I have a C10D siemens which I value so much. Can anyone help me get it working again. when I switch it on it says 'THE PHONE DISABLED' What code do I need to enter so it can open up again. please help.

Kiran, you asked where to buy battery for your Siemens C10 - it is very simple! Don't search for the original battery, just buy (or find used, but in good condition) three Ni-MH AAA(or AA) batteries, then replace three old (not standard) Ni-MH elements in your Siemens battery with new AAA (or at least AA) batteries. Don't forget to solder thermistor between Ni-MH batteries. Thermistor must be soldered EXACTLY as it was soldered in your old battery. Thermistor has no polarity (no + or -). As a result you will have fresh battery for you old Siemens. Probably the back cover won't fit after you attach the battery. P.S.: AAA size will fit better than AA, because they are smaller; use ONLY Ni-MH batteries; Panasonic and Sanyo Ni-MH batteries are the best; fully charge EACH of the three AAA/AA Ni-MH batteries in the AAA/AA battery charger before assembling the whole 3.6V battery for your Siemens phone; after attaching the fresh battery charge it in your Siemens phone for at least 2 hours or more. P.P.S.: If you've done everything, but your battery doesn't work good that means that you have one or more AAA/AA battery dead OR your thermistor is dead. You can change thermistor with simple resistor of 200kOhms (if it doesn't work - use 20kOhms resistor instead). I've already repaired 2 old Siemens batteries and 1 old Alcatel battery. Good luck!

Eish! was my first phone way back in 1999 back home in Zambia. Really cherished it until battery packed up and couldnt find a replacement. Have changed phones along the way but have maintained the same number i had with my C10!

C10 is a nice phone but we are having problems in Zimabwe because there is a short supply of batteries. Right now i dont have a battery for my phone. How best can you try to rectify this anormally?

Got this phone for my birthday 9 years ago, t'was a fine phone, dropped, kicked, thrown and never stopped working.... can't imagine EVER being limited to just having 10 texts again though :o)

My dad had one of these phones for years he is a truck driver and this phone has fallen out of trucks and that the only reason he had to buy a new phone is cos it drowned one night while he was working lol i mean it was left out in the rain and filled up with water it still turns on and that but sadly no long makes any noise. He says if he could get another phone to last as long as it does he would be happy. In response to the battery not lasting when the phone has no signal it constantly searches for it and this uses the battery power, so thats y it doesnt last for that long.

I�d like to share some experience with the battery life in C10. The stand-by time 80 h is not true in my case. Only 4 h or so (introduced new battery), unless I do some mistake beeing in talk mode (5 h), but I am not actually talking. What is the difference between stand-by and talk and how to reach it. Is it possible that it is so low the time? I can�t switch off the phone completely, I need it to live at least till evening. Eda, Prague

The siemens C10 is a good phone though it would have been better if it had more facilities like a vibrator, time, alarm and all. Generally its ok!
