Oppo Reno2 - User Reviews

  • The phone is worth the investment, but even better options are the Reno 2Z (almost the same phone, much cheaper with MTK chipset and actually better in some ways) and the Reno 2F (On a per-dollar basis, a better cameraphone than most).

  • With $100 more than similar spec mi 9T, this reno will stay on the shelve quite long.

  • Flop Phone... Mi 9t pro is way better option...oppo is now confused between vivo and realme..

  • But it is a midrange?

  • totally agree, my oppo has been the best but since no updates from android im considering other brands

  • 160mm tall, 10 years later smartphone become notebook size

  • Oppo stingy update📱

  • Midrange specs with a flagship price, and android version will never be updated or it will be updated to android 10 after the release of android 11 because oppo is one of the most slow companies when it comes to android updates.

  • This phone is for people who love to take picture and prioritize camera over performance.. dont compare this phone performance with others in same price.. but compare the camera with other in same price. The camera performance is even better than oneplus 7 pro and samsung a70..

  • I will not buy this phone with it's high price. Much better to buy the Black Shark 2 PRO much higher specification but lower price than this. The price is too much for this RENO 2. I am very disappointed.

  • Oppo has its own quick charge technology (VOOC) which is supposed to be faster than QC.

  • The 730 though is worse than the 845 performance wise. The 845 manages to get an antutu score of 280,000+, whereas the 730 and 730g perform like an 835, As it benchmarks at around 220,000.

  • I am using reno2, Its awesome

  • I don't understand, APTx and varians, are not Qualcomm technologies?

  • "video rec. only with main camera" What!?! No ultrawide OIS low light video? Damnit!

  • Typically aptX can be patched onto your phone... see reddit. However this phone should really have had AptX-HD and AptX-Low Latency

  • 730 should be WiFi 6 compatible...

  • UFS version??

  • Would be nice in white. Why no depth sensor? Why max 60FPS video? Does ultrawide have OIS? That would be very very nice... What's the colour space coverage? Optical fingerprint means phone has to light up to read finger... but otherwise really nice specs.

  • A great phone all in all with the only flaw being its running on ColorOS.

  • Does this have FM radio recording option? Need Honest and Truth answer. TIA

  • It have front flash.

  • Right. Dont go with on paper specs. go check out offline oppo store use it feel it than say. I am using it and I musy say its the best device in the market. Dont knw y pple giving it overpriced title. Its useless its same as u compare a Hyundai car and A mercedes

  • yes it have dolby atmos.

  • Yes absolutely right. Reno2 is the best device in overall aspect. whoever is saying is overpriced kindly visit oppo store use it than say

  • Ahhh the Oppo Reno squared.

  • Please add Dolby Atmos to the specs (it's on the Oppo Reno2 website)

  • The telephoto unit is probably 2x. The website claims 5x hybrid zoom over the ULTRA wide camera at 83mm (itself a bit over 3x hybrid zoom on the main camera), plus Oppo loves to be purposefully misleading when it comes to camera specs, so I'm guessing it's actually 2x optical zoom.

  • No Snapdragon 730G (8nm) is more advance than Snapdragon 845 (10nm)...

  • what about camera perfomance

  • NO FM

  • How is the battery performance?

  • It has better camera than oneplus 7pro. Period. I have seen the video comparison and Reno 2 seems far ahead at such a lower price point. Rest is upto you to decide which one to buy. This is a camera centric phone.

  • Oppo website says it has Dolby atmos sound

  • Would like to understand sound quality. Has it Dolby Atmos?

  • I just compares Reno2 with the standard Reno, and I'm surprised to see that the Reno2's expected price. If it's true, there is just no point on buying the standard Reno anymore.

  • It is worth the price.....Main camera has OIS...It also has 5x hybrid zoom...It has super steady video recording which is as they claim....The Snapdragon 730G is equivalent to snapdragon 845..What else do you want at this Price Point

  • Its not worth the price but if money is not a crieria...this phone is decent enough

  • That's upsetting.

  • Are they worth more Mony anyway?

  • Oppo phones are gradually getting more expensive. Very soon it will reach the big player prices after which people will stop buying them

  • there a lot of space left at the front-facing camera area, why can't they just put the LED flash for it???

  • Yup

  • Please is support ant+ ? Thanks

  • Does it have 1080p60 video recording feature?

  • That's another Reno (2Z), not this one.

  • Still very expensive with this spec(temporary) that we know from other brand

  • Without all this upgrades the first one is just too expensive and could not sell....

  • It will be greater if battery is 5000mAh.

  • Failed .. too expensive compare to Mi 9t pro which has sd855 and nfc for $400.

  • No impressing ugly

  • It dose

  • A cutout hole with two front cams like S10+ but in the center of the phone would still look much better, and finally no protruding back camera, that is so nice to see.

  • It actually has a headphone jack, check photos. Got fooled by those out-of-date specs too.

  • opps, no aptx-hd, no 24bit/192khz audio, no MHL support

  • Why oppo not give 3.5mm audio Jack.......

  • hybrid zoom. 2x optical and 10x digital.

  • why again 20:9 ratio display?? days are near when smart phones will resemble tubelight.

  • Didn't the Oppo Reno just come out a few months ago? Why already make a second?

  • Yes, I also hope the rumor is wrong.

  • Definitely with periscope camera.. Cause without that how its possible to get 20x zoom?

  • I feel that, mate. Btw, you can check the latest leak, saying Oppo would come up with 3 devices: Reno2, Reno 2F, and Reno 2Z. Seems none of them would be positioned as the 10x Zoom's replacement, i.e no periscope camera. Still just a rumor, though.

  • You can always just buy a Reno 2

  • I just bought the reno 10x without knowing they are coming up with the reno 2, if they don't give the same firmwire for reno 10x this is going be my last oppo phone. Because the video stabilization sucks with 1080 60 p in the reno 10x

  • That has SD845. The cheapest SD855 device I can recall is Redmi K20 Pro. Even that is nowhere near $200. CMIIW

  • poco f1

  • 2MP black and white camera, lame... Meanwhile, based on the video teaser by Oppo, I'm guessing that the Reno2 would be able to use the periscope camera to record video with maximum 20x zoom, beating Huawei P30 Pro's 15x zoom for video. If true, why not just update the original Reno 10x Zoom's firmware to enable the feature? I mean, Oppo should aim at Huawei's upcoming Mate 30 Pro with the new Reno2 for H2 2019. Anyway, it is still too early to say much at this point. Perhaps Oppo has some more new tricks up its sleeve.

  • Mention a $200 phone with SD855 please.

  • Can't wait for the review.... Upgrade in all aspects from the original Reno.....

  • I think all company release alot of same phone with just additional feature, that is redecolas S9 and S9+ one plus 7 and one plus 7 pro shark 2 and shark 2 pro Oppo reno then reno 10x then reno 2 !!! but the only think that good for users, more phone means more competiotion and less price to end user. who image that you can buy latest snapdragon 855 with 8GB ram and 256GB storage for $385 with shipping !!! that is K20 Pro

  • 200$ spec phn

  • A gorgeous device (i.e Reno 10x Zoom) will get a H2 upgrade. I hope Oppo will include these improvements: - Bring back 3.5mm jack - Louder stereo speakers setup - Stronger LED Flashes, both rear and front. - SD855+ (although I'm fine with SD855) - New Sony's sensor that is bigger than the IMX 586 Should have waited for Android Q, though.

  • It's the new trend

  • helio G90 or G90T

  • So lame companies keep removing the headphone jack smh
