you are novice buddy , now a days the mid range phone are reaching near flag ship devices with more than half the prices difference.......if a flagship device is 3yrs old, one should buy a mid range phone cause the mid range phone would have surpassed the flagship device already after 3 yrs. buying a flagship after 3yrs offcourse you will buy it used doesnot hold a lot worth adding fraud too in case of s7 edge sold as inernational model but inside would be a korean or china model , such risk does not hold well.

Flagship is still flagship boy, you can't underestimate flagship quality any android brand,you can't beat the power of Snapdragon 800 class than middle low chipset, 12MP Dual Pixel and OIS is rare thing for flagship, Mine is A80 and not having OIS nor Dual Pixel PDAF, Amoled option on S series more complete than A series, but the most important is S series is made from high quality material including eMMC is durable and faster than low prices phone, I hate who comparing flagship vs mid low series phone without analyze it first because this phone class is highly different

Im experiencing a battery drain and my phone heats up a bit ... Getting 3-4hrs SoT. And have to charge it atleast twice a day. No longer an all day battery for me. Otherwise its still working well for me. Just annoyed with the battery

Owned G935F for one year. Done few updates, than I disabled updates to be secure (of corruped files, bootloops etc.) Great camera, display (of course) is thing that I was amazed about. Battery is draining faster as time goes, so I get rid of this phone. It has got some scratches on screen, need to be careful and place prottective film. I have placed Tempered glass with UV glue, which hided all scratches. Tried root, but unsuccessfully, after some time I get notification that system was modified. Then flashed stock rom from Samsung with odin, which worked like first day (without root). Overall great phone. Recommned.

Just press thumb somewhere near the top of the line. It will come again at some point and do press again. If you change the battery, ask the technician to fix the problem once the cover is off, there is an video on youtube how to do it.

Still worth it if it cheap.. been using it since june 2017, bought for usd650 +- that time.. i dont know much abt other phone nowadays, but the performance is still flawless.. camera is pretty decent (p30 pro is alien).. i compare it with my bro and my friends phone.. well it is a flagship phone during its day.. the cons is, the storage is small vs today phone.. and android version max 8 (oreo).. got no problem playing ml at all.. if the price is us50-100 or below us120 (new), if me, i would buy it without hesitate

Galaxy S8 is still a decent phone. One of my friends picked up one recently, and performance is great on that thing. But yeah, S7 might be a bit old for everyday usage, but it's still usable for most of the things.

Hi, yes I had the same issue about 1 year after I purchased the phone 2nd hand. Apparently it was a factory/manufacturing issue with the screen panel itself that Samsung was aware of, unfortunately because the phone was out of warranty Samsung would not fix it for me. There is no quick fix for the issue, sometimes it would go away if I pressed the screen in certain places but it would always come back. I had to go to a 3rd party repair shop and pay out of my pocket to have it replaced (cost me about $250 at the time, 2 years ago. Phone has been working perfectly since, no other issues whatsover. I still use it as my main phone today. I probably won't upgrade until this one dies or slows down. Hope that helps.

Well, it is if you lower your expectations a bit. It will still work fine, but you must be ready to lower settings in games for example, or any heavy app. But it is still fine for everyday usage, and I saw a lot of people that are still using it today.

I found that whenever I recorded video and sometimes audio on my S7 Edge SM-G935F, theres this clicking sound thats bothering and ruining the whole recorded video and sound. Its really annoying. But this problem doesn't occurred when I plugged in the headphone jack and use the mic. Is this solveable? cus I like samsung microphone, its super clear.

I have this phone for almost 2 years now and the wifi connection keeps disconnecting all the time for more than 1 year now & I can't find any permanent solution. All my other gadgets don't have this problem (S4, Tab A, Ps3, Ps4, Xbox One, PC, Huawei, Moto G6 Play).

After 3 years of using it, and being heavy user, I still have no issues with it. My photos are awesome, pro mode or auto mode. No lag. No cracks and scratches still..only issue I have atm is low internal memory. 32 gb is not enough for my usage. I have lots of pics and having larger sd card wont fix it. So I will need to change phone for something else, I have no clue which phone could change this one.

It needs screen treplaced. I had pink dot on mine. They told me it was slight t burnout on screen. So your better taking it to service centre. You wont be charged as its a fault in the phone. It would be diff if you dropped it. But burnout on screen is a fault with these displays. Still like my s7 edge:)

I bought it in 2019 and guess what? I loved it! No notch bs. 3 years since it released, it is still snappy fast compared to all phones I used in those periods. Heat is normal for such specs.

3 years now :) battery is a bit on the low side (which is to be expected), lags a lil bit at times, got some screen burn round the status bar but there is nothing which would hinder day to day use/all apps work perfectly on it. So generally speaking a pretty solid phone.

In line with expectations. As it was reported in many forums, and I could not believe it could happen also to me, the lifecycle of this shit is two years and few months. Afterwards the charge unit (note! not the battery) crashed and I could not recover the phone anymore. I guess the updates of Android will decide how long you phone should last.

I accidentally overcharged the battery on mine by having a metal place on the phone case while wireless charging it. if the battery is the problem, buy a cheap replacement pack off amazon for around $10-$14 USD. just did the replacement yesterday and it seems good enough. look up videos on youtube on how to go about it. I did not use heat, I used my health insurance card to cut through the glue slowly. don't go too deep of you risk cutting the wireless charging cables inside (looking at it from the back it will be close to the top right corner about an inch down). I also poked a small hole on the old battery and let the gases out, now it is a valid replacement in case the Chinese knock off battery dies.

Yes, at least unofficially it is possible. You can flash for example the Exynos variant Note FE's Android Pie ROM, because Note FE received Android Pie officially and has the same chipset of S7/S7 edge (Exynos variant).

It's a great device, if you can get it cheap (Like bellow $230) just get it. The performance is good, could be better since the Samsung UI can be heavy but still good after all, the camera is great even by today standard. The speakers are average, not loud like newer flagship but it can deliver. The screen is clear and vibrant but... The downside is the dreaded pink line on the AMOLED screen, many S7 edge units suffer from this, some users report that line appear from nothing and others said that line show up after the phone was dropped to a hard surface. So you better keep on eye on that.

The S7 Edge is a great phone and still hold up pretty good in these days... but there are no more major OS updates coming for this phone so forget about getting official Android 9. The iPhone 7 Plus is the place to go if you want longer OS updates and support, it may not be flashy like current flagship phones but stills works great even for heavy games like Fornite.

If you ever want to know "How Old is my Phone" or when was it made - Try downloading a "Phone Info App". Samsung have one but there are others avail. Theirs worked on my S7. It will Show things like "General", CSC Codes, Firmware, Android (related), Hardware, Personal (incl Battery Discharge cycles), Monitor (temps etc). You made find this useful. :)

The phone has different SAR values for Europe and USA, because the european version has got an Exynos 8890 and the US version has got a Snapdragon 820. Both processors have different modems, so the SAR value differs.

I have this phone for almost 2.5 years and still use it as my daily driver. * The 5.5 inch quad HD Super AMOLED screen is gorgeous. No pink line issue (hopefully not in future too). Only issue is finding a good screen protector that works. After buying 3 screen protectors, I finally found one that works great. * IP 68 protection is a boon. This is in spite of a flapless design. * Design is awesome and eye catching. But at the same time slippery and delicate. Currently using a case. * The speaker is okay. Not great but not worst too. Sound through headphone jack is great. * Battery life is good. At first it was phenomenal but now it is good. But that is to be expected with the degradation of the battery. Can last for one day. If you use intensive apps and games, you may need to charge earlier. * Software experience is good and stable. I am using it with Nougat. Have not updated to Oreo due to some unforeseen bugs. A special mention needs to be given to the stability of the software. In my 2.5 yrs of usage, I have faced random reboot only once. It may not be the fastest or the cleanest experience but it just works. * The star of the show must be the camera. Takes great shots at day time. Takes amazing shots at low light. The dual pixel auto focus is very fast. The large sensor, f1.7 aperture, 1.4 um pixel size and the OIS combined, give a great picture in any situation. Videos are great too. Conclusion is, nowadays phones don't need to be replaced every year. It can easily last for 3 years.

Got the same problem. All possible solution, I already did, like. 1. Hard Reset 2. Clear Cache 3. Factory Reset 4. Uninstall all 3rd party apps. 5. Until I re-flash its original ROM 6. Went to technician and asked to check the battery which is fine. so, the possible problem is the logic board. You need to buy a new one.

For mgs sound i go to mgs settings , notifaction sound and picjk mgs tone i want. Same as for emails. And i have all notifactions on for what i need. Dont need to go through file manager.

I have all mine sounds in sd card. But i dont need to go through file manager to change sounds. I just go to settings> sounds notifaction and change any sounds from there. Its really easy.

for all who dont know, download ES File Explorer. when you go to settings and notification setting, when u click on tone, then it ill show 2 options to choose from.. there u choose ES File explorer.. it will take you to your memory card and internal, choose whichever tracku wish to choose

I see a big difference between an FHD and QHD display. I prefer QHD. Virtually none of the top smartphones have this resolution. I'll stay with the S7 edge for a few more years. Almost three years and counting. I overcame the pink line by changing the display and the device looks brand new.

Now, almost 3 years and about 500 caseless drops later, the back is broken, the screen glass is broken, the pink line of death is present, but god damn it, it's still working, even the battery is still fine. I'm bored with it, it's a bit slow by current standards but still better than lots of new mid rangers. Good stuff.

i'm living in malaysia, my s7 edge has that dead screen problem, after installing july security patch (oreo), the phone overheats and the next day a green line appeared on the right side of the screen, the next day the screen just turned blank and unresponsive, but the blue led light was still blinking, and the phone still can receive calls, took it to the service centre, they said the motherboard is still working, but i have to change the whole screen and motherboard for the price of an used s8+, sadly, my warranty just ended a month before, i dont even work for samsung service centre and i knew it was was the lcd flex ribbon cable glue melted from the overclocked processor heat. anyone here has any experience repairing the flex ribbon cable, where to import the flex cable? diy techniques to repair?

best smartphone I own ever (I tried lg g5 before, and others, but s7 still a beast. Updated to oreo, the smartphone is now more faster than nougat or marshamallow. Its really great. No issues detected, Im using the oreo since june 2018 updated via odin with stock oreo uk rom. The battery decreased 10% or little more than nougat, but still great.

I never thought phone in 2016 like this already has advanced graphics technology by Vulkan API. Can other smartphone have that things? until now maybe? It's pretty important than only see GPU performance. When i bought s7edge and after owning it few months i got pink dot on mine at the bottom.. I took it to samsung centre and they replaced the screen and ive had no trouble since. As you have yours few months it will not cost you to get it repaired as its still under warranty. So take it to service centre and they will repair it free of charge.

The problem is caused by the display connector ribbon not by the panel issue. It's need to be little more tighter than company fit. Check if the line is fading while pressing near front camera of the phone. Give it to a service center they can fix the issue. It's not a display panel problem. Don't worry it will not cost too much to repair.

Yeah it has the 8 OREO VERSION (not the latest version though. Becuse thats as far as it goes). And yes it changed the display. (I mean if u are referring to the icons, app button, and you can change the color of your keyboard, and many other things that u r gonna find out eventually.) U can change the app button to swipe up. Had a red dot on mine. Took it to samsung centre and they put new display on for me and i also had a problem where it kept saying memory full even tho i had little in it. They fixed that for me to. Hardware isue caused it. No problems after that. Still running great.

If you got jan security patch then your phone is not fake otherwise you wouldn have recieved update. Keep checking manually. If that fails then contact your service provider as you should have gotten all patch updates by now.

That happened to mine. Only mine was red dot. I Take it to samsung service centre and they will fix it. I only had mine few months. So i wasnt charged because they said it was hardware problem. They put new screen on mine and Everything is fine now. As you have just bought it recently you wont have to pay for service.

It can be fake or most probably it was a locked device and was unlocked by software. I had same problems with my note 4. I tried to upgrade and boom. No network. I could have done something wrong . Please consult a technician.

That probably means, your phone is fake. All S7 or S7 Edge devices are upgraded to 8.0 Oreo.

You should have checked the reviews before buying. Dropping is a big _NO_ for this phone. I was using Note 3 Neo, before buying this phone. I had dropped that numerous times and nothing happened. That gave me confidence to ignore those S7 edge reviews, thinking I will get similar build quality with this one as well. Guess what.. learned a tough lesson!!

totally disappointment with the stability.. 1st time phone fall down and screen flickering.. after some time it back to normal screen.. no crackers on screen but samsung support centre requesting to change the screen which is rm 1000+ .. by the way resale value is cheaper . feel very bad on s7 edge

There are a few variants out there depend on region. Some dual sim and some single. Same goes to the processing unit. Some with Exynos and some with Snapdragon. Hope this help ;)

It's my second S7E currently and been using it for 2 years...it never disappoint me at all. Overall performance is good (especially after updated to OREO), default samsung original keyboard with number row is perfect (i hate switching key-num-key) dual pixel camera that it focus & snap so fast even with HDR mode ON, reasonable batt life & quick charging is truly handy. The only down side is NEVER EVER drop it. The screen is so fragile even a light fall will cause the screen to gone 'blackout' and that's it. It happened on my first S7E and that's why I bought another one because it's too good and it's a lot cheaper nowadays. Better than getting any latest mid-range lineup out there after all.

I have this phone right now and can give a good review. I rooted my phone which gave me many more features but I have to say that rooting on android is not as good as jailbreaking on iOS. The phone is fast but heats up a lot and can get very slow if I keep multiple apps open (More than 10). I should install a custom ROM which will make using the phone much faster. I will do this some other time. I recommend that people should install a custom ROM if they root the phone

Sorry to hear that. But oreo is great on mine and i play few games. Have you tried reset? I find oreo on s7 edge is really good for me and other users . Maybe it could be an app that could be buggy. Today I've signed out my S7 edge as my daily driver, changing to my Pixel 2 XL. I would like to give some quick review and how it compares with my other phone, 1+5T, XZP and P2XL. Design: The best design among the rest. One of my favourites, even looks more classy than it's successor, S8 & S9. Performance & UI: Feature-packed UI which is good but not much correctly optimised, some minor lags occured but not a big deal. Gaming is not problem but not the best. Display & battery: One of the best compared with XZ Premium and Pixel 2 XL and almost nails the OnePlus 5T. Strong colours and super vivid. Battery is good for me but I can't assure the battery life if you buy it nowadays because Oreo update crashes majority of S7 edge users. Camera: Among 1+5T, XZP and P2XL, S7e takes on second place right after P2XL on number one. XZP and 1+5T close right behind the S7e. I will post the detailed comparison soon. Conclusion, is it worth to buy S7 edge in September 2018? Depends. I think it can last until 2019 as their last year surviving in the market. Firstly do not acuse me of MISLEADING ANYONE! about oreo. Im going by my own experience and oother users who have no problem with oreo update! I find oreo very good on s7e. Ive mobile data on during the day and wifi at night and battery is fine . Depending how often im on my phone i can get nearly day on battery. If on constantly on phone yes battery will drain just like any other phone.. Im ALWAYS honest in my posts! Lots of users on oreo find it good with no problems. No phone will have a battery that will last days unless its a magic battery. So Really your acusing all other users on oreo who find it good on thier s7e? Please stop misleading people!! To all those who have not yet upgraded to Oreo, go ahead and update if you are mainly a WiFi user. If you are someone who uses mobile data and is concerned about battery life, then ignore the update. You will definitely see 20% reduction in battery life compared to nougat. Also, ignore the update if you travel a lot with phone in pocket. With Nougat, an 8 hour journey to my hometown would usually drain the battery by 25% in standy mode, as it constantly checks for signal reception. The same has jumped to 50% in Oreo!! Again.. Oreo is smoother, less laggy and it has few additional features as many have pointed out already. Choice is up to you.. :)

Yes, Oreo update is one of the reason. But my phone remains solid in Oreo and can last for a day. You could try to hard reset your phone or keep in power saving mode more often.

The Galaxy S7 Edge has got to be one of the worst phones I've ever purchased I've had it for about two and a half years now and the battery is absolutely awful it'll go from a full charge to being completely dead in under 3 hours. For a phone that I paid nearly $1,000 for I will never purchase another Samsung device again. Not to mention how slow this phone has become with every update they have put on it has gone completely down hill since day one. Nope!! Oreo might be the last update for this beauty. Samsung discards it's old capable flagship for the new series. Android P will be for the S8, S9 and note 8. My brother has an S7 edge and I still rock on my 2015 S6 edge+ and the story is the same for both the beauties. S6 edge+ won't get any updates after nougat and nothing for the S7 edge (which is really a great phone) after Oreo. Dont worry about the updates as long as your phone is running smooth. I won't trade my S6 edge+ for S8 or S9 as I really love it's design and performance it's as good as new and my brother is happy with his S7 edge. Just enjoy what you have today and be happy.

I replaced it after waranty passed in unauthorized service and everything is OK (battery about 25% stronger), but they cannot give you the waranty for going underwater (which I don't need). Price is about three times cheaper than in official service so see it by yourself.

So, after factory reset the battery is working fine. 5 hours and 22 minutes screen on time (screen brightness on about 60% for everything) + 8% battery left with heavy usage: WiFi all the time, YT, WhatsApp and about one hour talking. It's working smooth except WhatsApp twice frozed cause of heavy usage. I don't have latest security patch and I hope nothing will crack again after I install it. Peace

Oreo came with some features that nugat didnt have. And Everything is smooth. Its sad some users are having problems with oreo. But it cud be an app or anything that mite cause it to over heat or battery draining. It might not mean oreo update that caused problems. For me oreo is good.

Phone S7 edge is awesome in any respect. I have no enough words to praise it, and I have it almost two years without any regret. On contrary, recently bought S7 (not S7 edge) to my wife as she wanted smaller device: it also has an excellent camera, brilliant pictures and clips will blow you away. Very nice as a thing as well, especially gold-silver version. Very fast and reliable. Both are very affordable nowadays. Don't hesitate to buy any for yourself and your love ones.

Great battery life....HOWEVER, is not strong at all!! Easy to crack even with a screen protector! Screen broke after just under a year of having it and really expensive to replace- I would recommend it although get a a really good case and lots of protection for the phone. Also, the edge is a bit pointless-is just a gimmick and most of the cracks happened there! So I would buy just the s7 as it's cheaper! GOOD LUCKKKKKKKKK!

I got my Oreo update yesterday, and all I can tell about it is the following: 1.)Battery is draining much faster than on Nougat, 2.)it does feel smoother on some occasions, but sometimes it takes time till it opens a simple app. 3.) I hate the camera interface. the HDR Option is not visible anymore, you have to go to the settings to find it, which I find very annoying. I simply regret upgrading to Oreo. If there would be any way, to downgrade to Nougat 7.0, that would be really great

To add to what I’ve already said, the G6 has the better camera amongst the three. The wide angle camera has no rival really. The main camera is in fact great also, and the camera app with the manual settings gives the user that professional feeling when using the camera on the G6.

If you haven’t made up your mind already, I strongly think the G6 would be the better option. I use the G6 and a friend of mine uses the Samsung S7 edge. The best performance goes to the G6, on par with the pixel. The display goes to the G6 also, I don’t care what the difference is between super amoled and lcd, but the 18:9 quad hd+ screen on the lg G6 is simply the best lcd on any smart phone. The battery life is the same as the S7, even though the S7 has a larger battery. The LG G6 might even be cheaper now.

A clean Android interface if you want long term performance, so the Pixel is the clear winner here, the camera quality also is pretty good better than the G6 perhaps and probably the same as the S7 Edge... but the battery life in the Pixel is the weakest of the 3 and quite average even mediocre also is prone to overheat not good for the phone board and battery so keep in mind about this. About the screen well the resolution is bigger on the G6 and S7 Edge, the original Pixel got 1080p, i like more the S7 screen more but that's personal taste after all.

Some people manage to fix it by applying some pressure to the screen flex that goes to the board by placing a small cardboard piece or something with similar material, check it in YouTube there are tutorials about it, but there is no 100% guarantee that this will fix that problem.

Yeah, I use AOD. But i used it whilst it was on Nougat too and there was no hanging then but now after updating to Oreo, it starts getting hanged.

after I upgraded my samasung S7 edge, the device then started behaving strangely, sddenly it switch off itself, stop working and hang for some minutes and then start again. sometimes it was restarting itself, other times it just hang. and finally what happened, suddenly it switched off and not booting up since 5 days till now. So after upgrading to android 8 my battery was draining intact the same thing happened to me on andriod 7 ..so I tried charging my phone by putting it off ..and it got better the battery was good by question would I have to be charging my phone by switching it off or should I turn off the fast charge feature

How long does the phone run before reaching say 20%, after a full charge ? 4. What is the % drop you see, when the device is idle (when you go to sleep) ? 5. To tell you the truth i had no problems after oreo update. Battery is fine . Everything else is smooth. I Really like it:) thats my honest opinon on it. Have you tried going into device matinence and battery usage to check if an app is draining your battery. Sometimes a rogue app could be the cause.

So 2-3 weeks after the Oreo update my final verdict is this: Phone runs smooth very smooth in fact but man the battery life is just as bad as it was with the Nougat update and that makes me really sad and angry at the same time.What about you guys?Any problems after the update?

Have you tried to see whats causing it? A rougue app or something else ... Try reset . What model is yours? Exynos ? Snapdragan? Mine is fine on oreo.

Yes, agree with you, I hate previous OS in S7 edge (7.0 Nougat), which is more heavy to load anything! and cause many lags, bug, crash, not respone, etc, 6.0 Marshmallow is more better than Nougat, but this 8.0 Oreo just reveive bigger update for S7, A Lot of Good Things happened. I just don't mind it, it's just more.. faster.. smooth, feels some booster added into this phone.. and I liked the new TouchWiz UI S8, that leaves original S7 touchwiz from Galaxy Note 7 which is nice..!

I recently updated my S7E to Oreo and after that, I did the usual factory reset. While resetting, I noticed the following error occured at Recovery mode: "E:Failed to clear BCB message:failed to find /misc partition". It appears right after "Data wipe complete". After that, I had no problems. The phone restarted, I set it up and is working properly. It's just that message that appeared. What does it mean? Should I be worried? Phone is unlocked and it can work with every SIM card, but I am using it as a backup phone, with no current sim card unlocked. I only put the my Vodafone UK sim card while resetting it, just in case. Oreo definitely has issue with high battery usage for network signal reception. You don't need to have mobile data turned on to see the difference. I am sure all those who said no issues with battery are the "smart" users of this smartphone, not the "phone" users.

I have purchased s7E few days ago in bangladesh. That time its os was marsmellow and model number on the backside of the phn is SM G-935F. But in the detail manu it was named samsung s7 edge/V. Then i went to a shop to upgrade its naugat. After upgrade, model number became 935V. Then i complained to that repair shop. They kept my phn and again changed os to 935 U. I am getting less bloatwere in the U virsion. But can't upgrade to Oreo. Plz tell me, will i get oreo in this U virsion?

Have you tried going into your Settings and scoll down to the Battery section. If you scroll down you’ll notice a section that says “App usage since full charge” with a list of apps underneath. This will show you how much battery life an app has used since you last charged your phone. An app with a high percentage could be be draining your battery. Might be a rougue app.

TBH I even don't know whether there were any call stickers before or not lol. There was an option to put your icons in box or use them without box, that option has aslo been removed in this update and now you've only one option- to show your icons with a box.

Im really happy with oreo. Its smooth. Fast and have no problems. Only thing i miss is call stickers which isnt there anymore. But everything else is good. Battery so far is good. No drainage.

So after Oreo update my device runs very smooth no lags at all,applications load faster,camera is slightly better, overall performance is better and that includes battery life which has also improved by I would say 10 %.I got 5:50 screen-on time with moderate usage thats means YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, Spotify no gaming though.One last thing, I set my screen resolution on FHD and wifi is always connected but no bluetooth or location activated.

I just bought a new LG G7 - an upgrade from my 1 and a half year old S7E. The S7E is now in the drawer, I am going to use it as a backup phone. Right now, there is no sim card in it. My question is, will the phone still get Oreo if there is no SIM card in it? The phone was bought sim free from Carphone Warehouse and can be perfectly used without any simcards (not locked to any carriers). I received update on June 14, 2018 (1397.95 MB) in Pakistan. I've noticed some great improvements as; * Battery is improved and it lasts longer than previous version. * Camera has been improved and some new features have been added. * AOD is improved and aome new functions have been added, just tap on time clock and choose different styles etc. * Screenshot has been improved and now you can capture a scroll screenshot which means you can capture the screenshot of the whole chat in a single picture. * Phone is now very smooth and there's no lagging at all. * There are a lot of other improvements too. I think you all should install update because it has improved and makes the phone better.

No random reboots. I got a pink dot on my screen few months l after buying it. and i had to have it fixed at samsung centre. Luckly it is under warranty. And I havent had mine a yr yet . But my friends have s7 edge since it was released and had no pink line problems at all. And like ive said only readva few who suffered from that on thier phone. So i would say that most users didnt have that problem. Hope this helps.

Ive noticed after oreo update that AOD Is is in samsung themes store after updating it. It used be be themes and icons. So thats good. Battery so far is ok for now. Still early days. I Received update of 1276.27mbs oreo update. I really like it. Like the few extra features. Im still finding my way through it. Battery so far is fine. Like the lockscreen features. Tap the clock in lockscreen and arrow comes up.either side for events and alarms and music and events.Like the new keyboard layout with bar at the top. Plenty of new ejmols , stickers etc. Settings is better. Like the camera features also.also just swipe up homescreen and it takes me to apps. Feels really smooth. No lags. Pretty fast. So far its all fine. In messages it has photo beside chat bubble in my mgs which it didnt have before and i missed that. Il post when i go through everything in my phone. Its funny because updates always go like this (bugs or worsened battery life) but users still want updates. The worsened battery life usually never gets “smoothed out” so to speak.

Hi. Just heard. Samsung have re released oreo update again its being pushed tout now. Just keep checking in setting for update. They said the issue is fixed. The guy at samsung centre here where i live rang me. He said to just keep checking for update in settings. So thats good that the problem is fixed. Dont Update to Oreo. I have tried many regions Official 8.0 on my s7 edge they all have biggest problem of huge battery drain. Cell standby and device idle are two main contributors which are tooo way high always. I rolled back to XEU uk variant 7.0 official its flawless and much much better in terms of battery life.

Hi all. Ive a problem. I get a mgs up saying im running low in storage. Ive very few apps and they are all moved to sd card. Ive disabled built in apps i dont use. But it says ive used up 30.9Gb storage? Plz any help would be grateful.

so far its working great. Things i noticed so far: takes a lil bit of time to get used to gesture to open app drawer instead of tapping on icon, there is an increase in performance/ less delay, battery drains fine (i was worried about this one as 7.0 had it drain much more than 6.0), the whole UI looks better, there is minor lag when switching alphabet to symbol keyboard so it can happen that a character input does not go through when typing very fast. so overall update seem good.

Only advantage on A8+ id battery life as S7 edge gets older. Other than that S7 edge wins in terms of performance, camera, additional features (wireless charging, heart rate sensor etc.) and maybe display (2K on S7E vs. FHD on A8+).

Hi. Read my comment below. Its only happened to a few users . Like i said of all the s7 edge phones that were sold very few users had that problem. So dont be put of buying s7 edge. Its a great phone. And all my friends have this phone since release date and have had no problems at all with. I hope this helps you to decide.

Hi. Yes i had pink dot in my display after just owning it some months. They repaired it free of charge. Like ive said in my other comments that all my mates have s7 edge and has no problems with pink dot or line on thier s7 edge. And ive only read few users who had that problem. But just because it happened to me doesnt mean it will happen to others. Im happy with s7 edge. Its an amazing phone. I think i was just unlucky . But i would recommend s7 edge to anyone whos thinking of buying it. Of all the ppl using s7 edge since release only very few had that problem.

its not that bad but drain faster than Nougat when using apps maybe around +- 5%.. idle is acceptable.. i didn't remember what is the exact % (i do remember 3+%) before i went to bed @ 2.40 am and when i woke up this morning @ 7 am, the batt show 24%.. the heating issue, i think depend on what we doing.. not like the previous S4 which always overheating and it happend everytime

A great phone in many ways--great pictures! Great gadgets! User friendly with many options. But the input screen to make a pattern to lock my home screen is different from the pattern on my home screen. Within seconds of making a simple pattern on the input screen, I couldn't use this simple pattern to get back into my phone. And there are no options to unlock or get back into my phone. I had to take it to the service center--to reset back to factory bought! So frustrating!!!

News of the rollout being put on hold that following a small number of cases where Galaxy S7 units rebooted unexpectedly post Oreo. A similar notice was also posted on Samsung’s official help forum for Canada where another moderator stated that the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge is pending in need of a fix for a technical issue that was discovered after the update was released. Obviously, random reboots are a critical issue and need to be addressed on a priority basis. This is whst they also told me.

I have to mention that the battery is amazing in this phone. Ive never had any problems with battery draining i can honestly say. So its not Exynos version thats causing battery drain. Because ive never had that problem on my s7 edge. Thats the one thing that surprised me when i bought it. And ive posted the comments about how good battery life is. Really happy with it:)

Everybody will say snapdragon is bad but if you flash unlocked firmware from sammobile trust me exynos cannot match it, on SD career bloat kills battery and lags a lot, i am myself using tmobile unlocked and it was crap but since i have flashed unlocked firmware i know why samsung ditched its exynos and switched to snapdragon in s8 and s9.. Hope it helps

Well this is S7 Edge, not Xperia, thank God. The battery life is perfectly fine, and in fact by now I can say that in idle, the battery drain is even much slower. It's a great update. The one annoying thing about this update is that they added fade in and fade out for the ringtone, which can't be disabled. It's very annoying, and the "disable increasing ring" app doesn't solve it either.

Oreo of course, unless you like the few features that they haven't kept from Nougat. it's not worth it to stay with Nougat. The Oreo update for S7 Edge seems stable and the battery usage is perfectly fine, no worse than Nougat, and I suppose it's actually better.

I am annoyed that it still hasn't gotten the Oreo update which is around a 1 and a half old already. Both phones have great features. Unless u like the LG g6 bigger screen, Samsung is still the best. Its down side is the delay in push OTA update.

Dude...ota means over the air update, if your phone is Iranian version like mine you wont get update via ota or keys until they release Iranian version of oreo. That means there is nothing you can do to get it until they roll up update.

Hi. The only thing i would suggest is a factory reset. If it was me i would do reset. Back up your media and stuff before doing it. Hope you get it sorted.

As for any phone (any brand), When it is released then all versions in the market are original (however always check if imei number in the phone is the same in the box - if 2 imei were found then your phone can hold 2 SIM cards) While after 1 or 2 years you will not find any original unit of the product, unless you bought it used from someone else or you know a trusted retailer who have 1 original that still in his stock (for a long time)...

That happened to me after updating video player. Whrn your on a video theres a round roating symbol on the scrreen. I just found it yestr. So now i can rotate video. Or you can rotate it to portrait mode .

If the phone is running original unmodified firmware it should get updates. Since your phone is rooted you'll probably see that official updates are unavailable.

Hi. I use s view cover on mine when its in my bag while out shopping. I use a gel bumper for back of phone at home. Ive bought screen protecter which It doesnt cover all the screen. So i dont use it. You can buy whole covers. It comes with back cover and cover over the top and bottom which gives it good protection. You can buy it on amazon.

Oreo is rolling out now. It takes time to get to everyone. Diff carriers will push it to thier phones . Unlocked s7 edge will get it first according to samsung. Then others will follow. So hopefuly we get it at end of month or early june. Like i said i was on live chat to samsung and they reasured us we will get it soon. I was also down in samsung centre and they said the samething.

I would say s7 edge. Withoit a doubt. I was going to buy s8. Or s8 plus. But i chose s7 edge simply because its nicer looking phone for me personally and i havent regretted it. Battery is amazing on s7 edge.

Software updates are released in batches and release dates for them will vary by region and depend on when your network provider approves the release. If you have automatic updates enabled on your device, this will ensure that you get the updated as soon as it becomes available to you. You can also contact your network provider for the most up to date information regarding the update. So just have to wait and see.

Vodafone uk started to oreo out to unlocked vesrions of s7 edge. Some ppl have got it already. Im.still waiting. So i suppose it will take time to get to everyone and also the networks to push it to users. Diff with each networks like EE, O2 ETC.

I am a user of this phone for about a year now and there is not much to complain about, a full charge should be enough to get you through the day (almost 4 hours of screen on time) for a moderate user -which I am not- so I often reach out for my charger midway through the day, but fast charging works well so it is never a problem to me.

sorry about that. But just relax your nerves. 8.0 is on its way. Here is a message from Google. "We' re planning an Android TM 8.0 Oreo TM update for your device... It may take a while, so check back in a few weeks!" I got the message today when I tried to update. Its a relief because before this day, I usually gets an error message that reads.. "Webpage not available The webpage at https://cdn.vzwdm.com/images/CheckNew_An­droid8.0­Oreo_Planning.jpg could not be loaded because: net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET'" So from the above, I'm hopeful that we re getting it soon.

Honestly I think the oneplus 5t has better performance than s7 edge. Its a great phone with outstanding features. The only down side is that it doesn't support SD card. Though Samsung still have some cool features like dust and water proof, heart beat and stress reader. So its up to you. You know what you like most.

I went into settings to check for oreo update. It kept checking and then Twice it came up saying unable to download because of network problem or cant connect to wifi. But my wifi is fine. Im in uk and its being pushed out to unlock versions which mine is. Il keep checking.

When i bought s7 edge it the camera is the same as it is now. Yours should be the same. Do you keep your camera on the back dust free? I.always make sure theres no dust or dirt on it with me setting it down all the time. ( just a thought) . reset the camera settings and try takin a pic my friend.

Or you can go to setting in camera and reset the settings. And make sure you set it also to the highest resolution. If it still doesn't work fine, then maybe your cam has a fault.

Hi. The camera is amazing. Takes good shots even in low light. Check your setting in camera as there is slow motion photos , diff things for diff photos. Swipe left to right in camera and check these out.

Not so certain. But still don't see any problem with upgrading when you have OTA. I think upgrade issues are usually affects series of phones that may be in one way or the other be in the same category.

Note 4 is a great phone and I have used it twice. Of course there are some that gets hot. But the two I have used are ok, don't get hot. However, considering the improvement in speed, camera, os and other added features, I 'll advice you go for s7 egde if you have the money. It is by far better. Even better than note 5.

Wow flagship phone or crap? Hmmmm, tough question. If you go for a used S7 Edge just make sure to really check it over, dail *#0*# in the dailer app will take you to a hardware test which will allow you to test everything. Also boot the phone in recovery mode so you can check to make sure the Knox counter hasn't been tripped. Google check Knox counter for how to do it. If the shop won't let you check the Knox counter walk away.

S8 has problems like flickering screen also. I had the chance to buy s8 or s8 plus and i choose s7 edge and glad i did. Cant blame wat happened to me or few users on all the batches released. I was unlucky. But glad they repaired it for me. If they couldnt i would have bought another s7 edge phone. The bigger battery is amazing. Display is amazing. Great phone!

Hi. Like i said in one of my comments that ive friends who have it since release and have had no problems. I dont have mine a yr old yet and had a red dot at bottom of screen. I got it repaired and im still love using s7 edge.i So i dont think it matters wether its new or used. But i would say buy it new as it will come with warranty.

Already sold the device for 150 euro with the pink line ,The problem with my device is the screen its hard to find ( the black pearl edition 128 gb ) not like the regular black s7 edge the screen looks grey .. anyway enough is enough never ever samsung again .
