HTC Evo 4G LTE - User Reviews

  • My phon will cdma service

  • I would like to ask, what if we will restore the phone to it's factory defaults. Can I ask just easily install the beats audio back, if not where do I look for the drivers? Thanks.

  • it is under the back piece that comes off near the top. It does have an SD card slot.

  • I believe its doesn't have SIM/RUIM card slot.

  • screen suddenly goes black for no reason most times when any network related operation/switch/modification. is done. For example, if u put phone in airplane mode/put on or off mobile network/switch between gsm & wcdma, the screen would go black. don't really kno y it does like that, apart from that, its a great phone anything. any day

  • it's not support other sim card.only support 4g sim card

  • i'm from indonesia ... eveery one need injection this phone or another phone which with cdma frequency.. i can inject it with this vendor : smartfren and flexy

  • Hi, I'm in Indonesia and use the phone like a charm. I asked someone that pros in injecting CDMA parameters into this phone. Those parameters can be obtained via CDMA mobile operator. ---------------

  • Officially updated to JB4.3 sense 5.0. No more OTA update due to changes on Disk Partition layout. Sadly, still no USB audio support :(

  • yes and yes

  • Hi, I'm in Indonesia and use the phone like a charm. I asked someone that pros in injecting CDMA parameters into this phone. Those parameters can be obtained via CDMA mobile operator. --------------- Yesterday I trilled to get an update, I assume the update is for JB 4.3 + Sense 5; but I was wrong, just improvement on WiFi stabilization. Get informed by mbah Google, the update will be arrived before end of year, let's wait.

  • Had Sprint before, never again. First HTC, never again!

  • I got my EVO 4g LTE - boost locked, november last year, but I wasn't able to use it right away. I tried to unlock it myself but to no avail, so I resorted to a third party, whom over rided the system. It worked for me. Although, the phone easily got old slow, I'm still glad I have an android phone to use.

  • you can use it but no text and call function, just wifi, just like Itouch.. :) btw, im from the philippines, and I have HTC Evo 4g LTE.

  • I have a cousin in the states who's going to send me an Evo here in Philippines that'll arrive maybe in a few weeks and i'm just wondering if i can use it here.

  • for hotspots you can download an app that does it. I use foxfi (pdanet+) on my rooted zte merit

  • With the exception of WiFi, phone will not work in Canada (Ontario). I've been told it will not work on Europe either. To bad, considering it has about every other capability.

  • This phone do anything what generally hi-end phones can. This phone is aged, but still the best damn thing on my phones collection expecially on the built and except for no USB audio support. After put Otterbox on it, the phone became rock solid built as a tank.

  • Can this phone be unlocked to use Straight Talk? Does this phone have HotSpot?

  • I just got this phone only a week ago and it just randomly shuts off in the middle of loading anything and when I turn it on there's a little error report that you have to send to sprint. That has happened four times in since I've had it. I'm bringing it back and getting the galaxy while I still got time cause I don't want to be stuck with this not so smartphone for the next two years. I would not recommend this phone.

  • how 2 format this hp???prob cnnot on the hp...TQ

  • how does one flash this to another carrier

  • i have a question about "HTC EVO 4G" it will not work on any GSM network worldwide , so if we unlock the htc evo 4g can it work for any GSM network world wide?

  • Great phone got mine flashed over to Verizon pre pay and service is way better than Sprint plus its only $50 per month

  • hey its showing 20k on ebay.in..could you plz send me d url or any contact no. of dealer

  • It's available in India, visit eBay.in. I bought it from there only at 18k, excellent phone works with Reliance

  • Worst phone I have ever had. Service is spotty and even having a signal booster in my house, which I have never needed with any phone on the Sprint network before, my chances of being able to carry on a conversation is pretty slim. Would not recommend it to anyone and cannot wait for my contract to be up so I can switch phones. Sprint has not been sympathetic at all.

  • hi team! im very excited with the phone and i wish to have it im leaving in Tanzania what can i do to get mine? Best Regards Badie

  • hi team! im very excited with the phone and i wish to have it im leaving in Tanzania what can i do to get mine? Best Regards Badie

  • That has nothing to d with the phone

  • I have seen the phone and played with the phone phone is awesome HTC phones are the best for Sprint I have had my HTC EVO for 2 years still is awesome

  • what price of ebay you got the phone?

  • yes you will

  • this phone is amazing but not in my hands because i am in india when htc evo 4g lte launch in india please tell me i want buy

  • Um How Do You Clear The Memory Card?

  • My phone died less than a month after I purchased it. Service is with Sprint. They would not replace it unless I paid $50.00. Really hate their customer service policy. Personnel are polite, but policy is horrid. Also had trouble with their billing. It was not what it was supposed to be. They also messed up my phone numbers.

  • No it's not. Except your carrier support both networks; but I guess it's impossible considering phone numbers policy. This phone is excellent, never crashed as I used it for more than 2 months.

  • For those who have GSM SIM, can it be migrated to CDMA?

  • Amazing phone on wifi, however, 3g data limitations really take away from the user expierience. If Sprint actually had 4g lte service, then this phone would be worth the "everything data plan." As it is, I'd rather pay a little more and actually get 4g service from another carrier.

  • I'm sure you'll like it. The only thing I really had against this phone is the fact that you can't swap the battery(which I didn't know until I bought it, stupid me) However, the battery life I've found to be very good actually. Also since the last software update they added a "native" powersave mode that has been rocking the battery life all day!

  • I just ordered this phone from eBay and idk what to expect from it. I hope I like it, it was expensive:(

  • Love the endurance rating info on the phones' specs page. However, the info has not been added to the specs page of this phone. GSMarena, take note.

  • i am using tata indicom sim card. its support in this phone htc evo 4g lte and what is lte

  • I got mine from a forum seller (Jakarta); told that the phone came from ebay. I bought from him about US$360-370 BNIB (in ebay you can get it less --maybe). I know some people said that phone came from ebay will have defect, heat problem, or something similar; but mine is perfect (and scoring 11.385 on antutu which considered normal). Dudes, please tell me how to make OTG works on stock?:)

  • How can i order this phone to myanmar?please tell me..please..and how much will i cost for this phone..thanks

  • update jelly bean ... admin

  • We'll, I'm not playing too many games. But dis device plays Asphalt 7 flawlessly.

  • hey can we play hd games on this mobile such as spiderman etc. because i am watching some reviews where they say that new games cannot be played on dis device . So please any one tell me that is dis device is applicable for playing hd games.... plz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz plzzz reply thanx in advance

  • Jelly Bean update is rolling out! Mangstap gan!

  • Some of my friends in Jakarta said OK in our forum.

  • Hw do I update this phone to JB? I can't find the update notification both in the phone or sync. I lived outside US of course:) Thanks

  • i really hope that there will be an international worlwide version of this phone and of course more powerful device than this..

  • i live in Malaysia.. If I buy this phone will it works ok??

  • Some people are complaining about memory issues. It only has 9.93gb usable on phone storage. When you by it, the phone memory is loaded with folders and junk. If you clear the phone memory you will have all 9.93gb to use. It worked great for me after discovering the issue myself.

  • You need to buy a new sim card with same number number ok

  • suppose i want to continue using my current sim inside?can or could i?

  • its a CDMA handset and does not require SIM card slot... superb handset im loving it

  • Memory card slot holds up to a 64GB microSD, got one for my HTC evo 4G LTE, best phone, ever!

  • dose it have a sim card slot ???

  • This smartphone is fast and stable, needs more Late coverage.

  • Ive noticed with most 4g phones that the quad core processors dont get used in LTE models (one x, and sgs3 for instance)So.... could there be a tegra 3 inside the gsm/international version if there is one.

  • Hope they make a bigger battery

  • Because its not a GSM Phone... Its a CDMA phone... There is not any GSM SIM slot in it...

  • i agree too i hope a global version is coming

  • its a Amazing and great cel ph..

  • If it is not having GPRS , how are you expecting it to RUN 3G or 4G whatever, as in India these services (3G) are provided by the mobile service providers, who will in the same provide for the GPRS (with 3G). Can someone please Clarify.

  • This is a CDMA phone so no GPRS and Edge rather 1X and EVDO

  • lol its cdma dude, no need gprs/hsdpa :)

  • no use bcaz dont have gprs and edge

  • I like it very much, maybe expensive, and I live in Burma, how can I get it?

  • hello is this available in new zealand?

  • Bcuz Sprint was very adamant that there be an SD card slot. They wanted a design that looked lyk the EVO not another One X. But honestly this phone is a supercharged One X and I for one love the design.

  • when is it available in india i am very much eager to buy this gadget..

  • BECZ this is CDMA version not a GSM version.

  • The flash light app can be found on the htc hub site

  • which one is better htc evo 4g lte or samsung galaxy s3

  • where is gprs and edge..??

  • The 4G LTE DOES have an SD slot - microSD under back cover.

  • hspa is only on at&t version so this must just be sprint because the battery is 2000mah, and sprint is the only one that recieved it in that battery size./

  • I got this phone the day it came out with Sprint (5/24). I had the EVO 4G, EVO 3D, and now the latest EVO 4G LTE. The phone is super fast, light, thin and the kick stand can be used in landscape or portrait. The phone looks great and feels good in hand. The camera will blow you away (even in low light) and the battery last all day. Best EVO ever.

  • Where is HSPA??? Just imagine this specs with card slot and battery in One S!

  • Number one ranking on my lists of high-end smartphones. It can compete with galaxy S III on the benchmarks and specwise. Its edge over the latter is the dedicated shutter key which many high-end flagships failed to provide. Good job htc but not good enough though, coz i made your best creation available only to a small fraction of the globe.

  • This phone will be long lasting like the older brother htcevo4g,. Got to have one of this

  • The sad reality is - most of us do not find this phone attractive. Why could the innovators at HTC not have placed a phone with this spec sheet in the HTC One X's body? An SD card could've been added using the slot mechanism they used for their SIM. And motorolla has proven that 'large battery; and 'thin' can exist together. Slightly disappointed because HTC has the potential to be the leading brand.

  • What is HTC's deal anyway, I hope they do not make stupid mistakes, like making something wanting in their phones. I really do not understand why they could not give one x at least 2000maH battery and SD card slot. Whereas samsung is giving their galaxy s3 everything they have got right now. I am sure HTC lost/ are loosing some customers to samsung because of these.

  • this fone is da bomb!with 4g network?but does it have a long lasting battery?why no gprs and edge?plz u pepo shud produced the gsm format.we waiting.matthew from nigeria.

  • omg i want this phone they should make a gsm one it looks well good and the spec sheet is well good htc need to get this out for the rest of the world uk

  • damn on you htc for this phone they support with micro sd card ,but the other international phones they doesn't

  • how can i get this phone usable world wide anywhere?...im living here in U.A.E. where can i buy this phone?kindly give an advice.

  • this phone looks well good i want 1 i looks better then the one x the should bing it out in EU

  • they should get this phone in the uk

  • it uses bluetooth 3.0??... why no 4.0 greater transfer and lower energy usage..

  • When will release in india

  • The One X has no 4G as well....

  • This phone clearly soars past the one x including the international version. It has a bigger battery, and expandable storage via microsd, while keeping the other goodies in place. Might wanna do some research. ^-^

  • Better battery and has MicroSD support than the One X.

  • Not better than the ONE X in any way. OneX out specs it and will have more support from HTC update wise.

  • Love the looks on this phone pity that only American users can get this awesome phone! Better than the ONE X in my opinion, please release it on GSM!!

  • As you know every manufacturer has a contract with the carriers, this HTC EVO 4G LTE was a result of a demand of faster 4G connection, GSM users in other countries around the world request the existant of this device in GSM network, however 4G LTE might not be available. I would of expected a larger screen as the one Samsung Galaxy SIII has or even larger, frontal camera still 1.3 MP I think this should improve of future projects. Release date May 7/2012 in sprint. Have fun to whomever get this new gadget!

  • can v use net on this....?

  • You can buy from ebay

  • this is based off the GSM version... so there is a gsm version..the ONE X

  • maybe cuz the one series is soooo good that every service provider fights to touch it?

  • Great specification... I wish the phone could be available in Bangladesh!

  • I wish HTC released this model globally! I would buy it in a heart beat, why limit it to only a small market in america? make a GSM global version of this spectacular phone

  • Im waiting for HTC to provide same specs for a model offered globally. Thats what Im gonna buy. Im waiting patiently

  • wow!! grayt phone

  • 2000 mah battery? this is what i'm talking about!!

  • No Gsm??????

  • This is not a GSM device, it will not work on any GSM network worldwide.

  • Here we go again. Every provider with separate device. What is wrong with HTC? Please build one LTE and HSPA+ good device. HTC One series only please!

  • really love this cell phone.

  • I am new mobile 4G HTC

  • evo 4g lte. i like it .but hw can i new the original in the macket were there saleing it. If there is code for it send to me ok?

  • Wl buy ths,Damn nice spec....4s,s2,xperia s even galaxy note...has low spec ths phone..pls htc release it faster dual core wif 2000mh,,,htc u r there

  • Does this mobile support PDP type as IPV4V6 .

  • available at avant greenbelt super perfect

  • Also, HD Voice And isn't it Gorilla Glass 2

  • plz improve bettry timing

  • for cdma users who visit this website?????

  • it isnt nvidia tegra 3

  • Because it's a website that lists ALL cellphones, not only those with GSM network.

  • I've had an Evo 4G for the last 2 years....and this new evo will replace my old one. A must have for me.

  • HTC one x looks better then Evo. My opinion, but buy what u like.

  • If its not a GSM handset then why its been listed here (GSM Arena?) in first place.....?

  • it easy, nvidia tegra 3 doesn't support CDMA.

  • - 4.7" SLCD2 1280x720 - S4 Krait Dual-Core processor - 1GB DDR2 RAM - 16GB Storage - MicroSDHC slot (up to 32GB) - MHL out (via microUSB) - 2000mAh Li.Ion battery (non removable) - Kickstand - Dedicated Camera button - EMBEDDED SIM

  • No it isn't - Tegra3 has way better performance than S4 Krait. Put them against one another with the same resolution and you'll se... OneS scores higher 'cos it has qHD oppose to HD on OneX

  • Because the new Qualcomm dual-core chips with Krait cores are faster than NVIDIA Tegra 3.

  • actually its dual core processor acts much better than tegra3 in gaming, specially with its more advanced GPU. because its manufactured with 28nm technology. so it has a better performance and a better battery life at the same time comparing to tegra3 devices. benchmarks show all these differences

  • Well you have to realize that the S4 dualcore chip is actually better than the tegra 3. THe S4 runs on a newer A15 chip.

  • petty that it doens't have quad Core for good games,BUT...it has Radio which I need a lot(i had the Xperia 10 and switched for a DHD) and the expansion slot is good just in case u need to send the phone to repair,u can take out your info(photos, sms, apps) for you, keeping your privacy!!or in case u need to format :)it lacks too a HDMI!:(

  • htc why did you put duel core in it and not quod core in it ?

  • They ALL havwe a radio for crying out loud. and who cares about the expansion slot. Besides you can only have it on Sprint Carrier because the SIM is integrated inside the phone (non removable) :)

  • Now, this appetizing, comparing it to the One X, Just because you can expand your memory and it has a radio!

  • actually it doesn't have a bettar battery that ONE X... Li-Ion is inferior to Li-Po, both are embedded and Li-Po has a way longer life, in terms of use and cycles.. so the 200mAh more doesn't translate to well, nothing :)

  • This version has a better battery life. They should have made the One X with such a battery. :P
