I got this model about 2 years and I am fond of it. Easy to handle. The only disavantage is that the battery does not last long, so I have to charge it every 2 days. Also, I bought a data cable, but it did not work at all with my computer, 'cause no connection was established. I see on this forum that it happens to others too.

Oh and also just this week the sound has stopped working. When I flip it open it makes no noise but when I shut it it makes the flip sound. Stupid phone! The vibrate also doesn't work at times. I sometimes don't notice texts till hours later. Trying to get a new phone on a budget but not succeeding! Piece of turd.

I had one of these and lost it.. it had been ok so bought another.. it stopped working within the first 4 weeks, had it repaired 3 times and same thing, had it replaced, didn't work, replaced again and the one I have now is ok...not sure that I'd buy the same phone again

hey, i had the same problem with the ring tone as well! but i finally solved it, you have to press the button LEFT beside the OK button, then choose one of them, then it says navigation, then your rngtone, then it will work!

No luck with this one for me I'm afraid. The first one stopped being able to schedule events - I lost it and bought another (cheap & scheduling wasn't the end of the earth.) It stopped working the month after I bought it - it was repaired and stopped working another 4 months in a row. i now have a replacement handset and the phone switches itself off randomly so I suspect the battery might be flat. I haven't had the phone in my possession all that long as it's been away for repairs regularly and have found out that while the handset is under warranty the battery is not, so not quite sure whether to get a new battery or cut my losses and get a new phone.

Crap. I had this phone as soon as it came out in pink and came with the free miniature pink handbag. After about 6 months the camera broke. Now the sound doesn't work, so I cant actually hear anyone so it is now completely useless. Broke 1 month after warranty expiry date. Please consider this review before buying.

hey guys, ive owned ths phone for about 2 and a half years now, yeah it does seam impresive for a crap phone, i must admit yes it did well but i have had to continuely change the stupid battery over and over again at least 6 times a year!! IRRITATING! i have been reading your veiws on this phone and most epople are saying that there are continuous problems with this annying battery, this phones are cheap and crap, if anyones wanting to get a phone, and doesnt want to spend that much money, come on, double your money and save up fr a bit longer, it really, really, really is so muhc better to get a different phone, take my opinion seriously guys, thi phone is cheap, and cheaply made, i reckon ive spent more than triple that amount just getting the battery repaired, good luck and gat a better phone!!!! he he i dont like it at all! =]

Yup, this camera is great for a first impression but it gets boring if you're looking for features. But in my case I use it to regularly call and sms my people in the business so it works just fine as it is. I got this phone 6 months ago and recently it just won't charge. The battery life keeps getting shorter and shorter. Now I have to go to a service provider in order to fix this problem.

i have this phone for a year now. My advice, if you are the type who wants great photos, a lot of feature, bluetooth, mp3 songs, do not buy this phone.. if you want to have a simple, elegant and small phone that you would use for making calls and few sms then this is the right phone for you. True bat last for 2 days only.. but the price is soo affordable, its $80 here in the Philippines... In my opinion this is good for your children less than 12yo and your parents/grandparents if you simply want to reach them anytime. lol i still love this phone though...

I beg to differ with some of you folks about this phone. This phone is actually pretty good. Yeah, it can't make videos but the camera is actually pretty good if you compare it to phones like Razors due to its "effects". It's also pretty durable. I have dropped this phone in the streets and stairs several times and it hasn't been broken or even fixed one time since the time i purchased it last year. I also like the design. It's tiny and compact.

I got this phone about 6 months ago and it was pretty good,,,apart from the fact tht is didnt have bluetooth or video it was ok,,,then i dropped it about 30cms and it died. i took it to be repaired and they said it had a faulty battery,,then when they gave it back it still didnt work!!!! so i took it again..and the lg people said the warrenty had expired which it haddnt!!! i had only had it for 6 months and the warrenty was 1 year!! so i gave up cause i already wasted 2 much time on this $99 phone!!

Hi, I own the KG 220. I have for a fair while now. I haven't found too many problems with it, I think I'm just a bit over it. It impressed me at first because it was my first phone, but now I just hate it. The Bad: -Camera is fuzzy and slow, no matter how still you hold it -Annoying to text with sometimes, if fingers are big, no use; Small keys. -Chips easily... -Not many features at all. -Battery lasts about 2-3 days, then needs charging once again- frustrating. The Good: -Very good for it's price -Good for younger kids -Menu colour options are OK.. (but get boring.) -Cute at first Hehe. I don't like it. =] =p

I have had this phone for exactly a year a few days ago, and it actually doesn't have any problems so far. Besides me HATING IT!! The camera is so crap, its all fuzzy no matter how still u hold it, its annoying to text with, has ZERO featres, cant set ya own sounds as tones.. + lame tones anyway. its probably ok for young kids 8-11.. or old granny farts with their first fone. but I've grown out of it and i hate it. its boring. overall its cheap, but then again, if u want a phone with a bit of style, features and half decent camera, DO NOT buy this. =]

i agree. i have bought this phones since last year and havent had any problems with it like everyone else is saying. i think it depend what country you get it in... lg phones are becoming extremely widely accepted, and it is getting better in quality and price as well. this phone is although simple, it has many positives. i love my pink one!!!!

Hi, i'm about to have this phone. But sun cellular, my service provider here in the Philippines, said that this phone receives bad comments about its durability and performance. They told us that this phone frequently gets automatic shut-off, unresponsive keypad and many other problems. What do you think? Will I exchnage this phone for a Sony Ericsson K310? regarding about the pictures one, it took me a while to figure it out too. ok... - when taking picture, set to smallest size. you should see red frame. - after taken, choose the option "send to phonebook" (green square thinggy) - it is now done. - It should be in the pictures section when choosing an image. hope i've helped..if there is any problems, just ask and i'll see what i can do.

A very basic phone with no silly fuss. If you want a phone that will call and text, this is it. Its small, pretty and I have no complaints about its durability (it has taken many a tumble on the streets and floor and whatnot). As for the people who can't figure out how to use it, thats why you get a FREE manual with it! ;P

Dear Marshmellow, Yes thats right, this phone does not have: Bluetooth USB The only way that you can get them onto your computer is to send the image to another phone that carries either USB or Bluetooth then transfer that to either a PC or a printing machine in a Department Store (Big W, Harvey Norman and Camera shops). im sure you can change the ringtone..lol..ur just not sure how to do it properly..you go into profiles general and then personalise also, make sure that you had not "set" and "group" tone, as it will not change if you had. please post if you have any other problems.

the kg220 cannot upload photo's the only possible way is by sending them via mms to a better phone. it is a cheap model made with cheap parts and will have software problems! Lg should stick to making dish washer's!!!

well, if you use the phone often, the battery does go out quite quickly, but if you only use it to occasionally call and send messages, then it should last you quite a while. im quite happy with this phone, but the bad thing is that it doesn't have bluetooth or mp3 ringtones, otherwise it would be the best! i have the pink one and its colour is soooo cool! i dont really regret buying it.

um, the battery lasts quite long, definitely not after 1 phone call..:P it will last even longer if you turn it off in the night, although i use my alarm and keep it on all nite, lasts about a week.. ringtones, um, no u actually cant record and set as tone...unfortunately.. i really wanted it too...that and with bluetooth, it would be the perfect phone! pink one all the way!

regarding the tones, normally if a phone has polyphonic, true tones can be downloaded into it, so yes, it can. hope i helped

the xylophone ringtones aren't actually ringtones.. to find the actual ringtones in the phone, go to: Menu Profiles General Personalise and then Ringtones yeh, they are the tones you can use as the alarm. first of all i thought the xylophone ones were the ringtones but they are just sounds.. hope i've helped and given people even more interest into the cool phone too! ps i have the pink one and it rocks!

actully i just tried setting the alarm and the alarm tones are really cool. is thier any way of setting alarm tones as ring tones. maybe im doing this wrong...ok to hear all the ring tones, do you go into downloads then into sounds? can u plz answer my question! thx

also maybe everybody else got different ringtones from me, but all my ring tones sould like they r played on the xlylaphone and it has songs like fur elise and stuff.

I just bought this phone i think its really good and all but it dosnt have bluetooth! Does it have infared im not sure??? i have the pink 1 and i think its really good value. i got mine for $99 but you can get the black ones off ebay for cheaper nut i wanted the pink one:) i think the camra is actully quite good. i would reccomend this phone if you just want to use it for calling and texting and stuff.

just got the phone and think its great! i agree, if u had an expensive phone then never switch to a cheap one, no matter what type it is. but, if its like ur first and u want like a cheap yet pretty good quality i really recommend it. i like it, and im sure others will.. the ringtones are greta btw.

Message to anyone thinking about buying this phone!!: If you currently have a good phone, don't switch to this. i went from a relatively expensive phone (samsung D500) to this piece of crap. seriously, the camera is the worst camera i have ever seen on a phone. it takes ages to load anything and the screen is way too small. if you want a cheap phone that texts and rings people with a crappy camera then this phone is the one for you. other than that, don't buy it. i can't tell you how disappointed i am after giving away my samsung D500, which may i add is an amazing phone. over all its a pretty pathetic phone. and one last thing, don't go with orange ever!! you never get any friggin signal anywhere.

with answering the phone, its all flips i think, u can set it to answer when u open, or press a button. u can set it to watever u want. regarding the battery, because it uses a lot, i turn mine off in the night. that, way, the battery life will last WAY longer. otherwise, yeh the battery wont last very long. i have this phone and think that its a great phone. unless, someone has just like owned a really expensive phone and has switched to this one. otherwise, if u want a simple yet very 'worth the money' phone, then i recommend this one.

with the photos, i couldnt figure it out either, but i found out..lol u know wen u take the pic, before u take it, u have to set it to the smallest size. then, after taking pic, press into "save to phonebook". if you have any troubles, just ask. with the polyphonic, if u have polyphonic phones, than u can download real tones.

well, you cant really put the pics on ur pc so that is one bad thing.. also, there is no speacker phone.. but..the sound quality is really great! its very clear and all. hey, u know, its a cheap phone and wat more can u request? um, i know other reviews say its bad but i think that its a geat phone. i have it and really happy with it. you have pretty much everything except one bad thing is that u cant set voice rec. as ringtone. then again, im really happy with my ringtones and im sure everyone else would be. i really recommend this phone to anyone looking 4 a cheap and good quality phone. btw, just wanted to add the pink one is the best!! :P

yeh u can have vibrate and ringing at the same time. it has like silent, vibrate only and everyhting like that. one thing for sure the ringtones are great! they can get quite loud as well. um, i think that the camera isnt THAT bad. it may be a bit fuzzy but it takes like quick speed. it captures the pic straight away. it has zoom, caller ID, and yeh isnt the best but isnt bad for a cheap phone. i love my phone. i have the pink one. the design is full on cool u'll fall in love with it if u get it.

the phone is really disappointing because it spoiled for two times in 2 weeks time. I couldn't turn it on after switching off. So I went back to the dealer twice. they fix it for the first time and change a brand new one for me the second time it happened. I was really happy about that. But the same problem occured again the second time with the brand new phone after a week. How tragic is that?

great feel to keypad nice pictures battery doesnt last too long though payg on orange works a treat menus are quick and simple happy with mine after a month or so of use. really dissappointed cant link to pc to download the pics though
