Bought my Samsung S7220 3 years ago. It broke down 4 weeks after the guarantee run out. Samsung could not repair it ( "no spare parts any more available" ). Would like to buy a new one. Is there a diffrerence between S7220 , as per my old manual and S 7220 "Ultra" as it is offered now ?

mr. peter,whoever said u that,he is a gr8 fool....its sound quality n cal convrstn quality is better than any other phone.it has gud spkr 4 calling and 4 music too. only lacs is,there is no cal recording option....other wise its e nice phone to handle....

yep you can, just use the usb device or bluetooth and connect it to the pc by using it's software "samsung studio..."

yes. Launch the camera application. Press the Right key button for the menu. Then goto setup. form there find the option shutter sound.

have finally bought this phone.only major problem is no call recording feature and when writing a text message the phone automatically starts its T9 feature.Makes it difficult to type texts in Bangla.Have to turn T9 off whenever i have to type a text.Otherwise very satisfied.Very good phone.I recommend this to a lot of people.Only tk9000 here in Bangladesh with warranty.

I remember I bought it with around $250 USD. Really cool phone, love it, just the GPS will take a little bit longer to load. And multi tasking is not availible. You know, taskig while phone calling.

hmm... on the S7220, there isn't an option for "none" unfortunately, just "Single" and "Dual"... so looks like we can't remove one of the clocks then :( wish i could get rid of the yellow coloured digital clock on the top right corner of the screen. spoils the entire look for me! :(

i got samsung s7220 and i have one problem: i can not use their pc software : samsung new pc studio.After installation from cd i can not open it because always i get error: NPSMain failure.After that it is trying to connect to samsung web.I tried many different versions:1.4.0.IL2, 1.2.0.ID8,1.2.0.IE6.Last mentioned version after installation upgraded itself but result is the same.I have windows xp sp3 prof.QESTION-how to use this software? Maybe samsung is cheating users and their software is not working on windows xp xp3 ??????

n6700 classic is better than this. compared to its hsdpa 7.2 mbps the 6700 has 10mbps and even an hsupa of 2 mbps. even if this is amoled 16m colors of 6700 would be better than the poor 256k colors. 6700 has 170mb while this 110 mb. we know that nokia's camera had been better than sam's. buy 6700 than this its thinner than this samsung ultra.

To remove second clock from home screen, select "Menu/ Settings/ Display and light/ Home Screen". Scroll down the screen and select "Clock". Press "OK" center key to choose any one from these options: Single, Dual, None". Press "Save". Again press "Save". Note: Above options are for my C5212 duos mobile but these are also equally applicable for your S7220 Ultra mobile.

Upgraded my mobile in July to this model Lucido by Samsung. Since doing so my phonebill has escalated, I have to send photographs to my works office using the email facility on this phone. I have incurred charges of �54 since July. I never had charges like this when I used my old mobile phone for the same task. Has anyone had the same experience please?

I just bought this phone recently, and I realised in the Camera function, after I adjusted and on the Anti-Shake function, it will automatically be back to default after I exit the camera. It can be quite annoying. Anyone out there experiencing this problem too, it really gets me annoying. And another thing is I am unable to hide my service provider logo in this phoe, unlike those old samsung phones I used that allowed me to hide it.

Just got this phone and must say the look and feel are great however there seems to be very limited ring tone choices and there does not seem to be any key tones or incoming message tones to choose from. Also the phone does not come with any games - if you want them you have to download and pay for them.

Headset connector is the stupid "multifunction jack" proprietary type, but the packaging includes an adapter lead from [stupid] to 3.5mm, and a matching set of earphones. At least I think it's 3.5mm. Maybe it's 2.5mm. I'll check later.

First impressions - I've only had the phone for one day, after using Sony Ericsson phones for the last 5 years, so I'll probably be over-picky about the differences. The screen looks great; bright and plenty of contrast even on the lowest brightness setting. The phone is very light and slim, even with the battery. BUttons are large and easy to use, although the softkeys seem a bit small, and are placed so close to the end-call button that I often press that button accidentally and get returned to the Idle Mode screen. Not used the Music Player yet (I have a perfectly good MP3 player with more memory and a proper headphone socket), but it seems to make good use of the D-pad. Camera seems to work well even indoors, which is impressive, considering the lens and sensor are probably smaller than my thumb-nail. Annoyances: * No voice-dialling, so inbound calls only on handsfree * Connecting a handsfree kit requires a key-press on the phone to confirm a prompt: isn't this what "Hands Free" is supposed to avoid? * Some simple tasks need too much dinking around the menus, for lack of a dedicated button on the phone (e.g. deleting items), but that may be just SE-withdrawal.

The buttons on the keypad produce a solid click - I don't think they require much force, but you may disagree. I suggest you find a demonstration model in a store and try it for a moment. I do find that if I use the phone with one hand, I seem to strain my thumb reaching for buttons in the bottom row - it's easier to use two-handed.

@memba, I have a PDF of the user guide here in front of me. The only 'voice' references are to voice calls and voice memo. There is no voice-dialling feature on this phone, which is a little disappointing, since even my old SE T610 had that feature 5 years ago. So you can only *receive* calls hands-free; and when you switch on your headset (mine's a Jawbone), the phone prompts you to accept the device, so you still have to dig out the phone and press a soft-key. Not as elegant as SE, but it's early days yet, so I'm prepared to put up with this and give the phone a chance.

A Fantastic phone @ the price. I got it 5 days back and found it more than exciting. The best thing is the size and weight, which is always my great concern. Prior to this phone, I ve been using Nokia N82 & Sony Ericsson C902. No doubt I enjoyed both, but after using this Samsung machine, I admit that it has more pleasure in handling, using and marking a style. Following 3 points, where this phone marks above Nokia N82 & Sony Ericsson C902: 1. Screen Quality (more than decent) 2. Camera pictures (greaaaaaat) 3. Stylish design..specially the red line @ edges (my friends appreciated it very much) 4. Size & Weight (your pocket does not look like pregnant) So, I recommend this phone to those who have priorities as above.

Actually this phone reminds me of the Samsung Soul, and the U800. The calendar display icons are the same, so is the memo layout and the tasks. Plus how you can save them into the memory card. Also your files are the same. Plus the theme creator is the same!!! It's certainly not like the G600 (an example of another phone by Samsung). The only thing that is different is the battery life, it is very good, unlike the soul.
