? How does SRS sound on headphones this is meant to give a simulated 5.1 experience How does voice call sound. Bluetooth is this good? any issues with stability.. Camera shots taken how good are they for a 2mpx camera. many thanks Franco.

 • I just bought the O2 Flame its wonderful.N e 1 having n e queries can ask here...i would be happy to answer them. The phone is absolutely amazing and i m sorry for people who would not buy it

 • by the way, you guys think o2 will offer free wm6 upgrade too?

 • i heard it was around $920... which is steep enough but here in the philippines its selling for $1300!!!

 • ah, thanks jim.. so that means, theres not much diff in the device's speed compared to the stealth? cuz im deciding wheter or not to upgrade..

 • to girl in distress how much USD the price?? some people complaint about it price.

 • It has a CPU and a GPU which is not to be confused with a dual core processor.

 • You might want to hard reset the unit. Mostly like it will work. Press the wireless manager button and camera button and poke the reset button and hold. It will prompt for hard disk. As for the FM radio. U need to plug in the earpiece before u open the program. As for dual processor. What is means is, Arm processor mainly for the PDA and 2nd processor is the Graphic Procssor unit as this model is integrated with Nvidia Go 5500(Better than PsP, and near xbox graphic chip set) But the thing is, i hope they come out with a setting for us to actually config the graphic chip.

 • hi guys, is this pocket pc really a dual processor already?

 • Hi everyone. I just bought the O2 flame yesterday and I'm quite happy with it. good screen size, easy to use. The problem though is that I can't open the camera, self diagnostics and FM radio? " it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or part or one of its components can't be found, may need to restore or reinstall the file" what should I do? Help! thx!

 • i'm practically salivating for this phone... it has all the "essential" features i'd like. but at a hefty price tag, it's about likely that i'l bleed money than to buy one.

 • I'm a day trader. I do a lot of activities online. that's what I'm very pleased with my o2 flame. When you go online, it like you using a core 2 from intel. Excellent Device. I can't wait for the upgrade (wm6).

 • Just want to thank Wayne for his comprehensive post. There are folks out there unduely criticizing the Flame who have never seen or used it. If you check out the comments of those who actually own a unit you will find that they are all very happy with it. It is not perfect but still much better than the current competition. Re Wayne's issue with video playback, this has to do with the cache which WM5 operates automatically but unfortunately poorly. With the Flame's large memory you can set this size manually to a larger number like 16K to ensure smooth playback. If you check out forums like XDA-developers you can find out how to alter the registry.

 • With my 02 xda flame, I don't know if anybody has the same problem. when I put my own ringtone, it won't ring, the window displayed ring, instead. Anybody knows how to fix this problem.

 • AA thanks for the good comments bout this great phone..I'm going to buy it within this two weeks =) can frens tell me how bout the batery?? is it consumes faster?? O yeah i also wanna know bout the difference in speed of HSDPA O2 life compared with O2 flame?? is it really different very many???

 • what is the size of the wallpaper? is it 480 x 640 or...? Thanks.

 • Using this phone for a while since it was launched in Asia. A great PDA phone. People commments it poorly. Likely reason is expensive, camera, Size... Come on. All these comes with a reason. Expensive: Its a Computer INTEGRATED with a phone, pls link a HANDPHONE which can do what this guy can't.You pay for the functions, the technology. You are not buying a cheapo or a Toy. Camera: 2MP is good enough for a quicksnap pic when needed.Only thing i concern is the Flash. But seriouly,if you need a high end pixel camera.Standalone Camera is there for you,10MP camera good enough? This is a phone, camera is an addon pls! Size: Do you ever think of a 3.6" screen Handphone? How do you feel the size? Compare to a PDA that you can use for office work when you can view it so clearly and comfortably? Big size is due to the Screen. Its not that they wanted the size big.Does this kind of device ever exist?Pocket Size with 29" display?Impossible yeah?Pls stop comments on size.I seem someone said its looks plastic? Did you ever hold it before? The design and the feel dont looks plastic to me at all.It has a very nice grib surface and very nice finishing too.Dont look any "plastic" to me at all.Don't based on the picture that you view and gave bad comments. Sound: I have tested the sound with a mp3 song. when going to the loudest, the Sound is Crystal clear. When you hear that the sound is getting crap. You might want to check the song that you are playing instead. Keypad: One good reason why touch screen is good about. Asking, your past handphone. How many times does your number getting harder to respond or dont even respond? Things wear and tear. Movement objects wear and tear. Touch screen overcomes this problem. O2 Flame, somehow I tested compare to previous PDA i used, the respond is very very fast. GPS: It's a good idea to have a GPS. But look at Nokia N95, ask everyone around how's the feedback for being GPS integrated. The first thing will be the battery life, it drains so fast that you dont even realised! How about this? Get a Bluetooth GPS unit, while the O2 Flame connect to the GPS using Bluetooth ONLY for longer usage? Isnt it a better idea? Font: There is a font patch out there for this PDA to read Chinese. So far using this device. Didnt notice any bugs or problem. Someone mentioned on the mp4 video being laggy. I noticed this too. Which i suppose this should not be happening. Likely something to do with the GPU. Anyone knows how to set or config the GPU itself?

 • Yes, nVidia

 • does this mobile has a graphic card....

 • I'm very pleased with my 02 xda flame. So far so good. If it's too big for you, buy abluetooth set. This is an excellent device. no regret.

 • To Louie It has a 2.5mm jack, I already own an adaptor :) Display really is excellent, makes it a real pleasure to use. Dont have any 3d games to test it on yet but I am planning to get Call of Duty soon. Videos are really smooth and look good on TVout. Camera pics are sharp and clear, very happy with it, much better than the usual ones found on PDAs. It uses a mini USB. Yes you can use BT keyboard, or even better use a normal USB full sized keyboard and then use a BT mouse so you end up with a functional PC:) Sound through the speakers is average but sounds excellent through the headphones. Should also mention the O2 software package is generous and works flawlessly. So far I have not encountered any bugs.

 • To Jim34, these are follow-up questions. 1. How's the camera? The Video it takes and pictures? 2. Is the USB a mini type USD or the regular one? 3. Can u use a bluetooth keyboard for this? 4. How was the sound quality? 5. And, what is a strobe flash? is it like a xenon flash? Please answer this.. thanks alot everone!

 • To Jim34, Hi can u please tell me if this phone has 3.5 mm audio output jack. And how was the display of this phone is it superb and supports 3D? Is O2 PDA phone are easy to use? I'm a Nokia user. 17 yr. old. thanks

 • This is a great PDA phone. The screen is just gorgeous and text is so sharp even when small. Videos look amazing too. I love the USB cable as it allows me to use my USB flash drives instead of having to sync to a PC. Sound is well... typical PDA but the surround capability is excellent on headphones. This PDA is just a blast, the best thing to have been released in years. The only downer is battery life which usually hits 20% by the end of the day with just medium use. Not a problem during the week when I have it charging on USB at the office but at weekends I need to make use of my car charger to top it up while traveling. I really should make use of the spare battery but I am too lazy to charge both! Highly recommended

 • Expensive and doesn't impressed. Chunky and heavy. Don't get it!

 • Hi i was planing to buy o2 xda flame but many people are not happy with this ph....is their any main problem which i should before i get it....any info will be hell full thax in advance

 • I just bought the xda flame. To tell you the truth, I love it. It's a great pda phone, very fast processor. When I go to the internet I have no problem going to any website. But I have a few problems such as speaker phone is not clear enough, when some people call me, phone is not ringing, this doens't happen so often. I hope when they upgrade it with WM6 they can fix those problems, other than that this a great PDA Phone.

 • Hard to believe the number of stupid comments from people who clearly haven't even seen one for real. If you've actually used a device, the comments would have some basis, but to just abuse it on the basis of a specs sheet? Please...

 • 125-only this

 • Expensive, Look plastic and cheap, no any PDA cover out of the box, no keypad

 • I've tested this fone for a while and i noticed that when i tried to play an ipod mp4 file, the video playback was lagging and poor, so what the hell is the gpu for? the size is really bulky and the after trying the speakers at full volume, they started to crack and the sound was already screeching but the sound was not even loud enough, what good are the stereo speakers then? the quality of the sound was definitely very poor. the screen is just ok at 65k (limited due to wm5) but i'd really like it to have 16million colors already! no gps? no keypad or keyboard? what is wrong with this device??!! and the price is gna cost you both ur arms and legs! you be the judge!

 • Does it support chinese character in reading and writing ?

 • In your description not correct photos. In Ukraine sales of this device have already begun and here there are alive real photos.

 • Still no GPS and 5M Camera's???

 • Could've been a perfect PPC, if these were available: EDGE technology, Sliding keyboard and an integrated GPS chip. But i dont understand why they never manufacture such PPC!

 • Can I use this uncredible VGA phone in Korea? In korea, CDMA,WCDMA and HSDPA Networks are only available.

 • Huh? Big and bulky. Looks ugly too. Specs are nothing mind blowing. Why do I need this? Just a waste of money even if it comes free with a service plan.

 • Hello.....you don't need a fast processor when you have a dedicated GPU. What exactly would a fast processor run anyway? It would just drain the battery faster for no good reason. Also you are missing the biggest draw - USB on the go. You can plug other USB devices straight into it like flash memory sticks and printers. You can watch video from the PC without needing to convert it first because of the VGA screen. This is the closet thing to a real pocket PC that has been released short of buying a UMPC. Easily beats anything HTC is offering including the U1000 which is not even POCKETABLE!

 • display is only 65k colors.wake up o2 display should be 16M colors..u are way behind..dont buy dis fone people.let o2 learn a lesson

 • god, i was shocked, NO GPS, and should increase the camera mega pixels.

 • Its very userfriendly devise i ever use. Nice work and nice feautures.

 • hey guys this phone may seem lousy in the specs however the best part about this phone is that its the first ever phone to have a integrated video graphics card to allow you to watch hd movies..which explains the need for vga screen =]

 • its a cool phone but still its lacking somewhere like in the camera and songs player. It should play every kind of file like dat, mpeg, etc. Camera should be increased to 3 to5 mp. Hope O2 will make some changes in the upcoming model to bring about these changes. Lets hope or the best

 • its cool and i get every o2 mobile tested because my dads 02 is my dads company sponser

 • Fairly average fare i must say. O2 is showing us nothing these days. U want a WM pda? HTC kicks ass! For symbian, Nokia rocks!

 • this is ok, but why they don't put a pixel high camera, why 2.0 not higher

 • Xda Atom Flame should be 1GB Ram , Ok for 2 GB flash Rom , processor speed should be 620 Mhz , GPS , HSDPA , Window Mobile 6 , 3-5 MP camera .. Marady

 • well well well i like this PPC already...it have all u need and u realy dont need that much memo on phone and i think 2 gb good for that ppc u need more memo buy a biger Hdd to your pc or loptop this is a pda phone not a loptop ok every body cry coz the ppc dont have edge who needs it this days i dont i use fi-wi lan anyway on my ppc's its free and i can get connected anywhere u just have to know how to doit even on secure wifi lan the rom is good the ram is ok... its not like u run 8 programs in a same time... so 128 or 192 mb ram is ok for it..the cpu 520mhz is nice speed for this pda plus u can over clock it so it will run faster...i know there is 620 mhz or more... but come on u dont need phone fast like that... u aint running a cd burners on that and games will work on this pda real good the price hmm let me see i see even more expensive phones and they have nothing on them so why complane if ur little smart then u wait when the price go down i will not wait and i will buy the pda anyway even if its more then 1000$ O2's are good phones i know there is little bug's on them but thats ok the normal cell phone's stop respond to i have one like Sagem my X8 and it's doing the same like on pda's they stop u press the numbers nothing happen...and all other stuff if u guys know what i mean....and u have to take the bati out and put it in to start the phone again so its not just the ppc's but a normal once too

 • is that true : NO GPS ????

 • i saw this phone out earlier this week.... costing 7900hkd about 1000usd

 • no gps?

 • Wow!! amazing..!!

 • I think it is still consider weak specs eventhough with a big screen. This is because the screen is VGA and not QVGA,processor only 520Mhz,2GB only Flash ROM not internal RAM,still 2 Megapixels camera. The weakest point is still running on Win Mobile 5.0 whereby should go for Win Mobile 6.0. So I guess you can see all the weakest points for a new PDA Phone. What impressed me is the battery(1620mAh),Bluetooh 2.0 & NVIDIA GoForce 5500 GPU only. Well,it is not worth it to get this device & with the price I guess better get a high end laptop:))

 • My first expression of this PDA os WOW..2gb internal memory..the best thing is use NVIDIA GoForce 5500 3D Hardware Accelerator for prosessor..

 • Hello guys, please surf around the internet and find out more before comment on this unit. Once this model is avalialbe. It will likely overtake any kind of PDA.

 • hey guys do u relly now what is flame it has geforce 3d card & that makes its graphics best in any class of phone & with this it also becoms fater than atom life with slower processor

 • ...slower processor clock than Atom Life, also!

 • I was hoping this will have Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0. Camera with 2MP is not enough. Oops ........... even EDGE in Atom Life is missing in Flame. Screen size is fine..... Anybody knows the price? Definitely not worth for the money..........

 • wow nice big screen...too bad not HSDPA one
