For the cheap price I got it in, it's an okay device. After some software "tweaks" (turning off autoupdate in the Play Store, and replacing some Google apps with their Go versions), it is pretty responsive (I didn't test games though). Battery could have been better. Also, when you just configure this device, it comes with a LOT of Google apps not a lot people will probably use (although thankfully you can hide them or turn them off). Overall not bad if you don't overpay.

I am pleased for the use I received out of this phone. This was passed down to me & I have used it for at least 3 years. The camera quality is fairly poor but other than that it has been keeping up with my demands. The only other complaint is that around only 4GB are usable which is an obstacle if you'd like to download a wide array of applications.

I have had this phone for a while now, and it is not worth the cost. It has 8 gigabytes of internal storage, but only about 4 of it is usable. I have a tablet made by RCA made about 5 years prior that works better than this phone.

The internal storage is not enough now(only 8GB, actually less than 4GB available after the OS occupation). I have added a microsd card into the phone. I have moved the photos and some files into the sd card. But even for the apps usage, The internal storage is not adequate. How to move the app to the sd card? THX!

This phone sucks like honestly, the battery is shit. After 3 years, the battery lasts like 2 minutes after charging it to 100%. It takes like 5 minutes to load google chrome, and like even longer for other apps. I wouldn't recommend this phone to any of you people reading this so don't get this YETH.

I think it does deserve the bad reviews. But mine might be defective, or Google may be at fault for not ever stopping continuous Play Services updates that keep ever further overtaxing older phones. The resolution always seemed good to me, but yes not easy to see it in daylight.

The phone was eventually dying with my original battery at 70-80%. It just needs a replacement. Even with the lousy cheap new one it doesn't die until lower than 5%. The main camera I thought was really good, that is until it gets scratched beyond use. That happens merely from normal putting it down on anything, that isn't super soft.

Wow, after 5 years! Mine is intolerably horrible after less than 3 years. Glacially slow doesn't cover it. Main camera lens got scratched up & camera is not usable. I'm not hard on things at all, the display is still almost perfect. Lens sticks out, so you can't put it down on anything not super soft.

Extreme frustration- glacial is much faster than this phone. This is a low-end phone computer. Mine has always been unreliable and very problematic. It has serious system performance problems constantly. Generally used to require reboot every 48-60 hours; could be a lot sooner, or sometimes even a lot later. Lately though, it must be rebooted every single day, if I want halfway acceptable performance, half the time. With its hardware, and the manufacturer claims, you'd think it would run fast, but in fact it's always been slower than cold molasses, the majority of the time. Surprising the luke warm ratings on performance this site gave. Lately, it's most of the time it will keep you waiting for a response all day. Have to do something else for several minutes, come back when it's finally responded, for every little step. It has gone from bad to worse, to intolerably worse. It was actually defective from the start, and I should've done a warranty return. It has about every type of malfunction or failure regularly. It's always screwed up the home screen icons after almost every reboot. Bluetooth has frequent failures- needs shutting off and reactivating. Lately, it won't respond to Bluetooth commands most of the time, no matter how often it's reset. People constantly complaining they can't hear you on this phone. It has a poor microphone, with a lot of noise. (Lousy T-Mobile signal doesn't help either.) The small amount of time it's actually not having performance problems, it's pretty cool to use. Lately, that's hardly ever. I have noticed when the SD card is removed, performance immensely improves (I have many apps installed on it). Google Play Services is responsible for most of the increasing horrendous system performance problems, from what I can determine. Possibly I should try rooting, and force the heinous Play Services to only run an old and manageable version. I wanted to reflash the OS, but Best Buy couldn't get it to work, and didn't manage to try it myself.

I have been using this model: Samsung Galaxy Core Prime G360f for 2.5 years. POSITIVE:Basic functionality works excellent: sms and calls. It is the most important, because it is still phone. Battery is ok, I have to charge it almost every day. I noticed that photos are excellent at day-light and in nature. I am very satisfied with pictures which are made in nature, without any filter,etc. My phone is white color. I like how it is looks. It is small dimensions so it is comfortable for my hands. NEGATIVE: Well, I added external memory (16GB). I moved all pictures, videos,other files and apps to external memory. After that change my phone works faster. Front camera doesn't have any kind of light, flash so I can't take pictures in dark. I ignored upgrading to Lollipop, but at one moment i had to accept that change. If I install some less-known apps, there are pop-up boring ads. So I have to "clean" that. I think it is not problem related to device. If I use the phone for a long time, it heats,but it is not problem for me. It can make some ordinary photos, or I am not good photographer. They are not professional, but they are ok. (There are a lot of filters to made them better, I know that.)

Galaxy Core Prime is a pretty basic device. With 1 GB RAM and 410 Snapdragon processor, don't expect very powerful computing from this phone. I agree that this phone does not deserve the bad reviews it receives but it does present its own issues. Battery life can be a hassle due to poor battery optimization and forget about multitasking. Resolution and camera are nothing special and even for android users hoping to obtain better performance through root modifications, root is hard to obtain on models such as the SM-G360T and SM-G360T1. Although not good at heavy tasks, the phone will perform admirably if you are a person who only seeks basic phone functions and the price tag doesn't hurt at all considering its a budget phone.

I have been using this phone for the past 4 years. The phone is a bit lagging on occasions. Some applications crash frequently. And the battery dies at 30%. But, this phone is the only reason why I am planning to stay with Samsung again. When all my friends has had 4 phones already, I am still satisfied with this one phone. But, Samsung's decision to withdraw the option to upgrade android software from Kitkat to Lollipop was a big disappointment for me.

I admit, I was a bit skeptical about getting this phone when viewing the negative reviews... however I do not have the issues that others have had, and I use this phone solely for Courier apps daily/heavily. Not had any problems with this phone. I have not experience my phone battery dying out at the 30%, 40% ... not even at 15%.. as I said, I am a heavy user with these Courier apps along with Waze running at the same time, and other communication apps that I use. I will say that the apps may play a part on one's individual phone... I only use my phone for my purposes that I listed above... I'm fine with mines. Had mines since September of 2016 ... it is now August 8th of 2018.. Will buy another if I needed to.

Have had this phone for a year and a half, bought in Aug '16, still works fine. I keep the data and wireless off until I use them to save battery. I usually get a day and a half or more of charge with minimal use. Call quality is usually better than my wife's iPhone 8, but that may be a carrier issue. All stats are mediocre, I know, but it's all I really need so I'm fine with that. Plays lower spec games fine and has solid media playback and Bluetooth connectivity. Stream Youtube music occasionally over LTE, works fine. All in all, it's a solid phone without flagship bells and whistles (actually has some of those sounds if you want them, haha) and is a nice size to boot. I like it it and will use it for a while longer.

Very good phone. Mine came with KitKat, but updated to Lollipop (5.1.1) with no issues. My first died in the first year when I dropped it for the umpteenth time and the antenna connection broke. My second it still going strong after nearly two years. What makes or breaks this phone is a fast (faster the better so pay the extra cost) large capacity SD card (I've used 64GB, 128GB, and 200GB with no issues, although phone specs say up to 64GB), and a memory manager (I use Link2SD) to offload its very limited internal storage (8GB) to the SD card. Only issue I've had is odd inability to run Samsung Pay despite having the LTE model with NFC, although Google Pay runs just fine.

A good budget phone. Got it in 2015. Unfortunately after 2 years it got annoying and needed to give it away. Now I have an S8. If you plan to get a budget phone in 2018 go for other Galaxy phone. This one is just too old now. The phone has some cons: It's made of plastic so it gets dirty super easy. The audio is not amazing. It lags and opens apps very hard (but after several months of use of course).

Back in 2015 I got this from T-mobile as their base model for $100 and as it sits on the desk next me I must say its held up well. It isn't anything powerful especially by today standards it still is decently fast considering its age and specs. Of course I am not playing games on my phone because I mostly use it for social media. Obviously you can get the j7 now for a little bit more and its far beyond the core primes ability for only 50 dollars more (through T-mobile) if they even have it any more due to high replacement rate of base models. Only complaint is battery life span but since the cover comes of not really that big of a problem since you can replace it.

I received one as a Christmas gift last year and it was just okay. It started random crashing off and on for a couple of months and gradually got worse with other issues. Keyboard has an issue where you correct a letter it deletes every letter between the first and the one you corrected and the stock browser is outdated. Web pages sometimes don't display and I don't like the additional Google Chrome browser so I had to download one that performs and I also ended up downloading a keyboard also. The 1GB of RAM is also an aggravation. My 15 year old Windows XP computer that has 512MB of RAM outperforms it with the exception of YouTube on the browser. I barely run anything on here and the RAM usage runs at 90%. I tried out an identical model and it does the same thing but I didn't use it enough to know if it would occasionally crash but both phones have screen problems the main one being it types l when when you hit the backspace. I've only found it suitable mainly for calls and text. If you want it to run with any kind of speed don't add social networking apps especially Facebook. Just adding it only slows it down enough.

When I plug my Galaxy Core Prime into any USB port on my Lenovo laptop I get the following error message - "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it". My phone won't connect to my laptop. The phone charges thru the USB port(s) fine.

Hi guys to those experience 30% phone shut down well do this ,, .. 1. turn on your phone make it drain the battery 0% 2. Remove the battery pack then put back (repeat 2 times) 3. put it back the battery pack and charged at least 50% 4. remove the battery and use it, when you reached the battery to 20% 5. recharged your phone until 80% then use it normally. the battery back to its normal until you observed to its stable performance, charged to fully, NOTE: cause of issues ( Battery power saver always swtich on,,cause of battery program accurate or unstable, we can use this in thye right time, in purpose ) i hope this helps

I used to have this phone back in 2016, after my past one bricked itself. It's now the phone my brother uses, and it still functions perfectly. It's really good for its price, nothing out of this world. The camera is fine (waaay better than my past ZTE). My only problem was with the storage, as 8GB wasn't enough for me, but that's a matter of preference. And sometimes it was a bit laggy, but, to be fair, I did use it to edit videos, and let's not forget it has 1GB of RAM. Also, I loved customizing the UI of this phone. It's the only thing I really miss. TLDR: It's good. Good enough.

I got this for like 99USD new in 2015. It's now late 2017 and I am only just getting the need to upgrade. The main reasons being a lack of support for apps and the phone becoming quite slow with the small amount of RAM and the ever increasing memory demand from apps. Fantastic buying at that price point. Had a Core Prime for 2.5 years. Still going strong and expect it to for years. Android is a very basic O/S but then the later versions are still basic so it's a matter of degree. Unfortunate about troubles others are having but why would anyone expect a 3-year old model to be the latest and greatest? It's big thing was its very extensive 2G/3G/4G band coverage, features and performance versus price 3 years ago. It's band coverage is still as good as any but other things have moved on Amazed that it's still up for discussion on its merits in 2017. That must be a measure of longevity, surely.

This has been the WORST phone I have ever laid my eyes on! It has ZERO space; I have to delete my cache just to check my email (that was when I could check my email). I don't have many apps but have had to 'Make the cut ' numerous times just to save a picture; ONE picture... It also shuts off and restarts whenever it feels like it. It also stops apps that aren't even running. The phone will momentarily freeze and then a message will pop up that says, "Unfortunately, 'this app' has unexpectedly' stopped'". At which point it freezes anything I'm doing until I hit 'ok'. At which point I always say, "yeah, that is f*$@ing unfortunate!" and hold myself back from throwing the phone, aggressively, into my brick wall... Let it be known, I am a relatively go-by-the-flow person. Or atleast I was until I got this god-foresaken phone... Please, do you self a favor, and DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!

I've had mine for almost 2 yrs, same battery. I'm on social media all day, I run the battery down to 10% and then charge it. I also restart it and I use CM Light to clean it from junk, etc. I just wish it was 5.5" now that I've seen bigger. Oh, I move Photos and over 200 books from Kindle to my SD card, I have an 8GB and not nearly full yet. I run it on WiFi rather than data at home as I don't get good reception at my house.

I got the phone when it came out in 2014, and it has been highly reliable. It was really powerful back in 2014, of course now it is outdated. But regardless, I had upgraded from a Kyocera Hydro, and it was a huge improvement. Anyone who grew up with dial up will appreciate that this phone is not nearly as slow as people are saying. I can easily use GPS and browse the internet no problem. It does run out of space fairly quickly at only 8 gb of storage. I didn't know it only had 1 gb of RAM, because I can run multiple apps, like photos, facebook, messenger, text messages, phone calling, even games in the background no problem. I've enjoyed this phone, but it may be outdated to consider at this time in 2017.

I've had my phone since summer of 2016. Ever since I took my phone in an underwater case diving with me, the built in mic has been really fuzzy. I can still hear everything fine, when I try to record myself or call someone or voice text I have to yell for any noise to be heard. When I call someone I have to yell at my phone for the other line to hear what I'm saying, I can still hear the other person but they can't hear me. plz tell me whats wrong with my phone and tell me how to fix it cause it's really getting on my nerves.

AKG ear buds, to tell you my honest opinion they sound like the ones of the old days, transistor sound. The ones that came with the Edge 7 are rich in sound, low, middle and high tones. Also you get more volume. For new ear buds I would get the Edge 7 ones as a foundation to make them better.

Hi guys. I have been using this phone for a year and a half.. After switching from Mini II this phone worked and still works as a charm. Yes, there are a few freezes etc, but this is an entry-level smartphone so its okay. However i've got 1 problem. When my battery is below 18%, touch screen will start to lag and be unresponsive, its gonna do things on its own. Sometimes, phone dies at 28% and i have to put it on a charger in order to turn it on.

This phone is a budget phone, so expectations shouldn't be set too high. We got it so that my Mom could get an iphone from Costco and get the cash back or discount because it needed to be a new account only and she already had one with Verizon. By adding me to her account, that qualified for the iphone discount and we got this as a cheap one for me. It works fine if you just need a phone, nothing fancy and not much storage space, but it does suffer from some design issues that are likely to make me upgrade. First off, the touch screen is way too sensitive. It is always activating and opening apps just by being in my purse, which can affect battery life, and also has some poorly placed buttons on the side for power and volume that seem to always get in my way whenever I am trying to take a picture or perform certain tasks which are interrupted by my accidentally pressing the power button or volume control just trying to hold the phone. Also I find that the touchiness of the screen has the unfortunate side effect of constantly turning my phone to MUTE causing me to miss calls because I don't hear it ring. I really wish it had a way to attach a wrist strap, but that seems lacking on a lot of phones these days. I sometimes have weird issues with the text messages not coming through when sent, and the signal for calls is often weak, but that is more an issue with my location and Verizon than the phone, I think. The camera could be better, too. I actually carry a sharp Aquos that I have no service on just for taking pictures because that one does a much better job of it. Once or twice I have had it freeze up on me for some unknown reason, but a restart has always put it right again. But it seems quick enough that I don't notice any lag that would cause me to complain, so if you just need a basic phone, it should do well enough. I only paid 25 bucks for it, so I can't really complain.

I'm having all of the same issues. This is the worst phone I have ever had. Also probably 5-10 times a day my screen goes black, and none of the buttons do anything, and then the screen will illuminate and show the image of the lock screen only the numbers aren't there. Nothing is there, and it will continue to go black, and then show the lock screen until I pull that battery. It also seems to not send my calls. (Call not sent) error message. I have been using this Phone for a little over eleven months with no issues. I dont do alot of surfing the net with it. i use it to take pictures and text and talk. Its main use is with WhatsApp. It gets used hours on end with phone there and messaging. It has functioned well for the purpose i have used it for with no issues. i still use the same battery it came with and still get many hours of use. I do let it get down to atleast under 15% before i put it on a charger. Most of the time 5% or under.

Me and my sister each bought this phone from Walmart approximately two years ago. All I can say is that I'm less than dissatisfied with it, and I know she is too. Let me give a list of problems: dropping calls, random loud beeping noises, freezing, shutting off randomly, charging takes forever and when you take it off the charger the battery drops right away, the battery gets hot as soon as you unlock it, there is very limited storage available, photos fail to save all the time, each time I do a software update it destroys all of my photos (to be more specific, I recently did a software update with my SD card in, and the phone changed all my pictures into solid gray "pictures"), battery life is TERRIBLE, apps fail to open, multimedia messages fail to download (yes, data has been turned on), my sister's phone screen became detached a few days ago (all she did was pick it up), something in the screen underneath is broken and now we have rainbow bubbles under our screen, "Samsung device has stopped working" happens every couple of minutes, as well as "system ui has stopped working," and there are many more problems. Overall, I'd say it's a cheap phone and not to waste your money. There are plenty better options for similar prices.

The only problem I have with this phone is the battery. I charge it all night and it has 100% power. Then after ive taken it off charge it drops to 95% straight away. Ive got no apps now, no space for them anyway but the battery drains so fast. If I use the phone for 10 minutes the battery drops to 50% before it starts going all messed up, not responding etc and then it goes off. If you use your phone a lot then this is definitely not the phone for you because 20 minutes of battery time is not good enough no matter how much you pay for it. I've had a look whats using the battery and it says screen 7% chrome 2% android system 1% and cell standby 1% so where is the other 89 % going? Not good enough samsung.

Less than satisfactory. Have had nothing but problems since day one. Many dropped calls, freezing, screen blackouts, loud beeping noises during calls (annoying!), #pad sticks. Requested and rec'd replacement phone, but same thing. Does not hold a charge. Original charger died after 6 mos. Only good thing is the camera - great pics. Would not recommend.

I bought my Galaxy core prime 12 months ago tommorrow, it has been nothing but trouble from day one, I can be in the middle of any operation, eg, phone call, texting or gaming, and it just shuts down of it's own accord. two months ago it was returned to Samsung Espana under warranty, it came back five weeks later, and it still has the same problem, the repair sheet tells me that, they changed the Jack, Battery and Actualization. Tomorrow I shall attempt to get some kind of re fund against a new phone by a different manufacturer. Never again!!!!

I really don't get all of these terribly negative opinions! I'm using one rn, have been for a couple years. For the price I paid at the time (120€) I'm very happy. It runs mostly smoothly, and once you get a good SD card you can install a good number of applications on. It runs several application at time well. Sometimes while using certain applications that put too much stress on it, might crash the app/restore bg to default, but it's really no biggie. Camera takes decent photos. When memory starts being too faulty, I reset it to factory settings and am good to go again! Yes, it's not a top-tier phone. And today just by paying a little more you will find stuff that is much, much better! But I found this guy to be resilent, well balanced and all-around good for someone that, like me, doesn't ask too much from their phones. If I had to change it today I'd go for another though, unless they put this on sale for less than 100€.

Well, I like phones when they serve their purpose and you don't really notice much. With this phone, all I did was notice. I returned my metropcs alcatel as it was no longer working. my mistake was dropping a cappaccino on it. So, in they give me this Gallaxy Core Prime. Within weeks, I was hearing beeps like I was dialing, only, I wasn't dialing. So, I sent it over to company to get repaired. They gave me another. I could not be heard or hear anyone I called unless on speaker, every person complained about the way I sounded. I operated for months like that. IT shut down, and it froze alot.

Comes with okay storage that's useless because the automatically downloaded apps take up the majority of space so if you would like to take photos, you're going to need an SD card or it will not store much. The keyboard is buggy, the browser lags (regardless of cleared cache and history), applications often force close, and although the battery was nice at first, my phone battery quickly drains regardless of if I'm using apps or not. The only good thing I can say about this phone is that it's cheap and I bought it on Black Friday so I didn't even pay full price (i don't recommend paying full price since the quality is less than satisfactory). I thought it would run like most Samsung Galaxy phones but quickly realized that Wal-Mart affords even cheaper phones that run a lot better. There are constant low battery messages once your phone reaches 15% so I wouldn't recommend using it, it pretty much stays on the charger. Also, the charger that I purchased with it ended up dying on me after about a week. Would not recommend.

Even for a budget phone, this thing disappoints. It's terribly buggy, sometimes requiring a restart because the screen won't display properly. Not to mention this thing can barely run multiple apps at once, and runs like a snail most of the time. Coupled with the bad camera, bad battery, and poor resolution, I would suggest spending just a bit more to get something that actually does what you want it to.

Download from Appstore or Galaxyapps the CLEANMASTER (its free and one of best), install it and Apply (Junk files, than Phone boost). You will surprised how much hundreds MB occupied memory. This is by far the worst smart phone I have had over many years. I understand that it is a lower end, cheaper phone and can't expect to have the same features of a more expensive phone. While there are several minor issues, by far the biggest problem is the battery which runs down to 50% charge within about 5 hours and needs recharging by the afternoon. The phone is still relatively new (6 months) and I would expect more, though have just purchased a better Samsung phone.

This phone is not for playing silly games on - its for internet access for information e.g. weather, the news and wiki. Its takes great pics and handles Skype well. I once had this phone (sm-g361h )for 1 year..it is very good phone and fit on its price. For this phone, I'am truly in love with its camera due to high quality picture means you can shoot a photo whether you are not on static condition..it shoot really great eventhough it only had 5mp front and 2mp rear. Camera is truly satisfiying even in night..atleast you should use flash to get a perfect photo. The screen ppi on 213 like that but it doesnt bother me that much except when you're on outdoor..the struggle is real eventhough you max out it brightness..hahaha Some other things I want to complaint is..I can't use speaker 3.5mm jack..when I plug in, the sound that it make is slower and very f*ck*ng can't hear..i dont know why that happen..and secondly my phone had some issue on its screen where it keep clicking by itself..that really piss me off and had a very hard time using whatsapp app..thats all.. Overall this phone for its price perfect for light-med task only. You can play all games you want but for heavy games, it should struggle a little bit. Damn I wish I had this phone again..miss this phone..

There is an option in settings>more>mobile network> enable 3G,LTE if that's available, however 3G coverage depends on the availability on the area. If you are using a simcard from a different network contact metro pcs and have your phone unlock.

My Samsung Galaxy Core Prime model SM-G360V has been a great phone. I use it for everything. It has 4G and it has given me no problems.It doesn't have enough memory to download all the apps I like. Other than that it is a great phone for the price. I added a pin code for security but I was spoiled to the swipe mode to unlock my screen. I couldn't get it back to swipe and couldn't find anyone that knew either. I found out by accident so for those who want to know how to get back to swipe mode here you are. Go to Settings>lockscreen>screenlock Type in your code and it will bring the choice list up. Choose swipe and there you are. You don't have to turn off credentials or download any apps. I hope this will help someone in some way.

I've had this phone for almost a year and I've had the same freezing and hanging problems as everyone else. Don't know what you've got on yours, but if you've got Facebook, delete it. I uninstalled Facebook last night and my phone is running properly now. For whatever reason this phone hates Facebook and it just may be your problem too. The battery life sucks, the phone heats up, but this thing has survived being thrown against a wall (a few times) and dropped in a freaking bathtub.

After just 3 months the phone froze and would not allow me to even log in with a security code. I ordered a replacement phone which was refurbished and in less than 30 days the phone would not move pass the home screen. I just ordered a replacement phone, but I don't hold out any hope that this phone will be any better. The store from which I purchased it will not allow me to upgrade with a credit for the phone just ordered. Customer service at the store was poor. I had to pay $16 for each of the 2 phones and now I am being required to pay full price for an upgrade. My carrier is metropcs.

They run Lollipop now. They work well as a phone, and as a low end smartphone. Processor is OK. Gets hot rather easily. But it is most definitely a smartphone. Don't go bashing it because it isn't Top-of-the-line Cutting-edge Quad-core Super Ultra Mega Hyper App-cruncher 90,000. It's cheap. If you can get it for cheap, then that's what it's worth. It works. If you want more processing power, get a computer.

I honestly haven't experienced any problems with mine. I've had it for over a year with no freezes, crashes, or anything out of the ordinary. Great phone, but the 8 gig doesn't work for me. I can't have more than two apps on it typically before it says I need to open up some space. I do have to delete my search data for Google, clear the cache, and delete text threads somewhat often, but my phone runs smooth. But it really is a starter smartphone compared to others like the iPhones and the other galaxy phones. I'm gonna hopefully be getting a s7 soon. But as someone who is constantly using their phone, I must say, it does its job and it does it well. The life of it depends on the user and how they care for it. Just my advice, restart the phone every three days. It gives it a chance to breathe.

This is the worst phone I've ever had. The 8gb of memory does not last long. This is my second Core Prime in three months. The first one malfunctioned so they sent me this replacement four days ago. Already used up 65% of phone's memory. I have a 32gb SIM card installed, but phone saves everything to the internal memory. That's why I had to send the first one back. The memory was full, and it started shutting down for no reason. When I took it back to the corporate store, they told me that a SIM card is only good for pictures and music. REALLY? If you only use this phone to watch YouTube, then you'll be satisfied. Otherwise, you can probably find a more reliable and cheap used phone on the internet.

Phone works perfectly fine. Bought from Walmart about 5 months ago no problems. Gf and I bought 2 at the same time, mine had no speed issues at all and runs every app perfectly fine, whereas gf's was laggy from the get go until I factory reset it. Since then works perfectly. Would recommend a case and a screen protector, spent 20 for both and dropped it numerous times with out it breaking. Even fell out of my car going through the neighborhood and was just fine.

It can run Pokemon Go, but the phone lacks a gyroscope to identify its orientation, which means the AR (Augmented Reality) feature in Go will not work. A Prime also only has 1Gb of RAM, whereas Go reccomends a minimum of 2. The game can still be played, though. It just may run slower than you like.

Got it all set, upgraded to international and unlimited prior to leaving. 1st night out-London Ontario-phone quit! no serbvice whatsoever! Had the phone 1 week, worked fine, maps, etc. Got to just outside Toronto, Ontario-RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC and new phone did the same thing. Made the rest of my 2 week trip without a phone! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! This phone did the same thing as the 1st and 2nd ones,-3 phones in less than a month! I hate this phone purchased it from MetroPCS. It's a piece of crap. Can't use facebook, calls drop. When able to make a call the person I'm taking with can't understand me. I been back to MetroPCS 3 times just to be told nothing is wrong with the phone. I've called MetroPCS 2 time just to have a tech walk me through steps to resolve my issues. That didn't work. Had this phone for a year, the quality is shitier than the one I had before (Galaxy Y Young -lasted for 3 years) After just 6 months of purchase I accidentally dropped my phone around 1 feet high and since then I've had to factory reset twice, loosing all my temporary stuff (luckily I have a habit to backup every month), my SD Card port/driver stopped working, so I'm using just the internal memory....and it overheats like crazy. FMR Memory cleaner is an APP on google play. Run the app, tap "clean". Doing this may lock up or cause your phone to hang. Worst case scenario you will have to take the battery out and put it back in. Power up phone. Run the app and clean again. The RAM in this phone needs to be tempered it seems before it will run optimally. once this is done a few times the "lag" issue is resolved.

you have to close each window after use, and exit all apps the right way you can not minimize them you sign out, exit, close ect. add some memory to it that helps. try not run to many apps at the same time and give it a couple of minutes to think. if you want to do alot of work get an os with a quad core.

I went in and got the phone reset, but even then it acted up. If you're planning on getting this phone, don't.. It's not so good, there are other phones way better. Ive had this phone for a year and i have had a lot of problems. Lets start with the camera. after 6 months, my back camera has started acting up. First, it failed to work, unless i restart my phone. then 3 months ago, my front camera started stop working. Then, the battery would die when it reached 12% Upgrading from KitKat to Lollipop was a terrible mistake. Super slow, crashes a lot, and over all, not that great. This was my first time using a samsung phone so my opinion on ALL samsung phones is undecided.

Great phone if you're looking mainly to loom up things, text, and call, but not the best for gaming or to do anything that requires a lot of space/energy.

Do not do your updates. It'll eat up your memories due to this phone's storage. Also, this is only a basic model. The battery is running out very fast! Turn off your apps in order to save energy and put it on power save mode.

This is honestly a giant piece of crap for a phone. I couldn't even make phone calls without it twitching out and lagging so bad that I would basically have to reboot, and this was without any apps on it aside from what it came with. I would SERIOUSLY consider something else. You cannot play Pokemon Go on it, it just is not capable of processing that much at one time, despite it meeting the specifications otherwise. I used this phone for 8 months. The first week it didn't seem to be too bad, but after that first week I could barely do anything on it. The one up-side to this is that it is pretty indestructible, I dropped it quite a few times without a case (cheap phones don't get cases, IMO). And the battery lasts quite a bit of time. But considering even the basic functions took this phone quite a long time to process (messaging, email, browser, phone calls), it's highly reccomended you avoid.

Yes it will run...I have the phone myself and I have the game.But it does not support the augmented reality.That means you cannot use your camera to catch pokemon.But if you disable the ar,you can still catch pokemon and with the ar disabled you save up a bit more of your battery

Purchased this model several months ago through Straight Talk. It worked great for a few weeks. Then it said: "Mobile network not available." I called Straight Talk, after an hour on the phone, they decided the phone was faulty. (This leads to a side rant on Straight Talk who will replace your phone...but they send you an empty box for you to send the broken phone which they will need before they send the new one. Takes about 25 days!) I got my new phone today. Same model. It worked for about 10 minutes. Now it's back to the same error as before. The core was garbage. It would not connect unless next to router, turn wifi off and it was slow as shit. Messages constantly failing incoming and outgoing. I ended up smashing the thing for an On5. Waiting to see what surprise this might bring me, already not liking it either as it to downloads slow.

Really is a good phone - no issues. Once you've updated to Kit Kat it works really well. I've used it for 12 months and Had some issues when it was on older software (Pre KitKat) but none since updating. Good camera, Good battery. Dont' do a Lollipop update - it really buggers with the performance.

I am on my third replacement phone. Two refurbished one brand new and they all have the same problems. you touch the screen and it sticks for a good three to five seconds before it goes. Sometimes I pick up the phone and it's on a screen I never opened. Working with a gps is worse. You never get directions on time. Don't waste your money. You get what you pay for. Even if I use a pattern screen lock on this phone it unlocks itself when a sms is received. This becomes a real hassle when the phone is in my pocket as it plays havoc and finally I have to restart the phone. Could someone tell me how overcome this problem. Mine overheats a LOT and is VERY slow and laggy. Its a great basic phone, but more than a couple of extra apps makes it almost impossible to use. The battery life is not all that great either. My suggestion, its a great starter phone, probably not a bad idea to buy a mini sd card when you purchase the phone so you dont get slow laggy performance like this

This phone is absolutely a disgrace. At that price range I was expecting so much better but I just got dissapointment. The battery life was fine for few months then after few months the phone will not hold it's charge. The screen is shockingly bad. When outside I am trying to phone someone I can hardly see the phone and even when the brightness is up fully the phone still is hard to see. The sound from this phone is a disgrace. I couldn't listen to my songs as the volume is just too low and it is the same when trying to talk to someone. I cannot believe that Samsung would put this phone out there when it is clearly meant to get replaced after 3 months. I have never seen as much of a bad phone as this one and I have been through bad phones but this is by far the worst. I will not recommend this phone to anyone as this phone is not even average it is sublimely an absolute trash of a phone. I would rate this phone 0/100 as it is sublimely trash.

I had the same problem a matter of hours after buying the phone. I did my research and ended up Downloading 360 security off the app store, once i downloaded "360 security" all my junk files got deleted, about 1.3gb of storage opened up and my phone was instantly significantly faster, i still regularly use the app to boost my device. Samsung (or my carrier) kinda dumbed down the OS on this one. A lot of features are gone, like flashlight shortcut in the notification menu. It doesn't even have a built in compass! Other than that its okay i guess.

I have used AppMgr III (App 2 SD). It worked pretty well but not all apps can be moved to the SD. There are a lot of apps that will do this, you will have to search for one that is compatible with your device by searching the play store for move app to sd card

This phone is terrible. I have less than the average number of apps and phone is already 2/3 full and running sooo slow. Comes loaded with a bunch of junk you dont need and cant remove. The speed was never 4G. Apps freeze constantly or shut down. The screen and camera quality are abysmal. The touch barely registers in the corners of the screen. This is no great deal, you get exactly what you pay for here.

I like this device a lot...I installed a 32gb sd card and have all my game data go there instead of the internal memory and that keeps it moving fast and smooth. I just downloaded an app that lets me move my files to the sd card.The picture quality is not bad but then I have a camera for that purpose. I have no complaints on this device and would recommend it for purchase...

I have this phone and u got it for $80. For that really low price, it works pretty good. I've had it for 7 months and it lags a lot when you're downloading an app and if you have too many apps running in the background. Definitely not an ideal phone, but it does its job most of the time.

This phone replaces a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and a Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite and before that I had a old iPhone. Positive: It works as it should except for two things. Negative: 1. minor, If I start the phone in an area without reception then Internet access does not work when I get into reception (town) again. Needs restart. Negative: 2. Major. This might be me but often I don't hear other people good if they have dark voices or if they are holding their phone to far away from their mouth. I compared again with my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and that one is better.

I replaced a Trac Phone with this model. What a mistake. The performance is awful compared with the cheap phone I had before. The call quality on bluetooth is awful and barely understandable. The touchscreen is numb, texting is a chore and the voice to text barely works. Looks like I'm stuck with this piece of junk for the duration of my contract.

I've had this phone since the first sat in November and mine does a similar thing. I can hear the other person but they can't hear me and I've got my own business and lost a couple clients due to this issue. It jumps from screen to screen when I'm texting and it's very frustrating and I'm not sure how to fix it so I'm looking into a new dif Samsung cuz Samsung is by far my favorite in phones. The keyboard problem can be fixed easy by just "Clearing Data" of your "Samsung Keyboard" in "App Manager" in "All" section and then the error of the keyboard will be fixed. If wasn't still fixed so you might clear the data of the app which have the keyboard problem. If the problem still remains you could clear data of your Home Screen from "All" tap in "App Manager" since it can help sometimes. If not after trying all these steps you would better factory reset your phone and everything will back to normal except your data which has been wiped during factory reset ;)

My phone is about 3 mos old. Yesterday, the screen froze up and I had to remove and reinstall the battery to allow for a reboot. After reinstalling the battery the keyboard failed to display for me to even be able to type in my pin. I have restarted it, powered it off and removed the battery numerous times and I still have no keyboard display. My phone is thus completely unusable at this point. Extremely frustrated!!

The first thing I do when I get a new phone is download a good antivirus app. I've only had to charge it two times in the week I've had it so the battery is pretty good. The batteryblife is terrible: it lasts less than a day with moderate use. Annoying glithes like that it often saves an empty draft after you send a text and then try to exit the text function. When you record a voice message on whatsapp, the message constantly stops recording as the icon seems to slip away from under your thumb. I never once had this problem on the iPhone.

You have to wait for the update to roll out in your country. If it has (which is most likely), then simple go into the settings app, tap about device (at the bottom) and then tap software updates. Make sure you're connected to the internet, then tap the update now button. If you aren't already using 5.1.1, then it will hopefully download the update and install it. If you are rooted, you will need to unroot before updating.

After 3 months in use i really recommend everyone to get core prime. I update to lolipop. Work fine with me. I am all day connected using 3G. I use a lot of apps and games. But i have a power bank battery 2600mAh to complete the day (around 14 hours ). Recently i have problem i can't share my 3G internet connection by WiFi using HotSpot. But WiFi is fine, cuz i can share contents and files and receive by WiFi. Also one of my friends has problem that his core prime ( dual sim ) doesn't support tow sim cards. Work few minutes then it shows some code error then showdown.

I'm a stay st home mom so don't really have money to buy new phone all the time this is my first new phone in 3 years so I was very excited to get it because my old phone had so many problems well soon as I got this phone I charged it fully to let drain fully that whole deal ur supposed to to well my phone gets really really hot when I'm not even using it like really hot and battery does within 2 hours after being fully charged I was so bummed becomes I loved the phone. Plus nothing from my sd card would transfer to phone no pics music n e thing just keep saying. Mount sd. So loving the phone but having all these issues I tooknphone back to Walmart to exchange for new one of the same. So I did that n got it activated and before I even left the store or so burning hot again asked the worker and said it's normal w these Samsung phones I told her that's not right. She said battery should hold up fine though. Well same thing happened fully charged n when I unplug it it does within 2 hours and stays very got to the touch about burnt my face to answer a call. I have read so many reviews. And no one has had this problem except me if n e one else had this issue plz let me know or tell me what u did to fixit. I'm guessing I need to go w new phone of different brand thanks for ur time

I bought one last Dec 2015 and so far I am satisfied. Although I found out in the box that the unit I bought is written that it is meant only for Arabia and African countries use of which I don't know what it means. At first my roaming SIM card from the Philippines did not work out, only the Arabian SIM card but when I went for vacation in Manila, to my surprise my Philippine SIM card worked at all without any problem and even when I got back to Saudi Arabia my Philippine SIM card is still working with this unit. Well this is my first Samsung smartphone and honestly, I like it because it caters to my needs without any glitches. Also, I can change the ringtones and notification sounds from my 2 different SIM cards. Overall, this unit works for me satisfactory.

This is a replacement for my galaxy ace 3 which was great. Definitely not a step up, lots of issues that make me want to throw it against the wall. The 1st point and most regular annoyance is the volume buttons on the side is accidentally touched very easily and therefore mutes the phone and as a result you miss calls. The galaxy ace and s3,s4,s5 all had volume buttons more recessed than this and worked fine. Freezing issues are quite common and have to remove the battery to revive it. Charger switches on /off/on/off........etc. Therefore takes an eternity to charge, definitely will not be getting another and would not recommend to anyone.

Now we all know that core prime's touch is very bad, camera takes time to focus and capture pics, touch becomes even bad while charging in many coreprimes, display color quality is poor and colors look washed out on core prime's display. There are much better options than this core prime. Core prime sells only for its brand value and average specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is my third smart phone. The first two were both HTC Incredibles, which I loved. This one is a big disappointment. I had heard so many raves about Samsung, I truly expected it to be a step up. At least once a day I find myself saying "I HATE this phone!" My biggest annoyance is the placement of the volume rocker switch. Every time I pick up the phone, I turn the ringer off, by accident, therefore, I miss most calls. The storage is so small that by the second week I had the phone, there was not enough space for updates. The camera is so slow that by the time the shutter snaps, the subject has moved far out of position or just gave up waiting! The picture quality seems pretty good to me. It is near impossible to see what you are shooting if you are outdoors and it is equally hard to see anything on the screen when you are outdoors. Also, I hate how it is really hard to find your photos. There are three icons for photos and they all have the same pictures. I am afraid that if I delete a folder I will lose those photos. I feel like my phone must be different from those that the other reviewers have. The phone service is quite good. Another of my peeves is that there are times I have to swipe six or more times just to gain access. There are a lot of apps that I would like to remove but can't. Now that all phone chargers other than Apple products have the same style charger, it's a real pain because not all those chargers will work in this phone and it requires charging a lot. I have four chargers around the house, one in the car and a portable in my purse. The predictive text is horrible. I selected this model because of the lower price and the smaller size. I do like the size. Having gotten my previous phones free with my 2 year Verizon contract, I certainly expected this phone to be better. I am very disappointed. I wish I had gotten the free iPhone 3 years ago when it was offered. I do have good internet and game speeds seem to be fine, but I only have a couple games. Another issue is that the notifications sound is the same for texts as for other things....I imagine that is changeable, but as with so many 'user friendly' things, it's only easy if you know how. It's probably an ok phone as a first smart phone but I wouldn't recommend it. My husband has the same phone as his first smart phone and he loves it.

On my g361f there is 5.1.1 lollipop out of the box so it looks like your model hasn't got the update.

Iam using this phone for one month and the only issue i faced is the heating up when playing games for long time and battery drains a bit fast when upgraded to lollipop. No other issues. I love this phone!!!. Thankyou

We are stuck with kitkat for this device g360h. There will be no lollipop for us. And all those who comment here that they got lollipop are fakes. There's no updates via ' over the air' either you check with wifi or with internet mobile data..

I just read the comment about the box saying my phone is 4G while I'm so surprised to realize that the screen top says 3G, so there's no way for it to get 4G. I never paid attention to see if it could change because when at home I generally use the wifi to save on data usage. I can't believe I paid this much for a phone because it said it was 4G when it's clearly not capable! Had it too long to exchange or return it now

I have had my samsung galaxy core prime for 6 months now and i havent had a single problem with the phone it has a great camera awesome battery usage and u can dowload all kinds of games, rintones ect the only thing that i got mad at with my phone is that it didnt have a game i really wanted its called episode u should play it

go to settings. followed by 'about device' and go to software update. click on update. when your wlan is on. You click on it then it will search and you will see the update lollipop then you update. Remember to do a backup of your contacts and your personal data. Thanks.

If you have had the S3 mini you definitely won't like this device. I would personally stick to the Samsung a. The calendar is not good, you can't easily if at all delete one event out of a series of events in the calendar and it's difficult to use compared to the S3. Unfotunately I have to keep it for another 23 months due to renewing my contract and being advised by WE this device was better. Honestly I would not purchase it.

Yes when you first get the SD card it has to create a table on it that is unseen to the user and will remain unmounted till formated and if it came out of another phone it will want to format it to becomes of firmware change between phones becomes of that hidden table. Max SD card you can put on this phone is 200gb. Rembert though that the bigger the SD card the longer it will take to format it.

Yes it's a good brand but had bit problem with networking.. my core prime's network wont be stable it go's up and off totally also it restarts it's self ..unusual and funny things am experiences

the battery life on this phone is terrible!! its extremely laggy when typing the phone freezes when exiting a video it still plays in the background and randomely exits whatever task or game your in the middle of! a really crappy phone
