My HTC broke so I bought this replace for a £10 while I get a new smartphone or HTC is fixed. One thing I love about this phone, all the physcial buttons light up in a bright neon-blue... THAT IS SO AWESOME XD .. Also to the guy asking how to transfer your pics, it has bluetooth, if your computer/laptop doesn't have bluetooth in this day n age you need to consider upgrading your PC ;)

Being useless with any form of technology incls unable to do little else than just about get myself sorted out for searching the web, i am feeling pretty fearful re: my experiance with the original no camera 0X1i,purchased as it was inexpensive, i could use it on our trip to Las Vagas won in a virgin comp, then changing to 02 X1b when it came onto the market as its predessor but with camera. I would be lieing if i said not once did i have a problem with it, as i did in fact i had 3 each time requiring another purchase as it was on pay as you go, i had pqrs wearing out showing only blue inside on the lst, 2nd same prob also loosing wxyz the 3rs at 13 months old oct 07 either the charger or the phone itself wouldnt charge, unable to purchase new charger as phone now discontinued and despite the probs plus having to pay each time for new phone as no upgrade with pay as u go also being disabled unable to get to 02 stores for parts, advice or swapping..if it were still available i would have still gone for it despite the probs etc. A small light weighted basic phone offering better tex space than other makes, goog backup teamwork and courtesy, but most of all i feel the small cost of this phone together with the various extras cobined with excellent treats 3 monthly top up interest put back on phone, ability for use in states etc without any added extras more than adequately fitted the needs i wanted it for YES B 4 U ALL THINK IM CRAZY i should have received free replacements as there r obviously a lot of similar probs with this phone, noted when reading comments, but sometimes the devil u know is far better than that u dont, had 02 got another mobile at price i could afford with minimal requirements i need i would have purchased it over anyother t. m mobile, vodaphone etc and i do agree with the statement and survey putting 02 at the top of the ratings 4 customer complaints and services.I dont agree with customers being rude and abusive to customer care they do a job and it doesnt include manufacture it is there to help resolve probs, advise on what 2 do and b the mind of information. For those that have trouble pairing the O2 bluetooth headsets with thier phone.......... You need to go to Tools....Bluetooth........Add devices. The phone will start searching. While it is doing it press the on button on your headset, keeping it pressed until you phone finds it. Then press the button to pair it and you should find it works Ok after that.

i got the o2 ixb about december 2005 and like av had it replaced about 3 times with in space of 4 months and now my x1b not working now kept saying failed when i deleted my out box msgs and wen i turnd it off wudnt turn back on has any 1 experinced this if have did u get a replacement fone with out warrenty like to hear your comments thank you

This little phone does exactly what it says on the tin. Takes neat photos (in daytime or well lit areas)easy texts, blue tooth works great with a blue tooth headset, brilliant for when I'm driving and need hands-free. Cheap no nonsense phone. Lasts for 3 days on a full charge with average use. I'm hooked on one of the games, Eda Mouse! Only downside is the keys are way too small, but I knew that when I got it, it's a small phone, doh. But very very easy to use. I have found it impossible to get any spare accessories from 02 shops,and its true, they don't want to know. This phone is like having an old mini, it has all the bits you will need, and it does the job, but it aint no BMW.

Stop b****ing about this phone!! should have read about it beofre u got it, ive had it for nearly a year now, and it was fine then yeh but i want a new one now, yeh, the camera is only good in like, nice daylight, but i dont caaaare, and its not hard to text on, AND people that say they have to charge it every night...what the c**p, i only need to charge mine like, once a week! and i leave it on overnight! If your that fussed about it being rubbish, buy a new phone!

by the way if you want to turn the annoying sounds off when you turn the phone on and off hold down the right button at the top it will then turn to silent not hard to work out :S

Regarding Bluetooth on this phone - The Bluetooth function on this phone only enables you to connect to a Bluetooth headset for hands free operation and not connection to another mobile phone for sharing files, photo's or any multimedia. When I realised this on my own phone I sold it.

I bought this phone for my wife 10 months ago. She has never been able to manage the keyboard (keys to small),also the battery needs charging every night.So I must say this phone is a reall let down. This week the battery cover came off and was lost,I was amazed that you are unable to buy or even order the part. Tried the O2 shop and the shop that sold the phone but they did not want to know. They only said that if I had got it covered by insurance it could be sent back for repair,surely that would mean a battery cover.........so where do I get one.

Phone has been for repair, yes there was an inherant problem with one of the components. Also had software upgrade, which is meant to sort out some other problems. Will report back whether or not this improves matters.

Mine is going back today. There is a serious glitch in the phone which will make the phone do wierd things (black screen, switches off- very annoying when talking to recruitment agents!)and then results in it not being able to hold charge for longer than a day. Charge it overnight and don't expect to be able to use it by the following evening. This happened to mine 3 weeks after i got it as a b'day prsent. Not Impressed.

great looking phone for the money, i was looking for a nokia but there was only top and bottom of the range nokias available, there are some inherent problems regarding bluetooth being headset only, and the fact that it's not advertised as such! The text system is not great but useable, but I am happy with it personally, the camera isn't all that bad, it's cheap, you get what you pay for!

Hi Puck, You can turn off the start up and shut down tones but it also turns off the ring tone so incomming calls only use the vibrate, not a lot of good if you dont have it near you.

As an old guy, i only use it for phoning and texting. The thing that bugs me is that I can't turn off the noise on start up and shut down. Apart from that being short-sighted i wish the keypad was twice the size it is.hi.hi. ttfn.

I've had this phone for about half a year now as a replacement for my old phone (I lost it :() It's good for just calling and texting, the camera is good for only having pictures to put to people when they call. The bluetooth is useless aswell.

This phone looks really good i've had mine for 6 months now and i am really pleased with what it can do. this phone is amazing if ur a first phone buyer, but dont buy one if your looking of a phone full of gagets. the blue tooth on this phone only works on the head set and does not let you send or recive files. there is not loud speacker so its hard to hear in loud places. the pictures that the camra takes are some times ditorted and also very poor. The memery on the phone is rubbish it only holds about 30 pictures MAX. you cant play MP3 or videos. I would only give this phone 2 small children or old people because it lacks interesst. also when you open a text message from your inbox it takes ages even if ur inbox is empty scrolling also takes ages. the key pad is also very small so some times u press 2 buttions at the same time.

I am reasonably unfamiliar with bluetooth and only know its basic funcctions. It sounds as though it is a problem which cannot be sorted. Does this then mean that I cannot send a recieve pictures, videos and sounds for free within a bluetooth network, or does it mean that it has restricted capabilities.

ur all moaning about this phone well a phone is used for ringing people and it does that and it texts. Its a bargain phone so stop complaning, although if they had the same phone look but with more features more people would buy it.

despite some flaws, this phone is a great budget phone. for me at least, it does all the basic things like sending texts and phoning people.the games aren't great, but generally, people don't buy a phone just for the games. the camera is a nice little addon, and although doesn't take print quality pics, it is what you'd expect from a phone that costs �50. the only problems i can find are that when navigating the menu, it seems to lag a bit, and the fact that the bluetooth is only for a headset (a non-bluetooth handsfree headset comes in the box). overall, it is a great phone like for someones first phone or something like that. it also makes a great phone if you are just looking for something simple at a cheap price. many people are saying it is not very good, but it is great quality for the price range.

This phone seems similar to the Siemens AP75 except the Siemens has a better bluetooth than the o2 x1b. If you are going to get the o2 phone then you will be better off getting the Siemens (it looks nicer)

Hi you need to follow the instructions on pages 110/111 in the o2X1b handbook. Also follow the instructions for pairing in the Bluetooth handbook, its basic but works fine. The bluetooth only work the headset, nothing else.

I had the previous model to the X1B and I don't believe there have been any major changes. A few more ringtones, wallpapers and colour of the phone has changed but not that great after all. Bit disappointed that bluetooth wasn't what I thought it was.

This phone is not so good, you have to buy a headset to get the bluetooth to work. The camara quality is very poor. Its a good design but not a great phone if you want decent quality.

It's a great phone! Takes a bit of getting used to because it's O2's own brand but still good. However, the bluetooth only works for headsets, it does not have infrared and you can't turn off the annoying sounds when you turn it on or off. Excellent camera quality though and not bad to use. Perhaps a little slow going between menus.

I'm only buying the phone because my old one is a lil knackerd but it does the basic funtions a phone should do right ? text, ring and keep track of the time.......... you should not really have so much expectations on a phone that costs less then �100 these days. I bought this phone about a month ago cos a friend of mine bought it and I had been with o2 on a Nokia phone for a couple of years. The TXT service is really crap compared to Nokia, you can't forward multiple TXTs to people (you have to do it individually) and a lot of the time they don't even receive them. Moreover, it took a whole week to charge and still didn't charge up fully so I returned it for another handset which I've used for a week and has now been on charging since last night. Looks as if I'm back to square 1 as it still doens't show the signal for Battery Charged. Does anyone else have this problem. How in Dick's name do you know if the batteries are charged if it doesn't tell you?

i got this phone afew weeks ago because i lost my other phone. I was dissapointed to find out that the bluetooth can NOT be used to transfer files i.e music and pictures from others. You can only use the bluetooth for talking to someone on the phone through a headpiece. For example in the car. Its a bump!

I have had my o2 x1b for about 3 or 4 months now, its a great wee fone, bluetooth is limited to calls only but i dont see it as much of a problem altho if u r buyin the fone on the basis of it havin bluetooth please be aware it can only b used for calls. THe txt is a little slower than my nokia was before it, but i only bought it as a cheap replacement because my nokia broke, note: do not buy nokia 3200 cos as soon as u drop it, it breaks.

i think o2 is genuce but the o2x1b has not the same gd looks as the o2x1i or fueturs or peformence ok buy the o2x1i if u want agd phne for f***all buy one of thes but look at the ratings first the o2x1i costs �59.99 x1b �69.99 no difrence in both phones except style

seemed like the cheap phone to buy. but only really bought it for the bluetooth and camera. the camera is a bit poor (no zoom) and the bluetooth is even worse with not being able to send files, you can only use it with headsets. wouldnt advise you buy this phone unless you are willing to compromise on some features on it, you would probably do better to spend an extra ten-fifteen pounds on a slightly better phone. 6/10

Please compare the BenQ M300 to this phone. You will find why that it's wise to buy M300. O2 is copying the designs of BenQ and O2 doesn't gives you much features comparing to BenQ.

I bought this phone a few weeks ago to replace my out dated siemens C45, and so far so good! Firstly the size and weight allow it to fit nicely into your pocket, you'll hardly notice it in there. It�s a fairly stylish looking phone, but I would recommend the dark grey and silver version, as I believe it looks nicer. The menus are really easy to navigate, but on the odd occasions you might get a few split second delays, nothing that�ll hinder anyone with an ounce of patients. As for the camera, all I can say is I wish I could show you the pic I took of my niece on her birthday, great quality for a �60 phone! It even has quick change over options for night, indoors and outdoors as well as the auto. I tried the night function and it coped really well in dark environments. The bluetooth only works with head sets and won�t transfer data, however I bought this phone so I could use it with a wireless head set and it worked fine on two 4hour trips. I must also add that when I switched from my old phone I decided to keep my old sim, unfortunately my old sim needed up dating and the settings to be changed, however the via the awesome help I received from o2 customer service I�m now fully functional with MMS, GPRS etc. To sum up, I�d say you get a lot for �60 with this phone, and consider the next phone in the o2 range (the Ericsson) is more expensive and has no bluetooth at all. I if you�re after a phone that�ll be your friend and entertain you 247 because you have no friends, this phone isn�t for you. If you want a phone with some nice level entry features, I�d say for a mere �60 you can�t go wrong. P.S I�m a BSc Product Design graduate if that helps validate my opinion.

After a lot of searching for a data cable for this I found that the O2 X1b is really a Benq m315 and cables which seem compatible are available cheap on ebay. So hopefully I can now download my pictures and upload my own ringtones.

I bought this phone t'other day for �60 and it's a very good basic phone. It hasn't got the best features, but it works fine - especially for the price! One little niggle - the screen at the top right corner seems to be sticking out slightly and a bit of dust is getting behind. Is there any way of fixin this, or should i get it loooooked at in a shop? Email your answers please. NOTE, this is probably just my phone and it shouldn't stop anyone buying one.

right well i only got this phone yesterday and i cant really activate the bluetooth. it just says add device and the list is empty. would appreciate any ideas.

with my i-mate, sp3i, if i want to use speakerphone while i'm talking on the phone, i just hold down the "send" button for a second, and the speakerphone will be on. try that.

Its a good basic phone but how do you use the speakerphone when in convosation?

Sorry, Caz, just re-read your post. Argos won't exchange it within 28 days if there's technically nothing wrong with it. Let's hope it goes faulty...

Caz, how long have you had the phone for? Within 28 days Argos should be taking it back, but outside of that you should still be able to return it to an O2 store for repair / replacement (of the same model). The phone itself is provied by a 12 month warranty from the manufacturer (in this case O2)so any faults occuring in that time must be resolved. It's also worth bearing in mind that when a phone is purchased in an O2 store, it comes with a 14 day guarantee that allows you to take it back for a full refund /replacment if you don't like it and 28 days for a full refund / replacement if it goes faulty. Outside of that it reverts back to the normal warranty.

I bought this because i wanted a good phone with a camera and bluetooth. Sadly, the camera is grainy and useless, the bluetooth doesn't send pictures, and the phone is extremely slow. For �60 it was a complete waste of money, I've contacted O2 and i want a refund.

very nice phone got it for my sons birthday screen has cracked and everybody i have contacted to try and get a relacement hasnt heard of it tried the link were i got it they gave me a number rang it was told �70to �80 to replace the screen on a phone that cost �60 anyone know where i could get it done cheaper tthanks

This phone looks good but you cant play videos on it,bluetooth is rubbish,predictive text is very slow and the camera has no zoom.Unless you are looking for a really basic phone i wudnt recommend this phone to anyone!

took phone back wasnt worth �50 i now have SE k300i which was �20 extra and better and is still on o2 :) take my advice dnt get the phone its boring and useless

Hiya i wudnt reccomend it, if ur lookin 4 an o2 phone get the Sony Ericsson k500i bout same price but has better camera, video capture and quickshare etc...the desicions up 2 u.

great little phone, nice to handle, but i only purchased this mobile on the basis it had bluetooth technology, but later found this was limited to calls only!- a real letdown!everything else about this phone was spot on! shame they had to hold back on the bluetooth!

Gr8 phone packed with lots of features, the camera is better than most vga's and the games are addictive, the menu is simple to use, still 2 try bluetooth, best of all the phone is exclusive 2 o2 not much more 2 say except if ur looking 4 a phoe get dis 1.
