  • Like the phone very much,even I kept a new phone for future use.but there is no update of android version. Therefore many apps not working.please update its android version

  • ive been using this phone since march 2017. the pros and cons: cons 1. not getting android update 2. overheating when used heavily because of the aluminium body 3. sometimes, dark environment in 1080 movies can be noticeably quite ugly (noticeable pixels) pros 1. battery is still perfect, decent usage can get me through all day without charging, charging still fast because it is 20W vooc, i think it is better than nowadays fast charger 2. good camera 3. not lagging even during heavy gaming (bully by rockstar, gravity, real racing 3, the war of mine, and many more) 4. i dont have any strong reason to buy a new phone because it is still perfectly working.

  • changing a battery won't erase data or anything. Just a battery man, it won't corrupt the data unless it was "your" phone internal storage problem. It has nothing to do with the battery, you can change it

  • After 2 years of usage. There are pros & cons. I'll be talking about the cons first. I had detected several problems with the phone. But I'm a root user, and had flashed my phone after 6 month of usage. I didn't encounter any issues for the first year. Cons ‾‾‾‾&­;#8254; 1. After a year, at times it will produce a high pitch x1.25 faster sound. But it can go away if I restart the phone. 2. And the GPS is glitchy. It won't move, sometimes it can't detect my phone's movement. 3. If you hope to use a custom ROM like cyanogen on this phone, don't buy this. The developer didn't and won't make one for this phone. 4. Finger print sensor was not working before. It happened twice. Though I don't have this issue anymore. It goes away when I restarted the phone(1st encounter)It goes away in time. iirc it probably takes a few days to go away.(2nd & last encounter) 5. The screen quality isn't that great. Sometimes when I watch a movie, the colours are very off and ugly. That is my opinion at least. But it is bearable. Sometimes I don't even notices it. Pros ‾‾‾‾&­;#8254; 1. A decent main & secondary camera 2. There's a lot of casing online that you can choose from and buy(I'm currently using SIMON thor metal casing) 3. Finger print is fast & accurate(unless your finger is wet)(& unless it is not working) 4. Fast performance (can play a lot of demanding game)e.g. GTA as 5. Fast charging (it took mine 45mins to fully charged and only needed 30mins for 80% charged) 6. Average battery life. Around 10+ hours of mild usage Without dipping below 20%. Unless Im gaming heavily on this thing then it might take 3-5 hours to drain the battery completely. And it also overheats if you game or heavy use continuesly. I put it at pros because I consider the battery life is good even after 2 years of usage.

  • 6.0 official update is available bro.... i just updated yesterday.... and very easy to update also.... just download a file 6.0 zip and open it from file manager.... Rest all will do it automatically by phone..but please backup before this... it will wipe your data etc too...

  • Oppo. Bad spec with high price. They dont sell quality, they just sell their name. Battery so small that i bet wont last long if u were heavy gamer or youtuber. Chipset is MTK? wtf. mtk is not the best. with this price oppo should use snapdragon. So im suggesting better buy xiaomi redmi 4 prime that 3x chealer than this phone and it has a good spec. Snapdragon 625, 3gb ram, 4100mah battery. Dont waste your money for something bad. pSay no to oppoops.

  • Its fantastic phone. Look is sexy and amoled display is very good. Sound, video quality is good too. Both rear and front camera produce true colors in photos. Yes orange is orange and not red unlike many high end phones.

  • Hi Guys, I recently purchased an oppo f1 plus and got to know of a shocker that the product cannot be upgraded to Android 6.0. When I spoke to the OPPO care, the answer was another rude one saying I should have called the customer care before buying the phone. In addition to this this the call was disconnected. What is the use of paying 25k for a phone which runs on an out dated android version which cant even be upgraded. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE> its impacting the battery life also.

  • Not if you use VOOC charger. There might be if you are using "normal" fast chargers (2A ones or battery banks) as these will heat up the charging circuit. VOOC limits the current after charge hits 80% so overall the impact on battery is very low. Oppo has done an excellent job in optimizing the charge/discharge kinetics of the batteries.

  • am using oppo f1 plus more than one month and its working awesome...soo i need give real review camera is phonermonal not lagging and no slowing (4gb ram) display is very good and in sunlight useful!! app look like apple phone and hardware look like samsung... soo both mix are available... when i playing online games phone gets heat!!! charging is very fast and fingerprint also great.. screen flash not good in dark night... my rateing is 8.5/10 ... before i buy i was sooo confuesd but now am happy abut the phone and price!!!

  • Oppo has confirmed ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 for release in some time in near-ish future.....for R9 and R9 Plus. So presumably F1 Plus will get it too being the same phone as R9.

  • It's a upper mid range phone buddy. Very very stable, simple, elegant software. Still it's lollipop, but in future it will be updated, oppo is slow in update because they want to build a software that's stable and ties up with hardware to perform excellently. This is what iPhone does.

  • You are right, they look identical at first glance. But the moment you touch them, you instantly recognize that vivo v5 has cheap plastic built and oppo f1s has tough and stylish metal design. Design is also a bit different from sides. They may borrow parts from one company, oppo electronics, but they put them very differently. So they are identical from outside but different from inside.

  • I believe both companies under question do not produce any hardware components used in phones. They both may also have common sources from where they procure components to design and build phones. What I was actually referring was the external design, casing & metal frames used in both Oppo F1s and Vivo V5. They look identical, their physical buttons are in identical position even the camera positions are identical.   • they don't share, they have commercial dealing with oppo electronics, and any time in future, they all will be separated. Commercial relationship is not worng because even apple buys some parts from Samsung. Sony sales it's camera sensor. It's all under rules. It all is purely commercial dealing, and if one company wants to have something more, then it can separate and tie-up with another dealer. That is pure business man.

  • With all due respect you will never complain about F1 Plus until you have experienced much better phones like Vivo V3Max. I own both and let me tell you V3Max is miles ahead, be it hardware performance, software optimization or audio quality. Camera quality is same but the good news is Vivo is way cheaper and a true VFM product.

Oppo vivo and Oneplus are pure rivals in smartphone market. They almost hate each other. Great phone for power users with ultra powerful Snapdragon 820 for the same price of F1Plus. Even my much cheaper Vivo V3Max is three times better than F1 Plus.

I don't take selfish, so someone else can comment on that. I found the main Camera has an irritating lag from pressing the button to the pix being taken. Also u can't move data on the device memory to my memory chup, and WhatsApp doesn't close when I'm finished with it. So I have to reboot it to "go offline" in WA. Other than. These things this is one of the best phones I've owned fence 1985!

  • That's actually not true. As I have done with all my smartphones, I have a tempered protective glass applied to the original glass. It is still as responsive as it is without. I have also dropped my phone, accidentally, on its edge and even flat on the display, and the original display has been fine. Only the tempered glass protectivd cover for cracked or chipped after that.

I contacted the store representative, and he told me that it has nothing to do with the phone and I should fix that issue with facebook. I'm really sad and upset buying this phone.

I bought this as i was impressed by the looks and features which which i read over the internet and to see the demo phone oppo f1 s demo phone's camera quality at its first glance but as you take the picture you will notice the huge difference in the detailing n quality of picture. That was the case of oppo f1s which is around Rs16500 and when i asked the distributor to show the top end modle OPPO F1 PLUS the refused to show the demo as it was sealed pack but they assured the camera quality is far better than oppo f1s so bought oppo f1 plus but trust me that was a big mistake the camera quality was of oppo f1s was better than high end model oppo f1 plus which is Rs 24000. Next day i had sell this Oppo f1 plus in the market coz company's service center simply refused to listen me . Here i want to mention that there are so many other things which made me unhappy with this phone like hanging and heating problem . At this the service executive said we don't recommend you to install apps from Google play store. We recommend to install app from oppo app store only . It's shoking to hear that they are selling the product saying an android phone and u shouldn't install apps from Google play store. Wtf . 4gb ram phone hangs up and gets heat after installing apps from Google play store. End of the story don't waste your money. I had to sell this phone after 4 day's of purchase at loss of Rs 8000 i.e. ( Rs 24000- Rs 16000 ).

There might not be any notifications lights blinking when u receieve a notification, u turn on 4G u may not be able to use bluetooth, if u wana search a contact u may not be able to find it, such tiny issues which should have been looked into. But i suggest u buy f1s if u still wana go for oppo. Or if not oppo, just quietly settle down for samsung j7 2016. And change ur phone after 4-6 months. It will give u all u need....

  • Chinese phones are not good at all . After selling oppo f1 plus at a loss of Rs 8000 i went back to Samsung phones and this time i bought Samsung A5 2016 and i m very happy with this phone . Though this is 2gb ram but still it's working great much better than shit oppo and other Chinese phones.   • The camera on this phone is a bit weird in that the image noise seems more exaggerated on the phone's screen than it is when blown up on my computer screen. Quite a few times I've clicked pics that seem to have too much noise when seen on the phone's screen but end up being reasonable when seen on my PC. Of course, this applies mostly to low-light shots. Oppo was originally supposed to be a sub-brand of Vivo but a boardroom disagreement led to the company becoming a separate entity. Vivo is still run "hands-on" by BBK while Oppo operates pretty much independently. OnePlus is owned on-paper by Oppo so all it's strategies and products are on the auspices of Oppo's management....

  • I havnt used one plus 3 , but thats because after the experience of condition of one plus one....just after 6 7 mnths it never appered to be like a flagship phone it degraded at a steep rate, at the same time even after 2 years the Oppo Find 7 performed up to mark despite of rough usage and appeard like a flagship....one plus one was in competion of Find 7 - if u would have used both these phones then u will remember what is Oppo quality, its solid like a lead! You use one plus 3 for a year and F1 plus for a year....then comment after one year which one was long lasting and which one satisfied you.

Its Snapdragon 820 chipset will pulverize, grind and then obliterate the pesky MediaTek chipset of F1 Plus. Believe me as I own this Oppo and it is not even worth half its price. Secondly with OnePlus you will have periodic android version upgrades. With Oppo you will be forever stuck with Lollipop. If you have slightly less budget then gun for Vivo V3Max. I also own this phone too and at INR 20k it is 7k cheaper than the Oppo while being two times better. Lastly Vivo, OnePlus and Oppo belongs to the same company BBK Electronics, hence product quality is same and so is after sales services.

  • Im using oppo f1 plus. The experience is par with iphone. Everything is premium. I would have bought vivo v3 max if not for the high lit ips screen. F1 plus u get the samsung oled display but iphone like looks and OS. Camera is premium eapecially for front cam at low lights. You look good in Skype and other videocall apps Only draw back i saw was that some app tend to disable menu function of the phone. Bit its just a minor bug on the color OS. The app was not compatible to the phone. Definitely worth the price. Im making good memories with the superior quality images.

  • Hi Dears, Oppo F1 Plus is amazing in all aspects. 1) Superb camera except No front flash ;( 2) No hanging 3) Good battery back up and fast charging too Only thing I found is the lack of software options. This phone is not able to mute the USSD notifications (Last call/SMS/Data usage). Notifications will come with an annoying sound that cant be disabled in normal sound profile :( Do anyone experience the same??

  • How do you come to know Vivo V3Max does not have good camera and it does hangs a lot? For the last two months I am using both V3Max and Oppo F1 Plus. I said this many a times in my previous posts. You never said you own a V3Max, so you have no experience on it. Yet you are commenting on V3Max. V3Max comes with Snap 652 chipset with 4 gigs or RAM. It basically OBLITERATES the pesky Oppo F1 Plus with clonky Medatek P10. P10 is made for low performance devices like Meizu M3 Note available at INR 10K. Yet Oppo prices F1 Plus like crazy price of INR 27K. Secondly, Oppo & Vivo are two sides of the same coin. Both are owned my BBK Electronics of China. They share hardware, software etc between them. But I see this year Vivo is less greedy than Oppo and pricing their phones more aggressively. The result is you get a much better phone in V3Max over F1 Plus with equal built quality, parts quality, camera quality, much more powerful CPU, better sound quality all at INR 24K!!! After using both phones I rate V3Max ten times better than F1 Plus. It blows F1 Plus in games, silky smooth Funtouch OS with no hangs, have much better audio quality over headphones with dedicated DAC, louder ringtones and is a much better all rounder. More future proof while costing less that F1 Plus. Stop feeding us end consumers with GARBAGE INFORMATION. We are not all that DUMB.

  • I own the Oppo F1 Plus, it was gifted and it is THE WORST PHONE you can have at INR 27K. If you want to throw away your money buy this phone. Even phones like Vivo V3Max are significantly better in every area be it performance or price. I own both phones for over 2 months and simply put V3Max will blow away the pesky F1Plus in performance and audio quality over headphones. Both phones have identical camera performance and come with the same set of camera features.

  • Stay away from this phone!!! I bought this phone 3months ago, I got one word for it...BAD. Performance is poor despite 4gb. I believe it is due to the processor used. It is not snapdragon ya! What is worse the phone CANNOT run any running apps. I confirmed this with their Oppo service center. They say that this is the phone issue and I was flabbergasted!!. I paid RM1900 for this stupid phone. The phone will terminate all running apps after running for awhile say 5 minutes. I tried on 3 running apps and Oppo failed!. To me the ONLY 1 good point is its selfie camera. Other than that, I am sorry this phone is a total let down. I will never buy any Oppo anymore.

  • I'm afraid that wont be possible. Moving applications on your SD card isn't available on any oppo products especially: apps from google. However, moving pics, vids and apk's on external memory is a yes. I've already consulted this to oppo team and they're still working on it. I'm a gamer myself so since I've limited RAM I need to pick necessary apps/game that will not exhaust my phone memory.If you want to you can download an app that can transfer file(s) to an external memory Nevertheless, its a good gadget specially on heavy apps and games no problem with connections, speed and camera.   • Bought the OPPO F1 PLUS (OF1+) 5 days ago as a replacement to my trusty old SAMSUNG DUOS which had developed some display issues and gotten way too slow for the apps I need to run now. My OF1+ is the "Gold" handset (I wish it had a black option, for me the "gold" is way to dressy and I expect it will show the blemishes much easier than with a darker colour) and has 4GB internal RAM, 64GB Memory with an additional 128GB of external plug-in memory. I like the touch and feel of it, but am always afraid that I may break it. I have put a TEMPERED SCREEN PROTECTOR and am awaiting to get a sturdy case like an OTTER case for it. Because the screen is curved, the screen protectors don't cover the entire display. They only work on the top, flat surface of the display. By the time the display protector industry manufacturers one for the curved displays, I will probably need to replace this one. The display protector already has a crack, probably from where I sat down with the OF1+ in the back pocket of my jeans. In any event, I would much rather replace the protective cover than the display glass itself. So paisa vasool already! The OF1+ feels like a iPhone 6 but bigger and much much faster and has the Android OS. As an old iOS user, I feel like I have the best of both worlds now. I use an app called ROCKET PLAYER to access the music I had on Apple iTunes. And I use BEYONDPOD to keep up with the Apple Podcasts I have gotten used to having with me. Once again the OF1+ performed better than I expected. The selfie camera works well. I wouldn't use it for long distance photographs, though. After all "selfie" Pix typically are pic taken within 2 metres of one's self and this does really well. I like the primary camera, but find it's a bit show in the autofocus department. There is a lag between "clicking" and taking the picture and when the camera actually takes it. As my object was moving, I will play with the camera options and report back, unless someone else does it first. I also have WHATSAPP installed (like most people on this planet!). Here I have encountered an issue. I'm not certain whether it is an OF1+ or a WhatsApp issue. When I exit and close down WhatsApp, the app disappears, like it's supposed to. But when I (swipe down) check the running processes' statuses, all my other apps that I exited and closed down remain closed. All except WhatsApp. What's worse is that it still shows me "online" in the WhatsApp status line, when I'm clearly not. Another niggle, is that there is no reboot function, like the other Android phones in this price range. One needs to power down by pushing the power button and sliding the "power down" option. And then power up the phone (hard boot). This is a nuisance particarly as I have needed to do that numerous times a day, after checking my WhatsApp messages to be completely out of it, for my appointments, meetings and simply getting my work done. This is it for now and more observations to come later. I need to get back to getting my "paid work" done. TC from the Hill!

  • I have Oppo F1 Plus (bought it when I was in the Philippines back in April). My experience is great so far, the signal is strong, wifi is very stable, regular call, video and picture quality is amazing. Color OS is probably not for everyone but I like the stock version of android no bloatware. Battery is fine since I don't play games using my CP. Finger print sensor is very fast. I will give it 4-1/2 stars.

After using both the devices over a month I find V3Max offers me (over F1 Plus): 1) Better display quality 2) Way superior overall performance aka Snapdragon 652 chipset 3) Equivalent main camera quality, both being 13 MP units 4) Way superior audio quality over headphones with dedicated AKM AK4375 DAC chip 5) Awesome in-built speaker clarity and loudness 6) Marginally better battery backup 7) Significantly cheaper by INR 3K over F1 Plus Their is no way on EARTH I can recommend this Oppo F1 Plus over V3Max. Also I may add both have equivalent built quality & call quality as both the brands belong to BBK Electronics of China. You may well say, Oppo is charging this additional INR 3K over Vivo to provide an additional year of warranty and in providing a 16 MP selfie camera which in no way contribute in taking better quality selfies. All it does is create bigger pictures NOT better pictures. In the end Vivo V3Max gets my vote as the winner of the two by a huge margin!!!

  • I own both smartphones. I will choose the Vivo V3Max over Oppo F1 Plus any day. The reasons are as below: 1) Both have 5.5 inch 1080p displays. That said V3Max have better display than F1 Plus with much better brightness and color accuracy. 2) Both Vivo & Oppo are owned by BBK Electronics of China. So both have equivalent built quality. Personally I like the chamfered edges of V3Max which provides better grip than the rounded F1 Plus. 3) V3Max in terms performance shows a clean pair of heals to F1Plus. Its newer Snapdragon 652 chipset is way superior to the pesky and low quality MediaTek P10 of F1 Plus. In terms of usability I find the Funtouch OS of Vivo better suited to my taste than that of Oppo. But this can vary from person to person. As such V3Max came out on top in terms of refined OS over a powerful chipset and will no doubt provide a better experience over F1 Plus. 4) Both have 13 MP main shooter. They produce near equal quality pictures. No winners here. In selfie department all are more or less the same, takes good pictures only during daylight. 5) In terms of audio quality over headphones it is a no brainier, V3Max is ahead by a country mile. Its has a dedicated audio chip, AKM AK4375 DAC for way superior sound quality. F1Plus audio quality over headphones are poor. 6) When it comes to sound quality over inbuilt speakers the V3Max really impressed me. It is phenomenally two times better than F1Plus in terms of quality and sheer loudness. Ringtones can be heard far fetched and even in busy noisy streets. 7) V3Max has the best battery life. With biggest battery in hand it excels in all areas over F1 Plus. That said F1 Plus have enough juice to take you through one full day of normal use. 8) Call quality is excellent in both the devices over 4G & 3G, no complains here. 9) Both have expandable memory support, we can use microSD card upto 128 gigs. F1 Plus & V3Max have 64 GB, 32GB internal storage. F1 Plus have upper hand here. 10) Fingerprint scanners of both V3max & F1Plus are blazingly fast. 11) Both F1 Plus & V3Max have super fast battery charging tech, so they can tank up from 0 to 100% in just an hour and a half. 12) The V3Max & F1Plus supplied headphones are of low quality units and should be avoided at all cost. CONCLUSION: If you want the best all rounder and better VFM among these two, V3Max at INR 24K comes out in top. F1 Plus is a farce at its sky high price of INR 27K and comes with the cheapest hardware to boot. It was gifted to me or else I would have lamented my whole life.

This phone at INR 27K uses the least expensive, low grade and pesky MediaTek P10 chipset. P10 is designed to be used for budget phones at around INR 10K. An example is Meizu M3 Note available at INR 10K. After using my friends M3 Note and comparing with my F1 Plus, I will give my vote to M3 Note. The F1 Plus was gifted to me, else I would have regretted my whole life.

  • I've got the F1 and I'm going to go for the F1 plus... Best phone I've used to date is the F1 after it's latest update it is phenomenal. I have a Nexus 6 (work phone), Xperia Z5 Compact (on contract), and the F1 that I bought half a year ago as a spare phone when I was between jobs..... The Oppo F1 is by far my favourite, in build quality, usability with Color OS.... and performance when considering the dollar value. In the latest update, they really made phenomenal leaps in performance for both the OS and the camera. It's now truly a camera focused smart phone. The F1 Plus can only get better in my opinion.

  • Do not buy oppo f1 plus. I had previously made up my mind to buy... but after reading the review and user opinions i went for vivo v3 max. Good thing is my known dealer sells both vivo and oppo... so i had no problem. I was later comparing with my cousins f1 plus.. and my phone in better in everything. v3max is also very good looking phone just like f1plus and the camera quality is as good as f1plus... this is important to me as i take a lot of pictures. It costs less than oppo which is good. Regarding samsung, I never good experience with their phones but i love apple iphones which are great.

I have not used the Vivo V3Max but from specs I find it is marginally heavier by 23 grams. At 168 grams the V3Max is not what you can call a heavy phone. I believe the increase in weight is due to a bigger battery of 3000 mAh as opposed to 2850 mAh of F1 Plus. You should definitely get more talk-time and web browsing time in V3Max in a single charge. Both comes with 13MP primary shooter, but the V3Max have a better optics of f/2.0 while F1 Plus have a cheaper and smaller lens at f/2.2. I find the camera quality of my F1 Plus to be subpar for a INR 27K flagship phone. At this price Oppo did not even bother to provide necessary features like NFC and IR blaster. Cost cutting are evident everywhere. And the included cheap and weak MediaTek P10 processor of F1 Plus is a joke for a flagship device. Now I can understand Oppo actually made a "Lite" version of their international R9 Plus and it is named F1 Plus in India. At least the Vivo mid-end devices like V3Max uses the same powerful processor of R9 Plus, the Snapdragon 652. Spec-wise the V3Max wins hands down, and the best part of the deal it is significantly cheaper at INR 24K. Provided both brands are owned by BBK Electronics along with OnePlus, you will get near identical built quality in both. So the V3Max is more aggressively priced in India, but I have not used it so I cannot comment which one is better. Read GSMArena reviews and will get a better picture. That said I have used lot of Vivo flagships, as I am an audio lover and their flagships like X5Max and X5Pro are audio centric devices. I met Oppo first time with my F1 Plus and the experience have been regrettable. I personally feel Vivo is more innovative and better brand of the two, but others may think different. Vivo is also more upmarket as right now my eye is on their flagship Vivo Xplay5 Elite which sells over INR 78K in Ebay India!!!!!!!!!!!

The major difference between Oppo F1 plus and vivo v3 max is Oppo F1 plus has got less weight with only 134 grams. Superb camera is it’s another quality.   • Good to know man. Btw did you do the latest update. I got an update 2 days ago and it solved many problems like improved network connectivity and solved the notification issues. And another thing is if you go into security manager and then autostart permission and enable autostart of the apps that you want notification from, i think your problems will be solved.

  • As it seems your not a power user. So the Oppo F1 Plus will be enough for your daily needs. Your are motivated by its internal memory size rather than a powerful processor which proves my point. But then again it does not change my view as I believe this phone is way overpriced for what it's worth. Secondly the Vivo X5Max is a benchmark product for audiophiles. It is still the thinnest phone in the world with even higher built quality than my Oppo F1 Plus. It has a display to die for. And it is still one of the best phones you can buy if audio quality over audiophile earphones is your primary concern. At least it has some traits of a flagship device.

  • With due respect you are again comparing different aspects of this phone with different aspects of different other phones. You should be comparing the whole thing as a package. There is no thing like a perfect phone. I have used xiaomi mi5. it has a smaller inferior display, worse battery life, very bad ram management and a marginaly better camera. Yes it has a theoriticaly way more powerful cpu but please do compare these two side by side and unless you are a gamer there is absolutely no benefit of that cpu. Try opening up different apps in the xiaomi and then multitask and you would see what i am getting at. Finally it all comes down to personal preference. I used to be spec enthusiast but when i used the redmi note 3, i became very irritated with the app loading hiccups and closing down of apps in the background, then i came across this oppo and saw that with better optimisation even inferior hardware can give you a smoother experience. You are comparing the display to another phone, every aspect of which is inferior to this phone. I havent used that phone so cant really comment. Try benchmarking the 64gb built in memory of f1 plus. It's ways faster at 148mbs read and WRITE speed compared to its counterparts. That is one of the things that make it smoother. You have to factor in everything while buying a phone including after sales support. Where i live aftersales support for all the brands that you mentioned is nonexistant. yes if you are a gamer this phone is not for you. But considering the overall package only the v3 max is better than f1 plus specwise, which is not available where i live so it wasnt an option for me. the way i see it you are very motivated by the specsheet, while i judge the overall experience, so i think we will have to agree to disagree over here. Supposedly better specs wont always give you a better experience (just think of what a disaster OP2 was). And the error rate of redmi note 3 finger print reader was high enough for me to turn it off. For me a good display, mediocre camera, good battery, very good day to day experience is a winning combination. And you bashing the camera has got me a bit confused. lg g4, samsung s6 and above are the only phones which have a notably better camera. but that league is completely different. Try googling lg g4 sudden death and you'll see why any one shouldn't go down that route. And the front camera in f1 plus is definitely better that any other front camera. i dont know what you were expecting but a front camera can never perform better than the main one. It will always be average at best due to limitation of sensor size. Finaly it all comes down to personal preference and and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Cheers mate.

  • These are my honest views after using Oppo F1 Plus for almost two months: 1) The F1 Plus as you pointed out has a Super AMOLED display which is good. But I found it seriously lacks in overall brightness aspect. As I have used quite a few Oppo & Vivo phones in the past, I have generally seen both brands end up using Samsung Super AMOLED displays as both are owned by BBK Electronics of China. That said the best Super AMOLED display I have come across is on the Vivo X5Max. I own this phone (due to stellar audio quality over headphones) and it not only have better color reproduction but accuracy & vividness are way better than my Oppo F1 Plus. Also X5Max has way superior brightness at 432 nits where as F1 Plus coughs up just 351 nits which proves my point. The legibility under direct sunlight is way better in X5Max. F1 Plus display reminds me of last year Samsung A7 display with the same yellowish tinge and brightness levels as my mom uses this phone. While all these three phones ends up using 5.5 inch 1080p Samsung AMOLED displays with the same "diamond pentile matrix", I found A7 & F1 Plus suspiciously have more or less equal display characteristics while and in having near identical brightness of 349 vs 351 nits. I believe F1 Plus in having last year Samsung A7 display, which is just passable for an AMOLED display quality. 2) Regarding the fingerprint scanner, I have found my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 & Oppo F1 Plus to be equally fast, I cannot detect any microsecond advantage here. So it is 50/50 here. 3) Oppo F1 Plus has the cheapest and worst processor you can ever find in any flagship device. Period. Seriously a pesky MediaTek P10 chipset on a INR 27K flagship device? I laughed for the first five minutes after looking at its specs and also the AnTuTu benchmark. Meizu will give you an identical performance with the same processor with their M3 Note at just INR 10K!!! And seriously my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with its Snapdragon 650 chipset basically stampedes my F1 Plus in gaming and overall performance. And it costs just INR 12K!!! Even Vivo with their mid-end models like V3Max provides an ultra fast processor, namely Snapdragon 652 and is still cheaper at INR 24K!!! 4) Oppo F1 Plus is not for power users. Period. In games it smokes around my year old LeEco Le 1s (INR 11K ) which comes with a beefy Mediatek Helios X10 chipset and awesome built quality. I am not even considering better phones in the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 or Vivo V3Max. 5) The performance of F1 Plus cameras (both front and rear) is unreasonably low for its sky high price in India. I expected a lot from my Oppo flagship, as they are known for their camera performance but was bitterly disappointing in this respect. If it was priced at around INR 14K I would have said this is an excellent phone for its price, but this is not the case here. 6) There are many good looking phones available now-a-days. If you want a solid all metal build 5.5 inch 1080p display smartphone with 2.5 D glass you can get it at INR 10K with Meizu M3 Note in India. You do not have to poke INR 27K for a Oppo F1 Plus just for this reason. And yeah both comes with the same processor to boot. 7) The Oppo F1 Plus charges very fast with its VOCC charging tech. This is the only positive I found in this phone. Though the battery is quite small at 2850 mAh for a 5.5 inch device, the weak Mediatek P10 processor sips down the charge quite slowly and the battery backup last for a day. 8) If you say the Xiaomi Mi 5 with the mighty Snapdragon 820 chipset and latest Android Marshmallow OS is a joke, it only proves you have not used it. Contrary to your belief I think Xiaomi have pulled the biggest joke on Oppo by pricing their flagship with way potent hardware and software at a lower price than Oppo F1 Plus!!! 9) I love music and the F1 Plus has the lowest quality audio output I have ever experienced in any smartphone. Period. Low is volume, worse stereo separation.. it seems Oppo has given no importance to audio lovers in their flagship phone. 9) Lastly, I won't recommend the Oppo F1 Plus to anyone. Honestly I have used a lot of smartphones, and this Oppo f1 Plus is a joke for its asking price. Weak processor, low quality display, custom OS still based on age old Android Lollipop, sub standard cameras and the list goes on..... If you are a power user steer clear from this Oppo and gun for cheaper while way powerful units like Xiaomi Mi5 or even a Vivo V3Max. They have very good built quality. If you are just a casual user and looks are of primary importance then a Meizu M3 Note at one third the price of the Oppo F1 Plus will suffice your needs. :)

  • I have been using this phone for one month. this is a good phone. The phone is very Snappy. The back camera is reasonably good in this price range. And front camera is good too. Thing is you can't possibly compare this phone with a higher priced Samsung Galaxy phone. You can't possibly get a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge for the same price. Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge would be the better phone hands down. So people should compare this phone with phones in similar price range. Let me tell you the points that justify the price of this phone. First comes the AMOLED display the AMOLED display is undoubtedly better, more contrasty, bright and vibrant looking compared to similar phones. Then comes the fingerprint reader which is blazing fast and accurate at the same time and you can always search YouTube to find that this statement is true. Then comes the form factor, the phone looks stunning and well-built the front 2.5 D glass looks good too. I was using a redmi note 3 before this and despite the theoriticaly weaker processor this phone is ways faster in app loading and ram management compared to that. If there is one place that this phone out performs Samsung s6, its the battery life. Samsung s6 has one of the shittiest battery life ever and you can easily spend one day with this phone with more than enough charge remaining. I am a heavy user and I can easily get 6 hours screen on time. You can charge the full battery within one hour which is absolutely brilliant. Please don't compare this to a higher priced Samsung Galaxy phone. Every phone has its pros and cons, for example the RAM management in the xiaomi MI5 is a joke, apps gets closed within five minutes of opening, where as you can multitask with great ease in this phone. And please don't be that guy who gets fooled by specifications. Take the phone in your hand, use it for some time and then you can get the real taste of the phone. I currently have a xiaomi redmi Note 3 an Asus Zenfone selfie and then the f1 plus and to be honest I prefer the f1 Plus. One thing I cant tell anything about is the gaming performance because I don't game on my phone. And the front camera in my opinion is good if not great I'd like the people who are bashing this phone, to recommend a phone with a better front camera if they may. Hope this helps people who are researching this phone.

  • That was not a joke, mate. :) My friend owns a year old Samsung S6 Edge. When compared to the Samsung, my Oppo F1 Plus turned out to be a joke, mate. :"( Hence I have gifted it to my teen sister.

  • With all those huge 16MP sized low quality and washed out images coming out of my Oppo F1 Plus selfie camera, I overlooked the different modes that came with it. I had a look at the panorama mode now and the story remains the same. Low quality and washed out panorama images that are of no good use. The F1 Plus was gifted to me or else it would have been a complete waste of money at INR 27K. Also this Oppo flagship device ships with the cheapest MediaTek chipset, the P10. While playing Asphalt 8, it continuously dropped frames and got heated up. My INR 10K, LeEco Le 1s Eco with MediaTek X10 had two times better performance than F1 Plus in gaming. Personally I will rate the Le 1s to be a better phone than F1 Plus.
