Phones are built with either CDMA or GSM circuitry. Unfortunately, a CDMA phone, once regeistered with a CDMA carrier, is foreverer CDMA. No other human can use it. Next time buy a GSM phone (the entire world and ATT, T-mobile, Cricket are GSM). All GSM phones can be unlocked, and with a SIM from your GSM carrier, used. You can take the SIM out of your GSM phone, put it in an unlocked GSM phone, and use it. If a CDMA phone with GSM circuitry has not previously been registered as CDMA, it can be used with a GSM SIM (I am currently using an unlocked "Verizon Droid Turbo" (never registered with verizon) on Cricket (GSM).

Is there any way I can switch the phone out of CDMA mode? Because I have a plan through Family Mobile (a Walmart service powered by T-Mobile) & paid to get the Sim unlock code for it, but it seems that my money has gone to waste now because the phone will NOT read any SIM card but the Cricket Sim card that came with the phone originally. If anyone has any info on how I can resolve this issue without having to break my bank any further it would be highly appreciated. You can email me at [email protected]

This page is worthless. I could have written the main response myself. There's not one stinking word about how to unlock this phone without Cricket's help - which ain't happening. And get off the stupid Sim unlock crap for this phone. You can't unlock the Sim until you unlock the CDMA portion first.

You don't have to give it up, but because of Cricket's lies, false information and refusal to comply with Federal Law; it may be a lot more difficult to migrate it than you are willing to fool with. You see, your HTC One SV cdma is actually a very special phone. It is dual service and when unlocked from Cricket's contol is a fully funcioning GSM that will work with AT&T, T-Mobil, Telcel, etc. Unfortunately, Cricket refuses to activate a Sim for this phone. However, a couple of ways around this is, 1: you can sell it and buy a good used AT&T HTC One VX which is exactly the same phone, and corrupt Cricket will gladly activate it after you unlock it; or 2: buy a cheap garbaged AT&T HTC One VX and use it to get Cricket to activate a Sim, then just throw it away and put the Sim in your unlocked HTC One SV.

I love my HTC one SV! I have never had any problems with it. I am going to hate to give it up to migrate to the new GSM network Cricket is going to!

I have a this phone from Cricket. Not good. Always locking up, I constantly have to reboot in order to regain access to any network ( error messages like "insert sim card" and the like.) My wife has a Samsung on the same network, we go the same places and hers works, mine doesnt. stay away from this phone!!@

My SV won't charge over 89% and around 15-20% it suffers massive battery drain or a instant death.. help?

I have no problems with the phone the ringtones are easy to set. This phone is a good phone maybe you just learn how to work it before leaving a bad review. Everything you said I have not encounter as of yet. Their is a reason they make manuals for phones.

When I found out that this phone was available with boost I was way stoked. However after having a Samsung galaxy rush I wish I had never made the switch. No matter what I do this phone has been making my life a nightmare!!!! I can't even set my ringtone to what I want. It says it's set for 1 thing and then when tested it plays something completely oposite. There r so many complaints I can't even begin t list them all

Dears i am having problem with my wifi connection on my htc one sv....initially it worked for three days but suddenly its wifi disconnected...since then its wifi is not working.....wifi did not search any network in searching menue......It gives message after scaning that searching for wifi networks...................i have updated my phone software on JB..Also i have done factory reset but same result.......anyone please guide me what to do now

Eagerly waiting for this phone. When it comes to CDMA people does not have enough options. But for the first time HTC will bring a phone for us in CDMA while will fulfill our needs. Thank YOu HTC!
