my second phone for my 10th birthday in 2010. owned it for 2 years and it did a good job until the touch screen started to cause problems like lag and misclicks. but it still works and its used as a reserve phone if my nexus 5 needs a repair if damaged (which happens VERY rarely). still liked the keyboard

Guys plz dont panic at all, there are two basic differences in WiFi enabled model & w/o WIFI models Worldwide: first, there is a logo printed on WIFI enabled set(s) saying "WIFI", on mobile phone front side near earpiece, specially WIFI enabled set(s) are available in only two original "double color schemes" , Titan Gray(Black upper side, which is screen panel, and lower gray keyboard panel) and Pink+white color scheme. While without WIFI or B3410 "without w" has no logo on phone mentioning about WIFI and It has only single color scheme avalable i.e Black(U)+Black(L). If any other color scheme or body color is found anywhere, so that is not originally factory manufactured or purchased exclusively casing or body type. Alternate way to verify Wifi presence is to check if software option is available in phone or not. I hope that it will guide a lot of guys, plz pray for me. thanks all.

its not true .go to the setting in the main menu\memory settings\defualt memory\blue tooth\ then change ir from phone memory to memeory card and save :-) i have recieved files more than 50 mb with this phone .meybe yuor using the b3410 not b3410w.

shared memory sucks... the memory card memory cant be used to to store bluetooth went being send from other sources... 16 mb not enought .. cant set ringtone went memory from phone is low... cant changed the default memory... apps is limited.. water easily enters the screen .... but dryies off after a long time few hours.. even after the upgarde of this b3410w model...

seems like ur phone always falls around. i do hv 1 and this happen lately. unresponsive touch screen but i just consider that was my fault give my kids playin around wth the device.. as we know, all electonic devices cant hold hard shock even manufacterd never say so. hardly advice to change the new device. slaid problems always come wth the cabel tape below the screen, try to have a look the cable, maybe it broke

i think u haven't tried this thoroughly, i am regularly using internet connection on my pc samsung 3410 as modem through pc suite. first make sure ur phone has internet connection which is supported on pc not just simple wap. or confirm the same or ask ur network operator.

Actually im using it now..very ease at messaging b'coz of it's qwerty slide keypad..nice wifi easy to access and fast net browsing using opera mini 6 installed..fast streaming wtching youtube 1-2 sec. Lng mag buffering'..everything is smooth...it,s battery life span last 3-4 days dpend on using...i just have it for only P3.8K (2nd hand q xa bnili co'z i cant buy a b'new one) Yun lang hindi xa maxado makinis kc nga 2nd hand..:P IM VERY MUCH SATISFIED WITH MY B3410W

hey guys 2 people can listen to music at the same time by two earphones ,just plug the orginal earphone in to the samsung port and and an other ear phone to 3.5 mm satandard jack and enjoy listenin to misic with you freinds ,this hand set rocks :-)

hey guys pay attention , this brand is b3410W ,it has wifi and some problems which was in its older version i mean b3410 have been solved ,like newer touch Wis interface or supporting more than 500k java files and apps .so we have 2 models of this phone b3410 the older version released 2009 and this one the newer version with wifi released 2010

the pllayer on yhe widjets is playes only musics copyed to music folder of te phone and it dosent recognize other music files on the other folders ,but in file manager it playes all of them ,i havent addet any memory cards yet mebi its becuse of using the phones memory and i dint khow how to make playlists

i have been a nokia user for so long and i just bought this cool phone! at first i found it hard cuz i was not used to touch screen and i have never used samsung before but then i liked it so much now im used to it and i just bought it last january 4! it's scratch resistant. i can use the internet and its good. i watch videos on youtube using this phone. i dont know about the themes cuz i don't like different themes that much. you can use other ringtones if you like and so far, i haven't seen any defects. :)

i had this phone 3 months ago, but now it has been brought to the service center because it couldn't read my memory card. We've done testing it on other memo card. I really miss my phone:(. Started using this Samsung B3410W Ch@t 3 months. Bought the white/pink one at PhP 7,900 (that's around US$197, not really sure). Anyway, so far it's good. Touch screen - very responsive QWERTY - looks stylish WiFi - works best using my WiFi at home but worst when using WiFi in public places (malls usually) Video Playback - not so good. you have to reduce the bitrate otherwise it won't play Camera - for me, 2.0 MP is ok. don't really like bigger than that because the picture size gets big (of course!) but the pics are just ok Sounds - really ok for me. what's good about it is that you can use the standard audio jack. Over-all, i'll give this phone a rating of 7 :D

And all my fellas said "That's way too cool!" but the phone has some things that troubled me, it's not very flexible. -->Whenever you set an audio from ur memory card as your ringtone, it will make a copy in phone's memory. I change my messages tones several times and after that, there was no space for anything, even for phonebook's caller picture! so must I always delete un-needed audio before changing it to the new one? so LAMEE....(The same thing happens whenever u set ur wallpaper.) -->unlike Nokia, this phone doesn't allow you to play ALL the song directly from it's folder. ive been using samsung b3410w since its release and i was satisfied with its performance. honestly, i could not think of switching to or buying another phone 'coz i already have everything i need here -- especially the wifi application (although im currently using 3 phones)... the camera is good but if you want higher resolution this is not the brand for you. i suggest you buy a camera 'coz that is designed to shot good pictures. camera on a phone is just an added feature. it doesnt have a built in flash though. the sound is also good. wi-fi connectivity is not sluggish it just drains up your battery real fast. i guess, a fully charged battery can only last up to 10 hours (or less) continious use. but on standby mode, it can last even for a couple of weeks all the rest of the features are very user friendly.. i only have one frustration..the screen scratches easily. i mean, im very meticulous with my gadgets but this one has the most scratch. its' screen is not really scratch resistant and now im looking for a scratch remover to fix my screen.. all in all, samsung b3410w is worth your money...

I definitely agree with the range of the Wi-Fi connection. We have two hot-spots in our house. The first one works fine, within the range of roughly 20 or 30 meters, the second one works only in the area of a half of a meter. I know the Wi-Fi is not the important feature of this model, maybe due to the battery operational time etc., but it sometimes annoys me :)

i love this phone and have been using it over a month. it's great in pink - better more pink instead of white outer and only pink keyboard part. qwerty keyboard is great. and wifi works wonderfully. 3 'desktops' is nice. touchscreen is a great addition too. #1 - built-in browser does not auto-fit (like opera) so text scrolls full length as is not automatically resized to be read on mobile screen #2 - there are no new additional widgets (y!search is only one available) #3 - widgets stay open on desktop no close button need drag & drop back to widget bar to close (feature of all samsung phones?) #4 - no games, one or two would be nice when one needs to pass the time, there will be none for this platform/phone i guess. all in all it's great but just feel like it's an abandoned project of sorts as there are no additional new content for it unlike other phones.

msg memory is 500.....total i guess.......vibrator function is very bad......u can't put it off using profile settings........u can turn it off through vibration feedback in phone settings.....once u do that....there will b no vibration.....neither when u receive a call......nor when u r using the mobile.....!!! This set is superb......but vibration functions are disappointing....

I can play high quality video by converting it into 320x240 frames, and i can watch the video clearly and without any problem. maybe the problem is not on your phone but on the video that you're trying to play.

samsung corby s3653w is way better than b3410w. i knew it pretty well because i am using b3410w and my boyfriend is s3653w. s3653w is capacitive while b3410w is resistive. if you don't really need a querty keypad, go for s3653w. if you want a querty phone but affordable, go for b3410w.

Just got this phone yesterday, so far, im still trying to work on the querty. 1. querty keyboard is not very easy to press. buttons are small that sometimes you don't know if you have already pressed it or not. 2. touchscreen is RESISTIVE. so for all capacitive-lover users, don't go for it. 3. there is sometimes a bit delay in using the touchscreen. like in typing sms or scrolling up and down. unlike my boyfriend's corby s3653w which is capacitive. when it comes with performance, corby s3653w is way way better. but it's only advantage is the querty keyboard. anyways, i just got it yesterday, so i am not used to it yet. perhaps i can make myself comfortable with this resistive phone. if you guys know how to improve it's performance, and how to get a video converter so i can play movie, and a document editor so i can edit my ms word docs, please let me know. tnx!

Nope, phone has no problem but sometimes it's slowing down in the main menu or writing something while using physical keyboard. If you like to write fast on the physical keyboard, you might be dissapointed. I use music player, on any phone. But I hate Samsung's phone players. In B3410W, you can't see the last listened, or now playing song on the song list. It's not easy to access. By the way, sometimes it's closing network widgets (facebook, twitter etc.) because of low memory. And it hasn't got 3G. GPRS is really slow dude. Make your choice :)

I have this phone and it's AWESOME, the problem is that you dont get its data-cable with it. And the touch-stick (or what-ever it is called :)) But it is really a wonderful cellphone, you gotta have it ;)

I am a die-hard fan of the STAR. It is a very stylish phone. I wonder why Samsung doesn't come up with a QWERTY version of the STAR. Yes, CORBY PRO is there, but I just don't like the entire CORBY range. It would be great if we had the CORBY PRO in the exact same shape of STAR WI-FI with a Stylus, 1500 mAh battery, wi-fi, 3G, 5 mpx camera with 30fps recording, at least LED flash & auto-focus (ok even 3.2 mpx will do), Hot-swappable External Micro-SD card slot and Orkut added to the SNS. If they can give a SUPER AMOLED screen much better. Ok thats all, I am asking too much.

Just bought it last night - Lovely keypad to look at and use, backplate looks really cheap, takes a bit of getting used to because you've got the qwerty keypad And the touchscreen - Case to point, when I was registering w Orange over the phone and it was asking me for numerical input, I flipped open the keypad to get to numbers and it went into messaging mode, lots of confusion later ended up having to talk to a person (imagine!) to finish registration. Haven't tried camera (2mp deffo low end for the £, and video is qvga @12fps - what's that about?!), mp3 and radio all sound pretty ok.

i was buy this phone but it is not a good phone overall. expecting Qwerty keypad and mp3 sound..FM sound was not bigger...comparison to this u can prefer to buy nokia 5230 with larger screen and extra facility...

Hi, try using tunebite and convert any type of video to 3gp format not mp4, even "locked" videos from itunes and amazon, when using tunebite go to options/save and direct the output folder towards your microSD card that goes in your phone, hope this might help. P.S.,Try getting tunebite full-version not the demo. The demo got very limited capabilities.

The only thing that's lousy about Samsung fones, they never allow you to have more than 500 text messages, only on their smart fones. At least Nokia and Sony have unlimited text messages.

don't buy this phone. the qwerty board is like a cellphone toy keypad. its rubbery YUCK! even if they put autofocus on a 2mp!? it's still nonsense.the 2.6'' resistive touchscreen is irresponsive and laggy. better buy 5230 for having GPS and 3G or 5630 xpressmusic with HSDPA and HSUPA, wifi, 600mhzProcessor. You'll surely suffer from this one.

The non-wifi version B3410 costs $155 in my country so this should be around $30 more expensive according to typical Samsung pricing.

If you're after the looks plus wifi, this is a good choice. It's more conservative than the corby 3510. The 3410 is priced at Php7,400 as of January 2010. Maybe this wifi edition will be somewhere at Php9,000. Not bad for a decent phone. I'm considering having this phone. I like the sliding qwerty keyboard and touch screen. Hope it's battery life is good.
