Try making sure the auto update of time and date is on (tick) and make sure your in the correct time zone. This happened to me once and even though the time was correct i wasn't receiving texts and calls were not logged on my call log. As soon as i noticed the auto update time box wasn't ticked and ticked it i started receiving texts again, my call log was back to normal and the rest is now history. Hopefully this will help! I'm still running i9195 with UNOFFICIAL LineageOS (Android 9) and the shortage on RAM is getting serious with latest apps. I'm running fastest SD card on the market (A-Data A1 Premium, be sure to NOT get the A2 version) with force all apps to sdcard option in the developer settings enabled. I really wouldn't want to get a physically bigger phone as replacement for this one but choices are pretty limited. Basically the choices are Sharp Aquos R2 compact (but not available in Europe) Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact (a bit pricey and Sony pulling stunts on LineageOS every now and then) Samsung Galaxy S8 (quite a big bigger physically but borderline acceptable size, unfortunately the screen is curved so this has huge issues with glare)

I love my Galaxy S4 mini but now it won't update apps because it says there is insufficient storage. I wish I could remove the Samsung installed apps that I don't need, but I can't, and I have already removed so many other apps. I have a 16gb SD card in situ, with all possible apps directed to be stored on it, and it still has space. Is there anything else that I haven't realised stored in the phone's memory? Photos, music, downloads? I see from the specifications that it only has 1.5gb ROM. Is that the problem? Any suggestions to keep this little phone going longer?

This was my first ever phone, got it on 2014 and today we are in 2019 and still thinking that it was the greatest choice. in 2018 it was broken from inside due to some "violent using" but overall among those 4 years it was great choice! not heavy, not big (like modern ones) and the fact that you can root the device and install the latest android ROM's was nice! I'm still missing my old S4 Mini and now trying to look up for a new phone which is as small as this one but with a good performance as it was but can't find :(

Love my S4 mini. Haven't had and problems and the small size is great for putting in my pocket. Going to upgrade the RAM to 64GB MicroSD for my music. Just bought a brand new factory sealed second S4 mini on eBay just in case something happens to this one. If you can find a new one on eBay and are looking for a compact 4G phone then you can't go past this one at such a cheap price.

Had this phone since its original release...thinking of upgrading but will say this phone Is still working for me. It definitely does not compare to todays phones (the s7 and s8) when it comes to photo taking but its still not bad and not too slow.

I have s4 mini SGH-i257 from at&t. it's very good phone, i use it with only one hand.it have 16 GB internal Storage and supprort 4G/LTE. i rooted my phone with king root apk and i did many thing for my phone 1-change at&t bootanimation and bootsound. i change them with original s4 mini. 2-I delete all system apps from at&t ,i did not need theme. 3-fix wifi hostpot "invalid sim error" with xposed framwork with model called "Moto Tether" now in can share connection and recive data with Shareit or ather apps. 4-I installed AudioFx from CM13 by using root Explorer to system without recovery mode, know i get amazing sound in google play music , i get amazing suround sound with basses. .....know it's work great i like this phone

Hi everyone! If you want to increase the phone battery life, delete the original gallery application as root. Then alternatively download the QuickPic application from the market. I increased battery life by 75%. The original gallery application consumes too much battery. The S4 mini is an excellent phone with camera, internet speed, screen and dimensions. As I wrote 6 months ago....Nothing has changed on the market. What I need is something not so large. These days all phones have 70mm width. Maybe Sony will present something like the XA with better battery. Xiaomi or Samsung could do a borderless 5" and I would be more than happy... I saw the phone and loved what it had to offer. Within a few month I became frustrated . The zoom in pictures were real bad. Played with the settings and it didn't improve so no zoom ins. Next the battery was always getting hot. Took it in and at&t couldn't help me. Next whenever I held it to my ear the screen became very sensitive and buttons were constantly beeping and would even hang up on people. This became a huge problem. Again took it in and still no help. I would not recommend it to anyone and now I am not sure I would ever get another samsung.

I have used it for 3 years. it felt on the ground numerous times but everything is still working and nothing broke. if specs are enough for Your needs than I really suggest to buy it. camera is good. video quality is great. after 3 years it is starting to be slower and restarting sometime but these are 3 YEARS and phone still works great without any errors. the battery life now is quite bad - changed to ebay bought one and it's better now but would like to have better battery life at the begining. now I will move on to huawei mate 9 and buy a xiaomi redmi note 4 for my girlfriend. will see if they will be as good as galaxy S4

Learn your lesson: anything can break or be lost/stolen ; so any data that is important that is important save it in minimum 2 places and pray they don't "die" at the same time. do a weekly backup on laptop for example . and if the laptops "dies" u still have the info on the fone

I got my S4 mini after the S5 was released for $25. It has been a great phone all these years. Perfect size. I wasn't happy with the last big update Samsung pushed. I actually dismissed it for a year but once it was accidentally updated it has been a bit of a pain. Samsung is constantly trying to turn on Samsung Pay, Push notifications etc. If you limit what is running the battery life can still be good even after all these years. I am close to rooting it or upgrading if i can find another "mini" phone. The S7 and new phones are just getting too big for my taste.

After using this phone for about 2.5 years, last week it suddenly got dead, never came back to life again. No mishandling from my side, like dropping, contact with water etc. All of my contacts, data etc. are lost and can't be retrieved. The battery is checked by Samsung's own authorized service center, and it is fine. They simply blamed it on motherboard and the budget for replacement is so high, that by adding a few thousands, one can buy a new phone. Horrible experience.

As my first phone, I didn't expect much from it, so I bought a cheap case, was careless enough to not keep a screen protector on it, which should have been a mistake. Finally, today it fell out of my pocket into the parking lot of my local grocery store. I panicked, where did my phone go? Had no idea until I called it and someone actually picked up. It was wedged between a tire and the pavement of the parking lot. I picked it up not even five minutes later, and you can see the marks of the tires on the screen, and can feel the grooves of the pebbles in the case, the screen still remains uncracked, unscratched, and the touch part working, and the led screen is fine. This phone far surpasses any other smartphones.

Might be the single worst consumer product EVER. Press Phone, get Messaging, press Messaging, get Camera, press Contacts, get Chrome. Press anything, get no response at all four times in a row. Just replaced with a LG Google Nexus 5x and the difference is astonishing. After removing the battery, SIM card, and MicroSD card, I smashed this junk with an 8-lb. sledge hammer.

Im using s4 mini for almost 3 years now; The first thing that will annoy you aboutthis phone as compared to other latest phones is its less internal memory. I have rooted my device and installed Link2sd app so that i can move whole apk data directly into sd card and phone is working fine and it also saves the phone memory. Then downloaded 'GL to SD' app by which you can move data+obb files into memory card and can still open the apps without lagging. Then about battery issues in which I have 'Greenify' app which hibernates every app as soon as screen turns off. This will save your battery very much. I have fifa 12, asphalt 8, Mortal kombat in my phone at a time with other regular apps and all of them unstaed in sd card with their data. All of them working extremely fine.

Well I think the z5c was a flop, as the new Xc. Not because they aren't great phones, but because they didn't improve the z3c, which is still the best after 2 years: only 129g for 4,6" screen with top performance and features. As you can notice I know this kind of segment quite well...unfortunately this segment is dominated by the iPhone (full models and SE model) which are wonderful...except for they closed system.

Might be a dead battery. A dying li-ion battery will (without warning) suddenly drop to 0% causing the phone to automatically shut down, and/or not to power back on. Get a new battery and see if that helps. New OEM ones cost under $20 USD.

There might be a bad/intermittent contact between the wifi antenna and the board's connecting pins. Dirty/corroded contacts can cause loads of problems like this. I had a similar problem with the cell antenna. Disassembling the phone and cleaning the faulty contacts with a spudger may solve it.

I think most people forget (or are unaware) that li-ion batteries have quite a short life. Consider yourself lucky if you can get (at most) 2 years of useful life out of one. Li-ion batteries lose their ability to hold a charge rapidly beyond the 2-year point, and that's regardless of how often (or little) you charge/discharge them. Get a new GENUINE/OEM Samsung replacement battery and if possible get one with the latest date of manufacture.

Worked fine until one year of age. After that, it suddenly started restarting a lot. Furthermore, the battery indicator seems to be unreliable as battery levels can drop from 60% to 10% for no apparent reason. I don't think my next phone will be a Samsung.

i was able to receive text messages from this phone on my computer then reply to the text from my computer and even rewrite someone else's mobile number and be able to send a text. For some reason this capability has gone. Not sure if it's my computer doing it or my phone. I can't understand how something can work and then go without any changes. Does anyone have an idea?

This phone is a bit disappointing, firstly, I use a samsung galaxy s4 mini and the battery life has gone from around the supposedly 54hrs stand-by time to 3hrs, It also only lasts around 1hr while using any app that needs to know you're current location. The screen is good though and the only other issue I have with it is that it sometimes freezes during gameplay.

I had the same overheating problem with my Samsung note 4, I even replaced the battery. What worked for me was resetting it to factory settings. I backed up my information first. I think it must have been a bug or something, even though I had an antivirus. Problem solved with factory reset.

An app you updated or installed in your phone is eating up your battery. And your charger may be faulty. Remove your battery and charge it with a desktop charger so that the phone can come on. Then fix back the battery and on the phone, go to settings, battery, click on it and see the app that is draining the battery the most,if its not an important app,then you can install it.

Plug your phone to your computer, open the Micro SD folder, (should be named Card), and look for a folder called Sounds. If there isn't one, just create one. You then just have to put your songs in that folder and that's it!

Your Micro SD card is likely to be FAKE. Fakes are sold where they will look like a larger capacity than they are, due to being hacked to 'lie' to the operating system and phone about true capacity. One often only notices the issue when one fills the card and then finds that one cannot write any more data beyond a certain point - it often then corrupts ALL the data on the card, too! So when I buy flash memory of any kind, I use H2testW software (for Windows) to fill the whole card, and maybe repeat multiple times, to test it (including write speed). Quite good. It lasted me 3 years. I've had battery problems and even problems in my motherboard. It is still in good condition, although it sometimes heats up whenever I play a game or even use the Internet. But overall, it is a very good model.

After almost 2 years of usage the phone still works. The biggest complaint i have is the battery. It does usually get me trough a day, but when I come home from work it goes on charger. For example es I write this I'm on 14% with 12h30min on battery time with 2h48 min screen on time. But the worst thing is that you newer know how much battery you really have. It can go down from 40 to 5% within 5 min. And it's anoying. Ok,it just dropped down to 11% as i was writing this. Speed is ok for 2y old device. Camera not that good indoor. Keyboard a bit to narrow for my hands. I download alot of torrents on it. Have 32gb card in it. Battery just dropped down to 9% again! The part that on the frame samsung usually chromes is bad. The paint is coming off.

I have had the I9192 (the duos version) for over a year. I'll share to you my experience with the phone regarding the main features that people look for when buying a smartphone at this budget, and then give my personal view. Firstly, the display. Personally, having a 720p res phone before this one, it was a bit undesirable at first. However, the 256ppi won't really bother you unless you look for the pixels. Note that the max resolution is 480p on YouTube vids. It's not that bad for this screen size actually. Remember, this phone is designed to be very portable and light, and it is. It's not great, but the AMOLED qHD screen gets the job done. I would not recommend this phone for people with big hands however. Secondly,the Camera. The S4 mini is actually a pretty good shooter. I was very, very surprised at the quality shots I could've made with this thing. You're gonna need to know how to focus the camera on close-up objects so that you get a very nice blur in the background. Follow me on Instagram @kes_tt for my shoots! The camera won't disappoint you, I can promise. As for the performance, I haven't recall a moment where the phone lagged intensely with just using the ui or light tasks... EXCEPT (and a huge one) when updating apps. Especially the large ones. Oh my God, this phone lags a s-ton a lot when you have apps updating in the background. I believe it's a RAM problem, but I cannot recall having this problem with a 1gb RAM phone I had. Besides that, as for performance on basic to moderate 3D games, it plays very well. Note that some games are impossible to play on it because of the small screen size such as those games optimized for tablets or have fine text/ small buttons. Now let's talk about the battery. This is the one segment I'm most concerned about. The 1900mah battery haven't bothered me too much when I was in school or occupied in work. It could last you a day on light-moderate usage and browsing. However If you plan to play demanding games, heavy social browsing and use the camera often throughout the day, you better get a power bank; it won't last 5 hours to be generously speaking. Also, I have noticed an alarming problem; often if the phone drops and shuts off, it loses a ton of charge. Sometimes my phone would freeze on a half battery, and when I restart, it shows that it has only 20% or less; and when the battery is below 15%, it dies within seconds. There may be many reasons to explain this, such as me using different chargers to charge my phone. This may be a very rare problem, if not uniquely to me. As a phone ages, you should expect it to become slower. That's mostly a memory problem, so be sure you have at least 16gb of external memory if you like to have vids, music and take pics like myself, and plan on having this phone for 2+ years. Trust me, you don't want to live on the 8gb internal memory because the android system takes up about 2.5 Gb. Something that kinda annoys me is that the phone doesn't automatically save data unto the micro SD. Not a big deal cause you can do it manually, but being able to do it automatically on other devices is missed. At last I would like to conclude my review. The phone itself is a pretty decent phone for those who don't need the high end fancy stuff and doesn't live on their phone. If you just want a decent mid range phone to help with your everyday needs, you can't go wrong with the Galaxy S4 mini. Are you an enthusiast with big hands who are used to the fancy specs to play heavy games and uses their phone every minute to text on social apps and play media? Don't even look at it. My review of this device is made without comparing it to others, therefore I cannot recommend any particular phones that may be a better buy. Seeing that this phone is a bit dated, I suggest that you do your research.

Since recently it deleted all my pictures which are very valuable to me, it is annoying I cannot access my photos and videos. I have this phone 1 year by now (Black Edition). By far the most complete phone for everyday use. Compact, light, enough power, enough memory, no lags. Perfect for the basic activities (good pdf and other document manager, good speed with apps, good internet speed). Total satifaction with this one.

Replaced a 5 year old HTC with an S4 Mini at the weekend. So far it's pretty good. My spec was 4 inch screen, 4G, reasonable cameras, LED Flash\torch (I'm under desks a lot) and replaceable battery. Wifi, BlueTooth, GPS etc.. It ticks all those boxes plus It now ships with Android 4.4.2, It has an IR Blaster so works as a TV remote It has an FM radio tuner It has an NFC read\writer and it's cheap compared to the latest flagships The only downside I've found is it doesn't connect as a USB mass storage device but as a media device..

Great battery life in overall. I do everything to save battery life (custom rom, blackcat theme, underclocking, undervolting, using blacked out apps, inverted rendering...) and squeeze 7 hours of continuously using wifi and screen is always on. Small and compact form. Who needs HD / Full HD for smartphones anyway? 480x800 or 540x960 is enough for < 4.5 inch phones.

Hi X-Ray. I've had an S4 mini I-9195 unlocked international version for a year. Good phone, and I see they upped the specs on new model, but if i were you I would check out the Galaxy alpha. has 4.7" screen, 8 cores, exynos CPU, and only weighs 7g more than the S4 mini. Suffers from poor battery time and has no SD card, but you get lots more phone for the buck. If unlocked, consider only the SM-G850M variant. It has the most frequency bands. beware the ATT version which is 4 cores with Snapdragon CPU. I'm waiting for mine to be delivered so can't recommend, just saying it's worth a look.....

I installed CyanogenMod 10.2.1.3 which is the lastest stable version available. Rather install stable versions of CyanogenMod. Read plenty of tutorials on how to do it also. Enjoy your new S4 mini ;)

I have had my galaxy s4 mini for a year now and I am not pleased. It is very slow no matter what I do, it constantly exits to the home page, freezes constantly, no one can hear me on the phone but it echos their voice. I am upset that it doesnt work as well as I hoped. I have tried deleting apps and pictures to make it run faster and I have also tried downloading the battery/speed booster apps but nothing helps. Maybe not this way for all galaxys but this is my experience.

RAM is only 1.2 GB, however, the available memory space is either 16 or 32 GB. I have the 16 GB with an added external SD card for my music and pictures. If you're having troubles downloading, that's not a space issue, that's you being inept or the phone needs to be reset.

I have S4 Mini I9192 since September 2013. So far it worked very fine. But now it is showing less than 400Mb internal Memory thus at times it is getting LAGGY. I am regularly removing most of whatsapp videos and images and also cleaning cache of Applications. But despite all this i am finding difficult to increase the available Internal Memory. Please everyone ,let's discuss the matter in realistic way...Samsung galaxy s4 mini isn't a bad phone.I don't say it's perfect ,but not as bad as many people say .Its CPU is good and quiete strong .Its Ram is very good and s4 mini is really good phone with games.the display is actually good especially when set the phone on professional photo display mode.I admit that the camera isn't very good ...It's not bad at all but not perfect. Now I have two problems with this smartphone,first,the battery life is running out very quickly .second,the phone is heating fast .But these two problems happened after I had rooted my phone and set a custom ROM for it so I guess that it's the reason for these two problems because before the root the phone was fantastic for and it wasn't heating and its battery life was good Finally,please for everyone, read my opinion and your neutral reply is very valued for me

Crappiest phone I ever used. It looks good on paper, considering the price, but in fact it is: - low build quality = squeaky plastic, you need a serious case/cover to defend it - lots of useless built-in programms running and as a result: - very poor battery life - random lags (despite of decent CPU and RAM) - random restarts - hard to root - akward position of volume rocker (every second time when I try press the power with my thumb I accidentaally press the volume with my index finger on the other side) - It bricked my brand new Kingston microSD card after 3 weeks. Finally when it fell down from sofa after ~5 months of usage, the screen was damaged and I ahd to find my old HTC Desire X (which I bought in 2013 and used for 2 years) and was pleased to have a qulaity built phone in my hands, which can handle some falls without any case or film, has a better battery life, and runs smoothly.

You haven't learnt the nitty gritty about the phone yet. It's one of the best mini phones. You must learn how to set your phone to your preferences. Like where you want your apps to be stored,set time limit for idleness and lots more. My battery last long for me.

I've had this phone for about 6 months now and In my opinion this phone is great with all the features it runs smoothly sometimes it lags.After using it for 6 months it has become so slow and laggy the worst thing about the phone is the battery it runs out very quickly even though i don't use it much throughout the day it lasts for half a day then i have to charge it again.One more thing which i hate about the phone is that i have a 8GB SD card on it which is empty and every time i try to install an app it says i haven't got any more storage so you can only use the storage in the device which is 8GB to download apps which is ridiculous. overall i think i would never recommend this phone to anyone as its the worst phone I've ever had.

I had a Samsung Mini for a year now, great little phone, the biggest complaint is the battery life if you use it for data and texting etc for about 4 hours its all over. i am thinking of going to S6 or an edge now but the note4 is a bigger processor however the 8 mg pix on the mini as apposed to the 16 mg pixel on the s6 is tempting and a slightly bigger screen, gone from 1.6 dual core to 1.5 quod core, so must be faster too i guess. Hard decision.

A new battery record for me, my S4mini is on battery for 4days 14hours 11minutes and still has 31% battery left! Could easily last a day more without charging but I have to connect it to USB now. It's a great phone for me. A few weeks ago it got stolen but I bought the S4 mini again (for much less!), all the competition misses out on some points or is too expensive. I see complaints about the battery but at this moment it's on battery for 2days and 4 hours with still 34% battery left (disabled all nifty things/apps). Got a different provider now with 4G/LTE and it now connects much faster to Internet, in less than a second. Only miss a notification LED. Hoping for lollipop just to be up to date.

I had the same issue. I downloaded many apps from playstore, etc, and then this issue of screen becoming red started. On switch OFF/ON, it used to go for a while, but again start when i used to start any app. Finally had to reset to factory settings. This solved the problem. Dunno why this happened.. Think I will not download just any app now.

I have ditched my blackberry torch 9800 for this S4 mini and my mind is blown now. This phone is the best, most capable phone ever to have been owned by myself. I have more apps and capabilities on this phone than I could have imagined. Everything from entirely offline mapping and navigation, games, security, media playing and more. A fantastic phone, now that the price is actually viable. I would never spend an insane amount on a phone unless I wasn't a computer guy, so to me £135 was on the far upper end of what I would be willing to shell out on a phone. Well worth the money.

If you are using a dual sim phone, only one sim will get 3g at a time. Your settings will automatically change to gsm from wcdma because the other sim might have already been selected to wcdma or automatic mode. To resolve the issue, change the other sim to gsm only mode. Then change your 3g sim to wcdma only or automatic mode. Hope, this will solve your issue.

Guys, I seriously recommend this phone. It has an InfraRed blaster, which is only available on high-end phones. I just installed Galaxy Universal Remote App, now I can control 3 TVs and 1 satellite box at my home using this phone. Definitely,i m using S4 Mini since a year, i dont find such problem like overheating and poor battery ...neither any lagging... We must use the original charger with its cable to recharge the phone's battery in a good power source/output.. less voltage or fluctuation or keeping the on charge for a long duration or using laptop's usb port n data cable to charge the phone's battery may lead to the above symptoms.

I'm using i9195 (LTE model) for more than a year and I can tell that it is not as good as it used to be. First of all, it drains the battery after battery is down to 30%. From 30% to 0 it takes around 5 minutes to go. I've made factory reset and all I had in my mind but none of it worked. Secondly, plastic back cover is cheap and all the letters of Samsung logo have dropped already. For the metal looking side bars. They aren't metal color now, they are white as the paint went off already. I don't recommend this phone to anyone who wishes to use it more than a year. It's a low quality phone.

I bought the S4 mini dual sim about 2 months ago. It was already upgraded to kitkat 4.4.2. sadly I have had lots of problems with the phone turning itself off. It seems the slightest requirement for it to do more than just one thing will cause it to crash. And once it's crashed once, it gets caught in a cycle so it will happen say 5 times rendering it unusable for half an hour. 2 days ago it must have happened 30 timed... so now I have lost it and I'm looking at other phones. In every other way I like this phone. If anyone can suggest a solution I'd very very grateful.

ok i'm using this phone (dual sim version) for a year now and had no problems at all so far. well at first had problems before i understood phone functions fully. it's pretty fast, has good processing speed and good camera. can't say anything against. screen protection gorilla glass rules! no scratches at all. only bad thing is battery life. but can buy extra one and replace it or carry charger around. only problem i had was with sdcard. when i moved some of programs to it, and rebooted phone, it started rebooting automatically, until i removed sdcard, deleted apps and reinserted it. dunno if it was cards fault or software, but had no other problems so far. use it and have fun ^_^

I updated my i9192 with Odin. I am from Croatia and I put latest Russian firmware PDA: I9192XXUCNJ3 - CSC: I9192SERCNJ3 - MODEM: I9192XXUCNJ3. Everything works like a charm. No lags, no problems with WiFi, Mobile data, changing SIM, etc. Only what I miss is when someone is calling there is no SIM icon I can identify, but I can by setting default sound from SIM1 and SIM2. I don't play games and do to much things on cellphone. Maybe battery can last longer, but 1 day is enough for me (before I had S7562)

There is noticeable lag, which is annoying, and mind you the phone lasts for 12-14hrs of mixed usage(continuous usage i mean)... Not even 1 year have passed since I bought this phone & I'm having problems with the display. Every now and then, it starts flickering and colours get mixed up. The background divides in two colours: grey and beige and words become white. This occurs for some minutes then it flicks again and goes back to normal. Using S4 MINI I9192(DUOS) on kitkat 4.4.2 i came across one problem in it,that it keeps on searching for wifi connection even if you are connected with one stable wifi connection,which results in battery drain, not significantly but up to some extent.I think it is an issue which needs to resolved in future updates.

If u want nokia go for lumia 730, but there's much talk about its overheating problem first confirm if it is hhaving. For sony go for xperia zr available at rs.17k Unbeatable mobile at this price range heavenly better than s4 mini. For motorola go for moto x available for rs.18k Way better than s4 mini. Tell u one thing never go for any mini's of samsung they are highly overpriced, in actual price of s4 mini should be not more than rs.12k., but selling at 17k. Also you will get better build quality in other brands. Trust me s4 mini is good but it is not value for money.

Iv got my s4 mini for a month now, when taking photos and go to my photos it shows that it is unserported file and cannot open the pics which I need to del. What can be done. Must it be sent away for repairs which I do not agree cuase its a new phone?

My Samsung S4 Mini also became dead on 19-10-2014 without any obvious cause. I have contacted authorized service center and they have told me that the board is gone and at least 10 days is required to fix new board. I am quiet unhappy with my phone for which i had spent more than 20,000/-rupees.

Me too, two days ago. Again Kies didn't find updates so I tried the update in the settings menu and it started downloading 500MB. Can't find many differences but that's okay, I was already happy the way it was (I9195).

Have this phone for a month and I saw that battery won't last more that 12 hours. So I disabled/uninstalled a lot of bloatware which I don't use and my battery life increased to 72 hours. Best way to boost battery life would be custom roms then... The phone is good overall except that people have to tweak it in order to make battery last more than a day...

Finally got kitkat 4.4.2 from kies but i cant root it without losing warranty anymore...but since my phone become almost lagless, i can wait for next update or new root method (though heating and system\idle battery drain is really annoying...)

i have the 9195 model over a year now and ihave also gear so i have bluetooth on 24 h per day ...after one work day with about 2 hours of calling and browsing about 1hr e.t.c in the evening still 70 % of battery is this great or what hint.. boot your device once a day and clean memory after you recharge your battery and take it of your charger perkeles...urpåt..

Samsung rolling out kitkat update for various baseband versions of s4 mini. There is no kitkat update yet for I9192DDUBND4 baseband version of s4 mini, but samsung roll out soon. To check your s4 mini baseband version go to settings>more>about device-----here is your baseband version.

both of them are almost same in terms in specs samsung s4 mini has the capabilities in performing what does a high end smartphone does....if you want to spend your money ...go for LG G2..but if you want to save your money go for s4 mini..

Its major problem with battery board, some times it will not charge until restart the mobile 2 or 3 times. some times it will show 100% battery 3 or 4 hours after unplug the charger but once we restart the mobile it will go down to 60% immediately. Another problem in the night even if you have 40% charge in your battery even though it will shut down in the morning. I am happy with the performance of the mobile but I'm little bit worried about the board because my phone now in service centre after 2 months my warranty will expire....

I have had the S4 full size for a year and just bought the S4 mini. I LOVE it. The S4 is nice but I find it too big for pockets. I use the S4 for gaming now with Moga game controller and the S4 mini for everyday use. The S4 mini has GREAT battery life ( I updated to KitKat) getting the ROM from Sammobile site. I recommened the S4 mini OVER the S4. Both are great phones.
