Oppo R5 - User Reviews

  • First phone that removed the 3.5 mm headphone jack

  • I'm surprised there has never been a thinner phone on the market for over 5 years!

  • Here let me help you there are 4 steps 1st go to your settings then apps after find google play press force stop and clean cache here's the 2nd step check your wifi connection here's the 3rd step just restart your device (this doesn't delete data) and the last 4th step close the app and open it again you can use any of those method like method 1234

  • Is this supposed to be a joke? Definitely doesn't feel like it's 4.9mm thick.

  • I used to own this phone, while it may be true that it is laggy at times, i find it extremely durable . So if u dont mind lag for durability , definitely a recommend

  • im oppo r5 user and im not satisfy with it. cause its always broken. i don't know how to fixed it. all the thing inside not functioning. notification always pop out "unfortunately, google play store has stopped" help me. how to settle?

  • Well , as one of those who owns an oppo r5 , i strongly advise you guys not to buy it . This is my reasons: 1. Oppo itself has stop publishing new version of system of oppo r5. Now it is still android 4.4.4. (Even android 8.0 oreo has been published, Dafuq.) 2.Oppo r5 has a poor performance on multi tasking . Example: When i am opening whatsapp , and then i got a notification from facebook. So, i switch to facebook. But then , when i come back to whatsapp in just about 30 seconds , the whole application was killed by oppo. (what the heck too. Imagine when you playing moba games such as veinglory and a phone call came) 3.Oppo r5 is kinda lag when activating the keyboards . When you are tying to type message , you need to wait about 30 second for the keyboards to be activated. 4.It has a very very tiny volume of battery . For me , when playing moba games such as veinglory , mobile legend , the battery runs out at about 3 or 4 matches. 5.It is using a headphone jack , which means , if you lost it , you can't use headphone anymore. Last time , my headphone jack had malfunctioned , i went through all shops , even oppo China shops doesn't sell it. But , at last i finally got my new headphone jack from TaoBao . Disclamier: I am just giving opinion base on my experiences , and not hereby to critise Oppo or any of it's product .

  • I have one dead unit now according to oppo need to replace motherboard, but its only corrupted, 6K is the cost of replacement. No software avilable. Please help.

  • my oppo R5 is not working .. i think the battery is drained and now its not charging.. what will i do? thanks

  • this phone is gr8 , where can i get 1

  • R5 is a good phone to have. good performance but sometime got a bit laggy but you just need to kills other running apps and it working just fine .solid body but not solid button. I drop it on an edge and dented the volume button but still can use perfectly until I restart the phone. it always goes to colorOS recovery mode. I don't know whether the damage is related to my problem but i send the phone to repair already. hopefully they can fix it. anyway, I recommend to buy this phone.

  • Well the phone is great actually, stop blaming the brand for your carelessness. You dropped your phone twice, its your fault. They're selling phones, not IQ's :)

  • im very upset when oppo has abandon this model, no software updated, no fix updated.... at lease this phone are one of ur best phone yet!!!!!

  • very beautiful slim mobile set

  • awesome phone. m using dis phone from last 1 year. never face any problem with it... even never hang in 1 year.. perfect phone.

  • Hi oppo! i been using this phone for almost 1 year now, im sharing my prob. since oppo r5 is already wAsh out. when i have this phone @6 months i drop it twice then its always blinking with yellow and black lines, i went to oppo service and they fix it but still having lines and blink since oppo service is too far to my place i nver go back then , now its almost 1yr to me and totaly shut down! all i can say is this is not good brand to buy

  • Yeah, it comes with it's own adapter, it is Micro USB to 3.5mm Headphone Jack connector.

  • 100% iPhone 5S bro, refurbished is nice too

  • Where the hell is the headphones/earphones socket how can I use my headphones

  • Loll. Who told you gorilla glass 3 uncrackable?

  • Oppo R5, Iphone 5s or Huawei P8 lite?

  • This phone is absolutely cool in looking but the problem is too expensive for a fast heating phone.

  • ive been using my r5 after 5 months it shut off and never on, and it is very hot, sent it to service center they just reformatef with out asking to back up, and here again after 7 months its shut off again, seems that i am wasting money for this phone

  • is wwe immortals game working on it and how is the camera result?

  • and i just drop it from my pockets, that boasted Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is just cracked like the other cheap glass.

  • updatable right?

  • Super phone. .one of the best phone in the world am using from 1 year no problem nothing

  • i have been using it nearly 7 months, purposely drop it a meter high.hit it hardly on any hard surface , hit it on nails as shown on you tube.and still going strong.

  • i have been using it nearly 7 months, purposely drop it a meter high.hit it hardly on any hard surface , hit it on nails as shown on you tube.and still going strong.

  • R5 is an awesome device. I'm using it since 6 months and it's very difficult for me to switch to another device.

  • R5 is an awesome device. I'm using it since 6 months and it's very difficult for me to switch to another device.

  • i've been using r5 about 7 months, had fallen many times but nothing happened, only the batteries run out quickly..

  • Very nice phone and has a perfecr camera. 100% good performance Oppo R5.

  • I bought this product last march, niow the price go down 50 percent, and the product it self not a good one. Once I couldn't open the hand phone and all the screen was blank. I went to the official oppo service center, they give the new software, but I still lost all data. After used only 2 weeks then the machine shut down and again I lost all data. I went to official oppo service center, and I have to wait 3 or 4 days and they said that the machine was totally damage and they change with new machine and extend my guaranty for next one year. After i used only couple weeks now the handphone can not be recharged and all shut down. Hopefully I do not loss the data for the three times. I regret to buy this product, it is not a good product, i used only 6 months but i loss the data 3 times, andR5 is not good as i think, my suggest : never buy this product, I am very disappointed.......

  • Seriously?no mcard slot for extra memory?non-removable battery?battery endurance even horrible.just for the sake of thin body

  • What about updates of lollipop

  • Please contaact nearest service centre he should definately resolved your problem as soon as possible

  • absoutely. it can also be use to shave your beard.

  • how much battery timing of this phone on 3g...?

  • i heard that oppo r5 is hard to crack or damage it can't break when u pat a nail like a hammer and u can cut watermelon with it , is that true?

  • So i compared between Oppo R5 and R5, can anyone tell me why R5s price is far more cheaper than R5. But it looks like R5s is much better (?) i look the price in gsmarena too

  • Erm, its processor is based on the big.LITTLE architecture, which is 1x low power and 1x high power.

  • Do you know Mathematics? 2 quads are equivalent to octa. Read carefully the specs before you comment. I am not a user of r5 but I knew its specs and also its weak points. If you are a gamer, do not choose r5 bcos low battery lvl, but if you want to have an elegant looks phone, you can have R5.

  • It is two quad core, so same as octa. Lol

  • im an oppo user now, Oppo R5 is the really awesome.

  • im using r5 its really awesome

  • Don't waste too much time reading on negative comments, some of it are just like a dust...they don't really know what is going on in smartphone market...It's simple, you want oppo then get it...

  • oppo has customized android alot from its core and added many useful shortcuts and it is designed to provide ease to the user. one of the smartest smoothest customized android

  • Color OS wasn't Operating System, but launcher

  • do you have any evidence about oppo say they manage to creater their own os ?

  • All china product are lie by itself,, most of oppo's specs. Are lie... oppo said they used their own OPERATING SYSTEM color os but based on android? Hahaha,, funny they think they like iphone with own os.. stop saying lie words to sell your product.

  • awesome phone im using gud

  • Is this lte compatible phone?? And who tried to use memory card on second sim slot, pls. Have some feedback

  • Just own an oppo r5. So far I found that the phone is awesome, but the battery n memory slot is really a big problem. I think this phone is suitable for moderate to average phone user only.

  • screen resolution is awesome!!!but the battery life are the weakness of this model..overall is good~

  • hi men r5 cannot be smashed its the toughest see its video in youtube

  • hi men r5 cannot be smashed its the toughest see its video in youtube

  • Use bluetooth headset

  • its not cool men cause the cpu is only quadcore and not octa core its very very not cool and the battery life is only 2000MAH huh and no card slot if you plan to buy buy the zenfone 2 cause its octa core and so big ram then so powerful... or nokia lumia the camera has a 41Mp ... see the specs before you buy men!

  • Yes it has!

  • This phone is almost PERFECT, 1 thing that makes it not perfect, it has no card slot :(

  • guys pls tell me, whats the free internal memory for user.. cuz i planned to buy this phone

  • WIFI direct not work what can I do

  • Wifi notttt work what can I do

  • Wifi direct not work what can I make

  • I'm looking at this phone as a cheaper alternative to the Samsung 6 Edge....the guy in the shop said one the sim slots could take an SD storage card instead of a second sim....that contradicts what I'm reading above?.....He also said the are plenty of Oppo agents in Vietnam and Thailand, worldwide in fact?

  • we use a earphone converter which is in the phone package

  • I am very satisfied with the battery performance. With all the apps on, my battery last for more than 24H and charging time is only 30-40 mins. A big difference with my old smartphones.

  • It has an adapter attached to where the charger port is.

  • Hey if there is no jack then how I can hear songs in earphone

  • Elife5 used a madiatake processor its not better than oppo's r5 Qualkom snapdragon

  • Hey guys... I own oppo r5. Its a wonderful phone. But battery could be more powerfull. Overall its a nice phone.

  • oppo r5 is really world slimest and strong mobile i like and love that oppo r5 is 1000 times better than gionee s5 than price also r5:24,990/-its good pruce

  • The phone has some sensor issues only because of the absence of gyro. Battery back up is good enough but not comparable with the other smart phones of this budget. The best thing about this phone is, it has premium look and too much thin that it can be smashed easily! If you want a phone with premium look and smart handling, it could be a great choice

  • Yes it has special Cooling technology and ive never had the phone get uncomfortably hot.

  • Can oppo R5 is NFC

  • The phone is too thin.

  • guys does this mobile have autocool feature when heated? shopkeeper says so!

  • Is the camera good.I want to buy it or should I go for honor 4x

  • why no radio and 3.5 mm. jack

  • this phone is really awesome. i love oppo r5 :)

  • soon this someone will be mine,,,,.....

  • Well as we can see Gionee Elife S5.1 is the world's slimmest smartphone according to guiness. Try to visit guiness webpage. Gionee elife s5.1 meet the high standard and qualifications of guiness vs. Vivo and oppo. In performance Oppo r5: 1.5ghz quad core + 1.0ghz quad core. Gionee elife s5.1/s5.5: true-octacore 1.7ghz speed each cpu of octacore. So don't be fool

  • I love oppo R5

  • No. Maybe it will last 2 days on standby, but not if you use it much. I have had to charge it at least twice per day.

  • The phone has a lot of nice features, but the killer for me is the awful battery life. They brag about the thin profile and the fast charging time, but that also means the battery in small and charging capacity is limited. I've had the phone less than 24 hours and only used it moderately. But it gets uncomfortably hot when I use it for more than 5 minutes and I've had to recharge it twice! I am trying to return it today because this battery problem makes it almost unusable. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing this model.

  • Updating o.s. version and vooc powerbank resolved this battery drain issue, and im truly satisfied with r5.

  • is it a dual sim???

  • hardware is good, camera is good look is good bettri is not good

  • No its not so theres no FECK

  • Are the specs right? does this really work on bands 1/3/4/17 ?? i checked their official specs and it states only 1/4/7

  • How many sim? I found somebody selling Oppo R5 with 2 sim in it, Is it original or feck?

  • How long should I make charging to reach absolutly charged?I think battery drain fast.

  • What happened to the Gionee ELIFE S5.1 that has a record of Guinness as The Slimmest Smartphone if the Oppo R5 is the slimmest??hmmmmm...

  • Find 7a and r5?which one is the best? In terms of battery life n camera

  • battery drain fast and when opening application continuously like COC or other apps only in 1hour, the phone get higher temperature that why i decided to return this unit asap. It is not enough to satisfy your 22,000 pesos. Thank you.

  • i want 2 knw abt its battery... can any1 say me fr hw mny hours it wil work... plzzzz any1 reply soon...m abt 2 buy it...

  • So now u got gesture panel? I just updated and can't use it too.

  • fall in love with oppo laa..hehe

  • Not slim enough. I compared this phone with my sisters huawei ascend p7 which is 6.5mm, but you cant even see the difference with your eyes. though the oppo feels better cause of the metal. Its a good phone for only 399 euros, but now i see the ZTE Nubia Z9mini is released and i think that would be a better choice.

  • ithank this is very good

  • i love this phone.....

  • is there anyone here using this oppo r5?? do this phone lasts for atleast 2 days? thanks

  • I had the same problem when i got my device, but then I updated the version of coloros to version 2.0.1 "settings -> about -> update". If it still doesn't work, go to "settings -> motion and gestures" and set the options to green. I hope I could help you.

  • how many sim?

  • Is it already possible upgrading to android 5.0? Can someone explain how? Thanks in advance.

  • My Oppo r5 doesn't include gesture panel. Is that normal? Or Am I alone having this problem? Swipe up from bottom, no gesture panel. Does anyone who use R5 has the same problem like mine?

  • go for lg g3 or huawei adcend mate7 gold edition

  • Great phone would definitely buy, at the moment it is the slimmest phone in the world!! So it has that going for it. Obviously because of this it has micro-usb to headphone jack and micro-usb to usb and a usb power brick. This is because even a small headphone jack can't fit into it it's so slim!! Personally, I would rate it 9/10! (I'm taking away that 1/10 because it doesn't have great battery:) )

  • Hi there any one can suggest me a good cell phone i am using iphone 4 from 2 years now i want to buy android with good camera and with sd card supporting any one help

  • Biggest prblem is bettry backup...it is very poor...

  • great phone!!!! i love it.....

  • i guess it isnt normal. since my oppo r5 can be switched on even right after plugged for charging.

  • according to the pictures provided, i guess there's a microusb - 3.5mm jack adapter which is cool! new concept.

  • This is a great phone

  • there is no question of argument dear. just cool down. btw i change phones quite frequently. so i don't think this one will stay with me as long as 6 months.

  • No 3.5mm jack ??

  • Errrrr....dude. Maybe you should bring your phone to the mobile hospital(Service Centre). Its not normal to your phone.

  • Dude. He asking about N1 mini and A5. Not Find7a and A5.

  • I give you a easy way to choose a suitable phone for yourself. If you like taking picture or selfie-Oppo N1 mini more nice. Or you want to save files(video/pic/app)-galaxy A5 better. Reason@ N1 mini can't put SD card but its camera is best. If you don't mind to bring a OTG USB on you side

  • Well. You believe the spec. Just like me before. I won't argue with you. Give yourself 6 month for this phone. But saying truly I got many customers feedback about battery and charging pin. I don't know yours got it or not. Or maybe you just wanna argue with me. I don't mind if you dare.

  • i am already using it dear & enjoying it. for a change it surely is a piece of technology. i am not into selling phones like u but sure am a hard core user of all major platforms like BBOS, IOS, Windows & Ofcourse Android. Found this phone great & surely a design change from samsung, sony htc & other brands. Thats why i said try it to believe it. for those who are facing battery issues may be unfortunate to receive a faulty device. Please go for a replacement or OS update. my r5 is not having such issues.

  • Hi, Oppo is the best phone. Believe me. I'm already using Oppo find 7a. Super performance,CPU, 13 MP Camera, Front 5MP and 4K Resulution,etc.....

  • Hi, I'm considering oppo n1 mini with samsung a5. Which phone is better in terms of battery life, CPU, processor, ram, camera, basic features to view files?

  • Hi .i read that you work from mobile industry . Can i ask question. Is it normal that a drained phone ( or even not ) is hard to open . Because my oppe r5 takes 2hrs charging before i can open it . Thanks . Hoping foryour response

  • I bought oppo r5 . February 14 as a gift to myself . But had to return it Feb 21 because its not charging . They said because indrain the battery they took it and put it under observation for 4 days and return to me . After a week oppo r5 doesnt open again . It has 15%battery last night and i decided toturn it off so it doesnt run out of battery , but it didnt openthe next day .. i had to charge it 2hrs before it opens again . . So far other features is good .. im giving this phone a 3star . ONE QUESTION PLS . CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF IT IS NORMAL THAT YOU NEED TO CHARGED IT 2HRS BEFORE IT CAN OPEN . . BECAUSE IT IS THE FIRST TIME I ENCOUNTER THIS KIND OF PROBLEM . THANKS .

  • Even X5max have 3.5mm jack.How could this don't have? ==

  • Dude.I working on phone industry and selling phone. If you wanna play music. You better try Vivo or HTC.I admit tha. camera is nice but battery life...mmm...charging fast@drying fast. I used N1 mini and Find7a before and I know it.So you did't use the real one and you want to show your spec knowledge? You better save it bro.

  • buy & use it before critisizing it. the phone is simply amazing & solid tough with a zappy UI without a lag of fraction of a second. + colour OS uses a lot of user customibale options which are available only to rooted phones. Camera is a real snapper with crystal clear images & wonderful facility of snap first & focus later. music app is good. 1.7 ghz QC processor handles all games amazingly without lag & crashing + clear graphics on super amoled screen. Battery charging is SUPER FAST with 45 mins full charge. Speaker is loud & clear & the form factor of the phone is itself amazing with slim sturdy bezel & cornig gorilla glass with factory fitted screen guard. this phone is surely a trend setter & needs to be tried to believe it.

  • Use this phone as a knife?? Better I buy a real one. Besides_a smartphone without 3.5mm jack cannot count it a smartphone. Is a laughing stock.

  • Well say. Give you a like@

  • Too slim to fit these common features. The accessories will need to adapt in the future.

  • vivo x5 max is slim then this phone but vivo is having headphone jack

  • The phone was showed to me by a salesperson and he said that because of it's slim design, it can't support a 3.5mm jack.

  • The 3.5 jack is the most common feature of a phone. Even a 10$ phone has one today. How come r5 doesnt? And its so overpriced.

  • No 3.5mm jack? Next...

  • no card slot? 2gb ram? no 3.5mm jack? no radio? are you kidding me?

  • no card slot? 2gb ram? no 3.5mm jack? no radio? are you kidding me?

  • too expensive....

  • Is there a chance to expand the internal storage? Or is a new version of oppo R5 coming out with 32GB or more?

  • Long way to use

  • 2000mah battery,1.7ghz octa,no micro sd slot, no 3.5mm jack, no radio, no ois camera, only 16gb rom 2g ram...overpriced.

  • No 3.5mm jack or card slot. Even the battery is only 2000mAh for a 5.2inch screen. Still the price is too high compared to other Chinese phones. Oppo should remember, they are not Samsung, Sony, HTC or Apple yet....

  • all iphones arer made in china

  • No 3.5mm audio jack ots bcoz its so slim..but it has a 3.5mm jack by connecting micro usb adaptor into its charger port then attached ur usual 3.5mm headphones and presto u can enjoy music hahahaha

  • please read it more carefully, octacore usually contain 2 different quadcore processor

  • When Can this phone be available in the Indian Market

  • I am already having a phobia of the r5 cutting me into slices.

  • R5 processor is Octa-core not Quad-core.

  • I like the phone but there is no expandable memory. One can compromise for 2 GB Ram but cant compromise expandable memory. Considering the 13 MP Camera.

  • Agree nice one

  • i purchase r5 this phone is awesome mmmmmmaaa i like ittt

  • World's slimmest phone? Haaaaaaa............ Do I have to shave with the phone ?

  • Cool phone, only bad thing is capacity of battery

  • haha, everything is made from china, even MYPHONE, TORQUE, CHERRY MOBILE and Other local phone brands here in the Philippines, OPPO is made(Manufactured) in China and the parts and processors came from California, USA.. everything is made in China because of low labor cost..

  • 4g also supported

  • this phone is much better than other phone!

  • all your thing, clothing and product made in china..see..this is also china product.. hahahahaha..

  • no 4G ???

  • Oppo R5 and Find 7 have one of the best ever mobile camera. Very ultra clarity than other 13 MP cameras

  • R5 is world slimmest phone and awesome feature in this phone ultimate....

  • R5 is world slimmest and and awesome phone superb future in this phone...

  • Then your stup*d. Most Chinese products are FAR better than Western products.

  • i don't believe china product

  • Hey this is the first and the best slimest phone! This is cool yar!

  • Handset is very sexy and world's slimmest phone,

  • Its the 2nd most slimmest smartphone yet to be launched in the world its 4.85mm slim if they are demanding 400 euro that isn't bad afterall you are getting a slimmest graceful smartphone.

  • the main drawback its memory no card slot

  • Single Sim Screen is Amoled 5.2 Not bad with 423 ppi.. 3.5/5 Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615, cpu is 1.5 and1.0 ghz cortex a53 thats seems good but the price of phone is too high to its make him average.. 3/5 16 GB wid no SD ..thats worse ... coz of HD smartphone and HD video Recordings.. and the games are comes with big sizes.. so there are very tough competition between using it with games propose or using it like Smartphone. 3/5 Camera is 13Mp with very high resolution and Led flash.. seems good.. the great what i think is .. HD recording with its @120fps and Full HD @60fps.. thats Great..front camera is also not bad @5MP... 4.8/5 The Battery which depend the users to buy the Smartphone or not .. and i must say that its bad.. coz of 5.2Inches screen and only 2000 mAh non-remov Li poly... 3/5 3.46/5 ***1/2

  • why most of china phone looks like iphone? aren't they don't have any idea to invent by their own design?

  • Very expensive phone. I've got mi 3 and is very affordable with great specs.

  • No battery backup Very bad no features

  • Nexus 5 is better for the good specs, better price

  • Seems ...an over smartfone ..hehehe

  • I believe that oppo phone has its own quality and characteristics and i am using oppo find 7 and its great, so im sure that r5 is great too.

  • 400 Euro's for this handset?hahaha What a price for the specs.

  • That's how.

  • 16gb and no card slot...next please.

  • ohhhhhh This is fantastic mobile,I Love this mobile

  • I am in favour of Oppo R5...how u can expect a 3.5mm jack and a battery more than 2000mah in a 4.85mm mobile..and 16gb is enough bcoz u have OTG option in it..and u all know that every brand have drawbacks rather every single piece have drawbacks and u also compromise with them..but R5 have many great features like VOOC fast charging and many more..so u can go for it..

  • even worse, no expansion slot.

  • Oppo doesn't have a great track record when it comes to battery life, the Oppo find 7, which has a 3000 mAh battery. The battery life of this phone was just horrendous. So a pitiful 2000 mAh will be even worse, I can't see it lasting till lunch time!

  • No 3.5m jack, No radio, battery 2000mAh, its totally useless phone.

  • very good phone to waste your money. no 3.5 jack is also one of its disadvantage! slim phone but sacrificing the specification is also bad! nice try to imitate gionee s5.5 and s5.1 but absolutely fail!

  • Gionee elife s5.5 is better than this phone.. Compare from all side

  • how much of the oppo r5??

  • do u know anything about a mobile phone....msm and mt what is it

  • Today I could this phone, being thinness, it is really phone, no memory slot, no removeable battery is major drawback. Y phone producers not hear consumers. Sony, HTC many fans as they blindly follow iphone, no ext memory no removeable battery. Embeded battery hv many disadvantages. People living remote village, how can they change battery, they need to reach city/ service center which may not be reachable. To replace with spare battery escape emergency. Hope HTC, Sony, Oppo learn from Samsung & LG.

  • very bad phone. Gionee Elife S5.5 abd S5.1 is far better this. try to make slim phone with high specs and reasonable price. very bad decision !!

  • just weist money alot for this device.

  • battery not removable

  • Looks like very smart phone

  • must have a card slot

  • It's got the smaller one. LOL! Too bad.

  • You get a USB adapter for it.

  • There is with an adapter which is essentially a small external USB DAC.

  • No 3.5mm port? FAIL!

  • the thing that I'm so angry about is that is there's no 3.5mm jack

  • 2000mAh is more than enough for they who understand how to use their android smartphone in a smart way...

  • 2014 and you still stick with internal storage? You have to search 'cloud' word with your smartphone browser...

  • Oppo R5 is indeed unique with the design, however the hands on with the R5 is ultimately sleek and easy in handle. But I would say TO BE HONEST, THIS PHONE IS WASTE OF MONEY. NO EXTERNAL SLOT???? 16GB how on the earth 2014 still sticking with 16gb storing your pics???

  • so just because apple does not support it's not a problem anymore?

  • There is no support for headphones..which is a major drawback.

  • i think no memory card its not the major problem because iphone also not provided memory card for their fon. ;) nowdays memory card is not the major problem .:D

  • I agree with you,also internal memory only 16gb.

  • to expensive price for the brand

  • you expect a 3.5mm jack in a 4.9mm body? seriously???

  • No 3.5 mm jack which is a major drawback else the phone rocks i would prefer buying it without 3.5 mm jack

  • because it have only 4.85mm thickness so it is not possible to add a 3.5mm audio jack

  • because in the box it has USB-to-3.5mm Audio Adaptor

  • no 3.5mm jack????????????????????

  • everything is great except that part about no memory card.. why oppo why???!!!

  • this phone can split an apple!

  • Great HIGH SPEC smartphone compare to Find 7a. But internal memory limited to 16GB for those who needs expandable memory this phone might not be interested. This amount of memory storage may easily max out. Would still prefer the OPPO find 7 though....

  • me too i am also waiting when it will release and come gulf

  • Can i find this phone in the gulf region?

  • first of all note 4 3220mAh and also oppo r5 4.9mm note 4 8.5mm lol at least double sooo

  • the thinnest smart phone in current!

  • Ahemad R5 2000mah & Samsung note4 3000mah Battery

  • Lipo suctions

  • -ram to small for octacore -battery cannot pull out , if warranty expired, this phone after change battery will no valuable price, because screw has broken -battery just 2000mah for octa core, designer really thought we are fool, oh my god -octacore no need for current android, vendor should upgrade ram to ddr or higher type

  • 4g phone is maxximum 1600mah betry avalible in samsung note4....oppo r 5 is fst phone to give you 2000mah battery

  • What is Li-po ... 2000 amp

  • 2000 mAh ? in Indonesia it must be 2 - 3 times for charging and again, there is no slot for memory card, get ready for very slow performance

  • just 2000 mah ???

  • lousy brand

  • 2000 mah is good for a super slim aluminium mobile like this. It have all the goodies and also the premium looks with super amoled screen.

  • Battery timing almost 2600mah to 3000mah........

  • Its has very very pooooooor battery timing.............

  • if the internal storage 64GB that would be better :D

  • Design is awesome but the specification is very pooooorr,,,, gionee s5.5 or s5.1 are better than this one,,,,

  • Great specifications but this phone is missing a card slot. I would give it 8.7/10

  • Snapdragon 615, so this too will be a 64-bit processed phone like the desire 820. That's interesting, I expect some good benchmarks from r5. Looking forward to it.

  • Nokia 3310 is BEST !

  • reading the incomplete specs is not cool, they provide a adapter for the head phones :P

  • This phone is too thin however it does come with an adapter for the headphone jack.

  • intel ram is good

  • No 3.5mm jack??? why? because of slimness? not cool:((

  • Better use K900 of Lenovo

  • Low battery cell. 2000 mah with 5.2" display. Seems to me cousin of Z6 Qmobile.

  • World restlessness phone

  • It just 16gb but still you can expand to 1TB or higher than that using the otg .,it make sence

  • yes I use

  • So Vivo and Samsung useless too? They thin also

  • So are you still using Nokia3310?

  • So are you still using Nokia 3310?

  • Here are the major disadvantages:No memory card expansion, no Fm Radio, and too small battery.

  • not a good smartphone option. just a unique slim design with a bad battery life and no headphone jack.

  • It's very thin. will it bend?

  • I love this like the Huawei P6 its design a is superb..Both are in real use not good but the Samsung X820 was thin and poor battery but fantasstic design feat.

  • Aside from 16gb being too little in a modern smartphone without a card slot, anyone who's used ColorOS will know it eats battery. My Find 5 with 2,500mAh rarely got past 3 hours, same for the Find 7 despite having 3,000mAh. I seriously hope Oppo have prepped a bug and drain-free ColorOS for this, otherwise with just 2,000mAh it'll be looking nice and slender without power come lunch time.

  • Any bend tests?

  • I've been looking for a new "stand-out" phone for quite some time now and my eyes actually first were set on the Gionee Elife S5.5 and then the followup Elife s5.1 just because of the thickness(thiness?) of these models. This looks like the "one" but there's the battey life issue. The other thing is the Android Lollipop support. Since the processor is a 64bit version and 5.0's supposed to be optimized for this, could it be that the battery life might be lengthed by this? I'm still gonna wait and see whether some wiz-kid manages to create a vanilla 5.0-software for the phone since I cannot stand these "greasy" non-google versions of Android...

  • Nooo, 8000 mAh bat in 3 mm thin body :D

  • Useless phone. Of course gullible people think this is a good phone just because it is thin.

  • No card slot, so 16gb in present is too low. And battery is too low So its change this matter.

  • No card slot, so 16gb in present is too low. And battery is too low Chau

  • Battery is too littlittle. It will must be around 4000mAh

  • Heat management will have to be seen. Also how well this phone handles 'bendgate'.

  • Battery 2000 hahaha although 5.2 inch display, this is ridiculous

  • propietary microusb headphones plug-in , not conventional 3.5 jack

  • Battery should have being 2600maH to 3000maH for sure to run all the specs

  • It's 5.2" The easiest way to find which is the correct is to see the PPI, in this case, if the display was 5.5 the PPI will have to be 400 ppi.

  • It's expected - the 3.5mm jack's bed is thicker than the phones body.

  • Looks good and stylish. But a 2000mah battery...

  • There is a conflict in the display size in the Oppo website itself. This image says it has 5.2: But the spec details say it has 5.5

  • crapple...........hahahahah...........amazing burn bro.......... ;)

  • amazing device oppo, good job!!!!!

  • Beat this crapple. Next year its gonna be paper mobile

  • No 3.5mm jack..? :(

  • 5mm with these specifications is great good job oppo

  • Well, I have some thoughts about this phone after seeing the specifications. This phone is, for now, the slimmest phone intended for people who want to look stylish. However, just like the previous slimmest phone, this phone had to sacrifice its battery life for looks. Which means, you need to bring a power bank anytime and anywhere. Also, when we are talking about updates, OPPO doesn't really care about other types except for its flagship, the find 7. Regardless of what I've said above, this phone is using the world first 64-bit octa-core which is tempting enough for gadget freaks to buy it.

  • It's a 400 EUR means not cheap phone comparing to Xiaomi phones. Slim & Golden color ? Awww ! People love it. ;) Nice design & display quality but I think 2000mAh battery is cheap for this and also does not support Memory card it's a bad point. But 16GB is enough may be. Nice specification. ;)

  • Yay, first person. Phone = major want
