Samsung D810 - User Reviews

  • I absolutely love this phone. recently switched over to tmobile blackberry flip phone..had nothing but problems it since i bought it...sure miss my samsung phone..i am ready to pay the 200 to get out of my contract to go back and use my samsung, easiest phone ever, no dropped calls, easy to make a rec calls, take pics, retrieve messages, texting whatever..it was great and i never thought a phone could mean so much..i miss this phone.

  • great phone, dropped thousands of times, no damage, only thing is that i dropped it on corner of desk and the front mini lcd is blurred bubt i got used to it and can tell the time from some images. still a great phone =]

  • This is my 3rd samsung. never had a problem. this phone has been dropped , in the rain, never died. samsungs are the best. just wish they were more sleak & as sharp looking as the razr's. also need more colors.

  • This is a great phone, the settings are easy to use, the moveable camera is really cool, even though it is only 1.3 megapixel don't let that fool you, it is a pretty good quality camera, even has a flash, amazing memory as well.

  • legit phone

  • yes this is the a900.

  • Even though the battery is drained really quickly no matter how you use the phone, this is my absolute favorite phone i have ever owned. The battery life can be extended by putting the phone on power save mode. The volume of ringtones is really loud and you can always hear it. The one thing that makes this my favorite phone is it's durability. I CAN NOT break this phone, not that i'd want to. I have dropped this phone hundreds of times and the only damage it sustains is the black paint coming off. Hell, this phone even survived being dropped in the lake, with a day or two to dry off of course. Overall i would reccomend this phone to anyone looking for a decent calling and texting device.

  • this is A900 in the u,s.

  • I hate it. The battery is sucked up in no time, whether you use the phone or not. It didn't come with a disc and my computer is not recognizing it to install it as new hardware...therefore I can't download pics! My old samsung wasn't like that! HELP!

  • Dear somebody, you're wrong. The Bell Mobilityis the CDMA version of the phone, and it's different. Look at the name of the phone - Samsung D810. The Bell version is the A900.

  • this phone sucks, it drops phone calls, low battery. i hate it

  • margaret, just so you know, its already out, and bell world carries it. i have one. its awsome. i got mine for free on a 3 year contract. for a great fone like this, its a great deal!

  • When is this phone coming out and who is going to carry it???

  • its okay but the d800 is better

  • the speaker volume is sub-standard. not loud enough when driving or walking outdoors.

  • i love this phone its the bomb i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You can convert the mp3s to AACs. This will put 3-4 more songs on your phone.

  • Hey does anyone know how to make your phone hold more MP3 songs?

  • It is a great phone ive had it for ages but it rocks and it hasnt given me any problems

  • Its a good design, but does the USB port work well for a computer? I hope the CDROM is attached with it?

  • There is a big problem with this phone it does not let you share pictures and music with any computer and where can i get the CD rom for the phone.

  • Available at cellhut.com for a disgusting price of $450. Outrageous!

  • this is never gonna come out is it?

  • u CAN use ur own ringtones and pics and everything. u just gota upload them via SMS. so fidn a site that allows u to send music/pics/videos, then u can do everything. i got my ringtones/pics/and games that way.

  • didn't like how you can't use your music from the comp as a ringtone...or even pictures..i think thats the only fault..than again i'm with bell..but i love this phone!

  • Seol Gong Chan uses it in "My Girl".i'm also finding it,but it says coming soon.Go for LG cu5oo.they are nearly the same, but LG is better.

  • I got this phone is the same that the SAmsung a900 (Blade) Sprint have it, but this use SIM CArd and mine is normal dont use the SIM.

  • when will this phone become available in the philippines? im so desperate looking for this phone! Samsung hear me please!!!! By the way, this phone also has korean version sch-v740 aside from a900. this is the phone used in most of the korean dramas this year. it was used by "rich" characters in the dramas i saw. hope it will be released in the philippines. GO SAMSUNG! Kamsahamnida ^_^

  • I'm waiting for this phone to come out in Singapopre...i thought the status is coming soon? How come some people use it already..

  • looks nothing liek razr. i just don't see it. looks much better in person.

  • they always gotta copy razr even dough i like nokia

  • I heard this phone will never come out in europe.

  • I tried the A900 thru Bell. Great phone with beautiful features & way nicer than the RAZR. Only knock is that Bell has blocked the ability to download pics, music, or ringtones, etc. except thru their own site and you have to pay for each download. Sent the phone back but will definitely pick up the D810 on my Fido account when the Chinese shops bring it in.

  • have the phone and like it but have trouble downloading the pix to computer. hope anyone who knows how to do it will let me know. thanks jr

  • Im a mac user, does anyone know if I will have trouble loading my mp3's onto this phone? I'm a little confused as to how most people load their music collection onto thier cell phones. Is it usually by software or are the phones used like flash drives?

  • they have it up here in canada

  • This phone seems awsome and has the best features. yeah it looks like the RAZR but i think it's better. The only problem is is that Sprint is the only one that is carrying it and T-Mobile, i highly doubt, would consider this phone.

  • this phone is also referred to as the Blade, and is much better than the RAZR, hands down.

  • it's not fair living in canada...when are all the good phones going to come?? I bet the razr maxx isn't going to be here for at least another year or more!!!:@

  • Terry haven't u noticed that in canada the names of the samsungs phones are a bit different? like this phone is actually the a900 not the d810. And for the list of all samsung phones i never saw the a900+ series. ANd those are good phones.

  • This phone is now available in Canada. Throughout Bell stores..

  • This samsung was released as the Samsung A900 in CDMA form for the Sprint network not long ago for those who ask. The D810 shown above is a GSM form of the phone that will become released shortly. Because of the popularity with the CDMA version, the GSM version will be available for GSM carriers. As of those who think that this was a copy of the razr: this phone was released in Korea as the V740 little before the release of the razr. It was actually Motorola company executives that had saw the concept in a show months before, that they created the razr based on Samsungs plans in order to compete.

  • first of all, samsung's product is similar to razor V3, but it has WAY more qualities! I think samsung made a perfect product for all to use, it is more comfortable and simpler. Korea rules! because samsung does. -korea rules-korea rules-korea rules-korea rules-

  • this cell is same looks like razr but you have not inserted the other pics of this cell so plz add other pics also thanks

  • this phone is way cooler than my last phone "nextel i530" it bites i like this phone way better and it is a lot cooler than the razer because i had a razer and they break a lot easier so i give it a 9/10

  • I am considering this as a replacement for the Razr I've got. This has more features and, based on past experience, the user interface will be better. Moto batteries are awful (the cheap Moto work cell needs a nightly charge, the Razr is not quite as bad), Moto's user interface is dysfunctional by design (although better when purchased unlocked). Razr looks nice, but the hardware is flimsy and the software seems like a high school programming project.

  • this phone sux as much as its cdma brother(A900). battery is horrible, speed isnt what it should be. Stick to motorola

  • In US the wireless company called Sprint offers the same phone to the market, but the model is called A900 (included 3G).

  • Not much in terms of features when it compares to the razr. Battery life sucks and songs are a huge hassle to download. The Razr still has huge advantages over this phone. like bluetooth, an S.D. card and ease of use when it comes to downloading songs for listening or for adding them as a ring tone...Thumbs down for me.

  • The battery life sucks. Thats the only thing that is wrong with this phones. If samsung improve the battery life, the phone would be a 10 and the razar couldn't touch it.l

  • samsung is one of the strongest phone we have in this word it is effective and beautiful and it is long lasting as well so i will like the producer to keep it on that is my comment Thanks Prince felipe

  • this samsung D810 is ultimate it is selling too much and i augustine like the model it is very strong and it can cash service easily so i so mnuch love it

  • Ive had this phone for about a month or 2. It's great. My friends all have the razr and we compare my phone and theirs all the time. Most of the time my phone usually comes out on top. The only thing about this phone is how complicated to media player is! I can't figure it out.

  • The battery life was terribly misrepresented for this phone. You have to charge it constantly. It seems like looking at it drains the battery. Also, the volume can't be adjusted loud enough, especially with the bluetooth headset. I may look into my options for taking it back. It does look good.

  • Aparently there is no GSM version of Samsung A920. Peosonally it looks quaite ugly to me compared to this phone model(A900). But that one accept 512Mb card. If thats the issue then go for it.

  • I'm from the States, and we do know this phone as A900. At the moment I've debating between this phone and another Samsung phone (A920-don't know its abroad-equivalent and don't see it on this site); so I do have some questions regarding the A900's performance, so anyone w/ knowledge would be most appreciated. My main question is if the music can be transferred from pc or notebook, or does it have to be the carrier's music choice program. I have read that you can't set the music to ringtones, but I keep gettin mix info on that. Last question is really, how big is the internal memory. Oh, and an irrelevant question really, but this has a suffle option, right, just not on the pad? Thanks.

  • @Tom.. I'm from States too. Go check Sprint website or store. They have it as A900. But if you are looking to have a GSM version to work with Cingular or T-mobile then this is not available yet.

  • Sprint has this model as A900 (nick named Samsung "Blade"). It works on 800 and 1900 MHz CDMA networks.

  • where are you guys buying this phone? and are you guys sure that this is the Samsung D810, not another name? thank you, eric

  • the pictures go upside down some times this is corrected by pressing the volume key on the side while in camera mode. no need to return the phone just have to be smart enough to figure it out

  • i know how to download mp3 to this phone....because i am the master

  • I CAN'T FITURE OUT HOW TO USE THE DANG MP3 PLAYER!!! Will someone help me. I actually like got a mp3 song from my friend sent to me through bluetooth, but its in the wrong format or something so its not playing. If anyone knows how to use it please e-mail me. Thankz!

  • i already have it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guess Samsung is good in copy other brand design... but i own a D500... still ache me when the price slip so low. Which only means Samsung phone does not have re-sale value.. so whoever wanna own a Samsung, pls wait till the price drop to the lowest than purchase. The D500 is the 2004 awards winning phone and the price and drop till so low... i need not say more.

  • A lot of you do not know what you are talking about. It came out at the same ime as the RAZR as a different model and later the SAMSUNG company took that and made it to the D810 with a few changes. In reality, this is MUCH better than the RAZR and that is no an opinion. It is a fact, the specifications show that it IS better than the RAZR, not including the V3x. Read the specs and see for yourselves.

  • The features on the phone are great, but the fact that you HAVE to charge the phone EVERY DAY sucks. The battery life is terrible. If i do not take my charger with me to work or buy a second battery i guarantee it dies on me everyday!

  • to "Triva T" and whoever saying this is a copy, Samsung Lunched this design as V740 in Korea and the Official Press release was on the same day as of Motorola RAZR. Samsung lost it coz of poor marketing strategy i guess. Now after an year an so we see this coming up as D810 with a little bit of keypad modification and others. Check this link out. The Fact is Samsung releases their phones in Korea First. And it takes long time for the rest of the world to know it.

  • Ummm is it just me or have some ppl....(samsums) copyed the design of the Lgu880!!!?? I THINK THEY HAVE ITS LIKE THE SAME

  • very good features high speed internet 15 dollars streaming television 10 dollars (thru mobi tv requires download)wonderful screen ultra thin swivel camera with flash voice to text stereo speakers anyway this is the good part lacks reception and by the way i have try'd connecting a motorola bluetooth headset hs 700 and on connection was established anyway it lacks two major things however i'm usin

  • Used this phone for 1 week . Battery of this phone sucks and this phone loses network not only inside the house but out side also. May be something worng with the phone or sprint service i dont know that. This phone is good only if they improve its battery life. Has lot of features. Looking Forward for gsm Version of this phone.

  • good looking..............but same as motoV3 low memory there is no cardslot

  • the phone sux!!!! me an my brother just bought it an it does not work at all after u use it to take pictures it lose it motion to be right side up ...basically it up-side down now an i am on my second phone in 1 week it sux!!!!!!!

  • There was a good review of the Sprint version of this phone in the NY Times - said it was about 90% of the RAZR in terms of design but with much better software/usability. I tested the Sprint version - and overall, I liked using it. It worked really well with their EV-DO network (fast +200K connection). I decided not to go with it because of limited battery life and with that fact that using any phone on EV-DO as a data modem will not allow it to take phone calls (at least for now). Seeing an GSM/Edge version of the phone should be interesting - looking forward to trying this phone on Cingular if it becomes available.

  • looking like raza V3 too big, maybe it will do well.

  • nokia cell kills that!

  • thats hot

  • i`ve not seen it because it not launch in our country india but from this i can say that this is not good because it dont have memory card.thank u

  • total jock of the razr but with better camera...but that is about it. battery life is horrible, not surprised because apparently Sprint pick this one up. i saw this coming, seems pretty popular since its release.

  • thisphone is good but the battery life is kind of bad

  • This phone looks sweet...if it had better battery life then I would like it alot more...I'll see if I want to buy it when people give reviews about it.

  • sprint pcs version (a900) of this phone make costs so high to use. supposedly the phone's technology is better and faster for internet (which is a good thing) but it's just a rip off to make you pay more for your monthly phone service plan.

  • This phone has brilliant specs, but the design is a 90% copy of the motorolla RAZR V3. But this one looks more advance and modern, but a little big. Lets see what happens.
