True. By Default Software Optimize For Battery Life Isn't Great. Tends To Drain Fast When Use Especially For Games, But To Me It Doesn't Matters As I Am Using Three Different Model (2 Flagship & 1 Low End Device From Samsung). This High-End Device Still A Beast When Comes To Gaming Still Better Than Most Of The Newer Low-Mid Tier Device.

Yes, I got it off Ebay auction. It is fully working and unlocked, but screen and back glass is smashed. Screen was still fully functional, but I decided to replace it, and I picked up one for about 50$. I'm still waiting for back glass and metal frame to arrive, and I ordered that for about 15$ both. So yeah, I'm going to fully restore it basically.

I just got this one for 26$, and I'm just going to use it as a backup phone if something goes wrong with my A9 2018. But yeah, I need to change screen on mine since it's broken, but I won't spend too much on it since I will do it by myself. But yeah, it still seems like a decent phone if you get it for low amount of money. But what I wanted to ask is, should I also change the battery since I will need to disassemble the whole phone? And I saw that battery is bad on this model, and also add years of usage of previous owner.

s6 edge in year 2019? tbh the camera is pretty good for 2019, social media app performance is pretty good, gaming? I can feel lag (not bad though) when playing PUBG mobile with lowest graphics settings, well the OLED screen is pretty good with 2560*1440p which is better than most cheap phones but as you know, OLED is prone to burn-in so if you want to buy used phone, better look at the screen first.

It depends on what kind of user you are. If you use a lot of social media apps, forget it...the batery wont last half a day. If you, like me, are a person who uses the phone to play music, text and call once in a while, it will last you one day... Amazing camera tho. Best regards

Had it for just over a year before selling it back. loved it until the final mouth when the phone started slowing down because of android 7.0, overall would recommend as a great budget phone as long as you keep it from installing android 7.0

This phone is really amazing.Especially the display and the camera. The only downside is the battery.The battery goes down very fast and when it's not on fast charging, you will charge it for 5 to 6 hours to get it up to 100, which can be very frustrating

Make sure you use the correct cable and a charger that can supply the required power before blaming the phone. Not all cables are equal. I have 4 that charge at different rates across 3 different phones from S3 - S4 and S6E. Use the cable and charger designed for the phone.

You are probably not using the correct cable with the correct charger. Charger needs to be capable of supplying the voltage and current but only does so with the right cable. I have 4 different cables and they all charge at different rates. PLUS dont always do a fast charge - it will kill the battery. OK once in a while but you have to sleep sometime so try a slower charge during those hours to save the life of your battery.

Then you have an issue with the phone itself. Also dont always do a fast charge. THAT will kill the battery faster than a normal charge due to inefficiencies caused by heat. My phone is 4 years old and still going strong no battery issues and i have shut down and/or disabled apps i dont use. Then installed others and done a virus check.

You may need to consider actually shutting down apps when you are finished with them. Use the lower left button then bring up a window that lists everything you have had open. Also try using the section for the battery under setting and shut down apps you dont need. You dont need everything running 24/7.

You need to remember to hit the bottom left button then shut down apps after use EVERYTIME. You probably also have WIFI and Data on all the time too. Maybe GPS also. There are a bunch of features that can be shut down to increase battery life and there is another app under (battery) that gives 3 options for increasing battery and phone efficiency.

Well I`ve been given a 2nd hand (S6 Edge) phone with a cracked screen and after doing a factory reset I havent had any issues what so ever BUT it took me over 2 days to go through the EULAs installed and I suggest everyone do the same. It`s a matter of privacy and a bunch of items you may not want enabled to also save further power.

Surprisingly this phone screen doesn't get scratches unlike new phones from all vendors. The vendors of new phones are focusing on installing bloatware, appalling android customization (MIUI, EMUI, Samsung UI...and the list goes on), stupid finger/face sensors (easy to get around if you "borrow" your target's finger or head) etc for niincompoops. Those days are gone when vendors were concentrated on making your phones tougher.

Battery is shit and if it wasn't for that it's a very good phone. You have to charge the phone twice or + everyday, but it will always die down by the end of the day. Had lots of issues because of it, makes me feel unsafe when I'm out at night.

this phone is worthless. i've used photo layers and it sometimes wasn't working (or always), and i had to restart my whole phone like 17 times and everytime i restart it photo layers stops every 30 seconds and about 30 minutes later i was on camera and i tried to take a photo when i had like 117 gb, and it still said not enough memory. and i restarted my phone again and it still said it. so i had to use a camera online and it said i wasn't connected to the internet, so i looked at my wi-fi, it was gone, and i tried to reconnect it, it said i needed the password, and it took me like far over 5 minutes to get it back.

Still rockin this phone. Rear camera is amazing. Performance can still compete with todays flagships. The only downside is the battery. Even with all the optimization like turning off unwanted background apps to save power, it drains fast. On the flip side, charges fast too.

Camera is good, curved edges looks super nice, but there is 2 problems battery life is short good thing that it charges fast and another problem it gets hot very fast. But overall its good in Antutu app its scored 119000 scores. Its hardware is great it can run most of todays games and apps without lag. Its way better than some todays mid range devices.

The latest flagship high end devices are always the best like Samsung S9, HTC U12, etc. This 3 year old flagship device S6 edge is definitely better than any midrange devices of 2018. The QHD amoled display, the superior cameras and the super blaze CPU speed. The only problem is the battery backup. You'll need to charge it once daily if you are a light user, but a heavy gamer needs to charge it twice daily.

It all depends on what you are doing with the phone, how strong a signal you recieve etc The S6 edge is a great phone BUT I did find the battery was a big let down. It does have fast charging though which is a real positive. One word of warning if you are buying a USED S6 edge BEWARE as the battery does deteriate over time and considering the phone was launched some time ago then that battery may of been charged hundreds of times.

The only thing you can try is to buy a spray (don't remember the name) which is ment to clean the electric connections from oxyding giving back the power flowing again. I done on my S4 time ago and been working very well

If it is stuck on Samsung logo and Logo keeps shining then your phone is hanged on boot. Unfortunately you have to reset it factory default and your all existing data will be lost.

The problem is in OTG Cable, not the phone. This happened to me when I was usng an OTG. Every time I put it into the tablet or the phone, device waits for a few minutes and thn shows a screen like I destroyed it and restarts. So it became an USB Killer or it just does not work properly.

The word "waterproof" and "resistance" is different. No phone is waterproof and we talked whether S6 edge does have water resistance or splash resistance.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is still a great phone in 2018. The biggest gripe ive heard was that people had to replace their batter after two years. Which to me should be expected seeing how often we all use our phones these days. The External Audio is great! Samsung hand down makes the best Screen's and this one is no slouch. If your a power USER this is still a great phone; its very snappy and quick to respond. For a phone released in 2015 it was certainly cutting edge... and it still holds up to many phones being released in 2018. My question to everyone would be : "why wouldnt you still want a S6?" it was and still is a great phone. Did i mention is has a 3.5mm audio Jack =)

No, S6 series doesn't have any ingress protection. You can read on Wikipedia that S6 series doesn't have that. It's possible for Samsung to removed them. If S5 has microSD card slot, so do you think it's impossible that S6 doesn't have that? This one is like headphone jack stories. But luckily they put them back on S7 and newer devices.

Nougat mostly crashes this S6 lineups. X Compact is better alternative bcuz it's newer than S6, but raises little bit your budget and try to get S7 / S7 edge. While S6 isn't bad either, just good luck with Nougat on S6, or even Oreo update.

The S6 Edge will get warm when playing quite demanding games and on the odd occasion you will find yourself closing an app down because it feels as if the phone is getting a bit warmer than you would like it. The Battery is one of the biggest let downs about this phone. I would consider myself a fairly heavy user (including games) and I would find myself charging the phone twice a day, maybe even more sometimes but again I am a heavy user. On the plus side the battery charges up fairly quickly on fast charge. Just one more thing to point out about the battery. I had my S6 Edge for approx 2 years and I did notice that the batteries performance decrease significantly over that period. So WATCH OUT if you are buying a second hand S6 Edge, that battery may of been charged hundreds of times!! It probably sounds like I'm being a bit negative about the phone but I'm just answering the questions that you asked as honestly as I can. I loved my S6 Edge (upgraded to S8 Plus) it was, and still is, a fantastic phone.

I have just traded this phone in for a S8 Plus. I loved my S6 edge, a real classy bit of kit. The screen is awesome, amazing, there is not that many phones on the market that will compete with the display on an S6 edge, and you have to remember that this phone is now over two years old! The power and performance of the phone, no problems there, and I would almost guarantee you will find no problems with the sheer power of the S6 Edge for any task you want to throw at it. Gaming was a breeze on my S6 Edge, handled anything, sometimes the phone got a bit warm, yeah, but I never thought at anytime "OMG, this thing is gonna blow up " the phone just got a bit warm, and you could feel it doing so, when playing particular games that required quite a lot of the phones resources. .......OMG, hope you dont now think that the S6 Edge heating up during some gaming sessions was a problem. It wasn't. The S6 Edge can feel a bit 'strange' in the hand compared to other phones....once again it's not a big problem, in fact it's not a problem at all, and don't believe reviews when they say it "cuts into your hands ........that is simply an exageration!.......Yeah its got like Uhmm ....ok, jaggy edges is a bit over the top and perhaps not the right word but you do feel the sides of the phone in your hand whilst holding it when making/taking a call for example......... But lets put this into some kind of perspective, and let me reassure you by saying that I have never needed to seek medical attention from simply holding a S6 Edge. Ok, here is that bad bit! But before I do can I just quickly mentiin the great camera? ......Ok, ..The BIG flaw.....Yeah, it's the battery......if you are a light user of your mobile then I don't think you will find it a problem, but if you a perhaps a average to heavy user then you are going to be saying to yourself relentlessly "OMG, I wish the battery would last longer" BUT on the plus side, the phone has FAST charging capabilities, so the phone wont take long to charge, you can do a full charge in less than an hour and a half, even just a ten-15 minute charge will give you surprising results.

As I understand it, nougat for S6 edge is being rolled out in stages.Your service provider then needs to test it, in my case my service provider is three mobile (uk) My advice is to contact your service provider, you will most likely get a better indication of timescale for update to nougat for your S6 edge. I know its hard but the key here us patience. Incidently if it helps here us what three mobile (uk) is saying as regards to the update, they posted this very recently. The phone's performance is still good in 2017. The only thing bad about it is battery life, though it recharges very quickly due to quick charge. My phone is 18 months old, so it lost about 25-50% of its battery capacity.

Hi guys, just got my update for my s6 edge from Malaysia. From a few hours of using it, i have some observations. Firstly, I'm not sure if it was intentional to make it feel rigid. Like more machine. Like it's still smooth but it's not fluid anymore. I'm not sure how to explain this or it's just my unit. Secondly, overall it's still pretty nice just that there are stock android UI changes incorporated that you would need to get used to like the new notification and quick toggles look. The new features like blue light filter is finally here and also the ability to reply straight out of the notification bar. The font size of the clock time at the top right has also changed to become smaller. No info on battery life yet as i need some time to test it out. Hope this gives you guys an idea of what you're getting into when you update. Let me know if there's anything you would like me to try out.

BAD Samsung product: I spent $975 on Samsung S6 edge phone and it died 22 months later. I was using the camera with 80% battery and it went dead after that. I did not drop the phone, I did not do any damage to it whatsoever. I have an iphone s5 lasted about 4 years and still working. Sony TV, playstation, xbox , computers, ipads and so on lasted many years. BAD Samsung Service: I went through troubleshooting with Samsung and they decided that it cannot be fixed. I will have to pay for repair it myself. Warranty is only 1 year. They will not help with paying for repair. They will not even going to send me a mailer or box so I can mail the phone in to their repair service center. It shows how CHEAP Samsung is when they charge me for the premium. NO service center (unlike Apple): Option 1: They want to send me to Best Buy and I have to pay for the service myself, they do not have a service center. Options 2: I will have to mail the phone in. It will take 11 business days. Who on earth will go without a phone for 11 business days or more than 2 weeks if you include weekends? Also, I read online that many complained about Samsung and claimed they don't receive the phone or the phone screen is broken during transit.

PRO/CON The phone has a 3.5 mm AUX jack, a 1440p display, 16 mp camera (which is honestly a great phone camera) and a bunch of exclusive versions of apps and exclusive themes (which I don't personally use but they are most great). BUT (at least on mine) the camera lens glass was brittle and shattered within 2 months after purchase, the entire back is glass so you NEED a case on it, its a small battery and will barely last 6 hours (on varied usage), no expandable storage, and the phone heats up very very fast (in one spot). Overall it would be an above average starter phone, a great casual user phone and even a great phone for someone who uses who needs something pretty. But if you need anything more I would recommend a different phone

If you want better battery life, smaller display or iOS, SE, if you want curved display, brighter display, more customizability and probably better camera, S6 edge, if you want a cheaper s6, A series(i prefer 2017 if you care about new software, Water Resistance, 2017, if you dont care as much on that extra features or want a even cheaper a series, 2016 is probably one of the best, if not the best cheaper s6) or buy the regular s6 if you dont want the curved display or a cheaper s6 EDGE, BUT, if you have patience, wait when the s8 is out in the markets(in april so patience) and the s6 and the even better s7 will lower the price so if you REALLY want the s7 but not having enough money, wait in april-may and s7 will become cheap, Hope it helps for your choice

S6 has no air gesture feature. &#304;f you want this feature, it only exists in note 4. All the flagship samsung models have an on/off option in the settings menu about air gesture feature but only at note 4 you can activate and actually use it.

Yeah, Samsung batteries sometimes die pretty quickly and you never expect that. You have to replace it. I had to replace batteries for s3 mini two times, s4, tab3 10, tab 3 7.0. I don't know whats wrong with Samsung batteries. Maybe poor quality control?

That this phone I have never caught fire like the Galacy s7 or the note 7. I love my s6 edge and plan on keeping it for awhile. I am so happy for Samsung. My Story.... Last year I got a S6 Edge when I was in Africa and then the next day I came to India. Upon begining to use the device I realized the display is getting hairline scratches just by keeping it in a pocket without any keys or any sharp objects. Latter I checked on google and learnt itz a known issue with 20% S6 Edge device. I contacted Smsung Service Centre in India and they were not willing to help claiming that I have to contact Samsung Africa. That has upset me to the core. I am not going back to Afrixa so how can I contact them. I stuck a tamper glass and the flip case to prevent further damage. I hate tamper glass on my phone. After few weeks I realized battery drain issue. Till now I have to charge the phone 3 times a day. Samsung did not help me fix my US $760 phone and now they had a loss of billion $ for the Note7. Serves them just right. I am happy with my iphone 7 plus. S6 edge is just a secondary phone..

Don't believe everything you read. Some people take delight in posting negative comments without ever owning the phone. I have an s6 now for over 12 months and have had absolutely no problems with it. It is powerful and fast has a great camera and beautiful display. I highly recommend it but of course the choice is yours. Good luck.

Oneplus 3T would be a good choice, it has superior specs compared to the s6 edge e.g 6gb DDR4 RAM, a 3400 mAh battery, Snapdragon 821, etc. i've ordered it myself, it will take a while to arrive and the OnePlus 3 isn't in stock anymore (as for where i live)

Plus I have both one plus 3 and s6 edge and I can say both camera and screen wise s6 edge is par ahead. but yes in terms of battery my one plus 3 lasts longer but than its upto usage. I would suggest you blindly go for s6 edge as it damn gorgeous and screen and camera are way too good than one plus 3. only thing is you will have to do away with 32gb of memory which is not expandable. so make your choice keeping your priorities wise. I loved my s6 edge I haven't had it a year and it is slow. You have to hit something several times before it opens that app up. I thought maybe I had to much stuff on it so I deleted a lot of apps and deleted alot of photos and videos but it still slow and frezze up on me. My messages take a few minutes to open and when my phone rings sometimes it shows a black seen so you can't answer the phone. I can type everything and be done before it finishes putting or on the screen and sometimes doubles my words. My phone has updates a few times and I don't like it anymore ready to did a new phone

Samsung 6 edge is a bad product. Samsung is an irresponsible company. They charge so much for their phone yet they don't help you recover the data once it is damaged. They don't want to even know about you when you have a problem with their product. I have had on going problem with the edge screen. often it stops a lot of apps working properly. it causes mistakes with typing when unintended. I also had problems with google maps on the Samsung 6 edge. Often, it is hard to have the direction correct and even the position and often i got lost because google maps got lost. is it the android software or is it the phone? either way, the whole product combined were not working properly. We are not talking about a cheap product. it is quite expensive and it is a less than a mediocre product. I will make sure I advise anyone who wants a smart phone to avoid the Samsung product. it is terrible in quality and not worth the money and headache. I lost all my valuable data for the third time this year because the samsun backup never worked and when I connected my phone to upload the pics onto my macbook it wouldn't work and many times I tried to do backup that never worked to the point now that I lost all this data and SAmsung don't want to help.

When I first got this phone I loved it, but that love has now turned to hate. To start with the microphone went. Then after 3 months of owning the phone, we went to bed as usual left the phone downstairs on its own no animals or objects to fall on it. Woke up the next morning picked up the phone and a crack had appeared and the screen didn't work, it hadn't been left on charge and was still in the same place I left it. I'd love to say Samsung have been helpful but after 2 weeks of contacting them sending the phone to be "inspected", the only answer I get is "it was caused by an impact" when the fact is it wasn't. They also are trying to say I caused a high power surge in the phone in this imaginary impact. Yet when I spoke to my network provider they say the crack in the screen was most likely caused by the power surge. Which makes sense to everyone but Samsung. After speaking to Samsung numerous times and being left on hold while they all went home knowing no one would answer. All they can do is call me a liar. Which I really am offended at. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

However the only problem i faced yet is the network problem, as mine S6 egde doesnot work on 3g network but works smoothly on 2g and 4g network. Everything is good about this phone, display, camera, processor etc, but battery life is real disappointment here, even after using black theme and lesser brightness I can hardly manage 5 hr. of SOT (screen on time), multitasking is also so bad, minimise any app and you have to start from main screen after switching over it. FIngerprint scanner is also not like a flagship quality, many times it refuses to recognise touch input, out of 10 attempt it works for 8 times at least. I had chosen it over Oneplus 3 and honor 8, because its camera and small form factor is what I needed, but battery life is spoiling all joy of using new phone. Still there is fast charging available so there is something good in all bad. At last I wish it would not blow in my jeans pocket.

Hi, Over 3 weeks ago my new Samsung S6 Edge that I just got from Fido broke. I've only had it for 6 months (purchased in March 2016). It was working fine until September 24th the screen went static without me doing anything to it and the phone won't turn off. Samsung retail store and Fido weren't helpful because they suggested to send it off to head quarters to get it replaced (meaning that I will lose all my data including 1800ish photos). The Samsung rep did not even suggest that I should go to a Samsung technician to at least get it looked at (I'm trying to say that he was not helpful or informative at all. Seems like all he cares about is sales). So I went to a Samsung technician all the way in Surrey to retrieve my data. After a few days they said that they weren't able to retrieve the data because the mother board was fried! No water damage no nothing! The phone just decided to die on me which led me to believe that I got a defective phone. So I called Samsung support to see if I could get an S7 or S7 Edge instead of an S6 Edge because S6 Edge doesn't have a memory card slot and I don't trust it anymore. If I can save my data in a memory card instead of in the internal memory at least I can avoid losing important data. What if this happens again short after the one year warranty is over? He said he could not replace it with a different version because the warranty will only allowed a replacement of the same phone. I wouldn't take no for an answer and he was going to submit an escalation to suggest my demands to his managers and send me an email confirmation the next day which I haven't received and it's been 5 days now. I was an iPhone user for 9 years until I decided to switch to Samsung. I have to say I am very disappointed in Samsung!

Out of all the phones I have had,this isnt the worst but its nowhere near the best.Battery life was horrible,even with rooting and debloating it,over/underclocked it and fiddled with the governers but was still never able to get more than 2 hours worth of ost. All in all its built well but you better make sure you have a case,all glass is bad mmkay..Great to look at,feels great in hands but is very fragile. Camera is pretty good,speakerphone isnt too bad,phone itself its pretty quick,OS+TW UI is toned down but had several freezes..

Let the first to do is make sure you are already using Marshmallow update (android6.0.1) the first step, ways to increase the battery standby time is tweak your built-in Doze (whitelist app that you want to use) then download the app called Greenify, after you install it do the same tweaks like Built in a doze, then go to Greenify setting then tap on agreesive Doze (experimental) enable it, to a make sure its work / active in 1 minute please scroll down to Debug option = Notification then enable it. I think it's a placebo effect Scorpio. After resetting my phone, i can say same about my S6 Edge under Lollipop. Fingerprint unlocking works faster than ever, almost no delay when entering phone app or messages etc.. Resetting a phone helps restoring something we are forgetting with time : original smoothness. I don't miss any feature of Marshmallow because i talked with some buddies of mine when it got released, we compared features and there was nothing which could attract me. Reading many forums and comments about the troubles possible didn't help either. I also have updated my S5 to Marshmallow, there's hardly a difference with it under lollipop so this nailed the subject for me. And beyond that, i had made a topic on issues to solve for S6 Edge on sammobile which seemed to be one of the closest from Samsung.. I didn't find any other way to remove that update notification excepted than : -remove simcard -backup everything i wanted to keep (contacts/messages/multimedia files) -reset phone -skip wifi setup (to prevent it from checking for updates, that's the 1st thing it does). -Disable auto-update checking and reboot phone. Now i'm fine with 5.1.1 without any feature removed unlike Marshmallow updates.

After charging my samsung s6 edge up to 100% smart manager says that it will last up to 8hrs and 35mins. But after using my phone i thought that the battery is not doing fine. After 4hrs and 25mins my phone's dead. I dont believe that its 18hrs battery capacity and 50hrs for music. That's a lie i think.

I was highly considering this phone because it is offered with $0.00 down on contract by many providers while the S7 edge is $400 down. Disappointingly though, there is no MTL or micro-HDMI support, and I'm not sure I want to pay $400 simply for this option. It's unfortunate that options such as video out and storage that were almost standard on Smartphones a few years ago are now considered luxuries. I am having great difficulty finding a phone geared for productivity rather than gaming, fashion or just being a status symbol.

No, it won't lag. Gone are the days when touch wiz ui was slow and laggy. The performance is very snappy just a tad slower than vanilla android but it's still fast. It has great camera and takes great pictures whatever the lighting conditions are. The only downside for me is the battery. It's horrible, on average I only get 1.5-2.5 hrs sot on a single charge, I go to work with a full battery and by the time I go home I have 30% left. The good thing is it has fast charging, it goes from 0-100% in just about 1 hr 20 min. Overall I should say it is a great phone.

i have the 32GB version and I haven't experienced any type of lag. the camera is great. The screen is very nice, has a decent sunlight brightness.. the edge screen is useless to be honest, however you do have an option to personalize it but its a personal thing but it looks cool and it feels good when you scroll down to something. ill recommend you to buy a screen protector. even tho it has gorilla glass 4, my screen got scratches. the front camera captures a lot and the back camera is great too. I still haven't received marshmellow so I cant talk you about that but lollipop is fine for me. The battery doesn't long last for me but that's cause I use it a lot. just to tell you, like 4-5 hours of youtube and phone is done. so if that's good for you then go for it. It charges very quick tho. games run good, same as apps. no issues for that so there you have it

Yeah, Samsung is not good, they change model S5 to S6 edge within 6months without testing their products properly and the S6 edge getting issues with corrosion in the port charger which I've always took care of, it's always protected by a phone cover & never been water damaged, now it couldn't charger properly and takes 10 hours to fully charge Samsung doesn't accept to repair it and one of Samsung team member say I have to pay for the repairs. It's very sad for someone to buy expensive phone and still paying his phone headset's plan and within 6months of used getting this kind of isuues. Do not recommend Samsung products at all. iPhone is much better which still have a working one for 7 years and even other brand like Htc, LG, Sony, Huwai or others which I'm pretty would take responsibility for.

This phone will suddenly stop working with the message 'unfortunately, cocktailbar service has stopped'. I took it to the samsung service centre and they said the only way to restore it was to do do a complete factory reset. You will lose all your data because the automatic backup does not work (the message keeps popping up every few milliseconds thus stopping you from doing anything else). This is a recurrent fault, to do with the edge screen, and Samsung are refusing to acknowledge it. Beware buying this phone.

Utter junk! After a while it will come up with 'Unfortunately, Cocktailbar service has stopped', which is related to the edge screen and at that point the phone becomes totally unusable as there is no way of getting rid of the error - resetting does not work. You know what i have to say. This phone eats a lot of battery life. For some reasons playing music player by default battery life from 100 to 90% for an hour. I reformat once and there was no problem after that same thing happen. Not sure whats wrong but this aint normal.

You don't have to worry about edge cracks when it falls on ground. Though I highly recommend to go for spigen ultra rugged case for better protection if you are worried about cracks when it falls. With this case My phone slipped more than couple of times from 5 feet but nothing happened. Also S6 edge screen is quite strong it won't crack or scratch easily.

Hi, I have had s6 edge for about 10 months now. It performed really well. But suddenly FAST CHARGING has stopped working. I have tried a new Samsung Charger, a new cable but nothing worked. Took it to the store and they found no problems with the device, they reinstalled the firmware (Android 6.0.1) and the problem was gone. After 2 weeks of use I am facing the same problem again. purchased the Galaxy 6 edge 29th December 2015 from 02 with a case costing in total £665 and after 87 days the phone started flickering off and on despite me not dropping the phone. Took the phone back to 02 to be told it will cost £229 to fix as they had accused me of damaging the screen even when the screen was not cracked at all. 02 was not prepared to fix, replace or refund the money so I am waiting for the ombudsman to get back to me.

It depends on your network carrier. Samsung issues the Marshmallow update but then the network etc take time. Try manually checking it. I have my s6 edge running on marshmallow

Oh man sucks to be you but u got the fake s6. Google about how to tell if its fake and it will show u signs. Some of the signs are that there is no fingerprint sensor nor double press quick camera :/ Also check if ur flashlight has aluminium line around it. If not its fake for sure. Also try booting ur phone in download mode, hold volume down home and power button together. And then press volume up when it boots up and if it has chinese language. But yeah. Go change it back for money and leave that shop.

my s6e have some problems: -fingerprint scanner is not working in lockscreen (but if i try it on private mode it is working and i've tried switching from swipe, pin, password and back to fingerprint but no luck). -double pressing the home button will not lunch the camera even though it is enabled in camera settings. -if i shake my phone back and forth (the direction is going to my face and then going back) i can hear a clanking sound. i did not drop my phone since i bought it. *i've tried rebooting my phone but my problems is still there. any advice?

hello I was very fortunate to be given the s6 edge as a gift 3 weeks ago I had a Samsung j5 and I loved that .....but wow! I adore my edge id heard grumblings about battery consumption but I just did what ive always done on any device turn off Wi-Fi,location etc when not needed also I think I was lucky as the day I got it Marshmallow was rolling out and that has really helped re: battery issues this is such a great device beautifully designed and great to use there Is only one thing id like an opinon on ive read some reviews warning against using the "fast charging" it seems it has caused some performance issues three weeks in and I can honestly say this is the best phone ive ever had!

who ever got batery problem,pls disable/uninstall all apps that ur not use.change the screen resolution to the basic n phone screen lighting to the lowest one.its will help a bit increasing ur batery life.u all can check it at youtube.there are many video tips about s6 edge batery or etc.if it still drawning,change ur batery to new one.i already do it to my s6 edge n im satisfied.

I have to say that I'm bummed Samsung stepped down from 16MP to 12MP. The difference is clear. Though it doesn't really matter to me as I'm looking for S6-quality camera or better in Gio size device. I don't need the "smart" I need the camera + the phone. For the "smart" I'll rather carry a macbook or similar light full computer along with a 100g phone.

The battery life is absolutely terrible. It lasted me 1 hours 23 minutes of GPS+navigation. The GPS turns off after 5 minutes of screen off, maybe it's 10 minutes, making it unusable for longer distances. I started the trip with 86% battery on that trip. It has lasted 3 hours, nearly 4. But with a bicycle race of 6 hours - it will die. That is my problem. Otherwise the S6 Edge never lasts a full day. My previous phone, Sony Xperia Z3 was golden. S6 Edge doesn't have stereo front speaker. The side buttons are awkard. S7 (standard) has much better placement of the buttons. Someone claims the edge is too thin to hold on for longer time, but I have no problem with that. The phone is strong. Good and quick. Fingerprintscanning is decent. Could be 15% faster though, but fast enough in 2016. HD screen, full colors. It uses too much time to close the screen with the powerbutton, making you take pictues inside your pants - or calling foreign numbers. Beware. My best phone ever, but I wouldn't buy this again.

Next S7 edge have extended the width viewable. But I now realise universal standards are fixed, small inovation doesn't change them. So never ever I will do mid adventure again. I had a s6 edge now i replaced to s7 edge mainly because of the battery.. If you're a light to moderate user then u can go with s6 edge on any day with compared to a5 2016... Hope it helps for u.. I bought Samsung s6 edge thinking that it is the top selling smartphone in the country. Everything was good in the beginning, great camera, high resolution screen, futuristic features etc etc but soon the myth broke. The edge screen which is the U.S.P Of Samsung started Coming out from the chaseis of the phone.when I closely Observed I saw the phone was BENDING. I went to the Samsung service center where they somehow paste the lcd to the backpanel and temporarily solved the problem.after 1 month I noticed the screen was again coming out. I went to the service centre they said it is back panel issue and not covered under warranty.although they repaired the set earlier.on arguing, the representative blamed me for the issue stating that the phone must have fallen down or you have applied huge pressure on it. I took the case to Samsung high officials but they are In no mood to accept that it is the design or bad quality of the phone which is creating bending issues.I bought an.insurance policy from apps daily for the same mobile I also contacted them for the claim but soon I got to know that they are bigger thieves. While selling the policy the salesman said everything is covered .from theft to damage everything is covered but at the time of need they were referring me the terms and conditions of the policy.my fight will not stop here soon I will go to consumer court for the Prospective customers interest.

What would I do, if I forget the back up password. I have set screen lock in finger print mode. I have noticed that once a while the phone will ask for a back up password and then it will finger print will not work. At present I am able to open my phone. any phone will die after 4 hours of playing.. lets suppose asphalt 8.. the point is, in general it lasts about one day.. and after a year it will last hardly 12 hours for power users. but the good thing is it charges quite fast.. in an hour.. a5 2016 is equally bad.. the culprit is the high res display. and powerhungry processor..for video playback i still get around 11 hours down from 13 hrs.. but i hav my warranty left so they told me they will replace the battery for free.. in case you want a comaprison it lasts as much as an iphone 6s.. now go figure..

worse customer server ever seen. Issue with battery draining, charging and heating up. Send repair and get back with same issue. Bought on 10th April 2015 and requested repair under warranty at 11th Aril 2016, refused by Samsung. It was still under warranty of 90 days because I have gone to store called PC Medic on 25th February 2016 for same battery quick draining and charging issue. But on 11th April 2016. It was refused to take by another repair store of bell, saying you need to go to same store, where you initiated first repair. Also when called Samsung they even said that there is no 90 day warranty!!! talk to supervisor (Rhudy) , they requested repair document of first time and they will get back shortly. Send document via email , but no reply. Called again another supervisor told me to send purchase document to them, send but no reply. All these reply I have waited for 2 days. Is these is the Customer service??? No one has that much time to send mobile for repair and without loaner phone you spend a week. Also no one has time to argue for almost 3-4 hour just to change the repair store. after all getting same phone without any resolution. It was wrong decision to go with Samsung galaxy S6 edge instead of Iphone 6!! But for sure, next time I will not choose Samsung.

If you update to samsung galaxy s6 edge (SM-G925F) to marshmallow you will loose using custom fonts you will be only use custom fonts you have been installed in lollipop before the update. But if you reset your phone after update no more custom font you will have only one option is to pay for fonts in Samsung store and you will find only Koran fonts :) . Plus scrolling speed has been reduced which give you some heavy feeling when using it. Battery usage after update is insane worst that lollipop.
