Samsung Galaxy Note7 (USA) - User Reviews

  • EcoATM does not recognize this phone - just saying

  • To explode or note..

  • Never forget. It'll always be in my conciousness.

  • It's a real awesome device

  • I bought one yesterday from a third party seller, im wondering if the recall still available for me+

  • The sound level meter A- works, BUT the specs do NOT sat what is the frequency WEIGHTING network. Most soud field ratings are expressed as either "A-Weighting) dubbed as "dBA", or "C-Weighted" (dubbed as "dBC"). dBA vaues rate the sound per its HEARING DAMAGE potential (viz: above 90 dBA is destructive to hearing). dBC rates the music noise annoyance potential remotely outdoors and indoors. (vzi "rock music is very annoying to distance folks that are not wanting to hear it). PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL US WHAT IS THE WEIGHTING NETWORK USED IN THE GALAXY 7 APP?

  • lol.. amazing comment😂

  • U knw u won't get it

  • Can I get this phone , it will explode or not

  • it seems to have some amazing new explosive features

  • I am going to take note 7 second hand used mobile can i take it it is safe please anybody help by your opinion the mobile is okd note 7 not note 7s

  • or an extinctor maybe

  • It's so bad I lost my galaxy note 7 . During making video in river.

  • what if they make an active version of the coming note like s7 and s7active but thinner it will be the beast of 2017

  • Top cell in the world .........................miss u note7. After Samsung announced discontinuation, there are no reports of exploding. Strange!!!

  • I am really really missing Samsung Note 7

  • very good cell in the world .........................miss u note7

  • Ha ha .Wow man only you can say this

  • Rip Note 7,I don't think it will be produced again and it is spoiling the Samsung brand name and marketing with this negative circumstances surrounding the explosion of the battery

  • yes definetly tha model iz good bt some feature are nt compatiable.......

  • I wish that you could still buy it even though the recalls i would still want this phone.

  • Take a deep breath find the issue resolve it and come back. Good Luck.

  • Aaaaand, that huge rant is irrelevant now that the Note7 is discontinued and will no longer receive support.

  • galaxy not series was really powerd devices a few days ago.. Alaas,, but unfortunetlly,, now Samsung rejected this series completely

  • Very well stated - I agree!!!

  • Discontinued...

  • Too bad your "best smartphone of 2016" is dead and buried. Even if it didn't, any device running Touchwiz can never be the best at anything.

  • Note 7. Trying to put too much processing power into a small package. It simply can't handle the HEAT.

  • And most importantly, both LG phones have inferior displays and battery life to both S7 edge and Note7. Note7 is the smartphone to beat in 2016. Don't care if the recall hoopla got overblown by Apple shareholders who control the media to help sell more iPhone 7s. Note7 still excels from Apple fans' smear campaign. Design Cameras Display Battery Life The only advantage 7+ has is that killer feature of 2x optical zoom. But it loses in several photo and video recording comparisons. The audio quality is still in mono and the front cam is too close. Not wide angle to eliminate selfie sticks. The only area V20 seems to excel is audio. If you are paying over $700, you might as well get the phone that is the best in more areas. Both iPhone 7+ and V20 have consistently lost in those key areas. Only area Note7 might lose is during speed tests and RAM management. But software is easily correctable with updates and the Note7 replacements supposedly have a software update that improved the speed and smoothness of the early lag. Snapdragon 820 or the faster, more efficient Exynos, the Note7 is still the smartphone to beat in 2016. Oh stop your whinnies. The phones are clearly exploding and now your blaming Apple. ?

  • You can go back to the previous note (5 or 4). My preference is still the note 4, the best phone ever made since the note 7 became a fiasco. With the note 4 you will have access to the battery compartment and this phone accepts 128gb of micro SD external card. Sure the Note 5 has a little improvement over the 4, but has a lot of downsides, like not sd card slot, no access to battery, etc.

  • If you can settle for an older device, the note 5 is still a good phone

  • Maybe version 8 will have a replaceable battery...

  • Well, There's an S7 Edge around the corner. :)

  • So now that I have to return my replacement Note7, what options do I have for a large phone with a good battery, stylus, and capable of wireless charging? I don't care too much about camera or screen resolution...Please provide suggestions...

  • Oh stop your whinnies. The phones are clearly exploding and now your blaming Apple. ? 'My replacement Samsung Note 7 exploded' Yea, it's apples fault that samsungs phone are exploding. You have no one to blame except for Samsung.

  • samsung has a lot of work to do as far as building consumer confidence after this n7 debacle. unfortunately just today a replacement note 7 caught fire in a females back pocket in taiwan. wow.

  • Samsung how do you get this right being one of the leading brands in the world people go on about apple and other devices yet they dont explode please fix the problem or discontinue the device people dont feel safe anymore and yes it is mnd blowing but not the kind people expect so kindly fix the problem you caused

  • Well. Samsung finally reinvented how human discover fire!!!

  • except, they both have removable batt.....

  • Just got my replacement Note 7, could have picked it up a few days ago. The specs on the phone are incorrect with regard to the radio, I can confirm that it does have FM radio enabled and it works. Grab an app and enjoy your favorite local FM station. The corded earphones act as the antenna. There are workarounds so you can use bluetooth headphones, but you'll need to either plug in the wired ones or locate a 3.5mm antenna that's been properly designed and use a workaround to reroute the sound to bluetooth since it defaults to the headphones when something is plugged all the way into the jack.

  • Unfortunately, LG G5, V20 have ugly back design.

  • I own every new device that is Android I own that one too but it's now too much to take from Samsung late on everything software quality control moving on to Apple keep burning your self samsung coz my moving to Apple is with 120GB of online data too

  • I know a few enthusiasts who prefer the LG for it's price and features. That G2 remains a good device. Good ROMs available too.

  • does it support fast battery charging, i mean quick charge

  • Samsung units are in mass production...ever their flagships phones they forget ir blaster and even notification light....till now i really enjoy using ir blaster for my old lg g2 n lg g pad...wha haha....sorry thats the fact....a9 pro user also here from philippines...

  • It was the batteries made by Samsung that were having the issues..... now they are trying to lie their way?

  • I'm buying note 5 with contract $149.00 dollars, which is cheaper and better than explosion...

  • 0.0024% of non-Chinese batteries are overheating. Samsung is replacing all non-China phones with new phones, which will be available for all Note 7 owners on Monday (Sept 19) in the UK, and on Wednesday (Sept 21) in the US. (The US CPSC introduced a 2 day red tape delay.) It's a non-inssue, really. But the whole issue has become something of a storm in a teacup, with insurance fraudsters faking their Jeeps burning up, and parents fraudulently claiming that their kids were burned.

  • If this device is available in China with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM, why is that model not available in North America?

  • Yes it is blasting

  • I heard that note 7 mobile phones were blasting in US Yes or No

  • Can someone tell me if i can buy this phone in the US?

  • wow , global recall

  • right. i have less than 3000 mah and i feel bad about it.. 3500 is a good one to start with...

  • ^ You can spot the people right away who never owned the Note7. The negative people are usually the most vocal and with the least experience with device compared to real owners. Glad the real owners are coming out and saying they love the device. Real owners are more specific and detailed. The ones with the corny puns are ones who have never owned it or used it long enough. Can't afford it or can only play around with it inside the store. Haha.. So they try to be funny here or find reasons not to buy it because they can't afford it or love iPhone or a different brand so much. But they will make a sweeping generalization with a device they never owned anyway...

  • Stylus gets stuck in the phone all the time. sending it back

  • First, re-search about technology and then come back and make a point. 3500mAh isn't that bad at all, I believe you have less than 3500mAh

  • I wasn't sure I was going to like my new note 7. I had an HTC ONE MAX. My old phone had a 5.9" screen so I felt like this phone might be too small. I must say the Note 7 is really impressive. The screen is gorgeous. You can even take the blue tint out of the screen now. The battery life is incredibly long. There is a new swipe to capture screen feature. I like its light weight feel. I don't like the back arrow being on the right instead of left and I don't like phone goes to mute not vibrate when you turn the volume all the way down ( which means you might miss some calls). In all I really love this phone. I recommend getting one or two.

  • carell did the great job ! she fixed my phone yesterday but right now my phone is totally dead =( sad lyf =(

  • You just have provided your personal opinion. Be Technical, Think Technology.

  • 100% right

  • pika ! pikachu !!! mark did the great job ..yehey !!!

  • rio did the great job to fix the issue

  • I love my Note 7 excellent size excellent finishing and camera qulality its good slim and cute phone Samsung always has the best phones( i love note 7 ................................

  • say wat now???

  • Lej

  • yeah! :D

  • rain said it was good !!!

  • I love my Note 7 excellent battery excellent everything Samsung always has the best phones

  • If we threw you off a cliff, would you survive ?

  • yes ur right.

  • So all versions of the phone support the same cellular bands? no matter what carrier its on?

  • This phone has been thrown off a cliff and it did not survive, what did you expect ?

  • The browser speed could be the same as note 5 because USA model of Note 7 has the same processor speed as Note 5, while international model of Note 7 has faster processor speed. I yet have to test the international model of Note 7. Regardless of the processor, stutter and scrolling lag on some websites still is not gone on Note 7. Come on Samsung, Google! This is 2016!

  • I tested this phone intensive at T-Mobile store. 1) Nothing feels faster than Note 5 ( chrome browser doesn't load pages any faster, phone commands and apps dont open any faster) 2) IPhone style interface looks stupid and ugly (must download old samsung launcher) 3) Phone looks more smaller than already small enough Note 5, because of the stupid curved display 4) Samsung interface still lags comparing to LG, Sony or other brands I recommend Galaxy A9 Pro which has a larger and normal non curved display and a larger 5000 mAh battery.

  • nooob battery

  • The Galaxy Note 7 does not have a 4K display. 4K is commonly defined as 3840 x 2160.

  • haha right.same thing with apple.because appple and samsung make their own socs they can understand it and make optimization better on it.sd is made by another company so it take time to make the software work better on it coz samsung wont be as familiar as they are with their own chips.good point man

  • I think it's a compatibility problem with LTE bands that's preventing Samsung using Exynos chips in the States. If that wasn't an issue, possibly Samsung would sell both versions in USA. Just a thought.

  • It's a 2K screen.

  • Yeah, 4K is 3840x2160, not 4096!

  • That's incorrect calculation.

  • Good point. Exynos is usually kept for the international versions. Why no choice in the US? One may never know......

  • If what are you saying si true, then there wouldn't be Snapdragon-powered Samsung phones, don't you think?

  • Price group 9/10 huahahhah Price group 11/10 real

  • Perhaps but remember when the first NOTE and the second NOTE came into the market lots of people were laughing about the screen size and stylus ! From the start Samsung consider the Note as a biz phone and so far the only phone on the market that has a stylus that really works well . It will takes quiet a while for other phone makers to get to the same level in stylus performance therefore Samsung will not have any competition in that regard .

  • Not bad but Exynos 8890 Octa version is better. TouchWiz UI isn't properly optimized for Snapdragon processors, it works way more smoothly on Exynos processors.

  • Can be used in Thailand or not.

  • 4GB of RAM is great for this phone I know allot of people want more but I have done some research and dug up this info about Android and RAM usage. Android performs better under more RAM usage than less usage so all those process killing apps do more harm than good. By harm I mean you will have less battery life than if you left it alone and let Android handle the RAM as it will do a better job than you will. My battery life on my Note 5 is really good since I got rid of those app killing apps. One other thing don't fully deplete a Lithium battery pack to 0% that's bad for it as Lithium batteries don't have a memory like Ni-Cad's do. You can train a Lithium battery pack by depleting it to around 5% then charge it while turning the phone off and let it charge till full or keep it on but don't use it till fully charged. My thoughts for this phone are that it will be an amazing phone an miles ahead of the Note 5 plus the battery pack that's in it is great. No it don't need a 4,000MaH battery pack why since the Note 5 Samsung has been using Lithium-Polymer batteries and those are better than the Lithium-Ion batteries that are in the Galaxy S line. THe Note 4 had 3,220MaH Lithium-Ion battery pack and the Note 5 has a 3,000MaH Lithium-Polymer battery pack and the Note 5 has better battery life despite having a lower MaH battery pack than the Note 4 so it don't need more than what it has. You can compare the Note 7 to the S7 Edge and you will see that the Note 7 will have better battery life than the S7 Edge easy. Can't wait to get this phone love that the SD card slot was revived not that I really need it as I have a Dash Micro SD card adapter that fits into a Micro USB port and is really small and don't get in the way. I definitely recommend this phone hands down.

  • It doesn't say anywheret that the display is 4k.

  • It has qhd display, not 4k. Qhd is 2560*1440 4k is 4096*2160, that's a huge difference.

  • I like it

  • My thoughts exactly, more is not always better. It will drain the battery in no time

  • Silver Note 7 comes in tomorrow from AT&T. Can't wait! Gonna be a big upgrade from my S5!

  • Yes

  • does the note 7 come with edge screen ?

  • Nice Phone.

  • Let's have that conversation again in a few months, when Nougat with multi-window app multi-tasking rolls out. I understand how the OS ditches idle apps when need to keep a healthy dose of free ram available, my point is a phone like the OnePlus 3, which has 6gb of ram, won't have to be doing that as aggressively under heavy use. Loading and unloading data to ram requires power, less back and forth equals less power consumption. Currently, it is hard to load over 4gb on the OnePlus 3, with all social apps active, it is possible, as they are the worst. However like a said, when Nougat comes out i am ready to bet it will be much easier. Time will tell, hopefully you are right and i am wrong.

  • RAM can only help if it is used. No phone is using 6GB presently. Android uses a base working set and then caches in programs used by regular programs to fill up to around 1.8GB. Even a note 4 has over 1GB of 'free' ram. 4GB is plenty future proof. SAMSUNG uses fast RAM and storage -both offset loading times-the only thing 'more ram' can help with. Not all ram is created equal or implemented well I agree on old touchwiz being 'laggy'. New method shouldn't be...

  • I'm sorry my comment on this particular product hurt you so much, though i assure you my opinion is based on my own observation, not belief. I am glad you enjoy your Samsung product so much, you seem very passionate about it. However, i was answering somebody else's question about this phone, and my point is as valid despite your passion for this companies product line. Let's agree to disagree and not wish each other harm or trips to Pluto.

  • Ppl like you should be shipped to Pluto asap! Never content, never satisfied and always have something negative to say. After major overhaul of Touchwiz with positive feedbacks from users using the newest Galaxy line you have tiny balls to say that Touchwiz is unstable. BTW is GraceUX now not Touchwiz. Maybe purchasing the Galaxy note5 or note7 might help in cooling down your negativity or don't buy from Samsung ever again. And you should be in the Note 4 section complaining not here.

  • Thanks.

  • Trying to find common ground with the other users who complain that 4GB RAM is not enough. 3GB is quite adequate while using mobile applications. TouchWiz itself is RAM hungry, so user actually will get approximately 3GB usable RAM.

  • it does have a 4k display boi

  • this handset is very good ,and his feturs very easy, all and all feturs includint in phone application do smoot workly,, and i give suggest all person for purchase this phone so i request all of you guise purchaseing it fhone,,,,,thank you

  • I think he was exaggerating, however, 6gb wouldn't be a luxury considering that Touchwiz is a memory hog and Samsung isn't particularly good at ram managing. Simply put, a phone with the same specs running default android OS would outperform the Samsung managed phone. An extra 2 G's of ram, like the Chinese version is getting, would compensate for that weakness. Bare in mind, when you see benchmarks online, they are done on test phones with little clutter, cache cleared, all memory freed by app cleaners. The poor ram management becomes more apparent after 3-4 days of normal use and with all the clutter we add (widgets, apps ect..) Last point, i feel like 6gb would be a little bit more future proof. I am on the market for a new phone now so my next one will most likely be in 2019, Since my Note 4 had 3gb and is somewhat suffering at the moment, i expect my 2016 1000$ phone to have more than 4...

  • dont buy at&t it suck... just like my n910a note4 get no update for marshmallow... almost all note4 series already get for it...

  • Yeah but considering the low(er) clocks of the SD820 it's actually surprisingly close to the Multi-core scores of the 8890. But yeah, ur right too. :-D

  • I would have preferred 6 GB of RAM and the 821 Chip. I think Samsung may have a rude awakening soon, when the cheap Chinese manufacturers really start hitting the Western Markets

  • Oh what the heck. To keep some of you happy maybe it should have 16GB RAM, 1 terabyte of storage, a 6000ma battery, a 4K display, 30mp camera, have 4mm thickness, weigh 120g, go two weeks on a single charge and cost 100 dollars. Geeze.

  • Its RAM should be 6GB, battery should be 4000-4500mAh and camera should be 16-20MP.

  • what for?

  • note 7 has glass back just like s7 s6 note 5 but note 6 has glass back but it's cancelled

  • note 7 has glass back just like s7 s6 and note 5 but note 6 is not here anymore

  • i was really hoping for 12gb of ram.

  • The Note series has gone backwards, less features for more money. Compare the features of the Note 4 with all the released phones in the series released after it. Samsung continues to go backwards. I am done, the note 6 edge plus is absolute junk and they have no chance in selling me a note 7.

  • well i think ram and 4k display and processors drain battery fast so i really think if they bump up the camera for 12 to 16 with same dual focus feature that would be g8 rest of other feature will be not issue in day to day use.

  • I was really hoping that this was to be released with a 6gb RAM. Instead we get 4. I don't really care for the 128gb built in memory, but a bigger ram would have been nice on this device. Also battery life would've sweet if it were to be bigger. S7 vs Note 7?¿? Not much difference. I really think that the larger RAM would really set it apart. Oh wells.

  • Battery not upto the specs

  • Why Temperature sensor has been taken out from Samsung handsets? any technical reason?

  • Samsung seems to have struck a very good balance with the factors of RAM, storage, screen size and resolution, battery, body form and size, weight, features and price. I am going to buy one to replace my Note 4.

  • There will be a 6gig model for china only

  • If they had put in an ir blaster, made it thinner and put a 4k screen with larger battery it would have been the best phone ever made

  • No gold color for the USA :v

  • At last Android falls in love with Great SYMBIAN....

  • These very expensive phone looks great with symbian belle icons

  • wonder full

  • its 1kb

  • its 4gb of ram.:(

  • 4 gb ram

  • Does this Note7 is coming with Dual SIM

  • But before three Months Ago when i read the information about the Note 7 RAM was 6GB but now it is 4GB please anyone can give the information about the RAM? The RAM is 6 or 4 GB?

  • Yes.. certinly.. it is duos.. double SIM 👍

  • Awesome design & specs + Perfect with dust proof & water resistant !

  • Can someone please let us know if Samsung has any plan of coming out with double sim on this Note 7

  • Gys 100% aggry with note 7 i will buy after 4 days

  • come on dude exynos has 8 cores while sd 820 has only 4 so its obvious here that who is gonna win on multi core test.by the way sd 820 is better in terms of cpu and gpu.its weak point is battery life.and the strong point of exynos is battery and performance both balanced out.thats why exynos is better coz it does not sacrifice both performance and battery unlike sd 820 which sacrifices a little more battery than that of exynos in favour of more performance

  • you know sd820 has better gpu and cpu power.the real reason why exynos is better is beacause of its balanced performance that it gives.i mean to say that sd820 is only powerful and not that battery efficient.and exynos is balanced which means it has 50% performance 50% battery efficiency rather than sd 820's 40% battery and 60% performance.so if your are a power user i say go for sd 820 and if you want better battery life without sacrificing performance then exynos is the way to go

  • The Note7 looks way better than the Note 5 and way more fancier than the S7 edge!

  • By getting Note se7en I'll have the most technologically upgradeable device so far as owning Note 3 😃

  • Qualcomm owns patents regarding CDMA, which is only really used in the USA.

  • No they shouldn't release an international version of sd820 bcz the homemade exynos is way better and the gpu is better and the only reason that made samsung choosing sd820'in america is bcz it supports """i think""" cat 12 which is used in usa

  • NO

  • Totally agree Why not releasing the 820 also for the rest of the world?

  • Dude!! There is an international market one for that purpose!!

  • Will it come in Non-Edge shape, like regular screen and not curved?

  • Hi Ok, thanks ...

  • There are numerous issues related to these models, last time I brought an Australian model when I took it home, I was unable to connect 4G

  • Well the Exynos 8890 Octa is somewhat better overall than the Snapdragon 820, especially in the Geekbench multi-core test.

  • I'd like to buy it but, until Samsung release a version for Africa.

  • Hi 90 OyrO less than other versions!!! Hey Sammy!? What's difference we & US people!? Huh!? ...
