Using it for 4 years, I dropped it 50+ times, cracked its glass 3 times( bought a new one)- still working. It is not for those taking pics everyday for instagram- its pictures do not come out very well, but a very durable, nice looking phone(I have the white one). Good for those phone is not one of their vital body organs)), it can last rreeally long if used carefuly. I read pdf books with it- and its shape is very smooth and easy to hold- very good choice for ebook readers- not too big tto handle, not too small to read.

Hmmm...Ontothe negatives first The phone has a 5 inch display,instead of 540x960 or 1280x720,nope,they put 480x800 res and everything is huge The phone has a quad core and 1GB of RAM,but why Android 4.2.2,why not 4.4.2? And onto the positives(There are many) The phone is light,has a 5 inch display,and it fits in my hands perfectly! The phone has 4GB of internal memory,but ROOTING it fixes everything The phone has a great battery,mine lasts for 4 days if I leave the WiFi off,if not it lasts barely a day Overall,it's a great secondary,and also,the camera is a 5MP 720p(Which also makes good photos,under saturated,but overall good) ,I recommend it to anyone on a tight budget,and if you're gonna use it for music,calling and texting,I highly recommend it

I experienced boot loop at "alcatel" logo screen, but could always solve it by 1. removing battery, 2. holding volume up (use some pointed tool), 3. inserting battery again while holding power until you see the android recovery system menu, 4. using volume buttons to navigate to reset and resetting (your data will be lost unfortunately)

I solved the facebook reset issue by uninstalling facebook updates. The facebook app will revert to the original factory version. I think the latest updates of the FB apps is too much for the CPU and firmware to handle!

think it's time to do 'factory data reset' but first Save all data on (pc, or sd card as, mp3, photo, video etc) also backup all contacts and remove sd card and sim card before you do reset the phone, later install all app from the beginning and facebook too and it should work without problems

Had the worst experience with my pop c7 first it just quits when I'm doing something. It started going off and on and wouldn't stay on for long. This one time it just went off and i wouldn't go on to the launcher. Would just show its brand name when it turned on for hours till charge is exhausted. I have fixed this phone more than i have any other phone. I cant keep visiting the phone repaires seriously!

first,remove the battery , then put in the phone, hold down the volume up key and press power key at same time until the screen lights up to boot the device with recovery mode , and then press volume up\down to select the wipe data factory reset. this will erase all personal data from internal storage. But if you did ROOT the phone then phone is infected with a virus and trojan malware, this virus that sticks to your phones internals . Most anti -virus software will not even work, but if you start the phone then install cm security to clean up you device, and after will work like new.

you're right, but like you said this is a cheap phone but is a very good and reliable. I got it for 18 months and works flawlessly , I am very satisfied . regarding an upgrade of the OS , the principal is reduced to a smaller supplement 4.3 and internal memory is small , and therefore the problem is. just to mention that lolipop 5.0 and more is quite a new OS , means not an upgrade, it erases kit -kat and installs- lolipop that its size is larger than 3GB and you need at least 4GB of space for installation

what happened is that the playstore app got damaged by any large app you downloaded so what you need to do is go to the settings go to the playstore app and click on delete cookies or data after that you will re-estart your alcatel POP C7 then go to playstore and open your account again and the issue will be fixed i hope it works on your phone if it doesnt master reset the phone but by doing the 1st step it will work

So i have this phone for 4/5 months and have ran into some problems. First when i moved some apps to the sd card there were apps that would crash uncontrollably and some icons of the crshed apps would turn into that green android logo, i couldn't play music from the sd card and pictures in the gallary would just turn into grey squares and i couldn't open them. Found no troubleshooting for that. Now recently after i charged the phone the other day and not using it all day it turned off like it had just ran out of battery. Plug in the charger and it wont charge, the led didn't glow, second time it works, and the battery was at 0%. The thing is when i try to turn the phone on the phone wont charge, already tried it with several chargers, and it chrges only with the phone turned off. And it does this weird thing when turning off, where the led lights up like when charging just seconds before turning off and no chrger pluged. Hope you can help me :)

ok, Alcatel c -7. phone is great but you want dual sim phone , and that means that Alcatel model with dual sim, there are only ( 512MB RAM) Alcatel (C7 - 7041X) with 1GB of ram and it is very, very good it's very fast and has excellent touch but only one sim . if it's important that the dual sim then you better take it, Lenovo or Huawei . if you ask me for advice I prefer lenovo , they are all similar in performance but lenovo has 8GB internal memory and it is very important when you install apps and lenovo is lightweight .Good luck with your choice

Most importantly, you can complain to the c7 which is a great phone for its price you can not find anything better than c7 . also the battery I do not know what you expect but is also better than samsung s4 at least 20% and that's all tested . I doubt that you have this phone because you are the only one to complain on performance . read all the blogs and you will be convinced .

Why do not you read blogs at least 5 times I was warned not to touch the operating system .don't root , there is now problems . If phone can operate , for example, 4.4 KitKat factory will certainly send update . c7 to know is 4.2.2 and can only be upgraded to 4.2.3 . but the changes are small so I think it is not worth . now how to fix this problem , it is not that bad in my country in a service you install new os for only 5 eur . Ask at your dealer for reinstalling os .but first try this if your phone is dead then press the power key for more than 7s. Or try , factory reset i think it work , hold down the volume up key and press power key at same time until the screen lights up to boot with recovery mode. and then press volume up\down to select the wipe data to factory reset. this operation will reset to factory and erase personal data. if it works try to find time to say thanx.

try to remove psiphon aplication from phone by uninstall apps. if it doesn't work then save all your personal data or whatever you need from phone to pc and then go to setting , backup and reset , factory data reset , reset phone. ; this operation erase all downloded apps ,and system data setting. this is safety operation and well resolve problem . there is 1 other way , reinstall android 4.2.2 if you have program or go in mobile service, they can reinstall , in my country this cost 5 eur. p.s.

sony is only 4'' so i reject .i think alcatel c7 and , lg fino are better, for me alcatel is better for 5'' display vs 4.5'' for lg. if you take in your hand c7-and lg fino, c7 look much better,but lg got some good performance. so for me c7 is better,but this is only my opinion, and you wont be mistake with lg only 4.5'' display. in numbers is only 1\2 inch but in hand looks much much biger this is 2.5cm. good luck.

To lirnuel ;it's like you make some change to phone, i'm asking did you root or flashing your phone . if you not, then off the pohone and try to factory data reset by hold down the volume up key and press power key at same time until the screen lights up to boot the device with recovery mode.then press volume up\down key to wipe data \factory reset. this operation will reset phone to factory and will erase all personal data. and dont play with os keep original set.

First if you have some problem with c7 or any other product , you have to go to service ,you have 1 or 2 year warranty. but if you make pirate operation by os with flashing or rooting your warranty is off and now starts problems. but if you dont know how to handle with problems there is manual , in apps ALCATEL help . Here how to fix USB connecting problem , you make a change touching wrong button. Ok connect usb with phone and pc and you pull down on screen and you see menu for usb connecting (only charge ,storage ,etc.).then change to usb storage then you can connect with pc. For other problems i think installing a lot of apps or games ,could make change to os so i recommended uninstall all and release internal and ram memory. or reset to factory then you have new phone. again dont root or flashing c7 it come with 4.2.2 os and could be upgraded only with alcatel mobile upgrade s 4.2.3. this is end from alcatel there is no 4.4.kitkat upgrading. My c7 7041x is 5 month old and i'm happy with no problem at all.

Since this phone was released in New Zealand i got one thinking it was great nice tech inside great screen all round a great device for the price .. having said that over the last 3 months ive been thru 4 (yes 4) thats less than 1 a month so many different faults on one device everytime i took it back my new one had a different fault first was usb didnt work and could only be charged offline which was a huge hassle and when i needed it i couldnt connect it to my pc to access my wifi .. cuase usb didnt work properly .. oh well i took it back the next fault was the back and home keys werent working you had to find the sweet spot and try for a very long time to just hit that spot sometimes it was just easier to turn the phone off and back on to get to the home screen next one wouldnt charge while it was off . and the screen would every now and then artifact ... i then asked for a refund and wasnt going to get another alcatel ended up geting a new htc smaller cpu and that but really no hassles .. in short c7 pop is a great machine just rushed i think and the internals need alot of work wouldnt recomend them to anyone rather would point them in another direction.

This is a mini pc with large display 5'' so if you need to save battery set display brightness to low. also when you charge battery for the first time let it charge 8h. So batt discharge is for how long you stay on use,for me is good for 2days but it could discharge for 1 day or less ,with play games who use a lot of energy. save energy save the world, wish you best with c7 and its wery good choise for his price.

standard procedure to access wi-fi , first see your router is in work ,tray with other ,(PC) is in use ,if this is ok then ,open menu find wi-fi icon open and find your router name click ,connect with password. Do ask If you need help for mobile 3g . For battery losing percent by listen music or go to internet etc, it's normal how long you use phone battery go down. Battery its same for 2 and is 1900mah and is good to stay for long time ,also you have saving mode and ultimate saver (only phone and contacts ). Normal use good for 2 days. For fake class of alcatel product i personaly don't belive. there is samsung or iphone on target. So i think your c7 is ok only i recomended 7041x it come with 1gb of ram but camera is 5 mpx and single sim. For c7 7040e; it come with 8mpx camera and dual sim but 512mb of ram. I think only ram 512mb could be problem for this phone but i never had this phone in my hand. I wish you best with c7, also i belive is good.

ok,this phone is with 2gb internal storage.force stop operation only stop app for a moment, but they in use of internal memory.So 1st if you have a lot of apps,then bay sd memory card say 8gb but lok for (class 10 mean speed process---class 4 is slow).install and all you games or apps move to sd card , (how.) go to setting, in device, application, and you have ,downloaded then tap on app (select one)and you see move to sd card. hello,i just saw i have some app problems. I tried to open two of my already installed apps (squaredroid & music player [not phone player, playstore downloaded]) and whenever i open them it says that the app stopped working.I have my phone for about 3 months rn but this is the first time this happened and im kind of confused. i dont seem to have storage problems cause i have my other apps in my memory card (2gb) and my phone storage has still about 150mb left. both non working apps are around 10mb combined. Its being 30 days, i am using Pop C7, as alcatel is a well known name so i think being new in smartphones segment might be they provide a good quality product on lesser price compared to samsung, sony htc or nokia... it is almost same rate as micromax, karbon, intex and many other.... even though in my research i didn't get any indian feedback or review video of same model but i got for C9, Idolx and Hero... all are seems extremely good .... and i find these review true..... Picture quality is good, screen is responsive, resolution is compromised but that is something i can ignore... battery is also good enough. Now Reality check. after use of around 5- 10 day i faced first issue Panel key stop respond.. mean back, menu and home button is not working any more. service center i find out they said at least 15 days it will take to fix.. i decided not to give for service now, as i can use some screen tools application as an alternate for panel buttons. another 2 days screen is not accept my touch now ... some time i need to press a little to click on some thing ... but some time without touch on the screen it takes input.... i would say .... when we are looking for a phone ... first thing we ar looking is a Phone ... that should work at any condition.... what i will do with octa core processor .. and 510 mb internal memory if my phone is not working.. now if you r reading this review before u buy ... consider this review... if you have already buied ... best of luck.

Average battery backup last for 1 day with heavy use and average camera resolution. low performance earphones. Mine came with alot of apps such as facebook, whatsapp and viber. Yes it has a whithe only notification led. The factory camera app capture only ~3.7Mpixel, with another camera app can shot 5Mpixel photos(i use Camera360). Mine is working 2 days with 4-5 hours on screen. Excellent phone!

I have the Alcatel onetouch pop c7 for over a week and it works great good performance the camera 5 mp it's enough to make great picture's. It have everything I need in a smartphone. I think it have a high quality for the price. If you are looking for a smartphone and you don't want to pay much? Than the Alcatel onetouch pop c7 is strongly recommended.

I've had this phone for a week; got it because it was really cheap ~15Euros with my contract so I didn't have much expectations from it. Surprise, surprise. It is proper fast (actually has 1GB RAM and the non-HD screen doesn't stress the CPU too much). The materials are very decent and has a nice feeling for this mid-range price (and very strong LED flash). The screen isn't bad at all, despite the 480p resolution put on the 5 inch screen. The initial battery charge (57% from factory) lasted almost 3 days with the phone used for calls,SMS and WiFi browsing.
