  • The phone is fantastic but after a few months it starts to shut off by it self and even when I press the power key nothing will happen. It stays in coma for up to 8-12 hours. Its really hard because we can`t remove the battery.

I am working as a photographer in a government sector in middle east once i shoot video in a conference[large hall] in very low light & high back light condition and i play in my 23 inch led monitor really i wonder it is amazing rich HD NO grains very good auto w balance smooth running also ..i just care only the shaking hand [no image stabilization ]some of my friends [ i phone 4s/5 owners ] get shame really when they watch the videos & images & every one take copy from me ..not only image & video all aspect of usage the mobile is wonderful as i am a hard user ..maybe 30/40 times fallen from me wet & hot weather everything suffer this mobile.cons :very rarely hanging [only when you work very hard ]...just only one problem i get when i want to restart .twice restarting itself [the reason is battery not removable ] otherwise just remove the battery keep 2-3 minute & insert and restart there is no any issues.it is really best mobile ..the people complaining any devices not because all the device fault they want to know the proper usage too..

  • You must disassemble your phone (find the video instruction on the internet) and tighten the 3 screws from inside. They are very loosen. After that you'll see that your GPS will work perfectly ;)

  • I am using g this lenovo handset from last one year. But after upgrading software. This handset becomes worse. There is new ok connectivity issue also there is issue with not able to connect wifi also.

  • I see I am not the only one having problems. The connectivity is bearablly mediocre. GPS works, but oftentimes takes 10-20 minutes to lock. The top of display started flickering 3 months after I bought it. 6 months later and I got a dead zone on the right of the screen and a taint covering 1\5 of the screen. When the display is off music starts stuttering every 3 seconds, energy saving I guess. This phone is a disaster.

I don't have google play/ Gmail / youtube and everything connected to google. I can't download google services to allow these apps to work. also, it shows me that i have no SIM therefore I don't have any services - but I do have one !

  • I use this phone for 1 year and half, battery is super however it took too much time to recharge sure, the signals are very bad for cell network and wifi sure not compared to samsung at all. However in means of price i think it is the best for features.

  • I am very unhappy - after spending huge amount for lenovo S860 - we are not getting update for lollipop update, does lenovo want us to stop using their brand and go for reputed phones live nexux, samsung, HTC etc, which provide regular updates to there phones. Samsung J series comes with the range of 8900 which provides latest update of lollipop. I will wait till this December 2015 for lollipop update for lenovo S860 if i dont get official update or the exact date of update in 2016 i will surely recommend all my friends and family to go for reputed brands instead of spending huge money for this kind of phones which do not even for there reputed customers who are using lenovo products for a long period of time that is from past 5+ years.... I am very unhappy with this kind of customer services and showing no interest to address the customer needs, just think spending 15000 for a phone which do not provide update and other brands like micromax provide lollipop updated phone for even 6000 range. Very cheap lenovo technology.

  • i brought Samsung galaxy s4 when it first came out, its super amazing performance phone at that time but battery life is poor, it annoyed me so much, so i start thinking why i have super phone but i cannot go anywhere without bring my charger adapter, so i decided to find a decent phone with super battery capacity so i switched to this phone almost one year ago, i got with my wish but i have lagging issue with lagging, i try alot of unofficial cusrom, it solved the lagging problem but the cusrom is so unstable so switch back to stock rom and try install nova launcer, it surprised me, my phone become so much faster, so much smooth, so now i have a phone with amazing battery live and free lag, i have no plan to switch my phone in sort time, just want to share, now im a happy man

  • i purchased lenovo s860 in the month of feb 2015, within few months i started facing problem , firstly it was charging problem ... the mobile was not getting charge then i went to the authorized service center in nasik and they resolve my problem but after resolving this problem immediately i faced network problem. i was not getting network at all and my mobile was like a dead body for me as no use. three times the mother board was been replaced by the same service center... but unfortunately the problem was not resolved .. ultimately the service center gave hopes as the problem was not been resolved and he tried from his end to make a replacement for my mobile as it was under warranty. but sorry to say he did not get support, respond from lenovo team and finally he told me to take initative and send email to lenovo team and sepak to the customer care. my experience in the last one month was such a harassing, time and money consuming. till date i have not got my replacement when my mobile is still under warranty. they all are duffers and fools the customer by just assuring things but zero output. every time i call the customer care number of lenovo i have to start from beginning and waste my time, then they keep you hold on phone not less than half and hour and when they dont find any problem solution they deliberately disconnect the call. and again when we call them up there lines are busy and again another executive and again the same story repetition and again no response no solution. i am now too fed up and frustrated and they have a very low quality mobile which are defective and neither they have the problem solving capacity. i am literally counting my patience. what a third class service they are proving. they neither are aware about the warranty terms and conditions as different number of executives gives different types of answers. they really make us go mad and loose our patience. i kindly request all the customers to beware from lenovo products specially smart phones which are really not worth, my money 16800/- goes all in vain. they are deliberately making it delayed as they dont want to give replacement and wasting the warrant period. since last one month i am chasing to these lenovo team, but they are hopeless and gon-case in giving solutions. they even dont reply your email . i had a very bad and worst experience with lenovo s860 mobile. i personally request all the people to not purchase any of the lenvo mobile and they have to repent on their decision .. like how i am repenting today. please don't go for it. its my humble and genuine request and alert for all of you.

  • I don't know if it is only my phone but my s860's screen overheat very fast. When I open the camera app the screen brightness is set to the highest. The battery lacks calibration, it will stay at a level for a very long time and then the level will drop 1% every 10seconds. Can anyone explain the problem?

I've upgraded the the firmware until the latest version and everything works well...the battery lasts 2 days in normal use and only 1 day in high use...the annoying thing is the gps takes quite long time to lock..and my original charger was broken since 5 months ago...fortunately, i have a spare lenovo charger (from my broken s820) and everything is fine.. overall, im quite satisfied with this phone...especially its battery life..never use any powerbank since im using this phone...cheers

  • Actually the phone is good because of it's big 4000 mAh battery and two SIM cards capability. What I don't like in this phone pretty much is: 1. It is downloading some apps like "Battery doctor", some service apps without my approval. I purchased the phone directly from China and probably that is the problem. Service apps that I don't actually need are downloaded by the phone without any notification and even some games like "Coin Dozer" start right after I turn the phone on even though I never gave an approval to download it. 2. Sound of the keybord when typing sms is very unpleasant! The rest is good.

  • Please don't buy this phone. So heavy. 190g. :3 So long time takes for the fully 100% charging. On 4 or 5 hours. I don't like Lenovo because it's confirm have any problem at some part. Like my laptop. Also Lenovo, the screen light have problem while it's 1st hand.. My dad, my mom and my sister also using Lenovo handphone..   • This is my first and last time of buying Lenovo s860 smart phones. Though the appearance looks attractive but the function does not attract the user. It always stucks, does not run properly though its only 2 months since i bought this phone. The battery life is very short. Only camera function is good. Contacts cannot be displayed most of the time. When i need to call urgently this phone never functions; i have to wait at least 20 minutes for loading. It does not worth for the money i spend for it.

  • Never ever update your Lenovo S860 or else your phone will start having problems like wifi connectivity and touchscreen irresponsiveness just like mine. Luckily I got mine replaced with new one.

  • Been using this model for 1 year 1 month now. Battery performance is like 2000mAh not 4000mAh as before. Line reception is getting bad. I couldnt use GPS maps ever since i bought because of Maxis cant detect model. Therefore, slower browsing. Past 2 months, restarting the phone frequently. Lenovo antivirus app is monthly subscription basis not free. Next target is P70. Hopefully no issues on the model and Maxis

  • I'm reading all these comments, and as far as I can see there's a lot of people here who bought cheaper chinese copy of S860 on ebay and now they're talking bull***t. I have mine for 6 months now (original with 2GB of RAM). I'm very happy with it. I have used it as a gps navigator on my business trips, and it works perfect. The wifi is great, so as the network signal. I was trying to buy it in Croatia, Serbia, France, Hungary and Germany,lookin for it online, reading...for a month, and I've found out that there is no way to buy the original in western Europe, because Lenovo wouldn't export it there for some reason. They were selling their phones in Serbia and Hungary, but the dealers (who are all listed on Lenovo's webpage, and you cannot buy the original somewhere else), couldn't get this model. They were offering me some other lenovo phones instead. Finally I've found only 2 pieces in MediaMarkt in Pecs, Hungary, emailed them, reserved it, and went there to buy it. I'm writing this from S860. I really really love the phone. Only thing that could be a little bit more precise(but it does work) is the screen rotation, but despite it, I would buy it again definitely.

  • I found the lenovo S860 terrible... I carry another phone despite having a dual Sim phone cause the OS in S860 can't handle the load... Software hangs and I ave to keep rebooting it.... I can go on and on..... In short My 3 yr old S3 is a lot lot better

  • If you have lately upgrade firmware you must reset to factory defaults, first backup any files maybe you have and contacts.

  • I've been using this phone for just over a month now and I really love the battery capacity, I can go a full day with just a single charge. Apps I frequently use are: BBM, Whatsapp, Chrome, Twitter, Clash of Clans. At first I experience weak signal too after updating to latest firmware; but not any more, I don't know how or why but the signal is strong now.

  • I've been using S860 for couple weeks. In my opinion, this phone is good, but not great. I am satisfied with the build quality, especially with it's metal body, feels premium. The drawback is the connection issue. Lenovo S860 is a dual sim card GSM Phone, but it will not work when you used both sim card slot... Signal lost and wifi issue are the result of this phone firmware weakness. May another update (after ROW S405) can solve this matter. If the problem solved, this phone is perfect...

  • Hello, I suggest to chose another phone. I was expecting to be a good product (i have other very good Lenovo products), but this phone has a lot of issues with the signal, the gps (even with data) it takes more than 10 minutes to detect your location and is seeing you in the other side of the city. Beside this, considering that is a design issue (is a problem for almost all customers), lenovo does not have any official statement and they are not even working to fix the problem. Software updates (Android 5.0) are released for other phones, but they are not taking S860 in consideration for these updates. I was totally disappointed by Lenovo with this product, and i will not buy any other phone or tablet from them. They are really good at notebooks, but that's all.

  • Hey guys, I've been thinking about purchasing a Lenovo for my husband, but still haven't decided which one I should get him. The S860 was my first idea, since a friend of mine has been using it for a few months and she's been pretty happy with it. On the other hand I read some good things about the new Vibe X2, but the long battery life wasn't a plus there. So basically I am looking for a good smart phone, with a long lasting battery, easy to work with, as big as the S860 (my husband has big hands:)), good audio and video. What would you suggest?   • I have solution for who lost data connection :- Go to system setting>more>mobile network> roaming>data roaming and then select right mark to your data connection card.. It dont cut your mobile Balance and connect you with your mobile data.. You never lost your connection..

  • Bought an original Malaysian set two days back, spent the first day to get it up to date. The reason I got this phone is because p70 is out of stock everywhere else and someone leaving comment saying that the latest update solved the network issue. I can confirm that it is not the case at all. I am using two Maxis cards and never have I seen the signals go below two bars, on my device it is always a bar or nothing on sim1. Data connection can go off sometimes although it did came back without having to restart. Here is a bigger issue, the WiFi signal and stability. A side by side test with my old p780 and mi3 shows extremely disturbing results. On the p780 it does close to 6MB both download and uploaded, mi3 does over 6MB probably due to better hardware on the Snapdragon. The s860 only does 0.18MB the first time and 1.2MB the second time. With this u can tell just how weak is the WiFi signal on the s860. Even with better signal, the WiFi disconnects quite frequently which is a pain when youtubing or browsing. Sent the device back and they only agree to downgrade it back to jellybean, heck I could do that myself! I reckon that since many people are having the same issue, it could very well be hardware issues instead of software like most people think. Probably time to find another replacement.

  • I've used this phone a couple of months now. The battery life is really impressive. The emergency battery setting makes the phone go more than 2 weeks between charging. After a couple of charging cycles, 5 hours talk time drain 6% of the battery and that is pretty amazing. The cpu and RAM makes the phone a bit slow, but I bought the phone for the battery life. If you want performance; go for a Galaxy S5 or similar. If you want premium spec. and performance you have to pay premium price.

  • I've been using almost a month after few weeks review many smartphone which were suitable for me. my previous was asus fonepad (as the battery capacity 4000mh) and z5 but not satisfy me as software always crash and hang. Then i saw s860 and read a short review and i bought it. The price very ok for me instead of its spec!. after 3 hours bring to home i cant dial the number (im not properly check at shop). very sad and i guess its cause by touchscreen failure. Next day im send the phone to the shop and after few complaining and checking they offer me exchange 1 - 1. So no problem with that as long i get my right. Actually the phone come with updated os 4.4.2 (not 4.2.2). sometimes some application force close (but not as my asus) . However you can reopen back. My verdict the spec,the quality,user friendly more than average if price is your priority. I bet you will not find any phone with high spec but price much lower than its competitor. The much i love - battery life. i using 3g network with active sosial network and games for the day long with 1 charging. no need power bank or usb cable anyway. if im not use 3g network ,its can standby 3 days long . im really happy as i can save much money than get xperia (used before) apple, samsung (shit), asus..

  • Oh its horrible. The phone has definite GPS issue. I has been under warranty and i have taken it to the service center twice. Both the times the motherboard was changed by them but the issue persists. Now its 11 months and my warranty expires next month. So this is disappointing that they could not get a simple act together. Do not buy it. A phone needs to be comprehensive in what it gives us as features and we should be forced to feel good about the phone due to other features such good battery and big screen. Cheers.

  • Very good phone, for me, but I am in an area with strong signal. Do not upgrade to Kit Kat 4.4.2, you will see almost everything in Chinese and there will be no Google service, annoying. I had to find a working ROM and flash the phone a few times till I found a functional one. I thought a few times that I bricked the phone, it was dead, but I retried and now I have no problem. The software is OK, I am back to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and Google services are OK. No single problem till now, the battery is tremendous. I gave a break to my Samsung S5, I like this phone.

The main thing in this medium is a long lasting battery! 2-3 days of average use! my Iphone lasts one day only with the same usage. 2 SIM cards capacity is a great thing too. Also I haven't expected such a good display quality, but it is well, even comparing with my Iphone 5. But there is a problem: Facebook app is preinstalled and doesn't work. So I can't delete it - system protests, and I can't update it, cause the system says that there is a duplicate app on your phone or smth. like this. So in average the phone is very well! I can recommend it for those who use internet a lot. There can be some problems with the software - that's the main problem. Thechnically the phone is great!

  • Hello everybody, I bought this phone about a week ago, and it has no problems at all. It's the original set and under the warranty of Lenovo Malaysia. I saw a lot of comments about signal issues, which I think isn't true. I'm using UMobile and at my workplace the signal bar is just between 1-3 but the call quality is superb. Battery lasts about 2 days with single charge. 15% of battery to watch 70 minutes of video. 9/10 for the mediocre performance.

  • Did the AP set come with preloaded Facebook apps? If yes, you need to uninstall it, because AP set apps like Facebook will have dat kind of problem.

Wether this phone detect my sim or not. Last i fed up and wanna leave that shop. While i test my sim i see this seller sweat and look nervous.. Luckily my sim detect.. Both side.. I feel satisfied and buy that phone.   • Mina kamil, i've been using this phone for 2 months now and i NEVER had network/GPS issues ! I'm from Romania and i live in the capital, where network is good...i even use 3G net browsing in the subway train, no problems.Regarding the GPS, i've used it about 10-12 times by now and no difficulties. To mention that i purchased my device from an online dealer and it only has 1Gb ram, not 2, so it may not be genuine.But still, works great and i would advise you to get the Apus interface for it, works better than Lenovo's own interface ;)

  • I am using this device for the past 6 Months, I doo experiencing GSM network issue in SIM Slot 1, most of the time network goes down and network will never comes up, I need to restart the device to get the network restored. SIM Slot 2 seems to be OK, but it slot 2 never support 3G network. 3G will work only in SIM Slot 1. Other than this network issue, device seems to be pretty good, Excellent battery back. In case the GSM issue is resolved, then this would be the best device for this Price.

No.1=Everything is perfect, except for the very poor signal reception issue..when my wife iphone 5s, my HTC One M8 and Huawei Honor 6 have good signal in my house, S860 is going hard finding network and to even hold on to a network. No.2=my phone is not reachable and messages is not coming in when signal is there showing few bars..happened few times and this is bad. My first experienced with this phone and the brand especially, is not going well at the moment..hope this help..bye..

  • Yeah signals are getting stuck sometimes but no need to restart guys, just simply go to Sim Management and just turn the sim on and off and your signal is back, hope they could fix this issue. I'm having problem with my front cam though, it's having cloudy whitish like fingerprint-ish look, i don't maybe just only me, but nonetheless a superb phone!

  • Impressive phone. I've using it for about a week and it's very good. The camera is better than I expected, especially at macro shots it's perfect. The battery is amazing. Sound quality is really good. Touch screen is Ok but I would like the three touch keys to be a little more responsive. About the two sims, when I talk to the one sim and someone calls at the other, the phone seems turned off to him, and I get no notification.

  • I have been using the Lenova S 860 phone. The battery back up was really good(4 days) as long as I was not using the WIFI and 3g Data connection regularly. However once I started using the 3g data and Wifi connection for downloading Apps as well as upgrading the android version the performance has become pathetic. Now the battery back is less then 24 hours. Now there is new unique problem which I'm facing with the phone which is whenever there is a change of tower while I'm on move the mobile signal totally becomes dead. So then I have to restart the phone to get the signal, this has become a routine act now and become frustrating..

  • Look if ur router are connected to internet. U can be wi-fi connected to a network, but that network can be offline, in that situation u can comunicate only with router and other devices from network, not www

  • It needs seconds to connect and browse the internet, the speed and the battery back up is amazing.

  • Reset the connection and try again, see if you have any wrong configuration in the mobile or in the wifi router you use.

  • This is one of worst phone I used. Previously I was using nexus 4. After using of Lenovo I forced to go back to my nexus 4 and Motorola G. Reason: The reason I choose this phone is because of spec (quad-core, 2gb ram, 4000mah, dual sim). When start i felt even all this spec this phone gets hangs, delay responses made me MAD several times. Other thing is the touch response of the screen is worse than the smart phones we find in market below 10000.00Rupees. The battery performance is the only good thing can say out. But it can be stay long if this phone have good battery management. Overall am totally unhappy

  • Install an application that works, i have gps with no internet and works perfect! And i can say it is very accurate.

  • Yes it can, find satelites and use GPS offline. I have an old Xperia Neo, which I use for navigation when I'm abroad-No sim, no nothnig. Usulally having WIFI on helps for the compass. You just have to wait a bit longer the first time to locate you. I recommend using offline navigation app, i.e. Sygic, also Nokia Here Maps is available now. GPS and GPRS are two different things.

  • Mine locks directly, look the program you use for gps and see if there is some configuration more to do. Try GPS Status & Toolbox app too. The best is that i have gps reception in places that with my previous phone haven't, its simply perfect!!

  • Rooted well check if everything went go in the rooting, its something i dont like , i prefer the software as it is from the manufacturer, my personal opinion is more stable. See if you can revert to the original software , they made a great job with it. This phone is excellent .

  • Your problem happened so much in malaysia. updated and chinese words everywhere, and no playstore. there is solution but i think you need to root the phone to install gapps (playstore).

  • The best endurance so far is 1 day 7 hours, with on screen 10 hours. This is heavy usage. 3G browsing, FB, gaming a bit. My S860 1GB version, using S308 firmware.

  • Save your files and make a reset to factory defaults and all will be perfect. The 4.4.2 upgrade made it working even more smoothly . Make the reset and you see the difference.

  • I've upgraded my S860 to the latest system update available OTA (kitkat 4.4.2), but the UI become very laggy now. It was very smooth on the Jellybean before. It doesn't lag at all in playing any games though. The battery endurance seems lasts even longer on kitkat which makes me love it even more. I wonder if the factory reset will fix the UI lag problem. I'll do factory reset and report to you guys soon.

  • No it doesn't have any partition. May be it can be devided into 2 partitions but I still don't know how. It is shown 3,17 is occupied for the OS, and the rest is free for apps, music, photos, etc. Don't worry about not enough storage because you can move any file or photos to flash disc using USB on the go cable which is included in the box. Good job lenovo!

But after 3 times updates to the latest one (files 0.99gig, 400+mb and 300+mb) seems all those troubles gone! Have no issues 'bot it. One question left, is the rear camera a static zoom??   • Hi, it is a very good phone. If you dont want to root, dont upgrade the firmware and in a place of good signal, you can very well go ahead. If you root, upgrade then you may face a lot of problems in finding a solution. Very very less developers available for this phone at this point in time. The lenovo people are not responding abruptly to the demands then and there. So use as such the phone, it will be very good.

  • This is the best smartphone i ever came across. I was using HTC One X from past 2 years, I purchased this 3 weeks back, I went to buy Panasonic p81 but i shifted my mind to his phone. Compare the Android device specification with Windows device specification. Why the hell Android need such high specs to run smoothly and windows phone do not. Windows phone glide on specs lower then this device. One option would be going for windows phone too is a very good option. No windows phone have 4000mah battery. Please do not change the design not at all needed. Resolution should be more then 300ppi Since Xiaomi is in corner. It would be very tough competition to lenovo mobile devices. Please increase the HSDPA bands too. Either bring the device in 32GB option or give memory card slot.

  • I think the website is wrong. If you look closely on the pictures posted there, you will see that there are no micro SD slot. S860 battery is non-removable. So if there is a micro SD slot, it should be visible on the external case. Also, if you look at the small box on the right of the website, under "Ports", there are only 1 micro USB, 1 audio jack; which is correct.

  • Same problem here with the BBM. It also happened on the original Jelly Bean firmware. I have red somewhere that the newest version of BBM is buggy. You have to either wait for the newer version. Or install the older (previous) version of BBM.

  • This is somewhat, common, for Mediatek chips. It takes longer time to lock GPS signal. But it will lock. Eventually :) There are solutions available on the Internet, but you will have to root your phone.

  • I'm sorry i don't keep track of all official firmware updates for S860, so I'm not quite sure. What i can confirm is that S860_ROW_S209_140529 firmware is KitKat and Google Play & Hangouts are working properly.

Hence every body is reporting one speaker is working. Technically both are working. " that`s King explanation for the opinion "left speaker not working". Can you please try this site: to test the left speaker is working or not. If it`s working like King opinion, then the left speaker will definitely make some sound even if it`s not loud.

  • well, S860 has much bigger battery than Zenfone 5 (4000mAh vs 2110mAh). It has slightly bigger screen (5.3 inch vs 5 inch). But, S860 is heavier (190gr vs 145gr), feels thicker (although the thickest part in Zenfone 5 is the same as S860 at 10.3mm), and doesn't have external memory slot. Oh and Zenfone 5 outperforms S860 in benchmarks. I personally choose S860 for it's battery and bigger screen. The memory slot in Zenfone 5 is a plus for me, but I can live with 16GB internal memory on S860. Performance is not a very big deal for me. As long as it can play the latest games, then i'm okay with it.

  • I also got those problems earlier, but it was settle after I change my SIM card from SIM2 slot to SIM1 slot. Remember SIM1 is for 3G network and SIM2 is for 2G network. Now my phone got 3G network and it is fast as it use to be.

  • Nirmal, thats because Vodafone KAR doesnt have a 3G license in KAR, and it uses Airtel resources. And for your phone to discover the 3G Network of Airtel it needs the 2G of Vodafone Network. Technically its called Neighboring Cell Info.

  • it happened in my device as well. I have tried clearing cache, clear data, re-install, etc. to no avail. I red somewhere that the latest version (June 17 2014) is buggy. So you can either install the older version, or wait for the new version.

  • you can check for an update from settings -> system settings -> about phone -> system update. if an update is provided by your network operator, you will see it there. beware though, Kitkat update on my s860 is 0.99GB. You can expect yours to be in around that size.

  • There`s two version s860, the one with 1gb RAM is chinese version (probably a test version of s860 that released in China for local market only). and the one that released in India and released after India should have a 2gb Ram. I`ve test the phone myself when there`s a Lenovo roadshow in my city, the official s860 definitely have a 2gb Ram.

  • Go to Gmail from pc/laptop. Go to contacts. Whatever images you see against the contacts here should appear on your phone contacts as well. I think you have locally stored contact images and have deleted them.

  • Oh you meant while placing a call? I thought you were saying it doesn't show contact picture in call logs/contact list etc. I don't think that's a bug though just lenovo's design for the call app. I do however see a small circular contact pic when receiving a call.

  • In stereo audio Output one speaker will deliver the Bass with less sound and the Other speaker will deliver mid bass and more treble, it is common for all electronic devices. Hence every body is reporting one speaker is working. Technically both are working.

  • What are you guys talking about? Dialer is showing all contact pictures just fine. Just backup your data and factory reset phone if you can't figure it out. The speaker thing has already been talked about several times, one has very low sound compared to the other. Kitkat is working perfectly, if some thing goes wrong troubleshoot and find a fix, it's very likely there is a fix.

  • I have purchased this phone from India two weeks ago. I just had to recharge it three times by now. I read everyday at least 2 hours with the phone and use it for several web researches daily. So you can say, this phones battery life is quite awesome. Refering to the Post that Google Play does not work, I installed it and it works. So no disadvantages so far.   • Post updation to Kitkat(4.4.2), work the Lenovo launcher. The Nova launcher is behaving wierd after the upgrade, with some applications including camera which show the stock android icon instead of the icon of the application. Battery, which was already monstrously powerful has gone beyond imagination. I am getting nearly 40 hours of work with phone switched on non stop for 2 nights. The application bundles are delightfully designed in the Lenovo launcher, so one can generically hit the icon with success everytime. The operations are a tad bit faster. Good upgrade. Go for it.

  • I don't think there is any decent Indian online retailer who would sell/ship Lenovo internationally, they're an import business model not export. Try a Malaysian seller or even Russian for that matter, South East countries all have the 2GB RAM version, might have better luck there.

  • Just saw the video, i think the reviewer is slightly confused. He's referring to the system animation as lag, whereas it's just designed to have that loose, slow elastic feel. I'm not using the default launcher but i never once felt any lag either in 4.2.2 or now on kitkat. If u don't like the animation enable developer options (tap on baseband version if I'm not mistaken 7-8 times to get these) and disable all system animations, or change their parameters. --- As for the display bug, it wasn't because of daydream, but instead due to a "block home button" option in Dynamic Notifications. I'm trying out an alternative app AcDisplay now, so far so good.

  • I just rebooted the phone after a normal day's usage and now the display is not turning off!! The power button doesn't work, the one key lock button goes to lock screen but display stays on! Been 15 minutes already, a second reboot didn't help either. This is the craziest bug I've seen, does anyone have any ideas? I can't keep the phone switched off, will try going to a service centre asap tomorrow but I'm not even sure where it is in my city

Maybe for some people they hesitate to buy this phone because there`s no external memory can be added. that could be a booster reason for Lenovo to upgrade the internal memory =D That`s what i think ^^

  • Wowww finally got a review from youtube where there`s a usb OTG included in the box (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl5rk8hFFAQ) and i think it`s really only the right side speaker that works, or the left side of the speaker is functional but have a little sound (as ddy7 said). because as in the review video, when the user close the left speaker with the finger the quality of the sound didn`t change. but when the right side is close by finger the sound is drop =D can`t wait for more review and info, i really hope Lenovo make another update for the internal memory. 32gb would be nice =D

  • Have you tried opening the File Manager manually to see if it shows external connected? Might be a faulty cable, I have File Manager open automatically upon connecting. Get it replaced if you got warranty.

  • Yes, BOTH speakers work but the left one (left as in when I'm holding the phone and looking at it) has very low sound, but there definitely is sound coming from it. I don't think it is gorilla glass, although I immediately got a screen guard put on the phone when I bought it - touch and scrolling is perfectly fine with the screen guard.

  • Where did you buy it from? You should ask them again because I got an unopened box and OTG cable was included. You've paid for it, you should definitely get it. After about 5 days of usage: battery settling in and adjusting to my usage, I only need to charge once every two days. Call quality great, reading ebooks easy on the eyes and very convenient, I'm really enjoying the sturdy feel and weight also now.

  • Got this phone yesterday. OTG cable was not inclued. Only one of the speakers works for me. But the sound is still really loud och pretty good too. Some other reflections: - Call quality is excellent. - The design and build quality is great, much better than other Lenovo phones I have tried. Almost as good as the HTC One. - It feels great in the hand because of the curved back. - Battery life seems good, but I need more time to give it a fair judgement.

  • Audio : Blocking bottom left speaker does cause sound level to drop but the other speaker is also working, definitely stereo though I don't know too much about acoustics and quality. All I know is when uncovered these speakers are extremely loud and work well. OTG cable - was included in the box I bought; I bought it from the local market and shopkeeper opened the box and showed me all that was included +charger, and USB connector. No external card slot, micro-sim is used, not laggy at all! It's working very well, looks good and is running all the apps and games I used on my Galaxy S3 earlier.   • Hello, can any owner of the phone please test the speakers and let me know if it is really stereo. My one seems to have audio output only through the speaker grill on the bottom right side. If I block that off with a finger, the sound drops significantly, telling me that the speaker grill on the bottom left is only for show.   • It is heavy but you get used to the weight, can't hold it for longer than 20-25 mins without resting (which is actually good thing according to me). It does have an OTG cable in the box, which works just fine, i don't know what this commenter below is talking about.

  • Bought this phone two days back and love it. I pushed the use today just to see what the battery's capable of - 7 hours screen time so far and still 46% battery left. Wifi/data on throughout, auto sync on, whatsapp, hangouts and a live wallpaper as well. The default Lenovo ui is so cute as well, far better than Samsung's ugly interface. The only con is the LED notification doesn't work for anything other than call/sms/charging; hardly a deal breaker though. Question: Has anyone received the kitkat update? I bought this phone thinking the update was already available, doesn't seem to be the case. I do hope Lenovo pushes it out soon, it's a brilliant phone overall, especially for this price.

  • 2 thumbs up for this awsome smartphone, last long battery backup although 2-3 days of backup as told by many sites is not there for hardcore users like me who run it all day like whatsapp facbuk 3 hr, gaming 4hrs, browsing 5-6 hrs and calling around 2 hr but yes my day is over and i still have 20-25% of battary backup for another few hours. Best smartphon at this price. I recommend buy it if want battary with performance and features, better than k 900 and vibe x.

  • Sound from speaker is really fabulous. The earpiece audio levels are good ...both are much better than the speakers on the earlier model P780 that has similar battery backup.

  • Yes, it is very much worth the INR 20k price. The 2GB RAM allows many more apps to run - over 1.4GB Free RAM at startup without 3rd party apps loaded. Also, the 12.5GB free storage is quite enough keeping in view that USB OTG is supported.

  • I have had this phone for about 2 weeks. Phone battery is the best if all smart phones that have ever been made. At the top of my phone I got a slight chip and I cannot recall the phone falling. This is a little upsetting. The touch screen is loud when being used to write messages eg this review. Voice quality is clear bit I would have liked if it had more volume. A good case is not available yet for this phone.

  • Speaking of limited 16gb internal space...User space is around 12.5 Gb..Even if they have not provided microsd card slot..The OTG cable helps you to use other storage devices...so there is an option..12.5gb is sufficient for me for videos, heavy games, songs etc ...Actually it depends on your usage..Games run very smooth due to good ram.. Where ram is 2gb and GPU mali 400 (500Mhz) no load on 1.3 Ghz quadcore processor...work is distributed..hence no heating of handset and good battery life..and the battery app also helps a bit to save battery...

This phone does not have any gorilla glass check out at lenovo.com This phone is really a good phone as i am using it ... as the the ram is 2 gb process is fast and consumes less battery.. Comparing to technical specs there is no other phone under 20k. The screen is IPS LCD pretty good to use and the 1.3 QC GHZ processor + 2GB ram + Mali 400 (500 Mhz)GPU is relally good configuration. This a good phone to buy as 2gb ram helps to the keep the phone multitasking...Stop comparing the phone with other devices like samsung S5 etc first look at the price and battery life which is really important nowadays.. Under 20k its an best deal...And buy it from official site even if you need to wait.. Thanks frnds..

  • Never buy this product I was using canvas HD before this I felt HD very smooth when switched over to lenovo I felt very hard though the processor is 1.3Ghz and UI very bad net browsing is agonising waste of money better go for Samsung galaxy grand 2 in the same price range

  • lenovo s860 got 2 version.... ram 2gb is original lenovo malaysia set. ram 1gb is ap set & very-very slow.. so...! buy original set with 2gb-ram. u will happy..!

It will last at least 2x of most of the flagship phones in the Market. -Heating of the device: Slight heating while charging and playing very heavy games. -Overall suggestion: Perfect device in terms of price performance.

  • Yes..the auto rotate function is not functioning..went back to this phone shop and they claimed there is problem with the firmware and yet lenovo still dont have the updates..then i went to lenovo center but they claimed it is hardware failure right after they formatted the phone which i think it does not make any sense at all..

  • I think there`s two version of lenovo s860 currently available now in the market. one with 1gb RAM, another with 2gb Ram. I`ve been searching for a while, there`s some online shop that sell lenovo s860 with a spec written "1gb RAM". at first i was thingking it`s just a mistake, because i only found in 1 or 2 website that sell "1gb RAM" Lenovo s860. But today when i search again (due to some comment here that asking why their lenovo s860 only have a 1gb RAM), and i found that there`s more website that sell a Lenovo S860 with a spec "1gb RAM". So for now i take a conclusion, maybe there`s two variant for this phone.

  • How did you buy the S860 2 months ago when it was launched only on 1 May 2014? And yes, the original / genuine screens for all smart phones are in the similar price range. Please get a bumper case to save the screen next time.

  • Just got this after using a P780 for 7 months. First, I miss the Co logo on the front - without that it looks like a generic phone. Secondly, the lack of SD expansion is missed. Other than these 2 cribs, it is a very nice device - the 2GB RAM helps speed up apps. I am a very heavy user with 2 SIMS, 4 active email accounts, WA, Viber, Tango and lot of browsing and the battery life on the S860 is as good as the P780 though the screen is a bit larger. More later after I use it for a few weeks.

To my horror I could not find the glass anywhere .Then I enquired in the service centre and I was told that the replacementcost would be 11500/- , can anyone believe the cost of replacing display of a 16000 bucks handset would be 11500/-. I have Samsung phone and change card twice, that's because the first one is corrupted (the other disadvantage if you can add memory by your own). Second: most current smartphone only support 32GB memory card (please tell me which supports more) and this phone have 16GB. Why the hell are you complaining about SD card slot? Buy tablet instead if you really need much memory space.

  • I got this phone yesterday for 19.3k from Ghatkopar cellular joint nx. Screen is good. Build is good. 2 speaker grills but mono speaker. Battery is good. Haven't tested headphones. Dual Sim not tested. Slightly taller for the screen size. Suggest lenovo to move dedicated menu buttons to on screen ones.

  • The looks and the specs look good. With the price vs overall features - it surely looks like a killer. Has a quad core, dual sim, 8/5 MP camera, 4000mah - wht else do you need with 2GB RAM & 16GB internal mem. I think this will do well. And the looks are also very decent!! Good phone at last.
