hel0 anvesh. your data wil be enable if u r in the area of 3g i mean wdmc.. If u r not n range to 3g booster ur wdmc wil not working. U can use jst 2g.. In ur above notification bar select the data and hold ur finger on the data option and then select ur mbl network to gsm/wdmc auto. Tnx!

Try to get reliance rge ruc sim from reliance web world. This is some sort of global sim card. This card works well with data and voice both for imported CDMA mobiles. Check ur sim card. This is probably rec ruc which doesnt support data on imported phones.

I can confirm this device DOES work on gsm networks, you can make calls, send sms and use data, the only con is that you can't make use of the 3G connection, it only connects on 2G (EDGE) which is not as fast, but is not that slow either.

There is a setting in the phone to go to Global, CDMA, or GSM. Usually when you put in a GSM sim, it automatically switches to GSM. But sometimes, it auto switches back to Global when you reinsert the CDMA sim. We recently experienced no data service on CDMA until we found this switch.

We have the Verizon version of this phone and it will work on both CDMA and GSM. Eventhough purchased from Verizon and assumed locked to their CDMA network, it worked on GSM as though unlocked. We recently traveled to an Asian country that has only GSM and sells sims cards at 7-11 stores. All we had to do was pop in a sims card and we had voice, text and data on the local GSM network. The switch was automatic, but there is a option in the phone if you search to switch it manually.

That is because your phones are either GSM or CDMA based upon their internal modems. You cannot use a GSM sim in a CDMA phone and you cannot use a CDMA sim in a GSM phone.

To answer your question. Yes My Galaxy S III Model SPH-L710 (the Sprint LTE Version) has KitKat 4.4.2 from samsung. (upgraded it normally through the phone upgrade. this isn't a hacked build or anything.

You cant. As it says right there the phone is CDMA which is to say not GSM. In other words there is no sim card to replace. None. I own it and I can tell you there isn't even a slot for one where the slot usually goes so that's pretty much a dead end.

I've been having problems with the service, so much so that I have considered buying the Straight Talk version of the S3. But it seems ludicrous to pay $400 for the same phone. The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III (CDMA) now does have GSM. The first models did not come with it and required unlocking through CDMA workshop and other modifications. They now come unlocked. I believe there was an OTA firmware update to unlock the previous S3's retroactively. Due to FCC regulations made this year, 2013, Verizon was forced to open it's devices to other networks. This was part of a conditional agreement regarding Verizon's purchase of the "C block" of frequencies from the FCC.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes in several flavors. Those branded with the Att logo will only do GSM, many, but not all Verizon branded versions will have CDMA as primary, but go to gsm mode if traveling in an area without CDMA (AKA 'global phone'). It is possible to unlock a verizon phone with a sim card and use it on Att, but not the other way around as verizon uses CDMA as primary. It is not easy in many cases navigating around trying to figure out what phone operates on what network without having that phone in your hands. there are web sites out there that will help, but they do offer bad info every so often (double check). *NOTE* not all verizon phones will have a sim card....only a select few noted as Global and a few others not obviously noted. A phone that needs a sim card to work is quite often a GSM phone. hope this helps....

Well, you bought something that will never work on GSM network. CMDA network phone, is the opposite aka the main competitor of GSM network. It contains chip, instead of the GSM's SIM card. Well, you bought something that will never work on GSM network. CMDA network phone, is the opposite aka the main competitor of GSM network. It contains chip, instead of the GSM's SIM card. Cannot be converted to GSM. Period. I'm sorry, but u have to put it on eBay or simply forget the money you paid for it.

had the phone for about 2 months now love it everything work great only thing i recomend is that you download a task manager to save the battery life and also tango becauuse of the no video calling option, i watch movies and tv on this got great games and all the emulatoras for most consols its great for anyone i would highly recomend this device for anytype of user

i had this phone on cellular one and returned it. i had dropped calls standing next to others with the same cell service. this issue seems to be an inferior internal antenna. went to Motorola electrify2 and very happy. same location and no dropped calls. which means it was the phone not the carrier. google galaxy s3 antenna issues. good luck.

I can't agree more with you it's cheap material bought one it fell once the phone cracked the inner parts ,but used iPhone for more 2years dropped it couple of time still no problems.

In five months I have had four Samsung phones fail. Two s2's and two notes. Nice looking stuff but Samsung obviously not quite there yet. Am going back to an iPhone as more useable and reliable than Samsung stuff....potential buyers beware...Samsung phones fail a lot.

Bought this version 3 yesterday afternoon and am returning it today to the store of purchase here in Toronto Canada. The phone is cheap feeling, the OS is laggy along with wi-fi issues. If you're thinking of grabbing this one or the upcoming iPhone 5, trust me, wait for the iPhone 5. The build on the S3 is just not there for a $765.00 smartphone, it litterally feels like a toy. I'm sure if you drop this phone, it's game over. I test alot of phones, (it's a wierd addiction I have) and I give every smartphone a go to see if it's worthy. This smartphone is definatley one you want to move on past. If you're spending over $700.00 on a smartphone, you should get something that feels like it's a luxury handset, not some cheap plastic wannabe with a so so OS.

They are just sucking our money because they are performing way too well with this little price compare with 4S. In Uk 67% ppl are using 4S including myself and everybody got the same complain. 4S is OK, but too much problem and high price as well. S3 is cheap and better quality. I know that, Cuz I'm using both of them.

a 1.5ghz dualcore krait is equal or to a 2.1ghz dual core exynos...and fyi, you don�t need too much extra cores for a phone, it�s useless...all you need is a faster processing frequency, so a dual core cpu is more than enough...well you can check the benchmarks, and you will see that the dual core krait beats the quadcore exynos4212 any day...for battery matters, krait processors are battery savers so the 2100maH charge capacity will be enough to last more than a day or two, unlike the exynos version that barely lasts a day for excessive usage....temperature problems were also minimized in krait processors....and for the gpu matters, adreno225 is just equal to mali-400mp...

Customers of different carriers come here and vote down the Verizon version of the device, especially those who are limited to purchasing the I9300 version with only 1GB of RAM. It's not a big deal. On GSM Arena, rating means nothing. Their system is flawed. So, yes, minus being thinner, the Verizon design is near identical to the device with a rating of 8.1.

Megapixels don't equate to quality of photo. Look at the sensor that it is using instead. iPhone 4s is known for having arguably the best camera for a smartphone, this camera is supposedly the same sensor as the one in the iPhone.
