I've had this phone for 3 or 4 years now. It's relatively easy to text on, but there are a few issues. Well, not just a few. 1)You can only use four ringtones for a text message, you can not customize it. 2)This phone has a short battery life, which gets EVEN SHORTER the longer you have it! 3)Tge sound quality you get during a phone call when it is set on Speaker Phone is very poor. 4)This is not a good phone to have if you plan on keeping your phone more than 2 years. When you text, it will sometimes not register with the phone that you have oressed a certain letter, ir it will type the letter twice. Another problem, one that just sprung up for me about 5 days ago, is the screen becomes defective. You can only see color, everything else is simply a pixelated blur, and images tend to slightly shift. I hope my review was helpful!

Had my phone for YEARS. My phone has a battery that lasts for 3days on a single charge. and that's with me yapping all the time. only complaint for me is the t-zone button which is absolutely useless.

If your looking to get a phone that will make you happy... don't get this one. This phone is SO disapointing. The camera, well, can they even call it a camera? I call it multiple specks of colour scrambled onto a screen. It has viterually nothing to do but text. There are so many phones you can text with, just about the same way, that are like 100,000 times better than this! The call quality is also scratchy and unruly. Save yourself the stress, don't have to deal with this phone. Get another one thats not as unconditionally bad. I don't have any good thing to say about this phone except for one: I'm taking it back to the shop.

It's good for it's price, but in general it still sucks. The keyboard is nice but for me it would sometimes double click a letter, so my message wwoouulldd bbee lliikkee tthhiiss. Camera quality is pretty bad, the back cover is hard to take off, the small cover over the charger slot is hard to pull off, it has a small memory, and you cannot have custom text tones (they supply you with 4, you cannot add any or set music on your phone as a text tone). If you text a lot and don't care about the tones they provide, this is a pretty decent phone. For music lovers like me it sucks, since it can't hold many songs and the songs you put on your phone can only be set as ringtones, not text tones. Unlike some other reviewers, my battery was fine.

At first this phone looks attractive and i am one of those unfortunate people that went for its looks.I just wanted a basic phone with a nice Qwerty keyboard.Although the keyboard is nice and all and the phone performs basic tasks well, here are a few things that i experienced that your cell phone provider won't tell you right away about the phone: 1.150 text message capacity on phone.(Then delete to make space). 2.Poor battery life. 3.For some reason the phone accidentally turns off by itself in your pockets (random buttons pressed ?:S).(This also drove me crazy because i would have to deal with friends who were angry with me since they kept calling and texting and i didn't even know. 4.The slot for charging/headphones is annoying to open unless you have long nails or something sharp to open it. 5.No custom ring-tones unless you pay for them online. 6.The interface is sketchy and looks unprofessional or as if it's for some earlier model phone from year 2000 or something. 7.The microphone where you speak from is located under the phone,rather than the front,making it sometimes difficult to get your voice heard. 8.The phone is bulky and kinda heavy, and who thought up of the "lime green and Grey"color combination?:S The "white and aqua" looks a bit better. *These are just my own opinions from personal use of this phone,your opinion may be different.Just trying to help people make better choices.Cheers*

The specifications should include that the micro memory card capacity according to the official Samsung specifications reads: "External Memory - up to 4gb microSD" Though this is a relatively modest phone using 2008 technology, it suits his purpose for texting his buddies. this is a good little phone BUT it doesnt transfer phonebook or call display to alot of bluetooth systems. I just spent $1500 on a bluetooth system for my work truck and now have to buy a new phone to use it.

this phone is a very good simple phone everything is fine with this phone except with the battery but u can save more battery by going to these steps settings display settings backlight duration then after duration click on 15 sec and turn the dim off then go to brightness and go to the lowest light save it. it should help your phone batter hoped it helped :)

this phone really sucks. you cannot personalize text tones, the battery will charge all night and then loose a cell as soon as you take it off the charger, it can't read all memory cards, you cannot turn off the shutter noise if you wish to take a picture, and it can only hold anout 150 text messages before you have to start deleting them

I bought a Nokia 2720 phone at Target for $29(on sale from $39) as a prepaid phone. It came with 10 free min, but I just put in my contract T-mobile SIM card. My reason for switching from a Samsung Gravity to a $30 Nokia is that the Gravity gets very poor reception, especially in my home. So far problem solved. Not one dropped call yet. I've had the Nokia for a few days now. The Gravity would drop a call within 2-3 min, or at best the other party couldn't hear me. No bars all over my home, now, at least 2 bars and only one report of my voice sounding weird.

This phone is pretty good. The battery life is not too great. The only thing that really bugs me is that I cannot set my own sound for when I get a text. The phone only offers four tones that I personally don't love.

HI, As far as the t-zone button, you can press the asterisk and it will lock the phone so that buttons don't get pressed when you're not using it. As for the battery, you can go to the setting and lower the brightness so that it doesn't die too quickly. BTW, I just got the phone yestarday and I am still in testing mode, but so far I really like it. Also, I found out that you can check your email for free by going to m.yahoo.com on your tzones. It's the only site that I have found to work, I am still checking. If you go to the IM and Email from the menu you get charged for every message sent or received, but going to the m.yahoo.com site is free :)

I got this phone just over a week ago (I know, late!) and so far, I love it! There are only a few flaws.. When you text in T9 mode, using the front number keypad, I'm a fast texter and if you press the buttons too fast, it can't keep up with you so if you press the "6" three times it might just get you to the "N" instead of the "O". Another thing is, the battery life pretty much sucks.. but not all of the time. I don't have to charge my phone every night, and I text a lot. During school, I keep my phone off (most of the time) and I text on the bus in the morning and the afternoon. The battery isn't too bad, but it's definitely not has good as average phones. One day I texted kind of a lot, and my battery was out by 4:00 pm. Something that really annoys me is the t-zones button on the phone. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the left button is the menu, and the right button is t-zones. I didn't get internet, and more than a few times now, I accidentally went to t-zones while putting my phone in my jeans pocket. There are only two options for the phone theme. :( white and black. not cool. The keyboard is amazing and I love the smoothness of the phone. Overall, I give this phone a 7.5 out of 10 stars. :)

I got my wife this phone when we switched from at&t. Neat little phone but recently been having issues with txt msg storing. Aparently it stores on the sim instead of phone memory so she can only get 30 txts haven't found a solution to this yet, so if anyone knows how to set it up to save onto the phone memory that would be GREAT! ***ALSO for anyone that wants to use 4gb microsd hc download gparted and format the microsd to fat16. Turn off the phone, insert the microsd, turn phone on and let it load the folders, remove it and now you have all the preset folders for the phone, load ur music & pictures that you want and insert the microsd back into the phone. Viola!

The battery life is fairly decent. But if you're a super heavy texter you might need to charge this phone every night/day. This phone, I think is only for T-Mobile too, I may be wrong please correct me. The only down I found in this phone would be the keyboard has no T9 or Word function for extra fast texting. That feature is only for the normal number pad. Oh yea this phone has great internal mememory too! Half a gigabyte or a whole gig can't remeber! Please forgive me of my mispelling, and puntucation too. I hoped my review helped!

Great phone in general. Not as fat as older slide out querty phones and the screen is nice and big. The keyboard isn't easy to use at first because of the recessed keys, but after a bit you can fly. I don't know why it doesn't have FM radio which samsung has standard on a bunch of their phones. Also the MP3 player is wonky.

You must be dumb. cause there is no phone in the world that doesnt show the caller name. you cant just put the number in without the area code or it wont work. im sure tmobile did not confirm this and you misunderstood or are trying to be cool. have you ever noticed that if you get a call from someone who is not in your phonebook the number includes the area code???? so you have to save it like that in your phone book. the phone doesnt know what area code you want. there are numbers that are the same in different area codes. it works, this is not a big deal. you just need area codes.... like every other phone

Some phones have different internal antennas and and maybe your old one had an antenna which made it better. but you might be able to fix this by buying an antenna booster. all you need to do is go to google and type in "antenna booster" it should work and they are not to expensive, all you need to do is take off the back and take the battery out and take the adhisive off the back of the antenna booster and stick it to the phone (between the battery and phone) make sure where it say "up" is facing the top off the phone. i also know how it is to not have service, i barely get it at my house! but i hope this helps, cause i know how important it is to have service! :]

I'm having terrible reception with mine and am on the 2nd replacement. Battery problem got solved and you're right - the texting is super (that's why I got it since my boss texts like crazy). T-mobile doesn't want to help me get different model until I've gone through 3 replacements to get it covered under warrantee. Make sure that you have the right drivers loaded on your computer and make sure the phones USB Mode Setting is on "Modem" I could'nt get the Samsung PC Studio to work with my phone either until I tried switching the USB Setting from Mass Storage to Modem. The mass storage setting is if you want to transfer to a memory card. PC Studio only transfers to and from the phones memory and so you want the USB on "Modem" setting Works perfectly now

I'm using a Gravity as a temporary phone. I haven't had any problems with the battery life so far, but I get horrible reception with this thing! I can barely get service in my own house. The QEWRTY isn't the best, either. It's a little too crammed. The phone is quite heavy, too. It makes my old N95 seem like a feather-weight.

I love my Samsung T459 Gravity. The users who have said there is nothing wrong with the battery are right. It is the battery life indicator. For example, if you only see one line left on the indicator, there is about 40% battery life left. Kind of like when your car's gas gauge is a bit off. No need to panic when it shows low, only when it blinks red. The phone works beautifully, does great texting and takes great pictures. T-Mobile told me that Samsung is working on the issue with the battery life indicator and will let us all know when it is fixed and tell us what to do. I love this phone!!! Go Samsung!!!

Because I bought it, used it at that moment, because the dude who gave me the phone did everything for me, so my phone was turned on after a minute, then the battery began to drop. Love the phone overall. Message tones suck, however. There are only 4 choices and they're all too mellow and soft. Can't seem to figure out how to change them. You can load your own ringtones with a microSD card, but not message tones it seems. That really sucks. Got it for 50 dollars via tmobile.com with 2 yr. extension. There's a 50 dollar rebate so basically, it's free. Big step up for me as the phone it replaced was a nokia 3390. Would have really liked an iPhone or g1 but can't see spending so much on the data plans.

Get a usb cable for the Gravity. Make sure you get the right samsung drivers installed on your computer. Then download the Samsung PC Studio from the Samsung Mobile Website. Its a free download and it actually works pretty good. With the Phone Explorer feature you can upload files to your phone or download files to your computer and do it easily.

Like someone else mentioned, the Gravity is just a basic phone. Its meant for basically talking and texting. It has other features like stereo bluetooth, usb, memory card slot. All in all Its feature set is appropriate for a phone of it's price. So therefor I disagree with the person who says its useless. For the people who just want to talk and text and don't want to blow a load a load of money on a phone whose features they don't need or will use, a phone like this will serve their needs well. The bottom line is if you want a smartphone.....buy a smartphone. But don't expect to get smartphone features and capabilities for the price of a basic phone. Its hard to criticize the Gravity when it can be had for next to nothing. Its a basic phone at a basic price.

The battery life is a known issue with this phone, however according to Samsung and T-Mobile the issue is not with the battery itself but with the battery indicator. The reps I have spoken with have advised their customers not to worry about charging the device until the battery indicator is blinking, as the phone will typically last a fairly long time with only 1 battery bar remaining.

well k@am i have to say..., nothign to do with this phone it just have that fancy QWERTY keyboard... nothing else, the camera must be good for the price 1,3 mpix doesnt seem to be too much but in my collection of phones i have a samsung E496 and it has a pretty good 1.3 mpix camera. Now, why this phone is a waste of money?, because u cant do anything useful with it!, it has that fancy QWERTY keyboard but it doesnt have wifi to use it as a really portable laptop, it doesnt even support 3G to have a decent internet....,is just a waste, if u want a good phone you should look for a more expensive samsung or maybe a nokia with symbian. the only thing u can do with this phone is write SMS really fast...

Battery life sucks.. (im a huge texter) fully charged at 8am, dead by noon big turn off: music stops when you close the 'window' when you text more than like 3 people at the same time, it mixed up the names. ex) it says text from 'mike' when its really a text from 'ariel' another problem, the alarm! you can only set it to sound an alarm or tone. not vibrating.. sucks. message tones suck too.. other than that.. its alright.. would i recommend it to someone else? nope.. im thinking about selling mine and getting another one.. i cant stand the battery life.. if you get it, invest in a car charger. you'll need it.

Ok I would like to take back one statement..... Now that I have been using the phone....The battery life is sucky... the 1st three bars go down REALLY quick...I FULLY charged it @ 7pm on the 10th... and it was on 2 bars @ 5pm on the 11th... and i was on the phone for 2hrs at one time...it went down to one bar about 12am.......and i let it stay that way and it was starting to die @ 7:45am...so hopefully since tmobile is aware they will fix this!!!! other than tht I LOVEEE THE PHONE!

yES, you may set the pics to go to your memory card. I just recieved my phone...so here is MY review... The phone is PERFECT =] It has all the features you need of a smart phone exept wifi and all the other junk i didnt use on my BB Curve. The pictures are decent, the sound is good! nice and loud..speakphone is great! call quality is good. The texting buttons are good on the front and the qwerty board. Battery life FOR ME, has NOT been a problem. You can set pic id's and ringers for ppl in your address book. You can set mp3s to your phone from your memory card, just move from card to a playlist. The phone is a really good, budget friendly phone tht has everything you need from an organiser to keep appts, frames for your pics with photo editor for fun, music player, and great for texting! I hve had some of the most expensive phones, nd I LOVE my gravity. Also the phone is solid, sturdy feeling....doesnt feel light weight and cheap.... CONS: the d*** messaging tone can NOT be changed.....nd the pre set tones suck... hhaha but thats the only quirk i have found, along with the basic kiddy style menu samsung had in 2004 =) HOPE THIS HELPS! Two excellent things about this phone that must be applauded are its bluetooth feature which works like a charm. Its paired with anything and everything i've tried to pair it with and it keeps the connection open. I've had more expensive phones where the bluetooth was useless. The second thing is the absolute ease of transferring music, pix, ringtones to and from the phone. Whether i'm loading to the phone or memory card, the USB Connection transfers with ease.

To anyone who has or is planning to get this phone let me tell you about the only two things I don't like about it. I have had the phone for about a week, and as far as the charging issue goes, the battery bar just reads incorrectly. It will drain to one bar after about a day, but once it is there it seems to last for awhile. I bought the phone on sunday, charged it, and didn't have to charge it again until thursday. But the biggest disappointment had to be not able to change the message tone. It has 4 preset ones you can change it to, but it cannot be customized to anything you have. If anyone has been able to figure this little part out, please let me know!

Yes, you can assign a picture stored in your phone as a picture I.D Get the number you want to assign a pic too, go to options then edit, then scroll to "picture ID" press add/ok and then assign a pic as your picture I.D!

You can get the contacts to show up but its a little tricky at first. If they are saved on your SIM card then you have to search through the phone to change a setting to display SIM and Phone Contacts then they will all show up when people call. How you do this is:1. Menu 2. Contacts 3. Management 4. View Contacts. Then Select Phone and SIM Card I hope this helps since it took me forever to figure this shit out. Does anyone know how to fix the battery issue?

i think i have the answer for the gravitys battery life i talked to the guy at tmobile who has a demo gravity for six mos with the same issue he said you need to turn the phone off and let it charge it charge completly it seems to have worked for me

YES! You can save MPS's as ringtones and assign them to numbers. All you need to do is make sure that the tone, sound, mp3 etc is stored in the phones memory and not on a removable memory card Select the number, press options, press edit, scroll down to ringtone and press add. From there you can change the ringtone for any number,

about everyones concern with the caller id, you have to save the area code with the number. if it doesnt have the area code then it will not show the name. thats the same on most samsungs. even if you live in a small area where there is only one area code you have to save it. i work at tmobile and just confirmed this on our store demo.

I think the caller I.D problem may be an issue associated with Fave 5 plans. Like the other person who posted, I don't have a Fave 5 plan and my caller I.D with both name & number works fine. Overall, I've enjoyed using the Gravity. Yeah, the battery could be better, but I'll deal with it until a better aftermarket one is available. I bought it for its low price and messaging capabilities and I have'nt been disappointed

Glad I don't have a Fave 5 plan....LOL I got a promotional plan when I switched to T-Mobile in 2005 that is not available anymore. 1000 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekends for $40.00 a month. I do not have a Fave 5 plan and all of my numbers in my phonebook show up with names in my caller id.

In regards to "What does QWERTY provide?" I may have misunderstood but it sounds as if you're not familiar with what QWERTY is. QWERTY is simply the first 6 letters on a standard keyboard or typewriter and in this context indicates the phone has a keyboard with the same layout as your computer's keyboard. Copy or move the entries in your phonebook from the sim card memory to the phones memory and they will show up on the caller i.d by name as well as picture i.d and assigned ringtones. All of mine do and I don't have a Fave 5 plan.

I got this phone last week from T-Mobile. T-Mobile doesn't offer much in the way of full qwerty keyboards. Here is what I have discovered about this phone so far: The Good: -You can make your own ringtones from mp3s or midis and put them on the phone. -Great functioning full qwerty keyboard. -Inexpensive for those on a budget. -Decent sound quality for music. -Bluetooth works great. -Samsung quality. Solid. Doesn't feel like it will break if you handle it rough. The Bad: -Battery life sucks. (Everyone here seems to agree as well.) -No caller ID names come up on the phone unless they are in your "five faves". Only the number shows up when the phone rings for everyone else (even if they are in your phonebook). This has been confirmed by T-Mobile. -Samsung claims that up to 4gig SD cards are supported when in reality only up to 2gig SD cards work in the phone. -Call quality could be better if you actually want to talk on your phone instead of just texting. Lots of pros and only a few cons, but the cons are really bad. I think I will probably take this phone back to T-Mobile. The worst thing about it for me is the caller ID disappointment.

The Gravity does have USB capability. You'll need a usb cord. Plug it into your computer then into the same slot for charging the battery and you can transfer your pix, tunes, vids to and from your computer and phone. It has worked without any problems at all for me.

I love the full key pad. Need it because I'm in my forties and learning to text my teens. But, I also wanted to get rid of my old mp3 player and store music on my phone. It does not have a normal headphone jack!!! I live in a small town, and have to order the adaptor on line, for extra money. Plus, the memory is limited. I should have just gotten the blackberry. By the time I buy the adaptor, the memory card, the adaptor cable for my computer because it doesn't have the usual outlet for usp connection, it costs the same as it would for a less capable phone.

i jsut got this phone like yesterday and its an amaziiing phonee. the only problem ii have is the battery life (but so is everyone else) and i cant get my phonebook to work. i try to open up the application (?) and then all that comes up is "mobile is initiating backup" and i dont now what that means. I recently purchased the Samsung Gravity and almost returned it due to the poor battery life. I previously had a BlackBerry that stopped working. I did not want to replace it with another BlackBerry and decided to give this phone a try because I liked the QWERTY keyboard. I found a few forums that suggested allowing the batter to fully drain before recharging. I repeated this process for two days and now my battery holds a full charge. I charged it this morning and it is almost 5 pm eastern and I still have a full charge. I hope that this means the problem has been solved.

Despite the substandard battery, I really, really enjoy using this phone. I've had several cell phones in the past years and this is one of my favorites. It suits my needs very well and has the features I want and need and none that I don't. I like the straight-forward design of the phone and the easy learning curve. A couple of tips on using the USB Connection to upload or download files to and from the Gravity...... If transferring to or from a micro memory card, make sure you have the USB option on the phone set to "Mass Storage" that way you can transfer to the card by just dragging and dropping the mp3's, pics, ringtones, wallpappers. If you want to transfer to and from the phone's internal memory you can download the Samsung PC Studio from the Samsung Website. If you use the PC Studio, you have to switch the USB Setting to "Modem"

I agree with the other person who said he/she thought the problem was with the battery power meter not reading the battery life properly and not the battery itself. I run this thing down to one bar and i'm still talking with the bluetooth on and listening to music for a long while before it stops completely. The battery is a non issue for me.

The USB/Charging port are one in the same. A usb cord compatable for the phone and your computer will work. You can get the cables pretty cheap from a load of different cell phone accessory websites.

I think the battery issue may be more of a problem with the battery power meter than the actual battery itself. Its been my experience that the meter will move down to one or two bars really quickly, but the last one or two bars seem to last quite awhile. Thats been my experience anyway.

Heres my take on the Gravity.....I've had it and used it for about a month now. When I needed a new phone, I just wanted a basic phone that I could talk, text and listen to music with. I did'nt need a phone to surf the web or give me direction anywhere. Hell! I'm a man....who needs directions anyway! I just wanted a basic phone that was'nt going to cost me an arm and a leg to purchase and then nickel and dime me for everything afterwards in an attempt to use it to its full capability. I think i made a pretty good choice. I've enjoyed using the Gravity. Its a good basic communication device. My calls sound nice and clear and texting is a breeze with this phone. I like how easy it was to hook up the USB to my computer and download tunes and pics and ringtones. I have over 350 songs and counting on my 2gb Memory Card. The sound quality is fantastic, especially for a phone of this price. I'm thankful for the bluetooth feature on this phone. It actually works and works great! It has paired with everthing i've tried to pair it with. This phone is easily customizable with Rintones, Wallpapers, Caller ID pics and ringtones. I like the fact i can use an mp3 as a ringtone and I don't have to pay anyone for it. I'm not stuck purchasing stuff from ONLY T-Mobile like other phones and carriers make you do. The only two negatives with this phone are its lack of voice dialing/recognition. It would have been nice to have and of course the much mentioned weak battery. Its a pain, but I bought an extra travel charger for peanuts and keep it at work to give it an extra charge if i need to. Hopefully Samsung or T-Mobile will offer customers a more powerful, extended battery. All in all, I enjoy the phone. The price was right and appropriate for its feature set. For a basic, low cost phone with good performance, it's hard to beat the Gravity

I just got the phone yesterday (white & aqua) and i LOVE it. the battery life could be a tad better but its not horrible to the point of returning it. The phone is pretty darn sleek and the slide out keyboard is def a great catch. The keys are not too small and its pretty easy to get the hang of texting. OH! and the camera quality is not to shabby either.

I have had better luck with the battery than it seems others have. Maybe I'm not as active with the phone as others, I don't know. But having said that, I will say that the battery does drain more quickly than it should. I picked up a car charger online for next to nothing in case I need some extra juice at times, until i can find an aftermarket extended battery, like I've done with previous phones. I can see where its a major problem for some, but its has'nt been for me.

The Gravity does indeed have a speakerphone. I've found it works pretty well. What works even better is its bluetooth connectivity. It pairs with different gadgets like a dream and stays connected. I love using it for music listening. I pair it with a Motorola S-9 stereo headset and rock out....LOL It does'nt have voice dialing which is a bummer though

Because even without either 3G or the other, the keyboard still makes it easier to compose and send simple messages if you are in an extended exchange with somebody. For a quick msg, I like the fact that I can still text without the keyboard. For longer exchanges, the keyboard is nifty. With or without 3G

I just got this phone and I love it. The full keyboard is great and it is very easy to use. My only complaints are 1) it isnt very customizable. The left and right selection keys and up/down/left/right pad cant be customized for specific actions 2) it can be connected with your computer (to add pictures/music), but you have to buy an extra cord to do so

The specifications are what they are for a phone in this price range. You are not going to get a phone that makes your lunch and steers your car for the price of this phone. Its designed for people who don't need all the latest and greatest gadgetry in their cell phone. And just to mentioned one positive feature other than the keyboard....The bluetooth. It actually works and works well! Something I can't say for some of the more expensive phones that i've owned.

Like the phone. Could not get the 4 gig sd card to work as advertised - 2 gig worked fine. No wired stereo headset available yet. This phone is perfect for simple texting and a basic mp3 player phone.

Ok someone said they dont get having the 2 keyboards Its very nice when u can only use one hand to dial, text, answer/hang up your phone etc and if your sending a lengthy text the full qwerty is awesome for that so its a huge deal to have the outer keypad This phone for the price $49.99, come on guys, is a steal I first got the samsung behold but the internet sucked so bad I had the service cut off the web wasnt worth paying for , so basically it was a high end texting phone with a touch screen big deal. Touch screen phones are a pain to text with and the big bright display on all touch screens( iphone,g1, behold etc) is nice but drains the battery really fast The size isnt that bad on this phone and it not too heavy at all is a very simple phone but is loud, good phone call volume and has a great qwerty keyboard for a cheap price.. if you want a mini laptop this phone isnt for you spend the xtra hundreds and get one.. hope this helps

I love this phone, it will suit me very well, as I'm a heavy txter myself aswell. But the thing is, I do thing that having QWERTY keypad without WiFi is an odd combination, (it's pretty easy to find HOT SPOTS where I live, and QWERTY keypad definately helps when surfing the net).

I bought this phone yesterday and think it's a neat little phone. I'm a heavy texter and i did'nt want to dump a ton of money on features I don't need and won't use. The reception quality seems to be good. Calls are crisp and clear. It paired with my Bluetooth Devices with no hitches at all. The slideout keyboard is slick. The keys feel good and are easy to use. It does'nt have voice dialing which is a small bummer and although the music sound is good and even great paired with my Motorola S9 Stereo Blutooth Headset, I don't like the format of the Music Player Its not huge, but it is a bit on the heavy side, compared to some of the other hansets out there. The build quality seems pretty solid. All in all, I'm happy for choosing this phone. It has the features I want and none that I personally don't need.

I picked this phone up cause I wanted a simple phone to make calls and send text's. It serves my needs perfectly. I don't need a $400 phone to surf the web and watch youtube vids when I have a computer at home to do that with. And the camera? Who cares if its 1.3 or 2.4 or 3.5 or whatever. When I go to Hawaii on vacation next spring, I'll be using a "real" camera to take my pics, not a phone camera regardless of its price. The bottom line is that if you need a smartphone, buy a smartphone. Its kind of pointless to a criticize a phone because it does'nt have smartphone features whenever everybody knows its not a smartphone to begin with.....LOL For the price, the Gravity is a good basic little phone that does what it claims to do.

You guys are talking about LG "RUMOR' which is CDMA not GSM. Have you seen Samsung "RANT" or "Messenger"?? They are CDMA as well for Sprint and MetroPCS. This is just a GMS version of RANT for T-Mobile, US. RANT looks better and comes with 2 mp cam though.
