  • There is better one: Hammer line by MyPhone.

  • Unfortunately Cat B35 was my biggest mistake. I thought I was buying strong, smartphone-like mobile phone based on a Linux distribution with old good keys and... I was wrong. I owned MyPhone Hammer 2+ which I thought was too old-school and inferior to B35 and.. I was wrong, it was better. Pros: - seems to be strong (not tested personally) Cons: - it's like Googlephone much worse then Android based sets, I can't remove: Google assistant, Google browser, Google maps, Google's YouTube. Google owns me. - there seems to be no possibility to set different profiles like: normal and silent mode for meetings - KaiStore has almost nothing interesting, most are games and - keys are clicking loudly and it's impossible to write sms quietly - it's extremely slow, almost every click meets c. 1 sec. response delay, even contact list search where I have c. 30 contacts - UX is very bad - system is proprietary - cannot customize the system to work the way I want it and many useful options are missing - cards are moving inside their silly tray when you shake the phone It almost feels like the phone "owns" you the worst thing is that I had no such issues with older Hammer 2+. Conclusion: I'll definitely go back to the Hammer branch of strong-phones.

  • Unfortunately having many quality problems with our CAT B35‘s. Volume changes by itself Barely can hear the other side If the battery is completely exhaused, the phone won‘t restart anymore The micro-USB socket will tear out after a while We had to send in about 20% of our phones for repair. Still no reply from CAT regarding the quality issues.

  • Is this available in the Philippines?

  • why is the cell phone volume going down by itself? What can I do to prevent this from happening?

  • is this best for Wtsapp

  • Yes it has whatsapp, google maps, google assistant, youtube, facebook..

  • Yes

  • is this compatible with whatsapp?

  • Should suit you fine then.

  • This phone is perfect

  • Very poor phone. Can't send group texts. Complicates anything that should be straightforward

  • This mobile for fool and losers

  • so it can have an IP rating...

  • why make a phone where you can't replace the battery???????????????

  • Can a chess.com app be installed in this device? Or os there a chess app in kaios where i can play online? I hope theres stockfish, droidfish or any other apps in kaios.

  • Excited to have this.

  • This completely sold out everywhere online. Wanted a rugged kiaos device too. I want a phone I can hammer a nail with. So far, the only one.

  • You have a mistake in specifications, micro sd up to 32 gb, in your specifications is up to 128gb.Best rewards.

  • i can barely hear what people tell me, also the rear speaker's sound sometimes dimmers or gets parasites or both and i've had the phone for almost 2 months.

  • yeah you can set it up as a mobile hotspot

  • Does this phone support tethering (wifi, BT or USB) to share the mobile data ?

  • I can't find this phone limits capacity for contacts. I am using Manjaro linux to connect to its storage, so I believe you can do the same in Windows. In Kai Store, there is an todo app, I am using it just fine. Hope it helps.

  • Please, has this phone possibility to connect to PC (Windows 10) via USB cable? And what is capacity and structure of contacts? 500? And has it a possibility to make todo list? Thank you very much.

  • Does KaiOS offer Java ME support?

  • The phone looks nice, strong and sturdy on my hand, feel like an undestructable handset. Reception is perfect, I got four bars of 4G network same as the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. The calling sound is crystal clear and loud, also love the rear speaker producing good music even it doesn't have bass. Battery life is extremely good, it still have 40% after 3 days of usage, I made a numbers of phone calls, texting, web surfing and even watched youtube. I don't have any complaints about its hardware. The back side in fact comes from KAI OS as the operating system is not mature at this stage. MP3 player is a huge disadvantage as it nevers ending scanning the sd card for music files, even turning itself off before the process is completed, you cannot create a custom playlist by the way. KAI Store has apps but don't expect too many, it only takes me about 20 second to surf the whole store. The settings is straightforward but its font rendering can be improved, it is too white and bright once highlighted. Web browser can't compete with Opera mini in speed and convenience, I wish Opera mini is available in store soon enough. Overall, I am happy with Cat B35, will get patient for Kai to mature then I will have a perfect smart feature phone.

  • Use it for 3 months. Big but light unit, feels like holding a toy. the uild quality is so so. Yes, KaiOS in this phone offer us Google Map, YouTube, Store and other fancy stuff. unfortunately, some how it fail to meet basic feature phone need - Easiness to search phone book and easiness to write text. You can't find contact with 2 words by searching thru the second word. in this case, so if you save your contact by 1st name and last name, you'll not find them if you search them by their last name. There's significant time delay when you press the button until it react. not too long, but you can feel it. Since I also use Nokia E52, I can say the performance of E52 is much better than this phone. I would like to give 6/10 for this phone, and considering the price, 5/10 will be fair enough.

  • yes if you buy the dual sim version, operators sometimes sell single sim version so you need to check if you buy it on a subscription..

  • Can using 2 Sim Card? thanks!

  • If you will buy this in philiphines, you can use it in philiphines

  • is it work in india

  • can i use this phone in the philippines?

  • Will this phone work in Canada (Telus)?

  • No idea. But why record calls.

  • Can anyone report the battery life when using the phone as a hotspot?

  • Is this Cat B35 has built in call recording or any call recording options, please tell me, if any one know...

  • Yeah that's Europe not America. Also, even though you can get KaiOS devices in Europe, that is not the target market.

  • That's not true. In Europe, they sell KaiOS devices as well. - CAT B35; - Alcatel OneTouch Go Flip; - Nokia 8110 4G; - Doro 7060.

  • No. KaiOS phones are for the Indian and African market.

  • are they going to make a version for America?

  • Because its supposed to be a tough phone and in my trade it has to withstand digs to the screen and keys in pocket pressing into screens etc this is why its marketed as a rugged phone. My issue has raised interest to Bullitt after i made contact with them which are the people that design and make these phones showing interest in my case so much so they have been testing the units they have in office to see if there is a flaw in the manufacturing process and have raised this issue on the production line of the phone to test such floors, they have said the handset i have recieved must of been faulty as that should never happen, they have been great about it and have issued me a replacement unit and have thanked me for raising the issue great customer service.

  • Maybe I'm silly but why would you " gently" press on the screen of a non touch screen phone? Do you also gently press the glass of a new TV you buy :)? It's got a plastic screen which is flexible so it wont break when you use it as intended.. apparently its not fool proof..

  • Yeah I bought this from Clove UK its just come in and cost me more than I would usually pay for a rugged phone £109 or something all in, obviously not there fault but I will be sending it back and not touching this B35 again, broke after one day and supposed to be rugged haha jokers look forward to a response from the company that make them as well Bullett. First time I have had a CAT phone either, wondering if the B30 is anygood can anyone advise, I know it lacks features like this B35 but is it strong and sturdy?

  • well clearly it seems that their quality check is not right. Similar to you, to me today while changing 5 emergency lights (just a round plastic lid with a light on it) one of them straight out of the box is faulty. But these are just cheap chinese quality shit, replace the whole thing, electronics and all after half a year of use. I hate this chinese low quality crap. And people who just look at the price and say ''ohhh it's cheap, let's buy it'' then end up spending 5 times more money after replacing it 20 times.

  • Also the phone is still lit up no way of turning it off

  • I've emailed the company that makes them, as not being funny I have a cheap nokia 150 and the screen is hard as nails, I was amazed the amazement is I put hardly any pressure on when I touched the screen and its cracked the digitiliser not the outside screen.

  • that's unexpected especially from caterpillar... out of all things, I'd expect their phones to be work phones... sturdy, good signal, good battery, no BS apps... but I guess not then

  • So i got mine today everything worked nicely lovely phone, but it has a extremely weak screen on it i gently pressed on the screen to see if it was hard as its a rugged phone and when I say pressed i mean the gentlelist of presses and bang the digitiliser just crack all the way down, how on earth is this supposed to be a rugged phone if its in your pocket and it presses against some keys or anything else the digitiliser is gonna crack and go mine now looks like it had a giant ink sploge on the screen and won't switch off.

  • Hi Guys, I like that people are active in the comments, so I would like to write my experience with the CAT B35 since there are barely any review or info out there. Pros: The phone is works well, solid and still quite lightweight (Which I personally like). Most things work as expected. I do not have the feeling its a smartphone, but everything seems to work a bit better than a feature phone in my opinion. This was something I was looking for to kick off the smartphone distraction. Furthermore I think the rest of the phone is just like any other Kai OS phone. Cons: You notice that some functions that you have in Android are not incorporated. Personally I was looking at a data limit which I was unable to find. There are just the basics in this phone, and some parts for me that are essential are (still) not incorporated. The phone sometimes freezes for some time, or just turns off. I also have difficulty connecting to some Wi-Fi networks. What personally bugs me the most is the limited apps available in the store. Besides games and the weather app the only other app (singular) is Twitter. It is stated on their page that the phone has Facebook, this is not true. There is also no release date for Whatsapp, and we are not even sure if it will ever arrive. (Nokia has stated in Juli that Whatsapp will arrive to the 8110, but so far no changes or comments have been made further. Personally I am starting to doubt it) Conclusion: I personally do not find this device worth the money, the promised features are not included and we do not know when they will arrive. Right now it is just a regular dumb phone with a 4g connection, but checking the internet is not as easy as with a smartphone. The lack of support from the apps and from the companies themselves are difficult to ignore. Right now I have asked if I could get a refund for the phone, since the promised apps are not available and they are unable to say when they will become available. The Nokia 105 of 15 euros would have done equally well for me.

  • oh man, the C905, that thing had wifi too, that was a bad-a** phone

  • Ordered one earlier from clove uk, the moment i saw it i just had to have it and the specs look good I like rugged phones and have used alsorts, upgrading my Crosscall x3g to this as its specs is something I have been waiting for on the new generation of feature phones. I gave up with delicate genric smartphones ages ago hate them.

  • There is no VoWiFi on 8110 as far as I know.

  • Looks like the only "feature" phone with VoWiFi. Together with hotspot, 4g, battery, durability and price makes it the killer. Personally, I would prefer less features, like Google stuff.

  • Not yet, only an Indian Kai OS brand has this, not in Europe with any brand yet, will come at some point tho

  • Does anyone know, will Whatsapp work on this phone ?

  • - Nokia 8110 4g - Already out in eu, cheap plastic, splash proof vs ip68 - JioPhone 2; - only in india with own fork of kaiOS - Xiaomi Qin1s; - 1/2 of ram and 1/8 of memory No need to chose

  • High megapixel isn’t an assurance of quality. Although I’m not sure the camera on this phone is great. There’s isn’t any demand for feature phones anymore to have good cameras on them. Although with the somewhat advanced features on this one it would be good for the camera to be acceptable, and produces good clear shots.

  • If you wait until the end of the year, you have 4 feature phones with KaiOS: - Nokia 8110 4g; - Cat B35; - JioPhone 2; - Xiaomi Qin1s. Choose wise! :)

  • as @Stup saing 'MP' isn't everithing, if you take that 2MP ~ Full HD resolution, so you can produce decent photos from 2MP even 4A documents.

  • Positively excited for this one. I am legit going from my Pixel 2 to this. I am fed up with IM and constant notifications.

  • kaios

  • Same specs and same price as Nokia 8110 4g. Better build quality and resistance IP67. Better battery quality 2300mAh.

  • It's running KaiOS

  • 'MP' cannot be quality standard for camera

  • os?

  • Why can't feature phones have at least an 8MP camera, you know, like the Sony Ericsson C905, Sony Ericsson W995 or LG KC780? :( This is (just one of the reasons) why I absolutely HATE modern feature phones. The older ones are SO MUCH BETTER!

  • Nice
