To save battery, disable BT, WiFi, NFC, GPS when you don't use them, delete facebook and facebook lite apps better use browser to loog in facebook or twitter, delete whats up and use viber is better and no warms in it, delete "instant appstore... because appstore does work anyway, sure this will help you save all day battery life.

Since 2016, I have a note edge sm-n915g, and I was restarted only on occasion, overheated, and had lags, but then. It came from the factory with the rom of singapore (.xsp), I tried to put the one of australia (.xsa), and the same thing happened, until I tried installing the one of taiwan (.bri), and no more problems. From the sammobile page, you can download it. After installing it resets the phone, deleting everything.

Yeah, i have this note edge phone to four year now and still absolutely like new, not a single scratch on it and work perfect with rooted Mickey room v.3.0. i modified few apps to work completly perfect and when i see nova-days phones and compare with them they are nothing at all, i hope my note edge lives 10.years more to ise it, bczz new phones su*cs. Actually yesterday i tryed the Resurrection room v384 .v.7.01 but it's ugly and did not like it at all, there was not adapted costum apps for stylus, so i return to normal MM.6.01 os is great UI interface.

Still have mine in permanent use since 2015 and it still is working as always, no scratches in the screen and it never overheats for me. Never did a battery die for me. Don't know what kind of sh*t some people do with their phones...

I bought a Note Edge back in 2016. The phones design was innovative but it overheated too many times. I had to replace the battery too many times. In 2018 it passed away :(

Just bought a refurbished Note Edge and I love it. Battery was broken as it didnt charge to 100% but after buying a 3rd-party battery, all is well. This will be my phone for a long time to come. If it had a newer version of Android, it would be perfect though.

Did you buy it of someone? Because i bought a note thinking it was new and good price. When i put mi sim in it came up saying no network and sim wouldnt work. I was sold a stolen phone. I have used so many mobiles, but this note edge mobile is the sexiest mob.... It is best in every point of view like it's link, easy to operate, fast speed, multiple section can be operated simultaneously like music, message, contact, Facebook can be operated simultaneously, we don't have to close one section when we need of other by multi window option. And one more thing... Recognition of people... Whoever sees my mobile...I just get wow reaction.... If anybody like to use royal thing.... Then definitely note edge is awesome mobile

Nah, better go with note 5 if you can buy one or pick galaxy s5 or s6 & s6 edge. Using s6 edge right now and its amazing phone of course for a phone that came out almost 3 years ago. It still runs smoothly and it has Android 7.0 (Nougat). Its just my opinion of course just pick the phone that suits you the best.

I have the same BootLoop problem on my Note Edge, after replacing the battery, since 7 months, the phone still working fine. Samsung says that this problem is caused by two things : Battery or mother card. In the later case you must replace the mother card

Hi. Yes. They told me that these screens can get burn out while on charger or if out in sun. So i have to admit ive recieved calls or sent text mgs while it was on charger. Its a shame as i took it out of box ither day and after reset its working fine. But shadow in keyboard is stopping me from using it. I alsi got told not to put google widget on homescreen as that can cause it. Samsung explained it. But cant remember the other things they told me.

Well blondy, are you sure that the screen is burn't, i guess if you ever see something on screen...then is not the screen foult tather then the software, otherwise you could change the phone screen for about 50€ if you are around Kosovo Republic in Prishtina, and have a wonderful phone again.

My note edge hasnt one scratch or dent anywhere. I looked after mine and hadnt got it long. But screen bunn out ruined it. So no matter how good it is in appearence if screen goes thats it. I hope it doesnt happen to anyone on thier note edge. And the money i spent to buy it was a waste. Note 3 outlasted my note edge.

My phone note edge is like new, not even a single scratch on it bcz i love it and i take care of it. I have root it several times actually is counting (04) on download mode, i have update to MM 6.1 and downgrade it to lp 511 flashed modified room and working fine, that i wouldn't change for any new phone at all.

I only had note edge i think about a year. Now its usless as screen burnt out. Keyboard shadow in it. When i first got it i thought it was a good phone and i liked it. These screens are causing these problems. Charging can cause priblems also. Thats my opinon on it. Im sure other users are having no problems with thiers. Guess i was unlucky with mine. I cant afford to get screen replaced. Also it started to lag and freeze and slow in gallery opening. So mines lying in the box. Cant use it. Im using note 3 which i have had no problems with. Mine was doing the same thing with the boot loop. It would start getting hot the battery would be at 45% and then go into boot loop. I bought a new off brand battery from Amazon and it has not boot loop Sense.

I use the international version. My battery drains really fast and to make it worse the phone goes into a bootloop when the battery reaches a certain % . Your usb port where you charge it from could be faulty and thats why its not charging. That happened to me with note one. I had to get it fixed. Luckly it was still under warranty. Hope this helps.

I personally would advice not to buy this phone. It would have been good but for keyboard shadow like i mentiom. It also lagging. I liked this phone until it started to give me trouble. Gallery doesnt open veey fast like before. Takes ages for photos to show up. Thats my opinon on it. But other users can help you. It was good phone. I use note 3 which has give me no trouble so far. Hope this helps.

To be honest i am still using the same Note Edge i bought the week it was launched back in Sydney (2014) , no problems till now, every hardware works well as it should, slimmest of its kind despite of having user replaceable batteries and S Pen So the review below is based upon my Note Edge Usage since it was launched Pros: 1. 3GB Ram was great feeling at that time because most phone today still struggle for 3 GB 2. Camera is awesome with 2160p Video Recording , even front facing camera goes up to full HD even now after 3 years 3. I used to have like 1200 app on my galaxy note edge ,however it didn't hanged Sounds strange right 1200 apps but helll yeah :) Now i dont keep that much 4. Bigger Display , Multiple Screen, S Pen Features etc 5. User Replaceable Battery 6. You can Use EDGE function,unlike othe S6 or galaxy phones, you can actually interact with that tiny bar on right CONS: 1. Update only up to Marshmallow , so sad after spending $1000 definitely everyone wants Nougat atleast 2. Battery life fair but not great as Note 4 3. Not Waterproof ( i Was Using Sony Xperia Z2 before this which was waterproof and had 4GB ram at that time) Verdict: So its really worthy to buy it even in 2017 ,has nfc, infrared,heart rate sensor,bla bla bla what not , around 18 sensors i guess

That is called amoled burn-in/screen burnt which is common problem of samsung flagship phone that happens while using WhatsApp in hot temperature with applying the maximum or more than middle level of brightness.It won't be fixed without changing the whole bunch of lcd set.

There was no change after the latest update. My phone gets switched off at 55% battery. Hard reset after the update didnt make any much change in performance. But overall this is a good phone till now.

If you already received the security patch update, you will notice the phone will off sometime and feel heating. All you have to do is reformat it. Power bear 6000mah battery will help regarding battery problem, that will cost you 3000 persos. Not alll heating problem is not coming from the bugs. Damage memory card is cause the heating. Have you consider to power off the phone and leave it off for a longer period. In this way, the components inside will cool down and the heat will be released. If continue to use phone while not power off for a period of time, the components will have heat build-up, so it will auto stop. Auto stop when heat is high is part of the design else the phone may explode.

The back cover is not reliable, as removable and mixable. So far it is hardly to reach LTE+ speed for mobile data, but wireless can be 300+Mbps. Beside there are other issues so decide to trade-in to get S7 Edge.

Honestly, What's wrong with Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and Note 4 International variant that has a 4G+ sign at the back of the removable case?! Their front camera is so damn blurry. I compared it to other local units of Note Edge and Note 4. Local units are faster, photos taken in front & back cam are more crisps. The international variant has problems in terms of lighting in front cam & auto focus in the back camera.

yes. there is a way to fix this. but It you MIIGHT not like it. enter recovery mode. and simply reset it to factory form. BEFORE you're even applying any changes. make sure to update it to the latest android version/security level possible in your region AND THEN apply all changes. worked for me. ^-^

Yes it is truly a great phone. The Edge, works independently compared to the newer edges. I was about the buy the Note 7 but with the explosive quality had to get something so went for Note Edge 32 (second hand) as my Note 3 was only 16GB. Very glad I chose this and experience the beautiful qualities of the Edge.

Root your phone and install the newest cyagenmod onto your phone to get android 7.1.1. Read online on how to do it on your particualar phone. BUT PLEASE NOTE: Backup all your important data, just in case anything goes wrong and also your phone will be wiped anyway for the new OS.

Firstly, do Factory reset and Format the microSD card. It may be the sellers unable to solve such issues. After factory reset, do charge with original Samsung charger first, which is fast charge type. if not, look for batter charger, by Samsung, with at least 2000mA, as original charger. Again, the seller may not give you the correct charger. This may not be the battery itself at fault. I bought a cheap battery but able to charge to 100%. And using it have no issue, as i used it for standby. Tips: Go to (hardware) shops that sell all kind of battery, as i bought from. It is not fake but the shop staff did told me that it may take longer to charger, its true. Lastly, when the battery % drop to below 50%, then do the charge. That is not necessary to charge to 100% all the time, as it may give the battery problem. Only once in a while then do a full 100% charge, else it is not necessary. I do not believe that every charge must be perfect 100%. As it may cause the battery to over-charge all the time, battery wear faster. Battery should indicated for Note Edge, as mine is.

I bought three used note edge sincebuying new one is pretty difficult or the price would be inappropriate anymore. I thought it is a great phone despite the battery problem. Three of them has the same problem. Phone shut down itself at 15 or 20%, replacing the fake battery only make things worse, it cant charge fully, stop charging at arround 90%. Shut down without warning at 10% or arround. Too bad. The original battery price is 25% of the device price itself. Too bad... I have bought 2 fake batts online, let use see in my third trial, would it be better?

Own this phone since its released back in 2014. I must say the phone was really impressive through out the whole time I used it. Except that after updating the device between 2 years of usage, the device keep on rebooting itself and always freeze whenever I want to use it. Tried to change the battery, no luck. The phone was unusable and almost dump it. Lucky me, the store that I bought the phone doesn't register my warranty. So after few emails, my warranty successfully registered. Sent it to Samsung Service centre, they said its the motherboard fault. Changed it for free as it is under warranty. Also the battery was replaced too. But then, now my only complaint was the battery life. It was so poor that it can't even handle 2 hours of slightly heavy usage. Even leave it overnight would consumed around 25%. And also, if I ever locked my phone using the fingerprint, my phone oftenly restart itself and I need to enter the password instead of using the fingeprint (the fingerprint was terribly awful). Other than that, everything works smooth and fine. In love with the cameras, crispy display with edge screen, and the speakers. Also, its a head turner when using it in public.

Mines the same now too but it is usually in propper charging. The batterys just dying slowly you can't fix the problem without buying a new battery and when you do just follow samsungs battery care instructions and it will last for ages I just got lazy after 2 years and stopped so in no time my battery is fkd now I'm paying the price lol. Which "network" are you referring to. For Telco network, you may have to seek assistance from your Telco. There is a possibility that it accidentally remove the APN. APN:= Setting --> More networks --> Mobile networks --> Access Point Names. This is from the Telco, and with this available, you can do mobile data > surf internet. For home wireless, do check on the wifi setting.

Have you do Factory reset as this may help. Most download are complete for all version &or models for Note Edge. Once factory reset is done, it should not be any problem. Else you may need to go the Samsung Service center to check for you.

Use the phone --> setting --> About device --> Download updates. Using this method is better, as the phone will know it actual model. Updates do not mean that it apply to all, say Note Edge. Different model do have some differences. That is why handset manufacturer come out with several models for several countries. If you do direct updates not using the phone feature to updates, then there could have some issue. I did encountered, as having 2 different model of S5; S5 with 16GB and with 32GB. End up one of the phone have to do reset to factory setting, as having a serious problem.

VoLTE. While talking on the phone, it also allow you to surf the internet, at the same time. Vo LTE Voice over LTE internet. Vo is partly digital voice with clear clarity. Hence, as what i meant is that to check with the Telco on this matter; VoLTE. I did come across in the Telco forum that customer request for VoLTE, as unable to turn on. Not all Telco(s) do have this VoLTE feature. VoLTE could be possible if the Telco(s) do have digital voice service. If yes, then set the VoLTE and there is an indication on the notification bar on top. For example: My Samsung S6 when bought new, one year ago, i not sure what this icon. The promoter in the Telco shop said it is a new feature. As for Samsung Note Edge, it can set but no VoLTE icon on the top notification bar. As i do not use this phone for call, anyway, so i don't bother it.

The Galaxy Note Edge is an awesome phone. Got mine in 2014. Marshmallow update was very buggy and the main culprit is the SAMSUNG MUSIC APP; Uninstall the Music app updates and then prevent the app from auto updating. I guarantee that this will stop the overheating and very quick battery drain. It can be very difficult to do especially when the phone gets into a vicious reboot mode every few seconds. This solution works. I bought a new battery before discovering what the problem was.

Do one app at a time, and wait a period to see any result. Most Apps have to be optimized after version updates. (Optimized is re-update again.) Do you ever consider it may be one of the app you had installed which give you this problem. The service staff do not solve app issue as this is why no one complain about the same problem. As in 1 forum, a user unable to use the app that i have no problem. So at times it could be the app may cause your problem which you may have not notice it. Do troubleshoot apps that you installed. Not all &or any apps works for a phone may also work for another phone model. Meaning, app on one phone model works, but may not work on another phone, properly. This had happened to me as someone recommended this app, and after some times did notice strange thing happened. Further research led me to consider that app as the issue. So uninstalled that app, the problem no longer appeared. Did put a note on the phone to take note that should i install that app again. The issue is that someone that loved that app is most probably using another phone model. For your info; if this helps you.

I updated the phone to Android 6.0 Don't know if it's from the update, but the phone is getting really hot after simple operations and even browsing. It restarts 5-10 times per day and is actually unusable. The battery drains after only 5-6 hours. I used to buy a new phone and this one is just a toy for the kids. It's a shame Samsung.

Hard reset is by press + hold until the phone is turn off. Not in normal status. Do it when the problem come. Or if somehow the phone is not working properly, then hard reset will work. Try to do this way. Do not to remove the battery to restart, as the problem still exist. This is not factory reset.

As far as i know, this Note Edge is the first of the series in Note Edge. For each series, they will have some difference in spec & optional accessories. Note 2, Note 3, Note 4, .... are Note series. Note Edge is different, as the screen is include at the right side edge. As for Samsung to use "Note" it is the screen size is almost the same, except for the Note Edge is the screen on the right side edge of the phone. It is not easy to include the screen to extend over the edge. Even getting a screen protector, there is additional cost and may not hold firmly on the edge, as the seller told me to take note. That i understand. Hence there is no comparison between Note 4 and Note Edge, except edge do have additional features.

Both come appeared at the same time, 2 years ago. Note 4 and Note Edge. The difference is price a bit higher for the Note Edge. Note Edge do have screen extend to the right side edge, hence it is call edge. Note 4 are come from those Note 2, Note 3, etc.

Note Edge is from Sept 2014 model, first Edge version. Note 5 is from Oct 2015. Note Edge is the screen extend over right edge. Note 5 is just plain normal, as the difference is no screen at the right side edge. Note Edge is 2 yrs old, Note 5 is 1 yr old. Note Edge is now cheaper. Go for Note 5, although may be a bit more expensive than Note Edge. As already describe the difference. Do check the spec on this website.

I suggest you to visit the Samsung Service center to let them do it. Most of the update files are hidden. They can fix it for you, as they did for me on another model. This is because once you download and updated, the current update file is only available. If you do it yourself, be do be aware that the warranty is null and void. Then they may charge, or said, "Sorry cannot help". This will affect the performance of the phone. Btw, what is your problem. Have you try to do factory reset, as it will help. I encountered problem on another model in update, but after factory reset, it is good as new.

This is because you do not do any backup for contact. In the notice at the Install, do backup data. Contact backup. Beside, it is best to save and use SIM cards as main Contact, not the phone. Also do Export all Contacts to the SD card. In this way, you will never lose your contact. Even i use those SIM card cannot use but was replaced for certain other issue. Hence you have 3 ways to backup you contacts, that you will not lose all 3 at the same time. Night clock works for my phone. To do update, ensure you can see or nearby to watch for any problem. Doing at home is safe, as using wifi to download. Do the Install at home, as it may take time, beside update, it also fine tune all apps. As the info at the INSTALL page mentioned as it required no interruption. INSTALL is not done most of the time, hence do take care no communication is a must. Meaning deactivate any calls, sms, and mobile data & wifi are for download only. Should there be any call &or sms, this will create issue.

When the update come, you will be informed. All you need to go to Setting -> About device -> select Download updates automatically. Just received on the update, then download using wifi at home. Do ensure your Note Edge do have a lot of battery, mine is about 80% After download, it go down below 40%. As why i said doing at home, it the battery going down too fact, then use charger. Outside, you may used up at least about 1.5GB on mobile data. Then i put on hold, as i was going out. At home, then do the Install. This takes times (as i said do it at home) as after update, it need to re-tune all apps. In the end, i charge up and reboot, as 1st reboot there is an different screen display. Finally, reboot to ensure as booting up is the same as usual. Android 6.01 So far, no problem, act as usual. --end---

Hello everyone....Have had Note 4 Edge since it came out. Updated to 6.0.1 and have had little problems. Any problems were fixed by Samsung booth in Best Buy. I just got my Note 7 Friday but kept my Note 4 Edge as it is so unique and Sprint born. Time will tell about the 7 and I may switch back to the 4 if I have problems. I already miss the side curved edge on the Note 4 Edge!! I will use the Note 4 also daily as a tab and backup with a wifi number in it. Along with my Tab S2, I'm set. If you have a chance to buy a new or mint Note 4 Edge...go for it as its a one of a kind phone and will never be built again. well I bought mine for $450 cad however since the note 7 is avaliable for preorders a lot of people are selling their note 4 or edge as this is the end of their 2 year agreement and they are eligible to upgrade (note 7) so you can buy one 2nd hand on kijiji for 350-400 cad. however there are some that are still almost brand new. mine had the counter of charger plugged in at 100. just make sure to ask of the phone has been refurbished and what version of Android. stock it was initially sold with 4.4.4. have no problems with lolipop so far.

This will be my 4th note edge replacement since the update. The first time I did update to 6.0 and it locked me out of my phone. The other 3 times it just updated by itself and when it does update. My phone does this weird pixel on screen. I reset my phone, then it goes into boot loop. Then black screen, paper weight. I will not get a new phone. If the phone keep restarting, it is due to not enough memory RAM. Opening too many apps are the cause. And current app is not running smoothly. Each open app will take some RAM. All you need to do is to go to "recent tray" (left button below) and clear all apps running in the background. Hence the phone have to restart and clear some memory.

Best looking but also WORST smartphone I ever used. It blocks for 2-10sec up to 10 times per day, fingerprint sensor read very slow, 50% of the time i slide my finger 3 to 5 times and 30% of the time it is not working at all and just asking for backup password. Android 5 or 6 , several updates, was all the time the same... I sincerely regret my old HTC One M8. The only reason why I still use it is esthetical reason, it really looks great. after updating to 6.0.1 when i take videos nd replay it , it goes to diff videos in gallery. and in gallery when i press to play any video it plays a diff one. so i think gallery and video need update to fix this. and my note edge goes hot. and when i go and click a vieo it always comes up allow or deny everytime. even on whattsapp. this always shows up. and i dont knw how to unmount sd on marshmallow. its not very stable:(

hi all. i've got note edge n915fy. all the problems you listed are side effects of marshmallow. fingerprint wont work because samsung touch wiz is not working properly so after everytime the app restarts fingerprint sensor wont work. second for those who have problem with the sidebar, especially with the "cocktailservisebar has stopped" issue, just uninstall the latest update of samsung music and dont update it until they fix it. my phone has all this and the last two weeks doesnt boot up or gets into download mode by it self! got the phone twice to samsungs official service cause its under warranty and they told me tha hte phone is ok!!!lol! i left the devise today for the third!!! time hoping that this will be the last. ps. the last time i got to use it restarted by it self and prompt a logo with the robot with a questionmark. also it was written in red mmc_read_error.

Battery warms device. Screen freezing and non responsive most of the times. Fingerprint reader faulty and you will need to use the back up password in stead. My device software is not responding and my phone does not want to boot up. Have the device for over a year and my warranty expired three weeks ago and now its giving problems. Your 1st impression on Samsung = failed. My 1st impression on iPhone = failed. It is all depend on how you use, as you are use to apple device, hence there are different. It takes time to learn on how to use and what your expectation like. So far, my Note Edge is very stable; battery good, usage good, no problem. This is because your expectation is very high, so once it failed, you tend to be disappointed. For you APPLE has take over the control, hence for this, you will not able to learn. My Samsung galaxy note edge has been a piece of crap, I have received a new phone it and it still does the same issue, when I am texting the phone freezes in mid text and then goes black and then reboots back to the locked home screen... this is the most ongoing problem the first two were overheating and the battery life and then was the finger print scanner that just disappeared, had to call Samsung CS and talk to a lady who just said reboot and take the battery out that is the go to fix for everything, I wish I had never left Apple, I love Samsung watches though.. I have the S2 and the Neo but this phone has been crap and the phone make my handsfree in my suv lock up and I have to constantly power the car off or turn off my smartwatch because it is can not handle everything. Hi there, I have purchased Samsung Note Edge last year. It worked fine until February then it got one thin hairline vertical line in the middle of the screen, it was there for a week and disappeared. Then came and become 2 lines, after few weeks the screen had 5 lines, I was under the impression that it will be covered under warranty as HTC repaired my brother's phone when his phone screen got blacked out. In May my phone got like 50 vertical lines on the screen, reset but no use. When I went to Samsung Service center in Kukatpally, the representative said it can't be covered under warranty as the screen is pixellated, I have sent an email to the executive team of Samsung with reference # 2135672812 , they told me over the phone that I must be dropped the phone that's why the lines came so not covered under warranty...This is my first Samsung phone and experienced this kind of an issue...Samsung is such a big company but can't correct there manufacturing defects , the works fine but only the lines making little making it look bad. one of my colleague did not buy Samsung S7 edge because he feared of experiencing the same defect...the vertical lines are pink the middle and green on the right side...I will use it and let the people see this defect from Samsung phones..

I also have this problem. A few times a day my phone just out of the blue shows the message that the phone has been restarted and asks me for password. I see two more issues: Night clock most of the time does not work. And on camera while taking pictures or video there are vertical lines moving (like on old tv). These lines are also on video recording. My model is 915N (T-mobile) and I did factory reset.

i think samsung note edge is the best phone samsung ever made but after the marshmellow update it freezes alot and restarts 100 times a day . i need to make an emergency call but instead i have to wait until it unfeeze or restart but when i used to have the lollipop and kitkat it was fast like hell and it was rarely that i see this freeze ... at first i though only my phone had this problem but then i found that samsung s6 has the same problem my advice is to downgrade your phone to kitkat or lollipop until samsung fix this freeze . i downgraded it to lollipop and now it performs alot better

I am using N915G model, and the phone performs great in functionality, games and UI. The battery, well we all know this, that you cannot make it in a day if you play games, especially heavy ones. I can assure you that the all-in-all performance is great, and the phone has a lot of functions that you can use, even the curve edge screen.

Ever since I updated my note egde to Android 6.0.1, I've been encountering problems every now and then. My battery drains like it knows that I am a carrying a power bank (which I am actually forced to do after updating),and the battery doesn't even reach low levels like 2%, instead it chooses to drop dead as soon as it drops below 3% The phone now heats up quicker than an oven and the condition is even worse outdoors. Sometimes I find myself unable to take calls because of this heat(don't believe me? Try using 3G in the sun). And to worsen things up very often my phone ceases to work and I get a message on the lockscreen "Device restarted, unable to use fingerprint, use password ". I've been buying notes since note 2 and I've never been so pissed by any phone in my life

I love my Samsung Note Edge. I previously had a different android phone and absolutely hated it from about 2 months after I got it. Prior to that, I was iPhone all the way. I've had my new Samsung now for 6+ months. I did have to revise how I held the phone so I wouldn't inadvertently open apps on the edge, but that only took me a couple weeks. I tend to load my phones with apps, so I guess I'd be a hard user. I've had no issues with this phone, aside from needing to clear out my running apps (but, hey, that's between the keyboard and chair, not the phone). I find it's quick, takes wonderful pictures, and even comes with a few features I didn't think I would use (like the fitness app) and have come to appreciate. My one complaint is that there aren't a lot of cases for it. While I don't have a history of dropping my cellphones (as in never, knock on wood), I do like to keep them protected, just in case. I opted for the wallet style cover in the end. I can hardly wait for it's popularity to rise with new versions so the options for accessories may increase. I'll definitely buy one again.

Just ignore this "androidauthority.co" so called 6 problems. Unknown reviewer ignore. Backup not necessary. There is another way to resolve any issue &or problem, Refer to next paragraph. As the the *#0*# on the keypad, it will appear several box that to test each individual function, colors, etc. To exit, click back button twice. Most 2nd dealer use this to check if the phone is anything wrong. Most problems are not phone hardware related, but could be (quote:)rogue apps. There was an security updates when i got this phone in April, and also update v5.1.1 As most probably the telco unable to sell, so give huge discount. I did encountered that the screen hang, press any buttons and key, no action. In the end, remove and put back the battery. Anyway, apps are written by non-professional people, as there are website to teach you. I did encountered an app (for wifi check) that make both router wifi gone. So i uninstall and reinstall again in order to fix that problem. I had read about that in order to fix problem app, it recommend that is to uninstall and then reinstall the app. In this way, it may install the correct version of the app to Android ver. Do not do all at the same time. That method is to check if the problem had gone away. Meaning, do 1 app at a time and wait for the problem to appear, if any. If no = solved. Hence, there is no need to do factory reset, as this is the last & final option.

My note edhe was doing the same. I cleared the system cache and that do anything. I did a factory reset and it is 95% better. Only turns off 1 times per day. Still trying to figure out what the problem is because it is not completely resolved.

Please do ignore the previous post, as this is the some troubleshooting codes. Sometimes you may need to complete the check before next, such as "secret code *#0*# This type codes are used by small (1 man operate) mobile shop that deal with trade-in and sell new & used phones, accessories such as screen protector, and may include repair. And i won't be surprise that service staff also use them, especially when you hand the staff and they just keying and checking. So it is sort of reliable method. For other mobile phones, you could check on this website. From here, you could know what sort of problem you are having.

Suggest you to fully charge to 100% plus 1 - 2 hrs more, for few times, not necessary every charge, just occassionally. My phone finally do not eat battery that much. As not like 1% per hour standby, but for few hours then drop 1%. Maybe 2-3 % for usual sleep period.

Do check your phone setting, as certain setting may affect the phone performance. I had a phone that always given me problems, until i read somewhere (maybe a hint from the phone, i forgotten which) that the Date/Time may affect the phone. It was the battery 00% and the time/date was not set, as the phone i was not using for a long period.

This is the same when release on version 5. When i bought this phone last month, i think the Telco leftover stock after released 2 yrs ago. There was 2 updates, for ver5 and ver5.1.1 as one of them is to fix 'something'. hence you may expect to have another update file to fix all sort of bugs.

Firstly, are you satisfy on current version or not. I am satisfied and not so much interest in updating. Current version work perfectly for me. As for battery, everyone know; but i always do a fast charge before going out. Even using to the max by doing some trials which i am involved. Do note that you cannot select any model-variant you like. Just go to the spec and check which model-variant apply to you, your country. Each country do have different frequency, which it is enforce worldwide. I read somewhere, that writer bought back the handset from another country US. Writer back to his/her country, the handset cannot be used. It is better to get clear confirmation before you made any purchase from oversea. I had note 4 for 1 year and now I have note edge. Only 2 major differences 1 battery is better in note 4 2 screen is brighter on note 4 because it uses gorilla glas 4 and I think transparency is better. If you are searching for a more solid phone go for the n4 if you want a stylish phone with same hardware but slightly weaker battery go for the edge. One more thing...edge is a bit wider and in small hands could be a minus. Regards

I just got yesterday Android 6.0.1 update and I can say I am happy with it. Slightly better battery standby and a bit lower Ram usage with same installed apps. I have around 1.7 gb ram usage in standby. S pen menu changed and it's better (Note 5 style). I cannot see other major differences.

Did you update yourself or thru your phone Setting -> About device -> Software updates. In normal case on update, there is a notification that the updates is available, and download by either wifi or mobile data. This is the actual & proper way. If you do the proper way, thru notification by Samsung, then you may visit the nearest Samsung Service center. As they may able to check, using some sort of coding &or tools. And if you do the proper way, they may able to assist you further to repair the phone. Only firmware can made the phone as total loss &or may not be reversal. Software update may able to rectify. As this may be in your case. So i suggest you to visit the service center to find out more about your Note Edge. Maybe bring along your phone receipt, if any. Even if it is out of warranty, this may depend if there are cases like your case, as known and required to repair &or replacement of parts, maybe.

Your Note Edge is not dead. You cannot turn on the phone is because the battery is 0%. So either charger or battery is no good. Maybe use another better charger to charge. More likely is the charger that drain your battery. Most probably the fault lies on the charger. And most probably is that the phone battery is dead, which is very unlikely. Do note that the Charger should be Output: 5V 2A. (2A at least.)

dont update to 6.0 its bad. really bad. edge shorcut lags when you open menu. power saving mode is useless as it doesnt give you option to limit device performance (it was there in 5.1.1) top notification bar turns grey in power saving mode. no edge screens like s6 edge or s7 edge.. edge is still the same... overall a sad and a bad update :(

I don't have these issues. According to what I know is that the marshmallow update still has huge amount of bugs which it should be fixed in the next update. And for the overheating you can open smart manager and choose battery then app optimization then select most of the apps and make always optimizing, so you will most of the time not face overheating again. Note Edge is an awesome device. So Good Luck !

Note Edge is just a protocol model, intend to be Note Edge series. So you cannot compare Note Edge and S7 Edge. They are based on different design & components. Being a protocol, Samsung intention to see feedback. Then Note Edge 2 will be better. Hence, most probably the next Note Edge 2 will be much better. Manufacturer separate by using Series. Hence you cannot compare Note Edge to S7. Just like the Galaxy S is the 1st of the Galaxy S series, the next is Galaxy S2 as part of Galaxy S series.

Note Edge and Note 6 are both different series. Just like J7 and A7, both are different series. You are just like compare "chicken" with "duck". Manufacturer have to use Series as separation. Just wait for Note Edge 2. As for RAM, do you know that there is a way to increase RAM. If you open a few apps, even if you just close &or exit the Apps, these apps are still running in the background. All you need to do is touch on the "Recent" key. This pop-out all apps still in the background. You can clear all by touch on the "Back" key, to remove all. Or you can select which apps to close by touch on the X on the top-right of the apps. In this way, more RAM will be available.

By switching Off and On again may not help much. The problem is on how many apps are on which may cause the heat to appear quickly. This is that many apps are still running in the background, not close at all. That is to say, when you run 1 app, then decide to close that app. The app is close, but it is still running in the background. The more apps you open & close, these apps are still running in the background. Just open the setting -> battery usage, you will find those apps you open & close, are actually running in the background, and may contribute to the heat. As by switch Off and wait awhile then switch On, will never work. The heat will appear faster. As you may think that those apps your have gone away in order to cool the phone. Then you may have made the wrong assumption. For me, i have my own way to quickly reduce the heat. What happen when the phone get heat; just do not use &or run any apps. In this way the heat will be reduce much faster. I discovered this while after bought this phone, i had to updates (almost) all apps, and including 2 updates; security & update to v5.1.1. and phone got heat. So i leave it, as like you say for a few minutes, then i check the phone. The phone had no longer heat, what more it is just cool like never use the phone. For me, whenever i do run any apps, and after closing the apps which i don't need it anymore. What i did is go to the Task manager, by clicking on recent key. This will bring up the Task manager. Then i will touch on the "back key" to remove all apps from the background. For individual app, there is a X mark, just touch then app will longer running in the background. Even if the app did show the app is still using battery, but the app just take about 1%. and some app is no longer using the battery. As for why "Switch Off, wait, Switch On", that is those apps you open & close, it is still running the apps. Hence, apps will not be clear at all. You can test it, by opening and close, and go the "Recent" key, there show apps that consider close, are still in the background. Then select the X on some apps. Then you switch Off and then switch On. Those apps that are not close, it is still available. This is something like laptop that you close the cover, it go into hibernate mode. This is to say that when by switch Off and On, whatever apps not close by X will appear again, just like laptop hibernate mode.

Hi Everybody, I am not really a samsung fan however my last phone was NOTE 2 and currently I am using Note Edge. I started using this phone on 01 Feb 2016 and till date I have faced lots of issues. The biggest one is that the device gets overheated, sometimes its 45*C, teh display gets hot as well, HOT like really really hot that I need to turn off my phone for 3-4min with battery removed. Secondly, the device lags like anything, I mean with this spec we do not expect that much lagging. The notification bar does not comes down easily, Its takes good time and lag is clearly visible at that point of time. I am not very heavy user. I keep my wifi on all the time and most of the time I only use my phone to make calls bcz I use WHATSAPP on my laptop. Frankly speaking even after 2 years of using a device liek NOTE2 I expected a lot from NOTE EDGE however now I feel that my NOTE 2 is btter that NOTE EDGE. Apart from that I have another problem, I am using finger print sensor to unlock device, after 5-10 min my device show some sort of lag and then it locks itself and says " cannot use fingerprint sensor after device restart " and then I need to put my password and unlock the phone. I and thinking of selling this phone howveer I love the EDGE part very much. I would liek to know if I am doing somthing wrong with the settings or what else could be the problem. I tried hard reset as well. I am running Marshmallow 6.0.1. Please suggest what has to be done.

If the edge do not reveal any apps that you have customize, the method to view the apps is by touching the edge and slight inward on the screen. Meaning touch the edge and slide toward the screen, meaning right to left in portrait mode; or touch the edge and slide down in wide mode.

On my device i could see 1.5 gb free ram on idle state(no apps running in background)...thats strange.... But as one or 2 apps are running , the ram increases a lot..But what i observed after 1 month on MM is that the apps run smoothly and one day i had upto 12 apps running in background and dint find a single lag..the transitions are pretty smooth..So, im least bothered what the smart manager displays on the Ram section.Hope its helpful for you.

Simply superb.Its a must have update on note edge..Before this update i was on 5.0.1 which had several issues like battery drain even on standby,performance lag,ram was slow but after MM update the phone is really smooth and very responsive.Look wise its the same old app icons( with just change in shapes) nothing new to expect.But one thing i seriously like is the Doze mode which is very effective on MM..During night hours (6-7hrs) it just consumes 0-1% of battery which is amazing(previously on lollipop it was 5-7 %) And the animation is also very nice and ram management is also good.Other features like Screen off memo,S pen features and new S note they are cool which you may have observed on some youtube videos.. Finally, i would like to say that MM has made my note edge brand new. Just keep checking the s/w update every now and then which i was doing and received on 17th April.And immediately after the update don't forget to install "Good Lock " app from samsung which makes the update even more new on your device.

Since note series came out i bought note 1. Went straight to note 3 and then last december note edge. I know some ppl do change phone every two yrs. Note 5 i didnt like because no sd card or non removable battery. There is supposed to be note edge 2 coming out i was reading somewhere. But ive note 3 on 5.0 and have had no problems at all with it. Some other users do. But i think its still good 2rs on this march. So i dont have a problem with it on 5.0. But if a phone is still in good condion looks wise and performing good i wont stop using it. But note edge has better specs compared to note 3. So i keep my note 3 as backup. My old note 1 is lying in a drawer. Not a scratch on it and running pretty good for the age of it. Altho not as good as note 3 and note edge. Its stuck on 4.1.2 lol.

Most phone may be considered as outdated (quote from someone), after, maybe, 2 years. Samsung have already did update from v4 to v5 to v6 which is good enough. Who knows that Samsung have plan for Note Edge 2 which would replace Note Edge. There is a need to understand on what & how software update could improved on 'ancient' electronic components. For example, for Note 3, the v4.3 (original) can be upgradable to v5.0. There is no mentioned on Note 3 to update to v6. So Note Edge able to update to v6 is the best and final version, maybe. If say, every day required charging, this means by 500 days, Then battery would able to recharge >500 times, but the battery power may be lacking. Most brand will support s/w for at least up to 2 years old. By then, the phone would able to use for a few more years. There is 1 most important thing to take note. Most brand will release the same series on model yearly; ex S4 -> S5 > S6 > S7.... Every new series, new features will be added. This is business operation, and if not, the brand will be ceased to exist. Also, most ISP do have contract for 2 years, include 1st year on warranty. Another Business style of operation is fixed battery, non-removable; for 2 reasons. 1. Many old & existing models with removable battery, this give work for battery manufacturer. 2. This phone seemed perfect for me picking it out this summer. But the first month I should have taken it back. This phone overheats, lags, drops battery power insanely, makes phone charger get hot. When calling to complain they told me the note 4 edge is discontinued and they have had many problems with it. Now I am stuck with it because of my 2 year contract. It drains to you battery bcs it is synchronizing fotos and videos and other staff, so disable that by pulling down toggles down with two fingers and also go to gallery setings and disable synchronizing fotos ower wifi conections, and then will not drain your bettery...capishi!

5.1.1 is far better on my note edge. Battery is good. No heating problems. Running really smooth than it did on 5.0.1. Ram is better. No lagging. More resposive. Performance is really good. That happened to mine after 5.1.1 update. Mine got so hot i could hardly hold it So i uninstalled cm sercurity and reset it and its not heating up. It could be an app thats causing it to heat. If you try resetting it , but backup your stuff first. Hope this helps.

Nup, Note Edge is as top of the line as they went that year... Should you get one? Yes, if the Edge, or "extra width" might suit your needs. By now the price premium that was the Edge variant when they came out will have dropped off. As Note 4s' go, the Edge is an excellent device. I recommend the smart S cover that has the "S chip" in it, that awakes the phone when the cover is opened. (I even went one further and use the "Fit watch", that unlocks my device as well.)

been using it for 6 months. one drop om the edge screen and it broke. had to pay 1/3rd of the price of phone to replace the screen. very fragile. and no cover options. plus sometimes the phones hangs. There is facebook app that draining battery and warming the phone, so if you can root your phone with Odin, then install rooted room and delete fcb app and use fcb on browser link like m.facebook.com then battery will last for about two days. Remember also switch off the radios you don't permanently use them like Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, GPS or mobile hot spot.

Have the note edge for around 6 months now. No problems yet except it dropped from my pocket on the bathroom floor and the screen cracked very badly and had to get it replaced which is quite costly. I didn't wait to buy the note 5 even though it would come out thevery next month of me buying note edge bcoz it had no micro sd card slot or ir blaster. But the phone is very delicate and has no decent covers available in the market. Plus the note 5 is actually much faster. I have put a tempered glass now and a silicon cover but I'm a little scared handling it. What are your opinions shall I change and buy a newer phone? I really love it though. Also can some1 please tell me if the note 5 is actually faster or the difference isnt that noticable. Or maybe just wait for note 7. Have you got it on power saving mode in smart manager? If you go on playtore theres is loads of battery saving apps. Just pick one that suits you. Also lower screen dispay by 20% and see if that helps. optimaiz your apps in smart manager also. It could be a rouge app that draiing your battery. Have you tried a reset? Or hard reset?

There has been many posts made here, already covering this. I understand there are a lot of posts on this thread, and is not always fortuitous gathering information reading through these posts when bickering and flaming and butt hurt types want to poo-poo other peoples flagships and perceived 'brand loyalties'... That aside, there has been some excellent 'how to use' posts for the Note Edge scattered amongst the many comments. Firstly know that any new device for the first week (or so) will be getting updates and 'settling'; that battery life will likely settle and improve. Certainly a dodgy app can drain the battery life quickly (screen on time and very poor reception and hidden wifi network scanning etc can hurt majorly- set 'auto brightness' to a comfortable level, perhaps turn wifi off when roaming from hidden wifi stations if that is your setup) For figuring out if a dodgy app is giving me high drain; I use "cpu-z". Get to know at what speeds your processor typically idles at. Then a quick check of cpu usage in cpu-z can reveal if the processor is running oddly high, at which point closing individual applications until the 'culprit' is found. Android 5 has some decent battery/application management. And we will get Marshmallow soon enough with further improvements most likely (being reported). I leave all phone features on except the smart screen/smart stay stuff (where the camera is assessing whether you are looking at the screen to figure out whether to keep it on). I enjoy the official Samsung flip case as it has the 's-chip' and wakes and sleeps my phone without pressing any buttons. I took this further with a Samsung fit watch that unlocks my device when I am close to it. (And reveals emails/messages/ notifications etc with a glance at my wrist; also I attach it to my steering wheel when driving long distances for use as on wheel media controls). The watch is setup to show weather and time and I use the black background (saves power on OLED screens). Back to the phone... Try moving to a black screen wherever possible... For example in we forums, make the background black not white/grey. I do nothing to extend my battery life (other than trying to charge it before it goes below 10%(ideally before going south of 20% is best battery care)). If I am in heavy use IT mode I always get a day. If I use the phone like a normal modern smartphone and use as I need it- it will go two days (not quite- morning 'off charger', next night 'on charger'), and if I do little with the phone and use a BLuetooth headset for calls etc, can easily get three days. I have had five days+ runtime when I am couch potatoing/ recluse over a holiday period. Just give it a week to settle and grab updates. After the wow factor and 'show off features' of the first ten days or so is behind us, and we get on with the using; only hardcore web nuts at full brightness with no rests will need to charge the phone inside of half a day. But after twelve hours of continual use I put to you; they likely need the rest, maybe fast charge for a bit whilst they grab something to eat?!

I have a note edge that is fourteen months plus of daily usage..In and out of pants and a lot of being carried in 'less than optimal' locations... It has had the official flip cover installed most of its' life, even so, a nasty jump out of my pocket more than a metre above a bitumen road, flip cover 'flipped open', phone bouncing a rolling down the street (I'd been running)...the metal edge took the most part of the damage; It had 'roughed up' a corner... I own note2 and this black note edge for about 6.month now, i have updated to newer versions but always r00ted and costumized rooms, i have try the v.5.1.1 but quickly degraded it to KK.4.4.4 because i think is better version and lighter, i use mickey's room v2.2 and is fine, i even use the air view adapted app from note5 and all i can say this phone is so much to do with it all day long, the music over stereo BT wireless and the movie's to watch on it is amazing phone. bought this 3 weeks back, honest review of Samsung galaxy note edge. Its amazing phone with excellent battery back. S Pen is wonderful feature works flawlessly every time. No heating problems after lollipop update. Screen is wide and edge functionality is mind boggling I can put all my apps on edge and alerts come on my edge screen without disturbing the main screen. Quad HD screen is visual treat to eyes with good quality pics from rear and front camera ( option downloads available ). Edge screen also are available for downloads for customisation. Three weeks with this phone has been an amazing journey which I have not experience with any phone till date. Hats off to Samsung for bringing this product out. I boldly put forth that I have not faced any issues of lagging, heating, non responsiveness or other irritants normally associated with other devices.

i can quick charge my note edge in under an hour. i let my battery go down to 10% and then charge it which is good. i use a docking charger as well. . note 3 takes about an hour and 45 mins. so theres a big diff. but i like both phones.

I have note two and note edge, i think if my note 2 had quick charging wouldd be great, i wouldn't need eny nowadays phone, but because my note edge charges from 05% to full 100% for about one hour and five minutes, i em happy with it, otherwise the note2 charging time is about two and half hour. For this who complain or bash lies about note edge, they have to activate in settings "fast charging" option and have to check their charger if it's the original and is written on it "Fast Charging Adapter" of a kind otherwise standard older charger won't charge fast your phone.

I have had a mobile phone since the mid 80's (yes, one of the very first ones in Australia) and have had one ever since. The Galaxy Note Edge IS all that Samsung claim. Mine charges to full from 10% in about 3 hours. I got mine through Vodafone and it has worked flawlessly, even been left out in the rain over night. I run my Phantom 3P drone on it and watch movies. the screen is incredible. Dropped it more times than I care to admit to. Would highly recommend it.

I bought a note edge almost a year ago. What a fantastic piece of kit. Screen resolution - fantastic, note taking and handwriting recognition - Fantastic, All round usability - Fantastic. I work night shift and listen to music on google play. So not only do I stream music, but I also play it on a bluetooth speaker for 7 hours non stop.. By the time I get home from work I'm down to 15-20%. If that's not fantastic then slap me silly with a bread stick, cause thats a lot of power on a 3000mah battery. I just purchased a zerolemon battery which is 9000mah. So now I'll have battery power for 3 days before I need to recharge. Besides.... I've never known anyone to use their phone while sleeping which is a great opportunity for recharging. It is still far superior than the iPhone.And I say this from being an avid iPhone junkie for years myself.

I bought one new about 6 months ago and they are slow to charge (2 hours = 17%), the battery does not last a day even, there are glitches on the phone which mean I cannot pick up calls with the swipe. Pls I own a galaxy note edge sm915g indian variant purchased on December 2015 but due to some reason the front camera seems really poor kindof like extra brightness where the hair colour seems whitish instead black. Other than this everything runs butter smooth from games like mk4 fifa 16 injustice asphalt nova and Battery life too is brilliant.. and coming to the back camera is superb crisp and clear.. but i do not understand what is wrong with the front camera? And that too during clicking pictures only as when i record videos through front camera it comes out superrbb.. and iam running on android 5.0.1 and my phone was made in samsung india facility noida.. maybe for that? I have been using the phone since 6 months coming from Note 4..the note edge is one of the best phone which is soo underrated. Sorry to hear your having same problem. Week after i got note edge keyboard started lagging. So i rest keyboard setting and didnt solve problem. I tried hard reset and factory reset. But problem is still there. Ive read on google lots of ppl are having same isues. So they are supposed to have a fix for it. But wether that is true or not i dont know. Note edge would be a better option as note edge do have a card slot while the s6 edge doesn't, And note edge edge's is more customizable than that of s6 edge, plus you get a stylus in note edge which makes the note series unique. And note edge has a removable battery while s6 edge doesn't.

Hey! My girlfriend has a Note Edge and loves her phone, coming from the previous Note 3. The Edge on this phone is much more worth it than the S6, the edge on the Note has quite a few uses, like a sidebar, while the S6's edge is purely aesthetic. I don't think it'd break easily, by her phone is protected by a plastic phone case and silicone screen protector. I'd recommend it!

Who among you here tried to drop the Note Edge? Is it still worth buying nowadays that S6 edge and Edge plus have exist? My aunt is planning to buy this phone all because of its "Curve" edge but whats make her "Not sure" is she read many bad reviews about this device and now she's actually NOT SURE if she buy this or NOT. It is a non uk model and besides all n915g are receiving it and you will also get it but you live in uk so your ota wont work it will work only when the phone is in the particular region samsung kies will help you for sure

Bought two good quailty tempered glass for note edge. I use tempered glas on my note 3 all the time. But everytime i put it on the edge the tempered glass still has bubbles in it. It was expensive. Any ideas ?

Here is the reset code code for any samsung phone Dial *2767*3855# it will fully reset the phone unles there is other problems, it will vipe all and factory new, and do not ever put pin or nails on your phone. Blondi have problem with his apple that records in mono and is jealous at samsung abilities!

In the note edge at the top of the phone there are 3 holes the big hole is your earphone connecter. The one beside that is your mic and beside that is your reset button. Use a small pin to reset the phone the phone, if normal start up has problems. Im talking about the tiny reset hole. They have it in all phones and tablets. Ive note tablet and it froze on me. Cant take battery out. So i use the wee reset button. .

Don't do that, don't take Blondi's advice seriously, don't put pin on that tinny hole, you will destroy the noise cancellation microphone, that hole is microphone is used as stereo microphone and distortion cancellation microphone for calls, so i warned you don't put pin on it, if you want to reset your phone then is codes for it or you can do thrugh menu settings!

Ive the same model and havent any problems like that. At the top of phone there is a tiny pin head hole. Put a thin pin in it and press down and it will reset your phone to come on and stay on. Try it out. Hope you get it sorted.

Hard to say, but coming from a photography shop background (selling digital cameras, and being a photo industry enthusiast for many years).. same Sony IMX240 (I think - its been a year since i researched the part..) sensor in both devices,.. same software driving the chipset.. auto features on phones choose the ISO setting based on available light. Too many variables on full auto devices (I am a full manual photographer myself) that higher ISOs generally make shots grainier. Most cameras can take great shots in good light. Low light situations can quickly discern the good from the bad. The camera on this phone can only be beaten by the S6(s) due to a slightly faster lens allowing more light capture; means in low light situations the shutter can remain open for less or a lower ISO setting (less grain) can be used... The samples you are comparing, my guess, are just poor examples for comparing. All recent top tier Sammys are exemplary at photography. (for phones)

Have your telco give you a new SIM card. I had a galaxy S that had a poor sim cage, and I had to put paper or sticky tape on the back of the sim card to 'fatten' it up and make proper contact with the phone. Instead of hurting the sim cage, just get a new sim (should be a free service). Better than a warranty repair on the phone, and it fixed identical issues for me! Hope this helps you.

Not dismissing others real world experiences, I will contribute my own... I've had this phone for just shy of a year, daily driver, intense use. No resets (except for a week or two when I first had it due to a dodgy sim card, when replaced reboot issue only ONCE since (after a very nasty drop)). No overheating. Though there was a period I installed a tonne of apps and the CPU wouldn't hit low sleep states, which meant I wasn't getting days of battery life. (I used CPUZ to see what the cores were doing and that allowed me to understand why my battery life was varied.) Being a bit of a technologist, I understand that low reception zones can make phones fight hard (ramp up their power to the aerial) to keep reception. I've never had any issues with battery life or heating issues(and the phone has had lots of usage in high temperatures). I travel through zero reception areas, I leave my wifi on, connect to hidden wifi networks at home (so wifi on means my phone will fight hard/battery drain trying to connect to a hidden network) and leave my screen brightness high auto. sunlight legibility is brilliant by the way! Solid phone. I use a samsung fit band with it (love the combined functionality, eg never have to unlock my phone if wearing my 'watch', which has days of battery life as well) This is one of the better value (from a productivity point of view) phones on the planet. The S-pen has made this phone the best ever purchase for me simply for the art my daughter creates in 'Artrage'. The audio support (and samsungs useful hearing test/phone recalibrate software) make this a great audio player (and SD card support means I run FLACs and still have a huge library), but combined with the ultimate screen (and colour profiles) this phone as a multimedia device is near unbeatable. Add in things like Baldurs Gate being unplayable on non tablets, but usable due to the accuracy of a Stylus.. There really is something here, special/unique, for many users. Now that the price premiums for this unit are dropping, this is a near bargain and future proof with regards what new thing can a phone do that this one cannot. I got it to save me buying a tablet and a phone. I can handle the phablet design as it allows for seriously low SAR rate (I don't mind my daughter using this phone without frying her head). Not sure of any weaknesses, other than size and weight. Battery is phenominal, even if other phones can beat it in endurance tests, it is irrelevant as this phone WILL get even the heaviest user through a workday. I have had four day runs on many occasions, and typically recharge around the two-three day mark. Seldom have I worried about battery life, being able to crank out the tunes on the internal speaker whilst at BBQs never worrying I'll run out of juice/not be able to use the PHONE features...

Cheers, wish this reply was sooner, as that is frustrating. Not 100 % certain this is your solution, this has helped me MANY times when experiencing similar issues (for friends family and my own phones..) When mobiles get too low on charge they get stuck in a boot loop cycle. Find the genuine charger (not a car charger/third party charger or USB jack on, say, a computer..), and let it charge up the phone. It might just be it is at a very low charge. Unfortunately the low charging power supplied by majority of alternate chargers on the market will not get the juice in quickly enough.. as soon as a little charge trickles in using standard 500mv chargers, it is sucked out when the phone boots up.. A higher power charger can get it up and running, ideally charge the thing fully as it has now been a week without juice, not ideal for batteries, but hey, good luck (I hope this is all is needed, or you already have it sorted)

Both have their merits. depends on what your looking for in a phone. I personally love the LG G4 for the soul fact that it can get up to a 2tb external. (North America cant handle the over seas micro sd cards and need to make their own asap in my opinion.)

I was looking at the "Video quality comparison" page and I thought the Note Edge and Note 4 are the same camera in all aspects but the Note 4 still fram seems to be better in both "good light" and "low light" conditions. Especially when you zoom into the "BIRD'S EYE VIEW" label at the lower right hand side.

Charging 3 times daily is not normal. Did you do the initial charging and draining on the first use? After first charge, let the battery drain to zero and do this cycle for 2 or three times then you'll be good, no need to drain to zero on the succeeding charging.

Friend, i em owner of note2 and my new note edge that i did purshas about a month a go, it was under software os 444 kk, and i could go all day with single charge, but then one updat show up of about 1.2gb that i did update, but then things changed, the battery drain went quicker even phone was warming up a lot, i found out that google with its specific apps os lurking a lot in my phone and i disabled everything syncing with google and samsumg and even experimenting sport software like the footsteep to stop consuming my battery and it did help, but now few days back i did r00t my note and instaled a costume r00m and deleted even the antRadio aps and now i em so pleased to have my note edge up to two days in single charge using 4g internet connection, i guess you have to do that r00t'ing thing to and goodluck.

This is not branded as Note 4 Edge.. It's The Galaxy Note Edge. The Edge screen is perfectly functional unlike S6 edge or plus.

Recently i purchased note edge.Its seems to be very good but batter is getting drained so fastly as compared to any mobile.They are claiming that is 3000 mah but it doesnt last for more than 6 hrs.Daily we have to charge it for 3 times.More over i have done all the necessary settings to enhance battery life since battery is getting drained so fastly. pls post some suggestions to overcome this issue???

If you like using S-pen most of the time, go for Note Edge, otherwise go for S6 Edge+.

its a superb piece of technology... have been using note edge from past 10 months.. no issues at all so far.. just waiting for Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for my note edge... people go for this device if you are samsung fan..its an epic device!!!

Next time buy only original unit, don't buy immitaion unit just to save a small amount which is not worth. Immitaion unit is not supported by Samsung customer care. Buy only from authorized Samsung distributor.

I have to agree...Samsung does NOT SUPPORT their phones. I had a Galaxy S4 Active a couple years back. The phone had issues and Samsung support would tell me to call my provider. Even after I kept explaining that I was using Net10 and bought the phone new off of Ebay, they would not support it. It was less than 6 months old, and the phones had not been out a year yet. THAT IS CRAP SUPPORT! So, if you buy a phone off of ebay or Amazon, get a Square Trade or other warranty. I have used it several times on my wife's phone in the last 2 years. They haven't argued and gave me support that Samsung WILL NOT GIVE YOU!

Hi, I'm note2 user now for two year, and today i got my new note edge v.444, and i updated today to lollipop, it's just permanent bcz i will root and install modified room. I been using all day long with internet connection and installed software on it and right now i still have 31% battery life. I em happy but not much bcz of fmradio. It's really good phone but note2 is good to.

my recent experience on purchasing a samsung galaxy note 4 edge has been inconceivably beyond belief terrible !!! what a piece of shit phone as it crashes 5 to 6 times each and every single day sometimes even more. i have already done a factory reset but it has the google android lollipop which is terrible !!!! ithen there is the matter of samsung support which there is none !!these guys will do anything not to acknowledge any responsibility and will blame everything on you including it's your fault because you allowed the phone to update google android which they're pushing on you!!! what a pathetic joke these guys are. they pulled the old 'unauthorized dealer" bulshit that they all do as they're only sold to bell or rogers clients and i'm sure as hell not switching to them thank you as both are terrible crooks !!! be aware that when you buy from any other store except a dealer you have zero warranty and are left at the total mercy of where you bought it from !!! great scam eh ??? these guys are the worst ive ever encountered and i buy a new phone every year. check out the reviews online with google don't take my word for it...terrible scathing reviews everywhere then there's the new model note edge which i've heard has even more problems and breaks the phone if you put in the pen backwards. now that's engineering samsung and you wonder why apple is eating your lunch. not a mystery to anyone with a brain believe me so in closing samsung you suck the big one

Activate fingerprint, PIN, pattern or password lock to avoid unlocking the phone while in the pocket. The phone is heating when the network signal coverage is getting weak or unstable when it is set to LTE auto mode. When not using data, set it to GSM only to avoid heating and excessive battery draining. Problem solved!

I have this phone for a month now and its really cool, only faced two issues, 1- smtims when playing a music or video, i am getting the msg of 'cant play during call' which i am not, each time i have 2 go to clear the cash to let it work, any permenant solution? 2- facing error when downloading from google play, erorr 403, Still a Great Phone!!
