Panasonic X200 - User Reviews

  • hm...

  • Same problem my bro is suffering with. I suggest him to use another camera app (example: youcam, PicsArt, beautyplus etc) in those apps u can turn off that annoying sound. Another tip is to turn your phone on silent mode before using camera. I feel tht Panasonic eluga A2 has very less settings than compare to any cheap smartphone of about 5k :'( *Headbang*headbang* sob! :'( I'm using Lenovo vibe, its 1000² times better than eluga :D yippee!

  • facing softwear problem. no solution got bad exprience

  • I lost my Cellphone cover where I can purchase?

  • my sound is not working it just comes up failed! ???

  • i am having a hard time looking for a new charger!i hate it!

  • Wow what a great phone Not much Connectivity Useless Camera and whats more? Its a Dual Band 2G phone Couldn't hav been better !!!!!!

  • How do I turn the shutter sound off on the camera? Havent found out how to do that yet. So if anyone knows how.. email me. [email protected] Thanks

  • get easily get in thailand.popular for a time being. 'easy' to use.lack features, but nevermind, its a basic phone.a bit too heavy though.

  • i like every thing about the phone except that it has very limited facilities, and limited accessories availably in my location. that's why i can't get a replacement for my dameged screen

  • Panasonic should start make now: 1. Hi class TFT phones with highest colours 2. GD 55 sized or even smaller sets as well as light and thin 3. Maximum strong batteries as MX 7 and SA 6's. Even more than 1000 hours of standby time. Durable also. Come to the PARTY again, Panasonic

  • Tremendous. It is by design straight, smart, slim, elegant, really decent. While TFT result is also alluring. It has not power on/off function and its speakerphone is low than others. Otherwise I really love it even in 2007 when most advance sets ve come. Come Panasonic again start production. We miss you too much.....

  • This piece of technology right here aint that bad for a basic color phone. Been usin it for 2 years and nothing seems to be wrong with it even though i've dropped it countless times. It's a slim beauty! But i still have to say charging it really surx!

  • I just want to say that i have a Panansonic X200 and when i enter the menu it doesnt look anything like that. Why is it that my phone is different isnt it the same phone

  • I like this phone coz its slim & unique but we cannot set AMR tones as our ringtones.and memory is not so much enough.

  • I really like this X200 panasonic bacause its an useful and cheap phone but the only thing is that it needs more memory becoz its got hardly any memory but i really think it is a really kul phone and just not that it suits younger generaters too!!!! thanks to who eva designed this X200 Panasonic!

  • hehe... I like how the display for the menu shows Panasonic proucts... The Camera icon is a panasonic DMCLZ1 camera and the Games menu icon shows a TX17LX2 LCD screen... Something tells me it seems like subtle advertising! I love Panasonic hehe!

  • Check it out... It's way thinner than the RAZR... 303.

  • i bought it w/ RM700 for 1 1/2 years..cos its slim w/ camera n not as heavy as others..but recently it often hang n battery got prob..i took it to repair n cost me RM 75...after repair prob cannot solve n i js bought other phone recently...if u ask me will i buy it again if second chance was given...i will totally say NO...cos i can use my Siemen w/ 6 years but why not dis...i dun like to spend my money to change phone ...waste.

  • i just notice this phone was actually once one of the most thin phones out there!! way before the moto razr ! moto never actually owned the crown of the thinnest!

  • i have this phone for year and a half and i'm pretty satisfied with it, except calendar which is useless. but i have to say i've droped it a lots of times and i didn't notice any disfuncions. it looks great and after 2 years it's still very attractive. and generally, comparing price and options it's very good phone.

  • I like the Panasonic X200 mobile, But, not satisfied with the facilities available in this mobile. When compared to other mobiles like Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson, this mobile does have a calander but, cant do anything with it except checking the dates. Other mobiles have calander along with an option of entering some important details by getting into the dates. Other things I am not satisfied is with the battery life, Number of Games available, and the MMS and GPRS Settings, which the service providers are not able to configure it for these facilities.

  • i love my phone i have had it for 9 months but last week i droped it on the ground and the screen went dark and now i cant c the screen properly unless i hold a light up to it! i am so annoyed i wish it was better quality coz i only have ever dropped it once!

  • I've had this phone for about a year now. I like the slim shape, excellent camera and comparitively low price but some problems with it are: - no organiser. these are very useful for forgetful people like me lol - very annoying battery charger. It's wobbly in phone socket and sometimes doesn't charge when plugged in - low battery life. around two or three days max with not much usage - weird antenna thingy. Wouldn't trust breaking it off though like suggested below

  • the panasonic x200 only came with one game when my freind had 3 when he got it brand new now i have to download some games and the games on vodafone live cost $7.00 each what a rip of!!!!!!!!!!11

  • when i got this phone it came with two sim packs one on the outside of the box and one in the inside did anyone else get two sim packs?

  • wow! this phone are kinda slim right?

  • I've used this phone for about a year now. Overall it's fine. What I really like about it, is that it's very thin and slips in your front jeans pocket very nicely. Better than the thicker nokias and other phones I've used in that regard. What I don't like about it? The overall fit and finish is not as good as it could be (not really bad, but not excellent, either). And the charger doesn't always fit securely in the charging port, so charging it can be a challenge. That's a really lame charging port design.

  • lop off the antenna, it looks better and you really don't need it. I've done this myself and it works fine!

  • I'm still thinking of buying this unit.i've had panasonic cellphones since it started in our country.I like panasonic mainly because its durability unit-wise.if you drop it it's still intact unlike some units/brands.no complains whatsoever with its usefulness..becuase it is useful.others may complain of its short battery life..but have you considered the life-span of your battery..maybe its been a year already sincec you've bought your unit...definitely you have to have it change already. Thanks Panasonic!

  • Dear Nataly, I had the same problem untill I discovered "the secret".All you have to do is long(1-2 seconds)press the central key. Then the question "Would you like to lock keypad?" appears and you have to press again to lock it.

  • Helou helou! Pleas somebody help me! It seem stupid, but i do not know how to lock the keybord. I have in menu icon "lock keybord" but thats only for one time, when i unlocked i must do it again, in menu ..... What i dont know? Thanks a lot!

  • PLEASE tell me what's the data connection to pc softweare I have no idea how to handle this to transfer my photos to the pc.I have the usb cable, but I think I lost the drive when I bought a new pc.Plase help me!

  • Those with battery problems please let your phone entirely die of thirst first :) - this means let the charge go all the way down and wait like 15 minutes until the trying to power on the phone works no more... then with the phone OFF start charging until you see CHARGED or CHARGING DONE... you know what I mean.... then take out the battery to demagnetize, put it back in and you are supposed to have a full charge for 3-4 days... Also remember that Panasonic batteries are notoriously known as CRAPO-BATTERIES-REPLACE-ME-SOON!!! generic batteries do a better job and they only go for a few bucks anywhere... even on eBay...

  • when you try activating the camera the softare will try to open the len to the light first, then balance it, then show the preview and then will let you capture pictures or video... this happens in like 3 or 4 seconds but your phone is stopping in the step one since the hardware is not responding due to bad software... so it hangs!... the rest of the phone might work fine...

  • Hey BIM!, your camera is fine! - but the software is bad, I have seen this problem before due to PANASONIC mass-programming theor phones so at least one- to ten will go through what you are going through - PANASONIC response is send the phone to your nearest Panasonic-Matsushita store to get it fix (just re-flashed that is though)... it all depends where aou got it from and where in the world you are...

  • Since I use this Phone 1 year ago I had no problem. But now when I turned into camera mode, there's nothing but white on screen. anyone know what's wrong with my phone?

  • Quite disappointed with this phone. I could charge it all night [only takes 4hours to fully charge] and then text hardout for 4 hours and then it DIES! Really unhelpful especially when you're out on the road all day and it dies on you.. at first I thought it was my phone, didn't know it happened to everyone else.

  • Well, unfortunatelly I'm not really pleased with this one.I've found it too expensive compared to what it can do.The battery only lasts for 2 days (maximum!)and I don't think it's very handy to type a sms...I'm very disappointed and I regret that I've bought it.

  • Hmmm. On first glance you would think that this would be a good phone, but don't be fooled. This thing is a DOG. The battery life is very short (around 2 days and then drops off very rapidly after that) Secondly, the connecting unit to charge it dosn't fit properly and concequently it is difficult to charge, and so you will usually wind up "babysitting" it. Thirdly, the graphic user interface is quirky and is hard to navigate through. Finally, sound quality when calling is slightly better than a tin can with a string on it. The good things about this phone are: that its cheap, its small, and it has a camera on it. This in mind, you would be much better off with a Panasonic VS2 or even still better of with a Nokia.

  • Hey, this phone is ok, i know because i have borrowed my firends one at some stages, for road-trips and stuff. However, battery ife is very, very short-lived, and it need quite a few things. I decided to go ditch this one, and went to buy the even better, (for 30 buks more) Panasonic VS2, it has video recording, 1.3 mp cam, and a giant scren, something like 240x???, but its massive, and also, the VS2 also has a scren that displays not 65K, not 256k, but w haopping 16million colours!! with 32 mb memory, and mp3, layer 2 playback, its the best entry level phone ive ever had! they were 200 NZ dollars over here before the christmas of 2005, and are now for some reason 300 NZ Dollars. it features also sonic the hedgehog games in any other country except for NZ, dont know why, just comes with 2 game demo's over here...also, the VS2 is a clam-shell design (flip-top) and it has a automated opening button!! how cool is that? just cruisin down the street, and u want to open ur mobile, just push the side-button, and your away!! So go look for a Panasonic VS2, not a x200, they are only 30 buks more, (normay) and are worth the extra doars!! Kurtis/Krusts

  • i think its a really good phone and is easy to use which is always good

  • this is my third panasonic mobile phone. sad to say it doesnt perform quite as good as my last one, the GD75 which had a smart calendar and a very useful toggle button. i replaced it with the x200 coz i opted for modern looks n function. i.e. camera, which i like very much over the other popular brands. unfortunately, the same problem i hed with my gd75 exists with my x200. the travel charger doesnt connect properly and securely to the phone's charging port. a very big downside.

  • i love this phone

  • This phone is phat, it looks like the next gen slimline 3g phones, and even those with better phones are jealous because my phone is effortlessly cool. Not too flashy, but still snazy, and stylish. as far as technical issues go, ya get what you pay 4 i got this phone from a dealer US$80.00 absolute bargain if u ask me. txt lag? ur a freak, i have no problems with it good cheapo phone!

  • This phone is very thin and very light. People say "oooh look at your phone" when they see it. As I am not an eleven-year-old girl this is of little consolation. The battery lasts 2 days and dies suddenly. Buttons are poorly positioned and unresponsive. There is an annoying lag when texting. Speakerphone is so quiet you still need to hold the phone to your ear and everything takes ages to process. I hate this phone. The light weight is pointless if you have to carry a stress ball to counteract the frustration. I thought I'd get a reasonable standard considering the price of the product. I was wrong. I'd rather have an extra gram in my pocket and buy a Nokia, made to be efficienct rather than impressive to eleven-year-old girls.

  • Bad phone with such price.i bought it for 6400.it has only clarity of the pre downloaded images.if you download using the phone they are not same the images are shattered.Antenna is stupid.NO memory. No battery life.very very less talk time. ---A

  • panasonic phones are stupid phones.Battery is less.pansonic people dont have their site maintained properly. They dont have customer support. They dont have service centers. They show they have lcd display. Evry other company are giving much more clarity.when you download images they are compressed and dont look good this is too bad.and when the image downloaded in panasonic is transferred to other phones they are so clarity. sonyericsson gives lot more features than any other with a reasonable price. Dont advice you viewers to buy panasonic phones. No support and no battery. very delicate. They think they are cute phones just like their small eyes. they dont have broad mind.

  • Does anyone know the sound classes for this phone ?! We are porting on it and wee need them. Thanks

  • Very cheap, good phone. Camera takes extremely good pictures. The antenna is really odd though!!It has loads of class though and the menu is very easy to use...A++ i think

  • does any1 know why doesn't it connect 2 the computer by IrDa? it connected first 5 times but then it stopped..

  • Just got a X200 for my daughter. Cheapest cam phone and does what it needs to. Im wondering about software for PC to link to the phone. Are there java games that can be downloaded of net and transferred instead of using WAP? Thanks -LW

  • yup that's the antenna...I don't think it's harmful. Anyway it's a great phone, great design (that's what I bought it for, coz 4 other things I own another phone). Worth buying

  • Is the metallic thing act as antenna as I read somewhere else. If this is so, isn't it harmful to body?

  • It doesn't look like there's much backlighting for the call key on the left side of the phone. Is that right? The others all light up bright except that one.

  • i find it very hard to find any games or wallpapers to download! nothing seems to be available to this particular model. am i the only one having this problem? or have i been to the wrong websites? also, if the phone supports java, does it mean that i can download any java game and it'd be ok to play on this phone?

  • Hi, I'm using x200 phone. Pros: 1.Slim 2.Less weight 3.Speech and picture are clear. Cons: 1.Unable to set the recorded sounds as ring/alert tone. 2.Availability of correct pouch. 3.Everyday (battery)charging is required. 4.Feeble volume of ring tone.

  • For those that have the X200, how's the overall quality of the phone? Are there any problems/defects? Are these panasonic phones reliable?

  • I feel that this fone is great, it has everything that today's phone would have. although the extra part on the top annoys me, this fone runs perfectly, is handy and small. its perferct.

  • too little games... needa make more

  • A phone with great design & poor battery. Slim! Very Slim! May be too slim for guys. Very basic functions.

  • it rocks

  • Good look , excellant clarity in camera . SMSing is very easy and Dictionery is rich and all the new words get added , however can anybody tell me does this phone has a scheduler.

  • How do you set up internet and all the gprs thing i am in bahrain?

  • Last two days I exchange this phone with my nokia 6100.I bought it for just RM550(original zitron) I consider it one of the most cheapest camera hanphones in the market but then again the features is totally disappointing.. The shape and the colour is perfect but.. user friendliness is totally worst then I thought. can't even move all memory from phone book to sim card.I recommned this phone only for people that just want to call someone and taking pictures. If you prefer to phone for games and other excitement better try sony or nokia.

  • Hi all, just got this phone @ starhub. sign 2yr $28. is super slim and screen is so nice and clear. camera is also very nice. clear.. even better then my o2 xda II mini camera.. which has 1.3MP.. so i like it alot. =)

  • similar to motorola v8

  • got mine. panasonic x200 is the kind of phone that makes u think "wow, i actually own this phone" if u bought 1 of cos.

  • x200 is a an extremely elegant mobile phone for businessmen. Well-griped, with a perfect design, clear sound, friendly interface, stable connection. It's a cell phone for regular usage and image purposes one at the same time. Nearly the best.

  • this phone features n design r quite good. hey, u don compare it wit the high-end phone.for the price of around RM800 featuring 30k camera, voice recorder,65k color screen, infra red, gprs, wap,Java enable all in one slim n light phone.u should be satisfy.im satisfy!!!

  • Not as slim as a motorola v3

  • the screen is too small.

  • hey where can u buy this fone in the uk ?

  • hi does anybody knows where i can download a note-pad-alike software for panasonic X200 phone? cos i can't do without this application...:P thanks!

  • Cool Design and features. Money worth. Do u guys know any software manager for this phone?

  • Panasoc very nice design yet it consumes some parts of sonyericsson . bleak in shape poor demand of features uthe user friendliness still lacks and for new users its is difficult to adapt to . Please try work on a better phone or stay back on making diskmans i have one its great but ur phones are still retarted compared to other booming markets

  • i have one and i can tell that its damn slim !! good features too !!

  • perfect mobile!

  • please send me the whole pricelist of panasonic phones on my e-mail id

  • What's this? New electrical meter..

  • quite slim, I hope it won't be too expensive. It should be cheaper than 200 to contend against SE k500 which has more features.

  • IT looks fabulous

  • Quality phone... it's design is how a mobile phone should be... first impression of a good phone is the look... you want one that says "Grip me"... the X200 gives these words to one telepathicaly. Panasonic X200... look forward in meeting you.

  • like this phone.....so nice and small and great features and functions

  • The phone seems to be similar to the Sony Ericsson Premini though the only common thing is the upper part. This phone looks great but I prefer the premini, hope it'll be launched in Europe!

  • vvv ugly ler.....

  • What's the price?

  • It looks so elegant. I'm looking forward to launch soon!!

  • SEMC Premini?http://www.slashphone.com/19/490.html
