i brougth it with promotion price,but after few monh finally i know ehy they doing promotion,this phone software have problem so cannot set the mp3,so was no point have a mp3 function..but this still was a good phone for me,becouse it still have mega pixel for camera and the camera you can turn,seems like nokia n91...now i already change other phone but i still kept it as mine second phone...

and you cant set mp3s as a ringtone unfortunately but it shows the picture which you load from the pc whatever perfectly work but it cant render any mp4 file cuz it plays only the videos which its camera's took but i suggest this phone it is so cute:)

i can put mp3 and pictures on the phone....and download pictures from phone to pc with usb cable....but i`ve downloaded the software from www.samsungmobile.com the one rom the cd doesn`t work....to download mp3 to phone from pc in file manager you need to select the right folder in phone to work...my contents..audio....the you go to the mp3 and click..that`s it!!

I have the phone for 3 months now; i will start with the bad things about it: you cannot set an mp3 to be your ringtone, no "silent" option if you don't wanna answer, if handsfree is connected and it rings, you cannot reject the call from the HF button. Good points: excellent quality camera once you download photos on pc you see that it's accurate, mp3player better than most phones, really useful 2 sets of batteries. I'm allmost happy with it, i'll give it an 8,5

Hello again, well despite the ringtone limitation, I still love this phone, the camera is really good, actually better than many 1.3 megapixel cameras phones out there like motorola, nokia or sony and It's actually pretty loud as an mp3 player, I never have it full volume, because I want to keep my ears, hehehe. And I really love the whole swivel/flip combo this thing does Does anyone know if samsung is coming out with a newer version of this phone, say something with like a 2MP or 3MP camera, that would be real nice, thanks all.

Hey guys, well I've seen a lot of you asking about uploading mp3's or pics onto the phone from pc, well I've been in long discussions with samsung about it and unfortunately there is no way to do it. Your MMC card is really the only way to transfer pics/mp3's between phone and pc, just get an MMC adapter to work with your pc. As for putting mp3's up as a ringtone, you can't, you can only download polyphonic ringtones (in MIDI file format) from the website using your web provider, that's the only way to customize your type of ringtones. A really good site for doign this is www.3gupload.com.

Good phone, but there are a number of limiting features: *Infrared is not for sending files to other phones, only for using as a modem or with software on computer. *No bluetooth. *No file manager(all done through the "albums" in the camera section... there's a video album and an image album. No other folders allowed.) *Only their own headphones work.(not even the tiny jacks used on some phones, it's a wierd jack that looks like a mini-usb port). *No profiles, you can only set it to silent. *Always makes a noise to confirm a message has sent or a picture has been taken, unable to be turned off. This makes it seem really bad, however the camera may not be as high res as the D500, the pictures appear clearer than that phone. The videos are also very very good and the mic can pick up the tiniest sounds (It can easily hear my electric guitar from a few meters away when it wasn't plugged into an amp). It looks cool! Does the spinny thing, which is good as you can rotate the screen 180 and use it as a viewfinder like on a digicam. The big "i" button is a bit high, but no worries with that.

i have the P735 version..and to download..you need to have the usb reader thingy to put ur rsmmc card in...you can get those at bestbuy or something..find find something that said rs mmc reader or along that line..then hook it up to ur usb port to the pc..open the folder..go to samsung..then audio then just drag mp3s in there..its got to be mp3 files..or else it wont work..! thats all hope it works

there are some main prob in this phone, phone dictionary MP3Player and if u could play it u'nt be able to use it as ring tones and with GPRS connection a phone with this option and price must be better, at least it must have blutooth connection

Some of you claim to have used this phone and saying "I've paid 500 USD but the phone is bad because it doesn't have bluetooth" Why did this person buy the phone if he/she needed bluetooth and complain about it? I have P730 Samsung and I installed drivers to connect, with PC, I receive information from Windows XP thats New device correctly installed and there is on way to upload anything on the phone (eg. Mp3 , photos). When I open program form original CD ( EASY STUDIO ) there is a message "Cannot open port and this program is switched online... " How to upload mp3s and another things on card in phone ?

Ive had this phone for 2weeks. I love the picture quality and the video quality. I never got around to the mp3 player. Mike: You are absolutely right about this toy rip off phone. At least on european market it is a little bit cheaper than p735 for USA market. $500 for p735 ?!!! And the phone does not even have a flash! (the same as if there was no camera at all!) I went to few dealer stores and also to direct T-Mobile store in New York, and both sides have told me that very few people buy this phone ( due to overpricing, and due to no flash on this phone). IF YOU PEOPLE don't believe me, then go to and see for yourself: this phone got only 9 reviews for the last 6 months! T-Mobile representative told me that this phone is over priced mainly due to the MP3 player ( haha, what a joke). Are you kiding me? 64mb memory- you call it an MP3 player?! Well 256k color screen phone without mp3 player usually costs around $300. Then, what for is the extra $200 ?-in P735? For 64mb MP3 PLAYER?! You can buy a separate MP3 player with 64mb memory for only $40! SHAME ON!-Samsung 1.-Overpriced! 2.- Horrible sound quality!

I bought this phone today from CTI Telekom office in New York area. I bought this phone mainly do to a high rating of this phone by the users on the other website, since I was not able to find any normal reviews of the phone on GSM arena. I'm swear-I have this phone in my hands now and what a big joke kid's toy this is! I thought the european models of Samsung phones have improved the unsmooth sound quality that belongs to most of the Samsung American flip phones. Well, now I see I was wrong! PROS: -excellent color screen -excellent design -ease of the menu -battery life CONS: Irritating sound quality, ( jumps from too high to too low) feels like someone is hittin your ear on and off . On a top of that the sound quality is far away even from being clear or stereo. CONCLUSION: What is the purpouse of wasting your money on the phone that cannot perform a basic function: naking and receiving clear calls! Meanwhile, I suggest that you folks buy SONY ERICSSON K700 ( my friend has it and it has some outstanding features: excellent 65k TFD color screen, and the best micropones ( you can clearly hear people and they can do the same even when you are on a very noicy street). I'm swear this issue

I've had this phone for 3 months now.One word:AWFUL!!!I'm really dissapointed that I've paid money for this phone.When your calling someone there are many times that you can bearly hear the conversation.It has a very weak signal and many times the line drops because of that,especially when you are inside even a house.There were many times that after I played games on the phone and then stopped I couldn't get calls.I mean for some reason the phone forwarded to the voice mail despite it was open.I had to switch it off to accept calls!Can you believe that?The infrared port doesn't seem to work anyway and there is no bluetooth so forget transfering things from other phones.The good ones about it are it's colours because of the TFD,better than d500 colours.The video and picture quality i pretty good and there's no limitation on recording video depending on how much memory you have free.Avoid buying it.Pay the same money to get a D500 which is much better!

PLEASE HELP!!I paid for a new SGH-P735 today, and everything works great except the mp3 player, which is the main feature i wanted. I copied mp3 files from my p.c. on to the mmc card. The phone shows that the memory on the card is used, but it will not play (or even list) the mp3 files. I have tried many many different ones, and none work. The card plays them fine in my p.c. and I tested this in a friends p.c. too. The files are all mpeg layer 3 audio and nothing is wrong with them, they are not corrupt. I really like the rest of the phone and don't want to return it. PLEASE advise. Thanks.

steve although i am a sam lover (i hav p510 not good camera)you are right it is expensive, it gets loose but oly if you drop it witch i would for shure and for these dim it doesn't have a very bright camera 1mpx and they appear out of focus. Nowadays sam has 1.3 mpx cam with AUTO FOCUS (d500 510 600 , e750,p850,860,z,e640) they have great cameras!a redesign of the phone (mettalic twist, 1.3cam a.f. flash) exterior screen (256k) too much too expensive...

I've been reading a lot of posts here, to see whether or not I should get this phone. But there were a few things I was slightly unclear about. Firstly, when people are saying after too much rotation it gets loose, just how loose, is it unable to stay in the same position for any length of time without being held up? Another thing, what is the picture quality like, some people were saying it was rubbish, but rubbish compared to what(?), I have a Nokia 3650 and feel that the camera quality is not the greatest, so want pics better than that one. And one final thing, where abouts is the camera, I was looking at the pics, and I had no idea?

Last night I've gave it a try and copied back and forth many files - huge mp3s - with file manager and it worked well. Two hints for you try to remove completely the program and download the latest version from the web and install again, and or post here the exact error you have.

I have use P735 which has same design and features as p730 has, this very nice phone signals reception is very strong and also its megapixl camera makes wonderful pictures.just battery performance is very low consumption of battery is too much so always has to carry its charger. rest of the features are unbeatable.

hey guys... if this site was korean the rating for the motorola's would be the lowest among all brands... I am from Greece, we don't have any greek cell manufacturer so my opinion isn't influenced by anything. All phones are good, it depends what you want from a phone, like cars for example. I believe that samsung has a very good design and quality. As for the other functions i think that it is pretty good comparing to others at this price. Thanks

I guess T-mobile is going to launch the P735 very soon. With a 1MP camera and good fuction/quality it will be a winner! I really sold a lot of E105, E715, and the new E315 and all seems to be working without any problem. It's nice to see a 1MP camera phone becoming available in the US! It's about time. Now it's time to work on the video portion of the camera phone in the US. Right now the recording time is very limited (like 15 to 30 seconds at the most). With a SD memory card fixed to the newer phone it should be able to record longer length of time (like my Sharp V801SH in 30 minutes segment). Looking forward to seeing much higher resolution and longer video length camera phone in the future here in the US!

Now when it comes to the 3G market, only two companies are qualified to be in that market, NEC and Motorola. The reason is they developed their own platforms and they are way ahead of any other company out there. Nokia is trying to catch up but Samsung is way behind. So when you want to trash a 3G phone like the V1000 compare it to a 3G phone not a GSM phone. I’ve seen this phone, I have a friend working on it at Motorola, it looks good, it does video streaming and when it comes to data rate it’s unbelievable. This phone might not see the light like lot of phones that get cancelled, so my advice don’t trash phones unless you’ve seen them and used them coz u guys sound like ignorants who had bad experience with a specific phones not knowing what the cause is and you think all the phones from that brand suck. As my opinion Samsung P730 have a nice and good design, memory of P730 is enough for people who want to record something. But one thing is P730 no 'Bluetooth', because every young people said 'Bluetooth' are evry useful in handphone. Samsung design,ringtone,display are the best it just lose no 'Buletooth'. if Samsung add it 'Bluetooth' I'm sure it will cause more people to buy it.

(Dear Larry and some other Bluetoothholics..) I'm from Korea. Yes it's true that Bluetooth is not popular in korea. Actually, nobody even knows what bluetooth is. Korean phones don't have such thing. they all use internet through both pc and moblie phones to download ringtones etc. (and they don't really share things except for the pictures taken by their phones) They are just crazy about taking pictures by phone in korea. ther r several bands even within kor. PCS etc. it all depends on the network provider u get the fone thru.(they each hav diff models) and even if u do get one that matches ur band, its not very likely it wil work str8 away. i think it wil require some tweakin

I have been to ICT IT Expo Thailand last week and I have handed on this phone !!! I tried a camera, sounds and screen and it's adorable !!! Samsung Th also had a contest ( contestant must be qouted about SS products) and Samsung P730 would be rewarded for the winner damnn whoever he is, hes so lucky i wish SS AU would do it the same way... This phone is the coolest phone i ever had! It came out ages ago here in Seoul. I love the clear colour screen and especially love the true sounds when playing MP3 or listening to your poly. The rotating screen is soo cool and addictive :). PROS: cool design, excelent sound quality, best clear pictures, compact and many features. CONS: when rotate to many times it gets loose, battery life, bulky and hard to use navigational button (the round blue arrows). Still, i love Samsung and will still buy their products in the future... I have had many types of phones, and I also sell phones, and handle all repairs for my store. Samsung are the best if you are looking for reliability. Also they are the best looking phones on the market. True, they are expensive, but that is because of their features (they need bluetooth though!). I have a samsung, a motorola, a nokia, and have had ericsson (which died in a week). The samsung has given me the best reception, battery life, and is just the best looking phone out of the lot. I will admit, samsung *used* to be a very bad mobile company, but they have improved phenominally over the past 2 years in quality and style. But you gotta remember, all of these opinions are just personal preferences. You can't please everyone.

Samsung Display have nice colors but they have too much enhanced!! You cannot see natural colors!! Sharp and motorola Display are not bright as Samsung but they have naturel colors!! I realizd this after I bought a Motorola V600 after the My Samsung SGH-V200 The motorola V600 diplay is more clear and have natural colors!! Does this phones also have Samsung V200 colors!!??

So the maximum number of colors that this screen display is 38720!!! Motorola is a great company, they are the 2nd largest mobile phone maker. But see Nokia is the greatest company, they are 1st mobile phone maker. Hm... I wonder why nokia is #1 even though Nokia keeps losing Market. well they are still #1. Not b/c they are Finish company, it has been their marketing which kept them up on the top. But I must say that Samsung and Sony Ericcson make more durable phones than Motorola does. it's not happening b/c it's an American company. it's just that SE and Samsung put their effort on the phones with a lot of Research and Develope. I hate it when it comes to races or countries to compare stuff like these. Motorola doesn't even make LCD by themselves. Now days SHARP is the LCD provider of motorola. People know out there that motorola phones fall apart easily and they are cheaper than Samsung and SE. But people have different tastes. it's not illegal to degrade them. Even though it's not going to happen by just talking trash. We'll have to see about this. So..just keep it to yourself..... one more thing I have to add.... Motorola v80 was introduced after Samsung already designed SGH-P735....... they have different factor forms, anyways.

i think people should give a better vote for this phone, i mean it DOES look like a very nifty stylish handset with all the good features of a smart phone. but i know, the BLUETOOTH. maybe they might put it in. or maybe it was unannounced because as we all know, CEBIT is only a SHOWCASE for phones like these, and the specs and design are subject to change without notice (like the renewed i500, and the cnacelled d700). so guys, keep your hopes up and hope that this phone really hits the spot.

this fone is being released in korea this month. i think the korean version have 2hr 10min video recording and mp3 ringtones ie.slightly betta features. i love this fone~~

This phone was actually already shown on the UTMS/WCDMA (3g network) already. i personally think that it may not be a triband because they have not released it on the 3g network yet. so maybe gsmarena has got it wrong. but then again, i may be worng, and they maybe doing a triband version of this phone. O wait, lol actually im wrong, as you can see whoops, so we can expect this phone out anytime now....
