hi the last comment of me withe the question how to change language of Qtek 9090 is only work for to reset the language but if you dont have the rom of english language you must install the ROM. Becarefull it have so meny riscks with installing any kind of ROM. I think that you will ask me where to find and download this ENGLISH ROM. You can download from forum.xda-developers.com/. think one of the three may work

you can change you ppc language by following this steps first tap the start and next settings choose system tab select regional setting the choose the language eg.English(united kingdom) and tap ok at the right top. i think that will help if it does not work try this putout your battery for 5-6 hrs and then put it this will restore to the factory. i think one of them will give you happiness.

Its a pocket PC indeed, but in my opinion, its too big and massive to hold in a pocket. If I wore sweatpants, it would really be uncomfortable in it or if I wore it with jeans, it would be hard to sit, but thats basically everything thats wrong with it. Touchscreen is just great, screen is huge which is a big plus, qwerty keyboard could have been done better, keys are too small.

In the specification area on gsmarena, there is usually price range for telephones presented. But not for Qtek 9090. Can anyone tell me the price of this telephone, if it is available anymore, though i don't see the reason why it shouldn't be.

Incredible machine! Never dissapointed me for what is four years now! Only had to buy a new battery twice and once - a new stylus, but that is perfectly normal for a hardcore user like me. Updated the firmwate to WM6.5/Manilla and now it is faster and most responsive than ever. And what is even more - last week I managed to drop it into the kitchen sink full of soapy water. After pulling is out water was leakink out of it from every possible opening. I nearly called it a total loss, but after two days of drying with some silicagel bags around it, it came back to life as if nothing happened! (...and was definately cleaner than before the incident :) )

I have used this device for a couple of years and it has never let me down! It has been invaluble for starting up my own business as all files can be kept on the memory card, accessed by the device and I can sync over my mobile network and wifi! It renders Navigation programs with ease and it's display is brilliant. Yes it is quite a large device, but in todays market where everything seems to "HAVE" to get smaller I still need a device that i can use with my fingers and not a silly little stick! I rate this device as a good all rounder and won't let go of mine until it has completely died! :)

I just get the qtek 9090, and surprisingly to me, it can not recognize the SIM card. It somehow does recognize once. Does anyone encounter this problem before? I'm staying in Singapore, and does not have any support center for this product.

This is a good phone but there's a price you have to pay... batt, and other accessories are very expensive... so if you stumble into this situation where you have to replace something, its a pain... know what im sayin... but the reward is, LOADS of really, really cool apps is avail on forums for FREE! Download and install XCPUScalar in order to overclock your blue angel. Once installed, check the option to show frequencies above 500 MHz. The Blue Angel ROCKS! Maybe it's an old device(about 4 year old), but it's still in the competition. It's fast and it has the package. Oh, and it's upgradeable to wm5 and wm6 also!!! Check out the xda-developers site.

About the wifi usage. whenever i am at a hot spot no matter how close i am to the device my strength of the signal is the the same as me being at a distance so i wanna know is it possible to increase the strength of the receiver.

hey I have the Qtek 2020i and my screen broke, what I did was. if you take out the battery and and void the warranty (if you have one, if you don't don�t worry about it) you'll need those tiny screwdrivers to take apart your qtek. You won't brake anything if youre careful take your sim out and memory card first. The Qtek is great cuz it's a plug in screen not a solder in screen. so take all screws out, unsnap the back cover, you'll see the mother board, unscrew those screws, till you get to the screen. theres a bracket maybe that holds the screen in place unscrew that, look at the motherboard where the screen is plugged in and unplug it. I bought my replacement at ebay.com it was $70. but its an easy thing to fix because if you were to send it in to a geek they'd do the same thing but for more bucks.

You need to install ActiveSync (microsoft) to your computer and you must have a USB cable to connect the Qtek to the PC. Then you can install software over the PC. GREAT GADGET!!!

Outstanding performance! Sturdy. Great speed. No hangs. PC Sync in split of the second.Can be overclocked to the 590MHz (I did it and it runs without problems). This is a PPC and I give it full 10 (TWO THUMBS UP!!!!).

I have been using the qtek 9090 for a little over a year. I have frequent lockups with it and have to do a soft reboot. This may have more to do with the company software than the device itself, I am not sure. I do have problems with signal strength of the phone alot and the built in ear piece does not function as well as traditional cellphones in my oppinion. Works good if you take the time to plug in and untangle the earpiece. To have as multifunction device it is pretty good. If I was primarily using it as a cellphone, I would make a different choice.

I've had a lots of different mobile phones, and change them almost every month. When I bought my qtek 9090 at the first look I thought I made a mistake but, after a first second working with it...I knew that this is what I was looking for. I knew then why I've changed so many phones...Nokia, whether it is with symbian or not...sucks. Sony Ericsson P990i is near (only near)....and rest of the phones are now worth of any words. This phone is exactly what I am looking for....never hangs...runs three times faster than my first PC...double as memory...Internet wherever u go...compatible with PC...GREATEST PHONE EVER!!!!!

I have this phone, and I tell you what. This phone is alsome. The only thing that i can be unhappy about is the command "possible data loss" when i don't have inaff battery. The first time i thought it's a joke but second time when the same command was showed again my phone was reseted completely and I didn't know what should I do. I got a Qtek 9090. This is the worst phone I have owned. Many problems due to poor phone sensibility. If I had to choose again I would never buy a Qtek anymore

Guys this phone is all in one. It's pretty good and i got all the prgrams and games for it. I will give u all a hint on how to make your ringtone in mp3. Just copy the ringtone u want into windows directory into a folder called rings. SO now if u go to sound and notifcation u will find it. Simple have fun...

I have my Qtek9090 for a year now. In general I am happy with it but beware of some technical problems. Some units had problems with the microphone. Sometimes the screen just freezes and I have reset it to get it to work again. I do like its performance with Navigational software (tomtom or iGO9) It works very well and it is lots of fun to use it while driving. Although when using the navi software, the phone does not work as well anymore until you exit the Navi software. Also as a phone it is too big and hard to carry around. I do not make so many phone calls so I find the size ok but if you want a compromise then get the new 110 which is smaller. Overall, it is great to have so much functionality in one device!

Am using device for a year, quite happy. Browse internet with it using GPRS and use as a regular phone / sms device. Decided to connect it by Bluetooth to my notebook and browse the Internet on notebook using Qtek's GPRS connection and failed. Is it possible at all?

You can't switch languages in the software - you have to reflash the device with a different ROM image - the problem is that the upgrades check for a matched language - so you need to use a a modified upgrade utility... Do a websearch for "MaUpgradeUtnoID", and you should find the stuff you need.

Just taken delivery of my new Qtek 9090 (or Vodafone v1620 as my one is). Previously I had the 2020i and already I prefer this one with one exception - which I will mention shortly. Good Points: 1. qwerty keyboard is neat and usable. 2. The extra function buttons on the lower front of the phone are very useful. 3. The camera button is less easy to catch by mistake and take unexpected photos. 4. It does not seem to hang like the 2020i did. (So far!) 5. It looks good. Bad Points: 1. The case it comes with is useless. You have to take the phone out of the case to do anything. You cannot even see the screen. 2. Uses a different shape battery to the 2020i, so I have had to bin my spare battery from the 2020i. 3. Uses a slightly different shape stylus to the 2020i, so have had to bin my spares. Overall, great upgrade.

Great phone, but Qtek seems to be inexperienced in entering in to the market with a complete customer support infrastructure (like DELL for example). So, if you need help, there's little available out there.
