Sharp GX33 - User Reviews

  • free serial

  • I've just 'purchased' (came free with contract) the Sharp GX33 from Vodafone. On Vodafone's website it states the camera is 1.3 mega pixel...

  • loved the GX30, the 902, 903 and would love the 904 ;0( this one doesnt really interest me id of thought it would have a better camera on it!! WHY ARE'NT SHARP PHONES AVAILABLE IN THE UK!! there 10x better than the phones we do get!! ;0(

  • vga, 640x480 pixels what the hell is this something is wrong here sharp you're the best screen makers and board makers what is going on

  • it's kinda strange sharp are meant to be the best screen makers and even mobile phones at some point but thay seem to have not been produceing phones like thay use to.... maybe thay have something up around the corner who knows this is one crazy market now something new everyday from these big companys ??

  • ive said for ages that sharp could be big in europe again but if harlekken says not yet then i believe him he"s been around for ages,,remember skater 42 ??? I love the jap phones and loved the sharp 903 and had gx30 and gx10 but toshiba made the ts921 for us and 803 and they too dissapeared as such,,after having the bad s/ep990i i think vga screens need to be installed at that size screen(2.8 inch) so how sharp got vga in a small screen is pushing it..Its not a case of sharp bringing out any old fone we want the good stuff and will just have to weight i suppose,,lifes not fair is it ??

  • @ Tosi You know the reasons for why SHARP is DELIBERATELY not producing Japan-style phones in Europe. There is no market here. For the few tech-savvy users like us it would be OK, but most people can't afford a $350 + installments + 24 months. You know what the 910SH is capable of, but a brick of a phone doesn't sell in Europe, so why bother? They've tried with the 902 and 903 and sales figures were appalling. You can't have it all: either a small, stylish handset - or a brick but the latest and best that one can have. I'd personally choose the brick, but hey - if I was the market... On top of that - most jap phones are offering features we haven't yet even beta-tested (including VGA content). So Vodafone cannot and will not offer a phone that doesn't fully support its native network. Let's bet that in 2008 things will slowly change! Harlekkin

  • Well, the dude is right Sharp wake up. U used to be one of the greatest but now you are sleeping! Whith what you should come up: 1. New slim phone like samsung, lg etc. 2. Display type: TFT 16M because 256 is getting older. 3. Size of the display i like it at sharp 904 its cool ( 480x640 pixels). but tft should be 16M colours. Than you have the best display phone number. 4. 128 channels for ringtones should work with mp3, and 3d sorround speaker, so u have excellent voice quality. 5. New design, weight of it not more 110 g. 6. New camera 5 mega pixel, do an comparison between samsung G600, nokia N95 and sony ericsson K850. so u have a clue how should the design, not so big and thin like n95 i rather prefer dimension of sasmsung g600 but not the design. 7. I'm not trying to be very smart, this is only my wish and i know that sharp can do it. Before several years they hed the best dispay phones, the pictures you used to make with sharp where better than real. i don't know the reason why, it was maybe about their developed cameras or optics, im just gessing now. but they were cool. always i have been fascinated from sharp but not lately! In the end sorry for my opinion, but i know that im at the right place for giving it.

  • This phone has nothing special, period. I'm a Sharp fan & lover, so I know what I'm talking about when it come to Sharp. I've owned 2 GX-30, 1 GX-30i, 1 GX-15 & 1 GX-17. I also owned the masterpiece SH903 ( but not the 902 wich I didn't like it's look ). Actually I still have a GX-29 and I'm gonna buy, once again, a GX-17. But Sharp should wake up. Look at what S-E & Nokia are marketing right now. Sharp used to be a leader and now, at the best, Sharp is a lower follower. Hey Sharp people, what the hell are you doing ? Japanese market are good, but here in Europe we'rent second class customer ! What about all the marvels you've marketed in Japan ??? the 905 and so on...

  • TIMMY!!!!!! Long time no see on here. Haven't been online in a while, sorry. E-mail sometime! Harlekkin

  • THANK YOU SHARP!! I knew that you would come back to the European market!! Well done! Keep it up! Thanks for keeping me and Harlekkin Happy

  • That's true, music phone would have been good! However, it will find it's buyers as it is a damn sexy phone! And it will be so cheap, maybe this could bring a break through for SHARP in Europe... Trust me, there's a reason for them doing it. High-end phones flopped here in Australia and Europe, and the latest high-end SHARP phones are TOO advanced for the EU and Asia-Pacifics. We'll have to wait until 2008 to be eligible I believe. Harlekkin

  • sharp's disgrace phone

  • thats true, They could just add a memory card slot, music capable phones sell better...

  • It doesn't matter, it will sell. It's cheap and small and looks very good! SHARP can't and couldn't sell it's high-end phones, so why not try low-end? Why do you think Nokia and SE still bring out very VERY low-end models? Cuz they sell best, are cheap to produce and make the most profit! Harlekkin

  • very very poor...even for a low-end phone from SHARP
