slow phone but yes its veryslow although i would say it has a very low ip certification because i left it outside in the heavy rain for about and hour and all i had to get was a new battery ( £4 ) then it was good as new

Generally a nice phone, had it since October 2014 and it still works quite well. It takes a lot for it to break, definitely great me, since I'm not exactly delicate. The camera is pretty cool, though it's still quite bad. The colors are weird, too light, no wonder, because there's only about 200k of them detected. The battery lasts pretty long, though it's pretty average. While listening to music, it does wonders. It has no flash and no face detector, which is a giant minus, having to double tap anytime I want to hang up a call. Overall, worthy of it's price, but if you're looking for something that's for something more serious other than calls and text, invest a bit more money into something a bit better. I had a really nice time with that old fella, though.

Blue tooth does not work well in my car. Dealership says problem is in the phone. Continuously drops calls and then picks them up again. When the phone is in the car and on, it causes my car screen to go from "connected" to "Disconnected". Cut the phone off and the screen works fine.

I have had this phone for 3 yrs and haven't even thought of buying another phone, cause this phone is still working great! Recently, it fell and cracked the corner screen and shattered (in a protected case, but just caught the inside corner) and upset, cause this phone is a great investment and working on trying to fix the screen instead of having to buy another phone, hopefully after that it will still last another year or two! VERY IMPRESSIVE PHONE to last that long and no internal problems (just human error, lol).

I found a refurbished Ace on the Sraightalk website for $39. The new ones were $199 so still a relatively cheap phone and to make it a little sweeter, any purchase over $40 qualified for free shipping. So I figured if it didn't work well or even last very long, I still wasn't wasting a whole lot of my hard earned money. That was almost was 4 years ago now. I never did buy a case for it, and I have dropped it, not gently either, on some real hard surfaces including cement more than a couple/few times. It has only acquired a couple of minor superficial scuffs, but no major contusions and no broken screen. And it has never suffered one single anxiety attack, which is more than I can say for me. I use it constantly on weekends at home gaming, although I've had to uninstall one app to make room for a new one, storage is one of it's down falls and also that it had no flash. ...and yes I know I can get an SD card for more storage....and no I didn't get one. yet...can't do much about the flash. Maybe I just got lucky, found a diamond in the rough but I'm really surprised how good it still works to this day. Good job Samsung. I'm sold. There's is no other phone for me.

It doesn't take calls all the time. I'm elderly and have had some important deadly calls and did not get them. This is heartbreaking when it takes 2 days to get the news. You wouldn't like this happening to you. This phone is my lifeline and it hasn't helped me at all. I'd say a wasted 100.00. I've called numerous times and no help.

Ive had a galaxy ace style a year and a half with NO problems til a few days ago now it freezes turns off stops in the middle of apps etc and this phone is no longer made I was told to purchase core prime or grand prime since im a straight talk user in the mean time ive put everything dear to me on an sd card and am going to try a factory reset because even though its an older version I love this phone but will eventually upgrade.

I have a white galaxy ace style, and so far i'm stoked with it's performance, functions and battery life. I did find however, it was prone to "pocket dialing" even when the screen-lock was activated. That issue was remedied by purchasing a black leather "wallet type" cover/case. Plus side - the cover acts as a support (45 deg angle) for watching movies hands-free and is really quite durable. Negative side - the cover/case adds a little bulk in terms of thickness. I got the cover/case from a mobile phone accessory shop called "Mobile Fun" for around $20 (NZ). Personally i think it's a great value handset at $129 (NZ), although mine was a mint cond. ex-demo so i scored it for $89 which was even better.

Have you tried to make a call into this phone after it has been on and unused for over four and one half hours? (Samsung galaxy ace) It will send all your phone calls directly to your mail box. Total wireless replaced it once and the second phone does the same thing. Now they claim it is my service. My wife has the same service with another model and never does this. Now they ask me to dial *73 and then it works (until the next morning.) Was told twice that they would replace it the second time but they change their script every time I call about this problem. Would not advise buying this phone.

If it does not charge or is at the blinking state, it means your device has Soft bricked.. Yes it can be fixed. Google how to unbrick the Samsung galaxy Ace style, works for other phones like LG, htc, iphone, etc. Some phones when they do that it means they hard brick, no a hard brick cannot be fixed sorry!

If you're in any app right now then close it. 2) Open the phone app thing in the bottom left corner of the screen. 3) Tap the three vertical dots in the top right underneath "Contacts." 4) Press "Call settings" 5) Press "Additional settings" 6) Press "Call barring" 7) Press "Voice call"

It does have a call barring option. You can set it to block all outgoing calls, international calls, international calls except home, all incoming calls, or incoming calls when roaming. There are check boxes for each so I'm assuming you can set as many or as few as you want. This phone is super slow though so I wouldn't recommend buying it anyway.

if you look in the upper left hand corner of the screen you will see some icon (maybe 2 or 3)there, very small. Your phone is just reminding you something is there be it a text, something downloaded or anything else. Just swipe down and click on that Icon, whatever it is. It will vanish and so will the reminder! Good luck.

This phone will allow you to see PDF files...I don't know about office files. It has this pre-installed app called Polaris Office Viewer 5. I haven't tried viewing office files, but from the looks of the name I think it can open office files.

I have been very disappointed with my Samsung Galaxy Ace Style. When typing the keyboard selects other letters than I want & it takes ages to get things right. I have problems answering my calls because the screen blacks out and was so much happier with my former Samsung Galaxy. No progress with this one ... I shall use my old phone again.

This phone DOES INDEED have NFC. I know this because I have a SAMSUNG smart camera that uses the NFC to ""tag and go" (it sends the pics I take on the camera straight over to the phone when placed close together using the NFC interface.) Its an AWESOME setup, too!

It seems if you Install the straight talk account services app on your phone, it will keep turning on the wifi. I had uninstalled it.....and wow....working like it should. My Galaxy Ace Style is a CDMA phone that runs on rhe Verizon network. I livein a rural area with mire Verizon coverage. I LOVE this phone. Hardly ever turn my laptop on any more. Have not had ANY problems with it. I don't use the lock feature at all.

The RAM is divided into two parts. The operating RAM is 4Gb and the other is an emulated SD card (0). System memory, storage space for OS is 2.94GB from the operating portion. Apps are generally loaded into the emulated SD card of 4GB. I have an SD card added and routinely move all the apps that are moveable into the external SD card.

Power problems: If tasks are left running on the phone the battery will drain quickly as the CPU is constantly busy. Find a home page with some space and tap the Apps icon. Move to the widgets area and hold your finger on Active Apps 1x1 to move it to the home page. Return to the home page and after running things look in the box. If it shows things are still running, tap it and shut down the applications! If you can't connect to or won't be connecting to a wifi location for a while, turn off the search! The CPU uses power searching for something which isn't there! Add the app "Juice Defender" from the Google Play store. It will turn things off for you when they're not in use and the app is free.

The Samsung Ace Style is a CDMA phone (in the USA) running on the Verizon network. Data is normally from Verizon wireless but in out of the way areas it is from a roving ISP which TracPhone uses. For power off problems, try the following settings: 1. Settings, my device, lock screen and set screen lock to swipe, turn shortcuts off, change unlock effect to light effect and check help text. 2. Go to settings, my device, display, screen timeout and set for after 2 minutes of inactivity. Also turn daydream off. When the screen is off, press & release the power button on the right side of the screen. The phone will power on but you will need to swipe your finger across the bottom of the screen to complete the turn on procedure. There's also a complete tutorial of how to use the phone on the Tracphone site. Hope this helps you out.

Amazon has a superior case available for the Ace. Go to Amazon and search for the following: E-Time (TM) Samsung Galaxy Ace Style S765C. We bought two, one purple & one black, from their Armor series version. They came with screen protectors and stylus'. An excellent purchase. I love this phone and it has everything I could ask for except a magnetic north sensor. While it works fine with our two GPS programs (Aponia & Sygic) it isn't any good for geocaching. If you don't need that feature, this is the phone to own!

Walmart now has cases for the straight talk S765c.They are straight talk brand in the bright green package.They are not listed online.Its like a silicone case.Not a really good one but it will due till better ones come out.Seen black,blue,pink & purple.Its made for the S765c as stated on the package.

The Style is only $150 thru Walmart/Straight Talk. Cheap, considering features but is GSM...AT&T is seriously weak around here. Straight Talk needs a good CDMA phone but I'm guessing Verizon is raining on the party...

Well for the Wal-Mart $150. deal thought I was getting a good purchase..but after reading all the bs specs kind of feel duped.. no flash.. only 512mb of ram. and some other stuff.. I didn't expect much because its not a $400. cell phone.. but as an electronics consumer your leaving out quality things that the customer needs. and to actually design and ship it out with out the needed necessities is pretty sneaky and puts a bad taste in my mouth for Samsung.. I usually by HTC never had issues and always gave me everything I needed.. what is the converting message attachments too? I again feel duped this is a good phone for people who don't know what to do or how to use their phone to the max...will be leaving Samsung and going back to HTC.. glad to have found all the weaknesses from other members..thanks all.

BEST.PHONE.EVER. I have not had any "cheek dialing" I can access ALL the things I need to do (enable wifi, data, settings, GPS, Bluetooth, volume (mute,vibrate) JUST by the pull down menu. Then, there's a icon at the top right, that accesses hands free mode, airplane mode and power saving. The phone sounds good according to the people I've talked to on it (I've asked). I've downloaded apps, no problems with space. When the screen is locked, simply push the "home" button on the bottom middle, and then swipe the screen to access the phone. No more pushing the side button to do this. Textured on the back, so easier to hold. Front AND BACK camera. No turning the phone and trying to access the shutter button. VERY easy to use calendar, you can quickly access the months before and after without much trouble. If you push the side button when the screen is locked, the options to mute, turn off the phone, airplane mode, data network mode, and restart appear.

I have one and have never had a problem. you should use the phone for what it was intended for....to call and talk to someone else. The internet has never failed on mine, if you want fast internet, buy yourself a tablet or a net book, or even better! Buy a computer.
