It's surprising how big manufacturers like Samsung don't understand what customers want. This phone is a great expample - A screen that is a good size for those who dont want a 'phablet' but all the other features are poor - a low resolution camera, an operating system that doesn't run many apps etc.

I have been using samsung j series fr some time Tizen is kinder cool than the android system which has a problem with background running programs which chop airtime.Tizen has a slight problem in banking apps if on they update Tizen os.Overally its a bettr phone than most android phones.

they should focus on integration of Tizen and Android not doing stuff like hybrid sim (my Z2 is dual micro sim with dedicated slot thanks) and not upsizing the batt further when the procie itself is 1,5ghz already(a 2000mAH is minimal for this already)

I am very unhappy paid R999.00 at Ackermans Southdale for Samsung Z4 thinking because it is Samsung it is a good product. After only 4 months the Whatsapp stopped working, gave error message "date incorrect" but date was incorrect. I could not replace the phone because store policy only 7 days return. I had to send it in for repairs. I think stores and suppliers have this policy because they know phones won't last. They scam people in this manner to either buy a new phone or buy the more expensive ones. It is not as if people can afford to buy new phones or expensive ones all the time. I must say I am very disappointed in this product. What is worse it is not compatible with banking apps because it runs on Tizen not on Google play or App store. I will say it again at this point I am not a fan of Samsung.

I have used the Z4 with the tizen store app extensivly ,I have been able to load any app I wish and have had no problems with the phone it is fast ,a nifty phone ,fits in the pocket . I would rather use the tizen store app than the smart phone it's of much better quality

Samung's 2nd attempt in their latest/own operating system being Tizen OS. You only pay R800 to R1000 South African rands which makes it clear that this is an entry level phone not a high end phone with premium specs for high performance. Most Samsung phones run Android OS(owned by Google) and if the Tizen OS(owned by Samsung) comes right the more they update it and improve it surely Samsung will start making more and more Tizen OS based phones leading to high end premium specs for high performance. Just create a Tizen account on Tizen store using your cellphone number or e-mail (simply by following the on screen instructions) make sure you have data/airtime. As soon as you're done you'll be able to install new apps or update apps just fine. Obviously it's a frustrating experience for now as people assume everything is "Android" and I blame some shops for not explaining to the customers that this is not an Android phone.

After some hairraising experiences with my Sony Experia Z3 details of bad experiences that will fill a book my dear wife thought she would do me a favour and bought me a Samsung Z4. I have no words that are printable so I wont go there. On the second day after purchase the phone started hanging and no amount of pressing buttons would make it work. Only way was to open the phone and take out the battery and then reboot it. I took it to my ISP MtN and they investigated the problem and said there was a virus on the phone. Good grief I had not even been on the internet so how that this happen. It seemed to work for a while and then the same problem every time after charging it would freeze (maybe that is why its called a Z4 z as in freeze. I would imagine that the clips on the cover are by now well worn and will eventually stop functioning from the amount of times I have opened removed the battery and closed it again. This morning for some reason Whatsapp stopped functioning and come up with a message your phone date is inaccurate! Adjust your clock and try again. HAAAHHAAA you can do what you like I cannot get it to work. Worst of all I took it to the Samsung Agents in Port Elizabeth and they told me to leave it with them for fixing under warrantee but I should backup all my data because that will get lost when they upgrade the OS Tizen. When I purchased the phone it came with a charging cable with a mains two pin plug and earphones but no communication cable to connect to a USB port on my computer which is needed to download my info from the phone. R120 later I went home to try and get the info off of the phone only to be told that my computer does not recognise the device and cannot copy the pictures to my PC. Samsung wants R180 to backup the data and reinstall it after they have done their magic. It could well be that R1400 later I still will not have a functional phone. I would like a Warrantee Assessment from Samsung to restore my trust in this phone. So far it has turned out to be a DUDD

I got this phone yesterday and fair enough its a new OS and not many are used to it. Everything works as it should. Functionality is smooth and so far no hiccups. Its a great little phone as an entry level phones go. Camera is good all apps work perfectly. The app store has to play catch up but all in due course.

Z4 is running on Tizen OS. it is not an Android phone. Android apps will not work in this phone. There is no hybrid card slot in Z4. it has dedicated SD card slot. and 2 SIM card slots.

Maybe if Samsung wants Tizen to be more popular they should add it to phones with resolutions higher than 480p, cameras with better resolutions than 5mp, and RAM higher than 1 gb.
